The hosts discuss various automotive topics, including electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells, and internal combustion engines, as well as a listener's question about a ticking noise in their Ford Crown Victoria's engine, which may be related to a timing chain tensioner or a sticky lifter.

And we do welcome you back to the CNC Auto Show. I'm your host, Aaron Clements, and we have co-host Jamie Bridges, and we have co-host Charles Davis. And we are talking about everything to do with transportation, and it's primarily cars, but also it's everything. We talked about tanks a little bit and EV cars and just. You name it, we'll talk about it.

Okay, you can watch this show live on facebook.com forward slash CC Auto Show. We're here to answer your automotive questions. Just give us a call, 800-224-9090. That's any Saturday morning, 8 to 10 Eastern Time. And again, that's 800-224-9090.

Jamie, we got a tech tip quiz laying on the table. We ha it's an unanswered tip quiz. Is it? We desperately need an answer to our TECTIP quiz so we can move on to the next one. And if somebody's the winner, of course, they'll win the prize package, the CNC TECTIP quiz prize package.

Here's the question. A US spy casually took something out of his bowling ball bag and used it to unlock a Genesis G V60 electric car and steal a laptop computer out of it containing foreign country information. What did he take out of the bowling bag? The car was not damaged. at all no damage done to the car And he used it to unlock the car.

So, if someone knows the answer to that, they can give us a call and the number 800-224-9090. Give us a call. During the show, I thought it might be a nice thing to talk about. driving in darkness. Of course, the daytime's getting a little shorter.

A lot of times people will be driving to work in darkness. They'll be coming home in darkness in some cases.

So, there's some things that many people can do to prepare for that. And I think it's a good idea. To be prepared for that time of year. And there's some things you wanna do to your vehicle to make sure that it's prepared.

So during the show, We'll discuss that a little bit. And who knows? Maybe some of the listeners may have some tips they may want to share, too. Yeah, absolutely. We'll mix it all in together with other stuff.

But first. We'll talk about something that Ford, a patent that Ford Motor Company has. Taken out. And it and I want Your opinion on if you think this is good, if it's something that would be used.

Now, when I mentioned this, remember, they hadn't used it yet. They have it there because they want to protect their property and their ideas in case they ever do want to use it. Uh but it's a system. That will listen to you talk inside the car, the conversations going on inside the car. And use that to pop up whatever ads that they might want to pop up for you.

And actually, if there's three or four people in the car talking, it'll wait until the conversation, it won't bud into your conversation. It'll wait until somebody's finished talking before it starts talking.

So what do you think, Jamie? I think Ford can go and kick rocks because I don't want the car listening to me and then commenting on my conversation. I mean, it's bad enough. My phone does it. I don't know.

That's just that's not.

Now, do you really think that they do that? They listen? Oh, absolutely. Yeah, that's just, I mean, you know, my husband and I will sit there and we're in the living room. There's nobody else around.

Nobody's got their phone in their hand and we're having a conversation about something. Then all of a sudden, I open my phone and I'm strolling through social media, and there's ads pop up that have never been there before for whatever we were just talking about.

So either it's a heck of a coincidence or. The phone list.

Okay. Oh, I'm with Jamie. You can just you can take that. No, you can take that technology and just stuff it right back in the old Chapter 13 filing cabin. I'm good with it.

I don't I don't well, it also used like if you're using the mapping system and you go to certain places, it'll use that information. to make decisions on What ads that it'll display. And if it knows you're riding past a certain place, it might say, Hey, there's a McDonald's on your right or something.

Well, I mean, they're they're gathering data anyway.

So if if it's It's a way to sell it. Yeah, it's a way to sell it. It's a revenue generation. Yeah, I mean, they're always selling information. It's extra revenue, but.

If they're just pulling it from GPS data, you know, hey, you stop, say McDonald's three times a week, you know, then it'd pop up McDonald's ads or whatever. But not to listen. all the time. The Alexa things in the house are are creepy enough in in a way 'cause they won't respond unless you ask them to. But they're always listening.

Just in case you ask them to. But see and here's funny with that. You know my wife works for the government. Yeah. And she works from home.

We are not allowed to have Any of those devices in our home with her job. Oh.

So if the government says, Okay, no, you can't have this in your house if you're working on our stuff. But everybody else can. They're listening. I could understand that. Yes.

Well, that was my daughters that been asking me for TikTok and I was like, well, what do you why do you need TikTok? I said, the government won't let them have it on personal devices for government jobs. For a reason. I was like, I don't think you need TikTok, especially at thirteen. No.

You know, there's too much going on there to impact. You know, with the laptop computers now, many times people say block the camera. And on your home computer, they say block the camera. How about the camera inside your car? I mean, you're riding down the road and you might be discussing very important things or have certain things in your garage that you don't want people to see, but the cameras are all around the car.

And somebody can have access to all of that. Oh yeah, of course. Video. I think it's a little tougher to crack into cars and say your laptop 'cause they're always moving, you know? Um and and typically not connected to Wi-Fi, but I mean, the potential's there, right?

If it's electronic and it's connected to something, the potential's there to have somebody to get access to something. Yeah, there's a door. From what I understand now, this was the. This was one of the car manufacturers. I don't want to say unless I'm absolutely positive.

But they did have some very. Uh Personal video from things that happened in people's garages and that all of them were laughing about. And it was kind of a joke, and they found out that it was actually extracted from a vehicle that was parked in somebody's garage. Oh, and all this happened, and it was the video was.

Well, like my 2024 downstairs, that's got 360-degree cameras. Yeah. I've got because it can drive itself, it can park itself, it's got to have a camera for all of that. And that's the car you have now. Yeah, that's the one downstairs.

Okay, beautiful. And it's uh I mean, I never thought of Okay, just turn up in the garage and somebody So we have two things laying out there. We have a tech tip quiz laying out on the table that has to do with a person using something in a bowling ball bag to unlock a car. And then we also have a question laid out there. How do you feel about systems inside your car listening to your conversations and using that to display?

Because the good side is it's giving you information that you might want to look at.

So there's good and bad, but it but how does people feel about it? Give us a call 800-224-9090. As soon as we get back, we'll go ahead and give our first driving in darkness tip. We'll be right back. Coolant leaks can be tricky as to cause maybe any number of problems.

K-Sill is a one-step permanent multi-purpose system for coolant leak repair. We recently sat down with Mike Schlupp, Managing Director of K-Sill International. Mike explained what it means to see a puddle under the vehicle. This could be a radiator leak or a split hose causing coolant to leak out of the engine onto the ground underneath. The most important question is whether or not it is actually coolant.

Check the coolant reserve bottle for a match of colour. And if the bottle is low, that's another sign of a coolant leak.

