I'm Bart Winkler. Whoa!
Okay, a lot more World Series stuff to get into. I'm exhausted in a good way, but so is everybody. I was just at my kid's baseball little fall ball. He had two hits. He stretched out a double, pretty sick.
And we'll talk more World Series probably after the Packer game tonight. I don't think this is going to be a very Packer game post-game show. We'll just talk more World Series, but we'll see what happens. Ryan Horvath's with me as he is for the picks. We are brought to you by the Drive Play the Drive dot com.
Again, you get this set, you get these cards, you get to do. I was just talking to a buddy. I swear to God, he said they did a big parlay last night for the game. And because at like a poker night, and they lost obviously. But wouldn't it be better if while they were playing poker, they were also playing the drive, where you pick a card, and if what happens on the card happens, you get money.
Playthedrive dot com to check it all out. Dan at Playthedrive, I'm going to get in touch with him. I'm going to try to do a drive show where I'm playing the drive during a game. Not tonight. I am dead.
Um, Horvat, how are you? I'm good. I'm also dead because um, I'm like I stayed up to watch you guys for the last week, and like you said, obviously for you guys, um, you're you're watching your team. It's a wild ride. It's the postseason, a lot of ups and downs.
Although for you guys. Like not really. Like we only lost twice. We've lost five times since Labor Day. And if these series, if any of these series win six, right, seven, we'd be dead.
Like I don't think we're as appreciative as we're going to be once in hindsight. Like. These were short series, so the stress was not as much as it could have been. Like when my team won it in 2016 and went to Game Seven, they were down three-one in the series for whatever reason. Like they go down, and LeBron's there, even though he's a Yankee fan and he's cheering for him.
And I hate LeBron, so it felt like torture. But I stayed up to watch you guys and bet the Brewers and. East Coast, man, I like it, especially during the summertime. But the time blows. Like, for example, when Monday, Monday night football, when Thursday night football finally gets underway, it's going to be like eight thirty.
So I'm up until one a.m. watching sports. The twelve inning game. How do you go to bed during that?
So I've slept like shit all week because of sports. It's where I really miss. The Midwest and the Central Time Zone. One hour doesn't seem like a whole lot, but it really is, especially when you're an adult and you're old as shit. It is unbelievable how little people care about this game, and we're sneaking in these picks right before Packers Panthers.
Before I go through the pick, I saw this. I want to play it. It's a minute. This is not real Roger Goodell. It's AI Roger Goodell.
The stats are real. But AI Roger Goodell is here to tell you that tonight's game is going to be rigged in favor of the Carolina Panthers. Here is AI Roger Goodell. The game is already decided. Don't fall for the trap.
I have selected Scott Novak as the head official, and for a very obvious reason. Under Novak, road teams are 39 and 18 against the spread, and when it's a prime time matchup, and even better, 11 and 2, covering 85% of the time. The Panthers are currently getting 36% of bets, and when these teams are getting less than 50%, they're a perfect 7 and 0 against the spread. Oh yeah, and Scott also just hates the Packers. Haven't covered under him in three years.
Sorry, Packers fans. But there's more. Teams off a loss of 20 or more points this season are 13 and 3 against the spread in their next game. And when these teams are on the road, a perfect 9 and 0 covering every single time. And to top it all off, prime time teams this season getting less than 50 of bets are an unbelievable 17 and 4 against the spread.
And as an underdog, 11 and 0. Come on now.
So take the Panthers plus four, and might as well throw some on their money line. While we're at it, drop a like if you're tailing, and give me a follow for more. All right, what do you think about that? Hated every minute of that. Why?
Just like I hate the trends and like all that stuff, and I don't like AI at all. The only thing that's ever come from AI that I like is the tiptoeing in my Jordans. Yeah, that's pretty good, dude. It's great. It's not.
It's not. It's not even real, and and then "Tiptoeing in My Jordans" wasn't even the initial. It was just what took off. I thought it was a real song. No, the Jordans is real.
Oh, that is. People thought that that was from a real movie, like Rumpelstiltskin. Yeah, but there was a different song, and then it got more popular when they did "Tiptoeing in My Jordans" over it. It's tremendous, but I hate AI. The only AI that I like is Allen Iverson, who I do see when I frequent the MGM National Harbor.
He's a little bit of a mess these days, although actually I think he stopped drinking because he has like a book tour. I don't know, but when I saw him, he was rough. Um, what's the line tonight? We're gonna look at Potawatomi with the lines. Yeah.
Let me pull it up, man, because I bet Carolina at four. I hate it, though. I actually, I think Green Bay. But you just got all the advice. I think Green Bay could.
Yeah, I don't care about any of that, though. It's three and a half right now. Green Bay at three and a half point favorite. I bet Carolina at four because I was like, who's gonna want to bet Carolina after they got beat by you know thirty five plus points by Baker Mayfield? Although Baker didn't really have to do a whole lot in that game.
I think he dropped back like eight times. The run defense is horrific, but. Josh Jacobs looks fat and out of shape. We have literally the worst run blocking offensive line in all of pro football, and there is a bunch of injuries. But I don't love Carolina on the road, but I did take them.
I took them as four point dogs. I also took Darren Waller over twenty and a half receiving yards, and I am about to take Chuba Hubbard over sixty eight and a half rushing yards.
So I like those props, but. I'm kind of going back and forth on this one, man. It just—it's hard for me to trust Green Bay right now to win by more than a touchdown. Last time I said that, though, they held Dallas scoreless in the first half. But we'll see.
I think Carolina bounces back and shows a little bit better tonight. I'm gonna go predicted score: Green Bay 24, Carolina 21. Panthers cover for me. At Edward Jones, we believe rich is more than caring about the latest and greatest. It's also taking care of what gives your life meaning.

