Welcome to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., and along with my brother Rick, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Did you know that there are seven Jewish festivals or feasts outlined in the Bible? While they are mentioned throughout Scripture, we find instructions for all seven laid out in Leviticus chapter 23. Leviticus 23:2 refers to the seven Jewish festivals, literally appointed times, also called holy convocations.

These were days appointed and ordained by God to be kept to the honor of his name. These times of celebration are important not only to Israel, but also to the overall message of the Bible. Because each one foreshadows or symbolizes an aspect of the life, death, and resurrection. Of the Lord Jesus Christ. Rick, on today's program, we're going to be talking about that.

And let me say to you, Shonatuvah, this is the greeting that you will hear throughout the Jewish world, especially in Israel, Shonatuvah Hakzamaek. It's the time of the new year, the Feast of Trumpets. Rick, this is a special program today, and it's going to be a little bit different. And most of our folks that listen to us all the time will recognize that Ken Timmerman will not start off the program today. We're going to start out the program with our news from Israel with David Dolan, and we'll talk to Winky Medad.

We are going to hear a little bit from Winky Medad about how the Jewish people in Israel are celebrating. Shanatava or the new year, Rosh Hashanah. But we're going to start with David Dolan and then Winky Medad on Israel issues. Then we're going to go to Ken Timmerman. And today, folks, this is a very special because Ken Timmerman was at the 9-11 Memorial yesterday, Friday, September 11th.

And Ken's going to give us his recollection of history. Past present and future. And we'll do that on today's program along with Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and my good friend Pastor Glenn Carter. I will be up in Booth Bay, Maine, September 25th, 26th, and 27th.

And today I'm going to have Pastor Glenn Carter on the program with me. But, Rick, we got a lot to cover.

So let's get started with our first, David Dolan. Journalist Dave Dolan joins us to talk about the news coming out of the Middle East. Dave, thanks for being with us today. Glad to be with you, Rick.

Well, David, let's talk about the news coming out of Israel, especially their interaction with the Iranian proxy Hezbollah. Yes, Rick, really all of the news this week is connected in one way or another to Iran. In Lebanon, in South Lebanon, the IDF announced on Thursday they had completed destroying all of the underground bunkers, several miles worth of underground bunkers, Rick, on the Beaufort Castle Ridge and just in front of it. And that was a major development. But as I mentioned last week, We found out there were some Iranian Revolutionary Guards actually stationed there with the Hezwollah fighters that were planning attacks upon northern Israel.

And during the week, again, Iran warned that Israel could be subject to another barrage of missiles if it continues its actions in Lebanon, the Israeli leadership said, well, we're going to complete this job and we're going to have safety for our forces in the south. But it was very loud on Wednesday and Thursday, Rick. They even warned residents of northern Israel, you're going to be hearing a lot of explosions as we complete the demolition of this major military complex that Hezville had, that Iran funded and helped build. And so don't worry about it. We'll be keeping alert, of course, in case Hezbollah responds.

And there were more threats from Hezbollah. to do that. And then the other proxy, Hamas, we again had some idea of action in the Gaza Strip. Two senior Hamas military leaders were killed in those targeted attacks during the week, Rick. But the main action was south of Israel in the Red Sea and the action going on with the Houthis on the offensive all week and taking on Thursday a very strategic site, Parim Island, that's right in the center of the Baba Mandeb Strait.

Now, unlike the Strait of Hormuzrik, this is only sixteen miles wide at its widest point, and it's narrower than that in some places. And that island I just mentioned is right in the center of it.

So that gives the Houthis and, by proxy, Iran, a new level of control there. They also took a port city called Mocha, which is nearby, about thirty miles north of there.

Now these were held by the regular Yemeni government, and this is a long story I won't go into now, but there's the regular internationally recognized Sunni Arab government of Yemen that still controls the eastern half of the country, but now the Houthis have taken virtually all of the West RIC, including the capital city of Sana'a, and of course now they control the entire coast.

Well, this is of great concern not only to the Saudis and they also bombed their oil pipeline, the Houthis did on Thursday in the center of Saudi Arabia and disrupted oil supplies there, but also for Israel. You know, the Red Sea port, its outlet to Asia. And Israel does a lot of business with Asia, and of course with India and other countries in that area, with Australia, etc. It is south through the Red Sea and through that narrow strip. Strait of Babo Mandeb.

So the Israelis are very concerned about it. The prime minister, the defense minister, and the head of the Navy all issued statements during the week, Rick, saying that they're watching the situation very closely. Israel's security is involved. And Netanyahu on Friday, it was said that he called the Saudi ambassador and said, We're ready to help you, physically help you with other countries to keep this straight open. Of course, the Houthis so far are saying they're just targeting.

Saudi ships and not as raby ones, but it would be real easy to include them. And analysts have pointed out, Rick, that unlike Hormuz, they don't need radar. you can see the ships visibly and controlling this island in the center means they're right in the center of all the action.

So it's very, very difficult. And as a result of all this, Rick, The Israelis carried out a major military exercise in Eilat. Of course, that's the southern port city next to the Jordanian city of Aqaba that's been bombed by the Iranians in recent days, and a U. S. Marine base there as well.

If there is a surprise A Houthi attack, which they believe they may be planning, and that would probably be a nighttime assault rick. But the Israelis are well aware of that threat, but they certainly don't want to see what happened next to Gaza happen in the south of the country in Eilat, and of course also in the north.

Well, that certainly seems to be good news, but we look at the situation with the Houthis in the Red Sea. You talked about that. How serious is this, David? Is this a game changer, for lack of a better term? As we look at what is going on there, we talk about how the Strait of Hermuse has captured the attention of the world economy.

Is this something that could be similar?

Well, it's as I mentioned, how narrow it is, it's much worse than the Strait of Hormuz. It has been, as President Trump has made clear many times, it's been possible for the U. S. Navy at night usually to escort out of the Gulf six, eight, twelve, subnights, sixteen, twenty. Tankers in the southern route because it's deep enough, wide enough, the gulf is.

That the Revolutionary Guard needs radars. They need those sorts of aids. To actually attack the shipping. And of course, they attacked. Three more Western ships this week, and the Americans responded by hitting the Iranian tankers, five of those, and there was other action over there.

So, in other words, you can't slip by. In the Babo Mandeb Strait, you can't slip by unseen there. The Houthis will see you and just anti-tank missiles, Rick. can reach the ships. and over them up.

So it's a serious development for sure. And just the fact that they're on the offensive, the Hoopies, and really they've been surprising everyone. And Rick, another thing I should add, the media reports say that Prime Minister Netanyahu was phoned twice on Thursday by the Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman. Asking him to join the fight and to send U.S. aircraft right away to stop.

the Houthis from capturing the entire they have the entire coast now along the Red Sea from Yemen, the entire whereas the regular government still held portions of it until recently.

