The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network. It's Matt Slick Live. Matt is the founder and president of the Christian Apologetics Research Ministry, found online at Carm.org. When you have questions about Bible doctrines, turn to Matt Slick Live for answers, taking your calls and responding to your questions at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick.

All right, everyone, welcome to the show. It's me, Matt Slick, and you're listening to Matt Slick Live. As usual, if you want to give me a call, all you got to do is dial 877207-2276. I want to hear from you. Give me a call.

You can also, if you want, send an email to info at carm.org, info at carm.org. And you can uh put in a subject line, radio comment or radio question, something like that. We can We can get to it. All right.

Now. I got some projects I'm working on. If I can tell you or not, if I should. I'm working on a new book, and we'll see how that goes. And I'm going to start developing a fourth online school of biblical interpretation.

So I might do both of those. I do both of those because simultaneously, I like working on different things at a time, and sometimes I just enjoy going back and forth between theology and. proper and how-tos and what-fours and things like that.

So, like I said, if you want to give me a call, you can just dial 877207. Two, two, seven, six. Um So I was working on stuff, editing some stuff. And as I sometimes do, I'll get online and just listen. I'll I'll go into a chat room someplace, just listen to people talking.

And it was a good conversation that these two guys were having for about a half hour. And it really was a good conversation. back and forth, the disagreeing respectfully. And uh which I was enjoying. And uh Uh And so they were talking about universalism.

And one guy was defending it, another guy was saying, no, it's false.

Now, universalism is a teaching that everybody will end up being saved. And now, you know, I'm trying to represent the other position fairly and stuff and not put words in the guy's mouth, but I'll just give the gist and then turn the gist into some basic theological things. that have sometimes arisen. in discussions with universalism. And um So, what they'll do is they'll play, I call it playing with words, but they'll take the word ionios, which is age.

or i unus toneion, which is uh for forever and ever. And they'll they'll say the word age um deals with Just a period of time. Yeah. Having I've written about 35 articles on universalism. And had a lot of experience discussing it with people.

And of all of the groups, that have treated me badly. The Satanists are the worst. And it was so bad, we had to get the FBI involved. The next worst group is the Universalists. Who teaches that God loves everybody so much, He'll save everybody.

And yet they treated me so vitriolically, so Just so badly. It's really interesting, kind of the hypocrisy, but nevertheless. This guy, this universalist will not like that and you know, I'm thankful for that. But here's the thing. The Bible What it does is it um breaks up history.

into two ages. this age and the age to come. And So we got talking about that and uh I have in my article an examination of this age and age to come. Uh a table. And where I go through two ages.

And the Bible breaks up history in two ages, this age and age to come.

Now, why is this important? Because when you put it into the context of universalism, you'll find out that universalism just can't work.

Well, how so? It's simple. There are two ages. In this age, blasphemy is not forgiven. And let's see, we've got some stuff right there.

Let's see, update that. Oh, interesting. Yeah. Huh. Oh, I didn't update one of the things.

And uh that's interesting. Oh, I just saw something I I messed up on. Not a big deal, but I've got to work on it.

So, in fact, there we go, publish that. Come on, get in there. It's live editing on my site. And uh If If there's only two ages. And Jesus says, Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in.

this age or the age to come. And there's only two ages. then blasphemy can never be forgiven. and in neither rate.

Well, what encompasses both of these ages. It's simple. Scripture divides history into two ages: the present age, Which is marked by sin and evil. Satan's influence. and he's called the God of this world.

and the age to come when believers receive eternal life and the full power of God's kingdom.

Some things belong only to this age, like marriage and receiving a hundredfold reward, while eternal life and kingdoms miraculous power just m off my notes belong only to the age to come.

So there's only two ages. This age and years to come. But if Jesus says that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this age or the age to come, then that proves that uh universalism is false. Because it teaches that everybody will eventually be saved in this age. Maybe not, but in the age to come they will.

Because that's where eternity is. That's where we receive eternal life. Blasphemy is not forgiven. No marriage in that age. And so When I brought this up to the universalist, he graciously said, We'll have to look into that, which is fine.

Because when someone hears something new, if they say, Look, I need to look into it, I need to examine it. I don't have any problem with that, but that's fine. And just an honest statement that they need to verify. And that's good. You shouldn't trust a guy named Slick, right?