So the solution, if it's a radiator leak, then add K seal, multipurpose, one step coolant leak repair. KCL stops leaks fast in the radiator and all hard parts of the cooling system, getting you back on the road fast. If it's a split hose, then you'll need to get that replaced or maybe try some emergency repair tape. Find more 60-second problem solvers at kseo.com. Don't just seal it.

KCL it. Riding along in my automobile, my baby beside me at the wheel. I stole a kiss at the turn of a mile. Mm-hmm. My curiosity Yeah, yeah.

Cruising and playing the radio We are back with you. If you have a question about your car, truck, SUV, you give us a call. I am Aaron here with co-hosts Jamie Bridges and Charles Davis. And we are transmitting live from a studio located inside an automotive repair shop. And we are talking about everything to do with transportation.

And we promised. That we would give some tips having to do with driving in darkness. I'm going to go ahead and give my first one that I have that I recommend a lot of people do. It gets overlooked all the time. It's something.

that will cost you almost zero dollars to do. And it will help you be able to drive in darkness. much better than before on on most many, many, many cars. What happens is we always go to the car wash and we run it through the car wash. We do a great job.

The car is beautiful, even the windshield is clean. On the outside, but it's not clean on the inside. Windshields build up a film on the inside, and you don't really notice it in the daytime. And you don't really know it's there at night unless you take your finger. and you wipe across there inside and you say, wow.

I can see through that little bitty place. Yeah, so it's just like a haze. Yeah, it's like a haze. And just get some good window cleaner and spray it in there and wipe it down. I like to use a little fiber rag.

Microfiber? Yeah, microfiber rag. Thank you. I need that. I need that.

But I like to wipe it down and go ahead and get it in all the corners and everywhere. Down near the dash and get it all off of there, you would be surprised at how much helpful that would be in driving at night. If you're uh if you're cleaning your windows, uh stay away from wind decks with ammonia in it or any kind of glass cleaner with ammonia. It'll Discolor and peel your tints off over time. Yeah.

I've got one. It's another free one. Another free one. At dusk. Before you drive, just turn your lights on and walk around your car.

Make sure that they're all working. Make sure you don't have any bulbs out. Make sure your headlights are on. That way, at least everybody can see you it. Yeah, then you don't have a headlight.

Yep. Plus, this time of year, it can be a downpour at any time. And you might be riding down the road and boom, you have real heavy, heavy rain, and a light that's out or something not functioning properly may give a car behind you or somebody at a different intersection mixed signals and you may cause an accident.

So doing that can be very, very helpful.

Alright, Jamie, your turn. Come on. I mean, light bulbs dim over time.

So, you know, just. you're out walking around your car, you know, Check the color of them, see how bright they are. Yeah. And uh, if need be, replace them. Yeah, and I'll go ahead and throw this one out there.

I was going to mention it a little bit later, but sometimes you might look at your headlights, they look kind of dim, and they get that haze over the headlights. It used to be you'd have to replace the whole headlight, but the headlight restoration has been very, very good. I mean, it's. It runs a fraction of the cost of what new headlight assemblies are and it uh really makes them look good. We get no complaints on it and it's just a good it makes the car look better too.

Yeah, my husband went online and he ordered a a f headlight assembly for for Actually, uh all three of our vehicles And he, you know, installed them. And a year goes by, and these things were really inexpensive, and they look good, and they're still watertight. But the c whatever clear they put on the headlights is Started appeal just a little bit in a couple different spots.

So. I mean, you you could replace them relatively inexpensively. But you need to watch a YouTube video and see how hard it is going to be to get those light assemblies out before you uh dedicate all that time. To do in that because sometimes it's pretty invasive. All repairs are not created equal.

They are not. Exactly.

Okay, I'll throw the tick-tip quiz out on the table. U.S. FY dressed casually took something out of his bowling ball bag and used it to unlock a Genesis. G V sixty electric car and he stole the laptop out of the inside, closed the door back, and really you couldn't even tell anybody had been inside the car. Nothing was broken, no damage to the car, nothing.

He just unlocked the car. from something that he had in the bowling bag. Took him like a a minute to do it. Took it out, boom, opened the door, got the laptop. And on his way.

So, if anybody knows the answer to that, give us a call. And we'll go to the calls next. Let's see here what we got.

Okay, coming up. Here we go. Here we go. It's trying, it's just the spinning. Yeah.

We uh the uh the phone system has issues Once again, And okay.

Well, it's sprinkling a little bit of rain outside. Maybe that's enough to kick it aside. While they're working on that to get that coming, we'll mention our next item that we have here. It seems that now Vavo is backing down from 2030 all EV. Uh commitment.

Uh for and they're going for the hybrid approach also. Of course, you kind of add that to the list of the others, like Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin. All of those are scaling back their electric vehicle plans, and most of them are going a little bit more toward the EV. There's one manufacturer kind of going in a different direction, which we'll talk about that a little bit later. But first, let's grab Well, your phone is messing up again.

Okay, we'll uh We we have a terrible time with phone calls. That's one of the drawbacks that when you're uh transmitting out of a studio and it's going from one place and another and then bouncing the other and the telephone calls can uh have some issues there.

So we run into that many times before, so we won't worry about it a whole lot. But Let's do mention that, that the um what are your thoughts on The them scaling back on the E V cars. Just full-blown Eevee. Yeah. Uh good.

I mean, it just it. In concept. It's a phenomenal idea. You know, if we can get the battery technology. Right.

That's the problem with these things right now. And I've you know, from the get-go, we should have pushed hybrid. More so than just full-blown EV. Because if you run out of charge somewhere, you're in a bad area, there's a power outage, whatever, whatever, you can still get in your hybrid if there's an emergency and leave. But if your Tesla dies or, you know, whatever EV you have, Then you're screwed.

I mean, you can't do anything. Yeah, let's cover that just a little bit more.

So, to return with more of the CNC Auto Show. I must make amends. Worked hard all my lifetime. No help from my friends.

So, Lord. Won't you buy me a Mercedes bins? And welcome back to the CNC Auto Show. We are here talking about everything to do with transportation. We've talked a little bit about driving in darkness, we've talked about EV cars.

We've talked about alternatives to EV cars, hybrids, and a lot of other things. And we have a lot of stuff laying on the table. We also do have a tech tip quiz laying on the table that we desperately need an answer to.

So, hoping somebody will call in and answer that question. And we also have a phone call here.

So, how about if we just go to the calls and we'll let this person join in with our conversation that we're having? Yeah, I love it. Yeah, let's do it.

Alright, here we go. Hello, Ron. Welcome to the CMC Auto Show. Thank you very much. Yes, I'd like to.

give my opinion about E V's. We would love all this. Um There's a lot of negativism going on about E V's now. But I I would say over 90% of it. is from people that just don't like them.

They don't know anything about them or anything else. If you talk to people that have them, I would say over ninety five percent of those people love them. I've le uh read a lot of reviews on them. And the people say they're the best vehicle they've ever had. But The biggest thing, of course, everybody says You can't go far.

