Uh Welcome to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr., and along with my brother Rick de Young, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. As followers of Christ, what should be our attitude and our involvement with politics? It's been said that religion and politics don't mix, but is that really true? Can we have political views outside the considerations of our Christian faith?
The answer is no, we cannot. Our faith should inform our political views. The Bible gives us two truths regarding our stance toward politics and government. The first truth is that the will of God permeates and supersedes every aspect of life. Second, government is not the remedy for all our social ills.
On today's program, we have Ken Timmerman, David Dolan, Bill Federer, and R. C. Merle. And we'll be talking politics. Let's get started with our first rick with Ken Timmerman.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Ken Timmerman with us. He's an author, an analyst. He's someone who we go to when we want to know what is going on geopolitically around the world. You can find out more by going to his website at kentimmerman.com.
Ken, I know you're skiing with your family right now, so I certainly appreciate you taking the time to be with us this week. Thanks so much, Rick. It's a blessing to be skiing with family, but it's also a blessing to be with you and with our listeners.
Well, we certainly do appreciate it.
Well, let's start. And it's basically a continuation of the theme that we had last week, and that is President Trump at the epicenter of just about everything that we're seeing nowadays, including geopolitics. He had his State of the Union address. Can you talk a little bit about the Trump effect lately and maybe give us your take on that address to Congress?
Well, Rick, look, Donald Trump is moving at light speed, and he's moving on many fronts, and he's doing it simultaneously. And the media and Congress are playing catch-up, constant catch-up. They don't know what to do. At the State of the Union, which was officially an address to Congress, to a joint session of Congress this year, look at the pure hatred in the room from the Democrats. I mean, it was really exceptional.
I have been to one of Obama's State of the Union addresses in the gallery. I was invited by a member of Congress, Trent Franks, at the time. And we didn't boo President Obama. We didn't like what he said. We didn't necessarily stand for all of his applause lines.
But when he said something that we thought was good for the nation, we did stand up. I think it was good for the American public to see that pure hatred on the Democrat side. They could not even stand up for that 13-year-old boy who was a survivor. Of brain cancer, who dreamed of being a cop all of his life, and he was made an honorary member of the Secret Service. And by the way, that boy is from the same congressional district that Al Green, that member who was taken out by security, taken outside because he was interrupting Trump.
Al Green represents that young boy and his father, and he couldn't even stay in the room to listen to that presentation. I think this was healthy for Americans to see this. The polls show after the address, Rick, that Americans approved of what Donald Trump was saying by about 59%. It's pretty extraordinary. His agenda is what Americans want: they want truth from government.
They want return. responsibility. from government. They want good stewardship of their taxpayer dollars from government. And they realize, Rick, that until Donald Trump came back into the White House, they haven't been getting it.
Well, he certainly has been having an effect, not just in the United States but around the world. And we talked last week about that extraordinary meeting that President Trump had with Zelensky of Ukraine.
Now more news coming out of Russia. Can you give us an update on the status of the Russia-Ukraine crisis? Right.
Well, first of all, that was the most extraordinary bit of reality show diplomacy we have ever seen, ever, I think, in the history of the world. That blow-up showed the world that Zielinski was not ready for peace. As Trump said, he was seeking to dragoon the United States into his war with Russia. It also showed that NATO is not only disunified, we've talked about this a lot on this show, but Trump showed the Europeans the consequences of their failure to lead. They can no longer depend on U.S.
taxpayers to save them, nor should they be depending on us to save them. Trump also demanded, remember, that Ukraine pay back the aid, and this was universally criticized by Democrats in particular, but the Europeans as well. But this is exactly what happened with the United States and Great Britain during World War II. It was called Lend-Lease. We advanced them the weapons, and then after the war, they paid us back.
By the way, that debt adjusted to U.S. dollars in 2025 was around $550 billion. And yes, it was paid back.
So we are seeing a new universe being sketched out by Donald Trump right now.
Some have talked about a new Yalta. In other words, President Trump sitting down with President Putin to redefine the borders of this new world. And if something like that happens, Rick, you know that the Europeans will be demanding seats at the table. But as a vowel, Given their really pathetic military capabilities and their unwillingness to spend money to increase those capabilities. They're going to be lucky to get stools in the back row.
Well, I want to talk about the European Union and their response in just a second. But before I do, just your opinion hat here, Ken. How close are we to any type of agreement? Do you see things moving along? I know it's not as quickly as President Trump would like, or any of us would like, especially those fighting, but do you see something happening soon?
Well, stuff is happening, and it's happening behind the scenes and in public. We learned this week, for example, that Steve Witkoff, who we thought was President Trump's envoy to the Middle East, well, he's also been meeting with Putin. He was sent to Moscow quietly, and he met one-on-one with Vladimir Putin for three and a half hours. And the whole point of this was not to negotiate. Both Trump and Witkoff explained afterwards, they said this was to reestablish trust.
Remember, for three years, the United States was not talking to Putin at all. President Biden was calling him a murderer and a thug.
Okay, he is all of those things, but that's not how you negotiate a deal.
So this was very important. Witkoff's meeting with Putin was important. Earlier in the week, also, Trump was touting the idea of a minerals deal, not just with Ukraine, but also with Russia, lifting sanctions on Russia, U.S. businesses returning to Russia. And then Guess what, Rick?
Events have a way of intruding themselves onto the desires of world leaders. Putin launched a massive drone strike and missile strike on Ukraine's power plants on Friday. And Trump reversed himself. He said, oh, he's pounding the Ukrainians. Until now, I thought he was holding back.
Now he's pounding them. But we might impose really dramatic sanctions on Russian banks and much more.
Now You know, Rick, you and I talked about this strategy a couple of months ago. And I sketched it out for our listeners. I said, Donald Trump's Game plan. is essentially to tell Zelensky, if you don't come to the table, I am withdrawing US aid. and to tell Putin.
If you don't come to the table and become more reasonable, I'm going to give Zelensky everything he wants and put sanctions on you.
So that's where we are today. This is the back and forth, it is the art of the deal. And it is in full progress. This is happening every minute of every day now, Rick.
Well, it certainly is, and we're keeping track of it.
Well, let's go back to what you were talking about. You were talking about the European Union. They have come up with a plan to, quote unquote, rearm Europe. Can you talk about that?
Well, a plan to rearm Europe with whose money and whose soldiers. That's the big problem. Vanderleyden, who's the president of the European Commission, she's a centrist from Germany who has tried to exclude all of the right-wing parties, by the way, from any power whatsoever in the European Union. She says they are going to establish a new fund of joint borrowing of about 150 billion euros, about 160 billion dollars, that's the equivalent. Nobody knows what she means.
They don't know where that money is going to come from. The only thing they know is that Ursula van der Leyden and the European Commission will have control over how it's spent. They say, well, it's going to help European defense production, but. It's supposed to go to the poorest countries in Europe who don't have any military production, not to the countries who can actually defend Europe.
