Good Good afternoon, everybody. Welcome into the Winklerverse. I'm Bart Winkler. Great to be with you on this Tuesday. Tuesday, typically in mm-hmm day.

We'll have Grant and Paul tomorrow.

So, today, just going to jump on around the normal recording time and spew some thoughts. There's some things going on in this brain that I would like to get out of the brain and also discuss with you guys. If you're watching live, as always, I will put the link up. In the comments, if anybody wants to join, if anyone's able to join at this random time on this random Tuesday, not so random of a Tuesday in Wisconsin. It's a primary day.

Make sure you get out and vote. You'd be surprised, maybe, at who I voted for. I voted for the guy that's like 22 years old running against Tom Tiffany that is proposing five mega cities. I don't know what I'm talking about. I just saw this weird thing today online, and then I was like, that's weird.

And then I saw his name on the voting sheet. I didn't vote, I didn't actually vote. For that, you'll be not surprised to know that I voted in the Democratic. Primary But who I voted for I did not, I didn't do it. I didn't do it.

I will later. But I didn't do it today.

So that's where I stand. As you probably already know, maybe a little bit of a surprise in there. Who cares? I took my son with me. I actually let him vote.

I think he wrote he wrote in Mandela Barnes. It was crazy. I didn't even know he knew. who he was.

So make sure you get out and vote. You know. Whatever. Has anybody ever? Like Done that.

Like, has anybody ever said, hey, get out and vote? And then you're sitting there like, oh, fuck, that's right, Bart. Yeah, Bart, I will get out and vote because you just said it just now. I will get out and vote. And my vote will be like.

Meaningless. I love how like I was talking with people about who I'm voting for and then. It's not gonna, I mean, it matters. It does matter, but one single vote. Doesn't matter.

Now, if everybody thought that one single vote didn't matter, and I know Larry David. Did that on curb once Roberts voting three times a day. And just because of what I said.

Well, yeah, actually, I was in Appleton the last few days.

So I made sure to vote up there this morning. And then I voted down here. again today.

So I only got two in today. But I did do a mail-in ballot as well.

So I did get. I did get three in.

So three votes. Yeah, I try to do three. every cycle Because three, they might catch you. But they probably won't. And I also don't usually vote for the same person all three times.

So I throw him off the scent.

So that's, yeah, I'm with you there. The more you vote, the better. I just figure I'm voting for people that don't get up to vote or can't, or maybe there's somebody that wanted to vote and they were struggling to get out of bed today or they're sick or whatever. I voted for them. That's why I make sure to vote.

A few times every election. And I've got it set up so that my name will continue to be on the voter rolls long after I'm dead. And we had a pet dog growing up named Bailey. And she voted. She didn't vote.

We don't do her in the primaries, we just do her in the presidentials. But Bailey typically, Bailey girl winkler. Typically has a vote in there as well. I was in Appleton. I got some cards to open.

They have a really great card shop we found, Fox City's Cards. It's on Casaloma. And they've got like a bunch of wrestling cards. They don't have a lot of new cards, though. They got more packs of old cards than they have of new cards, which is exactly what I'm always looking for.

So we'll do a card break at the end of this episode. How's that sound? This is into the Winklerverse. Again, it is a random Tuesday. I'm Bart Winkler with you here today.

I got a voicemail to play and I got some other stuff to talk about. We are brought to you by Happy Place Hemp. HappyplaceHemp.com promo code is Bart.

Now, I've been talking about the Seltzers a lot. The seltzers are very good. And they've got the five and the ten and the twenty. They also make a gummy version. Of the seltzer.

So I had gotten a bag with like the drift branding. That was basically just the self.

So they were making seltzers because people like the gummy, so they made seltzers, but then they made a gummy version of the seltzer. And I didn't want to lug those around up to Appleton and back.

So I just had the packs, and the gummies were very good. Um The tens, I like to have. I like to have them. I think I had six of them over the course of yesterday. And I've been sleeping great.

So. Thumbs up to that. Again, just a personal testimonial. You got to try it for yourself. And you always get the 25% off order at happyplacehemp.com.

