Good evening, everybody. Welcome into the Winkler Verse.

The Brewers have won Game One of the World Series. Although, my goodness, little little heart-inducing. Josh Hardy says we are in for a heart attack series. I got a woohoo here from. Chucky, I'm a Packer fan.

Get in the basement, Bart. Go Brewers. In the basement, a lot of watch parties throughout the city. The vibe in this town is immaculate, and to get this win tonight, incredibly huge. You go up 1-0 in the series with each win.

It's one more game we don't have to win, and still one more game that they do. Brewers with four exclamation points, five, six. From Drew, I'll let the comments flow up here as we get going. Andrew Wagner will join us tonight. I do want to say a shout out to all of the sponsors that have been with us, obviously with Potawatomi and our Drive to Seven Seven Seven, Dan Shaney Insurance, Carl's Place, Happy Place Hemp, Wisconsin Bike Fed.

I want to introduce to you a new member of the Winkler for a Winkler verse. I can't even say my own name. We got a new member of the Winkler versed. I did it again, and that's first and bowl. First and Bowl is a place in Wauwatosa.

It's right by Mayfair. It's an event space. You could take your corporate team there. You can do group parties there. They got some like football bowling kind of stuff there.

They've got Nerf parties there. We're gonna do something with my soccer team. First and Bowl dot com. They are the presenting sponsor now of all post game shows here in the Winkler verse. This being one of them.

Andrew Wagner. Joining us through the postseason, reluctantly. How you doing, Wags? What a joyous time for all of us.

Okay, Justin says Bart didn't go. Fake fan. I I was still looking at ticket prices all day. I was looking at ticket prices all day, and they were going up. And there's like, you know, there's internet.

Doctors that are like, oh, I just saw Jameer Gibbs go down. That's three to six. These guys are all hacks.

Now there's like this cottage industry of people doing it with ticket prices, and all of these nerds kept saying that the tickets were going to go down, and they're idiots. This is not. Wisconsin is maybe the cheapest state in the union. Right, we love our deals, and we don't love to spend money. I realize why now.

That was to save money for if the Brewers ever go to the World Series. Because not only are people getting in with these prices, the store had to close. I went to Rally House today. The line was to the back and around, so I just bolted. Shout out to who said my name and said hi.

I don't know if you stuck around because it was so long, but. We're all waiting to spend our money now, so I was getting mad at these ticket people, and now that they won, I think the game two tomorrow will be even more expensive. The Brewers won three two. Any initial thoughts for you, Wagner? You know, I thought it was a bold strategy for Kevin Cash.

to To line up his starting pitching the way he did, and I know the explanation he gave was he wanted to give Rasmussen and Peralta an extra day of rest. I know Brewers fans like to think it's so Freddie wouldn't have to face the crowd in Milwaukee. Which, whatever. I think that's it. I I think it was a smart gambit.

I don't want to say. That he was sacrificing Game One because you never want to like wave the white flag, but I thought going with Martinez in Game One, who's no slouch himself, was a smart move going up against Mizelewski because you never want to burn your ace in the postseason, and you're going up against Miz, who has shown that he's hitable in the postseason, but he's still. You know, leaps and bounds ahead of any other starting pitcher in the postseason.

So you knew game one was going to be a bit of a struggle.

So you start Martinez up against Miz, and you hope that you can get lucky and sneak a couple past and maybe get into that bullpen because they're a little rusty after the layoff, and steal a game, or. Understand that chances are he's going to hold serve because he's Miz, and you're not going to get anything in game one. Henderson is a good pitcher, but the difference between Miz and Henderson is pretty substantial.

So now you're going up in game two, and you've got Urease going on the mound. Which gives you a better chance of getting that split and then taking that first game back home in Tampa to kind of reclaim home field advantage. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think that was a hell of a strategy from Kevin Cash. Go with Martinez in this game. A good strategy, even though it didn't work out.

I think it was a good strategy, even though it didn't work out because you didn't burn. Your ace in a potential loss.

Now you've got your one and two guns lined up to start the next two games. If you can steal tomorrow's game in Milwaukee, even the series, and then have Freddie lined up for Game Three in Tampa, and all of a sudden you take that and give yourself a lead, I think that puts them in good shape. You know, I wonder about. I wondered about that in the Dodgers series. It's Scooble and Miz, and I'm like, do we?

Now the Brewers won that game, but when you you're probably because if you start to get in this kind of like I almost think that I think that strategy baseball is full of strategy, and I think that that strategy is good, but sometimes full of shit. But mainly full of strategy. But sometimes I think they go too far with the strategy. Yeah, and I think that if you have an ace, you pitch him game one. I understand the rationale and the logic, but I I sometimes think, like in my fantasy team for football, I am zero to six.

Do you know why I am zero to six? Because I've over managed every single week. Every single week, I am making a move I shouldn't make. I am picking up a guy. I am jumping a guy.

I am quitting a guy. If I would just play. The strategy that you know, I just sometimes I feel like you you get a little too smart for your own good. We'll see tomorrow how this works out, if it works out for Kevin Casher if it doesn't. But I think if if we if we tried to do this now, it's different.

They're the road team, so splitting and then coming back. I don't think we would have ever tried to do this in a million years.

So I get the strategy, but I do think ultimately you just you should play. You should pitch your ace in game one of a series, is what I think. Yeah, but listen, the difference between Tampa's three guys isn't all that much. They are somewhat interchangeable. Obviously, Rasmusson is the best of the group.

Friday is a close second, but Martinez had a hell of a season, so it's not like they were putting a bum up there to pitch. I just think it—you you have to deploy your weapons. In the best way possible, and that's what makes these teams so great. That's why why Tampa won ninety eight games, the Brewers one hundred and three, because they know how to deploy their weapons at certain times to get the maximum effect. And again, I could be getting it completely wrong.

Maybe it was just a matter of giving them an extra day. But I like that.

Okay, you drop game one, but you still have your ace ready to go now in game two. To kind of give yourself a better chance of splitting those first two games, I'll bring put the link up. I'll bring some of you guys in in a moment. Andrew Wagner with us here as he's been throughout the playoffs. You go put your Venmo up on there.

You can put your Venmo. My Venmo is the same as my Twitter handle. Pay this man. Pay this man some money. But they got the win.

They got the win tonight. It was shaky. I think I want to talk about Miz first because we're on the starting pitchers right now.

So Misurrowski in the postseason against the Padres, it was four innings. He gave up four hits, two earned runs, and he walked. Why are walks not on here? He walked one, and then against the Dodgers, four and a third, five hits, three walks, but he only allowed one earned run. And then again tonight, he went the five innings, four hits, one walk, and one earned run in this game.

Though, and you know some of that, like what happened to Mitchell, that was a stupid play. But some of this, like this, is not. We're not seeing the dominance from Misurowski that we're used to seeing, but he's also he's also not.

Some people were getting mad at John Smoltz. What a shock! We're doing this again. No, no, no, no. I like John Smoltz.

I like when he breaks down what's going on with the pitching. I think he does a good job of that. I think the annoyance was he was like rushing to get Miz out of the game, and he was talking about him like he didn't like his performances. If you Are you all right? I got my free beer from Quick Trip, and it was a little.

It was a little excited, kind of like Bart Winkler. How'd you get a free beer? How'd you get free beer? Anybody with the Quick Rewards app was able to get a free 16 ounce Miller product today. Oh, see, I don't like pinky out, brother.

I don't like quick trip that much, but his outings—if you look and you see him give up hits, you're all like worried. And if you see these guys follow up, but he's going five innings with one run, it's like—and this this is the thing that that you need to keep in mind. And we've we've questioned this year that there's been multiple times where Contreras was calling cutter, cutter, cutter when the cutter wasn't working, and people are getting pissed off about it. Um. I think Contreras has been calling that cutter intentionally all year long, so Miz can start to get more comfortable with it, more comfortable with it, and use again.

We talk about utilizing weapons, right? Deploying weapons. By now, everyone knows that he's going to throw triple-digit heat at you. And even the best major league hitters at some point can catch up to to triple digit heat. They know that fastball's coming.

They're going to sit fastball all day, which is why you saw like today. I think it was six, seven batters before he got a strikeout. He had like what? God, I hate you so much. He had you know a ton of two strike offerings, but didn't get a lot of whiffs on it because people knew the fastball was coming.

