Abraham's kind of faith is a trust in God's ability to bring to pass what he has promised, and his faithfulness to fulfill his word. It means to confide in God without fear, to flee for refuge in Him, and to put absolute trust in His faithfulness. Faith is not just believing in God, but also trusting in His word and promises, and having a basis to put faith on, such as God's character and His word.

Okay. Greetings friends and new listeners. Welcome to this program of the R.G. Hardy Ministries. I'm Sharon Knotts, thanking you for joining us today, because we know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

And today's message by my father, Brother Hardy, is certainly a faith-boosting, refining, and energizing word of the Lord. Abraham's kind of faith. What is it? Do you have it? Let's find out together as we join Brother Hardy for Abraham's kind of faith.

The Lord is good. And all the time The Lord is good. All the time. We're going to start a new series. of messages Take it from my book.

Abraham's Kind. of faith. And we're going to find out there's a whole lot of faves. But only one that does it. The only one that's gonna always bring us the victory.

The only one that's going to always bring us the answer in our prayers. Is the Abraham's kind of faith. That's why he's called the father of faith. He was the first one that had it. And that's what God accepted from Abraham and imputed to his record.

as righteousness. If you've got your Bible, go to Romans the fourth chapter. And a 17th verse, and I'll read a couple. Versus And says, as It is written. I have made thee a father of many nations.

He's talking about Abraham. before him whom he believed, even God. who quickens The dead And cause those things which be not as though they were. Hemin's seeing you met. who against hope believed in hope.

That he might become the father of many nations. According to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. I want to preach on the bases. For faith. Everybody has faith.

There's not a Christian that doesn't have faith. You don't need to pray for faith. You need to use the measure of faith you have. You have faith. That's Romans.

12.3 said, God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Now what we've got to do Isn't it? Put our faith on something. Make something the basis. for our faith. And a lot of people put their basis of their faith on what I call sense knowledge.

What they see. What they hear What they smell, what they taste, they touch the five senses. But we're to put our faith On as it is written, and like Abraham, as it was spoken. We're to put our faith on the word of God. If you put your faith on anything...

But the word of God It's going to fail. You're not going to get your prayers answered? You're not going to live in victory and joy and peace. You will have opened the door for the enemy. to come in and vex and torment you.

Amen? Abraham Based Here's Three. Not on what he saw. Because looking at himself And looking at his wife Sarah, Everything screamed out. It's impossible.

For you. To be the father of many nations. They're saying, see like the sand. and the seed like the stars of heaven. Impossible.

But Abraham put his faith On what God is And what God said... Abraham based his faith on two of God's characteristics. The first one was. the power and ability of God to do anything. Hebrews says 11.6.

Without faith it's impossible to to please God. He that cometh to God must believe that he is. In other words, that he is almighty. All powerful. possesses the ability to do anything.

How many say you mad? And that he is a rewarder. Of those that diligently Seek him. Believe in him. How many say you men?

So Abraham put his faith Not in the natural, not with sense knowledge. But in the ability And the power of God that God could do anything. And if you don't believe God can do anything, you're not even not only in the lineup. You're not even in the ballpark. God even spoke out in the word dealing with Abraham and Sarah, when Sarah doubted.

Said, is there anything? Too hard for God. And I have been serving him for 52 years. And I've been in many, many, like the song says, dangers, toils, and snares. But I've not found anything that he can do it.

That Christ isn't the answer. And that he cannot Huh?

Solve my problem. and meet my need. God's omnipotent. He has the ability to bring something Out of nothing. Email him?

The ability Bring something out of nothing. You see man. doesn't create. Man manufactures. Man uses existing materials.

But God creates. When he wants to do something And if the material doesn't exist, He brings it into existence. The record of Genesis, the first chapter. shows you his ability. When there was nothing But God and And the Word of God and the Spirit of God.

And his plan, what he wanted to do. God stepped out in nothingness and said, let there be. And There was. And I want to say, and it still is. He spoke everything in existence.

Because God even had to have faith. He had faith. in his ability and in his word. God can bring something out of nothing. And he can bring life.

Out of death. How many say amen? When they die, that's not the end of it. God can still Do the miraculous. Him and he say amen all the saints down from the first one the first faith a faithful one Abel that have died in God's will Brother and sister, he is going to bring them back out.

With the glorified body and give them eternal life. How many say you men?

So God Has the power to bring something out of nothing. And to bring life Out of death.