So, once again, Rick, I thank Ursula van der Leiden, who let's not forget, this is the woman who just three weeks ago said that social media accounts of anybody who supported Donald Trump and things that she did not agree with should be censored and taken down. That's who this woman is. This is a typical Euro-industrial welfare program. Its fairy tale defense. President Trump has been using Vladimir Putin to potentially help him negotiate with Iran.
Can you talk about that?
Well, remember a couple of weeks ago we talked about that meeting in Saudi Arabia on February 18th when it was supposed to be, we were told, a meeting about the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov was there. But President Trump's special envoy for Russia-Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, was not there. Instead, Steve Witkoff. The Middle East envoy was there.
And I speculated on this show that there was something else going on. It wasn't just about Russia, Ukraine.
Well, guess what?
Now we learn what was actually going on is that President Trump wanted to sound out the Russians to see if they would help. The United States negotiates with the Iranians an end to their nuclear weapons program. And two weeks after this meeting in Saudi Arabia, Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, he went to Tehran to brief the Iranians on this U.S. offer. I think it's a pretty extraordinary way of doing business.
I'm not sure it's a good thing. but it may be a necessary thing for this President. Remember, as Churchill said, jaw jaw is better than war, war. President Trump does not want to have a war with Iran over their nuclear weapons program, but He also does not want them to get a nuclear weapon. And let me just point out one more thing, Rick.
Elbridge Colby, who is the President's nominee to be the head of policy at the Department of Defense, he testified this week at a hearing with Senator Tom Cotton that if diplomacy fails in Iran, He will prepare military plans to attack Iran's nuclear weapons facilities. It's significant. For Mr. Colby to say this because he is widely considered as an Iran dove, as somebody who favors negotiations with the Iranian regime. And here he said publicly, if those negotiations fail, the only option is a military strike.
Ken Timmerman for Prophecy Today. Ken, as always, we appreciate you taking the time to inform us on what is going on around the world. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Thanks so much, Rick, for having me. Got us.
Our Middle East news update with David Dolan coming up right here on Prophecy Today weekend. I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. Nearly 50 Christians have been killed over a three-week span in Nigeria. Fulani militants were behind most of the latest attacks. While Bokaharam was to blame for one pastor's death, Joshua Irandi with Transworld Radio says Fulani Islamists increasingly target Christian farmers, and the Nigerian government does nothing to oppose the violent campaign.
Instead, believers are pushed into displacement camps where despair comes easily.
Some people who do not have places to go are moved into IDP camps provided by the government. Pray Nigeria's government would take action against the extremists. And the things that matter most take time. FMI serves local churches in some of the hardest to reach places on earth. Today, they're in the middle of an exciting yet slow season of expanding their reach in the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa.
Here's Patrick Anthony from FMI. We start with people that we trust, and they share relationships and friendships that they have that they trust. The team connects with national leaders with the same vision to see God's kingdom expand. From country to country, FMI has the same goals of assisting church planters, evangelism, seeing the church spread. But how that happens in each country can look a little different.
Please pray for trust, clear communication, and understanding cross-culturally for FMI's new relationships in North Africa. Find your place in the story at missionnews.org. I'm Ruth Kramer. Welcome back to Prophecy Today Radio, the program that looks at current events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Well, this is the portion of our program we call it our Middle East news update. We look at news coming out of Israel in particular, but the Middle East overall. To do that, we have our good friend Dave Dolan with us. Dave, thanks for being with us today. You're welcome, Rick.
Well Dave, let's start with an update, what's the latest from Israel?
Well, Rick, the main news all week has been connected to Gaza and the hostages. a few other things happening too, but that's been the main one. On Sunday, all aid was halted into the Gaza Strip by Israel after daily aid and heavy aid on some days, six hundred, seven hundred trucks a day coming in. That's been halted, but the strip is fairly well stocked, the Israelis say. And of course, Their aim is to put pressure on Hamas.
To resume the hostages, or they warned again all through the week that the war will resume. And Friday night, we got a note. That the IDF is being told that at any moment the war could resume.
Now this came as talks resumed in Cairo between Hamas and Qatar and Egypt, the US not directly participating as of yet. And Rick, the new IDF Chief of Staff, Ayal Zamir, took office early in the week. And the first thing he did Was order and surprise drill amongst the soldiers that he was meeting in the Gaza Strip. He said, Hamas is just attacked. What are you going to do?
And the commanders didn't know it was coming. Nobody knew, and they had to quickly. And there was some fire involved. I mean, you know, directed fire, but so it was a real test. And he told reporters that the war could reignite any moment.
He said Hamas must be decisively defeated. And then, of course, Rick, on Wednesday night, President Trump met eight of the freed hostages in the White House. In the Oval Office, four males and four females, one a married couple. He listened for over an hour to what he called their horrific stories. Living in terrible conditions.
And he made uh he said some of the stories he heard, he could not even repeat the details. They were so grotesque. And he was very angry about it. His aide said that all the next day he talked about it throughout the day. And he demanded that the American hostage soldier, Edon Alexander, who he mentioned is.
Known to be wounded, known to be in horrible conditions. The soldiers' rickets now clear are being treated even worse. Than the other hostages were, have very little food, et cetera.
So he said, we want him released now, or we're going to release the gates of hell upon Hamas, or allow Israel, he made clear, to do that. And then we had the surprise announcement earlier in the week, Rick, by Steve Witcoff, the American ambassador to the Middle East for President Trump, the special ambassador, that they were negotiating directly with Hamas. He confirmed reports in Qatar that U.S. hostage negotiator Adam Bowler had met directly with Hamas leaders. Apparently, demanding the release of at least ten hostages, living hostages.
It's believed there's twenty four left. wrecked most of them soldiers. Immediate release of those, and then the U.S. will push Israel to extend the ceasefire another two months through Ramadan, which just began last week, and then, of course, Passover next month. Hamas has so far not responded to that, Rick, and they released some pretty strong anti-American, anti-Trump statements after he posted that they have to do this and that they have to treat people sanely.
And he said something will happen with Iran as well. He didn't say what that was going to be.
So, all that's going on, Rick. And then we and we had a report that the U.S. Ambassador, Ron Dermer, the former ambassador, was on the phone with Bowler on Tuesday and very angry that the U.S. was negotiating directly with Hamas, even though Trump said that Israel had been informed in advance and that they were not against it. It seems that that's not quite the case.
And finally, Rick, we had heavy fighting during the week in Syria. On the Mediterranean coast, where the supporters of former President Assad live. The Alawite community is headquartered there. We had reports on Friday of a huge number of civilians massacred and being piled, their bodies being piled in a yard in the city of Latakia in the north. And the province there as well, a heavy fighting going on, and this, of course, is.
uh Turkish back to government, Syrian new government uh forces Fighting against the Alawite forces, the former regime.
So Israel's watching it closely because, of course, Syria exploding into full scale warfare again would just add to the tensions in the region to say the least.
