Welcome to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., and along with my brother Rick, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. This is a special program today. Five years ago today, our father, Dr. Jimmy DeYoung, passed away.
We're going to have our normal broadcast partners on the program, Ken Timmerman and David Dolan. But after that, Rick, we're going to have the actual program that Dad did on the future temples in Jerusalem. You know, Jimmy, we remember him as our father, but he was also his commitment to teaching Bible prophecy is what we want to remember on this program to hear this story that you could still get on our website, or even if you go online, you could find it there as well. It's going to be exciting to hear to remember his commitment to sharing Bible prophecy. Rick, you're absolutely right.
And we hope that everyone will at least allow us today to pay tribute to our father, Dr. Jimmy DeYoung, who meant so much to us, obviously, as a dad, but as a prophecy teacher, teaching us the foundation of Bible prophecy, how to study not only us, but many pastors and many lay people that are involved in studying and furthering their education on Bible prophecy.
Well, we've got a lot to cover today, Rick. And let's get started with our first, Ken Timmerman.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Ken Timmerman with us. He's our expert in geopolitical affairs. He's an author and an analyst. Ken, thanks for being with us today.
Rick, thanks for having me on. It's always a pleasure.
Well Ken, let's start uh with the situation in the Middle East. Their negotiations continue between Iran and the United States, but the Strait of Hormuz is a sticking point. Could you give us an update?
Well, it's really unclear at this point whether we are actually talking to the Iranians or whether we are just talking to Qatar or Pakistan and they're talking to the Iranians. The Iranians have said they will no longer respect the memorandum of understanding that was signed in mid-June and that they have no ongoing negotiations with the United States because of our violations of the agreement. What this really means, Rick, is we're in a no-man's land right here. The President has said he's going to adopt now a low-key strategy toward Iran. And what that really means is he's not going to talk about launching the biggest attack on Iran since World War II or the biggest military operation since World War II.
He's going to tone down the rhetoric a little bit. He's going to allow Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett to step up to the plate, which he has been doing, by the way, since the beginning, but really to come to the forefront. Besant has been doing an amazing job of turning up the economic pressure on the Iranian regime. Just this week, for example, the Iranians are running this kind of parallel Strait of Hormuz organization, the Persian Gulf Tariff and Trade Pirates Troop. And they've got a website and they put out a notice to all of the shipping companies trying to go through the strait and pay them tolls in Bitcoin.
They said, well, actually, we have to change our website. Please use the Firefox browser and, oh, by the way, call us before making payments.
Well, it turns out, Rick, that all those payments that they were getting from shippers, $2 million or $5 million per ship transiting through that northern route, well, their Bitcoin wallets have all been emptied. And nobody knows where the money has gone, least of all the Iranians.
So I happen to think that Scott Besson has been really active recently. He is bleeding them to death on the economic sphere. It could well be that in three years the Iranians will still claim to control this trade of Hormuz. but the only oil not flowing through the strait will be their own.
Well Ken, it sounds like you're saying that this low-key strategy that puts economic pressure on the regime that could bring about results. Is that how you see it? That is how I see it. And economically, they are in a catastrophe. One of the former economic advisors to a former president, he's now the head of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, said that it is costing them $18 billion a year extra to bring cargo containers from China, bringing them overland instead of by ship, because the United States is enforcing this blockade on Iran.
We don't see it in the United States. We don't understand that the blockade, the naval blockade of Iran, is very, very real. It's kind of like the blockade we had on Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We are not allowing ships into Iranian ports, and we are not allowing ships out of Iranian ports with Iranian oil. Nevertheless, The Navy, the U.S.
Navy, is escorting other ships, bringing Saudi oil, Emirati oil, gas, natural gas from Qatar. And we're getting about 10 million barrels a day through the strait under U.S. Navy escort. That's about half of the pre-war total. But the Saudis and the Emiratis and others had built pipelines and used existing pipelines to bring an extra 6 million barrels a day to the Red Sea, to Iraq, to Turkey, Syria, Egypt, and even to Israel.
So we're getting basically three-quarters of the oil that we were getting before the conflict, and the Iranians just don't know what to do. The missing oil, by the way, is mainly Iranian. Ken, let's move over to Europe now, and the EU appears to be reaching a crossroads over further enlargement. What do you see happening inside the European Union right now? The EU is at a crossroads, and it is an existential issue at this crosswords.
They want to enlarge, bring in new members. They're talking about Montenegro, which is a tiny little country. I mean, it's so small it became the butt of jokes during 1917, during World War I. Entering the war, even tiny Montenegro would give medals to U.S.
soldiers. But Montenegro is going to come in. Albania is probably going to come in, and possibly Iceland as well. But that's not what's really going on. Behind the surface, Behind this enlargement of the EU is really a debate inside the European Parliament over the nature of the European Union and the nature of the European Commission.
The European Commission is an unelected bureaucracy. It's run by Ursula van der Leyden, who's a former German politician and also former head of the Parliament. But she wants to rule basically as a dictator. She wants to prevent countries from having a veto over foreign policy.
So they won't make foreign policy unanimously. They'll make it with a majority rule, and she will ram through the majority exactly as she wants. And by the way, what she really wants to do is ram through measures that condemn Israel. Surprise, surprise. Until recently, it's been the Hungarian President Viktor Orbán who has vetoed all of those European Commission measures against Israel.
He's now out of power. She says we don't need to make policy by unanimous vote any longer. We can make it by a simple majority.
So they can condemn Israel. They can support Gaza and support Muslim immigration into Europe. It really is an existential issue, Rick. And I think I'm currently sitting in Sweden, even Sweden, which is a pro-EU country. People are really Upset with many of the regulations that touch their daily lives issued by these unelected bureaucrats.
Ken, you mentioned Muslim immigration there, and that is something that is taking place on a large scale in some countries, and it is really changing the culture of those countries, isn't it? Absolutely, Rick. There's a great story that I heard this week about a Frenchman named Fabrice Le Guerry, who was the executive director of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency between 2015 and 2022. And he was trying to set up this border agency to make sure that Europe had one secure border and they could control migration.
So he talked to a Swedish European commissioner, right?
Somebody on this European Commission, and she said, oh, don't worry, you don't need guns and uniforms because migrants, this is a quote: migrants come in search of love. Europe is an aging continent, so whether you like it or not, your job is to welcome migrants.
Well, he ultimately quit his job, and now he is a right-wing member of the European Parliament from France. But that really says it all. There has been this attitude by many, many people in the European Commission that migration is good. They want Muslim migration. They do not believe in their countries.
They do not believe in their cultures. They do not believe in Europe and the European past and the greatness of Europe. They want to make Europe something else, and that something else will be conditioned. By the Muslim migrants who come.
