The. Welcome to prophecy today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. and along with my brother Rick, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, we've got upheaval around the world.

We've got militaries on the move. We got world leaders making decisions that are going to affect tomorrow. And remember, as you listen today, all these nations are involved in Bible prophecy. On today's program, we have Ken Timmerman, David Dolan, and Lieutenant Colonel Bob McGinnis because our world view. Has to be about what is taking place and how it relates to Bible prophecy.

Let's get started with our first Ken Timmerman.

Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Ken Timmerman with us. He is our expert in geopolitical affairs. He's an author and an analyst. You can find out more about him by going to his website at KenTimmerman dot com.

Ken, thanks for being with us today. Thanks for having me on, Rick. It's always a pleasure.

Well, Ken, lots to talk about this week geopolitically. Let's start with Iran, where a third carrier strike group is heading towards the Middle East. What is going on here?

Well, the USS Theodore Roosevelt, aircraft carrier, and its entire strike group left San Diego several days ago, and they are headed for the Middle East. They're going to be joined by a third Marine Expeditionary Unit with an additional two thousand troops.

So you're going to have roughly seven. Five hundred Marines and another ten thousand special forces in the region, and three aircraft carriers. Each one of those carriers, don't forget, has seventy-two attack fighter jets on it.

So that is a huge armada steaming for Iran. I think it's crystal clear we're going back to hostilities. Whether it happens before the midterms or after the midterms is another story. The Iranians, I think, because they systematically Judge our politics. I believe the Iranians will attack first.

I think they will provoke a U.S. reaction, and President Trump has made clear he is not going to put up with any Iranian shenanigans. We have the CENTCOM rule, the three-to-two rule of Admiral Brad Cooper. You hit two of our ships, we sink three of yours, and I think that is going to be the rule of this next campaign. But I think it's going to go further than that.

I think that. President Trump has made clear that this negotiation phase is going nowhere. The Iranians have not even opened the nuclear file, and that's what, from the U.S. point of view, this war is all about preventing a nuclear armed Iran. The Iranian Parliament, Rick, is discussing pulling out of the Non Proliferation Treaty.

They're doing this openly, and if they pull out of the NPT, basically that allows them to test a nuclear device. Without international sanctions coming on them, so I think we are headed for a renewed crisis before the midterm elections. The Iranians think that will draw support away from President Trump. I think they are going to be wrong about that, and it will only reinforce American support for their president in a time of war.

Well, can you talk about preventing a nuclear armed Iran? But there's also the Strait of Hormuz. That is what Iran has been using to try to put pressure on the world and the United States in particular, President Trump in particular. But they are losing that leverage because the Strait is seemingly open. That's right, and that is why the Iranians will be the ones to go back to war first.

Scott Bessent, our Treasury Secretary, who is doing an amazing job, said this week that Iran has. Loaded zero crude in September. Zero oil exports. The last 15 million barrels that has been out on the open sea will hit China sometime later this week. He says within two weeks they will be on empty.

Their economy will be on empty. J.P. Morgan analyst said that Middle East average oil exports have been over 17 and a half million barrels for the past 10 days. That's 98 percent of pre-war levels. Texas.

Crude dropped. Four percent on Friday. It's below eighty nine dollars a barrel. Gasoline prices are dropping. They're almost dropping as you drive past the stations, Rick.

It's incredible. I live in Northeast Florida, and I went out for a drink last night. It was four nineteen. I came back two hours later. Was four fourteen.

You know, it's it's extraordinary. The Strait of Hormuz no longer belongs to Iran. We have broken their stranglehold, and because of that, they will. Go back to war, Ken. You wrote a book, The Iran House: Tales of Revolution, Persecution, War, and Intrigue, and that's available wherever you buy books.

And Ken, you understand this area, this country. As we look to the future, is there a possibility of regime change? Which was probably the the main way that this area is going to change.

Well, I think everybody realizes that as long as the current Islamic regime stays in power, they will never give up their nuclear weapons. And since that is President Trump's number one demand of the regime, you're at an impasse, and that impasse will be solved by force of arms.

Now, does that mean that the regime is going to fall when they inevitably get their entire economy smashed by the United States? I don't know. That is not a U.S. war goal. The president has never said that, and I'll tell you why, Rick.

Because regime change is messy, is unpredictable, and this regime is extremely violent, and they are willing to use violence against their own people. I've been saying for months now that the regime that's now in power, the Islamist regime that is now in power in Iran, sees itself as an insurgency. They see themselves As an insurgency against the West, against so-called colonial powers, and they will behave like one. If there is a coup and another government comes to power, in other words, they will go underground and they will fight an insurgent war against what they will claim is a colonial occupying regime, whether it's led by Rezapolov or somebody else. They will call them a colonialist occupying regime.

We need a counterinsurgency strategy and. We've needed that, Rick, for six months. We have needed a strategy, the United States and our allies, that delegitimizes the regime in power in Iran and delegitimizes them in the eyes of their own people. We need to be talking about the corruption of the Revolutionary Guards. We need to be talking about the water crisis; they can't even supply water to their capital.

We need to be talking about the collapse of their currency, about unemployment.

Now, Scott Bessent talks. About those things, but we need to be sending that message back into Iran to delegitimize the regime. Because the last thing we want to do is be fighting an insurgency in Iran.

Well, Ken, let's continue on and stay in the Middle East there, and let's talk about Saudi Arabia for a little bit. They have resumed Red Sea oil exports, which is very key when it comes to talking about the Strait of Hormuz. All kinds of other things going on in Saudi Arabia as well. Could you give us their position right now?

Well, you may recall that the Iranians had attacked their oil pipeline that was taking oil into the Red Sea. I was about ten days ago. They have repaired it. They have new pumping stations. Those oil exports have resumed.

The Houthis are in Yemen, are serving as Iran's proxy for these attacks. By the way, the Houthis have also been attacking Mecca and Medina. Pretty extraordinary when you think about it, because the holy mosques in Mecca and Medina are supposed to be holy for all Muslims. But then you have the Houthis, who are Shia, who are backed by Iran, attacking these holy sites in Saudi Arabia with drones. Just this past week, they launched a drone attack that took out the transformer that was supplying power to the mosque in Medina, the second holy site.

These are the first such attacks by the Houthis since 2017.

So. This is an important development, and for the Iranians to attack Islamic holy sites is pretty extraordinary. And Ken, this comes amid the fact that the United States is considering selling F thirty five s to Saudi Arabia. Right, the president promised that to Mohammed bin Salman last November, and now the administration has kind of worked out all the paper the paperwork. They're going to send that to Congress.