They leaned more heavily into the cutter as the game went on. It became an effective weapon for him to get out of at bats, and that's something that young pitchers have to learn. And I think that's why we saw Contreras calling for the cutter so much during the regular season, knowing that eventually the book is going to be out. Guys are going to just sit fastball all day long. He's got to be able to trust that weapon, and I think we saw it tonight.

The much of Fox Six, they're showing the camera of Brewers fans walking out of the bridge right now. Where basically everybody, every other person, is outside in the city of Milwaukee right now, or at an indoor watch party. It is just pandemonium. There's so much about this game.

Some of you guys are talking about the check swing. I want to talk about how the game ended. I was I I was so unconfident in McGill at the end. I threw ten bucks on the Rays. I was I just I did not feel like it was gonna happen.

So we'll get to all that. Hayden's joining us, and Hot Take Jake is joining us. Were you there tonight? No, no, no, no. I was at just a relative's house, and it's fucking crazy here.

Like, they live out in like Lake Tishigan. And I'm leaving after the game, and across the lake, you just hear people screaming. They're shooting fireworks off. Like, it's the the Brewers fever is real. This is fucking awesome.

This is insane. I waited four four years for this. Is it is it Tishigan Lake or Lake Tishigan? I've always wanted. I don't give a shit.

Look, real quick. I want to glaze a little bit first. Wags, I love you. I think your baseball takes are doo doo, but it's really cool to have like really really good baseball analysis after the game, like well thought out and not just laziness.

So like, kudos to you, sir. Um, I don't understand your hat voice. That's what I wasn't wondering. Are you shooting blind? Because I'm all for it.

No, I'm saying that typically some of the other post game options are, I think, a little bit lazy. And I think Wags is a phenomenal choice. Murphy has five kids up there with them. Oh jeez, are you looking for a win? Good for him.

I don't, I don't miss that shit. No, but yeah, Wags. I don't understand the hat choice. That's, but other than that, I love you, buddy. I'm not.

I don't want to spend a lot of time on here. But the national team, World Baseball Classic. Whatever. Hold on, Hayden. I'm coming to you.

Hold on. Hold on. Yeah, Bart. I think I messaged you. I may have said you like you're gonna get to watch the Brewers win a World Series in Tampa.

Ah, I don't know if they're gonna make it to Game Five, buddy. Like this team is just fucking undeniable. But please, for the love of God, just give me one game where it's like eight to two win, nine to three win. Like you have to fucking do this to me every single game. But that's all I got.

I love you guys. In the words of the immortal Ric Flair, "Woo!" And I want to leave with some Bill Michaels' Bill Michaels' bumper music.

So hopefully you don't get flagged for this part. What was one? I'm cutting you off. See ya, Jake. Bye.

That's Jake joining us. Hayden's here. Hayden, what do you got? I'm also bringing Q in. Q's walking out from the game.

What do you got, Hayden? Apologies for going too quick on the trigger. I don't know how this happened, but it's game one of the World Series. I I just down a twelve pack. I can't help it.

I'm sorry. Of what? Of what? Oh Miller, duh! What are we?

What are we doing? Anyway, first off, want to say shout out best pullover they ever had is what you're wearing right now. I have that; it's a great pullover. Anyway, it's just we have to stop denying it. It's just gonna happen.

It's just gonna happen, guys. We have to get over. We know that it's gonna happen. I know. I'm not.

You're denying it. We have to get over our Wisconsin trauma. We have to get over it. Get over it. I just don't.

I have Trevor McGill trauma. That's why I'm nervous.

Okay, okay, okay. But okay. Anyway, Cooper Pratt. If you guys were really looking at it, his cleat hit the back end of it. But anyway, tough ass call.

I thought so too. But tough ass fucking whatever. But anyway, I want to shout out that fucking umpire from earlier in the game calling that that. Fair ball for Bowers. Actually, people doing their fucking jobs in a baseball game.

Great. Anyway, um, it's so tough. Miz is not himself, but getting five innings is amazing right now. I don't give a fuck if he's striking out the people. It's about getting the fucking innings and saving this bullpen.

Where are the Ashby jerseys, bro? Legitimately, there is nowhere I can find Ashby jerseys. I want this guy's jersey. This guy is a fucking demon. He's gonna be here for years.

This guy deserves it. He shows no fucking emotion. I'm Bart. I'm sorry if I'm swearing too much. I'm very sorry.

Anything goes in the playoffs. Anything goes.

Okay. Anyway. The dude deserves to have his jersey on the MLB website or the Brewers Pro Shop. I don't give a fuck. That dude is a demon.

He deserves it. I remember when I was a intern for the Timber Rattlers, watching his first season in High A. He was so fun to watch, dude. I I saw it and like seeing it come to fruition. You got to go to work every day with the legend Chris Merring.

Yeah, ah, dude. Honest.

So okay. I'll I'll try to keep it short. I'm very sorry. So my first, like when I came out of college from UWL, shout out alums, shout out Bart. Um, anyway, I I did my internship in sports management with the Timber Rattlers, and Chris Smearing was kind of.

I didn't really have a great relationship with it, but he is a. Dude, sports commentators are crazy in the minors, man. But he's legit. He is literally legit. But anyway, I got to see all these minor guys, and Aaron Ashby was one of the guys that stood out.

He was he was crazy good. Um, it just was a matter of fact to seeing what was going to happen. But now he's legit, and Jackson Truillo is going to be the MVP, um, for the World Series. Calling that right now. I'll stop talking.

I'll let everybody else talk. Yeah, you stay there. I want to hear Q as he's leaving the ballpark. How you doing? Uh, atmosphere was electric.

I did not get yelled at for standing today. Uh, the crowd everywhere was standing pretty much every pitch.

So Milwaukee showed up. The corporate suits narrative. Was not real. It was fake. Everyone.

It's not a corporate suits narrative, but it is a, it is an influencer narrative. Like, why is Christian Jass at the game and Bart Winkler's not? Why is Tom Hodrickard at the game and Andrew Wagner's not? Yeah, the wrong people are in that building. You know, I was running.

I was like Wagner. Hold on, wait on the radio. You are so like Fox always has like. I use the term loosely. Stars of their shitty network programming.

Oh, just randomly in the stands, like, oh, here's Rob Lowe. Because it's in Milwaukee. Like, did they have anybody there?

Well, the Bucks win. Half the team win after they choked a lead against the Bulls. Jenkins is there too. He should have got their ass on the plane and said, "We're going to Philly." We're not going to the World Series. Bart's got 500 bucks, and you guys win in 30 games, and you've blown two games already.

Hilariously, Giannis is 0 and 2, and also hilariously, the Bucks would be 2 and 0 if he just fucking stayed. But he's a bitch. Yeah, breaking up isn't always the best decision.

So no. Like Bart, we love him still. We love him. We still love him. We love him, but right now we don't.

Yeah, he's fine. Speaking of breakups, I saw Chuck today, and yeah, I just I saw Chuck today. Chuck and I didn't break up. Chuck got fired. Mitch tried to fire Chuck seven times, and I was able to talk him out of it six times.

And then the seventh time, I he just did it like on a day I wasn't there. Anyways, Gophers, like like I think it's been said, this is a team of destiny. It's gonna break all the Wisconsin curses as long as. Armin, what do you? Armin, Armin, what do you want?

What do you want from me, Armin? What? Q. As long as Matt Lafleur doesn't show up at any of the games, I think we're gonna win this series.

So he's not showing up. I don't know. We'll see. He could show up at game.

Okay, that's why we have to wrap this up because he's he's not showing up tomorrow. They have a game Sunday in Detroit, and then. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday are on the road. Game six would be next Friday, so they play Thursday at home, and he's got the weekend off. Lafleur is for sure showing up Game Six, so get this shit done before that jackass gets to go to a World Series.

Yeah, let's let's sweep it. Sweep it when Barty's there. Yeah, sweep it when I'm there. I don't want to go. Yeah.

All right, love you guys. See ya. All right, love you. Did you see Wagner? Did you see what Hogue did to me?

No.

So he had this article about about people that are going to Tampa, and he's like, if anybody's going to Tampa for a game because it's cheaper, DM me. And I'm like, I I DM'd him. I said, Game five player, and then we like. Talked a little bit. I thought he was gonna ask me like a little more about it, and he didn't.