Well, David, I'd like to talk about the situation in the North in just a second, but before I do that, you said that President Trump said there will be hell to pay if they do not release the American hostages.
Now this is typical President Trump rhetoric, but is there anything that he could really do to force Hamas to release these hostages?
Well, Rick Witkopf and Bowler and President Trump himself all said that they're fighting to get all of the hostages out. Of course, their top priority is the living American and several dead American bodies. Which he mentioned how horrible it is that they're holding these bodies for months after months after months. And he was obviously disgusted by what he heard from these eight people. And by the way, these eight hostages thanked him very much for intervening and for his help.
And he was genuinely moved. You could tell that. But the point is that. Israel is not a client of the United States, but certainly is very reliant in a war on U.S. military support, as Ukraine has been.
And so basically, he's saying, we'll unleash Israel on you. He said that out loud. We'll greenlight them to do whatever they have to do. And Rick, we're hearing more about what's being planned. They've been taking these.
Six weeks to do detailed plans of what they will do if and when the war resumes, and they expect it to. They're going to do a lot of special operations, they've already plotted it all out. And it could begin, as they've said, at any time.
So the threat is that Israel will come after you in full force and we will not stop them. He's made clear that U.S. boots or aircraft will not be directly involved, but will be very much supportive of whatever happens there. And he said the leadership will be wiped out. He said on Wednesday night, I'm quoting, this is the last warning for the leadership.
Now is the time to leave Gaza while we still have a chance.
So the Hamas leaders could do that. They could go to Cairo, they could announce that they're gone and they could free the remaining hostages or at least the ten and get another two months.
So this doesn't have to happen. Also on Friday, Rick hostage video, another one was released. Of a wounded soldier, and it was very sad to listen to it. And like the others, he was calling on Netanyahu to free everyone as if Netanyahu were holding the hostages himself. You know, of course, they're under duress when they make these videos, but it's very distressing to the country to see them and to hear them pleading for their freedom.
And he described his horrible conditions of captivity. They let him do that. They want the Israeli people now to know how horrific it is. And Rick, I didn't mention this, but in their statement in reply to Trump, they said they will kill. They will murder all the remaining hostages.
If Israel does anything militarily, right away, they will do that.
So we're in a real bad situation here and uh You know, but like I said last week, A majority of Israelis are telling pollsters that, of course, everyone wants their remaining people home, and especially the soldiers. If they die as a result of this evil Hamas regime, and as a result, if they do kill them, of course, Rick, it's going to be a terrible situation for the Gaza people. And we're hearing more and more pleas, Rick, on film, even on Arabic channels from Palestinians there pleading for Hamas to release the hostages and not allow this war to resume. They certainly don't need or want that. They certainly don't, David.
Well, before I let you go, in the brief time that we have left, I want to talk about the situation in the North. It has been relatively quiet there, but you reported on these killings by the new Government in Syria. Can you talk about that, and is that going to lead to an escalation in the North?
Well, the Turkish backed new government of Syria, headed by a former terrorist leader, wants all of Assad's people quelled or at least quieted. And the province of Latakia on the coast, and that's by the way, where the Russians. Have their air and sea base. two bases actually, one air, one C. And they're backing Assad, of course.
He's up in Moscow. He fled and is there. And but they don't want to go to war against Turkey. And Israel sees a possible big power war developing on its northern border, Rick. Between Turkey, a very powerful NATO ally, and Russia.
We know all about it. And of course, Iran comes into that, and Hezbollah comes into that, and all the rest.
So they're very concerned about what's going on there. But the Alawites are not going to just disappear. They're about 20% of the population, Rick, and that's where they're concentrated. That's their home area. And but if the government's going to just start slaughtering them en masse, which looks like maybe taking place, then we're going to have probably a Russian reaction and maybe a Turkish reaction to that.
So it's a pins and needles situation. Dave Dolan reporting on what is taking place in the Middle East. Dave, thanks so much we look forward to talking to you again soon I'm blessed to do it, Rick. God bless. David Dolan, great job, David.
You know, I'm always reminded of God's blessings on the Jewish people, but also the prophecies pertaining to the discipline of the Jewish people and how they will be God's people in the future.
Well, we've got to take a break, and when we come back, we're going to talk to Bill Federer and R.C. Murle about the President's State of the Union address to Congress. That's all ahead, right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. Something stunning hit primetime TV in Pakistan last month.
A popular show boldly portrayed the nation's struggle with false blasphemy accusations and lynch mob practice. It sparked strong reactions and beginning hope for cultural change. Floyd Brabelle with the Voice of the Martyrs Canada explains that mob attackers are rarely held accountable, even when people have been killed. Pray for a just government and that minority believers will press forward with the gospel in this cultural moment. Then, the Persian New Year kicks off on March 20th with its themes of rebirth, purity, and light.
By filming the story of Esther in Farsi, Denise Godwin and the team at International Media Ministries hopes to point Iranians to the true source of these themes, Jesus Christ.
Meanwhile, Esther is central to another March celebration, Purim, the Jewish festival commemorating deliverance from Haman. Pray that as Jewish communities read the story of Esther, they will. Glimpse Jesus Christ. Mission Network News: The Service of One Way Ministries. I'm Ruth Kramer.
Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. Along with Rick, we're examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. There is no doubt that government is necessary, and our responsibility is to obey the laws and be good citizens. That's Romans chapter 13, verses 1 and 2.
God has established all authority, and He does so for our benefit to commend those who do right. That's 1 Peter chapter 2, verses 13 and 15. It is the government's responsibility to rule, hopefully for our good, to collect taxes and to keep the peace. That's Romans 13:1 through 8. Good citizenship includes taking seriously our duty to be informed and vote for leaders who promote Christian principles.
Where we have a voice, we should exercise the right to vote. Candidates or proposals at odds with the Bible's teaching on life. Family, marriage, or faith should never be supported. Those who uphold biblical values should be helped. And Rick, as we do the program this week, Obviously, it's right after the State of the Union speech.
President Donald Trump is so very much in the news. And as you stated in your first story with Ken Timmerman, it looks like he's redrawing and reshaping the future of the world. But I thought we should bring in our good friend Bill Federer, who has a good historical perspective on presidents and how they operate from the past and into the future. Let's bring in Bill.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Bill Federer from the AmericanMinute.com with us today. Bill, thanks for being with us. Great to be with you.
Well, Bill, you have a radio ministry at AmericanMinute.com. You look at American history and you kind of put what's taking place in the world today in context, both from a historical and a biblical perspective. And what we do here at Prophecy Today is we look at current events and see how they're shaping the world, where nothing is shaping the world right now more than the real. Election of President Trump and what he has done in his first month or so in office, culminating with that State of the Union address, or just the address to Congress, I guess that's what they call it. If you could give us a little bit of perspective, both from an historical and in a biblical way, that address to Congress that you heard, let our listeners know what you thought about it.
Yes.