Look, they are not going to send the same F thirty five s to Saudi Arabia that they send to Israel. I think it's pretty clear. They will be downgraded in certain ways, but there are concerns that there are that the Saudis have a military and intelligence relationship with the Chinese, and that Chinese. Intelligence officers could get access to the F thirty five s at Saudi air bases. This is something I am sure the administration is aware of, and something that they will work on to make sure it doesn't happen.

We do not want the Chinese to be getting access to our stealth technology. There was an incident just recently where there was a shipment of parts to Australia of F thirty five components, in particular the canopy, very sensitive because that is stealth. Stealthy, and that shipment got diverted, Rick, to communist China.

So I guarantee you, the Chinese military scientists are examining that canopy to see what makes it so stealthy. We don't want that to repeat itself in Saudi Arabia. Can final subject before I let you go today? The political winds of change are blowing in Europe, especially in Germany, and it could mean changes to for all of Germany, especially NATO. Can you talk about this?

Well, in Germany, they had a regional election recently, where the AFD, the Alternative for Germany, the so-called far right party, they're not as far right as people want to say. They just don't want to have a Muslim invasion of Western Europe, which I can understand at any rate. Mertz, the prime minister, he is going to lose his support. The AFD is very upset with him. Mertz is clueless.

He plays up Putin as the boogeyman, trying to get people to support him, but it's not going to work. But it's not only in Germany that you have election chaos. In Sweden, just this past week, the left-wing parties, which barely won the national election two weeks ago, they won it by three seats, one seventy. Six to one seventy-three, they could not form a majority, and this is as you have extraordinary investigations of voter fraud going in in support of the left-wing coalition. And this was among Somali immigrants in Sweden.

They were delivering pre-marked ballots for communist party candidates. The communists have joined the left, the social democrats.

So Sweden is in turmoil, and you don't know how that election is going to be finally decided. Apparently, there are eleven seats. That are being investigated for massive voter fraud, and they could have a retake, a new election in those eleven circumscriptions. And Rick, all this happens also as you have riots in France.

Now, in principle, Rick, these riots began with high schoolers where they were demanding more money for high schools, but very quickly they were taken over by the far left, the former communist party, and you saw a proliferation of Hamas flags, of Palestinian. Flags, riots in Marseille. You had open gunfights as well.

So Europe is really losing much of its social cohesion, Rick. And we are going to see the stitching of Europe's cohesion. I think begin to loosen in the weeks ahead. Very interesting.

Well, Ken Temmerman for prophecy today. Ken, as always, we appreciate your insight, looking at things geopolitically around the world. Thanks so much. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Thanks so much, Rick.

God bless. Great report, Ken. We're going to take a break, and when we come back, our Middle East news update with David Dolan, right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. I'm Liz Kramer with Mission Network News. Maharashtra's new anti-conversion law is barely a month old and already faces a constitutional challenge.

But it didn't come from Christians. An Islamic scholar recently filed a petition challenging the law. The case could bring renewed scrutiny to anti-conversion laws across India and whether or not they violate constitutional protections for religious freedom. One concern is how the law defines allurement to change someone's religion. Voice of the Martyrs.

USA's Todd Nettleson tells us, if your church has donuts and coffee before the service, they can point to that as an allurement. Oh, you are giving away free food in order to convert people to Christianity. And you know, my church has donuts and coffee before the service. I don't consider it an allurement. I think it's part of our fellowship time.

Ask God to remove gospel barriers in India. And through many months of waiting, God showed His perfect timing for World Missionary Press in a church in Mexico. You know the Lord does these things every once in a while, and it just keeps us going. Helen Williams says a pastor in Michoacan state had asked the ministry to send gospel materials last year. His community had faced a lot of unrest, and the church needed to share hope.

But new government paperwork delayed the shipment for months. The WMP team felt they needed to wait on the Lord. Then God. Connected them with someone who could help. In mid-August this year, the shipment finally reached the pastor and his congregation.

They had just started a gospel outreach the day before. Within days, they're on the streets with it, with the material, passing it out. I mean, it was just God's time. Well, this is the portion of the program we call it our Middle East News Update. We look at news coming out of the Middle East in general, but Israel in particular. To do that, we have with us journalist Dave Dolan. Dave, thanks for being with us today. It's always a blessing, Rick.

Well, Dave, the big story coming out of the Middle East and Israel for sure is the attempted hijacking of a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Can you tell us what happened in this dramatic episode?

Well, Rick, what was meant to be a week of celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles so closely turned into a week of mourning and disaster and multiple funerals with over a hundred and 60 Israelis on the Air Dubai jet that the co-pilot took over. Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he didn't smuggle on a knife. He used the emergency crash axe that all cockpits in the world have because since they put the reinforced doors after 9/11 on planes everywhere, they have to have a way to get out of the jet if it does crash and they're they're still alive.

So. That's what he said happened. He picked it up. Of course, that was on a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. There's some speculation he intended to take over the plane and then crash it into possibly the Knesset building in Jerusalem or some other public building.

So it would have been not just the 172 people overall on board that would die, but whoever else was hit. We'll find out all that and the other miracles.

So many miracles in this. But one of the main ones is that both the pilot and co-pilot are alive, and the co-pilot, the attacker in particular, and they're interrogating him. He was moved to the UAE yesterday, and Israel has sent some investigators, and the UAE, of course, itself is the Saudis are involved, and U.S. Crash experts are also said to be there, but they're going to find out who he was. They know now, as Netanyahu said, he was radicalized.

His online statements show that he was a Muslim fundamentalist. He talked about killing Jews and how he passed security to get on a flight bound to Tel Aviv is a huge question. And of course, Air Dubai stopped all flights to Israel immediately after the incident on Wednesday, and they haven't been resumed yet. Israel yesterday, Rick, sent several jets to Dubai to pick up to the UAE, not just Dubai, to pick up Israeli passengers that are still there, stranded there, not on that were intending to fly back on the Air Dubai flights that have been canceled.

So they're sending L. Jets and some others. There's been some complaints from the Abu Dhabi leaders that Israel's calling it a rescue mission. They're saying, well, there's nothing to rescue them from right now. We're not being attacked or under warfare.

They're here. They're fine. They're in their hotels. We're taking care of them. But Israel, frankly, wants to get them out of there, and Israelis from all of the region, frankly, Rick.

But just a series, as everybody knows by now, of real miracles. The former Prime Minister Bennett said, "No, it wasn't a miracle. It was highly trained people, and etc." Well, come on, you had a dentist, an Israeli dentist, Dr. Shoda Musayith. Who saved the life of the pilot?

He started to halt the bleeding and started working on him. That, as a plumber who is a huge hero, Rick now Yaniv Hayun, rushed into the cockpit also along with two other Israeli men. They restrained the attacker. They got ties and tied him up. They used actually the cords from the earphones that people had to tie him up and subdue him.

