Good NLCS, everybody. The Brewers are headed back to the National League Championship Series, beating the Padres tonight, three to one. Oh my good God! These were some nerve-wracking innings to finish this game. Wow!

Need to catch my breath. Very elated. Very joyful. Very excited. This is a Brewers team, man.

Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. All right. All right.

So very happy. I need to like. Get back into a frame of mind here to broadcast for thirty to forty minutes or whatever, because I am. Oh, I am. I'm feeling good.

Um, they they got the win. I'm feeling good, but I just I need to breathe here because it's it was a real tense ever since the bullpen came in. Yeah, ever since we got the three one lead, it was just. Intensity in ten cities, man. You're just trying to get through this thing.

You're counting outs. You're just trying to get it done. My wife's out of town, so I'm watching the game with the kid. Let him sleep in my bed tonight, and he eventually passed out as he would. But then, like the I bring this up because the last three innings, we have a bed and then we have a chair in the corner of our room.

It is. It is literally the cuck chair. We have a cuck chair. We have a chair in the corner of our room, and that's where I sat for the final three innings of this game. In in the cuck chair.

Legs.

So funny. Oh man, you just walk right into them sometimes. I have a cup chair, and that's where I sat. I needed an angle that was like. There were some pitches that I just I had to watch, you know, with your eyes through the thing.

You know who I'm happiest for tonight? It would better be me. The fine folks of Northwest Mutual who get to display their stupid, hideous, ugly jersey sleeve patch. For at least another four games, nobody, nobody deserves it more. It's not quite as sharp as a logo as the Pottawattamie Sportsbook logo.

As we spin our way up to seven seven seven, this is episode seven sixty four. I stopped at Pato today, made a little wager. I'll talk more about that with my guy Ryan Horvat tomorrow. But basically, I wish this Bucks win counted tonight against the Thunder. That was nice.

Okay, the broadcast is interviewing Garrett Mitchell now. Brewers, if Brewers win, it's three one. They win the series three one. Dodgers coming to Milwaukee. This will be on Sunday.

We'll probably get the time here. I I think at night should be at night. I don't know why it would be anything different, but it should be at night. Garrett Mitchell, who Last night, so we were all calling for Mitchell to be out for Lara, and Bowers to be out for Vaughn. And Bowers was great, and Mitchell was great.

And then Mitchell—it looks like Machado's going to hit a home run. Mitchell tracks it perfectly, catches it. The fans tried. The fans tried. I know there was a situation in New York tonight.

The fans tried, but even then, Mitchell was just like—he was just caught it, and then just you know, he's just so that's him.

So I'm I'm misreading him at the plate last night, not thinking that he wants to be there. He's smiling a little bit now because these guys are going to get hammered. I'm I'm just confused because when we were talking yesterday, I was under the assumption, just listening to the bourgeoisie, that the series was over, that the Brewers were eliminated, like it was over, it was done. All hell was breaking loose. The season was ruined.

And now they're advancing, so I'm very confused. Very confused.

Well, I'm glad you brought that up because, and I want to say this moving forward. I remember I got very heated, and we talked about this a little bit too. We talked about no, we talked about how the the Bucks were up three two, or down three two to the Nets, and I was adamant, just like we don't even. Even if it's bad, it didn't happen yet, so let's not like do that. You guys that were here—if you were present and live in the game three post game—you're going to need to apologize for your behavior last night.

It was appalling. A lot of we suck. It's over. That was our chance. And even if they lose tonight.

They go back to Game Five with Miz on the hill.

Okay, so you got to let these things play out. It's it's not going to be easy if the Brewers are going to win this series against the Dodgers, which would put them in the World Series for the first time in forty some years. It will not be easy. Not like it was for the Dodgers last year. That was pretty easy for the Dodgers, but it won't be like that for the Brewers.

It never can be. It never will be.

So if you're not prepared to go through the ebbs and flows, if you can't handle it, then don't come. Do not come. I'm gonna come. Don't come. You you're entitled to feel however you want.

You are entitled. I felt nervous. I felt nervous all game. But there's a difference between nervousness and here we go again. And I don't think if this is going to happen, I don't think we have room for here we go again.

So let's just not do that going forward. Yeah, I am talking down at fans. Then look, if you're going to be a piece of shit in my stream all night, then fucking leave. Because all look at, we're happy and we're going to be happy. But you guys were miserable last night.

And if I'm going to keep doing these pods, we're not going to do this every time they lose because they will lose again. And we're not doing it every time.

Okay, thank you. Right, they're going to lose at least two more games. They're going to probably lose three. Yeah, I don't probably four. Probably I, I, I'm gonna say right now, the Brewers.

Anyone that thinks the Brewers are gonna sweep, you're nuts.

So get prepared for another loss, and it may be a close one, and it may be because of missed opportunities. They're gonna lose a couple more times. The Dodgers could win this in four. The Brewers, I think, are gonna need six or seven to win it. Six seven.

Is that still happening? I literally hate you more and more every day. Let me also get this comment out of the way. Madtown Plane Spotter says FS1 still wouldn't give the Brewers any credit at the end of the game. I'm not normally one to complain about the national announcers, but their glazing of the Padres was ridiculous.