And then so this is in shtick. You're actually going to Tampa? Yeah. You fucking dork. What kind of shtick?

Well, what kind of shtick would I be pulling? I thought it was just shtick. I thought it was a bit. No, no, I bet.

So then, in the article, he puts like Randy Wilson is going with his dad, and Jimmy Stevenson is gone. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. He's flying down, and then it goes in quotes. Game five player Bart Winkler said, "Should have said Bart Winkler is going with Andrew Wagner's son. He's not going.

He's not going to Tampa. It's just me. I'm going all by myself." I went all by myself. All right. Yeah, I went to Tampa.

Yeah, I was getting irrationally mad about some of the people that were in that building tonight that are not me. I would know nothing about that feeling when I saw the Journal Sentinel trotted out that guy. That's that's when I had a decent drywall repair. I didn't think he's going to be credentialed in the press box. Oh yeah, they're gonna name it.

They would have named it for him if Euch didn't die. I'm surprised they haven't named the media interview room after him yet. Yeah. What? What more do you want to chime in with? Um, just kind of like, hey, we're mad respect to the Rays. Like, they're a good baseball team. They really are.

But like, it's kind of like, kind of like with, with any of the teams that the Brewers were just beating the shit out of in September. You get to the bullpen, and you have a chance just to take it over. Granted, they only scored three runs, but like they don't have the depth as the Brewers do, and the and also the back half of their order is not anywhere compared to what the Brewers have.

So I feel like we still have we definitely have an edge. Although their starters, I want to see what Ross Musen does. Maybe it's a kind of a revenge game from being traded. Whatever, keep that in back of your mind. But yeah, you're totally right about Freddie Peralta.

Like they're saving him to go back to Tampa. They ain't gonna let that happen. The Freddie chance aren't gonna happen. But also, maybe you'll lead it. Maybe I don't know.

Next year you're gonna game five. Never mind. Did you see?

So my my kid. It was a ironic situation. Or this phone's phones listening to us. He asked if there was a watch party. Where the Rays play, and I'm like, I have no idea.

Probably not. But then I looked on my phone, and the first tweet I saw was the Rays are having a watch party, but not in the stands. They're letting people bring blankets and sit on the field. That there were like 300 people there. We could never pull that off.

Well, you can't do that on turf. Not yeah. And then I saw some lady, some ladies like.

Okay, this is the Rays watch party. Why are there like thirty Brewers fans here?

So we're already invading their shit, and we haven't even played yet. I really do feel like this is going to be the most away fans in an away park for a championship that you will ever see. In your entire lifetime, and their stadium looks awesome. I would love to go there. I love their stadium.

It is a shit. Oh yeah, yeah. You brought it up in your last pod.

So fun though. I brought it up in the last pod. Yeah, it looks really good. I got to go down there. But um, my next one I want to go to Atlanta.

I went to uh, I went to Camden Yards for two games this year. It was awesome. Curio hit next sweet. Yeah, Curio hit a three run bomb when I watched them that Friday night. It was awesome.

Um, no, man. It it just feels like like you just can't deny it anymore. Like they just have it. And even though McGill was in there, like even when he got bases loaded, like dude, he's gonna strike this guy out. They don't have the back half of the order.

Caminero is legit. The rest are like the even what is this left fielder Simpson. He's not a power former Doc Spider, former Fonda Lake Doc Spider. Oh shit! Really?

Shit, man. I remember that. I remember that from my Appleton days. Shout out to the Doc Spiders, Fonda Lake. Let's go.

Let's go. Um, um. But no, yeah, they they don't like respect them. Obviously, they're in the World Series. They deserve it.

But like, we just we have the better team. It's just gonna happen. Whether it's five or six or seven, it's gonna happen. If it's six, I'm going to it. I hope it's five, Bart.

I hope they clinch when you're there, but it it just it just feels like it's going to happen. We we have to just accept it, even though we have the trauma. Let's say hypothetically, yeah. I don't think this is going to happen. Let's say hypothetically the Brewers do sweep this thing.

Yeah, no.

So then they go through. They go through the entire. Or let's say it's even in five games.

Okay. So say they win it in five games. That means. They went eight, eleven, and two in the postseason after winning one hundred three games in the regular season. Do you think this team gets talked about as a as a you know all time great team?

Like we hear about, yeah, hundred win Yankees teams, hundred win Dodgers teams. I mean, if they go through, then that's the crazy thing about it. Like this is going to get looked at if the Brewers win is just like a flash in the pan type thing. Like, oh, a little market snuck through, but you win a hundred three games, you take the DS and four, you sweep the defending champ powerhouse in the CS and. Rattle off four, maybe five games in the World Series.

Like this team should be talked about as a great team. This World Series will be remembered based on how long it goes. If it goes six or seven, people will start to get into it that aren't. Into it, and they'll remember it for just close games and good baseball. If it goes four or five, I mean, still either way, they're just gonna remember it as remember that weird year the Brewers played the Rays.

Yeah, remember, remember that weird year that that was one hundred percent. Like, remember that year the the Nugget or the Nuggets and the Heat were in the finals. That was a weird finals. That's kind of gonna be like what this is. Hayden, you are raising your hand.

I can't raise my hands in this app. I'm sorry. Like, can we also admit this? I don't think this is the last time they're gonna make it with this current squad and organization. But let's cool any of that until I get it.

I get it. I get it. I get. I was thinking the other day about. Let me say this.

Let me say this. We're gonna be. Then I'm kicking your ass out of here.

Okay, I'll I'll I'll hop off. Anyway, we're gonna be in the CS's at least multiple times over the next year. It's just—it's just how the organization, the organization's built, man. It's just—it's just how it is. Like, there's so many people piping up through this.

I really hope we keep Bowers, but it is what it is. Man deserves what he's got, but we got—we got good things coming, even if this doesn't happen. We have it. We're good. I love you, Hayden.

I cannot man to drinking. I think we're out, but I'm definitely had a good time. Game two, booze. It was a deal. At you don't guys will have this down here.

I'm in Richmond, Virginia. Food line. They had a 12 pack on for sale. That's it. But good.

I'm going to bed. East Coast. You guys have a good night. Nice. No, I'm from Wisconsin, man.

I'm from Wisconsin. Every day, every day in my life. East Coast to Wisconsin. Nope.

Southwest. Anyway, have a good one. Bye. Bye, Hayden. It says right there he's from Yuba.

It's in Richland County. Come on, no, you're. Yeah, I was saying. I was saying. Whoa, whoa, whoa!

I was saying East Coast, not Rockies East Coast. Andrew, Andrew, Richland County. You know, oh, dude, you. See, that's why Wisconsin's beautiful. You go through Richland County, you see all the beauty, all the hills and valleys.

I used to love in the downtown Richland Center. There was a Country Kitchen right on the main drag. Yes, I'm a big fan of that place. Yeah, they used. I don't know if they renamed it, but yes, you are 100 correct.

Our Country Kitchen turned into a fucking Pizza Doctors. Pizza. I remember. I remember the Lacrosse Pizza Doctors. I went there one time and never went back.

I'm gonna look for. You can put gummy worms next to your sausage. I'm gonna look for before tomorrow night or game three. But I have a shirt that says "Where the hell is Yuba?" So, um, wow, mad respect, man. Uh, I mean, that's where I grew up.

I went to the town Hillsboro, Wisconsin for high school. I know Hillsboro. Yeah, yeah, Hillsboro, good town. Um, but anyway, um, my family. Are we talking Highway 33 over here?

Are we not there yet? What are we on? Sixteen. What highway are you on? Fifty.

Shit. Thirty-three. You know what's screwed up though is I haven't been with. I'm thinking of all the letters because Wisconsin's one of the rare states where they have letters for highways. County C, like it's all County Trunk H right through the center of town.

County Trunk C. Yeah, but yeah. Anyway, I'm going to get back to the the Brewers. Yeah. Anyway.

Anyway, have a good night. You guys go to Yuba. My family, we got you. We have one of the the bars there. The still, go for it.

Have a good night. Thanks, guys.

Okay, see ya, Hayden. You let's go to Yuba tomorrow. Let's go to Yuba and be like, hey, Hayden told us that you're you got us. Who are you guys? We're doing a pod, and Hayden joined us.