Z e nni dot com slash podcast. All right, we're gonna the game. We're recording this at like thirty minutes before kick. Yeah, and so we're gonna fly through these picks. Normally, Horvat and I will go about an hour.
We'll do our funny Barton Horvat bits. We'll get sidetracked. Not tonight. If you're on the audio, so the Dan Shayne YouTube stream has me and Horvat. I also last night.
At four in the morning Eastern Time, was laying on a airport floor, and I basically Facetime with Tim Shea live over YouTube to talk about the Brewers.
So this audio episode is going to be me and Horvath doing picks, and then there'll be a cut. And it'll just be me, a very tired sounding me, and Tim. Which the video is already out there, separate videos. But just so you understand what's going on, if that turns into this, but for this, for the picks, if you love the picks, you're getting them. If you love the Barton Horvat banter, well, we're back next week.
Just stupid fucking game tonight, which I just don't care about. I do think the Packers win. I like Bryce Young. I like the Panthers. I think the Packers win.
I probably would go twenty three to seventeen.
So I guess I'm taking in the cover. I don't think there's going to be a lot of scoring tonight. Yeah, I just over under probably forty five or some shit like it always is. It's it's forty seven and a half.
Somebody just bet the over. I I I if I had to bet it weirdly, you know, I would actually bet the under man, but I took. Carolina's team total over twenty and a half. It's twenty one and a half, so I want to touch that anymore. I like the props a little bit more.
I like Hubbard and I like Waller tonight against the Green Bay defense. Amos says we should care about this game tonight. I mean, I do, but I also I don't care about the Packers anymore. The Brewers are my favorite team. I love you guys.
I cared for your team.
Now I hate you guys again since the season's over.
So I don't even like the Brewers. I'm all locked in on this game. I can't wait.
Okay. All right.
Now let's essentially plow through the rest of this nonsense. Yeah, let's do it. Let's. Yeah, because I don't even really love the slate this week. We'll be quick here.
Oh, we don't have an international game, which is great. Wait, is this week? Is this week daylight saving? You know, I was gonna ask you that before we started, man. Because last night I drove home at 6 p.m.
and it was like light out until I got home at like 7:30 tonight. It's it's got dark really early. Maybe it is. I have no idea. The fact that you guys were in the same radio station, from my understanding, and they couldn't make something out of that is beyond comprehension.
How the fuck? Thank you, Forrest. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. No.
Well, you see, big feelings get in the way of big business. True.
Okay. Um. Yes, it is this weekend.
So the whole state here needs sleep. We're getting that, and then we can just lay on our ass and watch shitty football. Yeah, because Saturday's Halloween. Halloween. There you go.
Can I tell you what I'm going as? No, not um. You did, but I don't remember. Tell me again.
So my kids, Cena, and I'm Edge. You're Edge, which I find. Kind of funny because Edge is in AEW now, and I—I know, but Edge is—I got the jacket, I got the pants, I got my beard, which I might even dye blonde. I saw some kid tonight. There's this kid that, like, his dad listens to my podcast, and so every time I, every time I see him, I've had the same conversation with him ten times in a row.
Oh, I got a wig for that. He goes, he goes, you always say fuck, and I'm like. We gotta progress past this, and then he goes, "You look better with your hat on." I'm like, "What is this? Is this a fucking roast?" But the roast, he's right. We should do that in Milwaukee.
We should do that actually in Paragon Room, Club Paragon, Paragon Club. All right, there, there you go, little Bart Howard banter. Picks. All right, so the Jets are at home. They're one and a half point favorites over the Raiders.
The total in the game went from forty and a half all the way up to forty five and a half. And I'll be quick here. I bet the Jets. This is going to be a random weekend where the Jets light is on. I think Aaron Glenn is an idiot.
I don't think Geno Smith is very good, but I know for a fact the Raiders aren't good. They fooled people. They started three and zero. I told you. I do think that we're going to get Mendoza before we.
Twelve, and we're pressing against it here in week eight. I like the Jets at home. I think the Jets are going to win too many games. Like, I can see the Jets sneaking away and winning like five or six, and that might save Aaron Glenn's job. He's got to go.
He's he's not an NFL head coach. I don't even think he's a defensive coordinator, to be honest with you, man. But I do like the Jets against the Raiders. One and a half point favorites. Um, it's going to be sunny.
I'm going to take the Jets too. Did you see that stat that like it's rained at 40 percent of Jets games in the last decade? I did see that. Was it 40 percent though?
Something like that. Insane. I'll take the Jets just because I think the Raiders. The Raiders are the Maryland of the NFL. They have a good first month of the season, and then they disappear and fire their coach in Week Six.
Actually, glad that you brought up Maryland because I don't like a whole lot in college football this weekend, and I only bet one game, and it's the Terps two and a half. They fired the coach. Illinois won two straight games. They just beat the corpse of Oregon, so people are feeling good. I think the Terps win that game outright.
I might even go. We'll see. Tampa Bay at home. I was in Maryland today. I I know I wanted to come visit you, but it's like that airport is kind of like a bitch to get to.
Were you were you at BWI? I don't know. Dole's Dole's. What's the other one? Dole's I think is that's DC.
Isn't that DC? Yeah, that is DC. Actually, I live in Bethesda.
So I'm like on the cups. I can't speak. Nah, I was at I was at. There was a sign that said. Um, flight paths and football—that's what Maryland does.
Flight path, isn't that a movie with Jodie Foster? Or was that Flight Plan? I think that was—I think that was John Hinckley trying to murder John Lennon. Tampa looked really good last week. Baker didn't even have to do anything, and they scored 43 points.
Bucky Irving's been on a tear. I like Atlanta at home. I don't trust Michael Penix or his left arm on the road here. Give me Tampa. It's two and a half.
I bet the money line. I wouldn't play with the two and a half because I could see this being like a twenty-eight, twenty-seven game. I do think Tampa wins, though. I think Tampa wins. Dot dot dot.