So it's a very serious development, Rick, a very strategic point. And again, there's other ways the Saudis can take their oil up through the Suez Canal, out through the Strait of Gibraltar, down the coast west coast of Africa, around the Horn of Africa, and then be back to not even where they would have started. if they were just going through the Red Sea down to the Indian Ocean.

So it's a major strategic move for sure. And Iran is behind it, Rick, and it just shows that they are determined to carry on with this war. And it looks to most analysts like it's going to be a pretty hot fall Particularly with the U. S. elections coming, they want to see Trump's party defeated, and they want to do everything possible that they can do to make that happen.

all these things taking place, we look at the situation from a geopolitical level, setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled, this chaos in the Middle East, you know, it kind of plays right into what the Bible says is going to happen in the future, doesn't it? It does. And again, we liken it to the chessboard, and the Bible has given us the outlines of the final battles of history and what countries would be against Israel in particular, others that would be friendlier, and the various alliances that would take place in the Arab world, Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. We have a lot. But the details are not yet filled in.

But the chess pieces are definitely on the board, and they're moving around and they're moving faster than ever as we get closer and closer to the Lord's return. And I think most believers today, Rick, would agree with this statement. The signs are screaming. that the second coming is coming soon and the Lord's kingdom is coming to this earth. And that is the bright light in all of this pretty depressing news otherwise.

It certainly is the good news. Dave Dolan giving us an update politically and prophetically on what is taking place in the world and especially in the Middle East right now. Dave, thanks so much. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Blessed to do with it.

David Dolan with our news from the Middle East. We've got to take a break, and when we come back, Israel Madonna, right here on Prophecy Today weekend. I'm Neith Kramer with Mission Network News. Tuesday's Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian cities are another manifestation of the Iranian regime's long arm. Monasil with Transform Iran says using proxy groups was Iran's norm before it was moved into direct conflict with Israel and the U.S.

last year. Then we went into a whole time of, well, are we going to make a deal? Are we going to have a ceasefire? Which, for the people involved, isn't great news because that means just ongoing suffering with no resolution. Today, the people of Iran face intense poverty as the government uses funds for military purposes.

Iran is facing some very dark days, but the Word of God is very clear about the power of light in dark places, and we are the carriers of that light. The church is the carrier of that light. Find a 10-day prayer guide for Iran in the full story at missionnews.org. And hidden daily pressure is being put on the church in Central Asia. David Durance with Teach Beyond says.

The headline looks okay. Hey, there might be even more freedom, but the undercurtain is still very difficult. As long as the church keeps to itself, there's no trouble. But believers can go to prison if they share the gospel. Governments suppressing Christ target children's education.

In some places, Christians sharing the story of Jesus with their own children is illegal. Kids are also not allowed to be in church with their parents. Durance says. If we do education really well, often it includes some level of English education. Suddenly, doors that are jammed shut or slammed on us start opening.

Teach Beyond recently got permission to open multiple Christian schools. Pray they would find the teachers. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of one-way ministries. We're listeners supported by people just like you.

Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., along with my brother Rick. We're examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word.

Well, a good friend of ours and a good broadcast partner that we've had. Over the years, Isra Medad Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Yisrael Madat with us. We call him Winky because that's his nickname. He's the former mayor of Shiloh.

He's on the program often. Winky, thank you for joining us today. Again, thank you very much for having me on.

Well, as I mentioned, you're the former mayor of Shiloh. You live in the area that the world calls the West Bank. We call it Judea and Samaria because that's what the Bible calls it. And that area of the world has been in the news for several reasons this week. The first, starting with a decision made by the United Kingdom, a diplomatic decision.

And Israel responded. Could you tell us a little bit about the situation and give us your thoughts on it? Announced by the Foreign Secretary. Which is like the uh Secretary for Foreign Affairs in the United States. Ed Milleband.

Proclaiming he's a proud Jew. And I don't usually discuss Jewish items on this radio and program unless you ask me specifically.

So I won't judge him and how good he is. said that in another nine months sanctions of an economic sort, basically. We placed on Products Industries, I'm not quite sure exactly. But in the economics Of Jews living in Judea and Samaria. It's unclear, of course, if he also means anything else, or he means also.

the new uh Jerusalem post sixty seven neighborhoods. Uh which might be even more difficult uh to agree to. And this has caused a storm. Not only because It's basically ridiculous to put into practice. But even if they try, the main Losers.

Who will be the Arabs of the Palestinian Authority. who work in these industries and can put food on their table. because we are a non-apartheid. Population, and we have Arabs working in all sorts of jobs. It's been restricted a bit since October two years ago, but you and I have been interviewing.

For now, probably close to a decade.

So I think from the neighborhood of close to 20,000 Arabs. that work in and around the communities and will lose their income just like what happened with SolarStream. If anybody remembers that, someone had a bright idea, shut down Soda Stream. that worked in Ma'ale'ad's plant was in Ma'ale Dumim. and hundreds of Arabs.

went home hungry.

So uh That's the core issue. If they think they're going to force Israel uh into the two-state solution that way They're grossly mistaken, and Israel has already responded.

Well, if you could talk about how they responded, but also I just want to emphasize what you said there. These industries are based in that area. You know, a large majority of those workers are Palestinians. There are Arabs working there, giving themselves a chance to provide a better life for themselves, for their family. This is not necessarily going to hurt the Jewish people, although it's just kind of absurd in a way.

But anyways, could you talk a little bit about how Israel responded?

Well, the first response was I think we gave the British Consulate. In Jerusalem, which has been opened, if I'm not mistaken, somewhere in the neighborhood. of 1830 or something like that. 30 days to get out of town. We're shutting it down.

It's not very symbolic, it's that a lot of the political subversive work is being done through that. Consul generals out here at Shiloh I visited them. And I know that they're bad news, but okay, that's diplomacy. We told the military delegation to the Gaza Overseeing or supervising committee. that they've got seven days to get out of the Headquarters down south in Steyrot.

And I think two or three other Items are on the agenda or have been announced. And of course we're holding back. on something very important. Britain gets an awful lot of intelligence on terror the world over from the Mossad. Not only Jewish or Israeli.

Connected information. But information from ISIS or other terror groups, mainly Islamist. but also revolutionary groups and all sorts of that. If the British don't want to cooperate with us, well, maybe some of their people will suffer terror. because they're not getting the information.