Let me let me just give you a little bit of a insight on on what you're watching here. You're watching. You're watching a pretty good booth. I mean, again, I am enthralled by what AJ and Wainwright are not broadcasting a game; they are having a conversation about what to do, who's coming in, how to pinch hit, and that is better. That I really like these two in the booth after not liking them as players their entire career.

Either of them, and I love them both. Yeah, I like I like the two of them. I think they have great rapport. I like how they see the game from different different vantage points. I like that they have different personalities, even though they were both kind of assholes during their career.

But they have different personalities, and they mesh well together. I think it's a great booth. I mean, Amin is obviously not the world's most experienced national baseball broadcaster. Let's face it. He got this assignment.

He had a couple days to prepare. That's how it always goes for these broadcasts. Listen, I don't know what people expect out of national broadcasters, and I hear this everywhere. But for whatever reason, in Wisconsin, it is ten times worse than anywhere that I've been in the country. There is always this belief: oh, these guys hate the Packers.

These guys hate the Bucks. These guys hate the. They don't. They don't. Well, okay.

So, Amin, Amin, Amin, Adam, the one Adam. He's calling. You want to. You want your call. Your call matches the moment.

The call matches the crowd.

So, if you're in a ballpark that's the home ballpark and the home team does well, naturally you're going to have a higher inflection because you're matching the environment around you. Like when I do games in like a high school basketball gym, I get loud when the crowd gets loud, and then if they're like you, I don't know. It's just you're people are thinking too much into it. And if you think this series was bad, Joe Davis is the Dodgers P by play man PXP. You're gonna not love that in this next series.

Also, if you're mad about A Rod and Jeter and. Big Poppy never taking the Brewers. They're never gonna.

So who cares?

So okay, all of the complaints out of the way. Let's celebrate. First of all, this bullpen was magnificent tonight. Um, and first of all, Gasser was magnificent tonight.

So we won the Josh Hader trade.

Okay, Devin Williams cried for nothing. Gasser was great. He gave up the home run to Teese. That was it. Ashby, three innings, no hits, brilliant.

That's that is incredible. I mean, the guy hasn't pitched three innings all season. He he leaves the National League for relievers in innings pitch. hasn't pitched a three inning game all year. Comes out and doesn't just give you three scoreless, three hitless innings, three strikeouts.

The guy was magnificent. He has been that way. All year long, and it's funny because on the rare occasion he has a hiccup, you hear everyone on Twitter crying that this guy is you know no good. And why do you keep going to him? The dude has just been lights out.

He was great, and they you know the the announcers talked about how he has experience as a starter, so he's not just throwing two pitches to try to get through these three innings. He can mix it up a little bit, and he did. Uribe. He got in there, good inning from him, and then McGill, good inning from him.

Now, obviously, with Uribe, there was the Machado almost home run, but Mitchell was under that and very close to fan interference, but did not need to be.

So our bullpen was great. They went to their bullpen early, very early. They were like trying to use everybody as if it was an all-star game. They brought in Miller when they needed to. Morjon must have been hurt, or whatever's wrong with him.

But they, yeah, they they use they use seven pitchers tonight. Brewers get the three one win. I am putting the link out. It was requested by our guy Austin. Austin joins us, me and Andrew Wagner, who I never formally introduced.

I just started talking, and then Wagner appeared. Austin, what's up, my brother? Hey. What's going on, Wigs? I'm a big fan of everything that you spew on the Winklerverse.

You make me laugh hysterically. But the Brewers today, man, you gotta you gotta give credit to Mitchell for coming back after what he looked like yesterday. Not just for making that snag. But for the plate appearance, and yeah, it was good to plate too. Yeah, so I think two for four.

I think you we're gonna have to. I think it's probably hard for Murphy to want to take him out of the lineup. Thoughts on thoughts on Garrett Mitchell? I think I think you still want to work Andrew Vaughn in some more.

Somehow, some way, but if the guys are going to produce, if if Bowers is going to produce, and now last night he was at the plate five times, walked one, struck out four. Tonight he walked three times, so he completely turned it around. Mitchell was two for four. I guess you could try to tinker other ways, like. I didn't have any faith in Joey Ortiz.

Joey Ortiz in the first inning stepped on third base, looked at like never really looked at first, had a chance to turn two and didn't. That could have been a big play if it didn't work out. But I think they were also thinking of what happened last night. I don't know at this point. Like if your guys are going well, Wagner.

I don't. I don't know where you put Vaughn in.

Some of these guys, some of these guys, got to be pinch hits. Like Gary Sanchez is not going to see a lot of at bats. Even I went aim log. Vaughn hasn't started since I think September nineteenth.

So part, if he's battling something, I mean, it just doesn't seem doesn't seem logical that he hasn't been in there in in that long and. Who knows? I'm not on the beat anymore, so I can't grill those questions. But it just seems strange to me that it's been that long since he started when there's been opportunities. I got Austin here, Andrew Wagner.

We're gonna bring in. Oh my god, they doing another letter? No, are they? Hold on, Eric. Hold on.

