And I'll be on I'll be on I'll be on Milwaukee radio, I'll be on Wisconsin radio, the show gets picked up on Chicago radio. And I'm glad that the Packers won this game. It's their 11 straight win against the Bears Matt Lafleur still never losing against the Chicago Bears and at some point it is going to happen. At some point the Bears will beat the Green Bay Packers. This kind of what's that tweet about LeBron James?
Thank God LeBron is 30. This kind of fuckery can't go on forever. This kind of fuckery can't go on forever.
But we will enjoy it while it is. And I think in this game today, it did really seem like I thought the Bears were gonna win. It seemed to me like the Bears were gonna win this football game.
I was nervous about it throughout the week just because of everything that was happening with the with the Bears. They had a problem is I'm watching the end of the Ravens here. They had a problem with their offensive coordinator, they fire him. Eberflus is like trying to save his job. The Bears don't want to make the same mistake they've been making.
Eberflus is any better than these guys. They just don't want to do the thing where they start a rookie quarterback with a new head coach. After coming in with the previous coach that had the other quarterback, they don't want to keep doing that.
So they're trying to find ways to figure things out. They fire Shane Waldron, who was hired this offseason. And there was a different game plan today. I was watching the game with my nephew. And he said, did the Packers, are the Packers playing bad or are the Bears playing well? And I said, well, what's happening is that the Bears are able to do anything they damn well please against the Packers. Because the Packers, pardon my language, nephew, he is an adult. But I said, they can't stop shit. And then I also said, hopefully this fuckery goes on forever. Packers beat the Bears.
The Bears beat the Bears 20 to 19 on a block field goal. We're brought to you by Happy Place Hemp. Happy Place Hemp. The promo code is BART. We're going to have a great giveaway or a great promo code at the end of the season.

Parental advisory content for this podcast, of course, with the with the language. I didn't have any language when the Packers won this game. I sat there and just went with the Joey eyes from friends when he finds out Chandler and Monica are together. I just popped open the eyes. I, I couldn't believe it. I was discussing this game with the different various threads that you're on and texting that you're on.
Speaking of threads, that app's worse than the other one. Yeah, the other one. I'm a blue sky guy. Find me there bar way on blue sky.
Um, but yeah, so I'm in all these different chains. And I'm like, I didn't think they were gonna win. I was nervous about the game throughout the week. And as this game is happening, they couldn't do anything to stop it. Once the Packers decided not to go for a field goal and had Jordan love kind of run for his life a couple of times to stay down. What was it 1712 or 1713 once they weren't able to, I don't know what the hell this one was, but I know that the Packers were I thought they should have kicked the field goal.
And I you know, I usually like to see him go for it. But I thought they should have kicked the field goal because the Bears weren't putting it in the end zone as much. But they were able to do anything that they wanted on third and fourth down. What was the what was the finals on those on their conversions, the Bears, third down efficiency, nine of 16. Packers were one for five. The Bears had 16 third downs, and they made more than half of them. Four downs was three for three. I'm kind of surprised they didn't go even at the very end, when they punted it. Because it was a fourth and three and they could do anything that they wanted to do.
Anything that they wanted. Now there was obviously an adjustment for the Bears to try to get the ball out of Hey, does anybody know why Russell Wilson's not in the game? Did he get hurt?
I'm just again, I'm looking at this. Looking at the Steelers, dude. Or did they just put fields in? Yeah, okay, they ran him for a play. Oh, that's it. This year, Santa's bringing the power of energizer into his workshop. Whoa, the energizer bunnies got so much power. He's powered up all the toys. I think that means we're done for the year.
I love this bunny. He's the hardest working helper the North Pole has ever seen. And he wants all your gifts to have the power of the number one longest lasting double A battery.
So this holiday season stock up on Santa's and the elves favorite battery energizer ultimate lithium. Um, I didn't think that they were going to win this game eventually because of how disastrous things had been getting for them. All right, let's get Q in here.
They really, really, really, really, really, really suck. I don't hear you for shit. You can't hear me?
Hmm. Hello? No, I don't hear you.
I'll call back. Do you hear me? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I hear you.