Of course, another part of the underlying story is basically the body politic there in the UK. There is a large growing Muslim, mostly immigrant population that the especially the Labour Party, who's the one in power that made this decision, they need that vote. And that is something that is an issue in this that we can't ignore, isn't it? No, we cannot ignore it. It is very much A surrender to populism, which usually the left accuses the right of being in favor of, because.

London, Birmingham and a few other major cities have Muslim mayors.

Now, we're not talking about Muslims. like Christians and Jews. We're talking about Muslims that practice Sharia law. and who ban women from this. And all sorts of other, as if they're somewhere in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.

Look, I am a. A proud Jew. And I've always had Problems with Jews who like to assimilate completely. I'm not saying. not completely, but completely into the host countries.

But we've always adapted to the country. And so much so that Probably the best German at least a hundred years ago. uh literary uh stars would use. And in America. You can laugh at it, but Hollywood and all sorts of things like that.

If I'm not mistaken, most of the famous Christmas songs are all written by Jews.

So we fit in very well. We integrate. Not the Arabs. Not the Muslims. And when you're facing a a population that, at least in the past couple of years, is illegally moving into your country.

It's not integrating into your society. and is starting riots all over the place in your country. for all sorts of reasons and I've Seeing your Anybody can go on Google and find them. Muslims walking into Texas restaurants and saying, please don't serve ham.

Now, I'm Jewish, I keep kosher, so I don't eat ham, but I don't go into a restaurant and say You know, make yourself kosher so I can eat. You want to eat ham, you want to eat pork, you want to eat whatever it is like that. That's your business. It's a free society. I don't think most of them believe in a free society.

And that's where things break down. not only socially, The next step, of course, is politically. And then you're in problem. You posted on X recently and you can be followed there at YMADAD, Y M E D A D and you made an interesting point. You said the Israeli settlement debate is built on a massive double standard.

If Palestinians have a right to live among Jews, why is Jewish life among Palestinians treated as an obstacle to peace? I did do that. That's from an article that someone else wrote. But Uh you know how old I am basically, so you know that I've probably said that ten times over the past thirty years. Uh look.

Historic Palestine. And I'm also not only talking to you, of course, I'm talking to our listeners because we're here to educate them, right? That's what you always tell me. Historic Palestine, if you're going to get serious, Included Jordan, at least part of it, certainly before it was created in 1920. It's one of these new states, of course.

And so you have Jordan, the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan. in which no Jews can live or own property in. Right? The Arabs now want what we call Jude and Samaria to be their state. Which will be Arab Muslim.

And I'm not quite sure how many Jews will be allowed to live there at least safely.

Okay. And then you have Israel, which has 20% Arabs. I ask you if you take a pie. Right, and divide it by three unequally because the original pre-67 Israel was much smaller than it is. Uh today with post sixty seven You're basically cheating.

You're getting two ethno-Muslim Arab states. plus one state that has 20% Arabs. I I don't know about you, but I wouldn't do a deal with someone who who suggested to me to divvy up a fortune that way. And that's what this two-state solution, or that's what Any solution is That calls for a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria. That will be the reality.

I'm not even talking about, as we've discussed many times on the program, the security aspects, the topography, giving up the heartland of historic Jewish homeland, all sorts of reasons, right? But even the basis of like Two 10-year-old kids. That's not fair. I mean, if it's not fair, it doesn't make sense. If it doesn't make sense, It won't work.

Wikimed helping us to understand, and as he said, educating us on the situation there with the area the world calls the West Bank. Rick, we got to take a break right now, but when we come back. I'd like to ask Winky about Mike Huckabee, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, former governor. Of Arkansas.

He has raised a little bit of controversy in the last couple of days.

So let's talk to Winky about that after the break, right here on Prophecy Today, weekend. Evangel what? This is Ken Ham on a mission to call the church back to the authority of God's Word. Biblical illiteracy is growing across the West.

Now many professing Christians simply don't know what the Bible teaches or even understand basic Christian doctrine. One study found that a quarter of Americans claim to be evangelicals, but the same study found that only half of them strongly agree with core evangelical beliefs. People are claiming the label evangelical without believing the Bible's core teachings. Why? Because we have generations of Christians who don't know their Bibles.

This is a big problem. And the only way to fight biblical illiteracy is for you to get into your Bible and get your kids into it too. Want to be equipped to think biblically and to engage your children in God's Word? Visit answersradio.com. That's answersradio.com.

Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. Along with our brother Rick, we're examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. September twenty fifth, twenty sixth, and twenty seventh. I'll be in Booth Bay, Maine at Booth Bay Monday.

Baptist Church with Pastor Glenn Carter. We'd love for you to come out and join us.

Well, we're continuing our questioning of Israel Madad, and I've been very curious about Governor Mike Huckabee or US Ambassador to Israel. Mike Huckabee. One last story that I wanted you to comment about as it relates to Judea and Samaria. Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel.

He visited a town, Palestinian village, there in Judea and Samaria. The story coming out, he was critical of that area. I just wanted to know if you had any thoughts on that situation. I know David Freeman, the previous ambassador, commented on what Mike Huckabee said. If you could, just tell us what you know about that story and your thoughts on that.

Okay. The the short version is that We have actually across the valley from us here on the hill on Shiloh. A large Arab village. which is about between seventy to eighty percent empty most of the year because they live in the United States. It's called Turmus Aya.

and Thomas Iyer Because it has a lot of American citizens. uh suggested to Mike Huckabee to come and visit them. Which he did. He made it clear that he Cannot protect non-Americans, but he has a certain commitment to American citizens living out here on both sides. But what happened was, and I'm not going to go into all the details.

But while he was on a balcony, Uh the Arab mayor pointed out a I guess you'd call it a buggy or terrain vehicle. Out here, we call it a Ranger, maybe that's the name of the company. That was seen sort of. Coming in not into the village per se, but but coming very close. and then drove away.

And he tweeted out, Mr. Huckabee. Or Governor Huckabee because he was the Governor of Arkansas, so he still carries that. Honorific title Said, oh, I was told that uh the local Arabs are terrorized by people just like that person who's coming here.

Now, it turns out that the person Who was In that buggy. with another person was part of his security detail because he was told that there are a lot of cars coming into Turmasaya, a lot of people coming in, and he wasn't sure what's going on. And he just wanted to make sure he drove fairly close to see what's going on. He saw there are all sorts of very important Vehicles indicating some sort of diplomat or maybe even the press, and he drove away. Nothing.

Just so happens to that person His brother was murdered by Arabs uh a month and a half ago. Uh and he has suffered himself in the in his fields. Attacks by Arabs.

So that was what happened was that Mr. Huckabee For the second time, If I'm not going to recall to you, but you can look it up. the Taiber incident, where so called a church was set on fire. The church was not set on fire. The fire did not go near the church.

