The Boston Celtics' 18 championships are being reevaluated by some, with critics arguing that the team's success in the past should not be compared to their modern-day achievements. The debate raises questions about how to count championships in the NBA, with some arguing that the Celtics' titles from before the merger should be treated differently than those won since.

You need Indeed. Good morning, everybody. My name is Bart Winkler. Oh, I do have a microphone here.

My name is Bart Winkler. Good to be with you. Coming live at you, everybody, on a Tuesday. I wanted to say a couple of things. We'll have this week, of course, as we always do, but I like to do another live show throughout the week, give people the chance to comment or hop on or or whatever. Keep the keep the RSS feeds going on the the all the stuff like and subscribe.

So a couple of different things here. I want to talk about the Celtics and my whole banner 18 versus five titles post merger thing. And to do that, I'm going to play a piece of audio from my show on the Infinity Sports Network. Then I want to talk a little bit about the Brewers and how they are just crushing it in terms of the broadcast booth lately and crushing it in the standings. The National League is a mess of everybody being two or three games under 500 as shitty as the Cubs have been playing, and we relish in that as Brewers fans watching Craig Council have a hard time. They're only, I think, two games out of a playoff spot. So the playoff structure very watered down in Major League Baseball is we have been talking about or at least I have been bitching about. Got a comment here from E. You can comment throughout.

I'll put the link up as well. We do this on Tuesdays wet Mondays. I don't know. I gotta get better at the timing.

Usually I'll do it on Mondays, but if I'm a little hungover from Sunday, I will do it on Tuesday. Exhibit A. E says Celtics are frauds. We all know Damon Giannis would have swept the Celtics. Well, that is bold. That is a bold claim. I don't know that they would have won the series, but thankfully we'll never have to find out or maybe we can last year when next year when the Celtics are not as hungry. They got one.

So maybe they're not as hungry. So what I want to first do, and on the Dan Cheney YouTube stream, it might not look as sexy because it'll just be my head next to another picture of my head, but it's audio from my show. And Infinity Sports Network 921 right in the evenings central time. I told people at the beginning of the show, like, because it was clear that the Celtics were going to win the NBA championship, which would mean banner 18. And I told people at the beginning of the show. What you're gonna hear tonight is the most true me. It's gonna be the most true me. It might be bad me I hope not.

I want it to be good me. But it's going to be the most true me. Like you can listen to the show tonight, Monday after the Celtics win, and you'll get a good representation of who I am the kind of things I say and, and what I'm interested in, and the opinions and thoughts that I have, so I did preface it. Now, throughout the show got a lot of, you know, the normal comments I get when I color outside the lines a little bit.

People finding my Facebook messaging me that I'm too loud for screaming. It'll be this segment that I'm about to play. So, I'm going to play seven minutes of what I said immediately after the finals ended. And what set me off I was already upset about this 18 banner thing, but what set me off was, we were listening to Jason Tatum. In the ear we were playing it back when you just said on TV, where he's like, at a loss for words Oh y'all doubted us again we doubted you because you couldn't do the thing that we all thought you could do. And also, they had just shown a graphic on TV of the Celtics a still shot of them winning every championship that they had won. And it really pissed me off because these these these championships are not comparable. So I present to you this is national radio Bart.

Okay, same lovable guy on the into the Winkler verse podcast, he found a way he found a way in on the national platform so I present to you. Need to hire.

You need indeed. Alright, the Bart Winkler show nationally nine to one central time at the night times in the evenings. I saw Jason Tatum speak, I saw the Celtics and all their little still shots from every title they've ever won. And then I decided I need to complain and bitch about it way that I'm about to host the rest of this program is in no way shape or form.

Professional in any way. I don't, I can't. I can't do it because I am annoyed.

For several reasons. Now, remember, I just did a very nice job, giving credit to the Boston Celtics, it is on record. I did. I picked them to win in six. They won in five. Okay, I was wrong.

Two things that are really setting me off right now one. Jason Tatum Okay, fine. What they going to say now what they going to say now, they're going to say the same things that they've been saying for the last seven years. The Boston Celtics are the greatest team ever. I mean, that's all that's what the Who's they?

Who's they? Who doubts this team? You guys are the ones you are perennially the favorites. You guys are the one that everybody picks to win. You guys are the one that everybody in the NBA fawns over whether you're from Boston or not.

