Tomorrow I've got a debate I'll be in tomorrow night. I think it's 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Be debating on the doctrine of the Trinity. And uh I'll put more notes and stuff up about that tomorrow when I get more, you know, when I get the URL and stuff like that.

We can see how it goes. I've debated the Trinity so many times, and some of the arguments I've heard against the Trinity are just not that good. And I'm always bewildered sometimes why people just not accept the doctrine of the Trinity. When they believe the Bible, so to speak, the Bible is inspired, and they have this view of Unitarianism. That I find problematic.

Oh, I've gotta yawn. Oh, sorry about that. Ooh, a good yawn, though. And uh So I've had so many discussions with people. And You know I've said this in debates so many times, so so often.

I said to them, Look, the Trinity is not established or you know, proven or disproven by a single verse. And that it's arrived at systematically. And I ask people: do you know? this systematic approach used to arrive at the Trinity. And they just routinely don't know.

Routinely. And Then I'll ask them varying questions about what it means, what it is, and so few people understand it.

Now, occasionally, people will understand it, and they'll accurately represent it. And then their logic that they use is fallacious. In my opinion, what they do is submit God's word to. To an ideology, as if the Trinity is not true, because logically speaking, Without the Trinity, you can't make sense of anything because the Trinity has the issue of the one and the many solved with universals and particulars and various things. We'll get into all that right now.

It's just one of those things that the Trinity makes sense. It really does. And then people will say there's no analogy for the Trinity, and therefore the Trinity is not true because there's no analogy. How do you represent it? They'll say it's a contradiction in terms.

all kinds of things and I find discussions about those things rather interesting. particularly when people don't understand the logic That they're using sometimes they just make a lot of mistakes. Anyway, there you go.

So, uh If you want to give me a call, you can 877-207-2276. And I want to hear if you want me to give me a call. Let's, since we have nobody waiting, let me check right now. Nobody waiting, uh, give me a call. Uh.

Let's get to some of the questions. Let's see. Is the angel in Daniel 10.13 the pre-incarnate Christ? Uh no, it's not. Micha it's Michael.

So let's go to this. Daniel 10.13. Um But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days. Then, behold, Michael, one of the chief priests, came to help me, for I had been there for the left the kings.

So, um Yeah, that's right. That's right.

So, no, it's not Uh the angel, no. Because of no. If it was pre-incarnate Christ, God in flesh, it wouldn't need any help from an angel. For one thing. And so no, that's not that.

So why was the Prince of Persia able to withstand it for twenty one days? Because there's powerful demonic activities going on. There's a real battle in the demonic realm, and a lot of people don't know that, but there is battle, there's war, there's warfare that goes on. And in my novel The Influence, I wrote about that and you know fictionalized it of course but I had angels, good angels, bad angels, you know. good angels following angels.

And uh Oh, I got the the link for that, that's good. Anyway, and so I talk about that in different strengths and weaknesses and things. No big deal.

So that's it.

Okay, that's it.

So, no, it's not. Let's go to a, let's see another one here. If in a presuppositional framework, God is said to be the necessary. To be necessary to ground logic and reality, yes. But what is calling, we've talked about this before, it's worth going over again.

What is calling God necessary actually explain beyond asserting that he exists? The necessary means that in order for other things to exist or have their work, their reality, it's necessary that something else is there for their existence.

So, for example, it's necessary that God exist in order for the universe to exist because the universe could not form itself. Only God could do that. That's the kind of thing that it means: He's necessary in that He is the explanation. Because things are not explained in and of themselves, created objects, things that are temporal, things that have beginning, mass. They are not eternal in and of themselves.

they have to have been created. And so what's necessary for them to be created. The being who is there beforehand. And that's what it means by that. Let's get to Ben from Ohio.

Ben, welcome. You're on the air. Hi, Matt. Thank you for having me. Sure, man.

No problem. What do you got, buddy? Uh yeah, I it to with the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount.

Okay. curious and thinking, is the Summit on the Mount Like a continuation or an Answers to the Ten Commandments, like For example, Um you shall not have any other gods before me. And if you go to the summit of the mountain, Uh blessed are the poor in spirit. There is the kingdom of heaven.

So is it like. Like a dual forward here, like it's Yeah, parallels there.