The church has been empty for fifteen hundred years and it's made of stone, so it can't burn down. are in the village of Taiba. And he sort of, again, repeated the wrong version of events.

So I commented on it that he he has a problem with his staff. Anybody knows an ambassador doesn't really do everything by himself, he has a staff. not only a secretary, as an adviser. And he has someone who could uh security detail, could l read the newspapers for him. And he should be better informed, or at least.

not make incendiary statements. Before checking. He could have shaken his head and said, I will check on that, sir. but not tweet out something that was wrong. And I think hopefully he's learned his lesson because even David Friedman, as you mentioned, the previous ambassador, met this man.

Uh and boosted his story. about what he was doing that day. At Tour Messiah. Just to be fair, Ambassador Mike Huckleby is a strong supporter of Israel, and we do like him, but this was a mistake, or it seems like it was a mistake.

Well, let's move away from that. A couple more things I'm going to get you to talk about. On this program, yesterday, of course, we know was September 11th, the 25th anniversary of that attack in New York City. And we've been remembering that. And if you could relate your experiences, remembering 9-11, remembering how it changed the world, and especially the United States, as far as their view of Islamic terrorism kind of woke them up from a certain innocence that they had.

And then how does that relate to October 7th, which many people call Israel's 9-11 moment as well? Could you talk about that?

Well, you're correct in terms of a wake-up call because Americans for some reason. Can be s very, very nonchalant about everybody else in the world. And until 9-11. Uh despite Several terror attacks. earlier in New York City and other places.

The American public and of course the American politicians refused to understand. That Uh Islamic terror Does it need a reason To strike at you. Most Americans think, Well, if I invade your country, then you can attack me. You know, but simply to say Because America exists. Because it's the great Satan.

Because we want to overcome its democracy and Western values and liberal culture and whatever you want. That's very hard. To digest and to accept. But that's what the struggle is all about. It parallels to a certain extent Israel.

We didn't have Um At nine eleven cents. of not understanding what was going on. For some reason, whether it's the Prime Minister's office, whether it's military intelligence or what. We're lulled into thinking that Hamas has finally accepted. that it can't beat Israel.

And all we need to do is keep them happy, the Gaza population happy. And they weren't like that. They were building tunnels, they were building missiles, they were building, stockpiling bombs. And they were intent. And if any lesson is to continue to be learned both by Israel and especially the United States.

is what's going on not only in Iran right now, Uh but also Right, the past few days, we've seen what the Houthis are doing. They're trying to conquer one of the peninsulas there that oversees another waterway. And America has to realize that sometimes Things or countries or military capabilities are too dangerous to walk away from. You have to obliterate them. not degrade them not disarm them.

But completely take away their offensive military capabilities. It certainly does bring to mind the saying: those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. That is something that as we look at this situation, we need to remember going forward. And it's also good to remember the sacrifices that were forced upon us at both of those events, September 11th and October 7th, and realize the world that we live in. Maybe it's not the world that we want to live in, but we have to realize the world that we live in and the way it works.

Well, final thoughts. Let's talk about Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Now, you always kind of explain it from a Jewish perspective and maybe talk a little bit about the things that you do at this time of year to kind of celebrate and remember that.

Well, the first thing of course is to remind our listeners that Uh the Jews have a uh different calendar. In the sense that we go by the sun and the moon. And our New Year usually falls in the fall.

Next year, I can tell you, it's going to even fall. in October. Hi, that's kinda late, but that's the way it is. And by us, it's also A long synagogue service. Uh it's marked by Uh penitence.

By supplications taking accounting of our behavior the past year and seeking how to do better in the next year. We've been blowing this so far. Already for over three weeks in the morning, once in the morning, but on Rosh Hashanah. On both days. will be be blowing in a special fashion.

Over ninety notes, if you can call it that way, ninety blasts. of of of different ty types, which I won't get into now. And the fun thing, actually, is that on the first night of Rosh Hashanah. which this year falls on the Friday night, We all eat all types of food. And make blessings over them for the new year.

And my wife always dresses up. An apple, for example, look making it look like some sort of a head or a face as part of the element of the evening. And instead of salt on the bread, my last point. We use honey. Because we want it to be a sweet, good year Jimmy and I have both been involved in many Rosh Hashanah dinners, and they are special.

That is for sure.

Well, time for our regular Hebrew lesson. If somebody was to talk to a Hebrew speaking person, how would they wish them a happy new year? The easiest way is Sama Tova. Very good. Thank you so much, Winky.

Shanat, Tova to you. Thank you for all that you do, keeping our listeners educated and informed. Look forward to talking to you again in the new year. Thank you. Goodbye.

And goodbye to all our listeners. Jimmy, I have Ken Timmerman with us. He's an author and an analyst. You can find out more about him by going to his website at ken Timmerman. com.

Ken, thanks for being with us today. Thanks so much for having me, Rick.

Well, Ken, on this program, as we remember 9-11, we find you at a special place. Can you tell us where you are and what you're doing? You know, Rick, I've spent the past couple of days on this 25th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. at various ceremonies, commemorations, both in New York City and in Pennsylvania. Here at the Garden of Remembrance in Lower Bakefield, there were 18 residents of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, who died.

On 9-11. Most of them were up in the towers. There was one who was among the 40 brave soldiers, the first soldiers of the war on terror. Who stormed the cockpit of Flight 93 and prevented it from going to the Capitol and wreaking more destruction and killing more people? And they all came from here, from Yardley, from Upper Makefield, from Newtown, from various townships here in Bucks County, right around the corner from Washington's Crossing, which I haven't been to since I was a child, Rick.

Really extraordinary. My grandfather rebuilt the visitor center at Washington's Crossing in 1934 during the Depression. And I had the privilege and honor to meet the man who rebuilt it a couple of years ago and told me, yeah, the last time it was rebuilt was during the Depression. This is an extraordinary time for our country. It's a time not just of remembrance, but of going forward.

And I have been privileged to be here with attorneys representing families of the 9-11 victims and those family members themselves, people that I have worked with. Uh really over the past Nearly twenty years. On the 9-11 case against Iran, and I was contacted by those attorneys in 2004. Following an interview I had done with an Iranian defector. From Iranian intelligence.

who walked into The US Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan. In July of 2001, and warned the CIA. of a massive impending terrorist attack. on America. He said it was going to hit the World Trade Center.

It was going to hit the Pentagon. It was going to hit the White House and other monuments in Washington, D.C. And he was brushed off. By the CIA. They never passed on the warning.

