You know, this is a time of the year that we're busy giving and receiving gifts, but what a tragedy it would be. to go throughout this Christmas season. Without receiving the greatest gift of all, the gift that God gave us.
the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Welcome to Pathway to Victory with author and pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress. At First Baptist Dallas, we believe that Christmas really is a big deal. And every year, we put forward our very best talents to celebrate the magnificent birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Today on Pathway to Victory, we're going to enjoy a majestic music performance from the First Baptist Choir and Orchestra. But first, let's take a minute to hear some important ministry updates. Thanks, David. It's Christmas Eve, and we're delighted you joined us for today's festive edition of Pathway to Victory. Hundreds of years before the baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the prophet Isaiah made an astounding prediction.
In Isaiah chapter 9, we read this amazing prophecy. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us, and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Well, today we're setting aside the entire program to celebrate this declaration in music. What you're about to hear is a masterful performance by the First Baptist Dallas Choir and Orchestra. First, it's critically important to remind you that time is running out to request your copy of the 2026 Pathway to Victory Daily Devotional. Oh, come on, ye faithful, joyful and triumphant. Oh, come ye, oh come ye to behold him, born the king of angels. Oh, come, let us adore him. Oh, come, let us adore him. Oh, come, let us adore in Christ the Lord.
Oh, Yasal Great Church, yea, Lord, we greet thee, yea, Lord, we greet thee, born this happy morning, Jesus to thee. Be all glory. Word of the Father, now in flesh of hearing. Oh, come, let us adore him. Oh, come, let us adore him.
Oh, come, let us adore him. Christ the Lord. We'll give him all the glory. We'll give him all the glory. We'll give him all the glory.
We'll give him all the glory. For he alone is earthly in Christ the Lord. Sing, angels we have heard on high. Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing o'er the plains, and the mountains in reply, Echo back their joyous rings. Where the Lord is gone, let us receive praise and let every heart repair it ruin and heaven and nature sing and heaven and nature sing and heaven and heaven and praise earth sing sing joy sing joy sing joy It truly was.
A holy night. That night when Christ was born, not just because a baby was born. There were many babies born that night in Israel. But this baby was special. He was God in the flesh, God with us, Emmanuel.
The Son of God came to earth to live a perfect life. To die an excruciating death on a cross, all to give us the gift we all need the most. The gift of God's forgiveness. That's why Christ came. Jesus explained his coming this way.
He said, For God so loved the world. For God so loved you and me That he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in, trusts in, clings to him. shall not perish. but have eternal life. You know, this is a time of the year that we're busy giving and receiving gifts, but what a tragedy it would be.
To go throughout this Christmas season. Without receiving the greatest gift of all, the gift that God gave us. The gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. I don't think it's an accident that you're tuned into this broadcast. God is extending to you.
His gift of forgiveness. You see, the Bible says we've all sinned. I have, you have. We all deserve God's punishment. But God offered a way of escape, an assurance of heaven when we die.
If we will simply believe that Jesus died for us. and trust in what He did for us. To cleanse us of our sins, we can have that abundant eternal life that begins now. transcends death and lasts throughout eternity. If you would like to receive God's unconditional forgiveness in your life, I want to invite you to pray this prayer in your heart to God.
Knowing that God is listening to you right now. Would you pray this with me? Dear God, Thank you for loving me. I know I have failed you in so many ways. and I'm truly sorry for the sins in my life.
But I believe what I've heard tonight. That you love me so much you sent your son Jesus. to die on the cross for me. to take the punishment that I deserve to take for my sins. And right now.
I'm trusting in what Jesus did for me. not in my good works, but in what Jesus did for me. to save me from my sins. Thank you for forgiving me. and help me to live the rest of my life for you.
In Jesus' name. Amen. Um Lord, most holy, Lord, most holy. We worship and adore you, O holy child of heaven. O God, in foreign name, one with the Holy Spirit and with the Father, we lift our songs of praise to thee.
The redeeming Lord has set us free. Victorious over sing and he will reign. Is the heavenly The Son of God, our both our great songs of praise to me that set us free as we will of praise eternally. Christ is horrible. Christ is warmly alone.
We are myself. We long for shares and glory to praise you. Christ get home. Christ is warm. I am deeply grateful for the First Baptist Dallas Choir and Orchestra and the hundreds of volunteers who made this Dallas Christmas spectacular possible.