You were talking about like the Packers and how they only got one out of Rogers or whatever, and they thought like because you were just shitting on Hayden for like we're not going there yet. And I remember after they it was either right before right after they won the Super Bowl, I remember the Sports Illustrated cover with with Rogers and all of his young receivers, and everyone thought it was like the beginning of a powerhouse because all these guys on there like. Draft entry contracts and like this is going to be the dominant force for a generation, like the '90s Cowboys, and it wasn't. That's why I want to like, I didn't want to shit on Hayden, but let's not put the cart before the horse here.

Well, maybe this somebody else brought that up to me last night, and I was like, "What are you talking about?" First of all, we have to win this one. Second of all, when is baseball starting again? Like now is not. We won one game of a World Series. I know we haven't done that in 44 years, but I love that.

I love that your comment section is turned into a country kitchen discussion. Oh, let me catch up on some of these comments. Coos Wallace says ump at first base had money on the Rays. Tried calling an out at first on Pratt for a double play where he was clearly safe. That was insane, and then was blind on the check swing.

I wouldn't say that he had money on it. I still think incompetence rules over somebody had money on it. But baseball and you know every commercial now is Sidney Sweeney's cleavage. You know what else I'm getting sick of? I'm getting sick of people that are coming to Milwaukee.

So on one hand, I want Milwaukee to be celebrated. On the other, I feel like some people that come here. I feel. Let me tell you this: I love Cleveland. I love Pittsburgh.

I love Buffalo. There's some of these cities that I've been to because of Packer games that I have just fallen in love with, and I'm like, more people need to know about the city. And I think it's because I'm from an equitable city.

So you go to these other smaller big cities and you see it. There's some people coming here that I think are treating Milwaukee as like a little Disneyland. Like, look at this. These people are doing this, and there's sausages and oh, tailgating and. Ben Verlander is kind of being one of those people.

I don't know how much you. I I don't like his. I don't like the read I'm getting off of him in Milwaukee right now. Yeah, I I've always grown weary of these dudes that just like pop up here, and it's like, oh my god, you guys actually have houses and electricity, and oh, I thought you were just a bunch of cowpokes. Like what do they what what do they literally think will be here when they get here?

Yeah, cornfields. They they they they think like it's going to be Dyersville, Iowa. Like what the fuck are they thinking? No, there's a million people. There's a downtown.

There's a industrial. There's high rises. There's south side, north. Oh, you guys got flush and toilets here. I thought y'all just went out in the streets.

So you are telling me you are telling me that during the sixth inning, five different people put on a wiener costume and run around the bases. You know that that was the that was the thing that I really was curious about what would happen. Like it's fairly known nationally that the Brewers have the sausage race. But I don't think it's really known just how ethnically stereotypical the costumes are. And I thought with the Sausage Race on the international stage, this is going to be when the nut jobs finally lose their shit and realize, oh, Churrito looks like Speedy Gonzalez, the brown is dressed like.

Especially after yesterday's bullshit with the Atlanta Falcons, which, by the way, the responses—did you hear the best nickname ever? I mean, there's been so many good ones. I did the Bird Reich, the Bird Reich. That one's too good. Like.

I just want to segue on this for a second because then all these dumbass Falcons fans are going, "Oh, you don't understand! Just to combine the colors of UGA and like, listen, no one's getting offended. Like, I'm just German as anyone. I'm not getting offended by it. Making funny, we think it's fucking hilarious that somebody actually put this together, looked at it, and said, "Hey, this is awesome." And had no clue whatsoever that, man, that really looks like something you know who used to fly around.

It's still up. Yep, and kudos to them for not like, oh, you. This does not represent our values. Like, they owned it. Could you imagine if they were the team playing in Paris this week and pulled that shit?

Oh yeah. But no, I was thinking this is this World Series. This is when some like oversensitive nut job, stupid college professor, college master student loses their shit over the ethnic stereotypes of the sausage race, and all hell breaks loose. Maybe that's why Fox didn't show. It will be like The Atlantic.

Milwaukee's Brewers are America's most racist team, but. Hey, in a society where the Simpsons made Hank Azaria stop being a poo, we still have the chorizo, so that's good. Armin says prior to what we were talking about, not enough Hall of Famers on this team. If we win, they will treat us like the Royals win back in '15. I think that's an apt comparison.

Matt says this team to the Royals. Yeah, Matt says I really want the whole nation to understand how much we love the Brewers. I think that can be the lasting legacy of this team in this season. Yeah, you know what I think. In in like a big picture way, because we are we are looked at as Packer fans.

Packer fans run the state, and even when the Bucks won the title, that didn't make a dent. Into that, at all, and the Brewers are the Brewers are you know the Brewers are different in the way because like what that's the oddest that's the oddest angle of drinking a beer I've ever seen. There was a lot of foam in there. The Brewers are like. We all like the Packers because they're good.

And even you all like the Packers because you dumbass to spend two hundred fifty dollars on a piece of paper that lets you think you own the fucking team. But I'm looking at I'm on six right now. The Carlo had a big watch party. Deer District watch party. Kegels in watch party.

I love Kegels party. Love Kegels. People just want to be together during this. Yep. The watch parties at Miller Park are going to have thirty thousand people there.

I remember when people were raving about the watch parties in the Deer District, which we used to just call downtown. And it was like, "Oh, look at this! All of Wisconsin loves this." No, people in Wisconsin just want an excuse to drink in a crowd outside in public. Sports just provides that excuse. But we love the Brewers, and they were bad.

It is pretty cruel that the the further they go. I'm starting to really feel bad for the for Bob Uecker. Yeah, this guy stuck with us through everything. Yeah, and then and then they get good in '08, and then they suck again. And then they go to the NLCS in '11, suck again.

Get back there in 2018, then it's heartbreak after heartbreak after heartbreak. What was his last one? The Pete Alonso game. Yep. That's his last memory of this team.

Yeah. And then the next year they go to the NLCS, and the next year they sweep the team that swept them the year before, and now they're in the World Series. That fucking sucks. I'm starting to like, like win it for Uke. I'm like, I feel more bad for Uke than ever before.

Yeah. I understand. It's just how how is this possible? He's got a few more years on me, but I understand. I just, I just, it's so, it's so.

Not yet, Mister Broom. You get back over there, Mister Broom. Yeah, I saw some dude say three more wins, asshats. Yet no one's saying it's over, dick bag.

Well, maybe he's saying like just three more wins. No.

Are you saying you think he's saying, guys, guys, three more wins? Maybe they got a dude chugging beers in a wheelchair on Fox Six. Hell yeah! Although I wouldn't want to see him on the sidewalk. Jake says need to talk about yet another miss swing check call against us.

WTF? This is exactly like the Rangers and Dbacks. Yeah, I don't know what this was for. It was just a Jesus Christ man that could be said at pretty much any time during this podcast. These post games are brought to you by First and Bowl in Owatosa.

I was there today checking out the space. I'm going to take. Is that where you like throw footballs at bowling pins? Yeah, I think I've seen commercials for that. And they have a Nerf gun area upstairs, and and I was like, because I'm gonna I'm gonna take my soccer team there.

So is this for kids or is this for adults? Both. Oh, there's kids. They're doing different leagues. Um, for this party I'm gonna have, there's also a full bar with TVs.

And and my parents like to drink, so they will be there. My my soccer parents. Um, I like to drink. Are there any single soccer moms? They're all they're all married.

That's right, you're in Shorewood. Yeah, there's like one divorced person I know here. Everyone's got secular families. There's like no divorced moms to hit on. You know, I'm just gonna start this this rumor, this thing on Twitter, and see if I can make it go that the euchre was actually a curse, and just see how.

He would actually appreciate me of all people doing that. Like he would find the humor in it. See, when I was just saying that just now, I thought, "Was you gonna curse?" And but I didn't say it because there were times, and I will admit, I can say this now that he's gone. Like we listen, we all know how bitter and jaded and. Whatever I am, but yeah, the one thing that I did never take for granted and appreciate every day was the fact that I got to go to work with Bob Uecker every day, and almost every day, him and I would just sit in the dugout, just shooting the ball about life and Johnny Carson and playing for the like, actual just two dudes talking.

But there were times where we would. Make jokes about like whatever the theme of the day is, whatever people were panicking about, and he would craft some material for my Twitter from time to time.