Okay, I noticed that during the study, and I was just like, oh, it's like. It's answering and giving more in depth.

So I was just wanting kind of like a clarification on that or making sure I wasn't going down a rabbit hole or something. You can say that there's relationships there because Jesus is giving wisdom. commands, let's just say. In the Sermon on the Mount, on, and I've been to the place, actually, been to the place where he did that. Actually, it's kind of cool thinking about that.

But yeah, there's parallels there. You've heard it say, and then he says, I'll say some stuff.

So the same setting: Moses went up to the mountain, Jesus was up on a hillside, a mountain. It's not technically a mountain the way we think of mountains, but an elevation, a mass, not something that's like three feet tall, but you've got to really walk up for quite a while, that kind of thing.

So the same commandments kind of, you know, they come up, don't murder and commit adultery and things like that.

So, however, the Ten Commandments were given as a covenant document, and there were two tablets, 10 and 10, because the commandments, which were suzerain vassal treaty pattern of the third millennium BC covenant system, both parties get a copy of the covenant because the Ten Commandments are in a covenant style. This is what God has done. These are the rewards, stipulations for keeping the commandments, and things like that. And so. Their covenant, covenantal.

And what Jesus is doing in Matthew 5 is expanding on a lot of things in the Old Testament and giving wisdom literature, wisdom, literature, wisdom statements that were recorded. And of course, to the Israelites.

So he's like expanding in a lot of stuff taught, not just in Ten Commandments, but other stuff as well.

Okay. Okay. Alright, that and And I if I may, if could I get your kind of maybe thoughts or opinions like when Moses came down with with the first set of tablets and and drops them and destroys them. I mean Kinda just share your thoughts or yeah Yeah, you brought the Yeah, it sounds like he's the worst sinner. He broke all ten commandments at once.

Yeah, when I was reading that, I was just like, oh, you can. To take that upon himself, or I mean, just seeing what. He had come up, gone up to the mountain, he was there, and when he had come back down, they were committing idolatry. They were doing the exact opposite of what God has required.

So he threw the commandments down, and at the very least, symbolically designating their great sin of breaking the commandments. There's a lot of sin that was going on in that valley area while they were making an idol. And people were being licentious. It's a lot of stuff going on.

So he threw the command the the the them down and when the law was given, you know, three thousand died right there, you know, uh when when this happened. And in In Acts 20, Acts 20. Acts 2, when the gospel is given, 3,000 are saved. It actually says: so when the law is given, 3,000 die. When the gospel is given, 3,000 live.

It's a nice parallel.

So and then go back up down to the set.

Okay? Yeah, yeah, thank you. I just when I read that I just like Mouth drop, shock dying, I just start going to questions like Oh, was was was this intended or was this just And Just gone down that rabbit hole of just, you know, trying to. understand that moment. Voices.

lost me but baffling at the same time. And so I just wanted your thoughts and Um ideas. From that Okay. Yeah, I hope that helps, you know, and uh yeah, yeah, it does. I I just uh just curious and definitely with uh what I called about previously so Uh thank you for that and I have a blessed day and I enjoy your program very much.

Well, thank you very much for calling and listening. I appreciate it. Oh, all time. Monday to Friday. Good.

Good good smart man. Good for you. Thank you, sir. You have a good day. You too, thanks.

'Kay.

Okay. All right. Hey, there you go.

So if you want to give me a call, folks, you can. It's 877-2072. 2276. Give me a call. Let's get to John from Utah.

John, welcome. You're on the air. Hey, Matt, I've got two questions for you. Sure. You were talking about the Trinity a couple minutes ago.

Yes. I want to know what you think about Genesis. 126 where it says Then God said, Let us make man in our image. Yes. Is that evidence for the Trinity that uses us?

It's evidence for it. Yes, that's the right way to put it. It doesn't prove the Trinity. But notice what it says: And God, Elohim, said, Let us. That's one.

Make man in our, that's two. Image according to our likeness. That's three plurals. Which is really interesting. Right.

God said us make man in our image according to our likeness.

So three plurals there. Then in the next verse, God created man in his own image.

So these kinds of statements are supportive of the doctrine of the Trinity. Supportive. Yep. Right. That's how I read it too.

My next question is about There's this guy, Michael Heiser. He died a couple of years ago, but I keep seeing him hyped up. He's some great Old Testament scholar, but Have you heard what he what he teaches? Yeah. And council of the gods and things like this, divine counsel, and I don't agree with them.