My volume was all the way down. Oh, I was singing they really, really, really, really, really, really suck. Yes, the bears still suck. And it's, it's the only reason we won. I don't think we could have been playing any other team and won that game.
No, the bears, only the bears. Hats off to rich Versace, who is Ben vilified for the last couple of years, I'm happy to see the special teams come through this week. And I'm going to give the defense a free pass, just because it's, it's never easy to play a new offensive coordinator. When you change OCS, there's nothing on tape, and it's a new fresh idea.
So Jeff, Jeff happily was going in blind today. Well, that's what I was saying. I was getting to say until I got distracted by the Steelers game was that they made an effort and they talked about it on the broadcast, they made an effort to get the ball out of Caleb Williams hands quicker. And I'd like to see what the chart was on his throws, because for a while, it looked like he wasn't making any throws downfield that they were all quick, or like in the flat or whatever.
Now that last drive, he made some big throws as the Packers went prevent, which prevents you from winning, of course. Thank you for the courtesy. I thought it was good. Well, I've stolen it from 1000 people. Yeah. But you never heard that before prevent prevent you from winning. Maybe it's your delivery. I don't know.
Thank you. But yeah, they tried to get it out of his hands quicker. And also there were a lot more runs, they just they were trying to not have first and 10, second and 14.
You know, they wanted first and 10, and then second and five. And so they were, they were using Caleb Moore as a runner. But really, it was like it was exactly how they use Justin Fields. I mean, if Justin Fields would have been their quarterback, that would have been a similar game.
The same kind of thing would have happened. I mean, I agree until that last drive when he made a couple bigger passes. I don't know that last drive.
Yeah. Fields could not have done that. And I was actually watching the game, the first half of the game. With a couple of bears fans. And they were like nervous that they would win. Because they thought it meant either flus would keep his job at the end of the year.
Yeah. And I don't know if if I'm the bears, I would be upset. But I would be excited that Caleb Williams was not the reason they lost. Like he put them in position. And if anything, they took the game out of his hands like that. I think if Matt LaFleur hat was in that position, he might have thrown one more time when they were on the 30 to either get them closer or take a shot at the end zone. I don't know if I to me it felt like either flus was just kind of playing scared, but I don't know when at the end.
Yeah. Yeah, maybe they took the clock down. Well, and then punting when it was fourth and three, he should have like, if I'm a coach playing for my job, I'm just going to do that coin flip on fourth and three on the the one that, you know, they've been three for three up to that point. Like, yeah, so but I think my big concern from this game is just what is going on in the red zone. Well, and if people want to be concerned about Jordan love, like even a couple of his passes to Christian Watson were Yolo balls. It's like, what the fuck are you throwing that for? What did he see? Yeah.
Mr. I'm still dead says this makes up for the badgers getting job last night by the refs. And Taylor says needed this after seeing the ref screw Yanis in the box again yesterday. Yeah, it wasn't a good Saturday. Well, I Yeah, I I'm on Friday, I sent a text and it was like we got our first of four wins this weekend, which included like the two badger games the bucks and then the Packers and then I went over to on the next two. So it's nice to get the one I was at the badger game last night sitting in the student section. It was pretty fun. How? I'm a student. I'm getting my MBA in Madison. So do people look at you like what the fuck?
What the fuck is this guy doing here? Uh, no, they get excited because I'm like walking around with beers. So like, then I was always like, the lines are pretty long.
So like, you always grab two. And so undergrads are like, Can I have that beer and at the like the first couple times I was like, Hmm, no, like, I'm so sorry. But no, like, these are for my friends.
And then, like, it kept happening so much. I just kept being like, no, like, they're like a bad dog. You got to sell them that you say 20 bucks. No, I, I mean, they are already like 20 bucks. I just have to walk it back in line.
Because you can only get two per ID. So the other funny just be doing that all night. I just make a racket. It was a pretty good game part. It was I was I watched it. I watched it.
I watched it. I got one other funny story. So I like pulled out this bratwurst. And the girl next to me, who's probably like 18 years old is like, is that a hot dog? And I was like, Yeah, and she just looked at me and I could tell like, she wanted it. So I was like, Do you need a bite? And she was like, Yeah, and she took it and she ate like half of it in one bite. I just gave her the rest of it.
