Graham brings a message about the one thing that will save you when Christ returns.
Now here's Dr. Graham with his message. Ghost Riders in the Sky I ask you to take your Bibles and turn with me to Revelation chapter 6. In the tribulation period, there are 21 different judgments. upon unrepentant humanity.
13 chapters. of wrath. God is judging the earth and purging the earth of sin and all of the consequences of sin. All the damage that sin is doing in the lives of people, God is going to deal with it. And God is just, and His mercies.
And judgments are just as well.
So these judgments, please don't view them as random acts of violence. Or The vengeful wrath of a capricious God. No. The wrath of God The outpouring of these judgment are divinely appointed And they culminate with the coming of Jesus at the end of the age to establish a new heavens and a new earth because Jesus is ultimately the judge. The one who saves.
is the one who will judge the whole earth. Acts 17, 31. Because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed. That one is the Lord Jesus Christ. And we're seeing all of this take place in our own generation.
Think about what has happened in, say, the last decade or so, the last 30 years, that really has changed the world. For one, the computer age has dawned. And we now are connected globally. The technology that is now in the world, and how we thank God for the technology to be able to proclaim the gospel of Christ. But with the information age, there is now, at the click of a button, anything in the world that you want to know from news and and views and otherwise.
And then, of course, the rise of militant Islam has emerged on the world scene and radical. Islamic terrorism is the most fanatical and fearful force on earth today. Demonized Religion. Is on the prow. The Russian bear is also coming out of hibernation.
and our own generation. And All of this was promised, predicted, prophesied thousands of years ago, and it unfolds in the book of Revelation. With all of these judgments in what is known as the great. tribulation. And with these series of judgments that are to follow.
The judgment will be full. And it will be final. Right now, thank God. There is time to do it. to repent.
God has given us time. Two. Prepare. and to invite others to know Christ. God has given us a day.
of opportunity. And we're praying and asking God to stay the hand of judgment. There's a sense in which judgment is already upon the earth. Sin is a judgment in and of itself. And all God has to do is take his hand off of us, and judgment will follow.
What we're about to see in the Revelation is more than God just taking his hand away or taking his hand off, it's actually putting his hand on. and the judgment that is to follow. But I want to say at the outset Of all of these judgments that are to come, that there is hope. And there is a promise. To all who will believe and trust in the one who is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
In fact, at the end of the Revelation, Revelation chapter 22, after all these judgments, it invites people to come to Christ. Who, the Spirit and the bride say, come. And whosoever will, let him come and take of the water of life freely. Anyone who wants to be saved, anyone who desires to be saved, can come and find life in Christ and escape the wrath to come. We are resisting evil.
We are to fight the good fight of faith. We're to be lights in the darkness. But there is coming a time. When God will say, enough. Because God who is holy Will not tolerate unrepentant sin.
There's coming a day when God will put an end to sin. I know that there are some that deny that God is going to judge anything or anybody. That anything goes. That everything goes. Do whatever you want to do.
Because in the end, God loves you. And he will never judge you. There is no hell. There is no wrath. They say.
But the fact is, the Bible clearly tells us the opposite. That there is a day of wrath coming. There is a day of judgment. It is appointed unto man once to die. And then the judgment denying it.
Does not make it go away. In the book of Revelation, we see three distinct series of future judgments: seven seals. that are opened Seven trumpets. that sound forth judgments. and seven bowls or vials.
that pour out Judgment on the world. And as I said, All of these judgments take place during The tribulation period. After the rapture of the church. The release of God's wrath comes upon the earth, and ultimately, at the end of the seven years of tribulation, Jesus will come and make all things new, and that's where we're headed.
So there are four seals opened in the passage before us today in the first eight verses. When the first seal is open, John sees the infamous four horsemen of the apocalypse, these ghost riders in the sky. Look at verses 1 and 2.
Now, I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals. Remember, the Lamb and the Lamb only. is worthy to rule and redeem.
So he opens the seals and sets in motion. History. And I heard one of the four living creatures, these celestial beings around the throne of God, representing God Himself, say with a voice like thunder, it's ominous, it's thunderous, a storm is on the way. Come. And I looked.
