What does Steph Curry say after being asked if he considers himself the best point guard to ever play thus far in the NBA? Do you agree? Plus, what bold statement does someone in the ACC make about Stanford and the idea of them joining forces?

NFL Sunday Ticket is now on YouTube and YouTube TV. Which means that it just got easier to be an NFL fan. Even if you live far away. Like maybe you like the Bears, but you're hibernating in Panthers territory. But with NFL Sunday Ticket, your out-of-market team is never more than a short distance away. Specifically the distance from you to your remote control. NFL Sunday Ticket, now on YouTube and YouTube TV.

It is indeed. Well, let's chill with this concept. On a podcast in the least shocking statement ever made when it comes to professional athletes, Gilbert Arenas has one known as Agent Zero. According to Steph Curry on the Gilbert Arenas podcast, the Gilbert Arenas podcast by the way is called Gil's Arena. Get it?

Gil's Arena. I like it. Arenas asked Steph Curry, are you the greatest point guard ever? I set that up by saying, you're literally going to hear that question here in two seconds. Are you the best point guard ever? Yes. Yes. It's me and Magic, that's the conversation. You can escape that. I mean, he's just kind of going on and on.

But yes, Steph Curry says he's the greatest point guard ever. This is our only debate time today. This is going to be the only time we do this debate in circles at your friendly neighborhood hardware store, at the coffee shop that you visit, wherever you visit coffee shops, at the barbershop, wherever you get cut your hair.

One of these always comes up right now. What is the best blank? Is it the best hamburger? Is it the best place to get the oil change? The best movie. The best movie of the 1990s that involved Jude Law.

Yeah. The best Sylvester Stallone action flick. Whatever it happens to be, this is the only time you're going to hear this one today. At least from me in terms of like the best ever. The best point guard in the NBA.

Steph Curry says it's him. However, he didn't quite go full Muhammad Ali going, I am the greatest. He didn't go that far. He did though say yes. I mean, he said yes.

He flat out said yes. However, he did compare him to Magic Johnson and said, it's me and Magic. Can't teach height, right? Magic was 6'9". For those of you who remember Magic Johnson playing, Magic was Magic. I mean, that's why he was named Magic Johnson, Ervin Magic Johnson. Like he could do things with the basketball with a 6'9'' frame that most people could not do. Most players could not do until we started seeing this kind of new breed of NBA player, right? Draymond Green, not quite Magic, but he's a large guy who can pass the basketball.

Luca Dodges could pass the basketball. Giannis passes the basketball incredibly well for someone who is above normal quote unquote normal point guard height, which is about 6'1'' to 6'5'' I guess. Much taller than me.

Right, much taller than you and I. I just had my height measured today at our local health fair slash cough, turn your head and cough here at the broadcast facilities. But Curry, Curry's like, hey, I am the guy. I'm like, I get it. Like, I have to be on my team though. And that's what he says later on in that quote. He just kind of mumbles through, goes, I'm on my team.

I will say this. I have to be that guy. And he can back it up. He does. He does. He, he has the right to talk is, you know, you know, he can back it up.

He can talk that kind of talk and he's not super comfortable doing it yet. But I think as more and more people talk about that, and we're all going to see this as 20 years after Steph Curry retires. If we're all lucky enough to have a documentary or something like that, you'll see that kind of style thing where it's like, they'll be talking about Steph Curry and the legend that he is. And there'll be another guy behind Steph Curry, the same kind of deal. Is he definitely one of the top point guards of all time?

Yes. It's hard not to make that argument in terms of just play, in terms of influence. My nephew loves Steph Curry, rode the Steph Curry train for a long time. Like that's why he started playing basketball was Steph Curry. Well, that's like, he's our generation or this generation's, you know, um, Kobe, you know, it's just, it seems like each generation kind of has that one guy that in basketball, then there was Michael Jordan before him. So Steph Curry's big now. Yeah. He's the influence. It's the influence. And that's what arena says too, during, during the, uh, the sit down that he had with him, by the way, arenas is set up.