But it was this plumber that had watched the TV series Air Disasters, loved it, and knew how to level out the plane. Basically, as a result, even though he's a plumber, so he pulled on what they call the yoke. You know, they call it a stick in an Air Force. Plane, but it's called a yoke in commercial. He pulled that back.

Most people's instinct would have been maybe to push it forward, and he was able to stabilize the plane. And of course, Rick, it had fallen in 35 seconds. Seventeen thousand feet, they estimate. I mean, that's a steep dive in such a short time. And of course, as President Trump noted, it ripped off the rudder in the back.

In the process, it was spinning. Everyone was screaming. They were going up and down. Things were flying everywhere. And of course, everybody thought it was their last moments on Earth.

And they were praying and crying, etc. But those actions were amazing. And President Herzog met with the four men on Friday, and also one of the wives of one of the men, Tali. She was the one that alerted everybody on the plane that something was going on. She was sitting near the front.

She took her daughter up to the bathroom, the toilet next to the pilots, and heard the commotion in there, heard screaming, and announced it to people, and that. That's when the men came up, and that's more importantly when the two reserve pilots at the back of the plane. Came up now, Rick. That was a miracle. Why they were on that plane?

There normally is not a second pair of pilots, unless it's an over six, seven-hour flight. Then there's always two sets. But this wasn't scheduled to be that long. But because of the war this year, often these flights from the UAE and from other areas in that region are diverted because of bombing or whatever, and they may last another hour or.

So it's been a requirement that they have a second set, and these guys—one was stunned. They said one of the pilots, he just just was stunned that this was happening. The other one snapped right into position. They rushed up to the front and grabbed the the controls and were able to stabilize the plane fully because this plumber did a good job. He did a job to the point where they could finish the job, and of course.

He was in no way prepared to land a commercial jet. And know all the panels and know all the buttons and know all the routine. And besides that, the guy with the axe had already destroyed some of the equipment. They said he'd already started smashing at that. And Rick, it was announced on Thursday to the astonishment of the Jewish community in Australia that the most prominent Jewish couple in the country, Stephen and Carol Moss, I actually met them in Sydney at a Jewish event there.

That they were part. Of and sponsored, it was at the Parliament Building there in the 1990s. They were on the jet. They just recently sold a home in Sydney for 130 million dollars. But they're known as their philanthropy.

They've given copious amounts of money to Tel Aviv University and other Israeli projects, and inside of Australia as well. And not just Jewish causes, but others.

So they're a well-known couple in Australia, and they, of course, would have been toast as well as everyone else.

So it was miraculous. There's no question in my mind. There was a series of things that, if they hadn't happened, if the right people. Hadn't been there's some guy that watched this TV show all the time was in the first row, a plumber, etc. And the bravery of them and and Rick, I'm just going to say it.

I'm proud of these guys. I know everybody is, but what an amazing feat! And after so much bashing of Israel and the Israeli people over the past few years and all the controversy, to see them do this sort of a thing. Is just amazing thing, but of course now everybody's waiting, Rick, for the response. And if it does turn out, as Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump have both said, that Iran was connected to this or this behind this, then there's going to be a huge response.

And that comes, Rick, as we're preparing for a resumption of full warfare in the region. The USS Roosevelt coming in. New aircraft carrier from the states. There's three now. The Israelis are preparing.

Everybody's pretty sure that this desperate regime—it's now clearly on the outs—is going to try to do something on a major scale before they're thrust out.

So everyone's worried about that. But thankful that instead of a week of more funerals, we had a week of dancing and celebration. And Rick, today is. In Israel, last evening and today is Simchat Torah, the rejoicing in the law, and that is the anniversary of the October seventh attack. It took place on that Saturday morning, three years ago.

So there's mixed feelings in Israel as people remember, of course, that great slaughter that led to all of this. But the Western calendar date is next Wednesday, and that's when there's going to be some public commemorations of it.

Well, David, as I wrap up here, this episode certainly displays a resolve and a resiliency of the Jewish people. It's been on display since 1948, and even before that. And it also highlights the fact that God has a role to play for the Jewish people in the future.

Well, and Rick, these are the Jewish people, and those that recite the Psalms, which is a good portion, also recite that portion that says. We have received escapes from death from on high. That the Lord has delivered us from actual death, and that's of course what everybody is thinking now this week. And again, we know there's more trouble ahead and more warfare ahead, but a bright pause where everyone could hug each other, smile. And just sing with all of their hearts.

Am Israel high, the land of Israel lives, as they did, as the passengers were returning.

So, God has chosen Jerusalem. God has chosen Israel. It's not you. It's not me. It's nobody.

Nobody else but Him. And He said, "I'll look after you. I'll be your guard. You'll be under my wings." And so they are. Dave Dolan reporting for Prophecy Today.

Dave, thanks so much for being with us today. You're welcome, Rick. God bless. We're going to take a break right now on Prophecy Today, but when we come back, we'll have retired Lieutenant Colonel Bob McGinnis with us. Stay tuned.

That's all ahead right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. God's Word, the final authority. This is Ken Ham, editor of the best-selling apologetic series, The New Answers Books. Today we finish our series on how you can encourage your family to stand on the authority of God's Word. We've discussed reading, memorizing, talking about, and rejoicing in it.

Now, what do all these things have in common?

Well, they keep the Bible as a constant companion in your home. You know, when the Bible is held in this place, you and your family will welcome its authority in your life, and it will have the final say. When you are constantly reading, memorizing, discussing, and rejoicing in God's Word, you'll know what it says, and you can apply what you've learned. God's Word becomes the standard, the authority by which you think. There's so much more to learn at our website, AnswersRadio.com, and you can sign up for daily insights from Ken Ham at AnswersRadio.com.

Welcome back to Prophecy today. I'm Jimmy D Young Jr. Along with Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. You know, having a biblical worldview is very important, but having a prophetic biblical worldview is even more important. As I was looking at the news this week, I noticed that Russia is intensifying its military campaign against Ukraine while advancing a record two hundred.

And two billion dollar defense budget for twenty twenty seven, and escalating tensions with NATO. That's why I thought, Rick, we needed to get Colonel Bob McGinnis on the program.

Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have retired Lieutenant Colonel Bob McGinnis with us. He's a frequent contributor to this program, as well as many other top news programs and stations around the country. He's an author and retired military. Spent lots of time in the Pentagon, Colonel McGinnis.

Thanks for being with us. Today, glad to be with you, Rick.

Well, Colonel McGinnis, I have a lot to get to with you today, so let's get started with the summit: President Xi and President Trump meeting at the White House.