Well, Ken, this story is not unique to Europe. We face many of these same issues right here in the United States, don't we?
Well, we're being infiltrated from the inside, Rick. We've been penetrated, if you wish. We have Muslim members of the U.S. Congress, some of them very, very well known, pro-Palestinian, all of them. And just recently, we have an Egyptian Muslim nominee for the United States Senate from Michigan, Abdul Al-Sayed.
He is a very smart person. He tries to sound like any American. He has no Middle Eastern accent, if you wish, but his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood are very real and very, very serious. We've learned recently that his father-in-law, a man named Jukaku Tayyeb, who is his biggest financial donor, he provided half of the money to the super PAC that had financed al-Syed's Senate primary campaign. This guy, Tayyeb, is also a founding board member of the Islamic Society of North America.
Now, why is that important? All of these Groups are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, are part of the Muslim Brotherhood. And why is that important, Rick? Because the Muslim Brotherhood is Hamas.
So you have this guy running for the United States Senate in Michigan, whose father-in-law is a big supporter of Hamas, is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, if you wish. And Abdul Al-Syed has never denied it and he's never tried to set it aside. He embraces it and he says, inshallah, we're going to win in November.
So I think this is a very serious thing. But a little point of hope here. There are also many Christian Arabs from Iraq and other countries in Michigan. I've met many of them. There are 187,000 Chaldean Christians who live in the suburbs of Detroit.
They have a place called Chaldean Town, another town called Little Telkepe. Telkepe is a suburb of Mosul in Iraq.
Some of these people I met in Mosul, and then I saw them six months later, a year later, in Detroit.
So there are Christian Arabs, Chaldean Arabs voting in Michigan. They are not going to vote for somebody who represents the Muslim Brotherhood. Mm-hmm. Ken Timmerman for Prophecy Today. Ken, thanks so much for being with us today.
Thanks so much, Rick. God bless. Great job as always, Ken. And Ken, I have to say that you are one of dad's favorites. And again, this program is about celebrating the life of Dr.
Jimmy D. Young and how he taught us all to understand Bible prophecy and to be able to teach it and to educate the body of Christ. We got to take a break when we come back, David Dolan, right here on Prophecy Today weekend. I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. The 72-hour golden window for rescue efforts closes today after Colombia's 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck on Monday.
Ministries like AMG International, with an established network in Colombia, have already set immediate relief. AMG CEO Brian Dennett says communication with her local team has been a struggle. That's the double blow of a disaster like this, which has damaged Colombia's power and telephone grids. If you're looking for a way to help, AMG is leveraging its network of churches and schools in Colombia to meet urgent needs. As always, we will take the opportunity.
To share the hope that we have in Christ as we minister to people. Would you commit to standing with the people of Columbia in both prayer and support, not just now, but also in the months ahead? Find your place in the story at mission news.org. And there's good news for those who are praying for Nihad Hassan, a Syrian Kurdish pastor. Pierre Hosne of Horizons International says: Pastor Nihad is safely back in Lebanon.
Our team had a big celebration in the Kurdish church to welcome him back. Police arrested the pastor while he was visiting northern Syria in late July. Pastor Nihad's accusers used his old social media posts taken out of context to get him into trouble with authorities. Thankfully, he was able to get a good lawyer, and we went through all channels that we could, including the Evangelical High Council in Lebanon and Syria, contacting different people to get him free. Pray for his family in the aftermath.
His main concern when I was talking to him is just that his kids are traumatized. Every time he leaves the house now, his daughter says, Daddy, don't go to the police. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of one-way ministries. We're listeners supported by people just like you.
So by giving to Mission Network News, you enable us to keep the stories of God's kingdom coming. And together, the Great Commission has. happens. Look for links at missionnews.org. I'm with Kramern.
Welcome back to Prophecy Today Radio, the program that looks at current events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Well, this is the portion of our program. We call it our Middle East News Update. We look at news coming out of the Middle East in general, but Israel in particular. To do that, we have with us journalist Dave Dolan. Dave, thanks for being with us today.
Always a blessing to be with you, Rick.
Well, David, we'll start with an update from Israel, and I know we're going to hear about action in Gaza and Lebanon.
Well, yes, I'll start off with Lebanon first. We had more action there this week. In fact, on Wednesday, we had a major Israeli operation against Hezbollah positions near the city of Tyre, right on the coast, the biblical city. And that's the first time since the ceasefire came into effect two weeks ago that they have carried out airstrikes like that. Of course, a strong response from Hezbollah condemning it and the Lebanese government.
But it was announced that another round of Peace talks between the Lebanese government and Israeli officials will take place in September.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese President called on all IDEA forces to be withdrawn from South Lebanon immediately. That's not new, but the Israeli Defense Minister Katz was up there on Thursday, and he said no. Until Hezbollah is disarmed, we're going to stay put.
Well, they have seen the Lebanese Army go into a pilot test area north. of where they are, and they were supposed to immediately begin Disarming Hezbollah. That was nearly two weeks ago, and they have seen no evidence of any of that happening, Rick. He said that.
Well, the State Department then issued a unusual rebuke for the Defense Minister's statement, saying no, part of the agreement is the IDF has to get out. Again, Rick, the question is who moves first? And does the other side, Hezbollah, even move?
Well, that's the exact same situation to the south in Gaza, where last Sunday, we had the Prime Minister announced during the Cabinet meeting that the IDF will not be withdrawing from any part of the Gaza Strip that it controls now, which is about sixty percent, until Hamas is disarmed.
Well, why did he make that statement? Because a Hamas official said, we will give up our heavy arms, but we're going to keep all our Kalashnikov rifles. They've got estimated forty thousand to fifty thousand of those, Rick.
Well, obviously, they could still control the Gaza's trip just with that.
So he said we do support the President's plan overall, and we hope it can be implemented. But for now, we're staying put. And we had no reaction from the White House, Rick, to that statement, which was considered Unusual, but we did have reports in the media saying that the President, President Trump, understands that Beavy's in a very tight Electoral race, the elections at the end of October, and that politically it would be hazardous for him to withdraw. Right now, or start a withdrawal right now.
So they're letting it be, and they said anyway on the ground they're basically adhering to that. Then, Rick, we had more trouble in northern Samaria during the week. We had a group of young, sort of radical Orthodox boys, young men, take over a hilltop right next to a small Arab village, Khusra. It was actually the extended yard of one of the homes there that had been built illegally, and they said, No, we. We own this, we're going to set up a camp.
So they did that on Tuesday. The Army came in on Wednesday to take it down. It took them till Thursday to get it down. There was a lot of criticism over that. And the IDF condemned the action.
