This is the Truth Network. This started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossing. When a car is down and it's luck, when it breaks overheats, it gets stuck. That's when she does her stuff, and her stuff is more than enough. That's when you call and you call and you call a tow truck.
Joe to Joe. Welcome to the Christian Car Guy Radio Show. This calls for action. And now. Drive me safely home.
Door truck, drive me safely home Drive me safely home Toad truck, drive me safely home When a car is down on its luck When it breaks overheats it gets stuck That's when she does her stuff stuff is more than enough. That's when you call, when you call, when you call it. Heavenly. I don't know where Mother Lucky and all this. All these songs that Heavenly tow truck today on the Christian Car Guy Show.
How fun is that? And uh when you think about it, Uh As I was thinking about Mark chapter 4, a fairly familiar story, you know, one of the fundamentals, I think. Uh as far as Jesus stories Um A heavenly tow truck is what we're talking about. But in the meantime, we would love for you to call in today. Again, we're so honored to have you listening.
And of course, I'm here today with my good friend Jerry from Ray's Bobby Shop and Wrecker Service. That's a tow truck, if you didn't know Wrecker Service. It is.
So, you know. I I bet you're like me that You've been in a situation that just looked horrible. And all of a sudden, man, here they came. And they towed you like you didn't think there was any way out of this one. 866-348-7884.
866-348-7884. Or maybe. You know, God pulled you out of the mud or a ditch, as my friend put it. There was something that you thought. You were stuck.
But God had other plans.
So in this case, in Mark chapter 4. As we just read this story, I want you to listen to it maybe with fresh ears. It says And that same day when the evening had come, he said to them, Let's pass over to the other side. And Matthew, by the way, it says he commanded him. We're going to the other side.
It'd be interesting to see how he actually said it. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even in the boat or the ship. And also, there were other little Boats. And when there arose a great wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. What?
I don't remember that before. Like the boat I knew it was getting full. But full?
Now, you know, you may have known that Jesus was asleep in the transfer of the back of the boat. On a cushion.
Well, that cushion was getting wet. Yeah. And on the back of the ship, asleep on a pillow, they awake him and said, Master, care thou not Don't you care? That we perish? Have you Thought that?
Maybe didn't say it? Like, Jesus, don't you care? This is going on in my life right now. Don't you care? And he arose and he rebuked It's fascinating that that word that he uses there.
He rebuked the wind and the sea. Uh you just didn't Rebuke the wind that it would stop. But maybe you've been out in the ocean. When the wind stops, the ocean doesn't stop.
Okay, I mean It's one day. Right. The waves are still coming.
So it says that he did both. And it says, and they ceased, and there was a great calm. That word in Greek is actually mega. There was a mega calm. Right?
Pretty darn calm, right? Pretty darn calm. And they said to him, Why are you? And he said to them, the disciples, why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?
And you know, they were scared a minute ago when the boat was sinking. And I don't know how you know it, but once the boat's full like that, it can capsize and you're in the middle of the A storm where you can't swim. Yes, it's only 13 miles across the Sea of Galilee, but that's seven miles if they're out in the middle. It'd be a long swim if in a storm. But after he did that, they were even more scared.
And they were exceedingly scared, and said to one another, What manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea? Obey it. Right. So It's fascinating to me. That's a great question, right?
What manner of man is this? And I wonder if You know, also you can call in with this. Have you ever been terrified? Like of God. Or Jesus.
In other words, the fear of the Lord is beginning a knowledge. And then, sooner or later, you know, for a lot of us, you've had that experience where, oh my goodness. I mean what And I think that's an aspect to God that That we don't want to miss out. You might remember in C.S. Lewis's book, The Chronicles of Narnia, where.
Lucy asked mister Beaver. Yeah. Is he safe? Is Aslan safe? And he goes, Oh, he's not safe.