Another letter from Yuke. Can you guys hear that? Barely. And we got the pinch run after the third out.

Okay, I don't want to hear this shit. Often, how often do you? What? What's that? Who is watching Murphy?

Turn down Murphy. Who's watching Murphy? How often do you use conditioner? Are you like? I'm an everyday, everyday conditioner kind of guy.

Okay.

Okay.

So, got good, good body. Me too. Yeah. Eric, what did you think of the game? Let's go to Eric.

Holy shit! Nerves through the roof. Pins and needles, man. The whole thing. You know when I thought, you know, when I actually thought the Brewers were going to win this game was in the first inning when Machado bunted, which was smart, but then he like celebrated as if they just won the game right then and there.

I am like, I am like, okay, guy, let's like, you got eight more innings to go here. How about that when he when Mitchell. Rob that home run, but as Machado finished off his swing, he blew a bubble. Oh fuck that guy! And I get that people boo him off of like the Aguilar thing from years ago, but I mean, I think people boo him just because he's such.

A douche.

Well, now they're booing our guys. They were booing Jackson. Hey, did you see the the guy giving him the finger in the in the outfield the other day? Oh, I did. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Screw it. It's fun. Totally hustle.

Fun. This is the story of the one. As a shipping manager, he's running the dock, stocking supplies, and making sure every order goes out on time. And Grainger helps him stay prepared. Um, shout out to Wisconsin Sports two four six two six. Is it is your name Andy? I think the guy's name is Andy. I forget. He says that Mitchell Rob felt like Durant's tall in the conference semifinals.

No, no, don't go there. That wall is that wall was Babe Ruth's wall. Jesus Christ! It was three feet high. Yeah, Babe Babe Ruth hit over little cat fence post.

That you let your cat escape your room. Yeah. What's that, Wagner? Wagner. Nice to see someone reference Durant.

Giannis, belongs on Durant. Um. Tom says Cooper needs to clean up his D. Dodgers will capitalize. I guess.

I mean, there's a play late that you didn't love, but. He made. He was solid the rest of the game. Yeah, he made up. Oh, I gotta follow this up.

Thank you, Mdk. How'd the gas station merch hunt go?

So last night, Wagner and I were talking about these pop up gas stations that sell different merchandise.

So my plan today was to drive to a bunch of them and then buy a bunch of gear.

So I went down to the one on Blue Mound. And no, yeah, Blue Mountain and Holly, my old, huh? My old neighborhood. Yeah, the Sitco. And I pulled into the drive.

I pulled into the parking lot, and they were like still setting up the tent, and it was already eleven o'clock.

So first, I was like, you know, the tent up by eleven. I'm not. I'm not coming over here unless you got a wild oiled machine. Also, the merch looks way worse in person. And what I realized was, I don't have, like, I don't have money to to waste on bits.

Is what I don't have right now. I can't go buy gas station shirts just for 4.2k views on Twitter right now.

Okay, so that bit. My my maybe now that we're in the NLCS, by the way, fuck yes, um, but I don't I don't know about that bit yet. Oh, oh, you fart? No, my cat just cropped us to. Yeah, I was talking to Carlos this week.

His dog farted on him. You guys and your pets. You guys, you guys with people with pets. I don't know, man. Yeah.

All right. Any? What else do we got for you, Eric? What other thoughts? I'm gonna head out.

Hold on, I'm getting to you in a second.

Okay.

Sorry, Eric. First. I I think this team is well-oiled machine. We you know we used to live and die by the long ball back in the day. Uh, now it's it's pure baseball.

I mean, we don't we don't need the long balls. How many were there in the series? Two.

Well, I will probably need him against the. We'll need him against the Dodgers for sure. Um, Joy Ortiz needs to get the bat going. It was good to see Mitchell get the bat going. Yelley's surprisingly hanging in there and not striking out so.

Yeah, Yellis is great. He's been great. Austin, I mean, I don't think there's been anybody that's really sucked in the series. Granted, it's only been three games. Yellis, Yellis, looking good for now.

I don't think that they need the long ball to win. I think. That the hashtag win our way jargon that they came up with is actually makes sense. There was no claws up. Claws up was one time my friend texted me that when they made the playoffs that claws up, and I said I don't drink white claws.

I didn't know what claws up was. Oh, did you want a laugh track? I'm sorry. Did you want a laugh track for that? No, no, that's a real story.

Some hit the. Can you hit the punchline again? Hit the punchline again.

Okay, so some lady that I worked with sent me a text when the Brewers made the playoffs and said, "Claws up," and I said, "I don't drink white claws." No. You said you don't drink White Claws. Cause Claws up. Yeah. But I didn't even know that was a slogan.

Yeah, I didn't know that was a slogan. They lost. They they lost. It was that the Braves year 2022, correct? I think it was the Braves year.

Twenty one, 2021, then. It was 21. They didn't even have a game at home. It was okay because 2022 two was the one when I called you bitching against what was that? The Diamondbacks, and you said I was shooting at an asteroid.

Yeah, I don't know what that means. I was just yelling that. I don't know. I have a clip of it.

