Greetings, friends and new listeners, and welcome to The Sound of Faith. I'm Sharon Otz, thanking you for joining us today, because we know faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. I'm excited to bring you today's devil-chasing message, Satan the Whistleblower.

Masquerading as an authority over the people of God, he goes around blowing his whistle at us. You can't park here. You can't do this.

You can't do that. He is a trespasser and can only usurp our God-given territory if we let him. You have authority over Satan the Whistleblower. So let's go back to Joshua 13, because even though we're backtracking numerically, chronologically, we are on the right track.

You will see what I mean. Joshua 13, verse 1. Now Joshua was old and stricken in years, and the Lord said unto him, You are old and stricken in years. Thank you, Lord.

Don't tell me that, OK? Tell me you're renewing my youth. And there remains yet very much land to be possessed. This is the land that yet remains. All the borders of the Philistines, all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri from Sihor, which is before Egypt, even to the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanites, the five lords of the Philistines, the Gezerthites and the Ashdothites, the Eshkolamites and the Gittites and the Akronites and the Avites, and you would go on to say the Canaanites, the Sidonians, the Amorites, even all of Lebanon, all that land still had not been taken.

That's a lot, amen? We saw that when God told Moses and then Moses told Joshua, told the children of Israel, gave them specific instructions to go in and dispossess the people and take the land. But all these years later, so much of it was still under enemy territory. And part of this was to be allocated to the tribes of Judah and Dan. And this area was occupied by the notorious Philistines.

Why? If they had taken that land, we would have a much smaller Bible. We'd have a smaller Old Testament for sure, amen? All the battles going up against the Philistines, we probably wouldn't have the story of Samson and the story of David and Goliath, amen? Because they did not take the land that God had given them.

And so these warrior Philistines dug their heels in. And they had five major cities, Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gath, and Ekron. Now some of these may sound familiar to you, not just from the Bible, but when you listen to your nightly news. If there's any news about what's going on over there in Israel, you may hear some of these cities. You will hear about the Gaza Strip, right?

And you will hear about Ashdod. These cities are very prevalent in our daily news regarding Israel. But Israel didn't take these territories. So not long after Joshua's death, the tribe of Judah did manage to take the cities of Gaza, Ashkelon, and Ekron. But even though they came in and took the cities, they still were not able to drive the Philistines out of them.

And you know what? The Philistines recovered, turned around and drove them out. So these pagan groups like the Philistines and the Amorites, which we read about a lot in the Old Testament, they were left there and they were left to vex Israel. And so God used them cities. He used those pagan people.

He used the Philistines and the Amorites to judge his people for their backslidings. Amen. So many times, especially when you go now after Joshua, when you go to the book of Judges, you got a 450 year cycle of their backsliding, their repenting, God blessing them, their backsliding, going back into captivity. It just keeps repeating the cycle.

Amen. And they're vexed because they left these people stay in the territory. For hundreds of years to come, these fierce enemies of Israel, even all the way up to the time of King David, continually vexed the Israelites. You know, he had to fight multiple times before he was able to render them too weak to no longer pose a threat against the Israelites. But he was never able to incorporate their land into his kingdom. Now, David's son, Solomon, his kingdom surpassed David's kingdom in glory, in riches and in honor. And he ruled over the land from the middle of Iraq where the Euphrates River was. He ruled from there all the way to the land of the Philistines and as far south as the border of Egypt. But even though he ruled there, the Philistine population was still present in the land and Solomon made them pay him taxes.

Let them stay, but pay him taxes. Even after in the time of his son when God split the nation of Israel into two, ten tribes in the north was Israel, two tribes in the south was Judah, even then the Philistines continued to dwell in the land. And they eventually invaded the kingdom of Judah in the south. And when they did, they marched into Jerusalem, they looted his palace, they took the king of Judah, King Jehoram, took him and his family captives because they had never been driven out of the land.

One hundred years later, they attacked Israel on her southern border. They took several cities away from Israel and repopulated them again with their people. Israel never settled them and never incorporated them into their geographic boundaries. They never took all the land that God gave them. Large tracts of land northeast of the Sea of Galilee, even to the Euphrates River populated by the Philistines. They were never completely ruled out or driven out of the kingdom of Israel. Now think about this, 2020, even today, the modern nation of Israel does not fully possess and populate all the promised land that God gave them. They're still existing in Gaza, aka the Gaza Strip are the Palestinians, the descendants of the ancient Philistines. Amen?

They're still there and that area is a hotbed of terrorism. They constantly barrage Israel with their rockets and then, I don't know if you saw on the news, they took kites and set the kites on fire and sent them, when the wind was blowing the right way, sent them to go to Israel when the kites fell on Israel's crops and burnt them up. That sounds like an Old Testament story to me. Amen? And so we see that Gaza is still a thorn in Israel's side and a prick in their eyes and these Palestinians have dug deep in the earth a myriad of underground tunnels that they use to bring weapons. They get weapons because you know Israel has an embargo so they can't get weapons from other places by water because they're on the Mediterranean Sea but Israel has an embargo so they can't get in that way so they transport their weapons underground through these tunnels and they're able to use these tunnels also to send suicide bombers into Israel and weapons into Israel. You see, wherever we do not drive the devil out it becomes a stronghold.