He's not safe, but he's good. But he's good, but he's not safe. It's a fascinating thing to think of the power. I mean that even the wind. I mean, y y if you're in this little boat and now you're in the boat with a man that can stop the wind and it's ocean like that, like calm, like boom, the whole world changes that quick, like it's a pretty It gets in that little different idea of the fear of the Lord.
Like, oh my gosh, like, what in the world am I involved in? And we would love to hear your. Take 866-348-7884. There's a whole lot to think about. And of course, we would love to hear yours.
But you know, some things that caught my attention, obviously. Is Maybe not so obviously. What's the beginning of this story? Why was he even going over there and why didn't he tell anybody?
Well, it's a significantly huge part of the story. He was going over there to save a guy. In fact, he was going over there to save one of the most wretched, horrible situations that you could possibly imagine yourself. This man was demon possessed, not by one, but by a legion. He was so tor up.
that they couldn't even keep him with metal You know, what do they call the bracelets? Whatever you want to do. Shackles, and he just broke those things like they were nothing. And he would cut himself and scream and howl and yell. And you know, Jesus.
was on a rescue mission. And even told the guys we're going to the other side. And so there was a promise right there. And you do realize that the church has said for years: Jesus is in your boat. Right.
Clearly. he's gonna get you to the other side and This is a matter of faith, right? And it's not faith looking backwards, it's faith looking forwards. And I don't know if you've ever thought about the concept. We have faith based on what he's done in the past, et cetera, et cetera.
But how's your faith looking forward? Like, what's he going to do with that situation? And that's what he's really calling the disciples to in this story: to take your faith. and put it out ahead. of the thing because hey we're on our way to a rescue a guy That is really in bad shape.
Really, really bad shape. And again, when all the disciples are hearing the wind of that storm and all that howling, he's hearing this guy's howling and he's saying to the storm, actually the words in Greek, shut up. It says to be muzzled. It's fascinating. He doesn't and and it's almost as if the storm came as a demonic assault on him to keep him from going over there.
It's like we're going to put on a amphibious assault against you because. He didn't tell the the storm to necessarily in fact both words where he said Peace, be still. That's what it says.
Well, that word peace is to hold your peace, which means be quiet. and then he says Muzzle yourself.
Okay, or in the vernacular that most of us say, shut up.
Now you just picture, right? He's he's asleep, right? He's rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. And he's telling this. You clearly tell them to see.
And, like, no, no. And the point of that is you're hearing all those voices right now that tell you. Man, you're not going to get through this financial crisis you're in. Your your situation with your children You know, that that They're not calling you, or whatever the situation may be with that, that they're far from the Lord, and you're worried. Jesus says he he's on the way.
I mean, he hears those voices, and there is nothing, nothing. They they would stop him, right, Jerry? Oh, absolutely. That that story, one thing is just kind of Sticks out to me. One is when you talked about all of a sudden they had a fear of Christ at that time.
I mean, Not of him like I'm scared of him, it's just a fear of the power that he has. All of a sudden, you know, this man is not, there's something different. How in the world could he do that? You know, I think sometimes we all have to get to that point of understanding God's power, His justice, and His righteousness. It would be good to know, right?
Oh, absolutely. The more we know, the better we like it. 866-348-7884. What say you? We'll be right back.
You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. This started getting from Drive me safely. We on tow truck truck. Let me say it, Cleon. When a car is down and it's luck.
When it breaks over hits it gets stuck. That's when she does her stuff. And her stuff is more than enough. That's when you call, when you call, when you call it to truck. To dump it.
Heavenly tow truck today on the Christian Car Guy Show. We're having fun with this idea. And maybe you tried to call in a few minutes ago and it was busy. By all means, try again. 866-348-7884.
866-348-7884. If you have that heavenly tow truck story, or maybe you had that fear of God story, or maybe. You had a real tow truck story where you felt like it was God that was, that was. coming to pull you out of the ditch in in Like a real car situation. Like I had one of those one time.
Like a man came from nowhere and and Just bailed me out of a horrible situation. You know, you can't explain it. How exactly that happened? I don't know, but I know God sent him, whoever he was. Yeah, I'm on Robbie.