So anyway, all right. All right, you guys. I'm gonna say bye, Eric and Austin. Good to see you guys. Gonna listen to you guys.

Keep popping on during the run here. We're gonna be live after all these games. All right, later, guys. Bye, Eric with Miller Park Minute, Austin as well. I just want to prove what?

Huh? When do you when when do you start staking out your parade spot? No, I can't do that. When did you do it for the Bucks? Did you did you wait to the finals?

I waited to the finals. They were down two nothing.

Okay.

They were down two nothing, and then I put them out. I feel very disappointed that you didn't stake out a parade spot for the NBA Cup. What kind of fan are you? When I went to Monday Night Raw two weeks ago, I took a picture of the Cup banner. But I never posted it.

That went in the file of. There's a lot of files on my phone that I never get to get around to using, including this one to prove that I was at Sitco today. I was there. I'm looking for pop-up merchandise tents for the playoffs, specifically at gas stations. I'm at Holly and Blue Mound.

There it is. Found one. And then I pull into the driveway, and then I look and I go, "I'm not doing this shit." But I was there. I just want to. I just want to prove I was there.

It was very important to me that I proved that I was there. He gave it eight, buddy. It was very important to me that I proved I was there. Let me just check a couple of comments here. Recently, Tough says, "Grew up in Milwaukee, huge Brewers fan." After the '94 strike, I gave up on MLB.

Same '98 brought me back though. Watches maybe 12 games since Packers sucks, so now I'm all the way back in. Still hopeful for the Pack, but go Brewers. Packers don't even Packers. Packers shouldn't even be on your radar for the next at least week.

Don't they play the Bears this week? Who cares? Let them have Packers week. I don't care. It's Dodgers week.

Ock from an NFL team owner. It's Dodgers week. Complicated fella says Tereng needs to be more productive. He needs to get on base at least once a game. His regular season hitting.

Is so much better. Have you? He had one at bat in each game against.

Now I can't think of the reliever's name. Damn it! All four games he faced this dude, and I can't think of his name now. Rodriguez. No.

It was Rodriguez in every game, or it was Matsui. Matsui. Matsui. Yeah, he faced. Yeah, they both those guys were in a bunch.

Have you talked to guys over the years? Like they were talking about this on the broadcast because they were talking about this mid at bat with Tatis. They were saying he just lost his like timing. Then he hit a home run, but like, how do you? How are you so good?

And then come the playoffs, you're just not. I know with Braun and Fielder, one year it just seemed like everyone got tired. It just seemed like they got tired. I think there's no. The book is out on guys.

Like, there's no secrets. You have enough video. The pitching is just better when you get to the postseason. You're usually in this day and age of baseball, you're usually facing a different guy every time you come to the plate, and they're fresh and they're throwing ninety-eight on the black. They just it's just better pitching, more data available, and sometimes you just.

You just hit that wall. I mean, it can be a combination of things. I don't think that. First of all, I found out Craig Stammen was the manager like two weeks ago. I didn't realize that he was managing because in baseball, I can't name you more than five managers, probably.

Yeah, they should be who then managed the Mets into the toilet after they fired Mendoza. Yeah, so it's like who's where, but I don't, I don't think that they, I don't like their bullpen management this year. I don't like that these guys were pitching every day.

So then that that let the Brewers see what they had to expect. They talked about that. I thought the plan today was weird with Bueller and Ray. If you have two guys that. They should give you five innings at least.

I think they only gave a three and two thirds or four. I don't know. The whole thing just seemed weird. They were playing in desperation. They would have had they would have had nobody Friday.

Nobody.

Okay, we didn't pitch Dronin. We didn't pitch Harrison. We didn't pitch Patrick.

So now, game one against the Dodgers, you got Miz and all those guys available, plus four days of rest. They're in good shape. I mean, they're in really good shape. They were in good shape coming in today. Just all those names that you mentioned.

There's been so many questions about the Brewers, especially the starting rotation going into the postseason, and so far, I mean, you can you can say that that Derek Mayo is the weak spot. But even his outing wasn't too bad. Like they're they're in great shape pitching wise, and they're starting pitching. You know the question marks are after Henderson and in in Miz, and they haven't missed a beat. Granted, it's only four games.

There's a long way to go, but and and the challenge is obviously going to be tougher against the Dodgers. But they've held their own so far. I'm just going to correct you because I think that you're you actually made the mistake because of how smart you are. Derek May played for the Brewers in 1995. His father was Dustin May.

Derek Derek May, who is now the director of the baseball division for Rise Above Sports Group, he was he was here in 1995. Yes, son of major leaguer Dave May, who played for the Brewers as well. Lee was traded for Hank. Oh, he had two stints with the Brewers, and he's on the Wall of Honor, folks.

So there you go. Dustin May will not be some good questions from Tom.

So he's asking, he's asking if you go, Ms. Henderson, and now Gasser starts Game Three over May. I don't know that it matters. I really don't think so. Because you're three and four, because you're one.

So you want one, two, three, four, and then Miz would pitch five, and then available for seven is typically how it goes, right?