This game. Dot dot dot. And the division. Me too, kinda.
So put some. That that would be a that'd be a bet to make. And that's like a thing where if I'm a Tampa fan, I mean, you always want your team in the playoffs, but I would probably like not because you're not going to win a playoff game, and you also have an idiot for a head coach who continues to survive off the past. You got to get rid of him.
So if I'm a Buck fan, I'm probably cheering against them. But I agree. I think that with Baker back, they probably do win that division. They have the most talented. I wouldn't say the most talented team, but Yeah, by default.
I like Tampa too. I'm gonna take Tampa. The other thing about Tampa that people may have forgotten hashtag People Forget is that the Brewers just won the World Series there last night. What did you think really about that ballpark? I love it.
So I love the ballpark, but I hate like there's that neighborhood sucks. It's like a really I know it's right off the highway, but well, because all there is is this Fergs and that it's like one sports bar. Right, there's like nothing to do. Like you go to a game in Milwaukee, you have a bunch of fun. I know you guys hate the Cubs and you hate Wrigley Field, but the surrounding neighborhood.
No, we. I love Wrigley, bro. Thank you. I know a lot of people say it smells like piss. I do agree with that, but I like Wrigley.
I can't wait for this game. The Bills were three and a half point favorites. It looks like Lamar's most likely gonna play. He practiced today. I love the Ravens.
I think not only do the Ravens cover. I think they win this game, and then I think they're going to beat Jacksonville. I think they're going to go on a little run, and I want them to because I love Lamar. The problem for them right now is their defense. Their secondary is horrendous.
Marlon Humphrey is a shell of himself and probably needs to be benched. Kyle Hamilton, I love him. Shout out Notre Dame, even though you guys lost to a quarterback named Bear who wears number forty-seven, fucking punter number. But I do think the Ravens bounce back because nobody's going to want to bet them. I still, I'm not there with Buffalo, man.
And Josh Allen's my favorite quarterback in the league, but I just don't trust that defense as the season wears on.
So, give me the Ravens here, at least to cover. I'm gonna still ride the Bills, although the Bills-Ravens feels like an inverse of Chiefs-Bills, where the Ravens win in the regular season and the Bills win in the playoffs. How is this not in prime time? Why is this at noon? Right, I mean that's what Orlovsky was tweeting about, and I was like, "When do you want them to have the games, Dan?" Just because, like, I like shitting on Dan.
The Sunday night game is two and five, or one four and one. I know, and then look at the other four twenty five game too. Like, that's why I am saying we could actually just blow through these picks. I mean, you got Kansas City, Dennis, Tennessee. I am just making up states now.
Kansas City, Denver, but the other game, man, is New England in Miami. Yeah, I'm. I'm taking the Bills. Dude, Forrest Jones says every time I see Bear wearing number forty-seven, I want BYU to lose by thirty-five. I couldn't agree more.
I hated that in high school. Like when you would play a team and like the quarterback were like fifty-two. Get a fucking quarterback number, man. Um, I don't. You only get away with that in fucking Utah.
Yeah, I also feel like my theory on kickers like Trey Smack is if you wear a number, you have to be able to kick a field goal less yardage than every like you can't wear twenty eight and miss twenty six yard field goals is what I'm trying to say. I get like I suck as a human because I care because like I care for the Cubs and the Packers, but I almost I'm like kind of pissed that the Brewers were on this run because I feel like people weren't angry enough. About Trey Smack, I honestly wouldn't even want him cut. I kind of want his leg to be chopped off at the fifty-yard line. I want to say there's like a number out there that this year there's only been three kicks missed inside like thirty-nine yards, and he he was two of them.
I believe that. weren't you guys all in love with him? Remember that? No, yeah, because he had a five-for-five preseason game, and everyone's like. I don't know.
I had to tell like like my mom sometimes. He looks like Charlie Barons. Like like the Jordan Love, and I love Jordan Love now. But like, there's a lot of people that sometimes call me like a Packers hater. It's only because I wore the pom poms for three straight decades, and they broke my heart every year minus two.
And here's my issue: like, if they just lost every year to the better team, or we like lost in a great game, I'm fine with that. But we lose, and I'm a we guy every fucking year. Because of the same bullshit, the special teams, dude. We got a Brandon Bostic. Just don't go brain dead for 35 seconds and jump in front of Jordy Nelson.
You go to the Super Bowl. You beat the Patriots, right? The San Francisco game. At Lambeau, one of Rodgers' last playoff games. It's ten degrees out.
Did the San Francisco Forty Nineers score an offensive touchdown? I don't even remember, but I know they blocked a fucking punt and a kick in the same game. Every year, the special teams cost the Packers. Every year, it's like, and what do you do? You change coordinators every five years.
You got to get, you got to evaluate better talent. To play on special teams, the Super Bowl winning teams put their good players or good players on special teams every year. You trot out some fucking bum kicker, some idiot up front on the hands team, and I'm sick of it. I want to just like lose to the better team for one year, not lose because of special teams. This shit, you know.
It's just annoying to me, and it was really annoying last week. But I was like, I know you guys don't care because of the Brewers, but like this team should be a lot better. This Packers team because they have talent, but the head coach is a little bit of a puss. They don't have a very good offensive line, which you're not going to win in the National Football League if you can't run block. Like if you look at like the nerd numbers, even if like I mean these running backs, man, sure you got to make somebody miss, but as soon as they get the handoff, they're getting killed.
The yards before contact, they're thirty-first, I believe, in in the National Football League. Anyway, we're not even talking about the Packers, but it just it's annoying to me. Trey Smack sucks. Who you taking, the Ravens or the Bills? I'm going with the Bills.
Also, let's let's go faster.
Okay, yeah, let's do it. All right, Detroit. I love against Minnesota. Minnesota frauds. Problem is, all the smart people do.