I think it's problematic. I don't either. It seems like polytheism. Yeah, except he wasn't teaching polytheism, but yeah, I found it to be a little bit confusing, a little bit of an issue.

So why is he so hyped up? Why do people buy this?

Well, the Mormons like it because they teach polytheism, multiple gods exist.

So the Mormons latched on to things he would say. And it was very fortunate. Maybe then we gotta break you in a hold.

Okay? Um okay. Hold on.

Okay, hold on, but I'm gonna break. Hey, folks, we write back Gafferly's messages. We have two up in line. If you want to give me a call, 877-207-2276. We'll be right back.

It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Oh, Robert, welcome back to the show. Let's get back on with John from Utah. John, are you still there?

I'm still here. I I know nothing about Hebrew, but I guess Elohim is part of Michael Heiser's whole argument where it's like a plural, but it also refers to God. Can you explain that? Yes, the word I o the the the f ending I am, okay, uh the letters I am in English transliterated, is the plural form.

So for example, the Hebrew word for face, you know, F-A-C-E, is panim. And it has a plurality of features: eyes, nose, mouth.

So, yeah, there's that, and it's a plurality. Which I think suggests the issue of the plurality of the nature of God. And so uh When people start Saying, oh, that means there might be a council of gods or a council of this or that, that's a humongous problem. And I have his book. And I started reading through it, and I went through two or three chapters.

I wasn't impressed. I just said, no, he's drawing in unnecessary conclusions and then. Working off an unnecessary conclusion and is kind of building with another unnecessary conclusion to make. Points. And a lot of people just don't know stuff, and so they don't know it's not an unnecessary point.

They think it's valid. And so this is what I observed with him, and I thought it was problematic. Very problematic.

Okay, fell. I wonder what the Jews from like I don't know, three thousand years ago would have thought about that word. Is there we have anything on that? No, it's just a word, like actress, actresses, or actors. It just means plural.

That's not a big deal. And so they understood that, and the word was used in different contexts, different ways. But uh there were Jews who apparently looked at God as a plurality, not pl more gods, but something in his nature was plural. and there were Jews back before the time of Christ who held that position.

So a lot of people don't know that, but that's that's true too, yeah.

Well, thank you, Matt. I appreciate the info. Sure, man. No problem, brother. God bless.

Okay. God bless.

Bye.

Okay. All right. Hey, folks, you want to give me a call? You can. It's 877-20-72276.

Pam from Virginia. Welcome. You're on the air. Hi, thanks for taking my call. I'm glad you had Open Line this afternoon.

Please, let me start off by telling you, please forgive my naivety. I grew up Catholic. I've kinda changed the way that I worship. And uh And I have a question, and so please forgive me if I don't know the correct answer for this, but I figured you'd be the right guy to tell me. Um When when people pass away, You know, we talk about, oh, your mom's in heaven now, your mom's looking down on you, your mom's in heaven now, but are they really because?

Don't the scriptures tell us that Jesus is coming back and he's going to raise those who died before us and then he's coming back for us.

So So, you know, again, forgive me if I don't know, but no problem at all. Yeah, I do.

So, what has before the time of Christ, people who died went to a. It looks like, this is what the, it seems to be this. We won't say for exactly sure, but it certainly seems to be. They went to a holding place, and it's spoken about in Luke 16, 19 through 31: Lazarus and the rich man. They both died, and one was in a good place, one was in a bad place.

Alright, so At the time of Christ, when he was crucified, then the Door to heaven was opened up, to being in the presence of God.

Now, in Jewish cosmology, there's three heavens. The first heaven is the, they call it the first heaven, it's where the birds are and the clouds are and the wind. The second heaven is the stars, the sun, the moon. The third heaven is the dwelling place of God.

So, and that's Jewish thought, and I've written on this and studied it. And so, the third heaven is the place of God.

So, some think that after Jesus was crucified, the blood of Christ had been offered, and therefore had cleansed them sufficiently by his blood, that he could then go to Abraham's bosom and take them up into heaven. And it seems to be the case because of Ephesians 4, 8 through 12, it says he led captive a host of captives as he ascended on high.

So some put that together and say, looks like he probably went there and took them into heaven because they had died in the faith.