I'm gonna real quick share a story. This happened to me on a mission trip when I just got back from Jamaica. We're on the island an hour and a half and we're heading up the mountain to Mandeville. And if you've ever gone there and had to rent any of what they call buses, they're these Toyota Nissan vans. And they drive on the wrong side of the road.
They drive on the wrong side. The seat and the steering wheel's on the wrong side, everything.
So you get in there and you get behind the wheel and first thing my brain is trying to recalibrate everything. We're going up the mountain, like I said, about an hour into the trip. which is uh three and a half hours to Mandeville. and I had a double blowout. bow towers on the left side.
blew out. running about sixty miles an hour.
Well, these roads are a lane and a half at best. When that happened, it instantly jerked me to the left, which would put me off the road. And there was a lot of Jamaicans walking on the road and that kind of stuff 'cause we were coming up to a little area that had a lot of the little village markets and stuff and little huts outside. Yeah, that's a horror.
So I jerk it back to the right. When I did that, I realized there was a truck coming at me.
Okay, I've got a fan load of... People from My church, and they're screaming.
So then I decide I have to go back to my left.
So I turn back to the left, and I'm trying to get slowed down without because it really felt like I was on like the van was on a flip because of right, of course.
So I finally said, Lord, I pray there's no Jamaicans on the side of the road here, or I hope that they hear me coming.
So I go. Off to the road. Dust is flying, parts are flying off the van because it's beating everything to death. I come sliding in and there was a little market there. Both towers blown on the left side.
Instantly, I mean, the woman came out that ran the market and the little store and stuff, and all the guys, everybody got out, and they were all kind of shaking. Van behind me. And Out of nowhere, this Jamaican guy.
Well, first thing when I get out, a Jamaican comes running up to me and says, Hey, hey, brother, you don't drive like a white man. And I really wasn't sure what that meant, but all I knew was I was still alive. But is God having a having watching over me? This guy came out and he says, It happened right in front of my business. I have a garage, which was just a his garage was a nice tree that made shade, and they were out there working on cars.
But he came up and helped get helped me get tires changed. We had to take a spare tire off of one of the other buses so I could get two tires on this one. And man, I'm gonna tell you what, if it hadn't been for him in that one spot, because also. She allowed sh her house was behind her little little hut store and she took some of the women that that needed to go to the bathroom up to her house and stuff. It was very I mean, just saw Jesus working there.
And also just that gentleman had come, man, he was he was down in the dirt and on the ground crawling and stuff and You know, it's no pavement around there, so you're in the dirt, and it had been raining, and so it was kind of. muddy here and dusty there, but You know what? When I got away from that, I pulled out and I said, Man, God is good, because it could have happened anywhere on this road. Oh, it did. And it could have been.
Oh, yeah. If it pulled you left right then when the truck was, you know, it would have been. A catastrophe. Yep. I know this has happened to you, and you want to call in.
I give you the number. It's 866-348-7884-866-348-7884. It's miraculous. You obviously want to give God the glory for it. And those are the opportunities that, man, when I think about that.
Because you're you're in a place where Nobody, you're totally uncalibrated, period, because you're not in your own element at all. You're in a foreign country, and it's a little scary to begin with because every place in Jamaica is not completely safe. Yeah, when you go off and you knew it was having to come to a stop, my prayer is: you know what? I hope this is a safe area. And I hope And it was just, I mean, it couldn't have been any better.
Now, I did have a couple of people in my bus that this was their first mission trip. I really, I know this, I know this, that they were probably thinking, how much would it cost me to give him to turn this thing around, take me back, get the next plane out? But, but, man, God bless the whole trip and stuff.
So, but yeah, that was a time that absolutely God had. I mean, grace of God, things turned out Wonderful. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. And, you know, I I I've had Like I said, similar experiences like that.
