Thank you. So, so Dr. Carson, there's so much happening in the country right now. I want to start about start talking first about your commitment to faith, putting God first. Jesus is the most important thing in your life, in my life.

Talk about that. Well, you know, I grew up in a household of faith, but I really didn't understand it until I was 14 years old when I tried to stab someone. And, you know, the Lord arranged things so that they had a big metal belt buckle on under their clothing and the knife struck that and broke. And they were terrified. I was more terrified than they were thinking. I was trying to kill somebody over nothing.

And, you know, I went to my bathroom and I just started thinking about my life. I turned things around academically by that time because I had been a horrible, horrible student. I had been the worst student imaginable. But, you know, got things turned around academically. But I realized I would never realize my dream of becoming a doctor with a temper like that. I would end up in jail, reform school or the grave.

And none of those appealed to me. So I just prayed. I said, Lord, you got to show me the way.

And there was a Bible there and I picked it up. And there are all these verses about anger. You know, like Proverbs 19, 19, there's no point getting an angry man out of trouble because he's just going to get back into it.

Or Proverbs 16, 32, mightier is the man who control his temper than the man who can conquer a city. And then there were all these verses about fools. And it seems like they were all written about me.

And, you know, and then I just started praying and it came to me that the reason I was angry so much is because I was selfish. It was always about me, my and I. Somebody did this to me. They took my thing. They're in my space.

I want this. And I said, if you can learn how to step outside of the center of the circle and let it be about somebody else, you won't be angry anymore. That was my last great outburst. But I came that day to accept God not only as my Heavenly Father, but as my earthly father to be somebody that I could console.

Now, Dr. Carson, I'll be honest, I can't imagine you getting upset. You are so steady. That really is the transformative power of Jesus Christ.

If you're trying to tell me used to be a hothead. That's exactly right. That's that's what he can do. He can actually change you to the point that people can't even believe that was the way you were.

I can't. And I mean, Dr. Carson, I just want to say, for those who don't know, Dr. Carson's medical career is one of the most impressive in the history of medicine. The lives is just gifted hands.

I encourage you guys to check it out. You have saved so many lives and just incredible. But Dr. Carson, you were loved by the media and loved by people until you started to speak out politically. Of course, it was the famous prayer breakfast where you, let's just say, said a few things. And they weren't really that controversial that you weren't supposed to do what you did. And then you ran for president and you did it so honorably. And I mean, I wish more politicians had the ethics of Ben Carson, don't you? Oh, my goodness.

Thank you, because politicians do what's politically expedient, and I think it's time that we have people do what's right, and just to recognize that you need to have people in the political sphere who realize that they work for the people. The people don't work for them. That's right, and so Dr. Carson, one of the things I want to ask you about, I know you're addressing this with American Cornerstone, is education.

Yes. I am bombarded when I visit these college campuses, and I'm told America is systemically racist. America is systemically racist.

How do you respond to that, and tell our audience about the important work you're doing at American Cornerstone? Well, you know, I get tired of hearing people beat down in our country and say how unfair we are to other people. You know, the fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter where you're in, it doesn't matter where your ancestors came from. They came from England. They came from France. They came from Africa. They came from Sweden.

They came from India. You're better off here than you would be where they came from. You know, there was a time in our history where racism was rampant, okay? But in my lifetime, the time that I've been alive, it has changed dramatically. When I was six years old, I went to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and I saw signs, whites only, coloreds only, and they explained to me what this was all about.

In the same lifetime, we have black admirals and generals and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and heads of foundations and university presidents, and we've had a president of the United States and a vice president, although you don't see her. You know, that really represents a very significant change in a short period of time, and if our country was all that bad, why are these people trying to get in it? And when they get here, wouldn't they call their relatives and say, don't come here. This is a horrible place. This is not what we're seeing.

We're seeing they're still flooding in in record numbers, and that tells you that we have something that is worth fighting for and something that's worth preserving. Well, you know, at the end of the Trump administration, I said I can retire finally because I had failed retirement the first time. And but, you know, not too many weeks after the election, seeing the direction of the country, I realized that I would have no fun at all playing golf or cruising around the world while watching my country go down the tubes.

I mean, this country has been very good to me. You know, my American dream was to be a doctor, and some people would have thought that would be a difficult thing to do from where I came from. But, you know, as a child, I love medicine. Anything about medicine. Dr. Kildare, Dr. Casey, all those stories on television. I even like going to the doctor's office, and I would gladly have a shot just so I could smell the alcohol swabs. It's kind of weird, Dr. Carson.

Our freedoms, our freedom of speech, our freedom to protect ourselves and freedom of association. All of these freedoms are things that people came to this country in search of. We cannot let those go by any stretch of the imagination. And that's why I speak out so vehemently against political correctness and wokeness and all this total crap.

