Power Prayer

Announcer This is the Truth Network. Is prayer different kinds of prayer intercessions what the Lord gives to the individual believer to connect with him to speak to the Lord to hear back from him. So it is a conversation and I'm sure you feel the same way without an increasing ability to pray the way that God has for us to pray. We really begin to be deficient in a certain amount of spiritual capacity because that relationship manifesting in the form of prayer invigorates and stimulates and inspires not to mention a whole aspect of revelation that comes into our understanding because we've been in the presence of the Lord in the power of prayer in this way of communicating with him. Not the only way that we communicate with him because there are dreams and visions worship many other ways to communicate with the Lord, but prayer in intercession.

Is basic to the individual believer certainly someone who is discipled in the faith. We realize how critical it is that we increasingly yield to the prompting of the Spirit of God in this way. So let's talk about the way that we connect with him to receive the downloads from his heart and his mind in favor inside and understanding then we are able to allow his spirit to flow through us and to replicate his heart and his mind in the earth.

We say frequently here on this show. We have the mind of Christ. Therefore let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. And in the matter of prayer, a couple of things that are really helpful. As I said, ministry has a really important role.

Excuse me. Prayer has a very important role in our ministry. So in that vein, I find that often we can we can sort of cripple what we're doing by the way that we understand how all of this works and one way especially is as we join with other people to pray. We have the opportunity to share with them to communicate with them. We have the opportunity to acknowledge the will of God to satisfy his plan and the thing that is before us. The need that it be met that whatever, you know, whatever. And in that way, I've seen and I've learned and I'll just pass this along to you that we can actually be counterproductive in the way that we share like the details of what it is. We need or what the prayer request is and just to be simple are just to, you know, say this simply would be that when we rehearse the problem state the problem in detail again and again and again.

The kind of conversation, the wording that sort of amplifies the very thing we don't want. We are amplifying it in the repetition. So for example, if I am telling you today, my prayer request, you know, we do that in churches.

We have prayer time and we have prayer list and prayer chains, that kind of thing. So we rehearse. The need again and again and again.

And I would say that that isn't really necessary and can be, as I said, counterproductive. Here's why words are important. They carry power. They also carry faith. Words are carriers of faith. The problem many times even to describe Satan's intervention and his successes.

You know what I'm saying? That kind of thing will actually deplete your faith because it's opposite to the word of God and the promises contained in the word of God. And as we speak the things that God has said, faith builds, it grows.

As we rehearse the things that the enemy is being able to do has accomplished to this point, to that degree, we are, we replenish the faith that we have. And so not to be Nick picky or anything like that, but you know, you just learn over time. You just learn experiential knowledge is very helpful. In a spiritual context or just a purely natural one, experiential knowledge comes alongside to support what we have by faith. And so as you're praying and as you are inviting others to pray with you, just remember this principle.

If you need to continue to state the problem a second time, I would say maximized or a maximum would be three times. Other than that, that's not needful. If you need to continue to state the problem, you're probably dealing with people that don't know how to pray. If you need some kind of building up so that they can sort of step in with you, you don't need that. You don't need that.

If the outcome that you want and the one that you envision resonates with the power of God, you want to communicate your prayer to those who are able to hear what you're saying, pick it up in the spirit and go with it. Now, this is really to another principle that I've learned. I've just seen it too many times that this is really a powerful tool.

It might even be a secret weapon. And it is this, that at any time in the principle of Aaron and her, remember the story, Moses was extending his staff out over the battle. The battle continued over time. His arms were weary. And alongside of him came two individuals, one named Aaron, one named her, and these two individuals supported his arms to hold his arms up so that the staff could continue to be extended over the battle. The court came alongside of him. They were in perfect agreement with him, perfect unison with him.

And we didn't need in the case of Moses and Aaron and her to continue rehearsing the problem. They saw it. You know, they got it. And so this is just what I do. First of all, know how to do your own praying.

We all have needs. If you on a basic level know how to do your own praying, that's the most important thing because, you know, praying can includes appealing to God for what only God can do. But your role also is to resist the devil. And you do that with words. So if your prayer is only appealing to God and you're neglecting the role that you have to play to resist the enemy, and to do that with words, and it may be every day that you need to do that more than one time a day, just don't miss that point because that's what you do. God doesn't do that for you.

He has already won the victory at Calvary through the shed blood of his son, enabling and authorizing you to force the victory, to enforce the defeat that was accomplished by and at Calvary. That's your job. That's my job.

So that's first. If you're doing well, and that you ask someone to pray with you, you only need two. You need Aaron, you need her. Aaron and her. You know, her is not a female.

Her was the name of a person. So just to clarify, but you need to communicate with them well, the initial need, as much detail as you want to give, or as they need to be accurate as they pray. Accuracy in prayer is very important. And we learn that as we mature in the things of the Spirit, and as we have examples of more mature believers to teach us. Those are all principles that are so important, and they come with being discipled. If you're being discipled in prayer, you know this principle.

You need two. You really do not need the church to send out a prayer chain because all of those people lack the information, maybe even the spiritual insight to pray accurately. Lift you up in prayer, end quote. That's a very nice thought, and it's a very nice thing. It's good to hear.

And there's nothing wrong with that. However, in an engagement in the Spirit realm against the powers of darkness and demon activity, you need more than that. You need more than to be lifted up. You need someone to take hold in the authority of the Spirit of God by the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus to enforce the Word of God and the covenant of God on your behalf. That is what you need.

You're responding to this basic principle here of needing someone to agree with you in prayer that has the chutzpah and the understanding to move that thing out of the darkness that the enemy has been able to accomplish.

Move it out into the light where you can get some traction and be able to see, you know, light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. So again, this is not to say that there's anything wrong with any kind of prayer, any level of prayer. If you're thinking and is, you know, making progress, you need to be a little more intentional, be very sober, not naive about what is involved here. And we just volunteer to help you with that any way that we can. So today we are looking at the powerful possibilities that God has promised to us through his covenant, his word covenant, his blood covenant, that through him we are more than victors. Through him we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, that in this we know that we have the petitions we ask of him because we know the covenant. We know his word. We pray and ask in faith, without doubt, believing him that the very thing that he has said he will do, he will in fact do.

That's the possibility. That's the power that's available in prayer. And those are principles that I highly, highly recommend to you.