But it was like, these are I forgot what it was like being being undergrads where they're just like poor and like, don't know what to do. Were you just sitting in the student section by yourself? No, I was with five other people from my cohort. So Hmm. All right.
Well, good luck on that. That's, that's fun. It was fun.
So all right, Bart. Well, go pack go. Go pack. Oh, good to see you. See you.
The bears still suck. I like the double G you're repping with the shirt and the hat. Yeah. I'm rocking Lambeau Field today.
What is that? Who's on your head? Is that a number 12 hat? No, no, no, it's Bart Starr. Oh, yeah. Like, I was concerned. I was like, Do you lose a bet? No, no, Bart Starr. Yeah, that's pretty good.
But I'm glad you cleared that up, though. It's lost today, too, by the way. Who lost? The Jets.
Oh, that's not a shocker. No, they look pretty bad. How did Rogers do? He had a touchdown late, but he looked bad. What was Rogers today?
20 to 29, 185. You had two touchdowns. How did Tay do? Tay Adams?
Six for 72. Is that the most yards he's had so far as a Jet? I know he's had the touchdown, but.
No, he had 91 one game in their win. They're one and four with Devontae Adams. Have there been any other interesting games today? I've been out of a loop.
Oh, you want a little rundown? The Steelers did hang on to beat the Ravens. The Detroit Lions won 52 to six. Rams beat New England Saints. Okay, Taysom Hill today. Seven rushes, 138 yards and three touchdowns. I started him in a league, too.
And he had eight catches for 50 yards. Do we play them after the Niners? The Saints? I don't think we play the Saints. I thought we do. I thought we had a Monday night game against them. Oh, we do? That's Christmas week.
Okay, so we've still got a month. Yeah. Yeah, Taysom Hill had three rushing touchdowns. That's insane. Pretty fucked up.
He had a 75 yard run. All right. All right. You leaving? Yeah, sure.
Take care, Bart. All right. Talk to you soon. See you. Cute. Jumping on here.
Yeah, a lot of good games in the afternoon window. Just looking at everything that happened in this Packer game. I think conversations are going to be had about Jordan Love. I don't think that he is not the answer. I don't think he's not our quarterback. We've got our quarterback as much as the Bears have their quarterback. And I think they have their quarterback. It would have been lame to lose the first game to Caleb Williams.
I just. Again, it's not it's not the winning that I want. It's the not losing. I don't want to lose to the Bears because I don't want the Bears fans. I don't want the Bears fans to.
The more this streak continues. The more annoying it's going to be when it's over. So the longer that the Packers keep winning, the euphoria and the release and the joy from Bears fans is going to be so extreme and obnoxious and difficult to bear, pun not intended.
But it is going to be difficult to seep through and try to grab. It's just going to be hard to ignore because you're going to have Bears fans that are very, very excited, which they should be excited. But I just don't want that to happen.
Now you can't control what you can't control. I certainly was prepared for the loss today. Stunned that Brooks blocked the field goal certainly should not have. I mean, this was a win like they didn't deserve this win. The Packers played bad. They let the Bears do whatever they wanted on offense. They couldn't score in the red zone. Jordan Love made some bad choices. Matt Leflore made some bad choices. The two point conversion was really not a good play call. So they didn't deserve to win this game. And it's a new quarterback there.
And I think he was feeling it. I don't think there's like issues of the past that have haunted the Bears. Now, maybe for their fan base, maybe the fan base is like, oh, no, not again. But this was right there for the taking for them. And it drops them even further. There was a time in the NFC North when everybody was over 500.
That's no longer the case. Bears fall to four and six. Packers at seven and three. So we're not winning the NFC North.
That is for sure. There's no chance Detroit is going to the Super Bowl. But the Packers right now is the Vikings won as well. Commander's loss, Packers would have the sixth seed, which would send us where it would send us to Atlanta.
And that, you know, they're in action. That could all change. Got the Niners next week, petrified of that game. Brock Purdy, who I wasn't ready to crown when I wasn't ready to crown him.
I might start to be ready. Now he's playing well. Now Brock Purdy is good.