And ever since then, The Central Intelligence Agency and most of the intelligence community here in the United States. Has steadfastly not just refused to recognize Iran's role. In the 9-11 attacks. But to categorize it as a conspiracy theory. It is absolutely disgraceful.

That rejection continues today, that denial continues today. I'm absolutely scandalized when I hear it, and I've seen it just this past week from people who worked with the CIA just recently. Not Individuals who were involved in the scandalous neglect, misfeasance of that agency. in the lead up to the 9-11 attacks, where they just ignored intelligence, refused to pass it on, but people who were younger, who were in their forties, who had nothing to do with it, and they are still covering up for what happened all that time ago.

Well, Ken, I know you have an article about that subject, and I want to talk about that a little bit more, the Iranian connection. But before I do that, let's just go back in time as we look at the 9-11 event. I remember where I was, and most of the people listening to this program right now, I'm sure, remember where they were as well. It was that seminal moment, and I remember rushing home to be with my wife, and as we watched the drama unfold on our televisions, it was a reality check as far as Islamic terrorism goes. And this is not something that was new to you at that time, based on your history in the Middle East.

But could you talk about the reality check that all of America faced on that fateful day?

Well, I think people woke up, and they woke up that all of those threats that we had heard about in the 1990s. There were many attacks in the 1990s, and we paid no attention to them. And finally, I think people woke up. There was the first attack on the World Trade Center in September 1993, when the same group, Al-Qaeda, put a bomb in the basement, killed six people, and actually injured another thousand people during that attack. We paid no attention to it.

The next day, everybody went back to work. It was as if nothing had happened. They hit us, our embassies in Africa in July of 1998. I had just published the first ever profile of a Saudi financier of terror named Osama bin Laden in Reader's Digest. It had come out three weeks before those attacks.

We could not even get a photograph of bin Laden at the time. We had to use an artist's sketch. Three weeks later, he was all over the headlines, had blown up two of our embassies and murdered scores of people. We paid no attention. In 2000, the same group, Al-Qaeda, again with assistance from Iran, as all these other attacks had assistance from Iran.

They attacked the USS Cold. In Aden, Yemen. We did nothing. This was during the presidency of Bill Clinton. We did not strike back.

Every attempt to strike back was vetoed either by Clinton himself or by Richard Clark, his counterterrorism advisor. We had one opportunity, it was in 1998, I believe. Inside Iran, in the desert in Iran, when bin Laden was at one of his falconry camps, his hunting camps, and it was again turned down. By the White House, by Richard Clark, because. at the hunting camp was the foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates, and they did not want him to be killed in a drone strike or an airstrike.

So we had all of those opportunities, Rick, to deal with al Qaeda before it became a real threat. And then came 9-11 when we knew we had to deal with it.

So, yes, it was a wake-up call. It changed everything in this country, and it changed every single one of us who was alive that day. If you could, can you talk about the response? We went into Afghanistan. We went into Iraq.

We spent trillions of dollars. Can you talk about the American response to 9-11?

Well, first of all, Rick, people forget. There was a cry for immediate military action from the American people. And Bush was saying no. He was trying to calm people down. He says, we will respond at the time and place of our choosing.

And people were. Really, they were not happy with that. They said, you know, we have to respond to this attack. Why haven't we launched military strikes? And the reason was, of course, we did not have at that point the capability on the ground inside Afghanistan to go after bin Laden and the al-Qaeda networks that were being sheltered in Afghanistan by the Taliban.

And it took time to insert CIA operatives, to insert military operatives, and time to put in triple nickel, a very special operations unit that linked up with anti-Taliban forces inside Afghanistan. And so it wasn't for at least a month until mid-October and later that the military response began. And people were very frustrated at that. Ken, we look at the situation now. Al-Qaeda has been weakened, but that jihadist ideology certainly has not disappeared.

We've seen the rise of ISIS and terrorist organizations throughout Africa and the The Middle East, how has the jihadist threat actually evolved since 9-11?

Well, the jihadist threat has gone from one place, Afghanistan, and one group, al-Qaeda, and it's really morphed. It is now a worldwide threat, less powerful, perhaps, less capable of striking a blow at the United States, we think. But again, The jihadist threat also has a state sponsor, and that state sponsor is called the Islamic Republic of Iran. People forget that. The Iranians are behind Hezbollah.

They are behind Hamas, their horrible genocidal attack on Israel on October 7th that was teleguided by Iran. In fact, we now know that the 2006 war in Israel with Hezbollah, I was there on the ground covering it for Newsmax, was also being led by Iranian military officers and their top terrorist operative, Imad Moudiyeh.

So that threat is now worldwide, and it has a state sponsor. And I am not 100% convinced that we are prepared here in this country should they decide to unleash their terror networks against our infrastructure and against our people. You talk about Iran and Iranian proxies, and we can link this to October 7th. And we look at the situation. That was Israel's 9-11, if you want to call it that.

And, you know, some people view that as a completely unrelated to 9-11, but other people see it as a part of the same broader Islamic struggle against Israel and the West. How do you connect October 7th to the history of jihadism and what we have witnessed since 9-11? You know, Rick, I I wrote a book in 2003 called Preachers of Hate: Islam and the War on America. In many ways, I think it's the best book that I wrote. And it was about the ideology that fueled al-Qaeda.

It was about the ideology that led to the 9-11 attacks. And guess what? It wasn't just that they hated America. It was that these jihadists saw us, Americans, as the Jews of the world. Not just because we supported Israel, but because we would not abandon our Judeo-Christian heritage and become Muslims.

People don't understand this. Jihad means. striving for Allah. until everyone in the world becomes a Muslim. And that is something that obviously we can't accept.

But I'm not sure that many Americans are aware of it. I'm not sure they're willing to accept that fact. They should read that book, Preachers of Hate. You can find it at my website, kentimmerman.com. Ken, you have an article out and we could link to it on our website.

And I'm sure they can go to your website as well to read that article as well. It's at Americangreatness.com. Amgreatness.com actually is the name. And you talk about Iran's complicity.

Now, you've already mentioned that a little bit, but could you go ahead and lay out the case for Iran's complicity in the 9-11 attacks?

Well, first of all, I was again, I was retained by these attorneys representing 9-11 families to investigate Iran's involvement. I first had learned. That Iran had something to do with this on at noon. On September 11th, 2001, I received a phone call from the son of General Mohsen Razai. Today, he is the chief.

Of security in Iran. He's the number two of the regime at that time. He was the former commander of the Revolutionary Guards. He called his son in Los Angeles and said, We're going to be attacked by America. You be careful in the United States.

Can you get visas for your mother and your sister and your brother to the United States so they will be safe? He was fully expecting. On September 11th, that the United States would strike Iran because the US knew of Iran's involvement in the 9-11 conspiracy.

