Welcome to PowerPoint with Jack Graham. This is the golden reign of Christ, the golden reign of peace. It is that time when Christ will rule and reign forever and ever and ever. We will be with him. On today's PowerPoint, Dr.
Graham brings a message about the most dramatic moment in all of human history.
Now here's Dr. Graham with his message. A fantastic finish. As we move towards the climax of human history, There will be an incredible Finish. As Christ comes again.
in great power. and glory.
Now if you're a sports fan, as I am, you like great finishes, especially great comebacks. I remember well the 1986 World Series. I was involved because my good friend Gary Carter was the catcher for the New York Mets. And they were in the World Series against The beloved Boston Red Sox. It was the sixth game.
The Red Sox apparently had won the game. Bottom of the ninth, two men were out. In fact, at Shea Stadium, the home of the Mets, they had already announced on the scoreboard. Written for everyone to see. Congratulations.
World champions, Boston Red Sox. Coming to the bat with two outs in the bottom of the ninth was my friend Gary Carter.
So sure enough, Gary Carter gets a base hit. Still two outs, another base hit. And then another base hit, a run scores. And then the famous dribbling ground ball that went through the legs. of Boston first baseman Bill Butler.
And when it happened, everyone stood in amazement as the winning run came home for the Mets. It was one of the greatest comebacks in World Series history. Though they were down in the final game, the seventh game, they came back again. and won the World Series. But of course, none of these fantastic finishes in the sports world compare to the fantastic finish that I want to talk to you about.
It is the comeback of Christ. It is the glorious return. Of the Lord Jesus Christ, the most dramatic Finish of all. The second coming is the most anticipated event in human history. In fact, there is a type.
Known by newspaper publishers, that is called the second coming type. It is reserved for extreme events. It was used, for example, in 1963 when President Kennedy was assassinated. It was used on September the 11th when America was attacked. It is newspaper print that signifies the most important.
of world events. and it's called Second Command. Coming. Type. The world recognizes that the prospects of the return of Jesus Christ.
Triumphing over sin. Satan Eradicating evil is indeed the most powerful event in human history. It's amazing to me. that we don't hear in our pulpits today more about the second coming of Christ because the Bible is full of it. The New Testament alone contains 318 references to the second coming of Christ.
265 chapters in the New Testament. Not to speak of the Old Testament prophecies, but 265 of the... Chapters of the New Testament contain references To the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Billy Graham was playing golf down in. Palm Beach with President-elect Kennedy.
Uh in 1960. President-elect Kennedy asked Billy Graham if he believed in the second coming of Christ. And the great evangelist began to explain. to John Kennedy about the return of Christ and indeed that Christ is coming again. To which Mr.
Kennedy said, well then why don't we hear more about it? in our churches. We need to know more, hear more, speak more. of the return of Christ because it is the blessed hope of every believer. And as we think about our future, as we live forward today, it makes a difference in the way we live now and forever because Christ is coming again.
So look with me in your Bibles in Revelation chapter 19. Verse 11.
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And he who sat on him was called faithful and true. And in righteousness he judges and makes war. And his eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns. And he had a name written that no one knew except himself.
And he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. Of God. And the armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed him on white horses.
Now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword. that with it he should strike the nations. and he himself will rule them. with a rod of iron. He himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath.
of Almighty God. and he has on his robe. and on his thigh. My name written. And let's say it together.
King of kings and lord of lords. History is moving towards A conclusion. And the Bible tells us. That Times will move forward, but will not get better and better as some have predicted. But rather things will get increasingly darker.
And We will become as a society Filled With the darkness I'm Satan.
Now I need to remind you That Jesus is coming, but before he comes, there will be a time of great tribulation on the earth. And during that tribulation, The judgment will fall upon the earth. But a final judgment is coming. And what we see in this passage of Scripture is this second coming. coming of Christ.
The conqueror Returns. He comes as a conqueror. King of kings. And Lord of Lords. This is the main event in history.
John said, I saw heaven. Opened. This is the second time that heaven is open. And this time... Christ is descending.
The first time the believer is ascending. The second time when heaven is opened in this case, the Lord himself is descending. The rapture and the return of Christ are not the same events. At the rapture, Christ is coming. For his church.
And when Christ comes for his church, we are then taken into his presence, and there we will rejoice with him. We will be rewarded at the Bama seat of Christ, and then great tribulation will come upon the earth. Seven years. of tragic and terrible Tribulation. And at the end of that period, Christ will come with his church, just as described in this passage of scripture, when he comes with.