So if May pitches three, if May pitch, yeah, I don't know. We'll see if it's trending where they like need a win. Maybe they feel better with Gas instead of May. But if they're up two nothing or even one one, I I don't know that I don't know that May because. Even Gasser only pitched four innings.

It's not like he had seven innings tonight. It's not.

So I don't. They've got. They've got. That's the thing; they've got options. You know, you you mentioned Patrick, you mentioned Harrison, you mentioned Gasser, you mentioned May.

Like, they have options, and if they decide to go with a quasi bullpen game in their, you know, you don't even have to use your big guns because you have so many guys capable of giving you multiple innings. You just have to get yourself out of the mindset of of thinking about the traditional starting pitcher going five, six, seven, eight innings. And I get everyone wants to complain about it, but it's the best way to win a ball game sometimes. And for the Brewers, that's something that works to their advantage. Um, Tom also asked, does Yelich play beyond this year?

Oh, I did have the. But what if they win? They win it all. You think he's just like? No, I don't think that at all.

What's he going to do? Be old for the next four years and play eighty games a season with his back? I don't think he's going to hang it up. He might as well just be the bench coach. You think he'll manage someday?

You think he's our next council? Do you think him and Mike Antoniazzi will own the team together? Oh God, the possibility endless. Bart Ben is joining us. Hey, Benny, what's up?

Brewers victory, baby! Let's go! We're lift the spirits, you guys. We're moving on. Yeah, dude, I'm pumped.

We did. We started the podcast airing our grievances. We were very upset about how everyone was in a pissy mood last night and gave up. No, we don't give up. You you better not give up.

Hell no, man. We got we beat a better team this year than the Cubs. We are more prepared for the Dodgers than we've ever been. This this is our opportunity. It's it's gonna go deep though.

It's gonna be six or seven games. Here's a compliment from Wagner for Wagner. Corey says Wags in these post games is dope as fuck. Look at you. Wagner has all the knowledge, Bart.

Do you do you wish you were in the locker room right now? No, no. What else do we got here? Wish Woodruff could have played in the playoff. Oh, you're you're like in and out now.

Are you trying to talk? Me? No. You hear me? No.

Wagner. Oh. Andrew. You. Nohiri.

Speaking. Nohiri. Yeah. Fix that, Corey. You.

Here we just talked to. Up, Corey. Hey, hey. Um, I realized I just turned this on and I got the TV going at the same time. Give me five seconds.

I'll turn off that. I'll mute it. Hold on. Jesus Christ, you guys! He's wearing Bart's favorite jersey.

Oh yeah, he is. What was wrong with your audio? I don't know. Every time you would like bring somebody in, I'd lose all audio, so I'd have to reset my headphones.

Okay, that is a problem that I've been having with Streamyard, and I I sent them a very nasty email recently, and then um, and they said we'll get back to you in four hours, and that was a week and a half ago. I'm trying to bring Corey, and can you hear? Are you good? Corey's bad. Yeah, now I'm good.

Now I'm good. Wagner, Wagner, mic check one, two. Jesus Christ, Corey. I don't know since you kicked Wagner's audio off. Oh my god, and he's dope as fuck.

Yeah, and your audio's all shit too. All right, well I'll just bail. Yeah, just get the fuck out of here. I mean, got the bandwidth, I guess. All right, go Brewer, go Brewers!

All right, so now we're back down to Andrew and Ben, guys. What's up, Legs? Yeah, I'm here. Yeah, Mitch says Corey looked like Bernie Brewer. Yeah, Corey's man.

I don't know what this means. Jason says, "I want this team to win." Character, I feel baseball. You know who's not in here is all those Padres fans that were sniffing around the last few days.

Somebody did mention that the Padres should have swept. Crazy. Just go away. Go away. They should have swept.

I mean, I guess they could have swept. Yeah, in a completely alternate reality. Yeah, I'm so glad we kept the runs to a minimum. Like this is a good hitting baseball team, and our pitching staff really showed up. I I think we're ready for the Dodgers.

I really do. The scores in this series was three, two, four, three, four, three, three, one. I mean, if you go if you go game five, and it's anything like this. It is. I don't know what to compare it to because I don't know any others off the top of my head.

But it's as good as a DS series as you're ever going to get. I also still do think this series should be seven. I agree. To go from three to five to seven is so stupid. I like it, but then you have to give up regular season games, and the owners are never going to give up.

Eight dates. I mean, I I I I like the wild card series at three. I agree that the DS should be seven games, but there's just no way to do. I mean, they're already starting the season, you know, late March. You can't push it up any further, and you can't push it back any further, or you're playing into mid-November.

So, unless the owners are willing to give up regular season revenue, you're not going to see the two games added. Adam says, "Did Tereng do enough to convince you he might be out of his slump?" Yes. Um, Tereng was okay. Tereng had a few shots like down the line. We had a lot of shots down the line.

Churio had one I thought was going to fall. Mitchell's was fair by like the thinnest of margins. Joey was swinging for the fences that one time, that one at bat when we were in, I think, the bottom of the eighth or top of the eighth, two outs. I would like to hear. I probably won't get it tonight, but I'd like to hear.