Some of my sharpest, shittiest takes. It was kind of like that episode of Letterman where he used all jokes that were sent in by Carson for his monologue. Yeah. So yeah, over the years, you fed me some material for some of my some of my commentary.

So I think he would. I think he would get a kick out of spreading the whole rumor that he was he was the curse that held them back all those years.

Well, you have to do it. I can't because I'm I'm I'm on my face turn right now. I'm on I'm a face right now. See, I've always been a heel. Yeah, I just I I was being a heel during the Packers, and I turned back face for the Brewers.

And then once you impressed, I knew wrestling terminology. Yeah, but heel and face. I think all those years of sitting next to Rosieac paid off. This is a good comment from Four One Four Badger. This is what I am talking about.

This is the exact way I was trying to describe it. They treat us like we're aliens. They they come to Milwaukee and they treat us like what is this foreign land? And then one person I saw today just tweeted, "Everyone freaks out. We're just." We are nice people that like beer.

What? What's there's nothing to it. But everyone's all like, "Oh my god!" It just feels like they're going. It feels like we're in a zoo, and they're letting us come in the. They were letting them come in the cages of the zoo.

Brian with the comment of the night. Uh, what's that one here, Brian? The curse. The curse is Tom Hodrickort. Block that guy from Milwaukee for life.

This is a. Anti Tom Hodgricourt show. Yeah. Um. Oh, here does it say three more wins?

Ass clowns. That's from Ron. Ron, what the fuck you talking about? Ron's flying in for game two tomorrow. Ron also says I own the Packers.

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Um. Logi wants to know why you're so sassy. Welcome to the party, Logie.

Yeah, he just told you that that's not him. That's Euch. That's Euch. If you would have told me the Brewers would have been the first team to get to the championship game series in 2022, I would have told you, damn, we still got Lafleur as a coach. Eucher holding them back.

Just say it. Just fucking say, tweet it right now, you pussy. I'm gonna put it out there. I need all of Winkler Nation to like sign on. You're all part of the bit now.

You're all part of this gambit. And you gotta, then you gotta be like, then someone's gonna be like, God, don't you think Eucher, yeah, Eucher's probably enjoying the hell out of this, you asshole. And then you'd be like, Yeah, I'm sure he's got a nice view from down there. Just like, fucking! What do you think he would think about three thousand dollars seats?

I mean, you wouldn't have to pay for his. That's true. A lot of, lot. Josh Eucher was a curse. Is a sad reality.

My two feet.

So so far, the comments line have been rural country kitchen restaurants that are now defunct. Uh, my least favorite fellow journalist of all time, Bob Euchre, being a curse. Oh, now we have a Perkins or a Perkins reference. Bar, remember when you do Perkins, you curse Perkins. I curse Perkins.

I curse Perkins. That was one of my best tweets ever. Was standing outside the shuttered Perkins with the quote. The unfortunate aftereffect of hitching your horse to the Bart Winkler wagon. Yeah, a lot of people have gone down that hill.

Well, Perkins got COVID. It it it did. Cause as good as Perkins is, not was, but is, ain't nobody going to their DoorDash and getting the. You know, twelve egg omelet or whatever, sent to the house. Big breakfast, yeah.

And everybody that went to Perkins was old, also. I liked Perkins, except for the big breakfast. I just wish they had the breakfast buffet. This tweet, Bart, you were asking about pop-up stands for brewer swag. None here in Green Bay.

In fact, nobody has any decent brewer swag. Walmart, Fleet Farm, Target, J.C. Penney, T.J. Maxx, Ross, Burlington, etc.

Well, Walmart's never gonna have decent swag. Like the the one out here by me has got like two whole sections of brewer shit. Remember, most of those places order that shit in January. And they don't want to pay the premium of buying all that postseason stuff, and then if it's a short exit, they're stuck with that inventory. I'll also say I do feel like there's some Green Bay gatekeeping.

Oh, absolutely! I was shocked the Packers put something on the scoreboard last week. Yeah, I don't think they want the Brewers to win. No, the Bucks and Brewers are. They'll support each other, because they want free tickets from each other on their off days, which is what happened tonight.

Because Taylor Jenkins is a fire that guy. You take your team to the game. Oh no! But I don't think the I don't I think the Packers are like, ah, we'll tweet something about the fucking Brewers. That's why, as much as I love the Packers, and I do, fuck them, just fuck them.

Well, they play Detroit Sunday. I don't give a shit. I am tempted to go to the Badger game tomorrow. The tickets are so good and they're so cheap. I'm off.

What time you picking me up? Let's go. They're so cheap and they're so good. I'll get ripped shit. You can drive my ass home.

Ron also says we are nice people who like beer. Matt wants to know why Hodrickard did have a job for so long. He always sucked. Scott says brewers in six. All right, we like that.

Wags needs a winky flat brim. Comp him one, Bort. You want a hat? You want a Bart Winkler hat? No, do you have underpants though?

I'll wear some Bart Winkler underpants. I made socks pre shat. I could make Anderson. Could make Bart Winkler condoms. We did that for one of my buddies.

We ordered like 500 condoms with his face on the wrapper. Yeah, then what did you do with them? Handed them out all over the place. Do you think anybody banged in them? Did you?

Yeah, it was desperation. It was the only one I could find. Did you tell her that, or did you? I didn't show the wrapper. Time was a factor, Bart.

Oh, it was just on the wrapper. It wasn't on the actual. Just on the wrapper. It wasn't on the actual copy. You weren't like, okay, no.

Here, we'll roll the song. This is my buddy Jack. Um. All right, back to the game, or let's talk about the game.

So, three-two Brewers win. Is that fact true? There hasn't been a first inning run in the World Series in Game One in like forty-six years.

Well, it's on the internet, so it has to be true. Yeah. So they scored two right away. That's pretty sick. Yelich had the triple that got bobbled out there.

And then Contreras brought him home, so it's two nothing right away. And I'm feeling pretty good. I would think at that point, I thought the game was over. I think the game. I think I think I felt like we're going to win this game.

And then when that happened, I felt like okay, now we are really going to win this game. And then it was just a matter of getting to the ninth inning. And the Rays got one back. Churio got one back in the seventh, which I did not see. Because my Directv just turned off, the box just decided to reboot, so I missed the good inning and a half on my TV.

I had to pull it up on my phone, and then the Rays scored.

So McGill comes in, and I'm so nervous. I don't know. I didn't like his face. I didn't like his hair. I didn't.

I just didn't like his demeanor at all. I didn't like how he looked.

Sometimes that just the the radiance they give off.

So I'm like, okay, I'm nervous. And then he starts putting guys on base. I threw ten bucks on the Rays to win one fifty, just to emotional hedge. And you could have just given me that ten dollars. No, no, because then when the Rays were three two.

After the challenge, I cashed it back out and then put it on the Brewers. They gave Chuck one of the clubhouse badges. Are you kidding me? Are you watching six? No, I'm just looking on Twitter right now, and Chuck's in the clubhouse.

Last year, before I got booted, I couldn't even get a clubhouse badge.

Well, Chuck did cover. Wait, Chuck covered the 82 series. Good for him. If anyone deserves a clubhouse badge, it's Chuck Freeman. But no, I was just overreacting and make stuff up, and I'm unprofessional.

How much of the story are we going to get here? We'll wait till later in the playoffs. I need to be.

Well, I told you, I told you what I'm doing for the show. If they win it, right?

So that'll be the night. It all just. Let it fly. Are you really going to do that? Absolutely.

All right, if the Brewers win the World Series, Wagner's got an October surprise for us, folks. Um, so stick around for that. But I was I was tense about McGill. I didn't I didn't love him coming in. I just don't get why.

And I hear that all the. The other one that I hear all the time, and I actually yelled at a dude at the bar about this the other day. He bitches about McGill and he bitches about Ashby. He's like, I, I, I just don't feel comfortable anytime those two guys come into a game because they always put a run around. They never work a one, two, three inning.

Hi, it's big league baseball. Guess what? The other team, pretty fucking good.

Well, sometimes, sometimes what happens is we see them once and it just stains our brain, and then so every time he comes in, if we see him do something, it stains our brain. I got a lot of shit for calling Willie Adams. You know, he only hits home runs when they're down eight to one, and they're always solo shots. No, he would hit the three run homers when they were down eight to one, but he would hit solo shots if they like actually. Need them, yeah.