Well, Trump is not a globalist, and he is wanting to make America great again. One of my books, Chains to Chains, I go through all the world's history, show the most common form of government's kings. And the first one was Nimrod, Tower of Babel. And Josephus, the Jewish commentator, said Nimrod wanted to build a tower so high that if God destroyed the world again with a flood, he could survive on top.
So it was defiant against God. And he made everybody in town bake bricks and bring them, or he would kill them. He wanted people to fear his government more than fear God. And since the population of the world was there in the Mesopotamia Valley, right, just down the mountain from Arret, where Noah's Ark landed. and Nimrod wanted to control it.
In a sense, he was the first globalist He was the first one world government guy. He population of the world was there. He wanted to control it through fear. God comes down, confuses the languages and the people scatter into language groups that turn into nations. Lo and behold, nations were God's invention to postpone a one world government.
Right? Take the population of the world, break it into these subgroups and they'll sort of cancel each other out. But every now and then you get some king, Pharaoh, Caesar, Kaiser, Khan, dictator that wants to conquer other nations. And if left unchecked, he'd have been happy to conquer them all. And so these kingdoms keep getting bigger.
And with every new military advancement, so instead of Cain, kill, and Abel with a rock, they can kill with bronze weapons, or iron weapons, or phalanx spears the Greeks had, or scimitar sword that the Muslims had, or gunpowder that the Chinese invented. The weapon keeps improving, but it's that same fallen nature of Cain, kill, and Abel. And anybody that can plot on a graph sees that at some point it's going to max out on a global level. And Jesus said, wheat and tares grow together until the harvest. Trump is a pushback on this agenda.
Reminds me of God sending the prophets to King Manasseh saying, You filled the streets of Jerusalem with the blood of innocent babies. It's over. Forget it. And so. the prophets pronounced the prophecy.
But His grandson Josiah becomes king and he repents. And he sends men to clean out the temple, and they find a law of God, and they're reading it to this young king. He rips his garments, repents, sends to a prophetess in town. And she basically says, God's putting off the judgment. She says, judgment is coming, but not during the king's lifetime, because he repented.
When he heard the words of the Lord.
So it's almost like, you know, God is God. He can put off the timetable if people repent. I don't understand at all. But but the and so here's Josiah. He has a big Passover, supposedly the biggest Passover ever.
It was like a rally. He liked rallies. And then he tore down Sodomite Temples. He got rid of the trans agenda. Right?
No more of this sexual. And then he. He abolished the Department of Education and sent out the Levites to teach the law.
So let's get back to the Bible and. Um but it was a top-down. Reformation, and it never permeated to the bottom. How do we know?
Well, after he dies, after 31 years, and Zedekiah and his Jews are taken captive to Babylon, the remnant that is left in the land. with Jeremiah. They're still worshiping idols. You know, Jeremiah's with this remnant, and they go, Oh, we're worshiping the queen of heaven. As long as we did, everything was fine.
And she's like, No, God was patient putting up with you. And the message to us is we can't sit back and say, Well, uh, Trump's cleaning house, we can go back to normal. No, this is our chance to bring revival to the grassroots, to everywhere, to take advantage, because the rest of the world, If you go to Europe, they're arresting people for posting something that's biblical. And not in favor of the woke or Islamist agenda. In India, they're going radical Hindu and they're taking Christians in villages and hanging them behind cars and dragging them to their death.
And then in communist countries like North Korea, the the norm for Christians is to be persecuted. And we have this exception for a couple hundred years in America where we as the Christians got to be on top for a while. And we need to realize this is a rare opportunity and we need to get involved and take advantage of it.
So Trump is pushing back on the globalist agenda. He's dismantling things. This is more or less unheard of. Uh you would you know, I was reading about Eisenhower, and he put a guy on his administration named Clarence Mannion. He was the Dean of the Notre Dame Law School.
And he had a task. Do Doge. Seriously, Dean Mannion, his job was to go through all of the power that FDR had concentrated in the government for 12 years. FDR was president for 12 years during the Great Depression, World War II, and he concentrated an untold amount of power. And so Clarence Mannion comes up with a list of things that need to be cut back and given back to the states and The rhinos.
Got to Eisenhower and said, no, no, no, don't get rid of all that. We'll just be in charge of it, and we can use all this concentrated power to push our agenda. And they missed that window of opportunity. And it's like a ratchet wrench. It goes one way and tightens, but then when you turn it the other way, it just clicks.
It doesn't really untighten. And, um, And so Reagan, I loved him, he was a tremendous president. And he campaigned. saying he was going to get rid of the Department of Education. And he gets in, and I saw a video, and it was honoring the new Department of Education.
Secretary. He said, You know, I was going to get rid of the Department of Education, but then I met Bill Bennett.
Now, Bill Bennett's tremendous, he's brilliant, he's a good conservative, but Reagan missed that opportunity. And it's almost like the devil sat back and said, fine, you can have it for eight years. But it's going to come back to me, and I'm going to push this LGBTQ plus and whatever else.
So, Trump in actually getting rid of some of these departments is unprecedented. And we need to realize that this is a rare opportunity. I believe this is God giving us a Josiah moment. And we need to take advantage of it.
Well, listeners, as you can see how Bill Federer puts this in context and we look at what we're seeing, he relates what is going on to history. That's really great.
Well, we talked a little bit before coming on air, and you talked about the history of executive orders. And of course, President Trump does quite a bit through executive order. Could you tell us what you know about that? Right.
Just a little perspective. The Constitution does not specifically mention executive orders, but Article two, Section three, says the President shall, quote, take care that the laws be faithfully executed.
So Congress writes the laws, the President executes the laws and the Supreme Court is supposed to make sure that they're executed by the President in the way that Congress wanted them executed.
So the uh executive orders at first We're not Distinct from presidential proclamations, presidential memorandums, presidential letters. He would just include in a letter, okay, make sure to do this, and he would give instructions. government officials. And there was not a numbering of the executive orders Until 1907. and then they retroactively numbered them back to Lincoln in 1862.
There's over one thousand five hundred unnumbered executive orders. And every now and then, they find another one in a drawer somewhere, and they add that to the list and put a A or a B behind it. 1936, they passed the Federal Register Act that required. executive orders be made public. Washington issued eight.
The first executive order was when the England and France were getting ready to have a war. and Washington Gave an executive order. for American citizens to stay neutral. But there was not a clear way of enforcing it.
So when Congress came back in session, They passed the Neutrality Act of seventeen ninety-four, so Congress. If the executive orders are to be made permanent, Congress has to step up and do something. And then Trump in his first month did seventy executive orders. He did an executive proclamation freeing the january sixth prisoners. He by Executive Order one four six eight recognized only two sexes.
Executive Order one hundred four two hundred one, keeping men out of women's sports. Executive Order One four One Eight Seven Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation. Executive Order 13985. Trump. And did Radical indoctrination of K-12 schooling ended DEI.
and establish the Department of Government Efficiency, Doge, Executive Order one four one five eight. Securing the borders. 14165. Withdrawing from the World Health Organization, 14155. Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, 14162.