So he's going to verify, and when he does, because it's true, I've done a lot of research on this. That's what it is. Uh we'll see if he holds to his universalism again.

Okay. And then another topic came up, and this is the issue of annihilationism, because they're kind of related topics. I don't know why they are. But often when someone brings up Universalism, annihilationism often gets brought up. It just happens, and it happened today.

And so Someone just asked me very quickly, Matt, how do you show that annihilationism is false? And I said, Well, it's easy to do. But annihilationism is the position that there is no eternal punishment. And that um that eventually excuse me there's two main main views One is when you die, you don't exist anymore, and that's it, that's your your punishment. And the other view is that you are resurrected into consciousness, you suffer for a while, and then you're annihilated from there and you don't exist.

And so in the first one, Is false and the segment is false, and I'll explain why. But here's the basic thing I said to the guys: I said, Look, I did a lot of research on the words for punishment in the New Testament and the Old Testament. I don't know how many that are, five or ten. Because I did this work years ago. And I look at every single instance.

in every single instance in the entire Bible of all of them. I did, and I wrote up the results. This is why I ended up writing 182 articles on annihilationism, or related to annihilationism, I should say. 182 for real. And um it came down to this.

Punishment is always experienced. That's it. There's never a case where someone is undergoing punishment where it's not also experienced.

Now, there are cases where God says He will punish somebody, but then they repent and they don't get punished. But that's not punishment.

So If annihilationism is true, and eternal punishment is eternal nonexistence, then that's not experienced. Because non-existence is not an experience. And punishment is always experienced in the Bible. Therefore, annihilationism is false. It's simple.

All right, that's one way. What about this view, though, that some annihilationists will hold to, that you die and you go into a state of soul sleep, which I'll I'll tackle soul sleep because that's another issue related. And in soul sleep, then they are resurrected to consciousness, or whatever it is. And they are punished for a while in fire or whatever, and then after that they're done and they're annihilated, and that's their judgment. And I say, well, wait a minute.

If you're saying that the punishment is their fire, then you're saying the punishment of fire i is ending. And so, how is it eternal punishment?

Well, it's not, it's age-old punishment. We get into all this stuff. And I say, so you're saying then that they're punished according to their sin. That's right. Their sin is breaking the law.

That's right. So they're fulfilling the requirements of the law, right? Yes, then why aren't they saved? Why are they not saved after They fulfill the requirements of the law, which is being punished for a while, and then they just get annihilated.

So you're saying. They fulfill the requirements of the law's repunishment, but And then they're punished again? How does that make sense? And this is a logical problem. logical problem with them and that view.

Now Since I'm just throwing these things out at you. There's another view. called soul sleep, and this often gets brought up as well. because the ages does, I won't give you all the details.

Soul sleep is a position. That when a person dies, that the human consciousness either ceases to exist. Or A ghost is sleep. and is not conscious, not active. But still exists.

So, you have one where the soul ceases to exist, you have the one where the soul continues to exist. And when it ceases to exist, that's a heresy, and I can explain why. And when it ceases to have any functioning work while it's existing is also a heresy, and I'll explain why. You see, Jesus is the measure of truth. Not your sincerity, not your goodness, not what you think is right.

Now how you feel. But Jesus, I talk to people and I say, hey, Are you uh keeping the law of God? Yes. Perfectly.

Well, no Oh, so you're not keeping it? Yes, I am. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You said you don't. You said you sinned.

Yes. But I thought you said you're keeping the law. I am. And they don't see these non-sequiturs in their brains because their brains are fried from false doctrines and false churches, but at any rate.

So I say, look. Um If Jesus is the standard of righteousness, and Jesus is the standard of truth, etc. And Jesus, the person, is the one who died on the cross. And by definition, Jesus has two natures, a divine nature and a human nature, is called a hypostatic union. if he has two natures that are necessary hypostatic union.

And the communication of the properties. Then, this means then that if his human nature ceases to exist, then the hypostatic union, the person of Christ, is destroyed. That's damnedable heresy. If, on the other hand, you say, well, the human nature is not destroyed, it just goes to sleep, is not effective, not doing anything, then you have another problem. The attributes of humanity are not being ascribed to the person of Christ.