Now In my opinion, Um People should have a choice. People that love EVs can buy one. If they don't, they don't have to buy it. Um I know some companies are scaling back now because they overproduced But They're still brand new even though Yeah. Yeah.

Cadillac is coming out with one next month. call the optic. They already have the lyric. And people that have the lyrics love them. Um But the distance is the main thing with E Vs.

But for my personal use, I'm not concerned about that. If um Hopefully, I'll be getting one in the near future. And I'll be charging it at home. very cheap to charge it back up. Um overnight during non-peak hours.

Um And and they hold up very well. They have a lot of technology on them. They drive good. They're smooth, quiet. and just uh Relaxing.

But That's my opinion about 'em. But the people complaining, like I say, are the people that Haidum. Ron, I'm on part of that.

Now, it sounds like you've done some research that I may have not have. had access to the part about 90% of the people liking them. A lot of the people that I know, especially friends of mine that live in the Atlanta area. Uh they were writing me messages uh that they were having really tough times with them. One one friend of mine sent me a message of his brand new car.

Uh, sitting in a Walmart at night trying to charge it up, and the thing said like six hours. And he was really having a rough time because he liked to travel with it.

So that part of it, I'm going to put 90% of the people that are a little optimistic on that part. I think it's a much lower number. Than that. Oh.

Yeah. Some cars may take longer to charge. But the new the new GM cars, most of them, in twenty minutes put a seventy mile range charge on them. Oh I've already read that in several Oh. There it goes.

And see, that wouldn't fit in my lifestyle. I mean, because when, for instance, I went to North Georgia over the weekend. I left here. And I got a little diesel canyon truck and I drove, what is it, two or three hundred miles, whatever it was, I don't forgot. But I went there, Canton, Georgia, and visited a nice car museum that I'll be talking about soon.

But there's a lot of people that what you're talking about, 70 miles, would fit into their lifestyle. It don't match me at all. And so. I think that you are right in the way to where I think everybody should have their choice. If they want an electric car, I think that they should be able to get it.

Now, here's one thing I'm a little concerned about, also, though. is I think so many things to do with E V vehicles is subsidized right now. And I think that even some charging stations, if you're out on the road, and I think that once a lot of people get this, the Uh the people are going to want to profit for that and the subsidies are going to go away. And then I think there's a possibility you may pull into a gas station and it be an electric vehicle station instead. And you're still going to end up paying about the same thing you would if you were to fill up a tank with gas.

The only difference is you'll be sitting there for a little longer period of time. I I really think that we're That slowing down a little bit on the EVs is a good move. There's no doubt that one day that it is going to be. An excellent move, but I also, my thought on it. We have a lot more Gains that we can make with ICE engines.

We are making such headway to where, I mean, the truck I got gets 30 miles to the gallon on the road. With diesel fuel.

So there's a lot, and that's, and we're still making headway on things that we can do.

So. I think that giving people the choice and letting the technology rise up and using it all, I don't think we should use solar only depend on solar power, wind power, because you got hurricanes. What's an ice storm going to do to solar panels? I'm waiting to see that. Yeah, no, I mean, it's like anything else.

You can't put all your eggs in one basket. I mean, We need to use it all every everything available we need to and we need to be raising kids right now you got you got kids that are sitting there with video games these kids there's one in another country let me see if I can find that real quick we got a gentleman we got and this is in another country a 17 year old boy in another part of the world is building a nuclear fusion reactor as a school project oh my god that's what we ought to be teaching our kids right now they should be they should be doing things like that in this country building things like that now because We should be, I mean, who knows? I mean, if we if we give the right education to a lot of these kids, we might be able to make fuel out of pine trees and Georgia would do great. We would be a new Saudi Arabia. Yeah, it would be great.

But, Ron, your perspective is real good. It is. I agree with a lot. Yeah. But I also love the part where the choice.

Was the main word that I liked that you said? Yeah. And now The The E V s that will make it in the long run by the vast majority of people that want one would be A A round town E V limited range of two hundred and thirty, two hundred and fifty miles. Oh.

and less than thirty thousand dollars when the company comes out with that, That's the ones that'll make it. companies like Rivion And Lowe said their vehicles start At about $72,000. And I just don't think they'll make it in the long run. No, not that much for a beat. The price will come down as better batteries are built.

Now, Ron, we got less than a minute.

So I want you to real quick. Any idea on our tech tip quiz? Uh uh Honest with you, I didn't get to hear it. All right, somebody had a bowling bag, something inside a bowling bag, and they used it to unlock. a uh a Genesis vehicle, electric vehicle.

It was inside a bowling bag. He took it out, unlocked the car, stole something out of it, and It locked back. Thirty seconds, Ron. I have no idea. No pressure, though.

No pressure. No pressure at all.

Okay. All right. Hey, hold on. Thank you anyway. All right.

Hold up one second. Let me give you something for you guys. Hey, Ron, man, we'd love for you to call, and we appreciate it. Thank you. Talk to you soon.

Okay. Hey. Always good to hear from Ron. And the number to call 800-224-9090. We'll be right back with more of the CNC Auto Show.

Uh The CNC Auto Show is brought to you by Blaster Products. They know rust. They know how to stop rust with PB Blaster, even how to prevent it from ever happening in the first place with Blaster Surface Shield. Get to know Blaster Products and work it like a pro. I found one who don't wake up.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And we are back with you with the CNC Auto Show. If you have a car question or comment, dial 800.

224-90-90. That's on any Saturday morning between 8 and 10. You can also watch this show live on Facebook.com forward slash CC Auto Show. And we have had a very interesting discussion going on today. A lot of it has to do with the EV cars as opposed to hybrids, as opposed to.

Gas engines, diesel engines, a lot of things going on in that world right now. And I think we all agree, though, that people need a choice. They don't need to. Stop producing any one of those. No, not at all.

And as a matter of fact, I would say have a big contest to see who can. Uh, make the most miles less amount of money, but that's the idea of you know, a free market, right? Yeah, let the best prevail. That's the way it's supposed to be. That is, that's the way it's supposed to be.

Okay, here we go. Ready to go to the cost? Yeah, let's see who we got here. Looks like we got a Person named Ed. Ed, welcome to the CNC Auto Show.

What can we help you with? Morning, Aaron. Hey, I'd like to go ahead and try and answer that tech tip quiz. Woo! You don't know how bad we need that.

We are so thankful that you call in because we need somebody to answer this. Hold on, let me get you up there. Mm-hmm. Okay, you're on stage.

Now let's read this question so we'll know what we're working with here. A U.S. spy dressed casually. took something out of his bowling ball bag Used it to unlock a Genesis G V60 electric car. Steal a laptop computer out of it, which contained top secret information from a foreign country.