But just again, I loved what it says in that song. Take me home. tow truck. You know, when you when you you know, when I was a kid, um A friend of mine just got his driver's license, and we, at the time, I lived in New Mexico, and we went up fishing in the mountains. It was a dirt road and it started to rain, and he had no experience, and he drove this truck right off the cliff.
I mean, Seriously. You dirt road in the mountains, you go off the cliff and you know, down slam into a tree and stop. Thank goodness. Because I don't know what would happen. But man, when you were in that.
Rescue vehicle. And there was just this sense of peace that had happened from like, man, we're going to die, it's just trauma. But then all of a sudden, You're in the rescue vehicle, whatever that may look like. It may have been a boat for you. It may have just been, you know, somebody's car that was taking you from a bad experience.
But take me safely home. That's what they said in that song. And I clearly, whoever wrote the song had been in that situation to where. You know, you're vulnerable and you're out there. And God is going to bring you home.
866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. We're going to go to the mailbag when we come back because we have some questions we want to answer from some listeners. out of Ohio. 866-348-7884.
Give us a call. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Up where this started getting rough. Try me. Save.
We are truck drive. Be safe, Leon. When a car is down, it's low. When it breaks over eats it gets stuck. That's when she does her stuff.
And her stuff is more than enough. That's when you call, when you call, when you call a toad, to toad. Heavenly tow truck today on the Christian Car Guy Show. How fun is that? Maybe you have a story along these lines when you were down on your luck, whatever that may be, and a car or, you know, and a heavenly tow truck showed up.
We love testimonies. We'd love to hear your story. 866-348-7884. I got to tell you that.
So blessed this week. We had two cars donated to the Jesus Labor Love. For those of you who are not familiar, the Jesus Labor Love is car repair labor and sometimes a car for single moms, widows, and families in crisis. It's a 501c3 that's part of the Christian Car Guy Show. And we're so blessed by the donations, which have been.
Uh, rich again this year. And the cars, I don't know that we've ever had more cars donated than we've had this year, and uh, but we've had more needs. There's still a waiting list, believe me. And uh, You know, it's amazing to see how God and it You know, even just yesterday, you know, got a call from an agency that works with um pregnancy women that are deciding whether or not to have an abortion, essentially. And um they had a mom that That was her need.
I mean, in order to keep the baby, she had to have transportation and blah, blah, blah. And what an honor it is that your donations, your prayers, and all for the Jesus Labor Love would come in and help. That was a heavenly tow truck for her. I can assure you, you know, it's a really beautiful thing to see what God does. That you, you know, you get to take a peek at that.
But also, we wanted to talk about the mailbag this week. See, we got an email from a gentleman in Ohio, and I'm going to email him back if he's not listening today, but hopefully, he'll know. He was. struggling because his Jeep Uh 2001, I think as I recall, Jeep delam the paint delaminate. Right.
And it was it was that's a issue on them Chryslers and that was yours. For sure. It's a horrible looking thing. You know, when you see the paints peeling off, and maybe you've had that happen with a car, and part of the paint's peeling, part of it's not peeling, and it looks horrible. And delamination just means the different layers of paint are coming apart, and especially the clear coat off the top of the base coat.
You know, that's what you see. And the challenge is that it's phenomenally expensive to fix it in an older car like that. to fix it right. Um As we talked about on the phone, I told Jerry the situation, and I'll let Jerry explain, you know, kind of what. you can do if you have to do something, but in my case Robbie would do nothing 'cause you're Kind of in that boat.
Yeah. You know, when you sit there and you get a car, and we haven't come in to raise body shopping record service that wanted an estimate on getting a car, and this is the situation this gentleman is in. Where you sit there and you look at, you know, the car is only worth so much, but to do one properly, and for us to do one properly, or some of the shops to do it the way it needs to be, you're talking thousands of dollars.
So, would you want to put four or five thousand dollars in a paint job on a $4,000 vehicle. I would advise not to unless there's some kind of sentimental reason you think you're going to keep this thing forever or something right or for whatever reason, need to be more than just the value in it just being a car.