Designating drug cartels as terrorist organizations, one four one five seven protecting the Second Amendment. One four two oh six.

fascination. It was Executive Order one hundred four seventy six. Renaming of the national monuments like the Gulf of America. Executive Order one hundred four seventy two. and eradicating anti Christian bias.
with Executive Order one hundred four two two. And in that particular one, since I am interested in that subject, the executive order said: the United States Constitution enshrines. Fundamental right. to religious liberty and the First Amendment. Yet the previous administration engaged in an A Gregorius.
Pattern of targeting peaceful Christians, bringing federal criminal charges. And multi-year prison sentences against nearly two dozen peaceful pro-life Christians praying outside an abortion facility. Those convicted included a Catholic priest, 75-year-old grandmother, 87-year-old woman, father of 11. They were arrested for praying and singing hymns outside of an abortion facility. And um Then Biden, and this is, again, I'm quoting, he says, Biden administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation memorandum asserted that radical traditionalist Catholics were domestic terrorism threats.
And it goes on saying: Biden administration declared Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility. And then Trump ends by saying, my administration will not tolerate anti Christian weaponization of government or unlawful conduct targeting Christians. Hmm.
Now executive orders can be reversed by The next president So if we want these things to last, Congress needs to pass a law. which obviously Trump would sign. Matt Staver with the Liberty Console. wrote in The Liberator just last week, he said executive orders should be seen as a launching pad for legislation that Congress needs to set in stone. The federal government was given a clear mandate from the American people in twenty twenty four.
Congress must ensure this mandate is not one presidential action away from erasure.
So Trump is Doing something that has never been done before, this dismantling. of this This BMO, this A monster. Uh th this Leviathan. um uh what uh previous authors have called it uh this Byzantine machine of politics, of big government, of deep state.
So it's it's a window of opportunity. We have to keep putting pressure on. We've got some rhinos Supreme Court justices. And that um don't really have backbone that want to try to continue this, but we've been funding our enemies. And funding.
Uh Hamas and all these different radical groups and Uh and then the worst Where it's coming out that lots of money going to Ukraine and other third world countries is money laundering. In other words, the corrupt dictator keeps some of the money and lives really nice, And then the rest of the money gets funneled back. to groups like the Clinton Foundation and And uh the Biden Foundation and and so that's why they want the money going because it's coming back to them and funding everything.
So, this is all coming to light. And again, this is rare. In American and world history. And It's important for us to realize that we can't go back to normal. This is the time for every single church to begin to teach the Constitution.
I have plenty of materials. I write lessons for and record videos for Turning Point Academy and other groups. Rick Green has Patriot Academy, and it's an eight-week course to teach the Constitution in your church. And people go through it and then they say, wait a second, this is what was supposed to happen, and this is what had been happening for decades. We need to do something about it.
And then you have groups that will help. There's Turning Point Faith. There's Dran Rees with her Salt and Light Coalition. There's Paul Blair with Liberty Pastors and lots of groups, but they're stepping up. Saying, pastors, we're here to help.
Just pick somebody in your church that you trust and put them in touch with us, and we'll tell them all. And all the pastor has to do is say announcement time, vacation Bible school, and youth outreach, and oh, yeah, community involvement team, see Mary's table in the lobby. And all they need is the pastor's blessings. And the answer is local, local, local. More people go to church in an area than vote in a school board race.
Uh but it's a durable thing. And I think that When we get to heaven and we're sitting around with Moses and Gideon and Esther and David, and they're all going to tell their courageous stories, and then they're all going to look at you. And say, tell us your story. I don't want to be up there and not have anything to say. I want to be able to tell them that they were.
You know, mutilating kids, and they were doing all this terrible stuff. And I said, I don't know what to do, but I'm just going to step forward. And it's not ability, it's availability. Amen to that.
Well, that's Bill Federer from American Minute. com. You know, Mark Twain once said that history does not repeat itself, but it often rhymes. And we certainly see patterns emerging here, but that's what you do. You give us your knowledge of history and you put that with a biblical world view.
Bill Federer, as always, we appreciate you being on the program. Look forward to hearing from you again soon. Oh, thank you and blessings to all the listeners.
Well, Bill Federer is a person that has a vast knowledge of historical knowledge in his head, and we're so thankful for that. Another person that I like to have on the program, and that's my good friend R. C. Merle. R.
C., welcome back to the program. It's great to be back with you, Jimmy. Yes, and you and I were just talking before we went on the air. It's the little things that we need to pay attention to that really help us to understand where we are on God's timeline, isn't it? Indeed, it is.
RC, a recent Tucker Carlson podcast with Luke Grohman, a macroeconomic analyst you sent me, featured Tucker asking why individuals and central banks are buying gold, driving the price of the metal to new highs. Yeah, Jimmy, the interview is over an hour long, or should say podcast.
So I try to break it down to key points for our listeners. One thing I have to do in the outset is to quote Tucker Carlson because it's really. Important. He says.
So it's amazing to me to watch a bunch of countries. Spending so much effort, money, and on gold at a moment where technology dominates the conversation and crypto and AI are the future. And gold is the oldest and most primitive means of exchange. I mean, cultures have been using gold around the world, every culture around the world, for at least 6,000 years as a store of value. And they still are, why?
Luke Roman answered with three simple words: because it's worked. According to that interview, it sounds like Tucker Carlson thinks the global economy has moved on from gold. It's true. It's correct. In fact, when I discuss gold with my sons, they listen respectfully, but mostly respond with statistics on the growth of the Standard and Poor's Index as being far better than gold.
But I challenge their analysis with a possible scenario. You know that feeling, Jimmy, when you get up, you get your first cup of coffee. Yeah, and you go to your computer sipping that coffee and you see a blue screen informing you that you have no internet.
So what do you do? You try other devices, nothing. You unplug your router, wait, then plug it back in. Nada. You call your provider only to be told your whole area is down and you have to wait.
Well, we've all been through that, right? Did you wonder what it would be like if that lasted days or even weeks? And then a really scary thought comes? What if my money was digital? Do I really have any money if I can't access that money?
Tucker Carlson's criticism of gold coins being awkward and antiquated goes up in smoke. Yeah, okay, RC, you have our attention now. There are four other points that you mentioned to me that I want to ask you to comment on. Why does the Trump administration want to stockpile Bitcoin? You know, that was a surprise to me.
President Trump makes no secret of his desire for a strong dollar, while at the same time bolstering it with stable coins to avoid issuing a digital dollar. In addition, the president is demanding that BRICS nations sign a document that they will not create a currency to challenge the dollar. It seems counterintuitive that if the dollar is a strong currency, why would we need to threaten nations to use it in international trade? Yes.