I'll throw that on the screen. Again, happyplacehemp.com. The promo code is Bart for 25% off. Title of this episode, at least on YouTube, and when I start to put it out. is La Fleur puff piece.

Brewers on the West Coast. Bucks back to national irrelevance and some other things I want to get into. Uh as well. Let's start with the Lafleur puff peas.

So I saw that The Athletic had an article today about Matt LaFleur, and I saw a lot of people starting to quote tweet it saying, interesting read.

Now this is an article by Jordan Rodrigue. Um I believe is her name. She is a general NFL reporter for the athletic. I don't know much about her. I think I Seen stuff that I like from her.

And I'm not saying this is a bad article in any way. But I did think it was a puff piece. I thought this was an article. Whether it was her intention or not. It makes LaFleur look in a good light.

And I'll talk about how I'm going to react to that, but I just want to talk about the article. in general. She interviewed LaFleur. She says, Matt LaFleur is trying to let go of his anger about things he can't control. In his office on a Sunday morning in early August.

The printer did not count as one of them.

So he was trying to print scripts, and the machine was glitching. Nobody was around to help. LaFleur started yelling at the printer. As we can all imagine him overreacting to something minor. Was my first thought.

I was livid. I couldn't get anybody to help, he said, laughing. Then LaFleur admitted It was a waste of time. He made fun of himself. I didn't respond the right way this morning.

But he's been thinking about this the last few months. I don't think I get as pissed off as I used to. I'm just like, all right, am I in control of this or not? I think a little bit more like that, or at least try to with a lot of things has helped me. to know what I can and cannot control.

So that's a good message. But let me immediately make this about. Me. Bart Winkler. I do have a hard time of dealing with things I can't control.

I do. And I'm trying to get better at that, just like Matt LaFleur.

So, kudos to us both. A pat on the back for Matt. And for myself. I also still Struggle with it. And He does something there.

That I don't This is what I've seen out of Matt LaFlore. Just this little, this little paragraph, I'm dissecting like I'm preparing for the. Uh bar here. Mad LaFleur talks about a situation. where in the moment he got really mad.

He got really emotional. I'm breaking this down. I'm honestly breaking down Matt LaFleur V printer. Mad LaFleur got really emotional because a printer wouldn't work. In the moment, he was very heated and spent too much energy on it.

Hours later, he can then look back and say, That was probably too much. What was I thinking? That's good to recognize, but I don't think that will correct the behavior. I think the next time Matt LaFleur is in a. Low pressure situation like that, he will still act that way.

I think LaFleur is many things. that disqualify you from being a good coach. And I think he's overly emotional. And that is one of those things. And I think he does get pissed off a lot, sometimes for show.

You know, when you're a kid and you learn a swear word and you say fuck 15 times because you think it's funny, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. The more I say, the least funny it gets. Apologies to the kids in the car, but get it out of their system and then they won't think it's as cool when they're older in life, perhaps. Also, swearing is a sign of a genius. And as you guys all know, Uh I am one.

of those. Stephen Jumpson from North Carolina. Bart, I'll come up to Green Bay for the October 29 game against the Panthers. If you supply me with a ticket. And a place to stay for the night.

Do you follow the retort with the Charlotte's? MLS team, maybe? Maybe. I would love to be able to take this request and say, you know what, Steven, come on up, have a ticket on me and lodging. But on the way home from appleton I played on my phone.

and did surveys. on a website called Swagbucks.

So I don't have money to afford that. Much less these zero sugar Mountain Dews. when they're not on sale. This one's pretty crisp. I do like these out of the bottle better than the can.

I do. But maybe it's just I like to hold the bottle better. I'm going to have a nice swig here. Hmm. Fucking hits, man.

This is probably the thing that I could not go without. Like if I had to give up whatever. I could do it.

Soda, specifically Mountain Dew, specifically zero mountain dew. It courses through my veins. I could not give it up.

Sometimes you'll go somewhere. Where Mountain Dew just isn't available. Like if you get out if you go to like a campground It's always just like Coke. or some restaurants. If the city is a town of something and not city of, a lot of times town ofs.