They sent forces immediately. They said, you can't just take over areas that you think you should have. And it was also strongly condemned by the head of the settlers committee there in Judea and Samaria, Rick, who said this is not the way we do things. This is not a legal thing. And as a result, on Friday, the defense minister announced that from now on, the Army will not be in charge of daily security, daily police details in Judea and Samaria, but the Israeli police will take over that role.
And the IDF will just be used for border security to prevent terror attacks, this sort of thing.
So a lot of tension up there, but they did get the young men out of the area eventually by Friday. And the Palestinians several were asked to leave their homes for several days during the clashes, but they've been returning. And then, of course, meanwhile, Rick, everyone looking to the east to the possibility of a new flare-up in the war between the U.S. and Iran and whether that would involve Israel that came on Friday when the CENTCOM announced they Stopped sixty-two ships going into the Gulf. They disabled three that were still trying to run the blockade, and they boarded two.
And that was something. And Rick, we had a Jerusalem Post report on Thursday that created a lot of stir in Israel. It said that the IDF and the Mossad have been shocked. At the speed at which Iran is recovering from the heaviest part of the war, at which 30,000 times targets were hit. by the Israelis and the Americans in that time, over two thousand six hundred positions, Rick.
But the report quoted senior military leaders, not by name, but several of them and Mossad agents saying, quote, we're seeing a stunningly speedy turnaround in the damage caused to Iran internally. But meanwhile, of course, there is hope that the economic blockade that's been strengthened by President Trump during the week, and of course, the sea blockade is part of that, will succeed in getting rid of the regime, that it will succeed in overturning it without too much more military activity needed. That's the hope and prayer, of course. And if that happens, Rick, then the Hamas problem, the Hezbollah problem basically go away. If the regime is gone, they will be disarmed for sure.
And we'll not be able to resist that anymore. David, as I listened to your update it seems like there are nations that are trying to guarantee Israel's safety or negotiate on their behalf, whether it be the Board of Peace in Gaza, Lebanon and Hezbollah, or even the United States and Iran, and I don't believe that Israel is convinced that they can guarantee their security.
Well, again, the evidence so far on the ground in Lebanon is that the Lebanese Army is afraid to take on this powerful militia group that despite all it's suffered and all its setbacks, Is still there and still has quite a bit of ammunition and motivation. Again, these are all Shiite Muslims that want to see Israel destroyed. And the same with Hamas, that they have been very much wounded. But if they sense the tide turning in the region, if they sense the Iranian regime is going to survive and be able to help them further in the future, then they have hope to retake the Gaza Strip, is the way they feel. And economics are on top and a lot of prayer in Israel that that will do the job.
Nobody wants to rejoin the war in an active way in the sense of more missiles coming down on Israeli cities, et cetera.
Well, that is true, and prayer is in order, David.
Well, that's it for the news right now. But before I let you go, we've already mentioned it on this program, and you know that this is the five-year anniversary of our dad, Dr. Jimmy DeYoung, passing away. And you spent many a Saturday on the air with him talking about what we're talking about now, and we appreciate that so much. Talk about your relationship with our dad, his legacy, and just the fact that he made it his mission for people to understand Bible prophecy, and not only that, to use current events to help us to understand where we are in God's timeline, remembering Dr.
Jimmy DeYoung.
Well, Rick, I actually first met him in the mid-80s through your current partner on this program. uh Jimmy the Young Jr. He was working as a journalist there, as your dad was as well, but I met your brother at a press center there. And he introduced your dad to me. A couple of weeks later, when I was in there every other day and your dad came in, I thought, this guy looks impressive.
And then I got to hear more and more about what he's doing and done and what he was doing there in Israel. And I knew he was involved with Minnow Callisher's congregation and I knew him well. He was a neighbor of mine actually. And So I was impressed, and the more I got to know him and your mother, your lovely mother, and And your sister and others, and your brother, the more I appreciated what his work was, what your family's work. has been and just a constant emphasis on the fact that we are living in biblical times still today, that the prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled, many of them, are coming into view now, that the pieces are clearly falling into place And he was saying this from Jerusalem.
And I was living in Jerusalem, of course, and worked there over 30 years as a journalist and wrote books about all of this.
So I just was very blessed, what can I say, to know him. What a wonderful legacy he's left behind in all of these recordings of his you and I were talking beforehand off air of his wonderful radio voice. He had a distinctive voice. You knew it was him immediately. He had a way of saying things and of positioning things.
And he even yelled at me once or twice when I went a little over time. He said, David, David. Yeah. I I loved him and of course you all did very much as well and and many of your listeners, I'm sure, and all the conferences he did as well, all the in person things he did over the years. Thinking of all of you and especially your mother.
And his legacy continues, and this is an evidence of it. And God bless you and your brother and your family for carrying on this. very uh vital work, I believe, in these very Interesting. biblical times that we're now living in. Dave Dolan, Dave.
We appreciate the kind words about the ministry, about dad, about us, and even more so, we appreciate the commitment that you have had to continue to come on this program every week and help us to look at what's going on in the world. Thanks so much. Look forward to talking to you again next week. It's been a real blessing, Rick. God bless.
Thank you. Great job, as always, David. When we come back, the actual program that Dr. Jimmy DeYoung did on the future temples in the city of Jerusalem. Right here on Prophecy Today, weekend.
Work as worship. This is Ken Hamb, author of the new book One Blood. The Biblical Answer to Racism. This week, we've learned that work is a good thing designed by God from the beginning for us to do. But we also saw that because of sin, work is hard.
But even in a cursed and groaning world, our work can bring glory to God. When we use the physical abilities, talents and the intellect God has given us, we bring glory to Him. In our work we're copying our Creator who made and sustains the universe. When we work with the attitude that we're serving the Lord no matter what we do, we bring glory to Him. Even though work is hard, we can find joy in our jobs as we seek to glorify our Creator by doing our jobs well.

This broadcast will help you to understand why we are approaching quickly the time of the rapture of the church. You see, the rapture must take place before they build a Jewish temple in the city of Jerusalem. Co hosting with me on this broadcast is our oldest son, Jim Junior, who is responsible for producing a documentary on the preparations to build the next temple, ready to rebuild, revisited. Jim, it's a joy to have you along as co-host. And, buddy, you did a great job on this documentary.
There's not a documentary any place in the world like this, is there? Oh, I agree with you, Dad. We've had a great time doing it. The Lord really provided us access to places where most people don't ever go and to do video and places and interviews with people that were very important to our project.