So much to take away strategically from this meeting. Can you give us your thoughts? You know, I think for the most part was a positive.

Now, the fact that they are trying to bring stability between the two major powers of the world is. Also noteworthy, there was some progress in artificial intelligence. Minimal, though. The fact that we're willing to discuss things, I think, is beneficial to all involved. But we need to go much further than that.

And so that's generally what I see from the summit. There, there were other issues. Clearly, Taiwan was an issue, and some of the the Iran mess was a point of discussion because Trump would like some assistance from Xi, but I don't think Xi's going to help.

Well, you mentioned the economic agreements, and maybe this lowered the temperature. But you look at China's ambition; they want to be the hegemonic power in the world.

Now, President. Trump is kind of playing it low key and saying that they have a good relationship. What do you think about this strategy? And how? I mean, can you give us your thoughts on China's ambition for the future?

Well, I've written about it extensively, Rick. As you know, China is the global hegemon. It is building its military for a very specific reason. It has the largest navy in the world, the largest ground force in the world. It's exploring outer space and promises to put a base on the moon in the next few years.

So all of this is symptomatic of President Xi and the Chinese Communist Party's long-term ambitions, and of course, its relationship and continued assistance to Iran and to Russia in its war with Ukraine. As well as others around the world, it just shows they're playing cards to a certain degree. We need to be pragmatic about it. I know President Trump is being diplomatic in spinning this as a positive. It looks good for him, of course, to point it as positive.

But at the same time, it's also part of his strategy, his long-term strategy, to stay close to your enemies. Because that will help us in the long term. Final question about China: as we look at the subject of Taiwan, and many people think that China is going to move on Taiwan, and it's a when, not if, question. Do you think that's true? Do you think it's going to be sometime soon?

And how will that change the relationship?

Well, President Xi has said before the end of his term, his intention is to have. Taiwan, where it belongs, and that is a not a breakaway republic, but part of the larger Chinese empire.

Now, whether or not you know that means it's going to happen by force, which is a possibility given all their posturing with jets and aircraft around the South China Sea, and Areas near the coastline of Taiwan. All of that is is pretty compelling information, suggesting that yes, they are going to eventually take it if they can. Yeah, I think one of the things that came out of the Xi summit with Trump was that they wanted a very make it very clear that. We want the U.S. or he wants the U.S.

to stay out of the Taiwan affair, not to support calls for independence for Taiwan, and to support the long-term reunification of Taiwan, much like they gained the unification of Hong Kong with China.

So that's kind of a The agenda, I think, pretty well spelled out. I don't rule out force. I'm not going to say that it's going to happen in a year or two years or ten years. I think either one will eventually happen. It's just a matter of the timing and the willingness of the Chinese Communists to do what's necessary.

Well, you mentioned Iran, and that was a point of contention between the relationship between President Trump and President Xi. Let's move on. There looks like oil shipments are moving through the Strait of Hormuz, being protected by the United States. And I know you've been concerned about the administration's the way they've been processing this war there. But do we think that we're maybe seeing a light at the end of the tunnel?

Well, I'm not convinced that the light at the end of the tunnel is on another train. The reality is we have to deal with what we have. I would not have. I didn't necessarily support the the initial operation because I don't know that it's had a demonstratable and prudent. Strategy going into this, the idea that we're going to bomb them into submission, I think, really ignores half a century of experience with the Iranians, and I've been dealing with it for half a century.

And so, yeah, yes, oil is moving. Yes, it's at some expense to the United States. Would I like to see a long-term solution and a democratic Iran? Of course. Do I think that's going to happen?

Near-term, unlikely. That part of the world, as you know, Rick and other your listeners, has been divided. Certainly, going back to when you know the Prophet Muhammad exited the cave there in Medina, you know, back in the 700s. And so things have have just not improved rapidly. And so, yes, this is the eighth United States president that's tried to deal with this quagmire of Islamic radicalism in the Middle East.

I think we've made some progress tactically. Strategically, I'm not convinced as yet, and as a result, yes, we may get the oil flowing at a more of a clip. But I don't necessarily think that we've heard the last of the ayatollahs and the mullahs in Tehran. There's no indication that I've seen that they're going to be. Usurped, replaced, and you know that that portion of the world is going to be in a better place in the near future.

Well, that was going to be my follow up question for you. You do not see any sign, or at least hope for, right now, regime change there.

Well, I know that the president keeps hinting at it, and I don't think there's anything of of real substance to back that up. There's not a A resistance internally that's significant. You know, the Ayatollah long ago took care of that by disarming resistance, and of course they chop heads literally of those that don't comply with their agenda, and the alignment behind the scenes, albeit you know denied by Russia and China and others. I just think we'll stabilize this.

Now I'm waiting for the election, and I think that our election in November will have a major impact on you know where we go with regard to Iran in the future. If if the Republicans can't hold on to the Congress, then more than likely, now that will cheer the. Mullahs in Tehran, and they'll say, "Okay, we won," because Trump's going to be forced to deal with impeachment calls and all sorts of Democratic Party resistance that will. Result in something that's going to be favorable to the Iranians. That's that's a view, but I think that that's a rather pragmatic viewpoint given what the the Iranians have been saying over the last few months.

So, you know, I don't see it ending soon. Those elections only five weeks away, and that is going to be a big issue as we go forward and how things are going to proceed.

Well, we talked about China, we talked about Iran, another major ally of theirs. Russia continues to slog on, and this—you know—there are arguments that Vladimir Putin has already reached to the point where he cannot accomplish his original objectives. There are arguments that he's finished. You put. Any credence to that, and if so, who's going to be next there to take over in Russia?

You know, that's the sixty-four thousand dollars question. You know, it's it's Putin seriously ill. You know, he's he's not a spring chicken, so he's going to have to be eventually replaced, much like the old. Dictators that were in the Soviet Union. You know, we went through a process of speculating who would be the next ruler of of that iron-fisted Soviet Union.

But I think Putin will, as pretty well, lock in his agenda. He he's very much about expanding Russia's interests across the region, which is why he sustains. Operations in Ukraine. He's beginning to manage, I would say, tension along the border with NATO, and he's done this much like what he did in taking over Crimea in 2014, and of course now launching operations against the Ukrainians in 2022. He's building infrastructure.

He's Be preparing through hybrid operations, what I call little green men, inserted into NATO countries to cause insurrection or at least instability. All of those are part and parcel to, I think, a long-term agenda here. And Putin is, you know, developed sufficient cronies and psychophants that. Whomever takes over once he steps down or dies will probably continue in the same fashion. We're looking at a mindset, a cultural mindset amongst the Russian people, which defies understanding here in the West.