Okay. Everybody feels smart tonight because they took the Boston Celtics, the Boston Celtics winning this championship was the most obvious thing that's ever happened in the NBA besides that little run where we knew it was going to be Cleveland and Golden State four years in a row. What they going to say now, they're going to say, Oh yeah, the Celtics won, just like we thought they would. That's what they're going to say. Okay. Furthermore, just as they were coming back from break and they're talking to the owners now because you got to talk to the, the owners before the players are the ones whose blood sweat and tears really made it work.

They just showed on TV. A picture of the Celtic celebrating every championship they've ever had dating back to 1957 they showed a picture of the team celebrating. I would like to remind people, or maybe you're not aware of this. But I would like to say that the success of the Boston Celtics historically. The way that it's painted to you. The sports consumer is the biggest gas lighting of sports history.

You are being gas lit, you are being manipulated, you are being lied to, you are being deceived. With 18 championships this team has won. Do you realize how many of those titles have been won when there have been 30 teams in the league? Two. Do you realize how many of those titles have been won when there's been more than 20 teams in the league? Five. Do you realize how many times the Boston Celtics won a title when there were a single digit number of teams in the league?

You want to know? Nine times they won a title with less than 10 teams. Of the 18 championships, half of them came with nine teams or less in the league. Their first four came with eight. There was a Western division, four teams.

There was an Eastern division, four teams. This is not a bit. I wish it was.

I pray it was. I would much rather say like, oh, well, that was a pretty, you know, normal championship. We won the series in five. Okay, fine.

It was a historically good team. Okay. Yeah, Kyrie and Luca and whatever and, you know, whatever. I wish I thought to myself, tonight, you know, I got to find a reason to rile people up. I got to do that tonight. I wish I was doing that. I wish this didn't bother me as much as it does. I wish this wasn't coming from a place of burning passion and hatred.

Jalen Brown, Finals MVP. Thank God, first of all. That's one less thing to set me off tonight.

That does make me happy. The Boston Celtics have won 18 world championships. Correct. How many times have they won the NBA?

18. They have. When they've been in the NBA, 18 of those years, they won the championship, including tonight.

I think we need to look at this as their fifth title post merger. You do it in the NFL? Why aren't we doing that in the NBA? Why are we giving this title the same amount of credit we give a title back in 1957 when there were eight teams?

Why do we do that? The Celtics are the greatest, the greatest team. They were the team of the 60s. They're the greatest franchise in the NBA. Here, I'll tell you year by year how many teams were in the league all the years they won.

Ready? 8, 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 10, 14, 17, 18, 23, 23, 23, 30, 30. More teams make the postseason in today's NBA in one conference with the playing tournament than there were in the entire league. The first nine years the Celtics won a title. So I am all for tonight giving the Celtics their recognition. The 2023-2024 Boston Celtics.

They can have all the recognition they want. They had Tatum and Brown. They've been working through it.

They've been working together. They've gone through a bunch of different coaches in that time for different reasons. They found Drew Holliday for his championship medal. They got Chris Tepps for Zingas in a very one-sided trade that also netted them first round pick somehow. They got Derek White. They built a bench that was good enough when needed.

Peyton Pritchard is hitting shots at the end of the quarter like it's nobody's business in multiple games. They outplayed, outclassed, out-hustled a Dallas Mavericks team that we all thought and we were all very high on after they won the Western Conference Finals. So you want to celebrate this individual team?

I think that that is great and in fact encouraged. But to try to compare this team to all those teams of the past, it's unfair to this team. And this 18-banner thing?

I ain't into it. They shouldn't count as much now as they did back then. They should count more now. You played in round-robin tournaments. The Celtics in the 1960s were winning the Maui Invitational.

Tonight they won an NBA championship. The thing that I did not get to, and thank you Bart Winkler everyone, because this is the retort and this is why I feel like I am an expert to talk about this. Look at this boys and girls maybe. Look at this.

Look at this plaque of which hangs in my house. And there's Cone in the waiting room. I'm coming Cone.

I'll just get Cone on now. It's weird. When you tell anyone 13-time world champion, they will immediately say, Well how many Super Bowls? And you'll say four.

But if you tell someone, Boston Celtics, five titles since the merger, five titles since the three-point line came out, they'll say, No, it's not the same. Why? All I'm trying to do is make it the same. One shitty live podcast at a time. ConeRoller, what's up pal?