But the main thing is he just stole it out of there. What did he take out of the bowling bag? And remember, the car was not damaged in any way. I mean, you couldn't even tell he had been in there when he got.

Okay, Ed, everybody's looking at you to answer today's tech tip quiz because we really need an answer. Yeah. Well, Aaron, I I believe he walked up to the car and he reached into his bowling bag. And he pulled out An iPhone. And he took the iPhone that had an app on it, He held it next to the uh door.

Activated the amp on or the app on the iPhone, which unlocked the GV60, which allowed him to access it and steal that laptop. And then he took the app and relocked it and walked away happy as a clam. Mm. You know, that is that's hold on. Let me go ahead and get this part out of the way because I kind of hate doing it, but.

Uh uh I really don't have a choice. It's my job, man. But, you know, I really don't know for sure if this one has the iPhone app. But one thing I know for sure is that's not the answer. Uh but I tell you what, I'm I'm o after we hang up I'm going to give a hint.

And it And then you are welcome to call back if you get it after that.

Sound good? Very good. Very good, Aaron. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Okay, the number of the call 800-224-9090. And I'm gonna go ahead and throw it. Do y'all mind if I throw this little hint out before I get it? Yeah, you have to give a hint because then it seems that this particular vehicle, this Genesis GV60 electric car. It uses facial recognition to be able to open.

The door. Oh.

So, all right. That's the hint. That's it. That's the one that's laying out on the table.

So, if somebody knows the answer to that, give us a call 800-224-9090.

Okay, now we were. I'm going to go ahead and mention an email that we got because we want to. Wanted to do better. I've been doing pretty good at calling people. I missed one this week, but when they send a message, I've been calling back, answering it, but I did miss one.

But here's one of the ones we receive. Susan asked what she should do to get ready for fall driving. Susan said that she does not see very well at night. And I called Susan, mentioned that at her next oil exchange, she should make sure that. We do a good vehicle inspection.

And to see better at night, I recommend cleaning the windshield. We talked about that a little bit. I recommend wiper blades also. Check the wiper blades and replace the wiper blades if needed. And of course, I love the peak.

Uh, wiper blades. I mean, they are op uh optics, I believe. They are awesome wiper blades. I know that uh. They're some of the best that I've seen.

And if the lights are not bright enough, make sure the lens is clean. And we talked about that a little bit. The headlight restoration has come a long way from where it used to be. And then, of course, if the headlights are still not bright enough, after everything's cleaned, of course, you can get brighter headlights for cars. And these are made by Peak also.

They're the Peak Power Vision lights, and they're available in brighter and whiter lights. I kind of like a white light for my vehicle, too. Many bulbs are more of a yellowish tint. And a lot of the factory bulbs don't really have that really bright white light. But I like that.

And of course, power vision by peak, you can get them in different intensities and. Just a lot to choose from there. Is it worth pointing out that most of this stuff is available at Autozone or autozoke. Your part stores, it's absolutely available. Most most all the major part stores carry the peak products because they and not to mention their coolant is awesome.

Okay, you ready to go to the calls? Yeah. All right, let's go. Over two. Joe.

And Joe, welcome to the CNC Auto Show. And what can we help you with? I was just going to try to take a stab at the tech tip quiz. Oh, my goodness. We need you here, man.

Come on, Joe. I'm brutal. Yeah, let's all pull for Joe. I'm pulling for Joe. All right.

One, two, three. Go, Joe. Go, Joe. All right, here we go. We're going to put you on stage.

We're going to read the question. A U.S. spy dressed casually took something out of his bowling bag and used it to unlock a Genesis GV60 electric car. He stole the laptop computer out of it. Closed the door back.

Nothing was damaged. You couldn't even tell he had been inside there, except the laptop was gone. Joe, everybody's looking at you to answer this tech tip quiz. What is the answer?

Now I'm nervous. Oh, no. Anyway, um Joe, we're pulling for you, man. Come on. I think this individual saw who was driving the vehicle and was able to use his device to recreate the facial image by taking a picture of the person or something like that.

And use that technology against the car, basically.

Well, a pitcher wouldn't work because, see, these things actually have. Take measurements of the distance of a person so.

Now old technology, you may have been able to use it just a picture, but new technology you actually it it measures depth uh facial depth in different areas also.

So just a picture wouldn't work.

So what else might have worked? Come on, Joe. Work with me, Joe. Work with me. A what now?

Uh I think it's a a top secret spa device. Oh, Joe, come on, man. Work with me. Work with me, Joe. Yeah, it would fit inside a bowling ball, Joe.

We got about 30 seconds now. It would fit in a bowling bag, bowling ball bag. About the size of a bowling ball. It's about the size of a bowling bottle? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Come on. Let's go, Joe. Size of a bowling ball, fits in a bowling bag, and it would make the uh it would use facial recognition. Oh, Johnny. That has the facial image on the person.

Oh, okay, y'all. I'm gonna do this real quick. You gotta. This is where we were pulling for Joe. He pulled the 3D bust out of the driver's head, out of the driver's head, out of the bowling ball bag, and held it up to the car's side pillow.

This car uses facial recognition to unlock the door. The door unlocked. He stole the laptop. A picture would not work because it needs 3D and you would have had to use a fingerprint to start the car. Joe, thank you.

Hold on. And we'll be back with a second hour of the CNC Auto Show very shortly. The CNC Auto Show is brought to you in part by K-Sill Ultimate. Tackle the most stubborn cooling system leaks with K-Sill Ultimate featuring 33% more sealing power than original K-Seal. K-Seal Ultimate is now available at Walmart.

And remember, don't just seal it. Hey, seal it. And we do welcome you back to the CNC Auto Show. I'll be your host, Aaron Clemis, and we have co-host Jamie Bridges, and we have co-host Charles Davis. And we are talking about everything to do with transportation, and it's primarily cars, but also it's everything.

We talked about tanks a little bit, EV cars, and just you name it, we talk about it. As long as it's transportation-related. Oh, no, we've talked about airplanes, too. Yeah, airplanes. I guess airplanes do have wheels.

Yeah, yeah. We talk about helicopters. Yeah. They got skids, right? Yeah.

But pretty much you name it. Yeah, if you can write it in and go. Yeah, if it's transportation, we'll make it work. We'll fit it in there somewhere. You can also watch the show at facebook.com forward slash CC Auto Show.

And we're here to answer your car questions or we love to hear your comments.

So we like those also. That's. That's very interesting, very helpful. Just give us a call: 800-224-9090. That's Saturday mornings, 8 to 10 Eastern Time.

And again, 800-224-9090. How about if we go straight on to the calls this segment? Let's do it. Let's do that. Yeah, we're doing it.

We got this. Let's go talk to Ron. And hello, Ron. Welcome to the CNC Auto Show. Hey guys, good morning.

Look, you were mentioning about the white, bright lights that you prefer. Yes.