They're inactive. There's nothing going on, no consciousness, no awareness, no properties, nothing. Because there's no activity going on. It's just sleep.

Well, they say, well, a human being is asleep. Yeah, they're still alive and they dream, their minds are active. And they can be woken up out of it very easily. They can review things that have happened that day and even dream about them. I see that's not what you're talking about in soul sleep.

And I say, now do you know what soul sleep is? And they'll say, well. The soul's asleep.

Okay, what does that mean? Any activity in the brain, the mind, the spirit. If so, what level of activity is there? And they don't know.

So how do you know it's soul sleep and how do you know what it is?

Well they they know nothing the Bible says in Ecclesiastes I know And in the context there is being seen under the sun. And uh I say, 'Cause well come on, uh what's happening? And they don't know.

Well, then, you don't know if the very union of the divine nature and the human nature in the one person of Christ is then destroyed or not, because the attributes of both natures. are no longer ascribed. Because the attributes of humanity aren't being worked into the person of Christ, there is no human activity going on.

So the human properties are not active, are they? That destroys the hypostatic union. That destroys the person of Christ. You see how these views are so detrimental? These you know beliefs have consequences Ideas have consequences.

You're supposed to be able to think through your theology. And in light of all of this, I started writing a book. Um On a basic, it's called, it's the working title is Theology and Sneakers. It's a casual look at theology where I talk about it conversationally, but introduce you to all kinds of concepts. in an easy Easy way to understand.

There's the music. If you want to give me a call, all you got to do is dial 8772-0722-76. Be right back, please. Stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276.

That's what we like to ask because it really does help us develop budgets and know what we can and can't do. Let's get to. Cole from Georgia. Cole, welcome. You're on ear.

Well they are always the math weight. Hey. Yeah. How are you doing? How you doing?

I'm doing pretty good. Um, now, my question is, um Now, I've heard your take. On um The millennial ring. Yes. Now.

Uh-huh. I I don't agree with it at all.

Okay. No, you uh Then the main region of Satan's bound for a thousand years. There's peace on earth. There's never been a time On this earth. Where there's been absolute Peace.

Nepper.

Okay, well wait a minute. Where are you at?

Okay. But see, where does it say in the Bible that during the thousand years reign of of Christ's b of Satan's binding, that there's going to be peace. Where does it say that?

Well, when price is on the earth, It says that the lion will eat straw. The kids will be playing with uh snakes, poisonous snakes. If you're a curse, you're going to live to 100. That'll be a cursed life. The average life.

So during the millennium there's gonna be years. You mean Dergamelina is gonna be cursed cursed people? Uh, yeah, because listen, people are going to have free will.

Now, now, here's my take on it, Matt. Here's my take. I think during the millennial raid. It'll be people who never got a chance. To learn about Christ, they'll get an opportunity.

All the aborted babies will get an opportunity. Those type of people still be reproducing.

So they have a free will. People like us, we're in for good. We're going to be like officials and angels. during this millennial reign. And I think God's a fair God.

All the people who never got a chance, and there's a lot of people that died that never got a chance. And I think Christ is going to give him a chance. And when you let me finish. And once once once the once the once the thousand years up. Most of those people will rebel.

You know why? Because they have a free will.

Okay. He's gonna have to teach them to do good. But they're still gonna have a free will. They're not gonna be like us.

Now, we're not going to read the two. Hold on, let me jump in here. Let me jump in. Let me jump in because you're teaching humanist philosophy and you're inserting it and trying to clothe it in Christian thought.

Okay? It's just humanism. No, it's not humanism. That's from the Bible. Let me ask you something here, okay?

In Revelation. Hold on. Hold on, hold on. It says: In Revelation 20, okay, I saw it coming down from heaven. An angel comes down from heaven, that's literal.

Holding a key to the abyss. The key is not a literal key, like we would hold it and put her, you know, for keys and locks. And a great chain in his hand. It's not a literal chain because Satan's not bound with a literal chain, okay? And he laid hold of the dragon and.

I fail. No, it's not a literal change. Because Satan's not a a s a physical being. He's a spirit being, and physical chains don't hold spirits.

Well man, who's to say there ain't a supernatural thing?

Well, it's a supernatural.

Well, hold on. The point is, it is a supernatural something. It's not a literal chain. That's my point. And he laid hold of the dragon.