Don't have Mountain Dew. I went to Germany for two weeks in high school. When I came back, I probably fucking... down to 12 pack. Drinking a soda in this economy, I know.

That's why you got to get them on sale. You can get these. These six bottles, they were going three for 10. The grocery store had to have fucked that up. 'Cause I was getting a six pack for 333.

That's like 1990s prices.

So I take advantage. I'd like buy 12 at a time. But then there's that other guy in Shorewood that always Buys them too, those bastards. All right, yeah, drinking a soda in this economy. For sure.

With a State Farm agent, you know someone is there to help you along the way. And with so many coverage options, it's nice knowing you have help choosing a plan that fits your needs.

So you can continue celebrating all of life's milestones. Head to statefarm.com to get a quote. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. Frames. I could never understand why more places don't offer Mountain Dew.

Uh I know. It's so fucking good. Chuck would be a big like. Weren't you a two-liter guy? You just pop in a two-liter?

You want, come on, frames. What the fuck are you doing? What are you up to at two o'clock on a Tuesday? Prepping for the game. Brewer games in six hours.

Uh gotta prep. For sure. Brewers lost last night. I'll get into that in a second.

So I read this piece on the athletic about LaFleur, and I don't. My mind of him does not change. The opening story shows that if he can't handle his emotions in front of a printer. Yes, I am taking this. Anecdote to start a story.

And I'm making a big fucking deal about it. That is what I'm doing.

So Here's another paragraph. LaFleur is sometimes given the impression that he always has to be right. that he always has an answer or a rebuttal. His quickness can translate to excellent problem solving on the field, with the example being Malik Willis. But like most NFL coaches, LaFleur will admit that.

His acuity. can also be a gateway to anger or frustration when things don't go how he plans. Mad LaFleur. Gets way too much credit. For how Malik Willis played.

Truly. And I understand anytime I talk about Matt LaFleur. The prism from you through this screen to my face. Is already well, Bart already hates Matt LaFleur. And I do.

I don't like them. But that wasn't the default setting.

Okay. Like the default setting, it's election day. The default setting is: you're either a Republican or you're a Democrat. It shouldn't be that way, but that's what we got into.

So, you're going to view everything through that prism. That's the default setting. I'm not. a Matt LaFleur hater the same way that people are a Republican or Democrat. I'm a Matt LaFleur hater because I've watched this guy for seven years make me hate him.

With all the shit that he's doing. And so he'll get credit a lot for stuff. Here's why I don't think he gets credit from Malik Willis. Malik Willis wasn't as good as Jordan Love. Jordan Love has more skill.

Mad LaFleur did a poor job of highlighting all those different skills. If you know your quarterback can run. You just call runs. Or like play actions. Or shit that like Everyone knows how to do in football.

It's harder to get more. out of a better talent. Than it is to get the most out of a minimal talent because you know what the ceiling is, you know what he can and cannot do.

So the strengths Malik had, Lafleur played to. He had to coach less is what I'm saying. He has to work harder to make Jordan Love better because Jordan Love can do more things that opens things up more. And we've always talked about LaFleur holding love back because he doesn't know. How to coach this.

He knows how to coach someone who's very simple. In their play, and he still put Malik in positions where Malik had to make a good throw, and he always would. And that was on Malik. A lot of what Malik Was able to do was because of Malik, not because of LaFleur. And that also wasn't a, oh my God, I need to think quickly here situation.

That was, I have time to think about this. LaFleur, I've always said since the beginning, if he could pause time, Like with the printer, if he could just pause the printer, walk away, figure out how to solve the problem, he'd come back, he'd be fine. But he goes from like zero to sixty on emotions, and that's not going to work. The article also talks about he had a friend in coaching that passed away. Jeff Albrick.

I mean, that's very sad. That's very sad. And it's sad for his wife and the kids. It's very sad. I'm not saying it's not sad.

Now any but I say here sounds insensitive. I'm talking about from a writing standpoint. When you're trying to make somebody look more. He's recovered. That angle's playable.

is what I'm saying. I know, very offensive. Very very absurd. Very insecure of me or in whatever. But this article talks about how Matt LaFleur is good at this and he's, you know, he's grieving a friend.