Why are some of the biggest nations selling U.S. Treasury bonds? Sanctioning nations using the dollar as a weapon has caused a backlash called de-dollarization. We are watching the growing group of BRICS nations now comprising almost 50% of the world. of the world's population and thirty percent of the global economy, working to establish a clearing system to trade in their own currencies and bypass the dollar.
in an effort to curb the sale of treasuries, the U. S. is stockpiling stable coins called Tether. They are pegged to the dollar and mostly backed by U. S.
Treasury to encourage nations to reconsider the selling of US Treasuries and instead purchase them and thereby own the coins along with the Treasury. I will have more on that, Jimmy, as this develops. Yes, and remember that phrase, tether, which is a coin, a stable coin that we're going to be talking about for the future because that is paving the way, I believe, for a bigger deal that's coming.
So, what do you expect to see when President Trump audits Fort Knox? Yeah, that could be a non-event or the scandal of the century.
So, we'll wait and see, although I'm pretty sure that a photo op will be the outcome. Yeah, I'm sure. And why did President Trump sign an executive order? And we talked about executive orders with Bill Federer.
So, why did the President sign an executive order to establish a sovereign wealth fund? The goal of a sovereign wealth fund is to maximize U.S. national assets, such as land, gold, stocks, which will contribute to economic stability and economic growth.
So, wealth funds are common worldwide with nations such as Norway, the United Arab Emirates, and China. using them to diversify their economies, and they use it to invest in global assets.
So although the precise funding sources remain unclear right now, the administration has suggested it could be funded through tariffs or other revenue generating measures, possibly selling government buildings, many of which appear to be empty of workers anyway. All right.
So in short, the fund is part and parcel of Trump's plan to eliminate the IRS And the income tax, and who doesn't like that? Yes, who doesn't like that? The Trump train keeps moving with a very powerful state of the union speech. But what about the global monetary system that we have talked about? Yeah, Jimmy, the first 40 days of the Trump train have been unlike any I've ever seen.
You and I have had many discussions about a new global monetary system being developed. It's uncanny that over 95 central banks are quietly at some level of digital currency, whether in research, pilot programs, or have already implemented a national digital currency while their nation's citizens vehemently denounce it. Once the danger of government surveillance through digital currency is exposed, virtually wannabe dictators are the only ones in favor of it. Yeah, but that doesn't mean the citizens will prevail, does it? No, that's correct.
We use Colossians 2.17 as a guide. The prophetic events cast a shadow before them. When God says it's time for end-time prophecy to be fulfilled, there is no world leader who will stand. Against it. We know from Revelation 13, 16, and 17 that halfway into the tribulation, a world religious leader, second in command to Antichrist, will take complete control of buying and selling via mark on the right hand or forehead.
In order for that to happen, all mediums of exchange will have to go digital. And we are seeing the stepping stones, along with the roadblocks, to fulfilling that prophecy. Yes.
RC, this is so very important. I want you to keep us informed on that. I do have one thing I want to bring up. You have a book that's coming out very soon and on an appropriate date. You know, it really we decided, Timmy, to bring the book out on the Jewish feast of Purim, which is a Jewish celebration over Haman, who in the book of Esther tried to have all the Jews of Persia, which not coincidentally is modern-day Iran, wiped out.
Haman was a descendant of Amalek, who was an illegitimate grandson of Esau. You know, I've been following that bloodline from 2011 to today. since God has sworn in Exodus seventeen, sixteen to have war with Amalek in every generation.
So this is the third edition of the book on Amalek. It's my first was in twenty fourteen, and this one is called The Search for Amalek is Over. He has been identified and we have the proof. When does that come out and how can people get it? You know, we're going to roll out.
We're doing a rollout on our website on Thursday in honor of the Jewish feast of Purim, since that's when August started. For me, and actually, I think Amazon has it up there even earlier.
So it's coming out, they possibly might have it up now. I'm not sure, but we'll do the rollout on Thursday. Yes.
Well, give us your website one more time: ProphecyTracker.org, Jimmy. Throughout the week, I would suggest that you go there and see what RC posts every single day. And it always has to do with something related to Bible prophecy and the events as he examines them in the light of God's prophetic word. RC, thank you so much for joining with us today. Gee, thank you for having me, Jimmy.
We really appreciate it. God bless you. God bless. Well, we've got to take a break. And when we come back, the Legacy Series with Dr.
Jimmy D. Young, we're starting a new Bible study series on the book of Isaiah. That's all ahead, right here on Prophecy Today weekend. Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr.
Along with my brother Rick, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, the program this week, we're kind of focusing on the state of the union, the president's speech to Congress. And, you know, it would be really good if we had a good book that people could get, wouldn't it? It certainly would. Funny that you mentioned that, Jimmy.
Good friend of ours, Dr. Rich Smith. You call him America's Pastor. He's been a good friend of our program. He wrote a book in conjunction with us based on some series that Dad did called Presidents, Politics, and Prophecy.
It's a great book. We offered it last week. We'll offer it again this week. If you call in, 423-825-6247, you can get it for a donation of any amount, or it'll be up on our bookstore if you want to go there. But we do highly recommend that book if you want to see how God uses world leaders to bring about his will.
Yes, and it takes a look at the decisions that the last eight presidents have made and how it has advanced the narrative of Bible prophecy.
Well, in the legacy series this week, we're going to begin a new study of a prophetic book in God's Word. This time, we begin a study on the book of Isaiah. This is the first of the 17 prophetic books, which are called the Major and Minor Prophets. It is the largest prophetic book with 66 chapters. Today, Dr.
DeYoung will give you some background information on one of the great ancient Jewish prophets, a prophet that Jesus confirmed in John chapter 12, verses 37 and 38, as the author of the book of Isaiah. Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and the Legacy Series. I don't know what it is, but every single time I go into another book of the Bible and start studying it, I happen to come to the realization, hey, maybe this is the most important book in the entire Bible, and why in the world haven't I studied this book before? I'm not sure how many of you have had a study on the book of Isaiah.
It's an unbelievable book. It's the book that I would refer to as the Beloved Prophecy, written by the Beloved Prophet Isaiah. An unbelievable Man of God, who was used through the ministry of the prophetic. Possibilities of what's going to happen in the future, the short-term future and the long-term future, with four kings at the time of his life when he was a prophet for some 58 years. Let's go to the book of Isaiah, if you will.
It's the first of the prophetic books. There are 17 Old Testament prophetic books, and there are a couple of books in the New Testament, one in particular, of course, the book of Revelation, which is very prophetic. The book of Jude has a great prophetic significance to it as well. And in every book of the Bible, as I've been able to determine this year, as I've done my daily devotions and then posted them on my website or sent them out by email, every book of the Bible has a prophetic passage in it. You're, I'm sure, aware of that as well.
And a number of prophetic passages in many of the books of the Bible. But Isaiah is. The first of the prophets. He has the largest. Book of prophecy of all the prophetic books, as I said just a moment ago, 66 chapters.
When you go to the book of Jeremiah, 52 chapters. When you go over to the book of Ezekiel, 48 chapters. The book of Revelation, 22 chapters.