Good to see you Bart. I agree with you. Banner 18 though. Banners do hang forever though. I don't think they should take them down. I think they should do what the Lakers did and start a new banner just for in-season tournaments.

And all the 50s and 60s banners can go on one banner. Are you getting much pushback though from Celtics fans that they still count those whatever 13? I've gotten a lot of pushback. I think from Celtics fans it's been minimal. I'm getting a lot of pushback from everyone else.

Some guy was all up in my shit today. His logo is Maple Leafs. Maple Leafs won how many titles?

13? They haven't won since they walked on the moon. Allegedly. I mean, there's a shadow in the picture. I'm not saying.

Well, there was just a rocket that got launched I think a couple weeks ago and they couldn't even transmit the live feed in today's technology. I doubt that they've been doing that in the 60s. We'll see. How do you like my like, you know, sometimes sometimes people will Hey, I talked to this guy nine years ago. I just I just got right into the recycling of content immediately. Not even 12 hours later.

About what? I just played my clip from my show. Oh, I like that. Yeah. People it was the end of the finals. I didn't know it's good advertising for my show.

I think I'll just so the finals will just always remember me of the juice is loose. I don't know why. Oh, sure. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, did you have that though on your bingo card that OJ Simpson would be in a chase?

It was my free space. Yeah, totally. Yeah. So I the main thing again is they did win the league eight and 19 times or 18 times they did.

They did. And I think it's fine for Boston fans to celebrate that I'm like Boston fans. If you want to run around and say 18 because now gives you more championships in the Lakers, who have 17. I think the rest of us though need to think how many post merger, because if you're going to tell me that the Niners Cowboys you know these teams have one more Super Bowls in my Packers. How many of the Niners are five.

I don't know. Yeah, I mean, Cowboys I know because I got one's got a fight at Jerry world, because I said, he goes, I said we have 13 he goes we have five we have you for like they don't even count it so in the NFL. It's fine not to count it but in the NBA you have to count it so I'm not super upset that Celtics fans want to run with the 18 just like we run with the 13. But everybody else knows they don't really have 13, or they do but how many came in the modern era. Why is there no modern era for basketball I just don't understand. Do the Yankees have 27 rings.

Um, I think that there's a way you can change the rules there too. Yeah, I agree. And I don't think anybody is like validating that the Yankees actually have 27 rings and I think that's the same way that we should look at the Celtics.

We should look at the Celtics and sadly the Packers as well. They all won their leagues in the setup that the league was whether it was a few teams or an entire, you know, group of people was not allowed to play like they they they played a league and they won but there's also a lot of different points of demarcation I was saying last night that you can look and say, I it's definitely different. It's a new era and the thing that bothers me the most is we're so agreeable to do it with the Super Bowl.

We get it. It doesn't even it's like it's like it's not even a second language it's a first language, maybe, maybe because it's called something you know it's world championships for Super Bowls, and it's still we're all 18 for the Celtics NBA Finals, I guess, probably not. Because there was.

Yeah, I don't know. Well at least NBA championship or right. Yeah, it wasn't like there wasn't because there was an NFL championship game sometimes but sometimes Packers, their first titles were just best record, they got the title. It wasn't even a game, but still, their first title in 1929. I'll have you know, there was 12 teams, which is more than the Boston Celtics one. Their first nine titles.

Well then are we did. So there's Bill Russell really have those rings. Well, and I hate to like make this a bill Russell thing. I don't want to discredit him.

Alright p of course. Yeah, but he lost or he won. That's no good.

He won when there weren't a lot of teams that were eight teams dude, and there wasn't free agency so all you have to have was a good team once and then you just ran roughshod forever. It's completely fair to argue there's a complete split and in arrows. So, but why, why come why don't why don't we because sports fans are dumb and especially Boston sports fans. Look, I said this last night, I don't want to be like I don't want to do this. I don't want to take this on. It's just to your responsibility as the national media. I think that it is.

That's the weight you bear. This is why Cone always wears a bag spilling conspiracy theories that's for. Yeah, look it up. It's real.

Look it up. He also says Bart how many hats did you buy from that Facebook ad. That's a nice hat. It looks like grants logo kind of this, this hat. It does this hat.