Great glory and power with the armies of heaven. At the rapture, Jesus comes as a thief in the night. almost secretly and privately to catch us away, to snatch us away. But at the return as we read it here in Revelation chapter 19. He comes.
Publicly. And gloriously. as king of kings and lord of lords. Just before his death His disciples ask him about the coming of the kingdom to the earth. And Jesus spoke of that extraordinary moment that we just read about.
in the book of Revelation. He gave us the words of Matthew 24, 27 to 31. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, So also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall down from heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven. And then all the tribes of the earth will mourn. And they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a great sound of trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other. This is the hope.
of the world. without him, without this hope. of his promised return. There is no chance for a better future. But with him, we have a hope.
and a future. He is returning personally. He is returning literally. He is returning visibly. He is returning powerfully, suddenly, dramatically, gloriously in the clouds.
He is coming according to the scripture in Matthew 16, 27, in the glory of the Father. He's coming as we just read in Matthew 24 with great glory and power. According to Matthew 24, he's coming with angels. As we've just read in Revelation 19, he is coming with armies. He is coming with his church because Colossians 3:4 says, We will appear with him in glory.
He's coming, according to verse 6 of Revelation 19, in triumph. conquering king, lord of life, and lord of all. This same Jesus, which was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you've seen him go. And when he comes, we see his character because he has a name which is faithful and true. That means that he always, always keeps his promises.
But we also see his clothing. For the scripture says in verse 13 that he was clothed with a robe, dipped in blood. And his name is called the Word of God. Why is his robe dipped in blood?
Some Bible scholars suggest it is because he comes To make war upon the Antichrist, and judgment is to follow upon the earth, and thus the blood. But I believe that his vesture, his clothing, is dipped in blood. Because it is an eternal reminder. of the blood that was poured out for us on the cross. Christ took our place.
On the cross, we wear his robe of righteousness, and he wears the bloody robe of salvation. Christ comes with His church beloved. And the blood of the cross staining His vesture forever and ever. We will never forget in heaven. What Christ has done.
For us.
So we see his clothing. We see... His character. When he comes, we We see his crowns, but we also see his church when he comes. Because riding with him on that white horse.
We are told that the armies of heaven in verse 14, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed him. on these white horses. His bride is with him, the beloved. And the church transformed is now the church triumphant. We move from the wedding and the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Two The war. That is taking place on earth. We will be with him. Now, I want you just to stop and think about that for just a moment. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you have received him, if you know him, If your future is secure in Him. If you have shared his grace, you will share his glory. You will be present and accounted for on this day. You will be riding with him. You will be experiencing it with him, his great glory.
What does the scripture say? In heaven. We will be like him. For we will see him as he is. Our destiny.
is Determined. The conqueror. Returns. Jesus. comes back.

Now let's get back to today's message. A fantastic finish. But then we see in this passage something else, and that is that the conqueror Rules. Beginning at verse 14, the armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed him on white horses. And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword that with it he should strike the nations.
He himself will rule them with a rod. Of iron, and he himself treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God. In his mouth. is a sword. And with this sword, he strikes down.
The nations that have forgotten God. He strikes down those who have rejected his love. Jesus is now seen as judge. King of kings, Lord of lords, and now judge of all the earth, executing God's wrath.
Now, I don't want you to ever forget. That Jesus loves you. That God loves you. That he paid the ultimate price on the cross so that you Could spend eternity with him. but to reject his love.
To walk away from his grace, never to respond, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? 2 Thessalonians 1, verse 8 says that he comes in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who do not know. God and those who do not obey the gospel. of our Lord Jesus Christ. We cry out.
for justice in our own generation. We cry out for truth. And in that day, justice will be served. completely And finally. And this judgment...
will take place. on the earth. Not only does he come With Great rebuke to rule. But The conqueror. restores.
He restores in the sense that his kingdom on the earth. is now established. There is first a great battle. A great war. It happens on the plains of Megiddo.
The Valley of Jezreel. for the final world battle. is fought. is called Armageddon. Napoleon called it the world's Most perfect.
Battlefield. But before the battle begins. Christ comes riding. upon his horse and with the word of his mouth with just a word The battle is over. The sword of his mouth.
He speaks. And the battle will be done.