I don't think it's the worst thing that ever happened. But in the beginning of the game, in the first inning, Ortiz stepped on third, could have thrown over to first. It looked like and got a double play, but he chose just not to throw it at all. And with what happened last night with Bowers and Pratt, maybe he was thinking that the team talked to him. I mean they they showed the shots of that.

They they they talked to him afterwards. Do you think no run scored, so it wasn't terrible, but. Who knows what could happen? I thought he lost count. Like the look on his face, I thought he was walking like in to the to the dugout.

Somebody had messaged me that they thought Levering thought there was like a stoppage of play or something because they were so confused about what he was doing, why he wasn't doing anything. But yeah, all's well that ends well. In that situation, I also love the broadcast. Um, talking about Kurt Hogue's story that they referenced but did not credit, where Jake Bowers was going to quit baseball and then he didn't because he needed health insurance.

So that's even true in Major League Baseball. That's why I was going to run for for governor just to get the health insurance. Yeah, I mean, you got to find something where you get like. Residuals or a pension. I was a year and a half away from a SAG after pension.

You know, you know that. I could have got a pension for. I had to sign up for SAG after the Actors Guild to work on Infinity for some reason. I was a year away from my Hall of Fame vote when BBWA kicked me out, and I was a year away from my MLB Gold Card when the Brewers kicked me out.

So, oh. Mine, I think, is lesser than that. But you can say you were there. That's that's something. Would you vote for Roger Clemens?

He got a big announcement tonight. Did you see that? I did not. I got. I'm.

I'm watching the game. I get a breaking news alert from the Athletic, and it says, "It says Trump's giving Roger Clemens presidential medal Medal of Freedom." I don't need a fucking breaking news alert at midnight for that, do I? I think you'll survive. Roger Clemens should be in the Hall of Fame. Agreed.

Agreed. And Barry Bonds. Agreed. Agreed. I I just am always disappointed that he used steroids because he was a great player without them.

I don't know how long he used them for, but. I am a little conflicted on what to do about OJ. I mean, in some he had a career. What do you can't just pretend the career didn't happen? Never saw it.

I don't know. Right? I really watched. Never saw it. All right.

No, I have no, I have no opinion. My dad, my dad was the biggest OJ Simpson fan in the world. Oh wow! He had so many OJ things. And he loved OJ, and he probably had more OJ Simpson cards than anybody.

And and and then and then you know he allegedly, well, he was found guilty in civil trial. But what kind of judge of character are you, Dad? There's apparently a party at Miller Park tonight. Who knew?

Well, if they're doing their watch party, they need to stop calling it a beer garden because it's not a beer garden. There are actually certain elements that are required to be an actual beer garden according to German law, and the brewers are not adhering to that. Oh, are we going back to two three two in this playoff? We are, aren't we? No, I'm out of here, guys.

Have a good night, go Brewers!

So, basically, the World Series is going to be won by a team that hasn't won in a long time, or ever, or the Dodgers. What are the chances that the one year that I'm finally out is the year the Brewers go to the World Series, and it's against the White Sox?

So it wouldn't have required any flying; it just would have been all driving. Yeah, I think that was a hell of an atmosphere, by the way, in Chicago. I don't know if you caught any of that game.

Some, yeah. That's you always talk about what it should be like in Milwaukee, like singing "Na na na na, hey hey goodbye" as their pitchers leaving the mound. Like it was a shit show down there. I think the fact that it would have been so easy for you. It's just going to be another twist in the like.

They are winning it because because your of your sacrifice. And you don't even really like the team. Yeah, I don't like anything or anyone. I don't even like myself. I like you.

Why? What do I see in you? Forget my dad and OJ Simpson. What do I see in you? Your information may be for sale online.

I have the the game right there. I don't want to reach and get it though. But we'll do our picks tomorrow morning. He says you should have put a laugh track on OJ. Is Craig Council throwing out the first pitch on Sunday?

Do you think anyone's asked like Craig like? For an interview, you think anyone? You think Craig's gonna show up at any of the games, like in the Bobby Valentine glasses and mustache disguise? You know, sometimes when a coach gets bounced, they bring him on for coverage. Like James Franklin would always be on the Big Ten championship game, or Bruce Pearl, I think, did that before he got into it full time.

It's shocking that no one's asked him because he's so well spoken and eloquent. People that the only people that snort as much as he does when speaking are like legit cokeheads. Should I reach out to Craig? Craig, I'd like to have you on our post-game show with our MLB insider. Craig, don't know if you remember me.

I stood there a lot and barely ever said a word. I'm doing post games with Andrew Wagner. Would you like to join us as a contributor? You can swear. Yeah, you can.

You can swear. He probably. I bet you. I bet you. I bet you.

If I did the whole thing, like if I got Craig to join, if I actually got Craig to join. On these podcasts, the first time we had him on, I bet you he'd pop up and just be like, "Oh, no video, guys. I'll just, I'll just be my voice. I'll just." No, sounds about right. Yeah.

Oh, okay, all right, all right. God. Uh. Um. I mean, Murphy's his best friend, isn't he?