So now we're not getting a three anymore. We're getting a three and a half. I bet the Lions money line minus one seventy. I'm sticking by my preseason hype. I think they're getting healthier on the defensive side of the ball.
Minnesota sucks. They lose this weekend in Detroit in the Big D. Is Amundson St. Brown open on every fucking route? Do people just not cover him?
It's always like he catches the ball, and then there's four people that swarm him, but they're all 15 yards off of him. I mean, it helps that they got Jamison Williams and like Sam Laporta and Jameer Gibbs on the other side. You know, it'd help if like the Packers could put somebody on the other side other than like Savion fucking Williams. I'm taking the Lions. Me too.
Me too. All right, Dallas is at home. Your Cowboys—they're seven-point favorites over Arizona. I feel like everybody's going to say too many points, and it's not going to be like I—I. Dallas wins this game by ten.
Uh, yeah, I agree with that. They'll be back to five hundred. Things will start to turn around for the Cowboys. That'll put them at four and four, which is fifty percent. Fifty percent is out of a hundred.
If Dan Arlovsky, second shout out to him, does not know, just like twenty five percent off is out of a hundred, like twenty five percent off that you can get at HappyPlaceHemp dot com, and don't forget you can get ten percent off of your next party at First and Bowl with promo code Bart for each at First and Bowl dot com. Ah, definitely. Yeah, Mdk makes a really good point in the comments that I would throw out there too. Like I would play Lions futures or Packers futures right now, and I would look at like an updated win total if you could, and try to fade Minnesota because their schedule is about to get tough and they're they're frauds. I mean, Kyler is the defense is good, and I think Flores might even get a head coaching gig.
All right, Rapid, my second favorite team, the Steelers, three and a half point favorites over the Browns. The Browns are five and two. They're the biggest frauds in the National Football League. I want to say their point differential is like. Minus twenty one.
They're minus in the point differential, yet they got a winning record. Party at Deshawn's. Not in my eyes, baby. Rogers by ten. Yeah, like the Steelers here.
I know Steelers fans have been like bitching all week that not a lot of the country gets this one because we're getting Bills, Ravens. Um, my counterpoint to that is, who gives a shit? Yeah. So I'm gonna take the Steelers. All right, these games all suck.
The Jags are ten point favorites because the Colts are trading away everybody. Jonathan Taylor's wife is even like going on social media, like "fuck this place." I still feel like ten points is too many, but if I had to bet the game, it would be Jacksonville or nothing.
So Jags for me. I like the Jags to win by eight or nine, so I will take the Colts to cover. Right? I feel like they're going to cover, and they have like nobody on the team. Maybe even a little backdoor situation, but like a, but like um, the Colts kick a field goal.
On fourth down, when they're down like 12, and then everyone's like, "Wait a minute, what the fuck is going on here?" kind of thing. Yeah, Cincinnati's an 11 and a half point favorite over Tennessee, who just kind of fucked us by trading away the best defensive tackle in football at 29 years old to the Bears. They give up a lot, but so did we for Micah. At least Micah, younger and a better player, but now he's dead. I like the Bengals.
The role here, it looks like Jamar Chase is going to be back. He was at practice today. Bengals need to figure out a way to run the ball, or trade for Saquon or Jonathan Taylor, but they're not going to need to get that going against Tennessee. They roll. Updated Titans theory: they're bad.
Pick against them every week. I'm going with the Bengals. The Rams are at home. They're six and a half point favorites over the Chargers. I am going to bet this game, but I'm waiting for it to go back to seven or seven and a half.
I think the Chargers are going to get that first win against the Rams, and then I'm going to tweet out all the cool stuff that I said about how the Rams were going to blow this year when everybody else was picking them to go undefeated. I did also pick though the Chargers to to make a run to the Super Bowl, and they might not win a game. They cover, maybe even win. Chargers plus six and a half. And the battle for Los Angeles.
Great movie. I'll take the Chargers to at least cover. I don't know if they win. I do know that a lot of times when these two teams play at home, the opposing fans do invade.
So I think you can expect in this game now it's their both their home stadium. I think you can expect at least fifty percent Brewers fans to make the trip to Chargers Rams. Zero percent chance. I'm laying seven on the road, even in Miami, divisional game. Everybody always plays like shit in Miami because you probably go out the night before.
And my boy Malik looked pretty good last week. Give me the Dolphins to cover the seven against the Patriots. No, I gotta take New England there.
So, I bet Denver earlier this week, dude, and then I bet Kansas City three times because I was like, wait a minute, Mahomes looks so bad. He looked like washed, and you could say he's got nobody to throw the ball to, but he's like throwing the ball in the dirt. But still, Bo Nix fucking sucks.
So I'm going to take the Chiefs to win this game. They're one and a half point favorites. I can't take Bo Nix over Pat Mahomes ever. I can't. Bo Nix good or what's the deal?
No, he's awful. And I hate Sean Payton. I think honestly, like other than the Bears, the Lions, and the Vikings. I think I hate the Broncos more than any team, and I think I always—I do too. It ruined my childhood, dude.
I, yeah, man, that fucking that Terrell Davis. I hate Terrell Davis. I hate Elway. He looks like a horse. He actually does.
He's the first person that that was ever modeled. The logo was modeled after his face. Do we hate the Broncos enough? Four one four seven nine nine twelve fifty. I like the Chiefs here.
Yeah, good call. I had a point to make, and I completely spaced on it. He had a long week, man. The Brewers are champs. Who gives a shit?
I was just in Tampa for twenty-eight hours. Not even. How long was I actually in St. Pete for? I was in St.
Petersburg for fifteen hours. That's insane. I know. That's insane. This is my last like.
College type all nighter thing I'll ever do. I'm done. It's tough. I save it for twice a year goosebumps, which Atlantic City this year. Have you thought of your point, or you want to roll off these two shitty games?