For some reason, those people that buy these pickup trucks for $80,000 and then jack them up to where you need a ladder to get into them. They seem to have a developmental flaw, you know, I guess it's since childhood, that they don't care about other people. And this one particular truck last night had four sets of lights from the hood to the cowling. And he had them all on, and they were all on bright. I thought I could even get a glimpse of the space shuttle when he had them on.

I have seen that before. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. That these people I mean, for older people like myself, it blinds you. You cannot see nothing.

And I I agree that the the bright white lights are great. What You the main purpose is to light up the roadway. I don't need to know what's going on downtown Augusta from Appling. These things are so ridiculously bright. That it hurts the eye.

The municipalities are at fault too. They they don't shield any of their lights in these uh parking lots and uh businesses. And you you especially on a rainy night And this glare is coming from these bright lights, and it just blinds you. instead of hooding them and allowing the light to go down to the ground, And to where you're not blinded by these lights, it's not a great expense. Yeah.

One time, Ron, the other day, I was topped a hill and I thought I was going to hit head-on into a 747 gym. I think it was big time bright, like you mentioned on there.

Well, I think Ron brings up a good point.

Well, I mean, if you have HIDs or projectors or LEDs and then LEDs are the thing now, right?

So, like my new car we were talking about earlier, it's got LED headlights. Great for me. Yeah. Not great for everybody else because I hate them coming the other direction. Uh-huh.

Well, absolutely. I mean, it you know, it scares the wildlife. They're running out into the roadway, causing accidents. There's so many things that can go wrong with this, and yet there's nobody that that seems to want to Do any kind of legislation action, and of course, this goes on and on, and nothing ever gets done about it.

Well, Rod, but that's what this is about.

Something. Uh-huh.

I'm sorry, what was that egg? I said that's what the show is all about, Ron. It gives you a chance to vent. It does. And you gotta let us know.

Do you feel better? Because you were able to vent and get all that out, right? Oh, my blood pressure's gone b down ten points already. We're saving lives. Until he has to drive at night again.

You're saving lives. Look, you know, you're talking about things that you could put in your car to help you at night. Uh huh. I've seen mu the people that I know of my age group They're all wearing glasses and they don't ever clean them. Uh-huh.

Go down to the convenience store or someplace and buy a box of those lens wipers. And have them in your car and clean your lenses once in a while with your glasses. And for a lot of us that are suffering through this depression, Uh they don't have air conditioning in the car. Maybe they don't have a heater in the car. Right, I'm hoping all your friends are not listening.

Told all your friends I got dirty glasses? Let's say this rise to the point. Yeah. My friends that know me, they they accept me as I am. But you know, just to be able to take a clean cloth and wipe your windshield, especially like you mentioned earlier, about the inside of the windshield.

It gets so funky if you don't change that cabin air filter. I mean, good tips. It is a good tip. Yeah, good tip. Look, guys, I've been in enough.

My blood pressure is under control again. Y'all have done y'all's duty, and I really appreciate it. Ron, that's why we're here. We love you, man. Yeah.

Take care, Ron. Enjoy the lower blood pressure. All right, you too. All right. Number to call: 800-224-90-90.

And Ron feels better. That's good. All right. What's one of the main things that bugged you the most on driving? Charles, you go first.

It's probably the glare coming the other way. Glare from headlights, Jamie?

Well, coming towards you is bad, but them being behind you is lights. It could be anything to do with driving. I mean, anything. I'll tell you mine. Yeah.

That's that person at the shopping center. I mean, the shopping center has got a lot of cars in it. Yeah. All right. So everybody's kind of going through the line.

You're looking for a parking place. The person sits there in the middle of the lane. The person is just starting to push their groceries out. And so you gotta wait for them that car. Three ahead to take all the groceries out, put it in their car, get inside the car, and then they, and then they put it in reverse and still wait in that car.

They're doing that. They can't. They're saving. Uh uh uh what, about fifty steps? And I don't mind telling you, sometimes you notice that they could use a little walk anyway.

So you, you.

Well, either. This just happened to me. This just happened to me. I won't say the name: gigantic wholesale warehouse store. But.

You don't need to block the whole road. Exactly.

You don't. The lady literally skipped two spaces to go to one closer. And we're talking the distance of two cars.

So 16 feet? You saved 16 feet and blocked nine people from getting in.

Now you feel better, Charles. A little. Yeah, I do, actually. Jamie, get it off your chest. Come on, get it.

Let's do it. So earlier this week I had to use a parking deck downtown. Yeah. So I'm going through and this thing has got five floors and I'm going up level one, level two, level three. They finally started to be spaces that opened up.

But I couldn't fit in them because people had double-parked. Oh, double-parked. Between the spaces. In the parking deck, so I had to go all the way to the top floor of the parking deck. And let my car roast in the sun when I thought I was gonna park it in the shade.

Yeah, yeah. And then take the elevator down. But if they had parked.

Now sometimes if you got like this Corvette with a special paint job, you could kinda see somebody kind of angling around, not wanting somebody to park next to 'em. And you know, I I kinda let that go. But I mean, you see a a a Honda Civic That really it it don't need anything that special. It's kind of small. It would fit in the in the space perfect.

Nobody's gonna open the doors on it. Taking up two parking places. That doesn't make any sense. You know, this to d to that point. I will make this one.

Now when I had my zeal won Camaro, It was black. I did not want to park next to anyone. Yeah. So I would go in the North 40. I take my hike.

I'm cool with that. I will park in the back and just leave me alone. And nine times out of ten. the most busted car Would just park next to you. Still parked next to you, way out there.

Empty parking lot. Just and just park next to me for no reason. Don't do it anymore.

Now we all feel better. I do. We'll go back to tips as soon as we return with more of the CNC Auto Show. The CNC Auto Show is brought to you by Dorman Products, offering hundreds of different coolant, windshield washer fluid and power steering fluid reservoirs for hundreds of millions of vehicles in operation today. Drive to DormanProducts.com for more information.

I was losing in my staying very late one night. That's an evil Pulled up on the ride, and roll down the window up. And shiny new jacks and challenges. I said you're on, but if I'm running fine Let's come off the line now. It's a good time.

And we are back with you with the CC Auto Show. I'm Aaron Clemens here with co-hosts Jamie Bridges and Charles Davis. We're transmitting live from a studio located inside an automotive repair facility. And we are here to talk about cars or anything to do with transportation. And we're also here to answer your automotive questions.

You give us a call 800-224-9090. And that's on any Saturday morning, 8 to 10. And again, 800-224-9090. You can watch the show live on facebook.com forward slash CCAuto. Show and let's see here.

What would you two think if I was to lay a tech tip quiz out on the table? Oh, you got another one. A new one. Yeah. A new one.