So you know, the the options are is there anything that you can do real cheap Uh not to get it back to sh to way it Showroom look and everything, but I also suggest there's plenty of discount. Paint facilities out there, and I will always say, you know, you get what you pay for. But you can get one of those jobs, and it'll, if you look at your vehicle and it's something that your kid is driving, or you're saying, you know what, I just need to bridge the gap and get one or two years, maybe two and a half years out of this thing, and I'm planning on getting rid of it, then this is the perfect solution for you. Just take it to one of those discounts, and there's others in different. Different areas, peaches, and there's some other ones that are regional and stuff that'll do it.
Now, they're not going to be taped up well, they're going to not be prepped very well, but they're going to shine and they're going to look. 100% better. It's not going to be a showroom finish. It's not going to be what you're used to seeing. And they also, you know.
They won't use expensive paint. No, that's a thing for. for for us what we use is a, you know, your thing system, water base, base coat. And for us, an all-over paint job, we have a probably about $1,100 in material only. That's just the liquid material put on it.
Just just a just a different quality. It's sort of like Right, well then Swamiko isn't going to go get what was originally put on that car and covered again.
So they're going to they're going to find some much less expensive process and it doesn't have the layers of paint in it either. Right. And it's and also you have it's it's it's not skilled guys really doing it. You know, it's uh but that goes back to it all. It's you get what you pay for, but it's going to look a hundred percent better and it's going to get you if it's what you're trying to do is bridge it, where when you pull up, everybody looks at it and says, Man, why in the world are you driving there?
You know, it's going to give that first appearance of looking pretty good. 'Cause anything else you do, you know, I've I've seen people who thought you could sin and that and they'll try to s Get a shop or a detail shop and say, Well, I can buff all that stuff off and it'll look decent and they make them look worse. It may look good because then they put a lot of spray stuff on it. It'll look good for 48 hours, and all of a sudden, wow, it looks worse than it did.
So just spending your money, spend it wisely and ask a lot of questions. Take it to, I always say, anybody who needs any kind of work, Take it to a couple of places and get opinions and let them tell you what they think and then make a decision off of that. Right, and that, you know. A recent purchase of a 2007 Prius. which is a pretty neat car, but the deck lid on it's delaminated.
And I can assure you Robbie's gonna do nothing. It does 'cause I d I don't I don't care. You know, and and it's not it's It's not Metal shell and it's not going to rust, and so it's you know, it's delaminated, and that's the deal. You can put some wax on it to make it last as long as it can before it actually all comes off, but you know, there You brought up a good point, though, Robbie. One thing is, if you do have a vehicle and it does have bare metal showing.
Even if it means go by an auto power. Paint supply store and get an aerosol that's close to it and kind of clean that area and blow a little bit of that paint on it. It ain't gonna look pretty, but it is gonna slow down the rust process. Right, right. You don't want bare metal, but if it's delaminated or whatever, put a little wax on it and just, you know.
And it Just enjoy the ride. Enjoy the ride, which I'm doing, which I'm doing. I'm learning all sorts of things about hybrids I did not know. That's really pretty exciting stuff. The genius is stuff that goes into that.
So have fun. Anyway, getting back to our. Heavenly tow truck story, right? As we're discussing this, and I again, I would love for you to call in with your story: 866-348-7884-866-348-7884. One of the things I said that one of the amazing questions in this story is.
Who is this? They can still calm a storm. Really? You know anybody like that? Yeah.
I mean, who is this? And fortunately for you and me, if you've accepted Christ and He's in your life, you know, He's in your boat with you, and He's telling you you're going on the other side, and He's got a purpose, and you're going. And you might as well have fun because you're going. And there's going to be some storms, but he's going to be in the storm with you. Right?
That's the difference. That's the difference between a follower of Christ and a believer and those that aren't. Who's in the boat with you? Right. And he has a purpose for that storm.