I did not get off Facebook. Is that my kids soccer still Wisconsin part of the license plate. Is that my kids soccer. And I saw another guy wearing this hat.

So I just rushed online and typed it in and you can tell like it's just it just got printed on like the day I bought it was still warm when you got it. They fucked up the end over here. This is making me dizzy looking through these eye holes that deeply.

You can check this out on the Dan Cheney YouTube stream. Anything else the top of mind I got Vincent if you're still watching I was going to play your videos that you sent me like that was amazing. Shout out to Vincent in Anaheim, he was, he was made for this Brewers angels series.

Too bad we couldn't get the win yesterday, a little frustrated in the seventh, second and third no outs three straight strikeouts that's tough. Mavs completely disappointing effort in the finals completely gave up. I think wind horse coming at Luca. I don't know what wind horses role is anymore now that he's not right in Lebron's D, but I like it kind of, I like him calling out Luca.

By writing is do you mean writing his direction of career. Yeah, exactly. Yep. Yeah. Yeah, the final sucks it won't be remembered.

Nope. The Mavs had a good duo. But they didn't have anybody else and that's why you know with the Celtics building their team the way they did to were like, they got Porzingis and picks in the first round.

They gave out worst picks and they got while getting present guess. Derek white, they traded for Romeo Langford I think Drew holiday, the bucks did not trade him guys, not to Boston. And Grant Williams in the postgame celebration. He was in the locker room after the game. Why, because he's in Charlotte right and they're getting.

I don't know something to do with the coaching Charles Lee was involved in it. Derek white it was very confusing. Grant Williams is there.

Yes, I just saw a video like a half hour ago. The search grant Williams on x, see what happens. Who, who is who is who is a taco fall is there to Sam Houser getting a ring and contributing. Yes, that was a good three point man. I didn't like his quote before game five but you know, what do you say there. He's like, Yeah, I hope we win and we close it out at home but it's not the end of the world.

If we lose you know we'll go on to game six, which I thought was a little weird. Here's Jaylen brown walking through the tunnel. At least Tatum didn't win finals MVP. Look, Kamala Harris is hosting a summit.

Oh, I follow all the political leaders just in case anyone's getting ideas. Grant Williams there is. So who is, uh, who is less welcome in the postgame celebration. Grant Williams with the Celtics, or money Williams, when he stormed over to congratulate the bucks. Grant Williams still I think so too.

Just a bum. And he was on the maps earlier this year. Is that is any like shouldn't that be a bigger storyline like both of these teams at Grant Williams, nobody wants to cover him. Nobody wants to talk about him. And he was almost a buck dude.

Is he much to talk about the I mean he had a couple good playoff series but people just like talking about him for how much they don't like him as a teammate. Right. Four votes of the MVP voting for Jason Tatum. The Dale or the Boston Globe guy. Who's the other one. Who was the other guy. I don't remember.

But Malika and doors birth, both voted for Tatum for MVP. Interesting. Here's a comment. I just, hey, I just, I just want.

I just want everyone to get along. Will you be covering the RNC on the Winkler verse podcast. I should have got credential to go down there. Be interesting, get an interview with like Scott Walker or something, he'll be there. I've interviewed Scott Walker, close to a half dozen times perhaps. Wow.

Yeah. He's been on, he's been he came to our studio twice. He brought, he brought his wife's nuts. Interesting that she she makes every Christmas. They were very, very good toy drive related or what. No, it's just that every every year, Scott Walker wanted to do a little like radio tour around Christmas, and to like to like, make it worth everyone's time he said I got treats. And so I did, I had to come there. I had to go to the studios, the show started at six, I had to be there at like for 15. They said they could case the building for Scott Walker. Wow. I was like guys.

It's a Chuck and Winkler show we're our signals dog shit, no no he's even gonna know he's here. Was this before after the, the 1057 days when it was still just 1250. Um, I think it would have been 1250. Yeah, I think we're looking at 1250 there. There's an issue getting 1057 and we're at Worth Park.

Over the summers. They're strong. The what signal, the 1057 FM signal. Oh god you can't even get I couldn't get that anywhere. You know my car doesn't have am radio it doesn't work. That's a sin, like it has it but it doesn't work. So if I ever want to listen to a brew game on the way to work. I turn on 1033 that's 620 simulcast that they were all excited about made their new logo for two weeks and then all the olds got confused so they just went back and pretended like they didn't have it.