It's basically like a curtain inside, like this YMCA and they're all sitting on folding chairs. Hey, you do what you got to do. Right. But they called agent zero cause save a little money. Um, arenas was legit too, by the way, arenas was a hell of a baller, but Curry like influential. And he goes, Hey, yeah, I'm the best of all time. He didn't, you know, slight hesitation, but you don't really feel it. That's confidence.

Like I feel you. Yeah. Was that hesitation?

Cause he was thinking about it or thinking whether he should actually say it. Yeah. Whether I should. Yeah. This is that, this is the time honored tradition of like, what's the best sauce to go with your tater tots. Is it ketchup? Is it ranch? Is it honey mustard?

Is it sweet and sour? It's that same kind of vibe, right? You're all thinking it. You're all thinking that you're like, Oh, what's this top thing or what number is this?

Or whatever it is or the, the, the eight reasons why the ACC should not expand eight reasons. I can give you right. Right. Yeah.

It's like you could do an episode on all these things. The five teams Jonathan Taylor should be traded to not named Carolina. Although I would still take Jonathan Taylor.

I mean, I would, I could I for the right price. I do. Jonathan Taylor, Jonathan Taylor on the trading block, by the way, he rumored that Miami is going to make a package deal for him. I've argued this morning on ESPN, probably should have pulled that for the soundbite.

Marcus Spears of Dallas should make a play for Jonathan Taylor with a cult and just get Tony Pollard in there since they lost Zeke to the AFC East. All right. Let's talk about wrapping everything up in a nice, big, warm hug and watching the skies part. Like you do in the movies, like at the end of Twister. You ever see the end of Twister? Yes. So at the end of Twister, after Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt strapped themselves down to that pipe and get lifted into the air into what was like an F5 tornado. Which, to be honest, I think if you asked meteorologists probably would have ripped them out of the ground. For sure.

Because that was the oldest leather strap of the history of leather straps. I worked at a video store, folks, so I've seen all these movies. Remember video stores? Yeah.

Now I'm dating myself. Oh, I loved them. At the end of Twister, when the Twister went away and all the debris hit the ground around them, all of a sudden there was like this ray of sun. And they were all happy and everything was good and they finished the movie and then cue the Van Halen, right? Yes.

This is the kind of sunshine that the Washington commanders are now seeing. Last night, after getting the nice win in the preseason game, which if you've heard everybody talk about the NFL preseason, Oh, I don't care. It doesn't mean anything. Just the win. No, not last night. Yeah. Last night was different. Last night was like literally repainting the house, stripping everything down to the studs. And, you know, Bob Bieler showed up and, what's his face, the dude who said move the bus. Yeah. Like an extreme home makeover, guys.

And move that bus. And there was this awesome house. That's the vibe you got last night. Hey Carolina Panthers fans, Chris Lee and Dennis Cox here. How so? That heavy cloud that used to be around Washington and their campus and their facility, that cloud is gone. I was there for the very first day of camp. I was there to watch Joe Theismann walk out on the field, Doug Williams walk out on the field, talk to Jason Wright, the president of the team, and listen to him say, I finally feel now I can just run a football organization.

That's what's different about the Washington commanders this year as compared to any time that Daniel Snyder was there. Just simply walking through the gates, you feel like this team has a new lease on life. And when you have that heavy cloud constantly hanging over you, when you're constantly looking over your shoulder to wonder when the next shoe is going to drop, it's difficult to go out and play football. It's difficult to enjoy. But now it's enjoyable again.

Yeah. It's all happy. We can all love it up again.

It's okay to be a commanders fan. The tornado's gone. The tornado's gone. The sun is coming out. That's right, the sun has come out. It's all happy. There were fans last night running with the confidence of a three-year-old wearing a Superman shirt.

Yes. I mean, it was just like, yay, we are here. We are making this happen. It's a good day.

Sam Howell's our quarterback. Rhonda Farah's here. Joe boxing the sound like, oh, that's so good. Right? Everyone's excited.

It was the little girl in Despicable Me. Oh, yeah. It's so fluffy.

It's so fluffy. That was the commander's vibe last night. So, dark cloud gone. Ryan Clark of ESPN says it's all good. By the way, congrats to Ryan Clark. He's part of the new ESPN Monday Night Football team. Last night was the debut of that. So happy for him. And there's your Wall of Sound.