Now The Antichrist and the false prophet, we're told. Are delivered into hell. If you read the Subsequent verses here. you will discover that The Antichrist. and his henchmen from hell.
will be delivered alive. into the place Called hell. That's verse 20. While it is not popular, It's politically incorrect, perhaps.
Some circles even spiritually incorrect. To speak of hell, we have given hell a makeover in our culture. A kinder and gentler hell. But hell is not annihilation. Hell is not.
No longer existing. But cast alive into the lake of fire. And ultimately, Uh Who have not believed will follow. You know, hell was never made for a human being, it was made for the devil and his angels. But if you choose Against Christ, or if you choose not to receive Christ, you will face.
A fearsome future. Hebrews 10, 31 says, Is it a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. And I have to wonder: if there was more preaching on hell in our pulpits today, would there be less hell in our streets? Yes, there will be everlasting fire. And judgment.
But then His kingdom comes. And in Revelation 20, the first several verses, we're told of this glorious kingdom that is established. on the earth. The thousand-year reign of Christ and what follows is the eternal kingdom of God. What is this?
This is the golden. reign of Christ, the golden reign of peace. It is that utopia that mankind philosophers have dreamed about. It is that time when Christ will rule and reign forever and ever and ever. It is that day that we desire, that day that we have dreamed about.
that day of perfect peace and Paradise. And we will be with him. God is on the throne of this universe. When I read the book of Revelation, I read what you read. I read the fantastic finish.
And the finish is this. We win. If you just want to summarize The book of Revelation. In fact, if you want to summarize the Bible, In Christ. We Win Now in the meantime Our Lord has given us authority to preach the gospel, to expand his kingdom on earth through his church.
And there is so much to be done in terms of our calling and the compelling witness. Of every believer in light of the return of Christ, we know that we're to evangelize. We want to take as many people with us to heaven as possible. We know that we're to influence our culture as salt and light. We know that we are to speak out as the voice of Christ.
in the dark days of our time. We speak with the power And the moral authority of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus. This is what God has called us to do. is to change Believed. and we must never drop out of the debate.
We must always be there to speak the word of God, to declare moral clarity in the terms of injustice and immorality in our culture. And we must never bail out. just because it gets tough and just because we think we might not win. We must stay in this battle till Jesus comes. And I can just say that The church is never to be living in a hermetically sealed environment.
We must remain obedient. and vigilant, even though we don't know when the end comes. We look around us and we think we're losing the battle. But friend, we're not losing. We're not losing.
We are winning in Jesus' name. And we are to fulfill his mission on earth until he calls us home. We must decide between comfortable pews. And move to commitment and to pay the price, to do whatever it takes. for the sake of our children, for the sake of our grandchildren.
We must be willing to speak out against what is morally wrong, even if it is politically incomprehensible. Correct. And we must never be neutral. We are to declare the word of God. to the great issues and evils of our times.
So there's much to be done, isn't there? I believe with all of my heart. That we will be with him soon. But until that day. Keep fighting the good fight.
Stay in the battle. Do what God has called you to do as His servant. When he comes in all of his glory, we will share in his victory. That's why we sing. Victory.

Pastor, what is your PowerPoint for today? As prophecy is fulfilled, things will get worse and worse on earth, and you can count on the fact that Satan will begin moving with even more determination as his time grows shorter. But, There is hope for the future. We can look forward to the glorious return of Jesus when He comes back in victory, power, and Eternal praise. And on that day, All will know, both believers as well as non-believers, that He is Lord, that He is supreme, and that He is King.
so let me remind you of what we'll see when he returns in glory from to day's message. his character, there will be no more discussion or debate of who he is. The truth of his faithfulness will be revealed to all. His crowns and coronation that is, all will know that He is King of kings and Lord of Lords. His clothing well, He will be dressed in a blood soaked cloak as a reminder of His ultimate sacrifice on the cross for us.
and His church, the members of the body of Christ, will triumphantly stand in His presence and share in His glory. You know, in the end, it doesn't matter how much education you have, how much money you've made, or how many possessions you have. All that matters is whether or not you choose to make Jesus the Lord and Saviour of your life. You can escape the coming judgment if you will receive His forgiveness and put your faith and trust in Him. If you'd like to receive God's grace and forgiveness today, then respond by praying this prayer.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift of eternal life. I receive your love and your grace in my life today. I believe you died on the cross and rose again, and I do trust you as my Lord and my Savior. Thank you for hearing my prayer, coming into my life, and being my God, my Savior, my Master, and Friend. My friend, please don't wait another day.