But it's something we've observed for centuries, and we should not ignore that. It's much like how we've observed the Chinese. You have to study their culture. You have to study their history and their rank structure, their power structures. And when you understand those, then you know the instability of the world today does indeed make a lot of sense.

Well, it certainly does politically, prophetically as well. We'll talk about that before I let you go today. But I want to move on to another subject that you have written about, and you have an article on FoxNews.com. We'll put a link to it on our website at ProphecyToday.com. But you're talking about Greenland, and I think it works into Russia, NATO, and and then of course America's quest for national security.

Can you tell us a little bit about Greenland? What happened there this week, and why? Has suddenly become such an important piece of America's national security strategy.

Well, most Americans may not appreciate the Arctic and the importance it carries for the United States, especially North America. But what you need to do is get a map of the world, looking down from the North Pole.

So look at that map. And what do you see? Half of it is basically Russia, and of course they have nuclear facilities and the like along that rugged coast of northern Russia. The other half is made up of essentially three pieces: Alaska, a not giant piece; Canada, and then of course Greenland. And if you understand that Greenland is a linchpin to our national security of the northern hemisphere against Russian and Chinese, because the Chinese are, you know, locked in Flint with the Russians with regard to exploitation of minerals and energy and using security.

Of the Arctic for its advantage, then you begin to appreciate what Trump did this past week, and that is he worked with the Danes, he worked with Greenland itself, and they renewed an old agreement that goes back to '51 that basically says we can do what we must do to defend the northern hemisphere against the incursion of the Chinese and the Russians and others. And we're going to keep not only. Our space base there, but we're going to expand it to others.

Now, at one point, we had 15 different bases there during the Cold War.

So we're we're going to reopen some of the old stuff and build some new. And of course, NATO's aligned with us, and this appears to be, though the details are are hard to find, but it appears to be a pretty good agreement that you know we're not taking over Greenland, but we're. Going to use Greenland and have the permission of all the all the parties to do what is necessary to defend the United States.

So it appears as if it's a win-win.

Well, that certainly is good news as we look at the the the interest that we have from American national security standpoint.

Well, while I've got you on the program, I heard a story this week. It has been in the news almost every day, and I know you have a background at the Pentagon. You were in the military for so many years, retired Lieutenant Colonel.

Now, the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said he is going to reduce the number of generals and admirals. I've heard it described as. Fewer generals, more GIs. I was wondering what your take was on this. Is it a good thing?

What do you think?

Well, a bit of history might be useful here, Rick. During World War II, we had You know, maybe a third of the number of generals we have today, and yet we had seven million rather than less than two million in the ranks.

So, yes, there is proliferation. A lot depends upon what the civilians do in the Department of Defense, Department of War, and what the military will do. Do you need all these combatant commands? Perhaps. Do you need all these layers of Brigadier and Major General, Lieutenant Generals.

I don't think so. Yes, I have a quarter of century working inside the Pentagon. I knew hundreds of generals at all ranks, and can can colonels and Navy captains and the like do what generals do? Of course, you know that's where they came from. The problem with generals is they they have all this pomp and pageantry and.

Staff and it just becomes bloated bureaucrats, and so I'm all in favor of what Pete Hexaf is recommending, and that is to cut back the number of general officers.

Now, the issue always comes down to how do we retain quality. Personnel after so many years, if we're not going to elevate them to a higher rank, which gives them all the you know the salary and benefits, we've got to figure that out before we just gut the organization. You know, right now you have ceilings; you can't stay in past so many years as a full colonel.

Well, why? You know we're the one of the few nations in the world that has a professional military that you know requires you to depart after so many years, not because you're no longer useful, but because you know we've reached a magic number of years.

Well, that that doesn't mean make a lot of sense to me.

So if we're not going to promote people to flag general officer. Admiral, then let's try to retain their talent and pay them a little more. Most of these guys, and I know a lot of them, that you know leave, they go automatically to industry and then make a fortune.

So we've got to be smart about this. I think that you know, after all, Pete used to be my intern, so I know something about him, and he indicated that part of His cuts had to do with DEI, and I agree. You know, we don't need all this political correctness in the ranks, but nor do we need a lot of heavy-handed general officers. What we need is a force structure that is truly focused on warfighting, and if that's what you know, ultimately we end up with. I think we have a better result.

Well, I can certainly appreciate knowing your experience there, your knowledge here, and I appreciate you giving me your thoughts there.

Well, let's go to the final topic, and the topic that I want to talk about is artificial intelligence.

Now, you've written no less than three books on artificial intelligence, and you're publishing them. You can find them anywhere you buy your books, Amazon.com, or wherever you get books. But I know that was a big subject on this summit with G and and President Trump. I know we are basically in a new, what they would call a new Cold War. It's kind of like the space race with artificial intelligence now.

But there is concerns as well. Can you talk about the meetings this week involving artificial intelligence? Yeah, well, Trump's made it clear, especially in his UN speech and in this meeting with Xi, that we're going to beat China and. He's calling artificial intelligence now super intelligence, which is fine. You know, it's just another name.

He has, of course, written a number of executive orders. He's, you know, creating a AI czar, which I think is a good idea because somebody's got to understand what this is. This really means ultimately for the United States, not just national defense and our economy and so forth. And of course, it's all about competition. We, I know, Putin and Xi have both made statements to the effect that whoever wins AI wins the world.

Well, I think there's some truth to that. That's why I wrote the book, the new AI Cold War. Most people didn't realize we were in a cold war, but all every single indicator points in that direction. And that's why I challenge people to read that particular book, so they can appreciate you know what is transpiring before our very eyes. And I I nailed it.

It's just most people aren't attuned to these. Issues certainly as as I am, so we're in a cold war. Trump is is pushing hard to make sure that we win this war. My concern is if we take our eyes off this challenge, then as fast as AI is advancing, that we could lose the bubble very very quickly, and as a result, you know have. Major ramifications for us in terms of security and economic prowess in this global fight.

So it's an important one—one we should not ignore. And I think a lot of people are more focused on their their pocketbooks without recognizing geopolitically, and I would argue even spiritually what is going on in the world today.

So. Become educated, understand where we are, and maintain your Christian discernment, which is absolutely essential. I certainly do believe that it's such a large issue, and we do need to have a Christian perspective. I appreciate you and the books that you have written. What do you think about the fact that President Trump is really getting in tight with the major technological companies, and they have agreed to what they call a voluntary AI safety controls, rather than imposing broad government regulation?

What do you think about this? You know, it's that's the the point of contention. I think it's hard to self-regulate if you're OpenAI or Anthropic or Google, Microsoft, Meta. All of these, you know, they're out there trying to make money, and the fewer impediments they have toward making money, it's something that they seek. Trump is a businessman.