Supposedly, so. Is he rooting for him? I don't know. He's probably in Lake Geneva with all the other Chicago Whitefish Bay douches. I believe this game's going to be at seven o'clock.

Yeah, I keep looking to see if they've announced the times yet. There's just no other chance that it would be any other time. Maybe communications has blocked me on Twitter. Shut up. Yeah.

No. Yeah, as has that Pete Bukowski dork, Pete Blackie, for calling him out for the dumbest fucking tweet about baseball ever. I'm trying.

Okay, I got it. I got a life hack idea. I'm gonna pull up the schedule for FS1. Cause this game, it's on FS1 still, right? I believe it's on Fox now.

Fox on Sunday. No, Fox and Sunday has the window set aside for, um, animation domination. Mmm.

So Fox, you know, Planet Fitness will not show the Brewers playoff games on FS1. They refuse they They would rather have a blank TV airing the nothing that is the former Fox Sports North than change the channel to FS One. What? What? What?

Yeah, yeah. When I was working out tonight, I asked if they could change the TV to the Brewers game, and they said, "No, we're not allowed. We're not allowed." Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Yeah. Um.

Right now, Fox Sports One is scheduled to air women's college volleyball on Sunday night, but I don't think it's new. I think it's just it's on the the lower third on FS1 right now. Says Dodgers at Brewers Sunday, seven PM on Fox. On Fox. Yep.

Oh, okay. All right, so we could have had a we could have had a Packers Bears into Brewers Dodgers, but then they moved the Fox. They moved us to noon. All right, well, all right. Here's the schedule.

Then I am going to do a pick show with Horvat Thursday, and then Friday and Saturday I'm doing nothing. And then on Sunday, I'll do a Packers post and a Brewers post. I think that's that's fair, yeah. Free tickets and beer for all NLCS games, but you had to drive down, tailgate, and watch with Matt Lafleur, Spiro Ditas, and Craig Council. Oh yeah, I I like.

Spike their. All right, let's see anything else about this game here. Tom thinks they actually lost the remote and they just don't want to turn it.

So we got the Rays advancing. What's the White Sox series? Two one. Yeah, Cleveland came back and won today nine three to stay alive.

Okay, so that game is going to be tomorrow night for Game four, I believe. We should go. You want, you want, you want to go? Let's go. I guess we could go.

My kid has baseball practice. Actually, he's in fall ball. All right. So, I'm going to go to that instead. Anything else I want to talk about here in this game?

Let's see. Cheerio, yell. Let's just look at the box score. Oh, this came up in the comments. Contreras again with a first inning challenge.

He is so bad at it. He is, and then yesterday he also used a challenge as a batter.

So it's like they're only for him. Pratt used it tonight when it was a two zero count that could be three zero. I remember a story in spring training, and I think it was he was either Jack or or stupid Kurt about how the Brewers came up. Cards and green cards on when to challenge. What?

Then MLB said that they couldn't do it, but they acted like they were reinventing the wheel, and they figured out how to master the system, and they just suck at it. The Brewers absolutely suck at these challenges. I don't know if it's the Brewers. It might be one specific Brewer that's really bad. And then he always does the face like.

Whoever said he looked like a reptile yesterday? I haven't gotten that out of my head yet. There was a there was a call in the ninth where he could have challenged it, and he would have won it, but they burned him early. And and we did have I took screenshots because I wanted to bring these up, these moments up. Um, when the Brewers in the sixth inning, they scored one run.

But they had was that the Mitchell triple in the sixth inning? Because you get a triple and then you are like, "Oh God, how are we not gonna?" Yeah. Oh, that was the Mitchell tripled in the eighth. When the hell did Mitchell triple? When did he hit a triple?

Come on! Oh, that was in the fifth. All right, so in the fifth inning, Mitchell triples. And then Ortiz grounds out. Churio, thank God, had an RBI.

Contreras flew out and Terang flew out, so there were men left on base in that inning. Not good. Sixth inning, they had guys on second and third with no outs. Frelick hit a sac fly, and that was their only run.

So they again had chances to like extend this thing. I thought there were a few times you could go to four one or even five one, but I also didn't. And and shout out to Goodland Championships, the newest member of the Donation Club. You pay about three ninety nine a month and get nothing. People actually pay you for this shit.

It's the Donation Club. I have a tip jar on my Twitter page, and I don't think there's one person that's ever used it. One person. And your Twitter is by Andrew Wagner. Yes.

Okay, so if everyone here goes and gives Wagner one dollar in the tip jar, I could pay my rent. Maybe fix my brakes. Maybe live in a matchbox. Maybe we could get Wagner three bucks. No, for God's sake.

Um. So thank you to Goodland Championships. But I was saying something and I forgot. Oh, Frelich, second and third, sixth inning. We get one run, but the other thing with the Padres was it didn't feel like they had two runs in them.

It did not feel like that. Not against their bullpen. You said this early on, and it didn't really play out like that. But it was, and we both agreed: whoever got the lead first was going to their pen and. That was it, and good luck because both of these bullpens are practically unhittable.