So we're talking about an extensive prophetic passage of scripture that the Lord is using a man to communicate some unbelievable truths to us. The prophets, the 17 in the Old Testament, are divided, and this is a man-made decision between the major and the minor prophets. I don't really know how they come to that conclusion. In my opinion, all of them are major prophets as we look at the messages that they had and what they were communicating. The only way that I can determine they've decided these are the major and these are the minor prophets would be possibly by the length of their prophecy.
But again, I would like to say all 17 of the prophets are major prophets speaking to certain issues. Their time of ministry for the prophecies of all of the prophets would be divided into three areas. The exile, the Babylonian captivity, when the Jewish people were out of the land of Israel, their second dispersion, the first time they went to Egypt, second time they went into Babylon for a 70-year period of time, that would be considered the exile. And there were two prophets that prophesied during that time, and that would be Daniel and Ezekiel.
Now, it's important to understand this because you're trying to understand the times in which they were prophesying, who they were prophesying to.
So, Daniel and Ezekiel prophesied during that 70 years of captivity, both of them in the Babylonian captivity, and they were able to write their prophecies. God gave them the prophetic word to the Jewish people, and then us. As well, later down history's line with information about what's going to happen in the end times. There were three prophets that prophesied after the exile: Haggai, Zachariah, and Malachi, the last three prophets in the Old Testament. Haggai and Zachariah prophesying basically about the temple and encouraging the Jewish people who have returned from the exile to build the temple, to rebuild the temple.
Haggai, the more gruff of the prophets, in your face type of a prophet, and Zachariah, the more suave, debonair type of prophet, trying to encourage them instead of beat them over the head. And of course, Malachi is that bridge point between the Old Testament and the New Testament in a 400-year period of time.
So after the exile, Haggai, Malachi, and Zachariah. Every other prophet in the area of the prophets here in the Old Testament prophesied prior to the Babylonian captivity or prior to the exile.
Now, each of the prophets also were prophesying either to Israel or Judah. And let me explain that for you. In 1 Kings 11, after Solomon had served as king of Israel for a 40-year period of time, Jeroboam, an adversary of King Solomon, who was the leader of the tribe of Ephraim. Located in a place called Beth El, which is an active Jewish community today in the area of Judea and Samaria. Jeroboam rebelled against the fact that Rehoboam, who was Solomon's son, was going to be.
put in place as the king of all of Israel. By doing that, he then took ten of the tribes of Israel, ten of the twelve, and they went to the north of Israel to a place called Dan. And there they established the northern kingdom called Israel. When you're studying the word of God, there are three usages or three ways you see Israel used. First of all, it's the name of Jacob.
He was given a name change in Genesis chapter 32. And so when you read Israel, it may well be talking about Jacob himself. The second usage of the word Israel is for all 12 tribes, the 12 tribes of Israel, and those would be the Jewish people. And then the third way you might see Israel in the Bible is referring to the ten tribes that went into the north. Rehoboam, who was Solomon's son, who was to take over actually as king of all 12 tribes, but when Jeroboam rebelled, he only had two tribes left, Judah, which Rehoboam was a member of, and Benjamin.
And these were the two southern tribes. They would be headquartered in the city of Jerusalem. You might remember that Jeroboam put up the golden calves both at Dan and at Bethel. And the purpose for that was he wanted those 10 tribes that went to the north, the people in those tribes, to worship at those locations and not go back to the temple. Should they have gone back to the temple, then they might fall back into place and do what God actually wanted them to do.
Some of the prophecies that you read in the Old Testament would be prophesying to. Israel.
Some of them would prophesy to Judah. And this would make up the two different avenues that the prophets would be involved in as they would be involved in teaching and preaching to the people that God had put on their hearts at that point in time. The prophets were very interesting people. You read in the book of Ezekiel, we've taught Ezekiel here before, God tells Ezekiel, you're going to a hard-headed, impotent, stiff-necked, hard-hearted people. And you might be told to say something to them.
They may mock you out. It doesn't matter. You go and teach them what I have given you. I've made you a watchman. You're to hear the word from me and give it to the people.
That's going to be a similar situation as far as Isaiah is concerned. He's probably going not to be listened to by Judah for all 58 of his years, except for a couple of prophecies that would be fulfilled in the immediate future of what the prophecy, when would. Prophecy was given, and it's going to be a very interesting thing to see how the Jewish people reacted, even the kings at that point in time, the four kings of Judah, that we're going to be looking at as we study the scriptures here. We'll see also that the book, and I'm talking now about the structure of the book more than I am the prominence of the prophet himself. The structure of the book, as I said, is 66 chapters, and it's basically divided in two parts.
39 chapters would be the first part, 27 chapters, the last part. The first 39 chapters would be As you focus on the overall big picture of those prophecies in those first 39 chapters, we would be looking at a message of retribution. A message of judgment on the Jewish people. They were not living the way God wanted them to, even those who remained in Jerusalem, even those who had a responsibility with the temple. Even some of the leaders in the temple were corrupt, and so they were not living right.
So it's going to be a message of retribution. Starting in chapter 40 through chapter 66, the next 27 chapters, you will see that it is a message of restoration. We'll find out that he speaks much about the kingdom. In fact, even as he announces the judgments in chapter 1, beginning in chapter 2, he reassures the people: I'm going to judge you, I'm going to chastise you, I'm going to bring you back into line with what you ought to be doing, but I've got a promise. Promised kingdom that I'm going to send along to the Jewish people.
You'll notice that the division of the 66 books of the Bible are very similar to the divisions of the entire Bible. There's 39 books in the Old Testament. There's 27 books in the New Testament. And that is unique, but that puts To some extent, that puts a question as far as the critics of Isaiah. might be concerned as to whether there were two authors on Or even possibly, it has been suggested by some of the critics of Isaiah that there were three authors to the book.
Much of the last 27 chapters of the book of Isaiah were so profoundly prophetic that the critics Basically, Christian critics, and early in the 1800s, even up until today, would say that there are two different authors. to the book of Isaiah instead of the one author.
Now, there is external evidence that that is not the case. For example, Jewish tradition. Makes the statement that there's one author to the book of Isaiah. And the most tangible evidence we have to that would be the Dead Sea Scrolls. But the scripture itself in the New Testament.
Confirms that Isaiah was the author of the book and the only author. Go to John chapter 12 with me, if you will, just a moment. The authority is the person Jesus Christ, and He's going to give testimony that indeed the book of Isaiah was written by one person, and that would be Isaiah. The book of John, and go with me if you will, to chapter 12. 12 and let's look at verse 37.
Jesus, of course, answering and interacting with the Sadducees and the Pharisees and the non-believers at the time he was in ministry. Look at verse 37. But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him. Verse 38, that the saying of Isaiah And let me just tell you. Isaiah by name is mentioned 22 times in the New Testament.
That's more than any prophet is mentioned in the New Testament. 22 times. Here, Jesus is quoting from Isaiah. Uh Verse 38, that the saying of Isaiah the prophet Might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report, and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? That's a quote from Isaiah chapter 53, verse 1.