So I write about that in this article. We had numerous defectors from Iranian intelligence that I located. Went to meet with them in Europe and in the Middle East and other places. We debriefed them. We took sworn testimony from them, which we used in this court case that ultimately won $7 billion in damages against the Iranian regime already in 2012.

And other defectors, Rick, told us how the Iranians were actively engaged in the plot itself, how they assisted the hijackers. They flew in eight to ten of the Muslim hijackers into Iran, and they were accompanied by the top Iranian terrorist, Imad Mughniyeh. He was later assassinated by the United States and Israel in Damascus in 2008. Finally, a third defector told us how the Iranians were sheltering al-Qaeda after the 9-11 attacks, how they brought them into Iran, brought their families into Iran, gave them a safe haven, told the United States they were nowhere to be found.

So we have a whole pattern of evidence. Showing Iran's involvement in the 9-11 attacks, designing the attack, assisting the hijackers, and then sheltering the guilty parties. And the United States has never once responded to that.

Now, for years, we were told: well, if we identified The Iranians, and if we identified this Hezbollah operative, Imad Bouniyeh, who was actually an Iranian intelligence operative, publicly, we would have to attack Iran.

Well I think that prohibition has somehow been lifted now.

So, I really don't understand why the US intelligence community, and in particular the CIA, continues to this day. To resist identifying Iran as the state sponsor behind the 9-11 attacks.

Well, again, Ken, you can go to our website and get that article that you wrote about this situation. You can go to your website as well, kentimmerman.com, to find out about this article as we look at this Iranian connection, especially now as the situation in the Middle East. But Ken, final question for you. Here's a question I think many Americans. should be asking after nine eleven, after ISIS, after october seventh, and now with the continuing conflict involving Iran and Israel, are we actually safer, or have we simply entered into a different phase of the same war?

We are in a different phase of the same war, but we are certainly safer. For having degraded very significantly Iran's military capabilities. We have taken out their air defense. We controlled the skies. We've taken out a very large number of their missiles.

We've taken out their air force. We've taken out their major surface combatants in their navy. Obviously, they can still pop mines here and there from a missile or some other way, but we have that under control and we have eyes on them. There is one nuclear weapon site that remains unattacked. It's called Kuikalanga or Pickaxe Mountain.

President Trump alluded to that this week at the Republican convention in Dallas. I expect that at some point we will be attacking that site as well. We need to make sure that this Iranian regime collapses from within. This week we were hearing reports from Khaliba, the Speaker of the Parliament, in internal deliberations telling his colleagues inside the regime that they would not survive the U.S. blockade, the U.S.

blockade of Iran's oil exports, and that they had better come to terms with America. They're not going to do that. I can guarantee you they are not going to make a deal with the United States. They're going to continue the war. And God willing, it will end with the collapse of the regime and the rising of the people of Iran to reclaim their freedom and their place in the world.

Ken Timmerman reporting to us from the Garden of Reflection in Pennsylvania as we remember this 9-11 time and what it means in history. Ken, as always, we appreciate your insight. We appreciate you taking the time to be with us. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Thanks so much, Rick.

God bless. Uh Uh Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., along with my brother Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. This is the new year for the Jewish people. 5787 is the new year for the Jewish people.

6,000 years since creation, Rick.

Well, I'll be in Booth Bay. Main at Booth Day Baptist Church. Pastor Glenn Carter, September 25th, 26th, and 27th. We'd love to have you come out. All of our listeners up there in New England, we would love for you to come to the service.

That would be great, Jimmy. And, you know, we continue to minister as Prophecy Today, and I appreciate you being out there teaching. You know, Jimmy, we have a website, prophecytoday.com. We also have a ministry taking people to Israel, and that's something that we're going to start doing again as we look at being able to go to Israel. Even with all the things going on in the Middle East right now, we are going to go back to Israel.

People are going back right now, and we are going to as well follow us on our website, prophecytoday.com. And on this program, we'll let you know when we're going back, and we'd love to have you go with us.

Well, on our legacy series this week, we're going to study the book of Revelation a little bit more. Last week, in our study of the worldwide flood, the judgment on the earth 4,500 years ago, we saw that the Lord defeated Satan in his.

However, Satan came up with a new strategy, and This new plan of the Evil One is to kill all the Jews on the earth with a terrible Holocaust not the Holocaust of World War Two, but a worse Holocaust yet to come. The Apostle John in the book of Revelation reveals Satan's plan to kill every Jew. You see, if that happens, then God will not be able to fulfill his promise to the Jewish people. Satan will be the winner.

However, that will not happen. Satan will lose in the end, and And this is our study for this week. Please take your Bible, go to the book of Revelation, chapter 12. and Doctor Jimmy D. Young and the Legacy Series.

Go to the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation, the rapture of the church. Jesus shouts, archangels shouts, trumpet God sounds, and we're out of here to be with Him. The rapture of the next activity to take place. And then, after that, it's going to be a seven-year period of time.

Seven years of terrible Holocaust. Hello? Holocaust on the face of the earth. Half of the earth's population, 3.5 billion people, are going to be killed, plus many, many more will come to death. The Bible talks about in the book of Zechariah, chapter 13, and verse 8.

Two out of every three Jews will be killed. Listen, the worst Holocaust yet to take place on the earth happened 65 years ago in World War II, when Adolf Hitler killed 6 million people, 6 Jewish million people. Because he was trying to set up a kingdom, false doctrine leading to that. By the way, that was one-third of the Earth's Jewish population at that time. In World War II, there were 18 million Jews.

He killed 6 million of them. That left 12 million. We have today approximately 12.5 million Jews upon the earth. The next Holocaust will kill two out of every three. That's 8 million plus Jews yet to be killed.

And it's all a result and what happens from that flood activity. the retribution from the flood. Evil angels. playing a key role to kill Jewish people. Go over here to Revelation chapter 12 with me first.

Chapter 12, and let me set the stage for chapter 9. Chapter 12. Chapter 12 is at the midway point of the tribulation. The first three and a half years have been completed. The church, a false church in Rome, was established, chapter 17.

There were two witnesses that would preach for three and a half years, 1260 days. The text says that's chapter 11 of the book of Revelation. Then we come to chapter 12 of the book of Revelation, starting in verse 7. Chapter 12 and verse 7. And there was war in heaven.

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels. They prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And that great dragon, by the way, apocalyptic literature, who's the dragon? We're going to get the definition right now in verse 9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, that old serpent that appeared to Adam and Eve in Genesis chapter 3.

He deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Look at verse 12. Therefore, rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe unto the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea.