It had to be like a order item off a secret menu. But then I listened to it and then on the way past the stadium I lose I always lose 1033 right by the stadium. Did you get that car at radio Joe's place of work. I did.

Hmm. Well Joe's been. You think Joe cut the am.

I'm not saying I'm not a conspiracy theorist like I'm shark son but I bought it at Hyundai West Alice. John motto. No, no. Joe Joe into a different spot now. I should connect back with Joe and have them on transfer portals just getting ridiculous these days. I like, I like I like when I have Joe on he just shits on all the other people in the media so I don't have to.

Yeah, he's a good like he can get the voice out there. Well, I mean, I'm not on the same battlefield as these people so what do I know what you just don't know what they're trying to do. Yeah, they have a long game that I just don't understand. I don't know if anybody does, but it is newbie Tuesday so any Winkler verse members, you'll get to the front of the line on the jury and KB program is that you get front of the line. Yeah. Because I tried to be a newbie but it wasn't on a Tuesday. Hmm.

That's a problem. Well, it is Tuesday so you can be Barton Bayfield. Yeah, I'm.

My name is, my name is Bart Dinkler. Anything else cone. I'm trying to think. I mean WNBA more controversy over the weekend. I watched it as good game. What do you think of that Andrew, Angela reset, was it a or angel Reese, was it a dirty foul or play at the ball. I think it was a play on the ball.

I know you pop right in, I think it was a play on the ball. Yeah, I agree. I think like they have a competitive rivalry where they probably don't like each other but they understand that they've helped each other. Couldn't they just say like, I mean, wouldn't it be even bigger if angel Reese just said like yeah I hate that girl. I don't know I think she's telling the line pretty good. Hmm.

I think, you know, I think it's like, okay, it can't happen forever. But if I was another person in the WNBA. I would probably hip check Caitlin I'd be like now you know my name. True. Who knew Kennedy Carter two weeks ago. Yeah, honestly.

The only, the only way that Caitlin Clark is going to have any positive impact is if other people then become known and then you go. Okay, so obviously I want to watch them against the sky again but the sky are playing the Liberty tonight I'll check that out. That's what needs to happen. Because messy joined the MLS and people were watching messy until he was running around these kids like they're 10 year olds, and then you didn't learn anybody you didn't know anybody because there was no competition.

Is he still in Miami. Yeah. I don't think that Caitlin Clark needs to be. She's let's let her play basketball. Why does people be everyone that doesn't like Caitlin Clark. Doesn't even not like Caitlin Clark. They're just tired of hearing people talk about Caitlin Clark.

Yeah, I think the media is kind of putting a target on her back a little bit. She always just said, she's a little boring and press conferences she's kind of like Ryan Braun and Bronnie was on the broadcast yesterday. W nice transition because they had the rock celebration, the other night. They had Snoop Dogg on Saturday. They had Braun last night. I mean that Brewers.

That Brewers booth right now is killing it. Yeah, I don't think rock made the road trip out west, he's probably getting a little tired but it was BA and Tim Dillard, the Steve Novak of the Brewers. No, no. I think Tim Dillard's pro library. Steve Novak anti library is this a development.

Oh, he there was there were books from the Whitefish Bay Library he was trying to get banned. Oh crap. Yeah.

Well, I don't have much else for you so I can hop off here. When did you first like who is, were you did you grow up in the vast scourging era the Darren Sutton era. Were you always a BA guy. When did you ever 17 years, be it was what like 2007.

Yeah, I would have been nine. So yeah about BA BA and rock have always been there. All right. Okay. Well come good to see you.

Yeah, you too Bart and take care and Austin says it's good to see your face again. I'm still holding out for a Wisconsin championship in one sport. And then the reveal.

Yeah, Brewers maybe. Where, where, where do you keep that bag like where does it just sit. I have, you know, I have a girlfriend so I try to hide it under my dresser.

Because she goes digging through my stuff and sees a paper bag with some cutouts, I'm going to be getting a lot of questions that I. Yeah, you only use that vague for this right. All right, fair enough. I was just at a truck stop this last weekend but I'll leave you with that bar right cone cone roller. Good to see cone coming at you on a Tuesday. My first so Paschke was there the 95 six season, I didn't really remember that oh that I didn't watch the Brewers that I didn't watch baseball from 94 to 98. When they went on strike I quit and then came back when they started mashing taters so I missed that.