Well, indeed, you did an excellent job, son. And on this particular special edition of Prophecy Today, we're going to talk with some of those personalities that Jim interviewed in unique spots in all of Jerusalem. Rabbi Yehudi Gleck, the former head of the Temple Institute, tells us why this organization has been key in preparing to build the next temple. Ishra Madad, affectionately known as one of our broadcast partners on the weekly broadcast, is involved in government and has been a journalist for a number of years there in Jerusalem. Winky tells us that the Israeli government is not really interested in a temple on the Temple Mount because of the controversy and possible conflict that it could cause in the Middle East.
Rabbi Yoel Karen will talk to us about the fact that the Jewish people today are preparing to build Herod's temple, the one that was standing in the times of Christ 2,000 years ago. But he will also tell us that one day they will build Ezekiel's temple, as found in Ezekiel chapters 40 to 46, 202 detailed verses on how the temple for the Messiah will stand in Jerusalem. Gershon Solomon is head of the Temple Mount Faithful. He's going to talk about having the cornerstones to put up onto the Temple Mount and start construction then of the Temple itself. And by the way, Gershon will also tell us about an account of his adventure going to the Ark of the Covenant.
You do not want to miss that conversation. Rabbi Chaim Richman is the most knowledgeable man in the world on the red heifer. And he'll tell us that there indeed is a red heifer in the city of Jerusalem. But that's not the only news Rabbi Richman has. He's going to talk to us about the Temple Mount being the original site of the Garden of Eden.
A key component for the temple that will stand on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Rabbi Kahana, he's the man who started studying with these students, all the men that I've just talked about, in his yeshiva, place of learning for Jewish young men, the fact from God's word they are commanded to build a temple on the Temple Mount. Rabbi Kahana will talk about his priestly garments that are hanging right now in his closet. He's ready to put them on and go immediately to the Temple Mount to begin his duties there in the temple. And by the way, the rabbi believes that that temple will be built in his lifetime.
But first, Jim, let's talk with Winkie Madad and get his input about how the Israeli Government looks at this next temple that will stand on the Temple Mount in the city of Jerusalem. I want to find out how Winkie actually got interested in the Temple itself. Jimmy, I was taught at a very young age in the yeshiva, which is a religious seminary. One of the sayings of the rabbis. In every generation in which you do not work for the Temple Mount, It is as if it is again destroyed.
And if you learn about the Temple Mount, about the sacrifices and the sacrificial worship, It is if you are building it even though you cannot do it physically.
So that essential Mindset, I think, was instilled in me very early in my teenage years. And coming to Israel in nineteen seventy, I have always been involved in it I have particularly tried to give the slant to that. Even the secular powers that be, or the laws of man, Can and should be applied to the Temple Mount, for example, giving me the religious right to worship there, which I cannot do today. I cannot be overtly Jewish at the most Jewish site in the world. Which of course is not only wrong from a legal point of view, it's wrong from a national point of view, it's wrong from who the Jewish identity is.
Today, and that, of course, gives me motivation to continue the work that you have mentioned of many years standing.
Well, and you have been very closely involved in the political arena, working there at the Knesset, with a Knesset member being involved in watching what's going on across the nation of Israel as it relates to the body politic and the governing of these people, these Jewish people in Israel. What about the government? What is their interest? Do they have any interest in rebuilding that temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, or do they shy away from that? I would have to say they shy away.
It's always been the attitude of the various governments of Israel these past four decades that we don't need, as they say, another front, another line in the sand between us and the Arabs. Of course, the Arabs take advantage of that, and they built two underground mosques there. They continue to restrict any sort of Jewish identity with the site. I'm sure you'll be hearing and know about the temple denial as well as the Jerusalem denial from the Arab and Islamic world. despite the fact you mean and you have been following it very closely.
These past two or three years, have seen an, if I can say it this way, an outpouring from the ground. Of archaeological discoveries of things that prove. What we know was written and what existed at the time. And it's like it's building up to a certain extent. There's so many things that have been discovered these past.
Brief few years, more than when the Temple Mount around, or should around the Western wall, the Southern Wall, have been uncovered. And I think this also motivates people to understand what the Temple Mount means and should be in the Jewish scene.
Now, in light of the lack of interest with the Israeli government, but a growing interest among the body politic of the Jewish people. How far into the future do you think it'll be before there is a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem? I'm not going to guess, Jimmy. I would first like to see The right of the Jews to pray at some small corner. I can visualize a synagogue there, and it's a very long process.
It's not going to happen overnight, unfortunately, because people are too much set in their more than secular than religious education, and therefore they have not moved too much on the issue and will not. It makes them unfortunately too uncomfortable, shall we use the phrase. And that is a problem that has to be dealt with on an educational and public awareness level to raise the consciousness. It's a very long process. And unless something of shall we say, a more direct intervention Divinely inspired, I'm not going to be that optimistic.
I want to be very honest and truthful with you.
Well, indeed, God's word does say there will be a temple there, so it may be a long process, but it's going to be an absolute process that will be fulfilled maybe sometime in the near future. I agree with you, Jimmy. It's written. the Jewish people over the centuries Even in when we lost political sovereignty, we always came back in the fourth century, we tried to rebuild the Temple Mount.
So it's within us, it's within our identity, and I'm sure that everybody of who knows the Bible will even join forces with us to assist in that con future construction. Israel Madad, our very good friend of us here on Prophecy Today, a broadcast partner. And Winky, thank you so very much on this special edition of a Jewish Temple in the city of Jerusalem here on Prophecy Today. Your contribution has been greatly appreciated. Thank you, my friend.
Thank you, Jimmy, to you and our listeners. Winky Madad, with information about the Government's lack of interest in rebuilding the Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. But as Winkie said, God's Word says, indeed, that will happen. This is a program that goes along with the release of our DVD project, which Jim Jr., our oldest son, was involved in directing as we put it all together. It's entitled Ready to Rebuild, Revisited.
We integrate footage from a 20-year-old documentary and the latest information about what is happening in preparations to build the next temple. Jim, as I think about this production that you did, and you did a very good job, son, but I thought it was a real personal touch when the children there came up to the Temple Institute and Rabbi Glick, who was the former head of the Temple Institute, came out to greet them and encourage them in their thoughts about preparing to build the next temple. It sure was, Dad. You know, as I'm doing this videotaping, I'm out there, and I had talked to Rabbi Glick ahead of time, and we had done our portions. And with a video camera, you always have to be ready for the unexpected to take place.
And sure enough, it did. As I was standing there, and all these young boys from the settlements came up with their kippahs, their yarmulcas on top of their heads, their prayer shahs, their tassels coming out the bottom of their shirts as they were getting ready to go into the Temple Institute. I said, Rabbi, why don't you talk to these young kids? And sure enough, he took it. And those kids looked at him as if they were looking at a former prophet or, you know, one of the former kings of Israel.