I'll get I'll get frames on. I'll get frames on soon. Throw a bet on a Brewer sweep. That will get you much better odds. They have a decent chance.

I do not think we're sweeping, and I don't want to talk about that. Like I do think we're winning. I said I said the whole time, I think we're winning. It feels like we've already won, and we just got to sign the contract. I said.

The DS would go a full five. I said they would need at least six, maybe seven, if they were going to beat the Dodgers, and I was wrong in all accounts.

So I'm just going to go and say Brewers win in five.

So when it goes seven, I can keep my streak alive of being wrong.

Okay, well, I'm going to almost guarantee that they will not win in five because there's no fucking way I'm going to actually see the Brewers win the World Series with my own eyes in Tampa. There's no fucking way. I I would just hate you even more.

So, at what point? Here's a conundrum. At what point do I start rooting for a loss so that it goes to Game five? Because if they would have lost tonight, fuck! I can root for Game Five because I want to win in five.

Well, I I do think, and I was wrong about this the last series, and I think the series before. I I do think the Rays come out of Milwaukee with a split. Um. I think tomorrow is their best chance to do it because they are. Again, we talked about this at the beginning of the show.

Would you almost say they have to win tomorrow, or they will not win? I think they have to win tomorrow because you have Rasmusson on the mound. You have to win with your ace, which goes back to what I was saying about kind of adjusting your starting rotation so you are using your ace in your best chance to win a game. And I do think it's a they have to win that game tomorrow. It would be different, maybe less, if they didn't have Freddie going in Game Three.

But you've got your ace going. You don't want to fall behind too. All I, I mean, every game in the in the World Series is a must win. But I think it's imperative if if the Rays want a chance at this thing, they've got to come back and win tomorrow. Ben says David Hamilton slip was unreal.

That was when he got a double and tried to go to third, but he slipped. He touched the bag weird, and just stumbled a little bit. He didn't fall, but he stumbled a little bit, and they got him at third. But that—that's remember how happy I was after Game One of the Padres series when it hit the roof. Because I was so happy that something so weird happened and it benefited us.

So another thing to think about is we have often invented ways to lose in this state. We invent so there there keeps being things that are happening that would go right into that bucket. Ball hits the roof, lands. Churio doesn't catch it. Oh my God!

And then, but it didn't happen. It happened in our favor. Hamilton, that play, we could always look back, but it didn't. It didn't matter. We won the game.

Pratt, the double play. Oh, he didn't have his foot on the second. He, how did he? But when we got the next out, on a DP, it didn't. It didn't matter.

We there. These are games that we typically have watched our team lose. And we're winning them. We we are not. We are still playing almost the same we've always played.

There are still mistakes. Garrett Mitchell tonight was horrible. He missed the catch.

Now he was shaded up, and he couldn't get it going back.

So that's some positioning. But it was in his glove, and then he sack bunts an out. That was caught. You can't do that. He had a horrible night, and normally that should cost us.

But we're winning in spite of that because we're still making the extra plays. We're getting the Dan Shaney insurance runs. We're doing the little things you need to do so that you don't lose because of the little things. And we've been doing it the whole playoffs. I'm I'm telling you, if they do not win this World Series, typically when I say like if they don't win the Super Bowl, I'll blank or I'm gonna laugh really hard.

Oh, I know you will, but I I can't. That's not even it's file not found. I'm so convinced that they're going to win. I can't even the heartbreak. I I don't.

That's just the feeling that the team gives me. Alex says, "Why do I not feel happy after a win?" Yeah, I asked that question about Wisconsin people for years and years and years and years. I just don't get it. Like the the Brewers could win this thing in four games, and after the post game show is going to be bitching about how the Umps tried to blow it in the Rays' favor, and how the Fox announcers were blowing the Rays' players and and shitting on the Brewers. It's like just.

Watch the game. Just have fun, enjoy it. There's another one tomorrow. Enjoy that you just won a game in the World Series for the first time in 44 years. Get drunk.

Maybe look at some naked women. I don't know. Life-like or there's a real drunk woman on Fox Six right now. Yeah. All right.

No more anymore. I like that. Did you see Fox Six made team shirts for their team? I like it. Tom says, if it's a Brewer sweep, is Bart still flying out?

You know, that's a great question because I'll get the money back for the ticket. Will you get the money back for the airfare? No, but I'm gonna. I'm going to New Orleans for the Packer game.

So I haven't booked that flight yet.

So I'm gonna. I get the I get a credit. I think.

So then I'll get the flight to New Orleans with the credit, but I do have a hotel down there that I was able to use through a comp. I got a hotel. Should I just go and hang out at the hotel by myself? Ooh, I can actually help you out with the hotel. We'll discuss after the show.

I have a hotel.

Okay. Okay. But for New Orleans, I got you. Oh, we got a hotel already. It's my favorite Milwaukee strip club.

I don't like strip clubs. I don't either. Every year, the I go with like ten guys on this packer trip, and every year one of them goes, "Should this be the year we get an Airbnb?" And we're all like, "No, we are hotel people. We're in our mid forties. We're getting a fucking hotel.

Not taking out the trash." They just changed all that today. The Airbnb did no. There's a huge shitstorm with Airbnb hosts because Airbnb changed the policy now, so like hosts can't give you like seven pages of chores to do before you check out, and then charge you a cleaning fee and all this shit. That's why I don't use Airbnb. It's like I'm on vacation.

I'm not going to clean your house for you, and then it's like I need a vacation for this vacation. Yeah. Universal Soul Life Balance says I hate the two three two format. WTF. Yeah, that's never going to change.

It that's never stupid though. But guys, gas is four sixty a gallon, so we can't afford to be flying back and forth. Who knows what fuel prices are? I was gonna, I could afford a three thousand dollar ticket to tomorrow night's game, but I had to fill up my Hyundai, so can't go now. Rasmussen has to go deep, otherwise the Brewers will rip the bullpen.

The knock on the Rays is that. They yeah they they don't like their middle guys. Yeah, I like that Stephen Matz is still in this league. Rory McIlroy clone. I hate Rory.

I hate Rory. Just struggling through relief appearances now. Aranda is a problem. Their top four is good. Garrett Mitchell will have a bounce back game tomorrow.

That's how we roll. That is true. He does have a tendency of doing that, especially in the postseason. Q says the council curse is over. Where do you think he watched the game?

Do you think he was in the Deer District? That seems like a place he would hang out. There's no way, zero, that they go to the World Series if Council's still here. None, fucking zero, none, because he would be going strictly by the numbers. He wouldn't.

He doesn't care about. I mean, Murphy fucked up the lineup again tonight, and then he puts Yelich in the three hole, and it cashes in right away. And the the C thing, Council's not doing that. Nope.

Nope.

Yeah, there's no chance. Council with those young guys. I mean, there's just there's no way. There's no way that he gets the same. Respect out of them.

There's no way that he gets the same results out of them. Murphy knows how to push your buttons. He knows how to knock you down. He knows how to build you up. He knows when the dude used to be a boxer.

Like he understands the the process. He knows what it's like to get into the ring, and he knows the time and the place. Like he was the right guy for all these young dudes. Council Council claimed to like all the young guys, but he was all about his vets. Yeah, he was a cranky old son of a bitch, just like me.

So why didn't you guys get along? I still don't know. Probably because Cincinnati beat the shit out of Notre Dame that one year. Oh yeah, has that Fickle's year? Yeah.

What got him the job at Wisconsin? Yeah. Brian says, "I'm glad Fox is melting the earth for all those AI shitty graphics. There was one they used with Murphy and Cash that was so bad, and the World Series lineups that they printed has the AI font like it's so ugly. Oh, I bitched about that earlier today.

If the AI font wasn't so ugly, but it's just so ugly." It's it's just so ugly. The thing I did want to shout out baseball for was I don't know if you saw any of the pregame. I guess you did not. No.

So they did this thing where Tom Rinaldi was anchoring to the TV audience, but to the ballpark.