He has a purpose for the journey. You know, clearly, this storm was to teach us all about pushing our faith forward. Wait a minute, Jesus said we're going to the other side. What part of this do you not understand? Like, you're going to make it.
You're not going to die. And you're really not. If he's in your boat, you're not gone. I mean, you're going to live eternally. I mean, that's the ultimate picture right there.
But nonetheless, I was praying one night. I have to tell this story because I've experienced this. And I would even Um Counsel people to try to see this side of God. to where he does terrify you. But I was praying.
And he showed up in this particular prayer. And it scared me out of my socks. I just know I was absolutely terrified just with his presence.
Somehow or another, my spirit knew, oh, he's here. And what he said. Simply Robbie, what do you want? And I honestly was just totally glib: like, oh my goodness, this is Jesus, he's here. I'm terrified.
I'm on my face, literally. And his question is, what do you want? and I glibly said, Oh, I just want to serve you and he said, Oh And they just kinda like, oh? And all of a sudden, things started to flash before my face and my whole life. You know what is it?
Like what they're talking about, your stories written in books. Oh, yeah, it is. I'm going to tell you, I've had the experience and I've seen it. Like it's gonna come at you and you can see it and it's all there in all unbelievable detail. But that's another experience of who is this?
Well, we got Ruth in Richmond as a story. I'm very excited about her story. Hopefully, she'll hang on for us through the break, but we need your story: 866-348-7884-866-348. 7884. We'll be right back.
You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Heavenly tow truck today on the Christian Cargas Show. And what We are interested in your story. We would love you to call us at 866-348-7884-866-34 TRUTH. We have Ruth is in Richmond as a story for us.
Ruth, you're on a Christian Cargas Show. Good morning.
Alright. Bobby. I'm catching some other and I'm laughing this morning. The Lord is really giving me the joy of the Lord. But anyway, Kevin drove all the way from Florida with a check engine light on his car.
This was back about four years ago. And he was doing sermons and singing songs. Of course, Mama didn't know that the check engine light was on. And actually he had to go back to Florida after that again in that same car. But when he came back.
Mama had to pay $9,000 for a new transmission. And he saw like National Lap Lampoon, you know, he loves that show. Yeah. But anyway, um, yeah, he but he's been blessed. I mean I don't know how we've made it, to tell you the truth.
He's still got the same car, and it's over 200,000 miles. That's why I've been calling sometimes. I'm the widow because I'm putting out the money. He was going in the bank, you know, up here in Richmond. And I said, Well, why are you going in all the time and talking to that lady?
And he said, Well, because my car window doesn't work now. I said, Oh, my gosh, Kevin, you've got to get that fixed. He went to the place where he works and he said, I said, well, how much is that going to be? And he said over $300. They've got to order the part.
I said, oh my gosh, just to put a window up and down. And so After that, one morning, his car wouldn't start. He came back in. He said, Mama, the car won't start. I'm going to have to jump it.
And somehow, they just char combined everything and they didn't charge him Holly for the wind. I think they just didn't want to fool with it. And the whole bill was like $150. I said, my God. Those ties must Been doing something because the wind got fixed and he had to get a new battery too.
So praise God. That's all I can say. Yeah, exactly. And the joy of the Lord is in you. I can assure you.
I can assure you. That's so beautiful to hear. And I know Kevin is out there. Um he he composes music. He's a very gifted composer.
He's still doing it constantly. Yeah. We we had many car stories. You know, my husband died in twenty five years ago, but we had many car stories. I'll tell you one as quick as I can.
I don't know how quick I can do it. We had a mercury cougar and we were going to the bur beach and um we always would get off Of $95 to eat a lunch at a church or something, and we'd go the back road. Praise God, we did. And so we rode on this country road and when we began to turn right turn I heard a And I said, honey, what is that? And he said, I don't know.
We pulled it to this little country station on a Saturday. Everything else was closed. And the man was inside. When I went up to the door, I hit the alarm. Is that the police?