But this year is going to be different. That's basically what he couldn't make the flight. He seems calmer this year. I I don't like this I don't like this paragraph. With all due respect.

But then both Parsons and tight end Tucker Kraft, who was quickly ascending and bringing the Packers offense along with him, got hurt. A 5-1-1 start became a 7-9-1 finish. The problem with the 2025 Packers is they did start good. Five, one, and one. Even though they shouldn't have tied that game and they shouldn't have lost the game they lost.

Then they finished nine And seven and one. And the five-game losing streak, it's easy for guys like me to shit all over that. to use that as a talking point. Against LeFleur, but even still. I know.

That love missed the game, and I know that they didn't really. care about the last game.

So I know that that's a stat I can use to benefit my argument, even if it's not totally genuine. I don't like people talking about, well, the season was over when Parsons and Kraft went down. Did it Blow up their Super Bowl aspirations. Potentially. Potentially.

Okay. Potentially it did. But it didn't stop them from losing to the Bears as they were up 21 to 3. They were winning. And then they lost that game.

So, what happens is when you're looking at the Packers season, people say 5-1-1, 9-7-1 lost in the playoffs. conveniently forgetting Good day. We're up 21 to 3 on the road. And that ultimately Is why I don't trust Matt LaFleur. Because in the playoffs, every bad thing that happens to him is like the fucking printer that doesn't work.

If I was watching myself right now, I would say, are you really still taking that first anecdote about the printer? From this puff piece article in The Athletic and making it a bigger deal. Yes! Matt LaFleur can't handle things that he doesn't expect. He doesn't expect the unexpected.

He needs to play more Madden. He needs to watch more Big Brother. Because when something happens that doesn't fit what he he freaks out Sure, he can laugh about it five hours later, but he's still going to do it the next time.

So, this is where I get to now with Mad LaFleur, August 11th, 2026. I don't want to have to root against the Packers. I think they have a good team. I think Jordan Love is still way better than everybody else is getting him credit for. I think we could look at him at the end of the season and say, without a doubt, a top five guy.

I think he can do that. He would have to elevate.

Okay, maybe one or two less boneheaded interceptions, as we always say, so that you don't get all scared about them. And your brother-in-law that roots for the Vikings can't. Tell you that one thing. Hey, by the way, your starter's Kyler Murray. Who lost the quarterback competition and then got the job?

Kyler Murray is not going to be good. In Minnesota. These are feelings I have. Kyler won't be good. Deshaun Watson's going to start and have a good four weeks and then suck again.

And the Rams are going to not be as good as you all think. And don't try telling a Bears fan they're going to regress. They can't believe it. They're going to regret us talking to him this weekend. What do you think about the Bears?

You know what I think about the Bears. I think they're going to regress.

Well, don't you think Caleb's good? Yeah, I think Caleb's on his way to being pretty good.

Well, he's more clutch than love. He made two pretty clutch throws last year and Yeah. They were pretty amazing. They got him the cover of Madden. J.J.

McCarthy was pretty clutch in week one against the Bears. Nobody thinks he's any good anymore. I don't want to give up on J.J. McCarthy because I drafted him in a fantasy league and then turned down first-round picks for him. But I also don't want him to do well because he's a Michigan man, and Adam Schefter is covering for him already online because he's a Michigan man.

What is it that people like? I wish you could just. You should have one thing. that everyone knows about you. We should be able to do that like Rich Eisen can type in.

I want everyone to know I'm a Michigan man. And then we just automatically know it. Because otherwise they tell it to you every chance they fucking get. Oh, Rich, you went to Michigan? Yeah, anyone who ever fucking seen you.

Oh, you ran a 40 once? Oh, you dipped out of your contract and helped kill the infinit Complicated fella.

So, Bart, is Goody buying the right groceries or is the cook le Fleur not making a fine dinner from scratch?