It's gotta be something like that because think about it. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I said it's not a literal chain. It's not a literal chain, it's something like it. But it's not a literal chain.

That's all my point is, okay? And so he laid hold of the dragon. The dragon is not literal. The serpent of old, that is literal, who is a devil, that's literal. Bound him for a thousand years.

How do you know a thousand is literal? Or argument's not figurative. How do you know it's literal? The what, the thousand years? Yeah, how do you know it isn't?

You know how you know how to know that? No, no, it's literally. Can I answer that? Yes. Please do.

It says that, okay, if you're going to go that route, when the people lived. Up to like Methuselah 969. You're going to tell me that wasn't limited. Yeah, that was late because it's a specific number. But the word thousand is used figuratively, Ecclesiastes 6:6, even if another man lives a thousand years twice.

Psalm 90, verse 4: For a thousand years in your sight is like yesterday. Psalm 50, verse 10, for every beast of the forest is mad. Hold on. Floor? Just literal, where it says, God, a thousand years are as a day.

That's not literal to God. That's not literal. No, a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it passes. It's just a figurative use of the word thousand. Just like it says Exactly, exactly.

Welcome to my club. Where you go.

Now, in Psalm fifty, verse ten, for every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. What about 2,000 hills? What about 4,000 hills? No, thousands just used figuratively. Psalm eighty four, verse ten, For a day in your courtyard is better than a thousand years elsewhere.

And he goes on. Thousand years is used figuratively. The term 1,000 is a figurative use. consistently in the Bible. Most people don't study.

Most preachers from the pulpit don't study. They don't bring this up. They've heard dispensationalism taught from the school through the reference Bible. They just swallow it hook line and secret sinker and they go in and say a thousand is literal. And then they'll say it was a thousand, then they'll say he threw him in the abyss, and so he can't do anything.

But it says that he would not be able to deceive the nations any longer. It doesn't mean he couldn't do anything. The purpose of the binding is so that he can't deceive the nations. Doesn't mean he's not doing anything. Just not deceive the nations.

And all they can do is bring stuff up and read what it says, let the Bible interpret the Bible, and then their view starts to, you know, start sinking because it has holes in it.

Okay. Yeah, but my Matt, it literally says that Satan will not deceive the nations for a thousand years. And then he says, hold on a second. He'll be released for a short time, and most people will follow him. They'll rebel against what they were taught during the thousand years, and they'll rebel and they'll join forces with Satan.

You're telling me that's not literal? Yeah, it's literal in the sense that he's being released. And he will deceive nations, which is definitely happening now. A thousand years is simply a large figure of time. It's like saying a kabillion.

You know, a cabillion years.

Well, it's an indefinite. That's how the word thousand is used in the Bible. Let me ask you: have you ever studied to see how the single word thousand, not 57,000 people listed, But the word thousand. You ever studied to see how it's used? Because it's used figuratively, repeatedly.

Hold on. We gotta break. We gotta break. We gotta bring it. We got a break.

We'll be right back, folks, after these messages. Please stay tuned. Right back. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick.

All right, Rodman, welcome back to the show. If you want to give me a call, you can. 877. 2072276. Cole, are you still there?

Yeah. Still here.

Okay, brother. No, no, well, wait a minute.

Now, Matt, let me make a point.

Okay. Okay, now. Um There's never been a time I got two questions, real quick questions. There's never been a time on this earth's history Where Satan hasn't tormented the earth. Roaring like a roaring lion.

And there's never been a time under your teachings of that. You're saying that it yeah. No, that's not what I'm saying. No, I'm not saying that. The binding of Satan Is so he can't deceive the nations any longer.

I've said several times, it doesn't mean he can't do other things.

Okay. That makes no sense.

Okay, let's go.

Well, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, hold on, hold on. Revelation 20 verses 1 through 4 specifically says. He was bound so that he would not deceive the nations any longer. That's what it says. He threw him into the abyss, verse 3.

and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer.

So that's what it is. What does it mean to deceive the nations? That's what Satan's been doing. Oh, just like what he's doing now. He's deceiving the nations right now.