The Brewers got that lead, and they held on to it. I mean, nothing was happening against that bullpen. And I think if it would have gone the other way, if if the Padres would have eked out, you know, that little bit of a cushion, I think I think the game goes exactly the opposite way, and we're coming back home for Game Five. Tim's fork Mike says Brewers felt in control all night. They sort of did.

They felt like it was certainly their game to lose.

So, like how we won at the skin of our teeth the other night. If the Padres would have come back and won, like in the ninth, that would have been really. I don't know what we would be doing right now. That would have been really hard to handle. I would have.

I would have laughed. I would have laughed. I would have enjoyed this podcast. I would have enjoyed seeing the overreactions and the shit show and the panic and the pants shitting. Um, John says potential schedule conflict next Sunday with NLCS and Packers Cowboys.

There, there's no conflict. They might be at the same time, but there is no conflict. Ben says he does not see your tip jar. Huh? What the hell, Andrew?

I don't know. Used to be on there. Oh, now it's Twitter Money. See, now it's Twitter Money. You do?

I didn't know they changed it. Yeah. So now you might be fucked. Michael says, "Other than that, Machado scare Padres didn't have a hit after the third inning." Yeah, that was yeah. Not after third.

It was after yeah. It was after Tatis's home run. Oh yeah, Machado. Yeah, so that wasn't a hit. Yeah, yeah.

And I did not think off the bat it was gone. Oh, also. This Fox, you want to be mad at Fox? They are overdoing it on the behind camera angle. I don't know what's a strike.

I don't know what's going on. I mean, it's a cool camera, but it's just like when Brewers TV got that drone. My uh, my good buddy Will, who works on the the camera crew, when we watch a game, he hates the drones. Like it's it's a drone just for the sake of having a drone. Yeah, like the drone shot is cool.

Not thirty times a game. Yeah, it's unnecessary. Yeah, and we got a drone.

Okay.

Oh, they did get rid of the tip jar. Yeah, with the Frank. Ah, it's going to be hard against the Dodgers, but this offense needs to find a way to have an outburst or two in this series. Yeah, you're gonna need to score more than three runs. Oh yeah, Brewers are gonna have their work cut out for them.

That's for sure. But I'm already sick of the whole storyline about the payrolls and the pending lockout and all this shit. There was a story today on ESPN.com, and I actually meant to send you the link because there was one line in there that I thought would really piss you off. But it was all about like you know, will the Brewers or Rays winning the World Series change the narrative about the lockout? But there was one line in there where an NL executive, I think it was an NL executive, just said, "Well, it's not about their payrolls.

It's just that the Tampa Bay and Milwaukee markets are bad markets." I'm like, okay, Tampa I agree doesn't draw a dick, but how can you say Milwaukee is a bad baseball market? I mean, they're the smallest market in the game. And I think they're top ten in overall attendance. Like, how can you say that's a bad market? I will say this: one, I like that the Rays are wearing their throwbacks right now.

Okay, and then I wore a Brewer shirt out today. I got to go, Brewers. Wear your Brewer shirts, and if you see somebody wearing a Brewer shirt. Don't think I would be lame if I said go Brewers. They want you to say go Brewers.

We gotta say go Brewers. Go Brewers. Go Brewers. Wear your shirts. Get your Winklerverse merch for the pennant race.

Maybe I'll come up with a blue and yellow. I'm gonna come with some blue and yellow gear real quick, and then I'm gonna go. I signed up for uh, I signed up for Twitter money, and I got twenty five dollars. Yeah, I got 15. What the fuck do you get 25 for?

I don't know. I guess I'm a big deal. Yeah, but then then they take all your data. Who the fuck doesn't have it already? I know who does.

Who doesn't? You know you know me. You know how many apps I have where I take pictures of my receipts for Amazon gift cards. Do you know where my data is? Every fucking where.

You want to know what porn and how much I watch? Have at it, because that's about all you're going to get from me. Yeah, I don't even go Google incognito anymore. I just throw it up on the Amazon Fire Stick. Don't give a shit.

All right, Wags, good to see you. I got to get to bed. I fell asleep at the library today. Another boy. Yeah, I took my kid there.

It's Lego Club every other Wednesday. Fun. Yeah, you build Legos, while the three librarians supervise you over everything you build and do. It's like, what is the point? But I just sat in a chair and fell asleep.

Sounds like a blast. You go to bed. My kid go. I'm in a drink. I had him go.

Where's my daddy? I was like, I'm over here. All right, I'm just glad we don't have this game on Friday. We're back on Sunday, Wagner. Good to see you.

You' back in the NLCS, right, player? Hooray! I'll be back with you. Bye, Bart. See you.

Wagner said yes to this. I don't think he wanted it to go that long. Poor guy. Last night, I did crack into the happy ham. Happy place M before I went to bed, but now I'm out.

So now I gotta I gotta get a reload. Happy place M dot com promo code Bart, twenty five percent off. Guys, the Brewers are in the NLCS again, and we didn't expend all our energy against the Cubs like we did last time. We're fresh, we're good, we're confident, we're ready to go. Don't pull the same bullshit you pulled in this series.

We will lose games. It will suck. But this team is different, and you know why. And so let's keep riding this together. What's up, Kowaskum?