You know, we can talk about what we want to. People fought and died so that we could talk about what we want to, and we could believe what we wanted to believe in. And then the cornerstone of community. You know, we had people who came here from all over the world, different places. We had communities of 100 families, nobody else around for 50 miles, and not only did they survive, but they thrive.

Why? Because they understood the concept of the common good. Sometimes they could barely even speak to each other with different languages, but they understood how to work together. And that was the thing that helped us to to grow so quickly and to become so powerful so quickly as a nation. And then the concept, the cornerstone life from the womb to the tomb.

You have to honor life because it is the most precious thing that God gave us. And there was a time when we cared about everybody's life in the direction of those lives. And we must get back to that place again. We must get away from the hatred and the divisiveness because the fact of the matter is, we, the American people, we are not enemies.

Wayne, we are not enemies. We have to remember that because people are trying to divide us on the basis of race, age, income, gender, political affiliation, religion, you name it. And what has happened in other countries that became socialists or communists?

What did they do first? Divided the people. And they also dumbed down the population.

Isn't that going on in our country right now? They're dumbing down the population. You see these men on the street interviews and they say, who fought in the civil war?

There was a civil war? I mean, they don't know who fought in the civil war. They don't know anything.

And as a result of that, they're very easy to manipulate. You can come to them and you can say, our southern border is completely secure. We have it safe and we have it under control. And they'll say, the government said it was okay.

The government said it was secure. You've got to be pretty stupid. It must hurt to be that stupid. Do you think the dumbing down of America is intentional?

I do believe it is intentional. You know, what's going on in our schools? You know, are we teaching people what they need to know to be effective, successful citizens?

Or are we teaching them things that are absolutely ridiculous? You know, I think about this gender stuff that's going on right now. You know, think about how life begins. You have a male gamut with 23 chromosomes, a female gamut with 23 chromosomes, neither one of which has the ability to become a human being.

They join together. Fertilization occurs. 46 chromosomes, a zygote. It develops very quickly. Within six to eight weeks, there are already little eye buds and earbuds and little fingers and little toes and a heart that is beating.

And it continues growing and developing. Millions of neurons to that brain every single day. Even when it's born, it's still developing that brain.

Millions of neurons. That's why little babies sleep for 20 to 22 hours a day. That brain is developed. It continues to develop until your 20s. So you're not mature until that time. And yet we have people trying to take advantage of the natural curiosity and the flexibility of these children and confuse them.

Doctor, what is your opinion of medical professionals who then treat a 12, 13 or 14 year old with this irreversible cocktail of drugs against even notifying their parents? I'm ashamed of them. I'm ashamed of being the same profession with people who do that. I mean, because they know because their medical training that the brains of those children are not developed, and yet they're going to those children and sometimes tell them to don't tell your parents.

Yes, it's against the law in some states. And whatever happened to science? Science used to be an important part of medicine.

What does science say? You have two X chromosomes. You're a woman. You have an X and a Y.

You're a man. Why is that difficult to understand? And Dr. Carson, can you just elaborate?

Let's go deeper. The institutions, the American Medical Association. I mean, as someone who has is literally one of the most accomplished doctors on the planet.

How should we think about? How do you think about seeing the AMA, which represents 1.3 million medical professionals say the way to treat this is through irreversible surgery and drugs? Well, only 19% of doctors belong to the AMA.

That should tell you something right there. You know, there are a lot of people in the medical community who actually think the right way. But very much like the American population at large, they're afraid to speak up. They're afraid to say something. And this is what the left does.

It intimidates people. And we have to remember, if we want to save America, if we want it to be the land of the free, it has to be the home of the brave. Give a sign off here for our activists of all ages, specifically the students that are facing opposition on campus. Well, I got to tell you, I am so happy to see so many young people who are brave enough to stand up for what they believe in. And you know, you guys are the missionaries. Okay, there's a whole bunch of heathen out there, and you need to go out and you need to speak up. You need to talk about the things that made us into a great nation. Don't be ashamed.

You know, so often people just stand in the corner and stare at their feet and hope no one calls them a nasty name. That won't work anymore because we're on the precipice of what kind of country we're going to be. Are we going to be a country that is up for and by the people or up by and by the government? We have to decide that you have to be the missionaries. You have to go out there and do this. And if you don't do it, we're going to be lost. So we our future is dependent upon each one of you and everybody has a sphere of influence. Don't think because you're not Charlie Kirk. You don't have a sphere of influence.

You do. And it's much bigger than you think it is. And think about Jesus' 12 disciples, 12 people.

And look at how many Christians there are in the world today. We can do this. Dr. Carson, I got one more question, and it's a curveball. If asked, would you serve as Trump's vice president? Vice president. Well, let me put it this way. Right now, our energies need to be focused on getting Trump back in the office.
