When a society or person dismisses God, the strong inevitably oppress the weak, leading to despair. Christians must speak up for those in positions of weakness, recognizing that all people are created in God's image and have inalienable rights. The absence of God leads to a callousness towards the weak, as seen in the book of Judges, but God's redemption through Jesus Christ offers a different path, one of love, forgiveness, and rest in Him.