And you can't really run from that anymore. Packers again, Jordan Love, not his best game. I thought for a while, if they would have lost, we would have said, well, the game plan that they had against the Titans and Colts with Malik Willis, that might have been enough to win this game. But instead, Love's throwing prayer balls into double coverage and over Kraft's head, I don't think he even had a catch today. Just wasn't, he wasn't as sharp. He only threw 17 times, completed 13, 261, had a touchdown and a pick.
So his rating was 113. But as you watch the game, Caleb looked to be more in control. Love at four rushes, 18 yards and a touchdown, Caleb nine of 70. But if you watch that game, Caleb looked to be more in control.
It's just they didn't happen to get the victory. Josh Jacobs was great, 18 for 76. Again, not so good on the two point conversion, but he is very good. And I'm very happy about having him as the running back. I know we all miss Aaron Jones. I know we all thought we were going to have both of them for a while, but very happy to see how Josh Jacobs has been. And he's moving the piles more, which is good.
You can feel his strength when he's out there, which is good to see. Christian Watson, a massive day. We talked about that this week. Again, the ink to the Winkler verse. If you're stumbling upon this, we do an episode pretty much each week where we talk about different things, Wisconsin sports. And we were asking about most reliable receiver.
And I had gone the way of read. Romeo Dobbs got talked about. Grant mentioned Christian Watson, and Watson was incredible today. Even the one that they reviewed where he got back up and ran with it. I thought they were going to steal that from us because as he got up, there was like a little tuck of the ball that moved. And you know, at the NFL, sometimes that's just enough.
Sometimes it's just enough to overturn it. But thankfully, we were able to keep the catch and eventually go down the field. But yeah, the Packers, led by Christian Watson, four for 158. Josh Jacobs had four catches, 58 yards. He was great after the catch. Jaden Reed at the touchdown and another grab. Dobbs just the one and he had a drop, which was no good. Chris Brooks, a couple. Gary got in for a sec. Cox, that sec that Cox had was great.
Where he did not fight on the play action. Slayton with another one. And McManus just two extra points for him tonight. So Packers win 20 to 19. They got the 49ers next week. The bye, I think they just had the bye and they lost to Detroit before that. And a lot of times teams that play Detroit when they play their next game, it does not go well by or not, and maybe there's some carry over to that. Detroit, again, is very, very good. Certainly the class of the NFC, possibly the class of the NFL, depending how this Bills-Chiefs game goes today. But one other thing that's good is the Packers did not lose another NFC North game.
It had gotten to the point where it looked like our losses were going to come against the Vikings and well, the Eagles, but then the Vikings, Lions and Bears, which would have been no, no good. All right, looks like I got the Sean O'Connell. Basement or garage? Garage.
I moved an existing shelf. Are they not calling you the Sean O'Connell on the fan these days? I gave it a try and... Mason's not into it? I don't know. Like I said, I wanted to like it and give it a try.
It's not for me. Oh, no, you're not listening to the show? Correct. I thought you were calling in to the show. Like I said, I tried to support and get the ball rolling. I wasn't going for that answer. What's that?
Tim, post. No, I wanted to like it. Just talk to me about the game instead.
Yes. Or speaking of the things I wanted to like and ended up not. Matt Lafleur, not happy. I mean, is anyone happy? I mean, all this bullshit from these virgins that also have radio shows that are like, people shouldn't get mad at Matt Lafleur. He should, in fact, be getting votes for Coach of the Year. If you have ever tasted a vagina in your life, you would never say that. That's all I'm going to say.
For the love of God. He is the third best coach on his best day. He is the third best coach in the division.
And we have two people that I mean, we are on the bottom looking up. If you're going to put the way winning two games with a backup quarterback, then it doesn't Kevin O'Connell, doesn't he get eight games that he's won with a backup quarterback? They were not planning on going with Malik this or not. Sam Darnold, rather. This year they're going with JJ and he got injured. So now they went with Plan B and he's won eight games. So that's last I look, four times the wins with a backup quarterback. So I would say Kevin O'Connell is I wish I could say he's relation, but no relation of mine would work for the Vikings and pack cash and paychecks from those jokers. So there it is. Matt Lafleur got to go. If you think he's Coach of the Year, you're part of the problem. If you have a radio show, a blog, podcast, whatever, he's not coming to your birthday party if you say he's Coach of the Year. That's all there is to it.