Well, Goody went to lacrosse, and as you guys may or may not know, I also went to lacrosse. I don't think either of these guys are a 10 out of 10. But I think If we had a different GM And the same coach? Our ceiling wouldn't be as high as same GM, different coach. And you can make your criticisms about Goudekins, that's fine.

I don't have them as much as the normal person. I also don't think any of it matters if LaFleur is the coach.

So, again, I don't want to root against the Packers. I don't want to. I want to root for them. My brother was watching Family Night the other night. He's like, I got whatever Packer football I can get my hands on.

I'm like, I don't know. I turned it on for a little bit. I don't like how they manning cast it now. Oh, here's Luke Fickle. What the fuck?

Shout out La Crosse. Why is Luke Fickle on my TV? Shouldn't he be losing more donors to Northwestern? But they're big Northwest, I know! It's not the fucking joke.

So article about LaFleur. I've changed even though I haven't. My friend is dead. I'm sad. I couldn't get on the plane.

The reason I thought it was a puff piece is because I read the whole article. And still thought it was a setup. For more.

Okay. But it wasn't, it just ended. M Shark says, Bart, did we crack the case during the chat at the tailgate? Please confirm if that is your parents' basement. And you just like Aaron Rodgers, made up your wife.

People are curious. I did not make up my wife. We've been married now for 13 years. Our son has recently turned seven. I live in a house.

My name is on the deed. I think that should answer your question.

So I don't, I don't, I don't, this isn't going to do anything about me and Matt LaFleur.

Now if I see Okay, I'm not just going to be dead against Matt LaFleur. If LaFleur starts changing his behavior, Like this article makes you want to believe he will. If he stops. Being Passive if he stops looking embarrassed when he's up 10 points. If he goes and gets some sort of killer instinct.

If he can use his emotions to help his team instead of always hinder. Then I can get behind Matt LaFleur. But I don't think He's capable of winning three high-pressure Playoff games in a row. I don't think Matt LaFleur can deal with a broken printer for three straight weeks. That's how I feel.

How about Matt LaFleur? All right, got a couple voicemails here. This first one is a 414 area code. Again, you can get your voicemails in. On the Carls Place voicemail line, 402-915-2278.

That's 402-915. 2278. I do have that banner somewhere. I lost my mic, or I lost my mouse. My mouse is broke, and I ordered a new one.

But we were out of town a couple of days and my neighbor has it and my neighbor's not home yet. Might as well just leave it on the porch. No one's taking that shit. But thank you. 402-915-2278-402-915-BAR.

T Robert wraps that up: says, I think we all know men in their 40s. Love saying they are changing and then just reverting back to their old selves. I'm in the process of doing that right now. See, I know. When I criticize things about Rogers or Giannis or LaFleur.

I'm I see how they're acting. I'm not just making it up. All right, got a voicemail looks like from Bonnie. This is Bonnie. Wait, wait, wait.

I just wanted to personally re All right, Bonnie, go ahead. Hey, this is Bonnie over at the Orlando Promotion Center. I'm going to let her know. You have a great day, okay? All right.

Okay, so Bonnie. is clearly not real. Um And this guy just gave up quickly. He's got to have a lot more challenges than that, you would think, right? Also, I haven't stayed at any of those places in the last three years.

At least not under my name. Do you guys think that was a sp Bam call? All right, I do have another voicemail. This guy. is more than legit.

This guy is Vincent and Anaheim. Let's see where this goes. Try it again. I'm getting another call from a Who's this? To accept, press one.

We'll be right with your Just one more moment. Feels close to Yeah. On freeze in your mind water on the way Keep that smile with you. Your vacation starts today. Almost there, almost there.

So, Bonnie is currently on another phone call. I'd be happy to assist you. My name is Mike in case you missed. Just tell her to call me back, okay? I lost the accent.

Bonnie's on another call. Yeah. Bonnie's not real. Ah. You wanna listen to Bonnie again?

Oh, thank you. To Matt. Putting it towards the drink package on the cruise, $5 from Matt. I shouldn't have to. I'll put it towards the port tax.

Here's Vincent and Anaheim. Hey, what's up, Bart Anaheim? You know what's up, Call? Check-in. I just got done.