For the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth he hath but a short time. Look at verse 13. What's the purpose of these evil angels when they come to earth? And when the dragon saw that he was cast onto the earth, he persecuted the woman, which brought forth the man-child. That's apocalyptic literature defined earlier in chapter 12.

As the Jewish people, the one who would bring that Messiah. Genesis chapter 3, verse 15. Skip to verse 17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keepeth the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. And so when Satan and his evil angels are thrown out of heaven down to the earth, They're going to attack the Jewish people.

They're going to try to wipe out the Jewish people. That's only the first stage. Go to chapter 9. By the way, the book of Revelation. Listen to me, folks.

The book of Revelation, you do not study it numerically. You must study it chronologically if you're going to understand it. Not numerically, chapter 1 to 22, chronologically. I just talk from chapter 12. That's the midway point of the tribulation.

And then in the last three and a half years, the seven trumpet judgments and the seven vile judgments unfold. We're now coming to the fifth of the trumpet judgments, chapter nine and verse one. And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven. That's not a star like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. That's a star like Michael Jordan as a basketball star.

And I saw a star fall from heaven. Here's how I know what it's talking about: unto the earth, and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit to Satan. The star was given the key to the bottomless pit, and Verse 2, and he opened the bottomless pit. And there arose the smoke out of the pit as the smoke of the great furnace. And the sun and the air were darkened by the reason of the smoke of the pit.

This pit, the abyss, the Tetaurus, the bottomless pit, in the heavenly someplace. I believe a black hole. You can argue about that all day if you want to. But it has evidence that it was in the heavens. How do I know?

Because when the door was opened, the smoke in it covered the sun. And it said it covered the air. That word air used here in chapter 9 is the same word used in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 when it says, And we shall be caught up to meet him in the air.

Someplace in the air, this Tetaurus, where these evil angels have been held in prison, and they're released. You know what they are? Unidentified flying objects, UFOs. Alien creatures. Yeah, I believe in UFOs.

I believe in alien creatures. He called him locusts. It's not like any locust I've ever seen. Hop art grasshoppers, you know? Look here, verse 7.

Let's see what these locust grasshoppers look like. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle. And on their heads was, as it were, crowns of gold, and their faces were the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of a woman, and their teeth were the teeth of lions. And they had a breastplate, as it were, breastplates of iron.

Look at verse 10. And they had tails like unto scorpions. You ever seen a grasshopper like that? Looks like a horse going to battle, a face of a man, hair of a woman, teeth of a lion, breastplate of a soldier going to war, and a scorpion's tail? I've never seen a grasshopper like that.

That's an unidentified flying object. That's an alien creature. Coming in from outer space. In the abyss Where they are coming to attack and kill one-third of the Earth's population. I'll get to it in just a moment.

Yeah, I do believe in identified flying objects. and aliens. what they are. are evil. Angels.

taking on the form of whatever they want to. Maybe even looking like a Saucer. Flying. Saucer. It's evil.

Angels. They're evil. Angels. No other planet. No other place in all of creation.

except the earth which was to be inhabited. Isaiah 48. And so it is these evil angels attack. the earth. Look here, go to the sixth trumpet judgment.

show you how many it's going to be. The number, verse sixteen of chapter nine, The number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand that's two hundred million. Evil angels. Somebody used to say, Hey, wait a minute, man. This two hundred million.

Ah, that has to be the militia in red China. No, it doesn't. Because that's the sixth form. File Judgment, chapter 16. This is the sixth trumpet judgment.

You got a lot of judgments to go. And besides, what did these locusts look like? Horsemen. ready to battle. 200 million of them are released.

and they kill. One-third, notice here verse eighteen. By these three was the third part of the men killed. That's 1.5 billion. The fourth sealed judgment, one fourth of the earth is killed.

At six billion people, that would be 1.5 billion, leaving three quarters. You take another third away, that leaves half. That's 1.5 billion killed in the Fourth seal judgment and the sixth trumpet judgment, another 1.5 billion. Half the earth is destroyed. and most of 'em Jews.

Why? Satan realizes I will! be equal with God. I will be worshipped in Jerusalem. We talked about the war in the heavens.

That takes place. The aggressiveness of this angelic activity takes place But listen to me. Evil angels. are at work right now. Daniel chapter 11, verses 13 and 20.

In verse 13, it talks about the evil angel The evil angel of Persia. You know who that was? Hayman! In the book. of Esther.

The evil angel. This is talking about evil angels taking control of human bodies. Dispatched by Satan. What did Haman want to do? Kill all the Jews!

He had the king of Hazarias write the law of the means and the Persians. Give me the right, I'll kill every Jew. Oh, then in verse 20, it talks about the evil angel taking control of Greece.

Well, who is that? Antiochus Epiphanes of Daniel chapter 11. Antiochus Epiphanes comes along, desecrates the temple, the first abomination of desolation, and then wants to kill off the Jews. Evil angels. Taking control.

How do I know that happens?

Well, I read Ephesians chapter 6, verse 12. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but we wrestle against principalities, powers of darkness, evil in the heavenlies, world rulers. Who's the king of this world now? Satan, dispatching evil angels to take control of human world leaders. I stood in front of Yasser Arafat.

I am not a psychic. I'm not a mind reader. But I looked at Yasser Arafat right in his eyes. I knew he was evil. Completely.

Controlled, demonically controlled, and killing. That's an evil man. Satanically control. Adolf Hitler satanically control. Do some study about Adolf Hitler.

Man, he was into the occult, to witchcraft. He never made a decision without having a seance with a witch. He was demonically controlled and gave the order to kill six million Jews. It's happening. It's not only happening in Political activities.

It's happening in the pulpit. 2 Corinthians. CHAPTER eleven What? Know ye not? That the devil?

Is an angel? of light, read the rest of it. and his ministers of righteousness. Better check him out. Check me out.

Make sure I'm conforming to that book. I don't care who it is. Hold the same standard high. Because the pulpit will be controlled. by evil angels.

In the last days. To do what? Wipe out the Jews. A holocaust. to cause plans of God not to be fulfilled.

So Satan. takes control. That was the reason for the flood. That's what happened before. Wha what did Jesus say?

As it was. In the days of Noah.

So it shall be in the days of the coming. of the Son of Man. We're here. Stage is set. All the actors in place.

Curtain's about to go up. on his second coming. Yeah. Indeed. the stage is set for the final drama to be played out.

everything that must be set in place for this final act to begin is in place. I pray that this study has alerted you to the plans of Satan. This study is a reminder of the events of the last days after the rapture of the church. Please use this information to warn others of what is coming.