They were just so excited, and they were listening to him as he talked to them. You're going to be able to see that conversation that Rabbi Yehuda Glick had with the children there at the Temple Institute if you get a copy of Ready to Rebuild Revisited. Rabbi Yehuda Glick is the former director of the Temple Institute in Jerusalem. He's a man who has been responsible for guiding the preparations to get everybody ready and everything ready for the building of the next Temple. They have been preparing the implements, replicating those from what they know about them in God's Word, the pattern for making all of these implements, and also in preparation to train the priest to do the priestly duties.
Rabbi Yehudiklek, thank you very much for joining us, my dear friend. Hi, Jimmy, and shalom from Jerusalem, and shalom to all of your listeners. Thank you so very much. Talk to me a few moments about the history of the Temple Institute. You are responsible for directing that organization in the very tedious task of preparing to build the next temple.
Talk to me about its history.
Okay. First of all, it really was a privilege. I mean, I really refer to it as a great privilege of running the Institute. I was the director of the Institute for five years. After I resigned from the government, I was on a very high level of mission in the government.
And I resigned due to what the what the Israeli government had decided to leave and take apart the Jewish life in uh the in the Gaza district, but now today we're talking about the uh Temple and the Temple Institute. The Temple Institute was established Almost thirty years ago. by Rabbi Israel Ariel. who uh himself was a paratrooper who uh took part in The reuniting of the city of Jerusalem in 1967 after the Six-Day War. And uh he established the Institute uh thirty years ago after he understood.
Many people mistakenly thought That uh The uh temple should be something that should be we should wait passively to fall down miraculously from heaven. And since he had uh actually studied and and read the book and and it's and understood that the message of the t o of the book is that We don't sit and wait, we actually are commanded uh obliged to do. And he began the actual preparations for the rebuilding of the temple. Uh he started for nothing uh thirty years ago. And today, we can say that happily we have prepared tens of different vessels ready to be used.
just waiting for the permission to get to that we are ready to build. And these vessels are were made and prepared exactly according to the demand of the Torah, according to the law of how to prepare them. And they're all ready to be used. And anybody who comes to visit Jerusalem is welcome to come and see. All the vessels uh what is was supposed to be of gold is gold, and what's supposed to be of silver is silver.
et cetera, and the vessels there are ready to be used. We're talking about from the very simple vessels as the uh ver vessels uh needed to for the use of uh infants uh offering to the very expensive and major vessels such as the Meridi Gold Menorah.
So and of course, this beyond the vessels the instrumental vessels, we have the vestments, the garments which use for the priests. in the temple, and I'm talking about the simple garments like the turban and the and the tunic, and of course, the gold uh crown used by the high priest.
So uh It really is a a major Historical godly phenomena that such an institute exists today in Jerusalem, and it was. mainly due to the actions of Ramaris Revario. But in his footsteps, and together with him, guided by him, is a whole team of researchers. of uh craft craftsmen, craftsmen. and many, many other educational directors Uh including I'm sure you most of your listeners are very familiar with Rabbi Chai in Richmond.
who is very well known, worldly in terms of teaching him at the temple. And there's a big team of researchers in all the different fields. Towards one goal, the goal that God has obliged us to take upon ourselves, and that is to rebuild the temple on the temple mount in Jerusalem. Yehuda, in actuality, we can think back through the centuries that there have been others since the temple was destroyed in 70 AD who have endeavored to try to build the temple on the temple mount in Jerusalem. But would you say that the Temple Institute has come along for such a time as this and is so key in the preparations to build the next temple, and without it, you wouldn't be able to be as advanced as you are in these preparations?
Look, we have to remember that we play a small role in this world. And the actual preparations for the rebuilding of the temple in this very special era. We're talking about After our a hundred years, after The beginning of the program, as described exactly thoroughly in the book, of the people of Israel returning to their homeland. And and then we have to understand that this is part of a godly process. I mean, th th th I think the the the number one miracle in the history of mankind, uh which is takes place in front of our eyes and it was described exactly in the book of the Jewish people, it's the only time, only only nation in the history of mankind that has returned home to its to its homeland and is happening in front of our eyes.
And part of this process Or I would say the main the main goal, the main aim of this process is the rebuilding of the temple. And since we have witnessed with our own eyes how the people of Israel coming back to their homeland And not only that, just a few years yesterday they were on uh very close to being totally erased from the globe. Just a few years later, they established their own independent state. And ever since nineteen forty eight, we witnessed Millions of people. We started off with some 600,000 Jews here in Israel, and today we're talking about.
close to seven million Jews here in Israel. And this is a process which is there's no other explanation but a godly explanation. And we're so totally moved by the fact that it's described in the book. And The actual establishment of the Temple Institute and the preparations for the rebuilding of the Temple is just the next step. In this major godly process where the process is means not we sit and wait, but we take part in it.
And every single step that we do, we feel that we're like making a a minor step, and God from above is like pulling the strings and He's helping out in what we're doing. And uh just like the process of returning to the home for the Jewish people is is part of the process, and we see that that has happened in that process.
So too. Is what we're talking about with the preparation for the rebuilding of the temple. Just for an example, if I can tell you that I. began involved in this process like twenty five years ago when my first time I went on to the Temple Mount, there were like only a handful of Jews going on to the Temple Mount, and it was like totally agreed upon everybody that that's it forbidden. And today, we see tens of thousands of Jews going on to the Temple to the Temple Mount.
We've seen hundreds of rabbis who support this. And of course, this is part of the process. It's happening, in my eyes, much too slow. But it's happening and it's happening in front of our eyes. And due to many, many people who are taking part in this, from around the world and The next part of this process is another major miracle in my eyes is that we see that many Gentiles from around the world who are supporting this thing.
And this is also something that I if I would tell somebody twenty years ago, thirty years ago, that that it would be happening, it would seem Something really far-fetched. And today we see with our own eyes how millions of people from around the world. Are supporting this unbelievable, what I call the godly phenomenon. Thank you very much, Rabbi Glick. Shalom from Jerusalem.
What interesting information about the preparation for the Temple the menorah, the seven branched candle opera, ready, and Rabbi Yehudaglik said they would love to light that menorah next Hanukkah on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Rabbi Yuel Karen now joins us. He's another personality of people, Jewish people in Israel, who are working very diligently at the task of preparing to build that next temple on the Temple Mount in the city of Jerusalem. Rabbi Karen, Jews in Jerusalem are preparing to build the temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. And as I understand it, they're following the pattern that was laid out by Maimonides, the great Jewish sage who wrote many, many years ago, a great treatment on Herod's temple.
And is that the pattern they're following right now? And if that be the case, why are they following that pattern? Pretty much, because we don't have any other temple to go off of. We know how the second temple was built. We have extensive, extensive details that were written on it by people who saw it themselves.