And uh, anyway, Little did I know is that he ended up. is up showing us uh to go over to Franklin, Virginia, to a mercury place over there. And we got over there, and of course they were closed too. But there was a lady over there driving a mercury, and she said, There's a food line over here, and you're losing oil. We're losing oil from the car constantly.
And so So anyway. Um We we just said, well, we got we're going to have to keep going.
So we c we got we kept going. And And we found one restaurant and the car was just about to blow up. I said, Kevin's got to stop, we've got to stop here because he's got diabetes and he's here. And then we went on down the road. And the Yeah.
Yeah. We were stopped. inputting you know that oh And I won't win it. We bought a whole case of oil. And I saw this man with a He pulls cars.
And I said, Honey, slow down, stop here. And I jumped out of the car and I went running up beside. this. um fence. It had these Doberman pinches, but I didn't see them because I just Yeah the man.
help us Come and help us. Can you come? And he had been out for two days. And he said yes. I will help you.
He came and he put Kevin in the car on the back. Yeah. He towed us to Emerald Owl. And that was a sadder. and Ben Money.
We had to have a car towed over to the town over there, I think it was Beaufort, and they had to put a whole new something other. I mean. Ah, that man checked. he would had not been a Christian. But he had become a Christian.
Christian. And I mean, we talked about God. This is a older. I'm sick. And my husband had heart issues.
Yeah. So He he, um, you know, took the Help us to get the luggage in. And he said, all I asked you for is a little money. Yeah. Make me a pot of coffee and I said, Oh, I.
definitely will.
So, you know, the Lord Is faithful. I just don't know. It was quite a storm, I can tell you. You can't always see him, but he's working for his children. just like we love and work for our children, you know, and Things for our children.
And there's also so many morals to your story. Yeah, one of those is. My husband had had the car looked at before we left, but. Just these kind of things would happen to us. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Well, thank you for your call. As always, Ruth, God bless you and Kevin. I appreciate you so much. Thank you. Have a great weekend.
Bye-bye.
So, you know, there's morals to this story. You know, don't drive. For goodness sakes, don't drive when a red light is on, like an oil light. Don't do that. I mean, it costs you so much more than if you just pull over and get the heavy light.
Yeah. And even a yellow caution light like check engine, right, can mean something. It could mean that you just have an oxygen sensor or something that I understand. A lot of people are driving around out there with check engine lights on, but you just heard from her what happens because sometimes it's something in the transmission. Which also will turn on a check engine light for whatever reason.
They don't say check transmissions. And if you do that in a certain circumstances and you drive it too long, It it can really cost you some money.
So those things are all part of the equation, right? Yeah, sometimes sometimes you don't need to call our towing services if you'll just do the normal you know, and back we live we Robbie, me, you and a lot of our listeners grew up in an area where you pulled up and got gas and there was an attendant there that would check your oil, check your your washer fluid, check your coolant and stuff, check your tire pressure. You know, that's a thing of the past now, so somebody needs to be doing that. I got to tell you, every you know, especially a lot of people don't realize it's normal for a car to burn a quart of oil in 1,500, 2,000 miles. It just is.
I mean, and there's nothing necessarily wrong with the car. And so if you've driven it 7,000 or 8,000 before you checked your oil, you know, it can very easily be two quarts low. And there's nothing anything horribly wrong with a car other than you just need to keep it full of oil.
So You know, every time you you fill it with fuel every time. You pull the hope. That's the way it used to be, and it's the way it should be. Yeah, it's amazing. My cleanup guys are always amazed how many cars come in because when we, after the repairs, we put them in cleanup and they also check the tire pressure, the oil, and that kind of stuff.
Probably one out of 10 will come in and will have showing maybe one quart of oil in the vehicle or just at the very bottom of the dipstick. Right, right, right.
Something you got to check.
Well, thank you for listening. Thank you for your call, Ruth. And, you know, remember, Jesus is in that boat with you if you've asked him in your heart.