December 18th, 2025, podcast into the Wink River. And they had Romney Naklov on, and then they're talking about what you're going to do for your last national show. Wow. Still, that's a shame what happened to you, Bart. You know what I mean?

And it's the fact that for me personally, Like I said, I like listening to you. That's why I still follow you to this day. Uh I feel the same. Um currently How some of the stations, you know, what's up, WSSP, man, not giving you a spot or anything, even a fill-in spot, man. But they give that full C, whatever the fuck his name is.

Uh that's a whole damn show. Defoe used to be the damn, I don't know if he started on that station, so I don't know. But for me, when the other four came from the game all the way over to the news station to the WSSP again, I was like, Man, that's black, bro. That's what we used to be the enemy, you know what I mean? But anyway, man, so I I I you know, I knew I knew you you did you did lose your national gig uh before, but you know, uh according to the timeline that I'm on right now, Uh sorry to hear that she did lose it.

and all that. But, you know, like I said, I'm glad you stuck you you stuck with the podcast. and it's still doing its thing. Also, man, uh I know I called in uh a couple of weeks ago and then I had a a messed up uh call. Apologize for that, man, but yeah.

Do your thing, Bart. You know, it's a weekly word that hopefully lasts as long as you want to ride with it. And all the best of luck to you, man, because you know, losing a job actually touched.

So I know how it feels to get blindsided. Losing a job for the most part. I know how it feels when you kind of know you're going to lose a job. You know what I mean? So I can feel your voice.

But do you think Bart? I just wanted to check in. Almost gonna be Merry Christmas time and the same thing. Grant Bill, what's up with him not eating that fast food joint? Come on, man.

Back in when I was a kid, that was like a treat. You know what I mean? Especially Fridays. Mom and dad would say, guess what? We're going to McDonald's and we're going to Burger King.

We got to eat inside the place. I get it, to each their own, but that shit that tastes funny to me. But I get it. But do you think heart? Pinston Anaheim was boots on the ground for Brewers and Angels two to three games.

But yeah, but that's it, man.

So I continue with deeply That's going into the wink of version also. That's good. The ghost of the dead guy that lives in your house, or the ghost of the guy that you saw in your house, that shit was classic. Oh, we keep it up with shit like that. That shit cracks me up.

Do you save as a visitor Anaheim? Go Halo, go giants, go brood, crew. And go pack go. Co-rackers, peace. Yeah.

Just when you think he said all of his teams. Vincent slides a Go Raptors in there. I like that. Brewers are back on the West Coast. Vincent did go to some of those games in Anaheim, and he was sending us updates on Twitter.

Brewers lost last night three to two. You love when you stay up late for a game, and then Brandon Lockeridge. gets caught stealing to end it. A really nice night from Christian Yelich. Logan Henderson pitching well.

For the most part. This guy, now, now's the point of the season where the Brewers keep bringing up guys that I don't know who they are. Lion Richardson, I was not too familiar with. As I'm getting a Another phone call, live to the voicemail. which I think I actually have another voicemail live during the podcast.

Um Alright, let's see what this has to say. Hello, Bart. This is Kookie Monster here, representing AS Ben and IRL. Just wanted to say I really like your content. Even though I'm a Cubs fan, I'm mostly a Technicals fan too.

But anyway, 2030 with you. Matt Lafleur is a fraud. Matt and Fleur is a big problem for the Packers. Anyways, cool cubbies, cool Packers, and um Um I don't know. Bye.

So that guy claimed to be Cookie Monster. And he sounded like A Spanish cookie monster. Um How do you say cookie monster in Spanish? El monstro de la galatas. Or el monstru coma gelatas.

Como means eat. Sukum You Tukomo Tukomo Manzana? Two comopan. Tucomo Apple. To como bread?

To como I think Cookie Monster just called back. We got little structure here. Here's Ben. Hey, Bart, this is Ben from Green Day. I am sorry that that.

nasty little customs who can't call you and drop some exploding. But anyways, I just wanted to say, keep up the great work. You are awesome. You're raw, authentic, real. I don't agree with every one of your opinions.