I think he's trying to tread both issues and straddle both issues as best as he can without impugning the efficiency and the advancement of the AI community. But if you read what. The Amadees, the anthropics of the world, are saying that they're not sure that they can necessarily do it without outside governance, and that's why the UN Secretary General. Called for a global restraint. The Chinese understand it, and I think Xi and Trump had some discussions on this.

But you know, if you steady one hand and don't steady the other hand, then one gets ahead of the other, and that ultimately ends up in a bad outcome for the rest of us.

So this is not easy. This is far more complex than the. Nuclear race we had with the Soviets because I can measure warheads, I can measure the the production of enriched uranium, I can measure all sorts of things in that realm. This is hard because it's software. How do you measure software?

How do you measure its impact on all the systems? Of national security, much less all the aspects of an economy. This is something that's hard to do, and so I know the president is focused on it. That's why we're going to have a czar on AI. We're going to do a lot of, a lot more things.

Congress, unfortunately, doesn't seem to. Get it yet? They haven't passed a single law, and I think they're at least a decade, maybe two, behind.

So all of these issues are of grave consequence. We need to get a get a handle on it. And yet, most Americans are now focused mostly on data centers, and I understand that. I've gone to public hearings on this, but it's more than water. It's more than the cost of electricity.

It's more than what You know, AI is giving us in terms of better medicine and better finance accounting. It has a very dark and evil side as well, and so we have to really come to grips with this. and I'm not sure we're quite there yet. Again, I appreciate the fact that we need this.

Something that is going on is changing so quickly; it's not easy to get a grasp on. It's it's complicated. You've written three books on it. I encourage our listeners who want to develop a Christian worldview on this subject to go find those books and read those books.

Well, final question for you today, as we look at all that we've talked about the geopolitical considerations with Russia, China, Iran, artificial intelligence, all of These things taking place, we know that as we look at Bible prophecy and what the Bible says is going to happen in the future, we certainly, at the very least, see the stage being set for that end times scenario to begin, don't we?

Well, there's no doubt about it, and I think you know certainly the likes of artificial intelligence demonstrates some of the possibilities as to how we find the end times playing out, whether it's Revelation 13 and 14 and the mark of the beast, which I write about, of course, or you you see other aspects of things that you just don't know what to trust these days because. You know these systems lie so well, and they're so much smarter than we are.

So there's so much that's out there that geopolitically, as well as you know, just interface in our economic realities that. Yeah, it makes us question. Yeah, we just might be on the cusp of the end times, or we're, or perhaps you know, the Lord will carry much longer, and we're going through a metamorphosis that is something that we quite can't grasp as yet. But we better hurry up and you know, really ratchet up our own biblical discernment about what's going on around us. Excellent advice from retired Lieutenant Colonel Bob McGinnis.

Bob, as always, we love having you on the program. You provide so much insight. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Well, thanks, Rick. Have a great day.

Great job, Bob, and you're a great friend of the ministry as well.

Well, we've got to take a break, and when we come back, our legacy series with Dr. Jimmy DeYoung, right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. Along with my brother Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word.

What a great first hour of the program! And if you happen to miss any of it or any portion of the interviews, and you want to catch up with it later, we do have Apple Podcasts and our program is on our website at Prophecy Today. com, and we would love for you to go there. By the way, here's a little secret: if you want to watch all of our DVDs that Rick and I did with my father over the years, you can go to our website, click on that little tab that says "Videos," and some of them will show up. If you go there, you can join a free subscription and watch all of our videos there, and give you access anytime you want it to learn more about Doctor.

Jimmy DeYoung, his teaching, and what he's taught us over the years, and what he continues to teach.

Well, speaking of that, our legacy series as we continue to look at the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. What takes place in Genesis sets the stage for the prophecies of Revelation to be fulfilled. The first nine chapters of the book of Genesis unfold before we come to where we will begin our study today. We will be. Looking at what happened after the flood of Noah's day, we'll see how the nations came into existence.

Our human government was established, and the foundation for Bible prophecy. Genesis ten and eleven set up the scenario for the end of times. Bible prophecy, as foretold in the prophetic book of Revelation, however. We'll start our study in Genesis chapter nine.

So please take your Bible and let's go to the book of Genesis with Dr. Jimmy D Young and the Legacy Series. Take your Bibles and let's go to the book of Genesis, if you will, with me. Genesis, and remember as I reflect again and rehearse how Genesis unfolds. Chapter one is creation.

Chapter two, the special effects of creation. Chapter three, the fall of. Man, Chapter Four: The Story of Cain and Abel. Chapter Five is the genealogy. Chapters Six, Seven, and Eight is Noah and the Flood.

Chapter Nine is Noah after the flood. Let's go to Chapter Nine with me, if you will. Chapter Nine and Verse One. You might remember reading in chapter eight that the ark was resting on the mountains of Ararat, and there in the mountains of Ararat, Noah and his three sons and their four wives would depart the ark, and then God would give them a demand, a command as to where they were to go. I have a very interesting story.

One of the guests who used to come here to the end and give testimony, and one of the men that did that for a number of Years was Colonel James Irwin. You might remember Jim Irwin. He was on Apollo fifteen. Jim was with the crew Apollo fifteen. He stepped down on the moon, brought those moon rocks back, and because of that time that he would come here, we developed a relationship over the years.

And I had the unique opportunity of becoming a friend of Jim, having him tell me some of the things about the moonwalk. But what interested me as well was his. His avocation after he walked on the moon, he was in search of Noah's Ark. He spent almost every summer over in eastern Turkey in the mountains of Erat, climbing the mountains looking for Noah's Ark. He told me on one trip returning from that location that he believed they knew exactly where it was.

Now you might recall that was the trip when he slipped on the ice because even in July when he was there, ice covered. I mean, it was the Mountains, the top, the peaks were covered, of course, with snow and ice. But ice covered most of the mountains of Ararat even throughout the summer, and so it was very difficult to find the ark. He slipped, almost went into one of the crevasses, almost killed himself. And when he returned to JFK in New York, Judy and I were living in New York.

When he returned there, he had his daughter call me and say, "Jimmy, come get me and get me through security, and I don't want to go meet the press. Get me out of those." Journalist path. I don't want to talk to him, and so I guided him, and we came out. and He said, "Man, thank you for saving me." said I didn't want to have to answer those journalists as to how I could walk on the moon, but I couldn't walk on the mountain, you know. And but he told me about this search for for Noah's Ark over there on the mountains of Ararat.

One of the interesting things about that to me was, though, it gave me a better understanding because, as we're going to see in just a moment, when they landed. There on the mountains of Ararat, they would move south into the plains of Shinar. Shinar meaning the two rivers. It's the area of biblical times, Mesopotamia, which also means the two rivers. We're talking about the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers.