Brand new one. And of course, with this, the winner will receive a prize package. Worth, well, we can't say how much it's worth because then, because if we put a price on it, Then you would have to pay the taxes and all if you won. I'll say this: it's worth enough that I'm jealous. Yeah.

There's two people that have won since they've been on the show, and I'm jealous. Yeah. You'd have to have a form and put down that you got that amount, and you'd have to pay so much in taxes, so we won't do that.

Okay. Instead, we'll just read the tech tip quiz. I stop by the gas station almost every morning, get a cup of coffee, and run out without paying the clerk. I've been doing it for many months, but they never say a word. How do I get away with it?

So if you know the answer. Give us a call 800-224-9090, and you could be the winner of today's Tech Tip Quiz.

Okay, let's see. Let's see what we got going on here. Here's one thing that's... That we're This in the news. BMW is shifting its focus to hydrogen.

fuel cell vehicles, considering them a significant player in the future of automobile transportation. 100% agree. Yeah, we have a great listener, and maybe he's listening. Maybe he can get a chance to call in, but he's big-time pro-hydrogen. Yeah, Richard is his name.

And he calls the show from time to time and he loves hydrogen fuel sales. He works in that industry, if I'm not mistaken.

So But it seems that while electric EVs have been the primary focus for zero emission, Car manufacturers, hydrogen vehicles utilizing fuel cells emitting only water vapor are gaining attention for their sustainability.

So that is um something coming true that one of our callers had mentioned. In the past. And it says here, BMW says goodbye to EVs aims to deliver hydrogen powered cars by 2025. You know what the the real biggest problem with all the the E Vs and the The hybrid stuff, hydrogen fuel cells and CNG and all these other alternatives, anything that's not just a standard gasoline or diesel. Engine is that Who's going to work on these things?

So we need to invest more into our technicians and future technicians. Moving forward, so when your ED breaks down somewhere, there's somebody that can work on the thing. To that, right there, I would say. As soon as the industry decides what direction we're going to go, I think technicians will start investing. In themselves.

But right now it's so up in the air. I mean, as if I was a young technician, where do you put your money? You'd have to, because that's still the primary motor training. Yeah. Younger younger guys coming up, where do you where do you put it?

I mean Well, what's E B's? That was You know, the last eight years, five years. That was that was the direction.

Well, maybe not maybe it's not the direction. It's not a useless skill by any means, but If you're going longevity, if this is something you're going to do for Gotta start. Looking that way.

Well, I do think internal combustion engines are going to be around for a long, long time. Yeah, no. And think about the progress that's been made on internal combustion engines over the last, let's say, 40 years. They've come so far. I mean, all the way from, I mean, you figure back in the 70s when they were just, I mean, terrible emissions coming out, catalytic converters coming out, I'm going to say roughly 75, 76, 77.

Then you move into, I think, the first computer control vehicle. Domestic vehicle was 80 and a half General Motors. I think there were some Chryslers doing some computer stuff before that, but as a general rule in General Motors, it was 80 and a half.

So then that was our darkest moment in the automotive world, roughly, I think, was the early 80s to about the early 90s. That was a dark time for automotive because they were kind of half mechanical, half computers. And it was a pretty dark time for us. But now they have come so far. I mean, the domestic cars can compete with any.

Foreign-made car out there. I mean, because they're just beautiful vehicles that we're building now. And and it continues to improve. And I don't think we ought to stop that improvement that we're making with gas engines. I think we ought to continue doing what we're doing with EV and continue what we're doing with hydrogen and all the other systems that we have there.

But the thing is, we should. Definitely continue. Research development in in gas engine well, internal combustion engines, I'll say.

Well, and uh at SEMA lad this last year, I I think Speaking to the hydrogen point. I think there's going to be a point when the ice engine and the hydrogen technology are gonna meet. They're already doing it. Uncompressed hydrogen. Yeah.

So I mean really if you're gonna look forward Aaron's 100% correct. The ice engine is not going away. Not any No. Not in our lifetime anyway. But I could see where if they keep development and keep Pushing this kind of Direction forward.

Where we can merge the two. We're we're ice engines and full fuel cell cars. And I live happily ever after together, running the same The only way that it could go away if it's pushed away. In other words, if it's mandated, that it's not, and that would be the biggest mistake that we could ever make as a country big time, in my opinion. All eyes are watching California.

Yeah, that would be a terrible, terrible thing, in my opinion, to do away with even researching, continuing to research better and better. Internal combustion engines. It needs to continue research there along with all of the other systems. Yeah, and that's and that's. That's kind of the beauty of the hybrid and I guess that the I But if I was going to go that direction, that's probably where I would lean to because you still have the safety and security that you're used to.

Yeah. But you are kinda doing your part to reduce Missions in kind of Make things a little better for everybody.

So. I I think You're gonna go buy a Ford Maverick. Is that where you're going with this? No, I don't want to do it. Don't do it, Charles.

Don't. It's your company. Everybody will make fun of you, man. No, they would, because you don't want to do it. It's not a truck.

And I drive trucks. They'll put flowers on the hood and all that other stuff. They will, huh? That'll be kind of bad. I couldn't be that.

Hey, we'll be right back with more of the CNC Auto Show. The CNC Auto Show is brought to you by Peak Original Equipment Technology Coolants, specifically designed to match the technology and color requirements of your specific vehicle. Drive to peakauto.com for more information. Day, yeah. Life is a highway.

I wanna ride it all night long. If you're going my way, I wanna drive it. And we are back with you with the CNC Auto Show. If you got car questions or comments, dial 800-224-9090. That's on any Saturday morning between 8 and 10 Eastern Time.

And you can also watch the show live at facebook.com forward slash CC Auto Show, or you can watch it on YouTube, either one, whatever's good. We had a long discussion during the break, and This was about a gentleman named Matt, and it seems that Matt had a um He you got to picture this scenario now. We the this this is two people that work in the trucking industry. I'm talking about large, very large trucks. Yeah.

And this man here uh goes out and buys a Maverick And the big discussion is, is a Maverick really a truck? I mean, is it? I think that they give Matt a little bit of a hard time. On whether it's a truck or not. And there's been flowers left on his car, if I'm not mistaken.

And it's been kind of rough on him. But Matt's taking it good from what I understand. He's really. He's a good guy, but I'd like to weigh in on this. And no, the Maverick is not a truck.

Yeah, that's what they're saying. It's not a truck. Uh Matt, I I the the discussion was That you're you're a fantastic person, but Yep. You're not driving a truck, Bob. True.

He's a great guy. Love him to death. Yeah, great guy. Everybody loves him, but he's not driving a truck. Oh, Google says it's a truck.

Yeah. Well, and everything on the internet's real, isn't it? All right. You ready to go to talk? Let's talk.

All right, here we go. Sorry about that, Matt. All right. Yeah. Okay, here we go.