How are you doing? Are you the Tim Post? If anyone's kids are listening, I did not say that it was Sean. My God, nobody's kids are listening. We're too angry in this universe for kids to be listening. Anyway, I mean, I'm way off base on this.
I mean, well, they won. He keeps telling us that it's in press conferences, that it's his fault. Sooner or later, you people need to start listening to him and believing him.
I believe him every time he says it's his fault, I believe him. So what did you like the least? I didn't like the two point call, obviously, because it didn't work. But you want to give because all these other plays down there, they were giving love an option and they just went to Jacobs there.
But then I probably, you know, and I love to go for it. But I thought a field goal would have been more efficient to cut the lead to two would have been. I keep forgetting what the fuck the score was. It was 20 to 19. And that is no, they were up. They were up 19 to 14 at that point. Yeah, there.
Yeah. Probably my favorite play of the game was, I want to say, with six ish minutes into the second quarter. And Jordan went to check down and just threw the ball away. He overthrew Jacobs. But if Jacobs would have caught, he would have got smashed for like a four yard loss. But Tom Brady goes, oh, he had a wide receiver open in the middle of the field. And that wide receiver was Dontavian Wicks. So to me, that shows improvement on Jordan Love not trusting him right now, because, I mean, if you have anybody in your life that you trust, the way Jordan Love has been trusting Dontavian Wicks this season, you're doing pretty good.
You're living a great life. So to see Jordan Jordan checked down off of him, I thought showed great improvement. That was my favorite play. Austin's joining the chat. Let's go, boys. Rocking the in-season tournament shirt.
Let's go. Did they give out any shirts this year? Did they give out any NBA Cup shirts this year? No, no, I don't have the $200 to go get a shit ticket to watch nobody play. So you know where I did go Friday? I took my kid to SmackDown and he fucking loved it. I heard OK.
I heard on the national show that you were going, I fucking loved it. You know, Roman Reigns and the Usos, they all do the one like acknowledge me. They come out and I look at him and he's stone face like.
He's five years old. And I go, are you acknowledging Roman Reigns? And he goes, no.
I'm like, who are you acknowledging? He goes, the other guys. So he's and then he got I got him a box of popcorn, which he fucking housed. And they did this thing during the break, like show me your sign. And everyone's getting on TV with a sign and I look over at him and he's got the little box of popcorn, he's holding it up like a star. Well, yeah, man, that's a wrestling event. Let's go.
That is the funniest shit. All right. What did you think today? I mean, they won.
That was one of the most frustrating games that I've seen. And I don't want to be. The the guy, but I'm going to still I'm going to say it again. Matt Leflore is not that good of a coach.
And I so I'm I'm going to do this from a national perspective. So I want to then hear your I'm going to take it off air. So Matt Leflore is not that good of a fucking coach, man. He's not.
And I said on your first fucking podcast, so. I think he's a good coach. I still think he needs to fail at something before he's good at it.
And I think we're checking that box, Jesus Christ. I also think he. He like, I don't know, sometimes the decision making process, I think he like decides on something and then thinks of the other thing, but then thinks of how that's going to be and then does the other thing.
I don't know. It's just sometimes it just is weird. The flow of the decisions. So it sounds like what you're saying is the guy doesn't know what he's doing. Well, I think he gets his own head, I don't make his own head a little bit. So that would then make him a bad coach, right, because he doesn't know what he's doing, I get in my own head and I don't know what I'm doing.
Am I a bad host? No, you're well, you live in the moment. You live in the moment. I don't know, sometimes you're good.
No bullshit, Bart, if you lived in New Jersey 50 years ago, you'd be like one of the eighth Ramones. You would be you'd learn just enough. But musically to bang on some drums, play bass, guitar, whatever, just enough and just be in that moment and let it go.
That and people would love it. That's what you do. That's not what Matt Leflore does. You're punk rock, Bart.
Packers won today, 20 to 19. People forget, people who forget. Are you guys worried about love? I'm not like worried about him, but there's certainly things he does that are bad. OK, that interception. Well, that one that one he overthrew and OK, that's fine. I'm more like that one pass that Watson caught. Like, how did you think that was going to be caught?