So that we can build. Ezekiel's temple has never been built. In fact, when they built the second temple, they tried to incorporate elements of Ezekiel's vision that they thought they could more or less understand. What they didn't understand, they left alone.
So it was sort of a sort of a mix, the the second temple, Herod's temple.
So we're we're working off of that same pattern because I mean to tell you the truth Ezekiel's temple would require Topographical changes to the city of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount itself. It's much more vast and expansive than any temple that's ever been built.
So there's really there's no way that we can with our own hands build the temple that's described by Ezekiel. We're working on what we can do.
Now, indeed, will there ultimately one day be an Ezekiel temple? The one that's described in Ezekiel 40 to 46, 202 verses, detailed information. And you've already said how different it is from the other temples. They tried to incorporate some of Ezekiel's temple in Herod's temple. That was not possible for them to understand.
But will there eventually be an Ezekiel temple on the Temple Mount? Without doubt, there will be. It's not for you and I to know every how and why of everything. I only have to know one thing, is that God Almighty's word never returns void. He promised it.
He'll work the details out. I don't know exactly how it will happen, but I know for sure it will happen as soon as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow. That's for sure. I can guarantee that as well. The promise is there in the Davidic covenant.
There seems to be, though, one little bit of a problem as it relates to building the temple on the temple mount. All the preparations, all the men have been trained, etcetera, etcetera. But what about that dome of the rock? Must it go before you put the temple up? It has to go.
As I've said before, number one, I can't, I have no authority and I have no desire To create a new Holy of Holies. The Holy of Holies. Where the high priest must go in once a year. the very center of the entire temple complex is sitting under that dome. And that's a fact, and I know that people have all sorts of wild theories that they've created, but that is an archaeological, historical, and architectural fact that it was there, and you can't.
get it to work out to be anywhere else. I've st I've studied this for many, many years. And a lot of money has gone into researching this subject. It's there. I wouldn't want it anywhere else.
And even if I could build it somewhere else, There's no way that I'm going to have some blasphemous Islamic shrine sitting next to it. There's no partnership with darkness. There's no covenant with evil. Yeah. Rabbi, are the Jewish people the man in the street there in Jerusalem and throughout all of Israel, in fact, are the Jewish people ready for a temple on the Temple Mount?
Do they want one, or what's the status? Look, for if you asked me this two or three years ago, I would have said sadly, absolutely not. There are only a few crazies, if you will, that would want such a thing. But it was just last year, I believe, that a poll was taken. by I forget which organization, which one of the polling organizations did it.
and around half of the population, or just over half, now say they want a temple.
So, this was a major shock to me. As much as I want to hear such a thing, I never imagined that I would hear it coming that fast. The reality can change, it can change. Overnight. God has his way of working.
Is there any effort to try to excite the Jewish people about putting up a temple on the Temple Mount? I know that you are working very closely with some other personalities involved in preparations to build a temple. Are you working to try to excite the body politic of Israel and the Jewish people around the world for the temple to be built there in Jerusalem? We recently had a temple conference at the great synagogue in Jerusalem, which is the It's sort of the the showpiece synagogue for the entire capital of Israel. And the place was packed out.
I was so, so happy to see it. The place was packed out with people to come and hear lecture after lecture. and explanations. A widely publicized event, heavily attended. by across the religious spectrum.
You know, some people don't realize that there are Some of the more Conservative elements of the religious public in Israel, they say we can't move to do things like building a temple. We'll wait for the Messiah to come and he'll do it for us. But I'm telling you, it was heavily attended by people all across the religious world, and even non-religious people were there.
So, yeah, the public relations work is going on. It's working. People are getting turned on. The Temple Institute's vessels that go out on public display, like those huge golden menorah, this is now just It's not some sort of a curiosity now. It's a standard, this is a tourist attraction of Jerusalem.
People come to see it.
So it's putting it in the minds, putting it in the hearts. It's there. It's becoming the consensus and not the fringe. Rabbi Karen, down through the centuries since the temple was destroyed in 70 AD, there have been efforts to rebuild the temple on the Temple Mount. But in our present time, are we the closest we've ever been?
And by saying that, then, are you thinking that maybe in your lifetime the Temple will stand in Jerusalem? I believe so. I can't predict anything. I'm not one of those prophets that I study every day. But uh I can tell you that as much as I've heard people Predict and claim and say that they've got it worked out and they've read the scriptures and they've figured things out and gogg and gogg.
I'm telling you, from what I see, there's no denying that something is right around the corner and something big. Like I always say, we've read ahead in the book, we know how it turns out. But I used to not be so sure that I would see these things in my lifetime. And now my opinion is rapidly changing.
Well, Rabbi Ul Karen, he's one of the personalities preparing to build the next temple. And, Rabbi, we so appreciate your participation in this special edition of Prophecy Today as we focus on the building of the next temple. Thank you, my dear friend. We'll talk again down the line. God bless.
We've got to take a break, and we're going to continue with more interviews from Ready to Rebuild Revisited. We thank you for allowing us to pay tribute to our father, Dr. Jimmy D. Young, who passed away five years ago today. And we are taking this time to honor him and to show you his passion for not only teaching Bible prophecy, but for the Temple Mount and the future temples that will be built in the city of Jerusalem.
We're going to take a break, and when we come back, Gershon Solomon tells us a unique story about seeing the Ark of the Covenant. That's all ahead, right here on Prophecy Today, weekend. Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., and along with Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. This is the fifth anniversary of the homegoing of our father, Dr.
Jimmy DeYoung, and we're doing the program of what he did of looking at the future prophetic temples in the city of Jerusalem. We've got a great interview coming up here. Gershon Solomon is on his way. And you can see this DVD in its entirety either at our bookstore or On YouTube. Go there to YouTube, you can watch it.
It is a great Teaching for anyone at any point in time to learn more about the future temples in the city of Jerusalem. Jim, thanks a lot for joining me on the broadcast today. Let me just say, I feel like you did a great job on this DVD. It's a documentary that nobody has in the world. And I like the way that you took the documentary I produced 20 years ago.
Like father, like son, he's producing his video now on the preparations to build the temple. And Jim, that was interesting how you put the parts together to let us look at the past but see how much they have advanced in the future. You know, looking at the past, there were some of the interviews that we did, especially that interview that you did with Gersh and Solomon. We'll never be able to replicate that as you were standing up there along with mom and the cameraman as you were standing up on top of the police station overlooking the Temple Mount. They said, you better save that footage.
You will never have a chance to get him up here again.