Now In 1 Thessalonians 4, 16 through 5, verse 2, it talks about the return of Christ and that when he comes, the first ones who are resurrected as far as the living and the dead in Christ, the first ones resurrected are those who have died ahead of us. Like my wife passed away last year, so she will come with Christ. And she'll be resurrected first, and then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together and meet them in the air. If I don't pass away first. And so that's how that order goes.

Now, in 2 Thessalonians, excuse me, 2 Corinthians 12, 2 through 4, there's an account where Paul says, I know a man, whether in the body or out of the body, I do not know, but such a man was caught up into the third heaven. And he saw things, etc.

So he was able to go into heaven at that point.

So, long story short. People who are Christians and die now, they go to heaven. And if you're not a Christian, you don't, you go to a bad place.

Okay. Right. Yeah. Okay. All right, yeah, it is.

But, you know, I just really have I was baptized. with water, you know, and and and Last year, and so I've really been trying to read a lot, and I know you know a lot about the Catholic religion, but we really shouldn't. talk about the Bible much, you know, we just really didn't. Um That wasn't what we talked about. But anyway, thank you so much for that information.

Well, I'm glad you're out of Catholicism because it's a false religion. And hope you're not going to be able to do it.

Okay. I do. It is absolutely wonderful. Yes. Absolutely.

So what church are you going to now? I'll make sure that you're you're doing okay. What basic kind of church are you going to?

Well, it's a nondenominational It is um it's called Hope Point. and they teach a lot of the Bible. They talk a lot of the New Testament and where's it looking? I'm going to look it up. Hope Point Church, where's it looking?

Sure. Where is it? It is in Chesterfield, Virginia. Chesterfield Virginia. Virginia, Virginia.

I'm gonna look it up real quick. We are growing. We have campuses and we have picked up a third campus that we're going to be opening. And another part of Chesterfield. And That's a very needy part and they and Hope Point does a lot of work in that area now.

So it's fantastic we're going in there.

So here's a question. I'm looking and it says pastors Jonathan and Amy Stells.

So women are not supposed to be pastors. That's unbiblical.

Well All right.

Well, yep, I can go through and tell you why. It's a very serious issue. All right. And uh So, let me get into this. Our pastor staff led by pastors Joni and Amy.

Yeah. So, I would. Automatically, I recommend you don't go to this church.

Now, let me explain why, okay? This may sound a little bit hard. But the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2: oh, hold on, hold on, we got a break. I need to go through this and explain something because it'll make sense afterwards, okay?

So hold on, that's really important.

So, folks, we write back after these messages. Please stay tuned. And that's correct. Women pastors and women elders are completely unbiblical, and you should not attend a church that has them. We'll be right back.

It's Matt Slick Live, taking a call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Alright Robbie, welcome back to the show. Let's get back on. With Pam from Virginia.

Are you still there? I am.

Alright, now this may sound a little harsh, okay, but I'm going to read you scripture. See what the Bible says, okay?

Now this is what Paul says in 1 Timothy 3.15. 1 Timothy 3.15, he says, He says, But in case I'm delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God.

So he's writing about how to conduct himself in the church. How's all the gut, okay? In the previous chapter, he says, I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but remain quiet, for it was Adam who was first created and then Eve.

So he ties this in to the created order. It's not cultural. Then when you go to 1 Timothy 5, 17.

Okay. It says the elders Who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at. preaching and teaching.

So the ones who preach and teach in a church are elders.

So elders preach and teach. And women are not to have that spiritual authority over men in the church because Adam was first created. This gets into a lot of theology, which I could explain, but you know, it just depends on how deep you want to get.

So now when we go to Titus, Titus 1, he says, For this reason I left you in Crete that you should set in order what remains in verse 5, and appoint elders in every city. Namely, if a man is above reproach, the husband of one wife.

So he's telling Titus, set elders. The husband of one wife, in Greek, anermis gunaikas, man or husband. Of one wife, a woman cannot fit that bill. It's impossible.

Okay. He tells us women are not to be in spiritual authority over men. Because Adam was first created. This has to do with a theology called a primogeniture and what's called federal headship. These are doctrines that most Christians don't know and most pastors never teach.

They just are ignorant about a lot of theology.

Sorry, but it's the case a lot of times. And they come up with these dumb doctrines that women could be pastors and elders.