So then I would caught vast scourging. And then I when he left I thought oh my god how are they ever going to replace him. Casper did some more power did some work but then Darren Sutton, and he was he was on when I was in college so the buckethead brigade and that was always fun.

But then ba came in on seven right as the younger Brewers were coming up. And I remember, I feel like I remember his first game where he was like, I come over from the golf channel and I'm like five foot three, or something, he made a joke about his height. And he was a rock man together ever since and he was the one that kind of engineered everything to happen on Friday which I caught parts of, I still have it on DVR I want to watch the whole thing and give proper respect to Bill Schroeder rock doing it for 30 years. And he is as good as it get honestly. If you have a local broadcaster you aspire for it to be rock.

You aspire at one time, and one time in the city. There were nights where rock and McLaughlin were working the same nights. What a legend, what a duo Marcus Johnson's great. But man, Jim and john. There's nothing like it if you grow up with them you're like wow this is cool I remember them. If you don't remember them as much or you didn't grow up with them you got to go you got to like actively seek out their games, especially when the bucks would be down nine with two minutes to go.

Stopping to score stopping to score. And then one day. Do you guys remember this one day it actually happened where they like came back from that and johnny Mac was freaking out.

It was awesome. All right, a friend of show Vincent and Anaheim, who has left plenty of voicemails and it's called into the shows throughout a bunch of times, sent some video messages on Twitter last night. He is an A's fan and a Brewers fan, among a few other. So our fun with Vincent is that he always listens to stuff about five months after it happened, and also he likes like all the teams, he I think he's even got three ufl teams, although one might have folded. I do think he likes Birmingham Vincent if I can remember that right. But Vincent sent us a message.

Prior to the game. Because, you know, he's in Anaheim, Vincent in Anaheim. And he was able to go to the game I know he went last night I don't know if he's going to go the full series.

But he was able to go last night. So I present to you his opening message to everyone in the Winkler verse. Hey, what's up man boots on the motherfucking ground what's up to the Winkler verse man I got my brew crew hat on. I gotta represent the angels man, it's fat ass man. It didn't fit my it don't fit me no more but God represent the angels man Brewers angels game one Monday boots on the ground man let's see let's see if any. I saw a couple brew fans already man but I don't keep it real I don't think this game is gonna be that pack. Oh got some group friends right there. See some group fans right there. But like I said man boots on the ground is angel stadium man is Vincent and Anaheim and like I said I root for both teams so I don't care how dumb I look, I still gonna, you know, represent, but I had to represent the hometown you know I do got a brewery Jersey but I had to represent the hometown man so boots on the ground shout out to Bart Winkler Winkler verse, and all the brewer fans out there man walking to Anaheim.

Hey what's up boots on the motherfucking ground what's up. All right, but it's worth a second look that's, that's good. I was trying to look up the attendance here quick to see how many people were there, Ryan Braun was there as we, as you mentioned now he's working in finance, I guess maybe he's too young to retire, or this might be a job where he like doesn't have to do much. That could be it. Like oh, you know, Jefferson and Davis are going to come Jeff are going to come and do the report but you know I'll see if I'll see if our managing editor Ryan Braun considered on this one you remember you remember Ryan Braun MLB MVP, you remember him.

You know Miami star. That might be what it is, or I shouldn't discredit maybe he's like super into numbers. We don't know what he did in the time that he was suspended. We don't know what he was up to we don't know how he was hanging out. Maybe, maybe he got his 10,000 hours in on finance. That could have been the case.

Golf addings yeah m shark good one golf outings. So we think he's just a finance like place mascot is what we think. Do we think he has a desk. How many times a year do we think he sits at that desk or in that office.

These are the questions I need to ask him. I'll get on that. And once again, my plea for the Brewers to retire the number eight.

You can't you can't have any. I know Tim Hall of Fame all that bullshit. But nobody else can wear number eight, we all know it. All right, here's Vincent after the game. Postgame Vinnie. Hey, what's up, man? What's up, man?

Like I said, boots on the ground and you can see. Guess who got that victory? The whole team better OT right here, man. But hey, man, like I said, Brewers fan and angels fan. So all I hope for is offense. I want both teams to hit home runs on both teams. The score wanted to be exciting. And when you're at an angels home game, you want the angels at least score seven runs.