Next week on the broadcast, we begin a brand new study on the city of Babylon, the literal city of Babylon, a city that will play a key role in the last days. Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and the Legacy Series. We got to take a break. We'll be right back, right here on Prophecy Today weekend.

I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. In the United States, September 11th, 2001 is forever etched into the minds of those old enough to remember the day. Al-Qaeda radicals drove hijacked passenger planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, killing nearly 3,000 people. Steve Prince of Warriors Set Free says: It's important that we remember how real evil is and never forget the sacrifice of the people that risked their lives to save those who were caught in the middle at Ground Zero and at the Pentagon. FBI officials say 9-11 is still inspiring terrorists inside the U.S.

today. Our nation is so protected that we forget that terrorism is real and there's evidence that they are within our borders. Pray for Warriors Set Free as it helps veterans and first responders process trauma and find healing that only Christ can offer. And Israeli teenagers grew in their relationships with Christ through Beit Halel Congregation's ministry this summer, students in the Summer for God Discipleship Program came to church daily to study the Word, pray, serve, and visit various New Testament sites across Israel. Pastor Israel Pachtar said.

It was wonderful discipleship time. And I will pray for them that they will join youth meeting, continue to serve when they go to schools and studies, continue to serve, continue to minister.

So pray for the young generation of Israelis because it's a time to see young ones raising up. Many students made friends and became more involved at church. They're asking for prayer to remain on fire for the Lord. Find your place in the story at missionnews.org. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of one-way ministries.

Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., and along with my brother Rick, we have been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. It's a Jewish holiday. It's Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the new year for the Jewish people. Make sure you greet your Jewish friends with Shanatova.

Have a good year. And on the program today, we talked to Ken Timmerman, David Dolan. And Winky Madad, all on this weekend of remembering the 25 years of 9-11 and how that has changed the world. And in the process of this, as I mentioned earlier in the program, I said that I would be going to Booth Bay, Maine. And again, this is: I've been, this is about my fourth or fifth time to Maine, first time to Booth Bay.

And the reason I'm going there is because Pastor Glenn Carter. is having the Foundations Bible Conference. And that is September 25th, 26th, and 27th. On the 25th, 6 o'clock at night. On the 26th, 6:30, and then Sunday morning, two services.

So, we invite any of our listeners in New England or wherever you listen to us to come out. But I thought it would be good to have my good friend, Pastor Glenn Carter, on the program. Pastor, welcome to the program. Thank you for inviting me. Yes, and we're longtime friends.

What I like about what you do, Pastor, is you teach Bible prophecy. You have me there to teach Bible prophecy. You also are working through the book of Revelation now. And why is it important that churches teach Bible prophecy?

Well, one of the reasons that we specifically named This specific, the Foundations Bible Conference were Three passages of scripture jumped out at me, and it's summed up in this little phrase: establishing, building, and reinforcing the foundations of our biblical faith. Uh too often Folks transfer and just go to whatever church that they, not necessarily the one in the community, but the one that they think is going to be best to serve them. And they move so often that they don't actually establish a biblical faith. They don't get a chance to build their faith. And very often, nothing is being reinforced in their faith.

And so, because of this, I really believe that Bible prophecy is one of those things that we need to continue to establish, build, and reinforce in each and everybody's lives, but also the life of a church. And Rick, and I agree wholeheartedly with you. And we learned that from our father, who taught us the foundation for understanding Bible prophecy. And with 30% of God's word, words about prophetic events, it's very important to understand why we should have a proper understanding of Bible prophecy.

Well, you've asked me to come. And speak at the church at this conference on a topic concerning how should biblical Christians think about Israel as a people. and country and land. Why was that important to you?

Well, it's important to me because I get asked a lot of questions, but it's important to us as a congregation because I've had a lot of individuals in our congregation begin to ask me with all the situations and all the things that are going on in the Middle East with Israel and specifically everything that's taking place on college campuses and across. The cities in America. How are we to be thinking about Israel as not only as a people, but as a place, a land, and also as a nation, as maybe an ethnic group, many, you know, with all the things about boycotting and everything like that? How are we to view what's going on in all of this?

So that's why I figured you'd be great to be able to come in and be able to share with us. You know, that's very important. And Christians view Israel through different theological traditions, generally dividing their focus into God's ongoing promises to the Jewish people, the biblical significance of the physical land, and how to evaluate the modern political nation. And your folks are always prepared. And that's because you do have a proper hermeneutic understanding.

You're a pre-trib, pre-mill dispensationalist, which means that you believe that the rapture of the church is going to happen before the tribulation period, before the millennium. Kingdom, and you have an understanding of Israel having and fulfilling a role still to play in the future after the tribulation period. Often, I like to ask our pastors as you're thinking about this, and if you're standing before your congregation and you're giving them a charge. This is the new year for the Jewish people. We don't celebrate those fall festivals or the spring festivals, but I know that you've done a Seder meal before.

What charge would you give your folks as you're you know, encouraging them about the times in which we are living.

Well, I think more than anything, we need to stand firm. We need to be courageous. We need to be on our hands and knees in prayer. And we need to be trusting God and stepping out in faith. No matter what, we need to, we don't just learn and soak up like a sponge.

We are to live it out. We're to be wrung out so that folks can see us as examples of what it looks like to be vibrant, passionate, living disciples of Jesus Christ. It's not going to be the words that they hear us say. They're not going to be the letters that we write. It's going to be the life that we live that they're going to see and they're going to recognize Jesus through.

Wow. That is a great charge, you know. And other pastors that we've had on this program, because of their understanding of God's word from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22, 21, give that exact same charge. And you didn't even know that. But to stand firm, and you know, in these times in which we're living, that is so very important.

And we do have a hope. That's within us. And that is what we are looking forward to: the return, the rapture of the church to take us home, to be with him. Pastor, would you say that we're very close to the rapture of the church? If he doesn't come before you're done asking me the questions, we're going to be right there.

That's right. Amen. Pastor Glenn Carter, Booth Bay Baptist Church in Booth Bay, Maine. September 25th, 26th, and 27th. And I want you to come and meet my good friend, Pastor Glenn Carter, and I want to meet you also.

Pastor Glenn Carter, thank you so much, and keep on. Keeping on, brother. Thank you very much. You have a great night. I'm always reminded of Paul's words to Titus in chapter 2, verse 11 to 15.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself For us that He might redeem us from every lawless deed, and And purifieth for himself his own special people, zealous for good work. Speak these things, exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. Folks, with everything that we have seen today on the program, we can't help but say, as Pastor Glenn Carter said, the rapture of the church could happen before this program's over.

So let's keep looking up. Until Thank you so much for joining us today. This is Jay Johnson inviting you to join us again next week for more of Prophecy Today.