So I've written a this On this for many many years. And my research, I discovered eighty percent of the denominations. And churches that adopt women pastors, 80% within two generations start approving of homosexuality. Because they're not believing God's word when it comes to the authority of the church and what God has set up. They're not believing it.

So I always tell, also, I've been on radio now for 23 years, 21, five days a week. And I can't tell you how many times over those years that I've challenged people, like right now, I will fly out to your church, you know, whatever church, at my expense, and I will debate you on your territory. on the topic. Does the Bible support or teach, you can have women pastors and elders. And I said, I'll do this.

We had to, you know, it'd be videotaped, recorded. Both sides get a copy. And I've not had a single person ever accept this challenge in all these multiple years of me offering it. Because they they won't win. Because they can't.

Because I will quote God's word, and they'll go to Phoebe, they'll go to Deborah, they take verses out of context. If they can't, now here's the question: if they can't get this right, what makes you think they can get other stuff right? If they can't get this clear teaching of scripture, what are they doing? Are they taking their finger, wetting it, putting it in the air, and saying, which way is culture going? We've got to have women pastors because it's chauvinistic.

Oh, that's what we're going to do.

So it's bad news, and I'm sorry, but you shouldn't be in a church like that.

Okay. Well, what I'll do is You've just given me more stuff to read. Um so I'll just research and, you know, uh I appreciate your knowledge, and I enjoy listening to you, and I thank you. And you've given me more stuff to think about and talk with God about. And examines Examine scripture.

So you can go to Carm, my website. I don't know if you've been to Carm.

Okay, have you been to my website?

Okay, and look, just type in women pastors, okay, and hit enter. And women in ministry, can women be pastors and elders, women pastors and a lack of biblical worldview, not allowing pastors as sexists, women pastors. It goes on, all kinds of things about this. I've written a great deal. Right.

And it's one of the it's it's in my opinion, women pastors are one of the signs of the apostasy. In Protestantism. That's how serious I take it.

Okay. Absolutely.

Right. Absolutely.

Gotcha.

Okay. Well, thank you so much. Thank you, and I'm sure I'll talk to you again. Thank you. All right, sounds good.

Okay, we'll go.

Okay. Bye.

Alright. Yeah. So ladies and gentlemen, yeah, that's what I said, and I'll say it again. You should not go to a church, you should not attend a church that has women pastors, women elders. You shouldn't.

Because they're in violation of the Word of God. And I gave the reasons. I gave the scriptures. I've written a great deal on this. I've had impromptu discussions many, many times with people about this, having to discuss it.

And I'll offer my challenge again. I will fly out to your church at my expense, my hotel. I'll pay everything for me. And we have a debate, formal debate, of a good representative of your church, not Bob, you know, who's a farmer who may know stuff, but I mean, we get to do a debate, and it's filmed, all right, recorded, put up. And on the topic, does the Bible support women, pastors, and elders?

And I don't know how many times I've offered this challenge over many, many years on radio, and not a single person has ever taken me up on it. Why is that? Why is it? You think that they have this? Like, if I was visiting that area and I went to that church and they had a women pastor, women elder up there, I'd go up to the pastor and say, the man, why do you have women elders when the Bible says, I quote, I had this stuff memorized, when it says this and this and that?

And I've done this before, you know what they say?

Well we'd have differences of opinion. Oh, so then when Paul says He does not allow women to teach or exercise authority, but remain silent, for Adam was first created. That is that just his opinion? Is your opinion equal to Paul? What he says, appoint elders in the church?

The elders are to be male? Men? Has been a born wife? This is just opinion? And they don't want to talk to me because they automatically are confronted with the Word of God and they choose to ignore it and suppress it.

I remember once I had a discussion with a guy locally here years ago. And we had about an hour discussion on it. Very polite guy, you know, I'm sure he was safe. We had a good discussion. And I asked him.

I said, why do you do this? And, you know, I wasn't attacking. I just, you know, why do you do this? What's the reason? And he gave me this stuff, and he gave me these, you know, Deborah and Phoebe and things like this.

And I said, well, let's look at those. And I showed him, and well, it doesn't say, you know, it doesn't, you know, what about this? What the other? I went through everything. And at the end, when he didn't have any more answers, he says, well, we just have to agree to disagree.