I didn't even have a point. I just say that I did because I had nothing on the game, and I wanted to contribute. I wish Halloween was on Sunday because then, like trick or treating, this would be perfect, man. The Commanders are six point favorites over the Eagles. No, see, we still trick or treating the day.
We go night here. I've never lived in a place that did it at night. Really? Yeah. When I grew up in Fondulac, we trick or treated during the day because some girl got murdered in the seventies.
Jesus, sounds like a goosebumps episode. Viewer beware, you're in for a scare. No, it was a it was a real murder. Jesus, but then, but then even like Milwaukee trick or treats at night, but Shorewood is in the day. It's weird.
So we can double dip because I live right next to Milwaukee. It's like weird here because it's like the summer out. It's like seventy-five degrees. It's I remember Halloween like freezing my sack off. Like you couldn't.
You had to wear like a like a snowsuit under your costume sometimes. Not really, but like a sweatshirt. Anyway, the Commanders are six-point favorites over the Eagles. Everybody's going to think Jalen's out. I think the T here is no shot in hell.
I am laying six with the Commanders. Eagles plus six. Tanner McKee. Oh, my point was: is it a wrap on Oregon quarterbacks? I don't know about Oregon quarterbacks.
I think it's. I don't think Dan Lanning. Like, I think Dan Lanning's overrated. Isn't he your favorite coach in all of college? Me, no.
I like Signetti. Yeah, but you've always liked Lanning. I, you know, I did. I was wrong though. He could recruit.
He's like James Franklin, where he's always got these awesome recruiting. Like, what's the? I feel like we don't hate on Dan Landing enough. You know, everybody's always like Big Game James and shits on James Franklin, and rightfully so. What's the big game that Lanning's won?
He got panned by Kalen DeBoer, the the Washington run. Last year, he gets panned by Ohio State. Like what big game has he ever won? I think Landing sucks, and I think Dante Moore cost himself a bunch of money going back to school. Always, I'm gonna take the Eagles.
I'm gonna take the Eagles. We'll do Monday. I got one Packer note before the game, and then we'll dip. All right, Monday. I'm going to take the Bears to cover the three.
I just I love the move for Seattle going out and getting Nelson, and I eventually think they can make a run to the Super Bowl once they get Price and Charbonnet back healthy. But right now they can't run the ball, and why that matters is if they can't run the ball, they become one dimensional. Meaning, if you drop Sam Darnold back 35 times a game, sure he's going to throw 26 nice passes, 15 of them to JSN, but there's going to be six or seven moments in that game where he goes completely brain dead. And I think the Bears six. Seven, I think the Bears are going to be extra motivated because they just got the best defensive tackle, or one of them in football.
Bears cover three. I would normally take Seattle, but I made a good point. It does sort of feel like the Bears.
Sometimes there's those Monday night games where the opposing team comes in and just quiets the crowd. Bears are going all in. Like that's what you got to do because like they're going to have to pay Caleb a bunch of money, and I don't think Caleb's good enough to carry a franchise. But I think Caleb's good enough to take like a really good. You know, they don't have to have a dominant defense.
They just have to have a decent defense because their offense is so good. They could win in shootout fashion. They're going to scare me. Lions are going to. Yeah, we might be fucked this year.
We really need Micah back. We will have a post game tonight, brought to you by First and Bull after Packers Panthers. But if you would rather talk the World Series, I don't care. The Packard note I want to share is just like we get crazy about what the Brewers lineup is going to be that day. That's what we do for the Packers when it comes to their offensive line.
Apparently, in warmups, they're going Jordan Morgan left tackle, Aaron Banks at left guard, John Williams will compose the offense from the center position. John Reddick there. Lake and Tomlinson is moving to right guard. Anthony Belton right tackle. No Zeitler yet.
I'm gonna take the Panthers to cover. I changed my mind. They might fucking win this game. That offensive line is, dude. That offensive line is horrendous.
John, the Lord is making up the Creighton players during the season now. In fact, I'm gonna do my $20 DraftKings pick'em thing, and I'm gonna captain the Panthers' defense. How about that? If I'm pissed off enough, I'll probably jump on post game. I'm gonna go get on my couch for this game, though.
I like to watch the intro. I'm gonna use. I'm gonna use this Packer game's gonna be on the background while I catch up on everything I've missed over the last three days.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Yo, man, you're getting shady. And it matter, matter, get, get. Come on, how join me?
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
I also, if if we have time on the post game show, and I jump on, I want to talk about how I'm sick of the hillbillyfication of America. What if I want to watch college football, but I don't like fucking country? And it's I like some country, like I like Sturgill Simpson, right? I love I like like outlaw country. This top country shit though, like I'm so sick of it, like McAfee Nation.
Panthers are wearing all white gear, and it's all SEC, SEC, SEC, SEC. When's the last time the SEC won a national title? And how about my Badgers? I had people on like Instagram and shit or TikTok like calling me out because I predicted I have the Badgers win total over, and I took a stab on them to make the playoff. How about my boy fucking Luke Fickle now though, baby?
Woo! I'm going to watch the game.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Someone pour me a double shot of whiskey.
Someone pour. We just moved into our new house, and I didn't realize just how close we were to the neighbors. That's when my friend told me about blinds.com. Because I asked you to. I don't know. All right, Tim's in bed. I'm at the airport. I'm on the floor because you can do that in the morning.
See, people starting to gather there in the airport. Are you gonna like gonna have like a World Series gathering here in the airport? A World Series what gathering? Like. How do we?
Can we welcome you back to the airport? Why does everything need to be a gathering, dude? Because just does. How do I look? Um, you look okay.
I look okay. No, you look like shit. I can't see the comments, huh? The people are already commenting. Who's still up, Shep?
Why are you awake? Ah, because. No, why Shep awake? It's four o'clock. You don't know.