So, nothing should disturb you. God can do it. Second thing. That Abraham had his f Faith in God's Faithfulness. That second part of that verse I said in Hebrews and that he is a rewarder.

God is faithful. He can be depended upon. You can rely Upon him. You can put your faith in him. You can trust him.

God is faithful that He is going to. Do what he says he will do. Whatever he says in the word... And you meet your part. Yeah.

unwavering faith. You can count on them. You can go to the bank with it. Whatever God said he will do, he will do it. Do.

Heaven and earth. They pass away, but that really means change. From one Move to another, because God's going to make it all new, make a new heaven and an earth. But God's word does not change. And God's word will not fail.

For God watches over his word, and when somebody gets on his word, he hastens to fulfill it. You can take it. To the bank. If God said, I am the Lord God that healeth thee, that forgiveth all of thine iniquities and health all of thy diseases, and you put your trust and faith in God, then look for the healing. Hemity, say amen, look.

for the forgiveness. When you repent of your sins, Huh? In the name of Jesus, he's going to forgive you. If you take and repent of your sins and doubt, if it happened, it didn't happen. But if you believe, then the Lord is faithful and just.

to forgive you of all your iniquity. He's faithful and righteous. He can do it. And he will do it. Hallelujah.

Oh, give him a good clap offering. That's what Abraham. His fate form. The ability of God to fulfill his word. And his faithfulness.

to fulfill his word. And that's what we've got to do. We've got to put our faith. on God's ability to bring to pass what he has promised. and that he is not slack concerning his promises.

that he is faithful. And he will bring it to pass. That's The basis for faith. You put it on anything else? It's going to fail.

Now The big question is, what is faith? And you know what? Sad to say, a majority of God's saints don't know what faith is. What is faith? What does it mean?

Have faith. Faith, believe, and trust are basically synonyms. And they simply mean, number one, to confide in so as to be secure without fear. How many's got that kind of faith? Are you confiding and trusting in God that you are not fearful?

See, because if you fear... You do not have faith. or you're not exercising faith. Or you're believing in the wrong way. You're believing against yourself.

You're believing God can't. And because you believe God can, God won't. There is no fear in God in love, where God is love. Nothing to fear. Huh?

He's going to keep us. He's going to protect this and not only that he went to step further and said I give you power over all. the power of your enemies, the devil.

So why should I be afraid of someone? That I have power over. I'm not going to let him psych me out. He can make all kinds of faces and groan and grunt and Huh? Try to scare you.

And I tell him, hey. Devil, if you're going to have a face-making contest. I win before I even make a face. How many say you men?

Confidence? and so as to be secure without fear. It means to flee for refuge. Two. or to take shelter in.

Is he your shelter? God's my shelter. 91st Psalm said he that Dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. What does that mean? Protection.

If I'm under his shadow, he's right there protecting me. He's like the mother hen that when danger comes, he clucks, and all the little. Huh? Chicks run there. And the shadow of her mother's there, and they look up, and they look down and see the shadow, they're all right.

How many say you met? And then the third thing it means. to put faith in. You got to put Your faith Indeed. Faith has to have a basis to be put on.

Hebrews 11:1 says, Now, faith. is the substance, but the Greek word means basis or assurance. of things hoped for. We can have Huh?

something, a basis to put your faith on. And of course we ought to be putting our faith. In the God that cannot lie and in His word that does not fail. How many say you met? Our trust.

is to be in God. To put faith in something, to trust in something, they're synonyms. Or to trust in somebody. means to believe or take one at his word. You know, when somebody in the In the natural or would tell you, I'll do this for you.

And if you trust him or believe him, You know Then you take and put Faith or believe in his word. You know the colour. of saying a lot in the world that When somebody tells you something that seems hard, And they say, trust me. How many has ever had somebody say that? Just trust me.

And that's all God says. If it seems hard for you to believe his word and you're stumbling, just trust me. Just try me. How many say you men?

Second, is to stay or rest or in something. to stay and rest in God's word. You rest there. Jesus said, come unto me all you that let you burn heavy rain, and I will what? Give you rest.

from your fears and doubts. and fretting. It means to Rely upon the promises of another. All the promises of God and Jesus are what? Yeah.

Amen. To the glory of God. God said, Everything that I have said. is yes I will do it. Amen.

It shall come to pass. Amen? And to put absolute trust in a person without questions. or doubt as to his faithfulness. See, the devil tries to get you to question God.

To bring doubt. How many say you men?

