Welcome to the Days of Praise podcast, a daily devotional by the Institute for Creation Research. Redeeming Love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1.7 Yeah. Verse 4 of There is a fountain fills Christians with thankfulness for the great and lasting work accomplished on the cross. A never-ending stream of redeeming love has gushed forth from Calvary to supply our never-ending need for forgiveness and provision and love.
We respond in love to Him for His abundant love framed in undeserved grace. We love Him because He first loved us. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Ere since by fate I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die. Through propitiation God was satisfied with the full payment for our sin.
The wages of sin is death. But Christ died for our sins, and God, the Holy Judge, is satisfied. But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Little wonder we respond as we do. Not only do we receive forgiveness from the Father, but He looks at us as though we had fully obeyed Him as His Son had done.
whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 3, 25 and 5, 9.