So he had the mic. And they brought out like a calendar in the middle of the field, and they kept flipping the dates of the calendar with people flipping cards. Yeah, I heard they had to like rehearse until eleven o'clock last night because they kept fucking it up, and then they had to do more rehearsals this morning because they kept fucking it up. But so they play the video of the Rays and the Brewers in their path, so all the fans can see, and so the players can watch. And then they're showing the players, and then they're showing the, and then they're showing the players.

It was very cool. It was, it was very, it was top notch. And then they're like Foxtober AI graphics. Hey, at least Fox can do all the AI nonsense they want as long as they're not the ones that put JJ Watt in the fucking top booth, right? I got nothing there.

Yeah, I can't. Why do they stop selling beer in the sixth inning? Why do they stop selling beer in the sixth inning at American Fun Fest? What? Seventh inning, probably.

That's some bullshit. You don't don't you think in the playoffs anything goes? They should not do that. You should be serving into the final out. You want to make that money?

There's nobody sand to buy. In the World Series, there is nobody like you are not helping anybody.

So, so they they stop the drinking because they don't want people to drink right before they leave. But in the World Series, you are not saving any lives by doing that. Everyone's already fucking destroyed. Yeah. But whatever.

I did see that the fifty-fifty was one hundred and ten thousand dollars tonight. Whoever walked away with that might be able to go to tomorrow's game. It's probably Harder Court. Yeah, that fucking piece of shit. Did you see he had dental work done?

Did you see a dental work done? No, I. I. Oh no! Of course he did it.

No.

I've been blocked for years. Odd. Yep. Council's team's never felt like this team. That's because Council's not like this.

Yeah. This team is fun and enjoys baseball. They're not just doing it for a paycheck. Yeah. This team has a personality.

Has soul. Has fire. They they reflect. You reflect your manager. Bud says, "I don't feel bad for Craig, but I can imagine how lousy he feels." Right?

No, he doesn't. He does not care. No, he's cashing an eight million dollar check for doing jack shit. I promise you, he doesn't care. He'll probably be at the Badger game tomorrow.

He don't give a shit. Um, Bucks post game show when?

Okay. Well, not tomorrow.

Well, I guess. I guess this is also kind of a. I talk Bucks here. The next Bucks post game show will be like a truly Bucks standalone, non-Brewers post game show. Is that what you're Jonesing for?

Oh, that's not going to be till November. I don't fucking know. Why can't AI choose a better font? I don't know. So fucking annoying.

Was the Happy Days gimmick real or AI? No, that was real. They did, they did, they did that. I think Miller Light sucks. That's not going to disagree with you there.

I don't know what it is. I drink Bush Light. I like High Life Light. I like Coors Light. But if someone offers me a Miller Light, like I, I, it doesn't just, it doesn't do it for me.

It doesn't have that ruggedness to it. Cutting people off that have been drinking since nine a.m. that'll sober them up to drive. Yeah, that's why I never understood. I like that.

I like that. I like that for the longest time.

Okay, our team name is the Brewers.

Okay, that's beer. Yeah, and our big thing is tailgating. Yes.

So our big thing is drinking lots of beer and tailgating, and but no one's ever worried about like how many people are driving out of that stadium drunk. Yeah. Like, why is there not a drunk checkpoint? We don't want Bernie to slide back into the beer beer style because we don't want to promote drinking. Your team's name is the fucking Brewers.

Seriously, though. Did the brew? Are is there some sort of pay for play here? If if I took over as the Milwaukee County Sheriff tomorrow, I'd be like, okay, first thing we're doing is we're setting up drunk stops at every exit of this fucking stadium. I don't think you can do those in Wisconsin.

Well, your boy E Brooks Uncut just got one. Hmm. Knock on wood. Um, what about Yingling? You know, I used to like Yingling, and then it became available here.

And one night, I had three of them, and I realized that was too too many.

So, like, I will occasionally have a Yingling, but High Life Light and now that they got rid of my beloved Schlitz, yeah, it's pretty much High Life Light is the go-to. Fans would never go to another game if there was a DUI checkpoint. Yeah, sure they would. They just park on Blue Mountain and walk. Yeah, and carry their grill.

You know what? I also don't like. I had I had answers for that, but I didn't want to get you flagged by YouTube. I don't like that. Suddenly, every news anchor gets to go to this ballpark, and I don't.

Yeah, that's the thing that always pissed me off about this was like all the newsies would start showing up and acting like they own the fucking place, and it's like, shut the fuck up, sit in the back, stop asking your stupid ass questions. That's why I hate opening day. At least you would wear a suit. I did. I wore suits to opening day.

Yeah, I did. I did. I just saw. I'm watching Fox 6 still, and they showed Ted Perry get a boop on his nose from the Barrel Man. Yeah, I could do without him.

Like Cruiser is great, Lily is great, Tim is Tim. Like he's a legend. There's TV's the man. Yeah, he'd come on the Winklerverse. He's a friend of the show.

He wasn't able to come on Odyssey because. Whatever contract he's got with someone else, but he would send me another shitty radio company in town. He'd send me messages about like, "Oh, your show's so good." I'm like, "Then that's how I know that I that my tweets landed because every now and then I'll dump a zinger and I'll get a DM from TVV saying, "Excellent." Yeah, T TVV or we're telling secrets out of school here. Best best hair in TV. Has not changed in thirty years.

Buckshot Bobby says, "You know what? I don't like Bart. I don't like the Blake Snell is covering up the Matt Lafleur picture." No, no, no, no, Matt Lafleur is right here. We still got Lafleur. Don't you need an updated picture for this round?

Like, yeah, maybe I do. Maybe a picture of Craigers. I don't know. No, I got a good idea for something. All right, I think I have Ron in Milwaukee.

Big Ron in Jersey. He wanted the link. Come on, Ron. And it's just, it's just stalling there. No Timmy Shea tonight.

Was he at the game? Um, I will send him a link. See what he's up to. Send him a link. I don't know what's going on with Ron.

Yeah. What if I? What about like Wade Boggs' retired jersey? Rays. Is that good?

That's solid.

Solid. What else can I do to shit on the Rays? I like the Rays. Yeah, I do too. What else can I?

Went back to the Devil Rays jerseys. Yeah, I don't know if I like that actually. No.

Oh, Frames is on TV. He knows it too. This piece of shit.

Okay, hold on. Look at this.

Okay, can you see the TV? Yeah, I have it on next to me. Yeah, Cooper Pratt was there, and Freeman stands right where he knows that red. That red light is good, and it's funny. Like people accuse me of doing it on purpose for years, because like I would get picture.

You'd send me picture of me. Like my favorite one is where I'm apparently just glaring death rays at Zach Davies. But like that was always my spot, not because I wanted to be on the camera, but I hated holding my arm out over all the dorks in front of me.

So I would just lean off to. And plus, McCalvy and Rosieak and all them, they're taking video. I don't need that. Linger off to the side. Get my quotes nice and clear.

Peace out. Go to the bar. All right. I think I have something to put up here, and then we can. Then we'll be done for the night.

I'm printing it.

Okay. I don't know what this is. Help me with this. Are we going to discuss the woman in the yellow shirt who's married to a Johnsonville? Executive, I don't know what that means.

You need to put a ban. I'm assuming because I've seen people talking about this, sitting next to front row nut job. Can we just like enforce a rule? There will be no discourse about that fan or any person with that fan. Amy, why stop?

Stop giving her attention, and she'll stop being a thing. No, they they took her seat away. Good. Yeah. Oh God.

Oh, you should get kicked off the internet for that. Oh. Tom Huddertor, I can hear. I can hear that picture. I guess I guess they don't let you in this year to the World Series, Andrew.

Isn't that right, Andrew? And every question has like a twenty-minute soliloquy before it. Craig, Craig, Craig, Craig! You did you say that you weren't going to pitch? You're thinking about putting Brandon Woodruff on the roster.

What do you think about that? Leaking oil. Dude, I love that. I love how I love how much Hodgecourt lived the fuck out as soon as he was done with that job. He was like that in the press box too.

Like, just it was nonstop all the time. Like, I had to stop eating at the table with the other scribes because I just couldn't listen to this shit every single day. What has he been? I don't want to hear about politics. Hey, they run to Santa.

Okay. Front row Amy definitely plays pickleball. Front row Amy should pull a Billie Eilish and reduce those things by sixty percent. Just stop, stop even mentioning her. Just don't give that thing attention.