We got James and Akin. Hello, James. Welcome to the show. Good morning to the church. Yeah.

And I've got a Possible wrong answer to a tech tip. Where isn't heavy? question about a condition I haven't been able to do it. up next to yet on a friend's car, but it's been described to me and think I know what it might be and take some input on that until I learn more. I'll take an interim set of advice from the tribunal there.

Absolutely. Which one do you want to do first, James? Let's talk about the cars. We are ready. It's two thousand.

Crown Victoria four point six liter V eight, About 230,000 miles on it, and the fellow who's driving it called me yesterday. and said he's got a ticking in the engine. And I did my best to do what you three would do, and that is grab as much information as I can, find out what s situations it happens under, and try to isolate some things away.

So What I learned is that it is specifically tied to engine RPMs, So the faster the engine goes, the faster the tick is. It is intermittent. And it's a It's here today. It might not be here tomorrow. It could happen while he's driving.

Go turn the car off, turn it back on. It doesn't happen again. And He's checked the oil throughout the period of time. He's never been more than a quart low on engine oil, and it doesn't matter how much is in it, it does it.

So it sounds to me like we've got what some refer to as a sticky lifter or one that's failing to populate with oil pressure.

So you're getting a a valve train tap So If it's I'll take any other possibilities to look for. Oh, and by the way, I am. Good uh uh give to a friend of his, a family member of his, my Mechanics step.

So he can go. and listen to some of the accessory pieces to see if anything is going on with the Belt train line, water pump, alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, idler pulleys, all that stuff to see if it's not on the outside of the engine. But I don't think so. But um So What's your thoughts about if it's a sticky lifter? Yeah.

Non this. assembly feet uh actions we could take. And also, what else should I look for besides that as a possible cause?

Well, on a lot of cars, when somebody asks that question, they say they're hearing a noise and they describe a lifter. Many, many times I'll ask when the last time the oil was changed.

Now, this is some cars that pull in, like a new customer, and they'll say, hey, I've got a ticking noise. And it is unbelievable the number of times people say, well, I don't know. And you go look and start doing some research and you find out they got eight, nine, 10,000 miles on the oil.

Now, if somebody's got 230,000 miles on their car, that's not going to be the case because you don't get that many miles on a car unless you have been on a good regular oil change interval.

So I'm going to skip that part of it on asking how long it's been on the oil change. But anybody who's got that noise, remember that that's one of the first things that I ask, and crazy numbers of people have forgotten to do their oil change.

So Definitely put that first on the list.

So, now the second thing, there have been some things that people have done as far as. Helping lifters, and that's a product. If I'm not mistaken, BG has this product. And you pour it in the oil. And it thins out the oil real thin and it makes it and it's got a detergent in there that kind of washes out trash because that's what happens inside a lifter.

It can get a little piece of dirt stuck in the lifter and it makes it to where the oil pushes out of it and it don't hold pressure on there.

So you may consider Running some of that and doing that procedure.

Now the oil has to be changed right after that. I think you drive it for a certain amount of time, then you change the oil, and many times that'll get out.

Now, if it's not that, I'm not sure, and it does turn out to be an internal lifter. I don't think I would go. Much further as far as spending money on it. I would actually live with the problem until it got much worse because you wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on an engine that had 230,000 miles on it.

Well, being an O three, it's probably a two-valve four six, I'd imagine.

So that's first generation cam phaser. Yeah. There's always an option. Cam Phaser's great. Especially on that first generation.

And that being said, you know, it's it's it's not a push rod motor, right? Overhead cam, so you're dealing with POX, not hydraulic lifters.

So those will get spots. Time, heat spots. Yeah. And depending on engine RPM Temperature. You know Expansion and contraction can really determine whether or not you're going to get a tap it.

Or is it going to be quiet? Yeah. And that's. But at the same token, Aaron's right, at 230,000 miles of BG plus would probably help it out a lot in a good oil.

Now, there is one other little option that you brought when you were talking that popped into my head. Uh it The time and chain tensioner. Yeah, the guy tensioner. That, if I'm not mistaken, that's located on top of the motor on that model, and it can be replaced. And they did have problems with those on that engine.

So, yes.

So, Jim, I'm going to say. A lifter is a possibility, but that tensioner Uh, is a possibility also, and it works through oil pressure, also. Uh, same as can phasers. If it's that, then I would recommend just replacing it because it just bolts onto the top of the engine. That's super easy.

Okay, he hasn't gone buck wild and changed oil viscosity. Getting crazy, oil viscosity, or he all of a sudden decided to go from conventional oil to synthetic that he's never ran before. That could cause him problems, too.

Okay, a couple of things. Listen to what you're saying. using the the 5W20 Motocraft synthetic blend at the car. Recommends oil change intervals every 4,000 miles. Nothing wrong with that.

So I think we're doing okay there. But just on the two things you've mentioned, What is the name of the BG product that you're thinking? Mm-hmm. Engine restore, I believe. Yeah.

I engine restore. I'm almost positive.

Okay, I'll look for that. And it's followed by an oil change after whatever the can says, two minutes, an hour, whatever.

Okay, and then the timing chain tensioners, you say, are on top of the engine. Does that require removal of your Uh Your intake or anything like that, or is it no most of your front accessories, and then it's just gonna be the top timing covers on the on the two valve there? That four six. Mm-hmm. So you just remove the top half of the timing covers on either side and then you can you'll you Gonna be right there.

Yeah. Yeah, I don't think it's a big job to replace that. is someone with a trained ear going to be able to listen to that and Make that discernment between powertrain and tensioners. Can you do that? Absolutely.

So if you have a stethoscope. Hit it right there at the V. Yep. Where the two timing chains come together, hit it there. If you got the tick there, then you know for a hundred percent that's it's coming from that timing gear there.

Yeah. And the tensioners. Hit the valve covers. If it's if you if you can get the Go ahead. I'm just again trying to zero on the on the location.

I'm familiar with the layout of the engine. You do have the valley there. block is quite visible in the front of the car. essentially standing next to So I'm right. look at it while you've been talking here.

Because when I give him The timing shall I get hand off this stethoscope, I'll point out where to use it to his family member. I'll see. James, huh?

So the old lady is right up on top. James. And right underneath it's a water pump. Giants. All right.

Mason's in here beating on the window.

So I'm going to put you on hold just a second. We'll be right back. And man, this is great. Yeah, we'll help you out, James. All right.

Be right back.

Okay, got it. With more to see and see auto show. We were singing by Miss American pie. I go machete to the levy to the levy. Them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye, and singing, This'll be the day that I die.

This'll be the day that I die We're back with you with the CNC Auto Show. We're going straight back to James. And James, we were talking about the Ford had the ticking noise, and you and Charles were discussing it on exactly where the ticking noise was coming from. Yep, and I've got a stopped video here in the wonderfully placed break that we just had there. And so I see, yeah, I see there's a gear right there hiding underneath the uh valve cover.