So we wanted to throw in a lot of the old because of the old footage because I think it really fit with what we were doing. Right now, we bring Gershon Solomon to these microphones as we continue this special edition of Prophecy Today, looking at all the preparations for the next temple to be built in the city of Jerusalem. Since 1991, I've had the honor of being able to know Gershon Solomon. He heads up an organization called Temple Mount Faithful. They have found and prepared the cornerstones that would be used to start construction on the temple, on the Temple Mount, in the city of Jerusalem.
Gershon, thank you for joining us today on this special edition of Prophecy Today. We're talking about the temple and the building of the temple on the Temple Mount. In essence, There needs to be a cornerstone, and you actually have a cornerstone that has been prepared by Halukuk law for the purpose of starting the construction. Is that correct? That's correct.
And um You know, actually, we have now two cornerstones for the third tempo, Each one of them is weight six point five ton, um marble stones And they were prepared, as you said, according to the biblical law, yes. No metal was used to prepare them. But they were prepared by Diamond, As I said, according to the a biblical law and the word of God, And I can tell through you on the first time that we are starting shortly to prepare the other stones for the building of the temple. And this is really an exciting time you know, Israel is now really experiencing may be the greatest time in our history, time of redemption. time of redemption of the people and the land of Israel.
and Jerusalem in the midst of it. the capital of Israel. the city of God, And this is the God signing to rebuild the temple of God. And this will be actually the climax of this great time in the history of Israel, and I would say in the history of all the world. because the rebuilding of the temple will open not only a great spiritual time in the history of Israel, but in the history of all the world and all the mankind.
you know, there is an exciting prophecy of the profit as there. Chapter two rels one to four, and this prophecy is speaking about our time. when the God of Israel is saying to us, In the last days, will be rebuild the the house of the Lord. on the highest of the mountains, and be exalted above the hills. in all the nations will float to heat, to Jerusalem.
to the city of God. to uh the God of Jacob. to learn his ways and Torah will go out of Jerusalem to all the nations. And then give attention to what the God is saying to us. then will come a real peace to Israel and to all the world.
All the nations will change their weapons to agriculture vessels And uh there will no more eleven worlds. And a real tease. will cover all the earth This is the timing of the end time a god's temple. from the earlier times Exodus twenty five eight build me a temple and I will dwell among you is um uh calling uh God to Israel. In the third temple, this is a call to all the nations.
He will dwell from Jerusalem among all his creation. Gershin, do you believe to day we are closer to the building of the Temple than when you told me you thought it could happen at any time some twenty years ago? Are we closer to day? Absolutely. We are very close and You know, people ask me why we you believe that we are so close.
See what happens around Israel.
so many enemies, wars and terror. And now um uh from Iran is is is, you know, is another enemy of Israel preparing Nicola Wet in stating Ahmadinejan, the President of Iran. that he he prepared to destroy Israel and all around Israel you know Islamic revolutions calling to destroy Israel When I see all of this, I know that time is short. It was prophesied Gershon, do you believe that in your lifetime there will be a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem? No doubt about it.
I I you know, I feel it in all my bones. I can hear in the air the like God is speaking to me and telling to me. Gershon, be strong, continue your campaign soon. My house will be rebuilt Don't fear anyone, not the enemies, not the weak people inside Israel. But be strong Go and build my temple.
And I want to tell you, Jimmy, once the temple is rebuilt, The real peace will come to Israel and to all the mankind as God uh prophesied to us. What's next, Gershon? I understand that all the preparations have been made. Everything is ready to start building the temple. Is the setting of the cornerstone, your cornerstones, that you've brought uh to the Temple Mount area often to try to put up there and start the building.
Is that the next thing to happen in the building of the next temple? Yes. The first time that we took the cornerstone, to lay on the Temple Mount and really it shocked all the Middle East and all the world wasn't the amount in manti. Since nineteen ninety, we tried again and again And we shall do it again shortly. We shall try to take the cornerstone and lay it on the corner on the Temple Mound and start the process Gershin, it was 1990.
You say you tried to erect that first cornerstone on the Temple Mount. I remember in 1991, one year later, when I produced my first documentary on the rebuilding of the Temple, you were there endeavoring to try to go up onto the Temple Mount. All the news media, CNN, and everybody was covering this situation. And I had a conversation with you at that time, and you said that you were ready to put that cornerstone in place to start construction of the next temple. But here we are 20 years later, and it's still waiting to happen.
But as you say, it could happen at any moment. Gershon, talk to me, if you will, about the Ark of the Covenant. I know that you had a dear friend, Rabbi Yehuda Getz, who was able to go to the location of the Ark of the Covenant. And you had a conversation with me. It's on my documentary, Ready to Rebuild, Revisited, the latest information about the preparations for the next Temple.
Talk to me about receiving a call early in the morning from Rabbi Goetz and talking to you about the Ark of the Covenant. Talk to me about that. Yes. It was really an exciting major moment in the history of Israel. when and it is a long story, but I will make a long story a short one.
It was when Rabbi Goetz, a great man, a great person that told me always It is enough for me to be the rabbi of the Western world. It has no meaning for me.
Now I want and I should be the rabbi of the Temple Mount.
So it was one night this year when he I got a call in after the middle of the night. It's come quickly. we are going to pick up the Ark of Covenant your dream is going to become a reality.
So I had not even time. I was so excited even to put my shoes on my legs and I ran quickly with my car to the tunnel that Rabai gets cleaned. and he discovered a gate that was closed not by the original stones, the herodic stones And he opened this gate and he discovered the beautiful and exciting Pamel. from the second temple. This is the tunnel of the priests From where the priests used to enter to the temple directly with no need.
to be involved on the rest Israelis from the southern gates of the Temple Mount And by this way to keep their um unity in a better way. And we knew it through the Bible and other books that that the Ark of Covenant is under the Dome of the Rock, location of the Holy of Holiers, In the end of this panel, and in a secret room. And really, we needed just maybe one or two days to complete the cleaning the tunnel so we can open the gate uh to this room. And unfortunately, again, a weakness we missed a great moment in the history of Israel and all the world. exactly as it happened in the nineteen sixty seven.
And we missed a great moment, I tell you, Jimmy, you can imagine what it could mean to Israel to all the world and to the cause of the rebuilding of the temple. But let me tell you, you know, you told me that we spoke twenty years ago, and I say the temple will be soon rebuilt what is twenty years in history of Israel in or four thousand years? But I tell you, Jimmy, In nineteen sixty seven, when God brought the Israeli forces to the Temple Mount, In nineteen sixty seven, His intention was in to immediately in the next day to start the building of the temple. this great moment of building of the temple was not cancelled a deal, Jimmy. It just was delayed for a short time.
believe that this time is coming again shortly because God is determined to build his temple. and the Israelites are anointed and called to build it. And I am sure I know it, Jimmy. Time is short. And one morning we shall awake and we shall hear the temple started to be rebuilt the Arab and Islamic pagan enemy was removed from the heel of God, and a great era in the life of Israel and all the nations.