Tim says he's trying to join. Maybe that's what happened with Ron. Maybe no. Maybe maybe Streamyard's like no, and we can't have anyone talk to these fucking guys. Did you see that first comment about us?

No.

Oh, it's so early. Did they shit on us? Yeah, we look like the fuck is the comment. I can't find it. Was yellow shirt hot or what?

What's the deal? I don't know. I don't know. All right. I think Shay's here.

He's on Blue Mound. Hey Bart, where are you, Kelly? I'm Blue Mound. How's Carrie Anne? Hold on, it's a little noisy.

Oh, what Wagner? What's up? Nothing. We're just talking about my favorite former fellow colleague, who's now enshrined in the Bart Winkler Wall of Fame. Hodgecourt.

Hold on. Let me get to a little. All right. What do you got? I put Tom Hodgecourt on the wall.

God damn it.

Sorry. Are you using an iPhone 3G? No, I'm not. It's just the area I'm in. All right.

Can you hear me? Can you see me? I can hear you. All right. What's that?

That's fine. Just tell us how the. Just spend 30 seconds and tell us about the game. The pregame, fucking awesome! Like you cannot go back and do that again.

That I that was thirty five minutes. That if you were in the stadium, minutes. Yeah, it was fucking awesome. I don't care. They were going back and forth each game.

I mean, you saw it on TV, right? I hope they showed it. They showed it. Yeah. Ah.

It's, dude. Man, I wish I would have been covering that because I would have been bitching up a storm about it the whole time. Why? Will this ever end? Can we get into the game?

What? Of course, I bitch about it. I hate that shit. Start the game, and the game let's go. Dave says Tim is standing outside the bar I'm in right now.

Dave, well, come on, go tell Carrie and say hello. Tim, hey, Dave, go give Tim your phone. Yeah, let's get out here. Tim's phone battery's dead from all the snake he's been playing on that phone. I got nineteen percent.

I started the game at a hundred percent, and now I'm at nineteen. Um. Dude, that pregame—you cannot relive that. The whole game, the fact that we had to get five outs to end the game—so freaking awesome, dude! Mama Moe is asking if you're calling from 1982.

I might be. I very well might be. It is very foggy out here, by the way. Let me get your forecast real quick. I'm not.

We're done. This is. Where the fuck are you? Do you want anything else about the game? Yes.

Yes.

I want to know. Take me through the crowd's emotions when you thought the game was over and then it wasn't. Yeah. the The game was over. Everyone's like, "All right, we're celebrating.

We're celebrating." All of a sudden, the umpires are like, "Back up." Back up! They're telling like the sets and everything. Back up! Like the game's not over. I thought there was a little hover rule there.

I don't know. I've been told, but it was very painful to go through that too. Yeah, there's no hover rule when you're replaying everything. Except, hey, if we're gonna replay everything, can we replay check swings? Right?

Like twice tonight. Anyway, we got these nice little scarves. By the way, World Series cards. I can't see you. We do not.

I know. I'm trying to find light. That's not the problem. I know. Your blackberry is the problem.

Yeah. Hey Tim, how's it going? I'm good. Oh, Dave, Mark, Mark McGuire is yeah. Mark from McGuire's is here.

Yeah. I just enjoy the game. Ah, was wonderful. Yeah, exactly. All right.

A good one. That was not Dave. All right, here we go. I finally got light. All right, so we got these nice little scarves.

Tim, your camera's off. You're becoming the new train wreck. Let's say, God damn it, you too. I'm gonna cut you. All right, stop using Watercourt's phone and get your own.

Can you do a pregame show tomorrow so I can like redo this? No.

Do we need to get Tim some more AOL minutes? All right, bye, Tim. Can I do a pregame show? Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna change my whole day schedule so I can hear three minutes of that.

Oh, we're about done. I'm gonna play two voicemails. Do you want to stick with me for that or no? Sure. All right.

Um, this one is from Matthew. Matthew lives in Chicago. He's the guy I called once when I thought I was calling Bonnie from Cruz, and I actually just randomly called this dude.

So here is Mark or Matthew. What's going on, my man? It's Matthew. I'm in Chicago. Hey, man, just checking in on you.

It's Friday. It's about four fifteen. I'm gonna keep it short and sweet for you, dog. Man, you've been you've been pumping out that live content. Keep keep doing your thing, bro.

You're good at it, for real, for real. Keep doing your thing. You don't get something. I got this, baby. Hey, man.

Good luck to the Brewers, bro. From a White Sox fan, I wish was I wish it was the White Sox against y'all, but the Rays, eh? And they ain't they ain't nothing the Snickin' knows that, but I feel like y'all might be on the. 2005 White House kind of course where y'all might just sweep them out, sweep them out the dugout type of thing.

So good luck to y'all. I hope y'all enjoy it. Even if you're not there, you there. Anyone in between, y'all have a great time. I remember going to Game Two of my pops, the walk off home run by Pasadena.

Man, I still remember it to this day, like it was yesterday. Cool vibe, man. Keep it going, bro. And hey, I ain't gonna mention the Bears, but they, they, they, they, they might be some. But we'll get into that later, Bart.

Hey, go Brewers! Go ahead and sweep them, bro. Just like you did the Dodgers. Just keep that same tip. Y'all got this.

All right. Checking in with you later, Bart. Peace.

Okay, I'm glad I played that after a win. I didn't know what he had said, so that's good. I got one more voicemails, by the way. Thanks to our friends at Carl's Place, four zero two nine one five B A R T. Rumor is they're having a big sale coming up.

Peep my socials for more. All right, I got one from David. David's are a little longer. He sent me two ones, totally about that hockey trade today. Hellebrook.

I'm not gonna play that one. I'm gonna play the pro. I'm gonna play the baseball one. Hey Bart, what's going on? This is David from Buffalo.

Forgot to give you my World Series up pick. I like the Brewers in six games. I think they've got the deeper team. I think they got the better manager. I think the other thing too is, is like you beat the Dodgers so handily.

I think now you come in the pressure. The pressure is off. I think to me the the Rays were lucky to beat. Cleveland. I mean, Cleveland had a great chance to win that series, and I think that rain delay last Friday night really helped out Tampa in that series, and that that was where momentum really swung the other way in their favor.

So the reality is, I think that I think the Brewers are the better team. Listening to that manager too that you guys have Murphy. He was on with Jim Gray and Belichick on the Let's Go podcast. On Monday night, I heard it on the NFL channel on Sirius XM, and man, did he really break down the way he puts together his team with the analytics and everything? He just sounds like a super organized, super detailed guy.

And I just think, to me, when you beat a team like the Dodgers, man, you're you're rolling, you're clicking right now. You know, the Rays had to beat Cleveland. Cleveland gave them a tussle in that series. I mean. You know, Cleveland to me is a.

I mean, they're probably they're one of the lowest payroll teams in the league. And let's face it, Tampa had a career year. The other thing too, you have to remember, Tampa in that series against the Yankees, they really struggled with getting runners in. You know, I mean, because the Yankees were just dreadful in that series. If they, the Yankees were just average, I think we might have had a different result.

So, I like the Brewers. Win the series. I hope you can see two world championships in five years, and I'll talk to you soon. Yeah, there. You know, that's another thing we haven't really talked about the the pressure aspect.

Like, they're they're not. I don't. Should they have pressure? It's the first time in forty four years, but they're not playing like they have it. Should the Brewers feel pressure?

I mean, I think everyone feels pressure when they get to the World Series. How do you not?

Well, you got to play in front of this guy. Oh, oh! How do you just burn that? Um, did you?

So I'm all wrapped up in Seth McClung's Twitter. He flew to Milwaukee hoping the Brewers would invite him to the stadium. Yeah, yeah.

So he watched he watched the game from the Deer District and then a private party at the Pritzlaff Building tonight. I wonder how much he charged. And then he went to the Highbury, and he was posting clips of himself just like hammered, talking to. Yeah. Like taking shots and just being like, what the fuck?

All right, anything else for you? No.

Yeah. Another game tomorrow. Seth McClung free podcast. Should I get him to do a post with us tomorrow? No.

No.

All right. All right, have fun at the Badger game. Yeah, what time are we leaving? I'll get you. I think you have at four o'clock.

Perfect. Yeah, I'm gonna go drink. All right, I am gonna go to bed. Big game tomorrow, buddy. Got a coach.