But that's all right. I don't have to. I've been watching you or listening to you since the days when you were with Chuck back in the day. And I just I'm I'm looking forward to this Packer year. We'll see what happens.

Um yeah, Matlas Lur is definitely a fraud though. That's all I gotta say about that. Mega is a joke. And um one more thing. Oh yeah, yeah.

Don't forget about this. P equals PCA is MVP. Yeah, that is really taking up some steam. Brewers have one in San Diego tonight and then tomorrow afternoon. Four against the Dodgers.

We got a Fox game in there. Um So, who's pitching against who? All right, we got. We got Harrison tonight, May on Wednesday.

So it's going to be Drohan versus Sazaki. Gasser vs. Yamamoto. Miz vs. Robolesky.

And then Henderson against Scoobel. Great.

So we're going to miss Snell Henderson Scubal. That's going to be like, oh, that could have been the trade. No, it couldn't have. The Tigers didn't want him. They were trading him to LA the entire fucking time.

And then they're back home against Seattle, which I'm trying to get to the Thursday game. Why are tickets so fucking expensive? Because the last Day game of the summer, maybe? Jesus I thought I'd get in there for like 50 bucks. It's gonna be like 100 bucks to get a seat I don't hate.

Big Thursday game coming out. Do people think the Winkler versus Tailgate is next Thursday? No, it was last Thursday. It was last Thursday. There is some NBA games that we found out about.

If you're into the schedule sort of thing. I just bring it up because I wonder, are we going to see the Bucs at all on national television? Probably not. Um Probably not.

So I'm looking through my bookmarks. Because I bookmarked a bunch of this stuff about the schedules that I was going to talk about, but then I. I bookmark a lot about how Trump switched planes. I haven't read that story yet. And I wanted to, so.

Right now, as I go through my Twitter bookmarks. It's a lot about that. What is the NBA schedule here on Christmas Day? What are we doing on Christmas Day? Where did that go?

I don't know. I had opening night on here. I had Christmas Day on here. Basically, no bucks.

So, don't worry about that. There was no chance of that. The heat are going to play on Christmas Day.

So there is going to be Giannis. They were waiting, the NBA looks like, to know where. LeBron was playing because that team was always going to play against LA.

So the Sixers are going to take on LA. It's going to be. Nixon Spurs. Heat and Celtics. Sixers and Lakers.

Thunder and Timberwolves And then Nuggets and Warriors. But if you're like, okay, that's a pretty good slate.

Well, remember, the NFL plays a bunch of games on Christmas now, too, including Packers, Bears. Bills Broncos And Rams Seahawks.

So none of these are shit. None of these are shit games. And remember, there's also a Christmas Eve game now: Texans and Eagles. Every Christmas Eve, though, what is there like? there's like one Hawaii bull at two o'clock and then there's no sports at night 'cause That's apparently when everybody goes to church.

Yeah, Bucks Heat. Bucks Heat will be on national TV probably. I'm sure they'll get some Amazon Prime. Ben, thanks for the voicemails. But yeah, I wouldn't expect the Bucks to be on TV a lot.

I still want to go over the 24 and a half. I'm still surprised that they're only at twenty four and a half for the win total. I'm surprised. Um About that. Anything else I wanted to make sure?

I mentioned here today. The other kind of things I did want to talk about, I can save these. But I really like this comment I saw from Justin Garcia. Don Nelson passed away over the weekend. And Garcia had a nice uh Tweet I thought made a lot of sense.

The passing of Don Nelson has had me reflecting on some of the Bucs and Brewers teams of seasons past. And it struck me: the comp for this run the Brewers are on is in their own city. We are doing the 80s Don Nelson-era Bucs. A great regular season team, plenty of talent and innovation, but never achieved the ultimate goal. If you didn't live through it in real time, you look back at the Buck's success in that decade and think, oh, wow.

But why did they never win the title or even reach the finals?

Well The Celtics and Sixers existed in that era for the Brewers' same story. One on the margins, great managerial jobs, getting the most out of their talent. But the Dodgers and Braves exist in this era and others, and both were better or. had more resources. Unfortunately, we may be getting to that point.