My flight leaves in an hour. I'm gonna. As soon as I get on that plane, I'm going nine eight.
Okay, but I, God, if I could be at the airport when you get back to welcome you back, like. You wanna welcome me back to the airport? You back? You wanna welcome me back? Yeah.
Uh, yeah, I'll be in around ten thirty. Ten thirty. Where's your uh? Where's your stop? Baltimore.
Ugh. What's good sleeping time? What? Hold on. What?
What if you can't get back tonight, tomorrow? What the fuck are you talking about? Like, like, what if it's delayed? It's raining here. It's raining.
There is. You know, you think of planes ever landing? And dude, I'm like, this is the latest I've stayed up continuous since I was 20. I guess we're all still awake, huh? Yeah, everybody's still awake.
Are they gonna cancel school Friday? I've heard rumors. Maybe. Why don't they cancel it today? Because everyone just gotta go through the motions.
Why? I don't know. Are you okay?
Now I know I don't have a real job, according to people, but I have to do picks with Horvat today and a Packer post game. Oh, the Packer post game show is going to be wet. And then Saturday, I have to coach, and then it's trick or treat. What? Hold on, are you doing a parade show?
Oh no, no. For sure, no, or can we like set up on like just Wisconsin somewhere? Starts on Fourth in Wisconsin. I don't like this road. You don't like this?
What? Blue Mound to the stadium, easy. I right? Yeah. How many people can fit in that amphitheater?
Five thousand. Yeah. Why are the Brewers trying to like make tickets so scarce? Wait, can we get a ticket? I guess you have to buy them.
When? There's a presale tomorrow, I'm told for season seat holders. Probably because like those fuckers don't get enough. Hey hey hey, I'm a season seat holder. You be yeah, and you get the chance to sell watch party tickets for seven hundred dollars.
You you watch bitches, you watch yourself. And who's talking? What? I don't know what this is. No, I'm not hammered.
I don't drink anymore. I know that's the problem. I'm hammered. I have to go to work in four hours. Bard is very sober and laying on the airport floor.
You know what's funny I've noticed is, uh, like I don't act that much different sober and drunk. Yeah. People think I drunk tweet. Nope, those are all sober. I was up at two last.
Yeah, I didn't. I didn't sleep last night. None of us did. I know. What if there was a game five?
Would you or we got six? Would you just like six? I know. I don't think I'd watch. Did that cross your mind once when they scored the first run?
Huh? Did that even cross your mind when they scored the first run? The Rays? Yeah, like in the ninth.
Well, people started texting me congrats in the seventh, and I was like, "What the fuck?" I texted you congrats this morning. Did the Brewers? Did they even try at the plate the last three innings? And they just want to get back on defense. Over.
Yeah. Once it was four nothing, you knew it was over. We all. I wanted one more run because they could have still hit a grand slam to tie. I know.
I'm sorry. Look at that! Do you see that giant swordfish? I'm sorry. I'm reading the comments.
What the fuck is this? You want to do some shakeaways? Yeah. All right, hold on. Let me find them.
I don't know what I'm gonna say. It's all different on my phone. I don't know how to do this. Should I should I even do baseball? Like, should I be like the Badgers are gonna win this weekend?
What if what's going on? Shakeaways. Oh, I don't hear anything. Is there music? Yeah.
Oh, I don't hear. All right, just do them. All right, Shakeaway number one. William Contreras named the MVP, one hundred and twenty-five percent. Did I was?
Did you hear the crowd started to go "coo"? Oh my god! I was afraid they were going to name like Cooper MVP or Ashby. Did you hear when Burkhart goes? Um, he goes, and the MVP is, and people go "coo." Yeah.
And then he turns around like a game show host. I think Grant noticed that the other day, and he's he's like, "It's you." He's basically like, "William Contreras, come on down, come on down. You're the next MVP." Shake away number two. Shame on you, Tampa Bay Rays scoreboard staff. Last night you caught that.
Yeah, yeah, champions. Yeah. Well, now we got to see the real one, and it was still the same one from last night. I thought maybe they change it a little bit, you know. But, dude, the Tampa Bay ushers.
Oh yeah, yeah. Did they let? Oh, go ahead. Yeah, they, they like, they just are there to stand. They don't even talk.
You mentioned like a lot of a lot of Brewer fans here today. What do you think about that? No, they're like zombies. They don't. They're like NPCs.
They don't speak. Yeah. Also, what the fuck's up with that mound? The I thought I thought we were gonna get ground screw every half inning up there at one point. Yeah, I thought Miz was gonna be real picky about it.
No, he started to. Do you have another shake away? Is he okay? Like, will he be ready to go for opening day next year? When in August?
No, no, no. Sixty games. Um, so let's see: April, May, June twenty third. What did Jeff Passan tweet? He was like, "Have yourself a night, Wolfski's.
Fuck you." You can't just name one thing you've heard of and pretend like you give a shit. All right, so we got some benchmarks.
So we got a parade on Friday, we got a ring ceremony and a banner ceremony. Oh, next year, yeah, and oh, getting a banner. Hey, also, good friend of the show, Luis. By the way, from Patagonia. We get gold uniforms for opening day next year.
Oh shit, those are gonna fucking be another moneymaker. Gold uniforms. Oh my god. I know. Like this, it just keep spending the money.
Gold uniforms. Ugh. All right.
Well. What else?
Well, now I like your company. I, I, it's been fun so far. I'm actually, I'm actually giving something to the show. Yeah, just thinking the Brewers winning a championship at 4 a.m. to do it.
Uh, dude, East Coast blows. Yeah. Central Coast is the best coast. Central Coast. Who calls the Central Coast?
My friend brought her kid to this thing, and he's like eight, and he's up so late, dude. All right, hang the banner from the beam on the roof at the Padres. That's. Oh, by the way, I saw Corey tonight. Yeah, where?