He's not going to come. and tell you God is a liar, because you would then be alarmed and know it was the devil. But what he's going to do is work on sense knowledge to try to convince you it's impossible. It's just i I'm in an impossible situation. You can never get in an impossible situation.

If you are a child of God, you're under him, and his shadow's over you, and he's with you. because he said, I'll never leave you. I'll never forsake you. Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world or the age. And if he's with us always, then the answer and the.

Supply and the miracle that we need is right there. All we got to do is trust in him. All we got to do is believe him. That's what kind of faith Abraham had. God didn't give Abraham the faith.

And promises when he was a young man, it was 75. And Sarah was 65. And she was past menopause. In fact, she was never able. to bring forth a child.

And Abraham got to the place That his body was dead. But God said I will. Make your stars as the seed as the stars in heaven. Out of will. Make your seed as the sand.

And Abraham Cheers. Put his trust in the Lord. Putting faith in the Lord. Put himself in the Lord. Believing that what he had promised, he's also able to perform.

Emily believes that what God has promised you... He's also able to perform it. No what, no matter what man says No matter what the devil suggests. No matter what none of your senses tell you. You believe God because God can bring something out of nothing and bring life out of depth and because God is faithful and because God does not lie.

How many say you mad? He said in Numbers 23, 19, I'm not a man, I'm not just a mere human. I should lie. Neither am I the son of man off. Spring or fall of man.

that I should repent. You know, a lot of times people promise you something. And they can't do it, they can't make it good, and they come back and say, you know, I've got to repent of it, I'm sorry. God doesn't have to repent. Brother, if he sent it, take it to the bank.

Amen. If he's promised it, stand upon it. Standing on the promises, I shall not fail. Standing on the promises, I shall not fall. Huh?

Standing on the promises, the word of God shall not fail. Though the storms of doubt and senescale, I'm standing on the promises of God. How late give him a good one. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

That's what faith is. Faith is to put absolute trust in a person without question. or doubts as to his faithfulness. Five. And remember the number five was what?

Grace. Five, faith is also defined as a union of insurance. Conviction. The counting or reckoning of a thing as though it was all ready. Dawn.

Faith does not have to see it. before it believes. How many say you men?

For if you see it You only have sense knowledge. Faith So you've got two eyesights. You got the Physical live site. that is governed by The natural world. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 418.

While we look not at the things which are seen, with our physical eye. But we look what at the things which are not seen with our physical eye, but with the eye of faith. For the things that are seen with the physical eye are temporal. They're transit. They're temporary.

They're passing. But the things that are seen with the eye of faith are eternal. See, you've got to see it with the eye of faith. When God promises it, then you've got to see with the eye of faith that it is done. It is accomplished.

How many say amen? No matter what sense knowledge tells you. It's done. Oh, Abraham could have staggered. Because all the sense knowledge told him it was A medical impossibility.

How many say amen? But you see, God made these bodies. He's got spare parts in heaven. Sure, said a new heart I'll give you. Uh How many say amen?

He's got spare parts in heaven. And he can fix it up. He is the giver of life. For he said, I have come that you might have life. And it wouldn't be very much.

They would be abundant. Heavenly say amen. And God is a miracle worker. How many believes God's a miracle worker?

Now what is a miracle? What is a miracle?

Something. That shouldn't be. But it is.

Something that shouldn't happen. But God makes it happen anyhow. Because you see, God's not bound by the laws of physics. our physical world. He's not bound by it.

He is not bound by anything except his. Word. God is bound by his word, and that's why he said one scripture, concerning my word, you command me to do it.

Well, that's bold, ain't it? Command me. But that's showing God two things. No sin in your life and you believe the word and you want what God said he'll do. Yeah.

Amen. What an inspirational and soul-strengthening word of the Lord by my father Brother Hardy, Abraham's kind of faith. What do you need when you have prayed the prayer of faith, but time is passing with no visible fulfilment, when things seem to be getting worse instead of better? when you're facing insurmountable obstructions and even setbacks and you just feel like giving up. What you need is Abraham's kind of faith, the kind of faith that won't lose hope even when hope is against you.

that will enable you not to stagger at the promise of God in unbelief, but to be fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able to and will perform. you need the faith of our father Abraham, who believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. The Hebrew literally says, Abraham believed God and said Amen. And Paul told us in Romans 4 that we are to walk in the steps of our father Abraham. And this anointed, insightful teaching by Brother Hardy will tell you how you can walk in Abraham's kind of faith, how you can have hope when even hope is against you.