And even the read one earlier this season with the three guys on him, the end result is good. But in his brain, I don't know how he unless he like has a thing where he can see 10 seconds into the future and knows what's going to happen. How is he throwing some of these balls? OK, so I thought the same thing.
So the way that I think about it is. Jordan Love has to he's got to have so much in trust in himself to make those passes, and this is your two. So to be able to like still have the confidence after you've thrown all those bad interceptions, all the mistakes you've made to still have the confidence to do it, I think that is I think that's a positive and that's going to trend up for him because eventually he'll like find those same throws.
But it'll be like, OK, well, I'll throw it. You know, eight inches higher, whatever a quarterback does, I don't know, I'm not a quarterback, but he's. And this is and I will give Matt LeFlore something on this is he doesn't hold Jordan Love back. He's like, oh, do you? Yeah. So Jordan loves going and doing him and he's complaining about Rogers, like not taking these kind of chances. You know, Jordan Love takes the kind of chances we wish Rogers did. Yeah, 100 percent, man, and Love is doing it. Yeah, he's getting picked off a few times, but this is a year or two of love. And like and they signed him to the deal.
So we got him for a few years, like imagine him four years from now. It could be it could be Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers combined. And it would be a mate like wouldn't everybody want to see that baby? Would you call that a love child, Austin? Yes. Yes.
That's exactly what I would call it, John. Time of possession in this game, the Bears had it for thirty six and a half minutes, Packers twenty three. I mean, they did anything they wanted on us. This is this is a stunning result. We had no business winning this football game, none, and it doesn't feel like a win either, to be honest, the these are our perennial bitches and they damn near got one on, like I said, at some point they are going to win and the longer the streak goes, the more annoying it's going to be when we lose, but but they won, right? We got to keep that in mind. They still gritted it out and found a way to win. Yeah, eventually the Bears are going to win.
They didn't yet. Because I think I think we all assume we're getting into the playoffs, but had they lost. We would drop we would have dropped down to six and four to be the seventh seed. If the Niners win, they're going to be six and four. They play us next week.
The rant like this was this was the playoffs are not guaranteed for us. And I still think I mean, the Lions are going to go to the Super Bowl, but. That you're saying that as if they're as if the Packers can't beat them, though, what do you mean the Lions are going to?
The Lions are one of the best teams that we've seen in 10 years. So. Okay. But wouldn't at some point they have to play the Packers? Well, yeah, but they'll probably win.
Well, okay. Well, we're not. I'm just saying, as I look ahead, I feel like the playoffs are I feel like we're absolutely going to be in the playoffs. But had they lost today, that's a that's on a lot shakier ground. Okay, so let's look at it this way. The Lions are definitely the favorite to be NFC in the NFC Championship game.
100% guarantee with that not guarantee. Agree with that. The Packers, though, play them very tough. And like, it sucks that the last that game that they lost, they lost that now that was not the Lions best game. The Lions. Okay, okay.
The Packers play the Lions tough, but the Lions play them. All right. I don't know. I'm trying to workshop what I'm thinking.
You workshop it, bring it to the national show. Yeah. Okay. I'll get out of here. I'm going to go watch Chief's Bills.
Yeah, I'm with you, Bart. I think it is KC Detroit and I just disappeared, but I agree with you. I think it is Detroit Detroit Conference to lose.
It really is. And I think they have a very good chance of winning it. And I'm not going to put them over too much either, because I mean, when you have 30 years of, like, top three draft choices, I mean, eventually it's got to hit, so I'm not going to say their turnaround is remarkable or anything like that. It's like you said, eventually the Bears are going to win one. Well, you know, you have shitty enough seasons year after year in a row.
You're going to get all the talent and eventually, even by accident, you're going to hire someone that can make it work. And that's what terrifies me about the Chicago Bears, because I hate them so much. I hate them so much. So the further down, the more we win, the further down that hate is going to go.
And then when they win, it's going to rise up like a volcano. You're not in charge of my hate, Bart Winkler. I don't want to be. You think of my love for Thanksgiving. My hate for Chicago Bears is the mirror of that.
It is the mirror of it. So there you go. All right. I hope you like the Buffalo Bills game. Love you, buddy. See you. This is Sean O'Connell. Good to catch up with some of the boys.