Mark that spot, John chapter twelve, verse thirty-seven. Mark it in your Bible because that's where we will begin our study of Isaiah next week. Please join us at that time. Dr. Jimmy De Young and the Legacy Series.
Gotta take a break when we come back. Rick and I will wrap up the program with taking a look at the book right here in Prophecy Today weekend. I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. Something stunning hit Pakistani primetime TV viewers last month. The final episode of a popular show boldly tackled the nation's struggle with false blasphemy accusations and lynch mob violence.
Floyd Brubell with the Voice of the Martyrs Canada says: It's a unique situation where this was not perpetrated by Christian groups. They weren't pastors. It seems to be from the entertainment community, recognizing that there is an issue in Pakistan and recognizing that, hey, we don't want this to be a part of our culture in Pakistan. Mob attackers are rarely held accountable, even when people have been killed. Please pray that this TV show leads Pakistanis to call on their government to stand for justice and pray that minority believers will boldly press forward with the gospel in this cultural moment.
And Iranians will celebrate the Persian New Year this month along with its themes of rebirth, purity, and light. Do those sound familiar? Denise Godwin and the team at International Media Ministries think so. Through filming the story of Esther from a Persian perspective, they hope to point Iranians to the true king of light and life, Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve God and serve the Iranians in this way, though we are finding there's a lot of spiritual conflict on the journey.
Observance of Ramadan this month adds spiritual weight to Iranian ministry. Pray that Muslims seeking to hear from Allah would find God's truth in the gospel.
Meanwhile, the story of Esther is central to another March celebration, Purim, the Jewish festival commemorating deliverance from Haman. Pray for Jewish communities. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of one-way ministries. We're listeners supported by people just like you.
So, by giving to Mission Network News, you enable us to keep the stories of God's kingdom coming.
And together, the Great Commission happens. Look for links at missionnews.org. I'm Ruth Kramer. Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr.
Along with Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, So here's what we know. We do know that Revelation 17:17 says that God will use world leaders to accomplish his will. We do know that. We do know that, as our guys spoke today, that we are looking at events that are taking place that include.
A world leader who's taking Really, the bull by the horns. He's moving ahead quickly. A weak Europe and Russia, who is also now in the mix. When we look at Israel, we look at things that are happening there. Always, we keep our eyes on the Jewish people.
And then, as we look back into world history or the U.S. history and then forward, we're seeing how there are executive orders that are being put down that seem on the level to be following God's plan. Plan or being God-honoring. And I think that we, as we open up the program, we talked about that the first truth is that the will of God permeates and supersedes every aspect of life.
So as you look at this, Rick. Let's just talk about what Where are we in the light of the end times?
Well, Jimmy, that's what we talk about on this program all the time. Looking at current events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Now, there's always been that correlation. You've always seen kind of things moving in specific directions. But of course, you know, the rapture hasn't happened. We're still here.
So the stage is still being set. This end time scenario has not began yet. But you look at the way that all these things are falling together. And in order to do this, we're following politics. We're looking at President Trump, him coming into office, all the things that he's doing, both on a local level, because we are concerned citizens and we are supposed to be.
It doesn't supersede our life as a Christian, but it certainly is. We are certainly to be involved, to be conscientious citizens, to vote the way we believe in the closest possible way would. Reflect our Christian worldview. You know, so as we look at these politics, we don't want to get so immersed in them that we forget, again, our priority as Christians. But we look at these politics, and boy, I mean, everything is just lining up from Russia and China, Iran, which is Persia from Ezekiel 38, and the European Union.
And certainly it looks like they're, maybe very slowly, but being looked, looks like they're being awakened out of their slumber and finding a need to become a rearm themselves, as they say, become a military power, which again fits right into what God says is going to take place.
So we're following these politics. We're looking at these politics not necessarily as concerned citizens and also as a sign of where we are in God's end time scenario, God's timeline of events. Yes, and when you do that, you know, we do realize that God. God's will takes precedence over everything and everyone. And I like what you said.
You know, let's not let the government do our job. I think one of the things that, as we talked to each of our broadcast partners off the air before we went on, You know, we were talking about looking at the little things. It's the little things that we look at, decisions that are being made, executive orders that are being, you know, put implemented.
So sometimes those are good, and we keep our eyes on them. And, you know, it does help us. Like you say, we do understand where we are on God's timetable. But then at the same time, I think the danger is that we start to think of, you know, there's a leader that's in place that is looking. To himself as establishing so much and accomplishing so much.
And we are reminded that in Daniel chapter 2, it's the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes. And we do see that no matter which leader is in charge. And when you look at the book of Daniel, we do see an example of Nebuchadnezzar, who was a very proud man that God brought down and humbled.
So, as we look at this, we need to realize that, second, government is not the remedy for all our social ills. We are not saved through politics. Only God can save, and He provides the answer to society's problems. Certainly does, Jimmy. And I'm reminded of a message that my pastor gave.
I can't remember if it was 2020 in that momentous election or this most recent one, but he said, by all means, vote. And he talked about all the different reasons of things that we should base our vote on. And he said, by all means, vote. And it doesn't matter whether you vote as a Democrat, whether you vote as a Republican, do what you feel is right and most reflects your Christian worldview.
Now, we could have all kinds of topics on that conversation, but what he mainly said was, listen, do what you need to do, but that's not going to save you. That is not what we are here to be. We are not here to be Republicans. We are not here to be acolytes for Donald Trump, even though we do feel, and you could, it's reflected on this program, that he's done quite a few good things, especially for the nation of Israel. And we certainly appreciate that based on how we look at Israel and its kind of.
And its role that it's going to play in the end time. But, you know, that is not what we're supposed to do. We need to make sure that we are keeping our focus on the main thing. As Dad always used to say, keep the main thing, the main thing. The main thing is the good news of the gospel of saving grace of Jesus Christ and the fact that we, as students of Bible prophecy, understand what is going to happen in the future and where we are, and that that rapture could take place at any time.
Yes, the government has its purpose, and so does the church. And our primary mission lies not in changing the nation through political reform, but in changing hearts through the Word of God. Rick, thank you so much for doing the hard work today on the program. We do this to keep the body of Christ educated. We edify the body of Christ through our program.
We try to keep people aware of where we are in the end times and how close that we are. And, you know, as we look at these events, Event, we do know that the rapture of the church can be very close, and that's what we need to keep our eyes on, right, Rick? Absolutely, Jimmy. Folks, with the things that we have seen, and we again emphasize this so heartily to you, make sure you find out what God wants you to do and do it. Be busy about the Lord's work, not for man, but for God, and keep in mind eternity.
Keep eternity's value in view. With all that we have seen. The rapture of the church cannot be far away. Let's keep looking up. Until Thank you so much for joining us today.
This is Jay Johnson, inviting you to join us again next week for more of Prophecy Today.