At Kelly's bleachers. We took a picture. I'll send it to you.
So we're getting a banner.
Well, no, like I mean, they just can't paint it on the on the press box wall, right? I think it's time to paint over twenty twenty. That was our year before today. Does this make you more of a Brewers fan, or like, is it? What I mean is, does this make you more engaged, or are you gonna be less engaged?
No, I'll be more. I mean. Are you gonna watch every night, like, because we don't have to win anymore? We did. No, I.
I mean, I. I yeah. I like I like baseball. I'm a baseball guy. Yeah.
So I think I'll be more. When I was talking to Carl, shut out Carl's place. He gave me a ride to the airport. Sick. God bless him.
Um. Yeah, I didn't have to Uber at all because Milwaukee Ubers to the airport this morning were a hundred dollars. Jesus.
So I drove. Why didn't you call me? I drove, and then my friend gave me a ride, and then Carl gave me a ride. He said, like he just likes watching baseball and getting a championship, but he just didn't even think it was a possibility, so he never thought about it. But I, you know what I said?
I said this on twelve, and I said this tonight. I, and maybe it's always been this way, but. I think the Brewers are my favorite team. They, yeah. Oh, one hundred.
It's not even no. It's yeah. They are. Like I harbor some dislike towards the Packers. There's, there's a part of me that just thinks they get away with too much shit.
Can the state want? Can the state go on a run now? Can we get the Packers maybe to win a Super Bowl here? All groined up, am I? I'm.
I am pretty groined up, but I'm pretty groined down also because how tired I am. But everyone's tired. You guys are all. What the fact that there's one person up right now is insane. When you're in Baltimore, can you get me something?
I was thinking about because I that that green hat I wear. Yeah. Retired. I yeah. Can we frame all our stuff from tonight?
Like the shit that I wore, the shit that you wore, Wagner wore. I got to. I don't even feel like I'm a part of the team because I'm wearing a different Milwaukee shirt. I know. Like your like your shirt, by the way.
I yeah. Lundy gave it to me. Sick. How's he celebrating tonight? I don't know.
Is that I hear a voice? Huh? Your flight? No.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are now boarding flight 472. Oh, I'm not even at the right gate. What was I going to say? I had something real to say. Oh, Lundy shirt.
Oh yeah, my hat's my hat's cooked. Where is it? In the bag. There's sweat marks all over it.
So I thought because I want a hat still.
So if I'm going to Baltimore, I thought about buying a Orioles hat. Because people do forget that the Orioles were the Brewers in 1903. Right? Yeah. What is something that I didn't see that I have to see?
I saw Murphy tell Bowers. Shut the fuck up.
Sorry, your flight is delayed. Bart stuck in Tampa. Oh, and I went to the hotel to shower. Hey, I got somewhere. If if you are honestly stuck there, I got somewhere for you to stay.
Don't. Why do you keep saying that? What are you talking about? I just, you know, like I don't know. How cool it would be if, like, you are stuck somewhere, and then you can't fly until Friday, and then you just fly over the parade.
That would fucking solve, dude. You could be live in chopper four, or twelve, chopper twelve. I want to be in my bed for the parade. No, like, I want to snap my fingers, which I can't do, and be. We get you on the helicopter for the parade, actually.
I will never ever go on a helicopter. Damn it! Live from Chopper 12. Here's Bart Winkler. By the way, good job on Channel 12 today.
I did crush it on 12. I know. I'm. I need the video. That was.
I did do a good hit. Can they hire you? Yeah. What is my what? Hire me?
I'm on that station three times a week. I'm sure you'll be on there tomorrow when our Packers play. They were trying to get me on at after, but everyone was on the field. I can't go on the field, and I had already left the building. Yeah, did you stay at least for like ceremonies?
Oh yeah, I didn't start until after. Yeah, I did. This I watched the ceremonies, and then we watched. Just like people leaving the field and stuff. Yeah.
Um, and then we, and then we left. Dude, I can't believe it. Yeah, there was no way I was gonna come down here and they were gonna fucking lose. No way. Once I scored the first run, I said this game's over.
Last night's podcast. I'm gonna delete. No, just have it out there for receipts because Wagner was kind of right. Like all those fuckers that said, "Yeah, sorry, no, I'm good." I'm Tim. I'm boarding group eight, bro.
All right, all those fuckers that were like doom and gloom. Wagner's right. Can you believe I'm saying that? Wagner is right. Who will be the drunkest brewer?
Irie. Did you see that tequila they were drinking? No.
I saw Miguel say, "Tell Chicago to shut up." Yeah, he. Where's council tonight? Should I go to Whitefish Bay tomorrow and camp out? Yeah. Do you know where he lives?
I do. I'm gonna slash his tires. Stop. No.
You know what we should do? You know what we should do? No.
So. I'm serious. I'm fucking serious. We should get. We should get like the biggest, you know, in like elementary school sign, like "Good luck Brewers." In the I know where the yes, like when you are going to homecoming, we should TP his house and put the the the bag or the the the paper over his front door and say "Congratulations, Brewers." Have a bunch of kids sign it.
I'll bring it to the parade. I'll get a big parade. I'll get a big. I'll get a big card and take it to the parade and people sign it. Thank you, Craig.
It's funny because we hate him and he laughed. No.
Uh. Why is everyone? All right, too many people are talking. Yeah, yeah. The airport's starting to pick up.
I already tell. Gonna run out of overhead bin space. Anyone interested? That guy's calm. There's a lot of people, like hammered here.
Someone's got on. What? Anthony's gotta take a shit so bad. Who does? Andy Budds wants us to Agus' house.
We can't Agus' house. I'm I'm in Tampa, and I'm I'm in the Tampa airport. What concourse are you in? What the fuck? Who cares?
Someone's trying to probably meet up with you right now. That's how Carl found me. He was watching the show. I was Fergs or Fergies or whatever it's called. That place sucks.