But when they landed there, God appears to Noah and gives him some instruction. Look at chapter nine and verse one. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and He said unto them, "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish." The Earth. I like my translation a little bit better. Repeople the Earth.

One billion people had been destroyed on the Earth, and now eight people God had saved, preserved, and was going to give them an opportunity to start the experiment all over. And so he wanted, he wanted Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their four wives, to be fruitful, to produce children, and to repeople the Earth. That was the command. It was. Not to stop and stay in one place, but re-people the earth.

Forget about what's happened; it's over now. Go out. Let's re-people the earth. And I believe when we're looking at Genesis chapter one verse nine, where it talks about God bringing the mass of land together, that was one land mass, which we called Earth, which we know as the surface of the the land surface of the Earth today. And I don't believe that separated until the days of Peleg, chapter ten and verse twenty-five, when not only the land Separated, but the people and the languages separated as well.

But in the process, God had given the command to Noah to go out and follow through with this repopulating the earth. Just this little sidebar: look at verse six, because here's where he establishes human government. He established the institution of marriage in Genesis chapter two. Over in Acts chapter two, he will establish the institution of the local church. Here's He establishes the institution of human government.

Verse six: Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed. For in the image of God made he man. You see, God made man in His image, and to kill, to murder someone, is blasphemy against Almighty God.

Now you have to understand, and there is some complexities in understanding the Bible. We must always remember that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Means He's all powerful, all knowing, and always present. He is God. We cannot understand God.

We have No capability of understanding God. We just believe God. We take Him at what He says to be what He wants to for us to understand. We must accept that we are not God, so we don't have an opportunity. We have no privilege to reason with God.

Here He sets up human government by establishing what we would refer to today as capital punishment. He said, "You murder somebody. I am going to take your life. Do you understand that? And I'm establishing a structure by which this shall be followed.

Capital punishment is the epitome of human government. Oh, there's a big discussion today about capital punishment as to whether we should do it or not. Seemingly, there always those advocates against." Capital punishment are the advocates for abortion. I do not understand that. I mean, if you talk about this being complex, how complex is that?

And and and then if they even talk about it, let me just remind you of something, my dear friend. Life does not start at birth. Life does not start at conception. Life starts in the mind of God. Jeremiah chapter one and verse five.

God said, "I chose you before you came out of your mother's womb, before your mother conceived you. I chose you in eternity past in my mind to be a prophet to the nations." So that's where life begins. He establishes human life in his mind in eternity past. But he says, if you kill someone that I have created in my image, I'm going to have to take your life as well. Capital punishment.

You know, basically, human government has two roles, and that's all: to protect us from outward attack, and to protect us from inward destruction. That's all human government is for. According to the planners of this human government that was established in the United States of America, oh, we've taken it much farther than that. You know, it is so bad. But here is human government.

Now you say, well, what about war? That's killing people.

Well, I understand that. I said the complexities. God does justify war. King David prayed to God and said, "May my fingers be used for fighting, may my hands be used for killing." And so there is a justification for for war, and we're not going. Into that subject, but I'm simply saying this is the location where God establishes human government.

Now go over to chapter ten, and verse one, and I want to show you how. What we see here is the beginnings of obedience to what God said to do. Genesis chapter ten and verse one. And let me just say, as I start to read chapter ten, I want you to know chapter eleven is going to give the details. Chapter ten is a genealogy.

We're looking at a genealogy. This is not advancing history here. It's simply telling you what's going to happen. When we get to chapter eleven, you'll see that the people are of one language and in one. Location, and God's going to come and confuse their languages and cause them to spread out across the world.

That's chapter eleven. That's making progress after chapter nine, and they're going to be doing what God told them to do. Howbeit, He's going to have to force them to do it. Chapter ten is explaining that.

So don't say that as you read Genesis chapter nine, then chronologically chapter ten, and then chapter eleven. That's not the case. Chapter eleven verses. Excuse me. The first nine verses are dealing with what is going to happen in chapter ten, as an explanation of how that all happens.

But let me look at chapter ten with you first, because I want to set up where I'm going.

Now, these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and unto them were sons born after the flood. Notice, here's the first son, Japheth. The sons of Japheth were Gomer and Magog. Oh, pretty interesting. Keep reading.

Skip a skip a couple. Meshech and Tubal go to the last one in verse three. Tegarma. Wow, have we heard of those guys before? These are sons of Japheth, grandsons of Noah.

May God, Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, Tegarma. They go forth as grandsons, doing what God told them to do.

Now after. After chapter eleven, verses one to nine takes place. Notice what happens in verse five of chapter ten. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands, every one after his language, after their families in their nations.

Now you understand what I'm saying to you. Go here to chapter eleven, just a moment. Verse seven. Here's God speaking. He said, "Go to, let us go down." And that proves the Trinity, by the way.

By there, go to, let us go down there and confound their languages that they may not understand one another's speech.

So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore, the name of it is called Babel, because the Lord did there confound the languages of all the earth, and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of the earth. Chapter eleven. Verse one says, and the whole earth was of one language and one speech. As we read chapter ten, verse five, it says they go to a certain real estate piece of real estate geographical location.

There, they will establish their families, develop their language, because the one language will be divided into many languages, and that would cause them to scatter upon the face of the earth. And notice what it says in verse five. And they brought their nations into existence. The beginning of nations is taking place forty five hundred years ago, and they basically are put in place by the languages they will speak. Languages.

Will play a key role. A line in the sand is not the true border. It's the language that is spoken, and those language groups that help establish the nations. It's after the one language was confused by God when He came down there at Babel. Human languages were used 4,500 years ago to establish the borders of all the nations of the world.

These nations that came into existence right after the flood of Noah's day will be the nations which play a key role in the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Next week in our study, we'll see that one of those nations in end-time prophecy was established by Ishmael, Abraham's son. I didn't say the Arab world, but one nation that was fathered by Ishmael. This truth is key to understanding Bible prophecy, and you do not want to miss our next study next week. Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and the Legacy Series.

You can go to our website, and you can find more out about his audio series that we have available. There's a couple of books, and of course, as I told you earlier, the DVDs.

Well, we got to take a break, and when we come back, Rick and I will take a look at the book right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. More than 2.6 million people across Thailand have been affected by recent heavy rains, and at least 23 have died. The government has approved 122 million dollars in emergency funds to help flood victims nationwide. The deluge threatened an important A3 Global Leadership meeting this week in Bangkok.

We connected with Joe Handley early Thursday. Obviously, there's a massive problem going on. Here in Thailand, but over and above that is a spiritual dimension. Meeting face to face helps A3 leaders build strong relationships. Praise God that leaders made it to the conference safely, despite the disruptions.