He says, no, we don't agree, disagree. You're wrong. And you need to repent, your church needs to repent. Use the assistant pastor. And he didn't like that.

I said it very politely. I said, You need to repent. This is what the Bible teaches, and you're not holding to it. Why are you violating God's word? And this is a serious issue.

So, uh. Yeah folks, don't go to a church with women, pastors, and elders, okay? Study God's word. Let's get to Jermaine from California. Jermaine, welcome.

You're on the air, buddy. Hey Babas, wondering about the Psalms. I know they're written in in You know, in physical form, but are they all Meant to be sung in some format? Like, are they all meant to be interpreted as simple music? Um I believe that all of them were intended as poetry and song to be to be sung, but I don't know if every single one of them is required of that.

There's a lot of the Psalms with no titles. There's what's called imprecatory psalms. Where God says, you know, where the psalmist says, gap, God, destroy them, break their teeth, you know.

So, uh, I would say the majority of them are meant to be sung because so many places in the Psalms talk about stringed instruments. And uh let's see, go to Psalms.

Okay. Yeah, the following expression seilah may mean pause, crescendo, or musical interlude, maskil, contemplative, didactic, or skilful psalm, maktam. uh which is possibly uh uh epigrammatic poem and She'ol, the Netherworld. But it says and I'm looking for some of them because it'll say to the choir master, it'll say to these things, yeah, for the choir director on stringed instruments, a Psalm of David, Psalm 4. But not all of them have that.

Psalm 5 is for the choir director for flute accompaniment.

So we could go on. It'd be a good question to analyze to see if every one of them has something like that, which ones do and don't. But if there's a psalm that is simply A uh A poem that's included in the Psalms. Maybe it wasn't intended to be sung, but overall, my first reaction to say, yeah, they were all intended to be sung. My first reaction.

Okay. Okay. Well, I think some of them are absolutely what you said. poetry because it Some of them are so short, I I just don't know how they would view that as as a song. Yeah.

I guess maybe, um It doesn't mean just because it is a song doesn't mean it's always meant to be sang. Right. Like Psalm 119, that would take a long time to sing. because it's an acrostic of 22 of sections representing the Hebrew alphabet.

So, you know, it's a good question though. All right, we got a break, buddy. All right, man. All right. Thank you, man.

Appreciate it. God bless.

Hey, folks, you're right back. We got three open lines: 8772-07-2276. Be right back. It's Matt Slick Live, taking a call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick.

Hey everybody, welcome back to the show. If you want to give me a call, you can. 8772-07-2276. Let's get to Clinton from Virginia. Welcome, Clinton.

You're on the air. Well, good evening, Mr. Matt. Good evening. I called up, I wasn't thinking, because the girl before you talked about the pastors.

Okay. And I went back and I said, Because we're stuck of a deacon. Female daycap. And what I wanted you to do instead of me going through the Bible digging it up. You know it quicker than I do'cause I think she's gonna want to know And she started arguing with me.

So, what areas are, I know you said Timothy. And Titus Right. Where there at? And the Bible? What do you mean they?

What's the they? Oh, Jay, excuse me, I'm sorry, about um elders and women and as far as and and the church, yeah. Yeah, first Timothy three, I'm excuse me, first Timothy two, twelve and thirteen.

Okay. Come on, two. And then 1 Timothy 5, 17.

Alright. And then you want to read um 1 Timothy 3. One roughly 1 through 13.

Okay. In there, it says deac, by the way, it says deacons must be men of dignity, deacons must be husbands of only one wife.

So, women can't be taken. I've read it before. Right, I've read it before, and I'm going like, okay, good. I know then Titus, I know, okay. Because Titus 1:30, verse 5, yes.

Oh yes, but I got you tied one through five.

So If you know the religion Why is it like thirty percent No, no. I say twenty. 20% of the churches in the United States I have female pastors. And I've been to two other churches, they've had women deacons. Uh uh I'm blown on that.

I don't I don't understand them. Are they afraid to say you can't come in here and be a deacon? The men just don't want to be deacons. Our pastors. Yeah, yeah, a lot of men aren't stepping up and doing what they gotta do and the pastor needs to to uh let people know they need to step up.

And men, when they fail, women will often step in and try and fix things. And uh uh do what the men are are doing there and it's it's just not good.