There's nowhere else to go. I know we're done with it. And I'm so sick of that shit too. Oh, they drink all our beer. Yeah, great.
You know, as a present non-drinker, those kind of stories don't do it for me anymore. We won the World Series. We won the World Series. What? I think you should call him Tim.
I think he's still on. No.
I love Tim. Thanks. I'll call Tim. I'll call Tim privately. I know.
Those airwaves do not deserve this voice. You're right. All right.
Anything else? Anti-Anza's not open, but Starbucks is. Get me a coffee. I'm gonna need about four of them tomorrow. I'm gonna get on this plane.
I still haven't watched Vision Quest. Oh, here you go. Here you go, Adam. Adam, do not delete last night's podcast. Quite the opposite.
Keep it forever. The sub smelled commentary of minutes fifty to fifty four legendary. Yeah, dude, it was bad. Yes, Milwaukee bars are still open. By the way, they are.
Yeah, I left and it was still hopping. Did like the mayor say that or what? I don't think anyone set the rule. I think bars are setting the rule themselves. How's the tavern league feel about that?
Some guy was by started ripping a cigar. That was sick.
So we got what else? Here's here's the rest of the week. Tomorrow, Packers and Panthers. We got a parade on Friday, Badgers, Iowa. Am I taking a vacation to Iowa?
Is that at eleven? Yeah, big news. Big Saturday morning. We're not. We're not USC.
And then Sunday is the day for sleep for this city. Oh yeah.
Well, and and Saturday's Halloween. Yeah. Oh, yes.
So I have to go trick or treating. I love how you say Halloween. It's Halloween. I know. I.
You know what, Tim? I know. We've had this conversation before. And it's not. It's not Brewers.
It's World Series champion Brewers. Thank you. You feel a little anticlimatic about what?
Well, now we won.
Now what? I know. I so I was on Timmy's show earlier, and he's like, "Yeah, we didn't want this to end, but we wanted it to end." But you're kind of right. I I like, and at one point, you're like, "Can we just start this World Series?" But now we get to buy all the gear. I want a sweatshirt.
I want a hat. I want a shirt. Don't say that. I want pants. I want shoes.
I want everything. Uh. You know what I enjoyed about tonight? Yes. Nobody that I hate got in my way.
Yep. Exactly. I didn't see anyone that I hate. Shitty, dumb tweets. I did not see Chuck.
No, I didn't. I I did try to hover around the press area for a little bit, but that's the one place where they did have people. But you probably saw everyone that you liked. What did you watch? Did you see my live, my first one?
Well, no, kind of. We had we had Steph Sutton in the verse. We had. Shout him, Derek, in the verse. We had Ted Perry in the verse.
We had Bill Walsh in the verse. Did you invite them all on?
Well, they were—they're all in a row, so I went and just said hi to each of them. Oh, I got you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Tim Crispy, who's dressed like Ashby, dude. Yeah, he's people thought it was fucking Ashby.
Walking around two hours before the game. This is stupid, dude. I'm not. We're doing time for 25 minutes. Yeah.
All right, guys. If you're on this Baltimore flight, catch we've got a completely full flight.
So 700 series.
So we have small aircraft bins on this flight.
So guys, we're looking for volunteers. We need about. Eight, six, six to eight more bags to ensure we don't run out of overhead bin space. You have one of those roller bags, large bag for the overhead. We're looking for some volunteers to check those in.
I only have one sack, and I'm coming back with less than I brought down because the stuff I wore on the plane I just threw away. The shirt was a dunk. The underwear gone. The socks gone. Yeah.
I should have brought a different pair of shorts. Oh no, I did not take an airport sink shower.
So, when Carl gave me a ride, I go. I go, Carl. Actually, my hotel's on the way. Um. I go.
I I would like to take a shower. If you'd also like to take one, and he's like, he's like, what? I'm like, oh, I'm a dude. No, Kyle. He just he just waited outside.
Kyle wants a scrub a dub song. No.
Okay. Now I think there's too many people. I probably shouldn't be on the floor. Who gives a fuck? Yeah, I don't.
I want to go to Scrub a Dub to join the Scrub a Dub Scrub Club. What if the Brewers go to the NLDS next year and lose? Hold on. When do we start talking? Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Are we gonna be mad? Are we gonna be like, whatever? We already fucking won. Repeat. Because with the Bucks, Tim, I don't care if we ever win again.
No, but here the Brewers are set up so much better than the Buck the Bucks were. And I would like to reiterate: anyone that still has that Notes app with all the losses, you just saw all your teams win in fifteen years. Yeah. All right, I got to go to bed. You got to get on a flight.
I can't believe I saw the Brewers. I want to fuck. I can't believe I saw it with my own 2010 vision eyes. How was that beam in front of you? Oh, I um, I sat up there for five innings, and then you moved down, and then I moved down.
My friend was in the outfield in the bleachers. There's like four rows of. It's really weird. I saw that. I saw that in a picture.
Yeah. In a seat, but there were bleachers two rows behind. Yeah, there's like five rows of bleachers.
So I I was watching standing room up there. I had plenty of room. Yeah. All right, I'm gonna get on this plane. Yeah.
I'm gonna go to bed. We'll reconvene on Monday, on Friday. Monday. Are you gonna? Are you gonna meet me at the airport?
Yeah. Should I?
Well, I'll welcome you back. Tim, what's your favorite item from Taco Bell? Back on the old menu, I like the Macino. I still like a cheese idea. I also do like the hard, just the regular hard shell taco and the chalupa.
What's the one where they do a hard taco and a soft taco and put beans, a double pepper, a crunch or something? Yeah, looks good. All right.
All right.
Yep. Love you too. Hey, thanks for stomping into the Winklerverse. Go Brewers! Bye, end it.
It's a lot.