So you get the free chick fillet, man. But that didn't happen. But hey, all the boots on the ground, angels got it done. There was times that the Brewers could have got it done. But those base running blunders getting picked off and all that. But hey, this is day one.

I will be back day two, but I'll probably bring my family. So it's all good, man. But boots on the ground, man. Hey, hey, brew crew, keep your heads up. You'll stay on first place. Angels are still like in second to last place.

So you got a victory. Go brew crew. Go angels. Welcome to Anaheim Brewers fans. And that's it.

Boots on the ground. Winkler first. What's up? God, I love this. I love him. I love Vincent. He rules.

Again, I don't remember how he found us, but I do love him. Look at these standings, by the way. I'll show you the wild card in the NL.

Is this good or is this bad? There's the Brewers sitting at top 42 and 30. OK. And then when you look at everybody else, if you can see. You know what I'll do? I will make it bigger.

That's what she said. The Braves are 39. So there's there's five teams right now that are above 500 in the NL. And then the Giants after they beat the Cubs.

They are 36 and 37. So on one hand, like all these teams here, on one hand, they have to you know, you got to you got to try to make the playoffs. But on the other hand, do you really have to even be good? Who's to say there's not an Arizona Diamondback sitting in the bunch as the Arizona Diamondbacks are sitting in the bunch? I mean, all they have to do. Could you see a team like the Mets who've won six straight since scrimmage throughout the first pitch? Could you see them get in the playoffs and all of a sudden be good? Even our Cubs who do not make this graphic once you enlarge it.

All you got to do is get in. But Council can't manage a bullpen if he doesn't have All-Stars. I think we're finding that out pretty good. Council is so good at managing the pens.

Unrelated topic. The Brewers have had like two of the top five relievers in ERA the last six years. Wonder if those are related. Toby's Nationals, 35 and 36. Padres. Look at these records to be a half game back. Pirates, Diamondbacks. Mets had to win six in a row to be three under and they're one back. The Cubs are five under and they're two back.

I mean, that sucks. So all these teams can make the playoffs for the Brewers. I don't know. Do we want to buy? Do we not want to buy?

You probably still want to buy. So, I don't know, 42 42 and 30 guys is very impressive. What Pat Murphy's doing with an actual like we're starting six through 10. With our starting pitchers. Guys that you're not even that familiar with until like the third inning of a game. You're like, wait, who's our pitcher again?

And bad Freddy. So I don't know how it's happening, but it is happening where the Brewers are 42 and 30. And in first place still by what five and a half games. So pretty good for the Brewers. They got the Angels again this Tuesday night. And then tomorrow another night game.

More night games all week. San Diego. San Diego. Yeah. Should I do United States Copa postgame shows?

Would anybody be down to clown for that? How many times is this guy going to say boots on the ground? Joe. Not enough.

Not enough. He's back. He says Drew holiday winning finals MVP would have been the best thing in the world.

After happy place gummies. I think in previous years he might. We're so like give it to the star now. But in previous years.

I mean, Tatum and Brown being 74 was way too close. I don't know if Doris just gave him that because and Malika too. Did they give it to him because. They just, you know, Doris obviously.

Thanks, Jason. Tatum is the best player of all time and wants to be the soundtrack to his life. But with Malika. She just did an interview with him. So maybe. Maybe she was tempted. Oh, PJ Carlissimo. The fuck. And then Gary Washburn. So seven to four. Drew not getting one or maybe maybe Doris thought I know I know that Brown will win.

But so I'll give mine to Tatum because. I mean, if you want to talk third party voting, where was the holiday party? They should have.

They should have done that. All right, I will bid you adieu. I will have happy place hemp.

The Lakers are expected to hire J.J. Redick. Dumb. I'll just leave it at dumb.

We're dumb, it's dumb, so dumb. This week. Happy place hemp right now. Run there. Literally get out and run in the 90 degree weather. I won't make you do that.

I won't make you sit in 90 degree weather. Anyone that would do that. You got to think.

You got to think of the people. And the national show infinity sports net nine to one. Thank you for stopping into the Winklerverse. I'm going to go watch some euros. I don't even know who is playing. I'm going to go watch Portugal and Czech Republic. All right, let's get down. Got to set a line up quick till next time. Thanks for coming into the Winklerverse.