It becomes a stronghold. Amen? Because when the enemy blew his whistle, the Israelites backed off and didn't take the territory and saints of God today the devil is blowing his whistle to usurp our religious freedoms. Yes, he is.

He is blowing his whistle. Christian Americans religious freedoms are being kicked out everywhere. We know is kicked out of public schools across the nation and sports events kicked out. Amen?

The military. Christianity is kicked out. Amen?

And on the TV and on the internet, whichever media you go to, unless you're on a Christian station, Christianity is kicked out. Amen? Satan is blowing his whistle. He's saying, you can't pray here. Amen?

Oh no, no, no. You can't say that. No, you can't say this. Amen?

The devil's blowing his whistle. He's saying, no, you can't share your faith. No, you can't have that Bible on your desk. Amen? He's saying, you can't use the name of Jesus.

If we do allow you to pray a generic prayer, you may not say the name of Jesus. Amen? And if you preach, now I'm getting on Christian stations now. Christian radio stations. If you preach, don't you dare preach from Romans one and second Corinthians chapter six against homosexuality.

No. Amen? Little children in grade school. Write an essay about your favorite hero. Some child writes about Jesus Christ. Oh no, you can't write about Jesus Christ.

Big red X. Amen? And we know if kids were in school, which they're not, but if they were and they would be getting ready to have their Christmas programs, which they now call winter solstice. They can't sing old silent night in old little town of Bethlehem and old holy night. No, let's get out Frosty the snowman.

You can sing about him. Amen. In fact, you can't even say Merry Christmas. It's happy holidays. I don't think they realize though that when you say the word holiday, you're actually saying holy days.

That's what it is. Holy days. And why is it holy?

Because on that holy night, the son of God was born in the town of Bethlehem. Amen. You can't say grace before you eat. You can't wear a t-shirt that says God bless America.

Amen. You can't wear a cross necklace on your job. And even on TV, if they're singing songs, they cannot mention the name of Jesus. It escapes me at the moment, but there's one song that people like to sing and I can't think of it right now, but they still sing it on TV cause it's popular. But when it comes to the part about Jesus, they take the name of Jesus out. When you take the name of Jesus out of this particular song, the song has no more power or influence.

It has lost its meaning. Amen. And if how many times you see sports guys, sometimes even the Ravens, other football players, you know, uh, they had a great game or they had something good happen though. They'll let them say something and they want to say to God be the glory. I thank God my father, I thank my Lord Jesus Christ.

They want to bleep that out. I have seen many tremendous testimonies on TV where maybe a lost child was found or somebody that was stranded in the up in the mountains in the cold and pretty much given up hope they'd ever be found, but they do find the lost child or they do the person gets their way out. Someone rescues them and they want to say, I prayed to God. They want to say, God heard my prayer. God sent someone help me. You know what? They'll bleep all that out and they'll go to the other parts.

Well, you know, I, I cuddled up in under a fir tree and I found a little cave to get in and, and, and that, and I thought about my family at home, how much they loved me and that helped me get through. But they take out the part about where I prayed to God and God answered my prayer because the devil is going around blowing his whistle. What are you going to do? What are you going to do when the devil blows his whistle? Are you going to back off and give him territory? Are you going to stand your ground and find your voice of faith and resist him in the name of Jesus?

Come on. Let's stand together on our feet this morning. My God, Satan, your kingdom's coming down. You've been building your kingdom all over this land, but Satan, your kingdom's coming down.

I think somebody ought to sing that song. Amen. The Holy ghost is going to tear his kingdom down. Amen.

The prayers of the saints are going to tear his kingdom down. We have the anointing and usually God pours his spirit out at the end of the message, but today he chose to pour it out in the very beginning. I almost didn't think I was going to preach. Amen.

He chose to pour his anointing out then because we are kind of restricted in hamstring because of the COVID-19 restrictions that I don't call you all up here. We pray for you for you like we used to do before. Amen. And so we kind of finished the message and say, God bless you.

Go home and have a good day. But he poured the spirit and the anointing out. Amen. He already anointed us. We have what we need and now he's given us his word and he's given us an idea that we can remember.

We won't forget about the whistle. Amen. Not too long ago I preached a message about Satan, the whisperer. Well this morning it's Satan, the whistler. Amen. We ain't taking his whispers and we ain't taking his whistles because Satan, your kingdom's coming down.

Amen. What a Satan stomping word, Satan, the whistleblower. When Jesus sent forth 70 disciples to prepare the surrounding towns to receive his visitation, he told them to preach the kingdom of God and back it up with evidence healing the sick. And they did. And they returned ecstatically informing Jesus that even the demons were subject to them in his name. Jesus' response may seem anticlimactic. I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven until we understand that the Greek text actually means I kept seeing Satan fall from heaven. Every time they cast out a demon, Jesus saw Satan fall all over again. And every time a Holy Spirit filled child of God cast Satan out of their life, Satan has deja vu.

He experiences his fall all over again. This animated anointed message is available on CD for a love gift of $10 or more for the radio ministry. And why not add this to your spiritual library today?