The good news: floodwaters are receding, but thousands of people still remain in temporary shelters. Pray for the Thai church as they rally to meet those in need and share the truth and hope of Christ. And finally, the gospel faces severe restrictions in Somalia, but Somali Christian TV is reaching Somalis worldwide. The co-founders recently shared their story on a podcast with the Voice of the Martyrs Canada. The ministry began with a prophecy, and I had like this small voice, the Lord saying, "I'm building my church among the Somalis, and no one can stop." Their first video drew widespread attention and was followed by threats from the Muslim community, but they still launched the media project every day.

People call to learn more, and more are added to God's kingdom. Gospel TV also offers greater privacy, as converts may face persecution from Muslim family and neighbors. Pray that more Somalis will respond to the gospel, and that God will protect those reaching them. When they hear the loving God, salvation, how Christ loves them, you know the good news, they love it. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of One Way Ministries.

Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. and along with Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, at the outset of the program, I talked about having a biblical worldview and brought up the fact that we had to have a prophetic biblical worldview, which even works even better. And we've talked about that before on the program, and it's so very important.

I feel like interviews with Ken Timberman, David Dolan, Bob McGinnis really good today.

So I think that's something that we really appreciate the information that they give to us, and it's very relevant. All those nations, the leaders, military powers on the move. Hours, for instance, heading to the Middle East, and President Trump saying that the war will be. Over soon, so he must have a plan up his sleeve, wouldn't you agree? I would certainly hope so.

I know that God has a plan up His sleeve, if you want to put it like that. And so we know that this is all in His timing and prophetic timeline, going looking forward. But you know, Jimmy, you talk about having a Christian worldview and having a prophetic worldview. One thing that that has helped us do on this program is is look at key trends that are taking place in the world today and that are kind of Telling us where we are at in God's prophetic timeline, one of them was the alignment of the nations. We talked about that quite a bit today, as we look at China and Russia and Iran, and what's happening in Europe.

So we certainly did cover that today. Another one is what we call the arrangements for the temple, the arrangements for the building of the third temple. And to that end, I have a listener who he sent a note into us today, and he said. Yeah. He was calling regarding a video that we did, you and I did with our dad, the late Doctor Jimmy Young, on the Temple Mount, presenting the ready to rebuild video.

He wanted to know when it was produced, and he wanted to know if there are any more recent developments regarding that temple to be rebuilt on the Temple Mount, Jerusalem. Jimmy, you were very involved in that. You know a lot about that. Tell us, tell us about what you remember about putting that video together, and then maybe some updates. Yeah, well, we had.

The first video, the very first video that that Dad did, was called "Ready to Rebuild," and then twenty years later, we updated that video and called it "Ready to Rebuild Revisited." And we revisited everything that had been done in the previous twenty years leading up to the video.

So much has been done. The you know a lot of implements have been put together for the Jewish. People to rebuild a temple. The Temple Institute, Jerusalem-based organization, states its goal is to rebuild the Holy Temple and a lot of the ritual vessels, the priestly garments, blueprints based on ancient texts, including Talmudic texts and Josephus, the ancient writings of Josephus describing the temple, but also using. Ezekiel, and that was a very interesting process for them because there are a lot of items that are missing in Ezekiel's temple.

Now, just to be clear, Ezekiel's temple is not the next temple to be built. John was told to measure a temple in Revelation chapter eleven. Jesus talked about a temple in Matthew chapter twenty-four. The abomination of desolation will be set up in a temple, and of course that Matthew. 24, Luke 21, Mark 13.

They're all talking about Jesus's return to the earth.

So we know those passages pertain to when Christ returns to the earth, not to the rapture of the church, but Like you said, one of the major trends of Bible prophecy that we keep our eyes on is the rebuilding of a temple in the city of Jerusalem, and they already have the implements that are used in the sacrifices—the knives that they would use. We've videoed a sacrifice of a lamb practice, you know, because the priests have to know what to do when the temple is rebuilt, so they are practicing. They're studying. They have. Many men that are listed on a database of people that are, I guess you would say, qualified to do the priestly duties.

They are studying those things and preparing to build a temple. They even have the priest garments for the high priest have already been given out to people that are qualified to be the high priest. And on our video, "Ready to Rebuild Revisited," we interviewed several men that are involved in this process. says, "Hi, I'm Richmond, of course, and then Nachman Kahana, who has received the first garment to be the high priest." Yes, there's a lot going on in Israel pertaining to the temple. In fact, the minister of government Ben Gavir went up onto the Temple Mount and said that you know, during the Feast of Tabernacles, the temple is ours.

We are the masters of the house.

So there's a lot of movement going on about building a temple. In Israel at this point, but yeah, we we we did the video, so today it's very relevant. It certainly is, Jimmy, and it is beneficial to us. If you go watch it online, we'll provide a link on our website at prophecytoday.com. You can watch the video free of charge.

Now, of course, we used to sell the DVD, and and we still do sell the DVD, but times are changing, and so if you want to, you can watch it online for free. If you like the video, support our ministry, so we can keep on doing things like that. Jimmy, that first video was done by Dad in maybe ninety two, ninety three, ninety four, somewhere right in there, the early nineties. And you said twenty years later, we did an update, and it's probably time to do another update again. And because it's been a linear progression, we look at what's taking place on the Temple Mount.

You talk about Ben Gurion up on the Temple Mount. You talk about a thousand Jews ascending the Temple Mount for the recent Sukkot, Jewish Feast of Tabernacles and openly praying. This is something that has just been incrementally changing. We talk about that. We did a special program a few weeks ago, and we talk about that with Winky all the time.

It's been a linear progression as we look. And again, if you could just explain for our listeners why it's so important to see that that temple is going to be built because it's going to stand during the tribulation. Correct. That's absolutely correct, Rick. And really, all these things are foreshadows of things.

Come, and so as we see these things, it helps us to understand that we are getting closer and closer to the timeline of the rapture. Because the very next thing to happen is the rapture of the church, and then the antichrist will come on the scene and allow the Jews to rebuild a temple in the city of Jerusalem. And that's what we constantly look at. And with the things that we've seen today, Rick, the things that we've talked about, even this question about the. Interest in the temple—it's all there for us to be ready to understand that the time is very short, and that imminent event of the rapture of the church could happen at any moment.

Rick, thanks so much for doing the program today. We thank you a lot for the things that you've done, and we're excited about again being able to edify and educate the body of Christ. And with everything that we've seen, the rapture of the church can't be that far away.

So let's keep looking up. Until, thank you so much for joining us today. This is Jay Johnson inviting you to join us again next week for more of Prophecy Today.