And so the chain comes up. There's got to be two chains then. And so Based on That Placement up there that I'm looking at right now. Is the tensioner up there, or do you have to really pull that pulley off and that whole front panel of the engine block to get at this tensioner set?

Okay, so the tensioner set's going to sit.

So. Right underneath the water pump, so the chains run right. parallel with to the water pump on either side. That's where your guide's intention is gonna is Sit right. right on either side of that, where it kind of where the chains will squeeze together to come down to the crank.

There. Those are just little hydraulic actuators they bolt on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So you can you can pop those off without having to take off your timing gears and all that other stuff. Yeah, yeah, you you should you don't have to remove any gears or timing chains or anything like that. And this won't pertain to this one, James, but what happens on some of those is that little guide that the tensioner kind of pushes against, it's got a plastic coating on it, and that gets breaks off. But the reason I don't think it's going to be that is because that would be a constant noise. It wouldn't come and go.

But just for others to know that. Doesn't the intermittent nature of this report have anything to do with this? Yes, it does. Yeah. It can do just like a list of timing change tensioner because it's not there all the time.

Oh, no, no, he wa no, the tensioner it it Talking about the guide itself has got a plastic arm. The plastic arm, yeah. The tensioner actually hits to put tension on the chain. Um The intermittent problems would be there with the tensioner itself because it's oil pressure control. Right, just like a lifter would be.

That's why if we can got it If you can isolate that versus the valve train, that'll tell you because both of those will cause that intermittent ticking. Yeah. If there was something wrong with the guide, you'd hear the chain slap all the time. All the time. And then it would eventually wear through the cover.

Yeah, and any time you gave it throttle, it would just get work. All right. Okay. So the first step is a B G Engine Restore. I think I found it.

I found the item. I got to find out where to get it and recommend it. And then. Also with the If we got timing chain noise, it's going to be loudest down there on that front cover. One side or the other, or both sides, in and around the the path of the serpentine belt.

Mm-hmm. The timing change. The timing change behind the serpentine. On the blog. But I mean Using the stethoscope, that's where I'm going to hear, it's going to help identify the location because it's going to be loudest there.

A long That front panel.

Okay. Yes, absolutely. Exactly.

All right. Try. Let's give you a wrong answer to the technique. Oh, you know what we got to do first? We have to.

Yeah, I got an idea. Let's read that question again. I stop by a gas station almost every morning. Get a cup of coffee and run out without paying the clerk. And I've been doing that for many years and they never said a word to me.

How do I get away with that? James, what is the answer to today's TACTAP quiz? There are two possibilities. One, I don't think you would choose this one, but I can't put anything past you. You walked in with your own coffee cup and you walked back out with it, and who's going to bother you about your own cup?

I don't think we're going to do that. But I do think you've probably got a Circle K or someone like that, because Circle K is in your area. And they have a subscription plan, I believe, for coffee, where you pay whatever it is. ten bucks a month or something, you can get a cup of coffee a day or something. Without any charge, and you must have some sort of a little identifier.

They give you a special cup or the high sign or the. The um That used to be true, James. Yeah, that used to be true. Circle Cake did away with that coffee club. There was a coffee club there that I would walk in and I would just I'd automatically be able to get a cup of coffee and walk out.

I think I'd pay them $10 a month. And uh it but they did away with it. I've been wanting them to come back, but so now uh it's you have to pay per cup.

Now you get a refill cheaper, you get a refill pretty, pretty cheap. uh there at Circle K. But no, no, it's a it's they don't have that thing where you get it free anymore. That would have been my guess. Yeah, no.

Yeah. It's kind of on that. Any other any other uh ideas on that, James? Just just That's the first one I said, which of course wouldn't be any fun, bringing in your own cup and going back out. Yeah.

Answer. Yeah. You look like you've got another one that's going to hang over to the next week. Oh, it's sure looking like it, James. Oh yeah, but I can't do this to you, man.

This is hard. You've done it tons of time. James, you can't do it. Here, I'm going to move this over here. I'm going to give it to Jamie Middlebutton.

I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it. She did it. There we go. I'm sorry, I wouldn't have done it to you, James.

If she could talk like that about the Maverick, then she could push the button. How's that? If you look underneath your truck and it's a unitized body, it ain't a truck. He's my favorite person in the world. I love you.

Wow. Especially and if they make one with the engine in the wrong way, it's just dead on arrival. Wow. That's got all factors correct.

Well, that's going to really tick off a lot of Maverick drivers out there. We're going to have to take a poll next show. Yeah. But yeah. Giants, we appreciate it.

Music is all I'm hearing. This is going to get tough here. All right. James, thank you. You bet.

All right. Bye now. Bye-bye. Always good to hear from Jays.

Okay, the number 800-224-9090. Looks like we still got that tech-tip quiz laying on the table. You got less than a minute, so if you call really fast, you might get it. I stop by every morning, get a cup of coffee, run out without paying, and the clerk. And I've been doing it for years.

If you know the answer, give us a call. We got time. Oh, I got two of so many things, but I also want to talk a little bit about give one more. One or two more good driving and darkness deals. Um To reduce the effects of eye fatigue at night while driving, eye doctors also recommend keeping your eyes moving and scanning all around the field of vision instead of just focusing in on one area.

Well, you should do that daytime driving too. Yes.

What's the rule of it? Back into your supposed check. I don't know. I check them constantly. I mean, it's this.

I'm pretty sure they're. Uh Oh, shoot. We got what? 44 seconds. Let's.

In just a second, we might go ahead and go to one more. Let's uh Let's consider doing that. Before we go to that next call, we might be able to get to it. I want to mention that our garage doors were making a loud noise. And so I started talking to garage door people.

They mentioned, yes, it's good to lubricate that. And our garage door person said, lubricate the doors with PB Blaster garage door lubricant.

So we bought a bunch. I brought a can up here because I sprayed mine at home down with this. And it's blaster garage door lubricant. But you don't have to do that often. That's what, once or twice a year?

I recommend about once every two or three months. He said, do it once a month, but I'm going to do it about every three months. I don't know. All right. I guess.

All right. We're going to try this real quick. We've got less than 30 seconds. Jason, we only got about thirty seconds, but we're going to let you give the answer to our Tech Tip quiz. And what is the answer to today's Tech Tip quiz?

You're a police officer. Police. Oh, now that's pretty good. Oh, yeah. Trial.

But this is going. I'm going to do it myself because we don't have time to let Jamie do it. But there we go. Hey, that was a good try. Thank you very much.

All right. All right, it's time to shut this hour down. We'll be back next week with more of the CNC Auto Show. A big thank you to co-host Jamie Bridges and Charles Davis and our show producers, Mason Rogers and Jacob Johnson. Thank you all that called in, tuned in, logged in.