Because Even like When I first got into the NBA. I wasn't watching the Bucs at age five or six. Um And if I was watching anybody, it was probably Michael Jordan. Again, WGN, you had all the Bulls games and they had Michael Jordan, who everybody loved. and the Bucks were on a handful of times and I didn't live close enough to just go on a random Tuesday.

So then you find out. Above the 80s bucks, they went to the playoffs every single year. in the 1980s. They made the conference finals in 86 and 84. And then if you look at the Brewers now, they've been in the playoffs, what, six out of the last seven, win the last three?

But then they always come up short in the playoffs. And we're even in an 80s bucks run with these Packers right now. I don't want one of the things in my background to be Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews celebrating with this WWE belt and holding the Lombardi, me thinking that another one was coming, and we haven't even sniffed a Super Bowl in 16 years. I don't want this to be up anymore. I'm glad I have it.

I want it to be down. I don't want this to be the last. Good Packer Day of my life. I said it. Come on, man.

So, that we can get into more maybe another time. Maybe tomorrow with Grant and Paul. I'll look for that late afternoon. Until then, thanks for contributing. Thanks for going on my journey with me.

Actually, I'm not done. I have a pack of cards to open. That's right. And then I got to call Bonnie back.

So let me do that right here. I bought at this Appleton card shop. I bought a Timber Rattlers pack. I don't even know who's in here. Yeah, I'll call Bonnie one more time.

But then there's these Jesus Made cards that were going for five bucks, and I thought. I mean, I might as well just Get one.

So I got Luis Lara. I got Logan Henderson. These are Timber Rattlers cards from 24. Um Oh, Jesus Christ, Churio. This is a good pack.

the fuck Bryce Terang. Jesus, this was. This was Three bucks? Oh, this is five bucks. Sal Freelick?

Holy shit. Garrett Mitchell, what the fuck? Freddy Peralta? Played a game for them that year. Devin Williams.

Or are these just like... Uh These are just like... Guys that used to be on the team.

Well, that's not as cool.

Well, here's Fang. And here's Wiffer. I didn't know they got a second mascot. Yeah. I did not know.

All right, let's go with the 1991 Topps Football. $2 pack. 1991 Tops Football. Not a visually attractive set. But we'll see what we get here.

Um Okay, got a thousand yard club. Stefan Page, never heard of this fucking guy. And I collect cards from this era. Al Edwards Bills. Jeff George rookie, I've got 20 of those.

Eric Andelsick, Lions, Sammy Martin, Patriots. Jeff Harad, Colts, Craig Hayward, Saints. Anthony Toney. Eagles Godfrey Mills rookie card. Any Cowboys fans out there?

Andre Tippett. He was good. JB Brown. Larry Kelm. Daryl Pollard, Niners.

Tim Jordan, Cardinals. look at that all pro reggie white that'll go in the collection and a Tony Stargil rookie.

So there we go. Should I just open the 90s tops too since I have it? Oh my god, there's gum in here. Look at this gum. on the Dan Shaney YouTube.

What is the gum molding? It's hard as shit. Definitely bad. Mark Carrier, thousand yards. Joe Montana, record breaker.

This piece of gum is terrible. Oh, I just like it's not even chewable. I just swallowed it. Yeah. I mean, I had no problem chewing it as a bit, but.

I didn't know I was gonna fucking swallow it. Thank you for calling the promotion department. My name is Mauricio, and I see you're calling us back about a voice message you received. Is that correct? Yeah, is is Bonnie real or is that just an AI thing?

No, body's real. She handles her outbound calls, I handle the inbound calls. I'll be glad to take care of you. I need Bonnie.

Okay, she's not available right now. Uh I do have your n uh my records indicate that you were selected to receive A free cruise cabin? Yeah, Bonnie said she was going to go with me. She didn't go with you. That's what the message said.

I don't know. It's what the message said.

Okay. Can you just ever call me back? Is that ever call me back?

Okay, I'll recall you back.

Alright. Thank you. Bye-bye. Thanks for stopping into the Winkler verse.