So uh It's roughly 10 to 14 percent according to Barna, uh where there are women pastors and elders.

So, they're going to take up a growing share of seminary students. I'm reading research. Roughly one in ten Protestant churches in America has a woman p senior pastor. And this is a sign of apostracy. Yeah.

What's the percentage of homosexuals being passed? I don't know. That'd be different. I don't know if you know a percentage or not. No, women pastors though, it it's a I consider it honestly, and I'm dead serious, I consider it one of the signs of the apostasy, is that m uh people are not taking it seriously.

It doesn't mean they can't preach the gospel or can't help people, but you know, if I were to go to a church and I've done this before, why do you have a woman pastor and elder? Let me tell you, when I've confronted churches locally here on this, one of them called the police on me, and the other ones I almost got beat up.

So it's one church I contacted them via email and said, hey, could we talk about women pastors and elders? And they said, sure, and no problem. And then they went back on their word. They said yes, and then I said no. And I said, You said yes, so or yes, but yes, or no, but no, can we talk?

And then I went down to the church. And I said, You know, you said you would, and I'm asking a biblical question. And 1 Peter 3:15 says, Give an answer. I'm asking you. And they said, we just decided not to talk to you.

I said, but you gave your word, and you're not agreeing to submit to Scripture. in this. you know, about giving an answer. And I said, okay, I'm just going to go to the body of Christ. That's the next step.

And he goes, Oh, you're threatening us?

So, a couple weeks later, I went to that church out in the snow while it was snowing, and I passed out literature to the cars coming in. They called the cops on me. They called the police on me. Yeah. And then that day I drove home I went to another church where I just emailed about this issue and Walked in, very, very, I wasn't starting any trouble.

I just called. But long story short, I ended up outside the church backing up in a, it was called in Krav Maga, the Israeli martial arts. There's a way you can hold your hands in your body, you move and you step away. And I was doing that. I was actually getting away, and I didn't get at the details, but I felt very threatened.

And the pastor It just was a bad scene. And I was glad to be out of there because I was afraid for my own safety. These are supposed to be Christian churches.

Now, in the first church, what they should have done. They should have brought coffee out or hot chocolate out to me. Love your enemies type thing. and not call the police on me. It was insane.

And the second church, the same thing. They should sit by you. We just don't agree, and then they say, We don't want to talk about it. I said, You know, I try and pin them. Give an answer, the Bible says, Well, you don't want to, you're violating scripture.

All right, you know, that's what you want to do before God. You know, I've done my part. But yeah, it's met with great hostility because you're tilting their idols over. And this is serious stuff. It needs to stop in the Protestant churches.

No women, pastors, and elders can't do it. And yet it's one in ten, it's ten percent now. I just now found out from the research from Barna, 10%. This is horrible. It's horrible.

And 80% within two years start adopting homosexuality issues.

So this is my research from ten years ago. Yeah, bad news. You know it's not getting any better. It's getting worse and worse. That's right.

People don't want to believe the Word of God. And when I say the Word of God, people get upset with me for teaching things like. John 6, 65, you cannot come to me unless the Father grants it to you, Jesus says. I say, you can't come to Christ. It's not of your own free will, no your own sinful.

It's God has to grant it to you. I don't believe that. That's what Jesus said. And I show it to them. They don't want to talk to me because there's a growing apostasy in the Protestant churches.

Where doesn't mean all churches are bad. But where MAMBY PAMBY theology is taught with man-centered theology, humanistic philosophy is inserted. God will never allow you to do something you can't handle, or God won't ask you to do something that you can't do, or God loves everyone equally, it's just up to you, and all these things that are not found in Scripture. And yet they're taught and believed. If it can be pastors and elders, no, you can't.

And so I I'm a a killjoy for a lot of people.

Okay. Wow. Upset people. But anyway, remember I told you about our church, about it, it was kind of collapsing and so forth. Thank you for remembering.

Okay. Well, the church has been going for a hundred years. And now we have to we're going to vote This weekend Of merging with another church. Never been to this church, but nothing. Yeah.

Yeah. Oh, we'll find out. Yeah, there's a growing apostasy, and in fact, let me read this to you. 2 Thessalonians 2. Paul says Don't be quickly shaken about the return of Christ.