And behold, a white horse. And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out. conquering and to conquer. What is this white horse, and who is this rider? The first horse, the first rider represents.
Deception. These horses all represent forces that will be unleashed upon the world. And the first rider is on this white horse, and God commands him to go. Notice That while hell is being unleashed upon the earth. Satan is not in charge, but God is in charge.
God allows evil to exist. For a time. And God is in charge and in command of all the events on earth. And while it seems like it will be spinning out of control, as a matter of fact, God is calling the shots. What happens after the rapture in the great tribulation is under the divine sovereign hand of the Almighty.
So, who is this writer? He represents. Deception. Lies. and slanders.
and false Christ. and false messiahs that are to come. that are alive in every generation. and the spirit of the Antichrist. which is present in every generation of believers.
But ultimately, this white horse represents the ultimate deceiver. Who is the Antichrist? You might look at this verse and be confused as to the white horse and the white. The one riding the white horse with a crown and a bow, thinking, well, this must be Jesus. This is Jesus writing.
This horse. No, not at all. It's impossible for it to be Jesus because Jesus is unveiling the action. He's opening the seals. This horse does not represent Jesus.
This white horse, one going forth to conquer. Is not Jesus. Jesus is seen in Revelation chapter 19, not wearing a Stephanos. Crown as this writer, but the diadem of King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The rider of the white horse on the stallion in Revelation 19 is Jesus when he returns.
But this writer Is someone altogether different. In fact, he is the anti. Christ. The prefix anti means instead of. or against.
Anti, against, or anti instead of.
So the writer The deceiver who comes is none other Than the Antichrist. The false Messiah who will be revealed at the beginning of the tribulation. He could be alive. Right now. Because at the beginning of the tribulation, he will appear and rise to power with.
with promises of peace. And with all the turmoil and the turbulence in the Middle East and in the world today, the world is. looking for leadership.
Someone to stand up. to evil forces and to bring peace to the world.
Well, when this one comes to power. He will be empowered. by Satan himself. and he will unite nations and governments under his leadership because people will believe his lies. You're listening to PowerPoint with Jack Graham and the message.

Now, let's get back to today's message. Ghostwriters in the Sky. If the first horse, the white horse, with its writer represents Deception. Then the second horse represents destruction. Revelation 6, 3 and 4.
When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come. And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword. Red, of course, is associated with terror. And blood.
and carnage. And war. Jesus spoke of this. In Matthew 24. And Jesus said in verse 6 of Matthew 24, and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.
And see that you're not alarmed. For this must take place. But the end. is not yet.
Now, if you You are awake. In our generation, I know you are. You know global war is not just possible. But probable. The proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
It's terrifying. Biological and nuclear armaments are ready at this time to be released. And in history, we know that when weapons are made, they're made to be used. They ultimately are used. And in this sense, When you wonder who's going to push that red button to set off a nuclear warfare, global warfare.
Warfare The Antichrist will use nuclear weapons. He will use them. And global war. Such as the world has never seen will take place. And thus the third horse comes riding in.
Black horse. We're going to call this the horse of desolation or a time of desolation. We've seen deception, the Antichrist. With the Antichrist, who promises peace, peace, peace, he gains power, and then he turns the world into a battleground, a warfare of all kinds. And the red horse comes riding in.
And after that, the third seal of judgment is broken. And there is a black horse scene, verses 5 and 6. And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come, and behold, I looked and a black horse. And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures all around the throne of God.
In other words, it seemed to come from God Himself. A quart of wheat for a denarius and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and the wine. What is this strange mystical saying that comes from the midst of the throne of God? The third horseman is the horseman of famine. and starvation.
and desolation. With war, typically comes famine.
So when global war and nuclear warfare Explodes upon the earth. When this horse rides, it will be the horse of desolation. And the voice said, A denarius. We'll buy a loaf of bread. A denarius.
Typically, it amounted to about a day's pay for a common laborer in the time of Christ.
So, when this desolation sets in. It will take a man working all day to buy a loaf of bread.
So the poor will get poorer. But the rich get richer. He says, Do not harm the oil and wine. The Antichrist and his henchmen and his war machine, they get richer and richer, while the poor get poorer and poorer. Have you noticed the growing disparity in the world today, even in our nation today, between the haves and the have-nots?