Started. Gershen, thank you so very much, my friend. And I pray with you that temple will be up very soon. Thank you, Gershin. I appreciate that so very much.
God bless you. Two men that have passed on, but you know, we're still waiting for God to fulfill His promise in the prophetic aspect of a third temple and then the fourth temple, which is a temple that Jesus Christ will build. Dr. Jimmy DeYoung will come and take a look at the book right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. Yeah.
A future rest. This is Ken Hamm, author, speaker, and blogger on the Bible's reliability and authority. Work is a good thing, even though we work in a sin-cursed and broken world.
Now this should remind us of the future rest coming to those who trust in Christ. A day is coming when there will be no longer a curse. A service to the Lord will be joyful, just as it was for Adam and Eve before sin. You see? Jesus came to earth to do his work and he accomplished it.
That's why he cried, It is finished on the cross. While on earth he experienced all the trials of living in this cursed world, but joyfully served his Father even unto death. We follow his example as we look forward to our future rest, available through faith in Christ. Discover more about starting your thinking with God's Word when you go to AnswersRadio.com. It's time right now, here on Prophecy Today, for us to take a look at the book. On this special edition of Prophecy Today weekend, we talked with some very interesting personalities, all involved in preparing to build the next temple in Jerusalem. This special edition, a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, was enhanced by these conversations.
For example, we talked with Rabbi Yehudaglik. He is the former director of the Temple Institute, and they're the major players putting everything together, developing the implements that must be used in the temple, training the priest, everything that is needed to put the next temple up on the Temple Mount. Winky Madad. He comes from a political journalistic background, and he brought to our attention the Israeli government is not interested in a temple on the Temple Mount in Israel, in Jerusalem, because that would cause a conflict to unfold in the Middle East. Rabbi Yuel Karen said they're building Herod's temple right now, but indeed in the future they will build Ezekiel's temple.
That's Ezekiel chapters 40 to 46, 202 verses, detailed information about that next temple. Gershon Solomon, head of the Temple Mount Faithful, talked about having the cornerstones ready to put up on the Temple Mount and start construction. But he also brought to our attention his account of where the Ark of the Covenant is located and how he went to that site. Chaim Richman is a rabbi. He's the expert on the red heifer.
But he brought to our attention the Temple Mount is the original site of the Garden of Eden, and key to understanding that's why the Temple must be there. And then, of course, Rabbi Nachman Kahana, he's the man who, in his yeshiva, started all the study in preparation to build the next temple. From God's word, he gave these students who began to start preparing everything, all the needed information that God wants them to know about this next temple. By the way, he said that he has his priestly garment, it's hanging in his closet, ready for him to put on, and then he will report for duty on the Temple Mount. He told me that he believes the temple will be built indeed in his lifetime.
You need to listen to these conversations. In fact, you need to listen to the entire program. It's available at PTRN. That's located at ProphecyToday.com. ProphecyToday.com.
Go to PTRN, Prophecy Today Radio Network, Radio when you want it, at your convenience, when you can listen, and listen to the entire program, a special edition of Prophecy Today Weekend, a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Will there indeed be a future Jewish temple in Jerusalem?
Well, the answer is yes, and here is why. God has promised that is the case. God promised King David that there will be a temple in Jerusalem. That's the Davidic covenant, 2 Samuel chapter 7. In fact, King David's son Solomon built that temple.
He did that 3,000 years ago. It's recorded in 2 Chronicles 3. Nebuchadnezzar came along. He was the leader of the Babylonian Empire. He destroyed that first temple, as recorded in 2 Chronicles 36.
But then, 70 years later, Zerubbabel, under the direction of Cyrus, who was the head of the Medo-Persian Empire, prophesied 150 years before he appeared on the scene. He allowed Zerubbabel and about 50,000 Jews to return to Jerusalem to build the second temple. That's Ezra chapters 1 to 6. Herod the Great made that temple majestic 46 years. John 2 tells us that that was the case.
Mm. But in 70 A.D., as Jesus Christ had given a testimony and a prophecy of the fact it would happen, General Titus destroyed the temple and dispersed the Jews to the four corners of the earth. When you look at Bible prophecy, a part of that promise from God is that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return to Jerusalem and he will build the millennial temple, the Messiah's temple. That's recorded and given to us in Zechariah 6 and verse 12. Verse 13 says he will rule and reign from that temple forever.
By the way, a description of that temple is that Ezekiel passage, chapters 40 to 46, 202 detailed chapters and information about that temple. But before Messiah's temple there will be a tribulation temple. That brings to our attention Satan's provision. In the Bible, Daniel chapter 9 and verse 27, the prophet tells us that the Antichrist will come to power, and he will allow for the building of a temple where the abomination of desolation will take place. He will cause the sacrifice to cease.
Jesus Christ confirmed that, Matthew 24:15, when he said that if you see the abomination of desolation prophesied by the prophet Daniel, flee, get out of town, head for the protection in Petra. 2 Thessalonians 2 and verse 4, the Apostle Paul says, The abomination of desolation will be when the Antichrist walks into the Holy of Holies on the Temple Mount there in Jerusalem and claims to be God. And remember, John the Revelator said that he was told to measure the spot for a temple. Revelation 11 and verse 1. This scenario works out after the coalition of nations attack the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
Most likely, there's going to be a stray scud in that battle that will destroy that dome of the rock. That would be, of course, the temple that was there and the location of where the temples were to stand. And the Antichrist will tell the Jewish people they can put their temple up on the holy mountain of God between the seas. That's Daniel chapter 11 and verse 45.
Well, that will be the beginning of the tribulation temple, which is an absolute. It's going to be on the Temple Mount. And man's preparations have given us the indication that everything is ready. In my latest documentary on the rebuilding of the third temple, ready to rebuild, revisited, you'll be able to get the information that you'll need to have as it relates to how man is prepared for that temple to go up. For example, all the priests, 28,000 of them, have prepared to operate that temple.
Their garments are made. All the implements that you'll need, like the Mizrock, which carries the blood from the sacrificed animals to the Altar. All the furniture, the table of showbread, the menorah, the location where they burn the incense, the altar of incense. The harps have been made, 4,000 of them. The Ark of the Covenant, they know where it is according to the scriptures.
2 Chronicles 35, 3, it's underneath the dome of the rock in a secret location. They even have the red heifers. Listen, everything is ready to build that temple on the Temple Mount, which is the original site of the Garden of Eden. There's only one thing that must take place. It's called the rapture of the church. Jesus shouts, archangel shouts, trumpet God sounds. We're caught up to be with him in the air. By the way, that rapture comes.