Let no one deceive you. Verse 3:4 will not come unless the apostasy comes first. And the man of laws is revealed.

So What are signs of the apostasy in the Christian Church today? Catholics these sort of adults are apostate, they're already gone. But it's humanist in philosophy. That it's up to, that salvation is completely up to your wisdom, your ability to make a choice.

Some further apostate doctrines are: you keep your salvation by your goodness.

So, you can lose your salvation, even as a Protestant, and you maintain it by how good you are. That's a false doctrine, it's a false gospel. Women pastors, women elders are there. people who says hey divorce is real easy And they could be pastors.

Now, there are certain conditions which is permittable, but we'll get into all those details. There's just a lot of stuff, there's legalism that is being taught in a lot of churches. That you have to participate and adhere to good things in order to please God. No. We should do those good things and we should seek to please God, and He's happy with those.

But you've got to be careful when you say, in order to please Him, because. we we please him through Christ and what Christ has done And then we do these other things to glorify him. This is a subtle difference in theological perspective that a lot of people just don't understand. And what they do is they mistakenly think that. that uh with our humanist philosophy they can get in to uh Get into heaven.

It's bad out there. It's bad. It really is. Yeah, well. Yeah, it's like I heard on the uh radio about the two politicians in Texas.

And it brought in the how how Christians they are. No, they're not. They're just doing just to get elected. That's terrible, isn't it? Using the word of God just to get elected.

Then they're going to go back and take everything away from you. Yes, that's that's it. There's a lot of liars out there. And uh Yeah, I can't say what I think over the radio. Prophecy, you got it, yeah.

You got it. False prophecy is on the way. Hi Matt. Um Okay, go get up with something, but the answer was already there, so all right, man. Look, we have a blessed one and all that good stuff, and I'll talk with you later.

All right. God bless you, sir. God bless.

Okay. Sounds good.

Okay. All right, now, next longest waiting is whoo, by a few seconds, is Scott from Washington. Scott, welcome. You're on the air. Hey, how's it going, Matt?

I know we don't have a ton of time left.

So I'll just get right to it. You know, I don't have my Bible in front of me, but in the book of Acts, It's talking about when I think Peter and John, when they would walk by and their shadow, people would line up to be cast of their shadow to be healed. And the times I've read that, I'm I've Can't remember, it's like I said, it's not in front of me, but were those people actually being healed or were they thinking they might be healed? Apparently, it was occurring. This is out of Acts 5:15, to the extent that some even carried the sick onto the streets and laid them on cots and pallets.

So, when Peter came by, at least the shadow might fall on any one of them. And let's see if it comes up to any other area. Acts 19:12. Let me go there. It says so the handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from.

from his body to the sick, and diseases left them and evil spirits went out. And uh so that was uh by Paul.

So apparently they were just so many miraculous things were happening by the apostles that saying, Get a handkerchief, get in their shadow. that this is that's apostolic authority, right? Yeah, the Catholic Church, the East Orthodox Church have that authority, don't they? Yeah, right.

Well, it actually brought to my mind that I when you said that about the handkerchiefs, I remembered that. And I mean, doesn't that give uh a gateway or credence to what they call relics, you know? Maybe that's where they draw that. Yes, and this she Here's the problem. We see this kind of thing given to the apostles.

So that apostolic authority, which is designated by Jesus in Matthew 10, 1 through 8, when the apostles died, that authority that they themselves had died with them. The East Orthodox Roman Catholics will say apostolic authority is transferred. Because they need that authority for their stupid priesthood work. And so you can be saved by your priesthood authority, blah, blah, blah. And so it's the same kind of thing.

It's missing the theological perspective that really the scriptures teach. And so. Yes, it would lend itself to relics if they said the authority is still there, and there's a superstition that they have about the priest has authority, the bishop has the same authority as Jesus, so the same handkerchiefs. Let's get those same handkerchiefs, let's get the same relics. And it all falls into the same kind of umbrella of just.

Idolatry.

Okay. And there's the music. Yeah. Okay, thank you. All right, man.

All right. Have a good day. You too. God bless.

There's the music. We are out of here. May the Lord bless you. And please consider supporting us. I forgot to mention that we do need it financially.

You can go to carm.org. We're donating to the top. May the Lord bless you by His grace. We'll be back on here tomorrow, and we'll talk to you then. God bless.