It will be devastation. There are now seven billion people on earth, seven billion. When Jesus takes us away into heaven, believers. from around the world. There will be millions missing.
We don't know how many will be gone, let's say a billion people. But billions will be left. And can you imagine the effect of worldwide famine and starvation upon? Billions. of people.
Famine, poverty, starvation are a devastating problem already in the world. I mean, we've all seen on television starvation, little children dying. Their bodies bloated with starvation. We've seen some of this, but most of us. Including myself, have never seen the results of massive malnutrition.
and starvation that's in the world today. The good news is that many from around the world in various Say the Hindu people who live in the Caste system who live in cardboard boxes and they have no hope. They're turning to Jesus Christ. because their religion has failed them. In Iran.
The Muslim religion is a failure. And many Muslims recognize the failure of their religious system and they're turning to Jesus. Massive numbers. More people are coming to Jesus in Iran and other places in the Middle East, out of the Muslim world and territories than ever before. We thank God for that.
But now the world Is that our doorstep? Our neighbors. People are leaving their countries, many and coming to this country. They're not only in the nations, but they're in our neighborhoods. Have you shared Christ with your Muslim neighbor?
Have you invited your Hindu neighbor to know Jesus or to your church? Have you walked across the street? May God break our hearts because those without Christ are facing a certain judgment. And deprivation and desolation will follow. There's a fourth horseman who rides.
And he represents death. You would expect that, right? With starvation and famine and desolation and war. and dangerous, deadly. World governments united.
Under an Antichrist, you would expect death to follow.
So, in verses 7 and 8, when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come. And I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And its writer's name was death, and Hades followed him. Hell was on his hoofbeats. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth to kill with the sword and with famine and with pestilence, that is diseases, deadly diseases, and by the wild beast of the earth.
You know, one of the greatest plagues, death plagues that the world has ever known, came as a result of a little beast. known as a rat. And with all the death and the disease. that will follow. Of course, people are going to die.
This is the Ashen horse. It calls him. A pale horse here. And this last horse This sickly horse. Brings judgment to one-fourth of humanity.
Death and hell follow. Death and Hades follow. Listen to me. does not end just. Judgment.
Death and hell follow. Later in this same chapter 6 of Revelation, we'll see men crying out for the mountains to fall on them, than to hide themselves in the rocks, hoping just to end it all in this great tribulation. Rather than running to the rock of salvation, they run to the rocks. pray for. Death.
But you can't hide from God. You can't run from the judgment. Because judgment is eternal.
Now Take a deep breath. Remember in all of this. Though it's A lot of judgment, judgment, and wrath. That these judgments are just. He is faithful and true.
Sin produces suffering. Sin produces consequences. Sin produces Judgments. And when we read the Revelation. We should read it.
with broken hearts. For our family members and friends who do not yet know Jesus. They're standing on the brink. of a tribulation like the world has never seen. Prophecy.
Should not be just a fun magic carpet ride into the future. But it should be a call. To the command of Jesus to fulfill the ministry and the message. The mission of Christ to take the gospel to the world. are urgent times.
Amen? The urgency and the emergency of our times. Call us as never before. To tell our family members and our friends. Our loved ones, our neighbors.
God is holding back right now. But one day his full and final judgments will come, and when the dam of God's mercy is broken, all hell is going to break loose. The good news is you can be saved from the wrath to come. First Thessalonians 5:9, for God has not. destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation.

So, in Jesus and in Jesus alone, you can be saved. and you can be safe when the day of judgment comes. Pray a simple prayer. Right now, wherever you are. and invite Christ into your life.
Jesus said, I stand at the door and knock, and if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in. Open the door of your life, your heart, to Christ right now. The Bible says whoever calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus will be. be saved. And if you are saved, if you're a believer, or Or, if you're becoming a believer today, get in a good, Jesus-exalting, Bible-teaching church where you can grow in your faith.
so that you can get around other believers and be encouraged, and so that you can serve. and make a difference in the world. for the glory of God. I pray that there are many people listening to me right now, today, who will take this most significant, important, eternal step in your life right now.