And I would agree and say that he's been let loose. At the thousand years, that figurative time is basically over. He's been let loose. That deception of the nations is occurring. Time's getting short.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, yes, and I'm pretty sure that most of your citizens agrees with me. But let me say that. It's okay, they can, if I'm wrong. Yeah, because yeah, man, most of 'em will be right. But let me say this.

Stop. You know, the children.

Okay, what is your take on the children playing with serpents out of Isaiah 9, 6? What about the children playing with the serpents? It's just expressive language, poetic language of bliss and happiness in the mind of the Jews. You know, that's all it is. It's just that kind of language what the Jews use in the poetic references.

Not a b not a problem. Matt, just because you don't believe it doesn't make you you find it hard to believe in the millennial actual millennial reign. No, there's a problem with it. I'm explaining to you. No, it's not that.

No, it's not. John McClops says up, up, up. I would have debated the market. You are right. Let me ask you something.

Let me ask you something. Let me try. Jeremiah. All of these televisions are really what this match is. Let me ask you something, okay.

You believe in the rapture, right? Right.

Well, I'm not sure on the raptor. I'm not sure. I'm not sure about that. Um I don't I'm not sure how that's gonna take I I don't s I'm not sure how that's gonna go down. Do you believe the rapture?

I'm not. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I got you. You said the same thing four times. Do you believe the rapture occurs?

At all. I just said I'm not sure about that.

Well, um, okay. Uh so do you know that there's one return of Christ, right?

Well, I'm not sure about that. Oh my goodness.

Well, no wonder you're all messed up. No, I'm not all messed up. This is in the Bible. You are. This is all in the Bible.

He didn't make it real clear. Guess when Satan was bound. He was already bound Jesus said so. in Matthew 12. 22 through 32.

Because he was casting out demons, and the Jews said, You're doing it by the power of the evil one. And he said, in order to cast out demons, the strong man must first be bound. And he calls the calls him Beelzebub, the devil.

So Jesus casting out demons. Can I explain that? Can I explain? Can I explain? Can I respond?

Can I respond? Yes, hold on. As Jesus was casting out demons, therefore, according to Jesus' own words, Satan was bound. Matthew 12:22-32. What do you say?

Well, here's what I gotta say about that. It's kind of true and it's not because when the Holy Spirit, hold on a second, when the Holy Spirit came. She did find Satan. Kind of. Because when the Holy Spirit gets, you know, when we receive the Holy Spirit, the strong man, who's the strong man that lives within us.

It does find it completely. It's not completely. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Hold on, you're changing God's word. It doesn't say the strong man that lives in Sodom is.

Yes, you did. Yeah, you said the strong man lives inside us. That's not what the Bible says. Jesus said, you go to Matthew 12, 22-32. He's casting out demons.

They said you're doing it with the power of the evil one, the devil. He says in order to cast out demonic forces that the strong man Satan must first be bound. Since he was casting him out, then that means Satan was bound. What Jesus Himself said in Matthew 12:22 through 32.

Now what do you do with that?

Well, he bound. Listen, Matt, he bound him when he took him to the cross. When he went to the cross. That's a that's bound. He found Satan's, they took the keys.

Don't you believe the Bible? It doesn't say that. It says in Matthew 12, he was saying he was already bound. He was already bound in order to be able to cast out demons. Before the crime, no, Matt, that's not what that means.

You're doing that so it can coincide with what you believe. No, no. It says in Matthew twelve twenty two thirty two. In twenty two, a demon man, demon-possessed man was there. And they were saying that Jesus cast out demons only by Beelzebub, the rule of the demons.

Verse 24. Knowing their thoughts, he said, You need a kingdom divided against us.

Well, um will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, He's divided against himself. If I by Belzabold cast out demons, by who do your sons cast him out? If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Right there.

Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property on Unless he first binds a strong man. And a plunder's house.

So, this is Matthew 12:22 and 28. Where Jesus says the kingdom of God is already there, and that Satan's been bound already. That's what Jesus says in Matthew 20. 12, 28, 29. Can I let me respond?

And let me respond. And I want other people. I want other people to call in. And straighten you out.

Okay, good. Let me say this. I need that. Hold on. Let me say this.

When Christ went to the cross. He bound Satan.

Okay, he took the keys of from hell and death. That's the binding might. Gression, you're supposed to know that, man. Come on. Um it it says that Satan's bound before the crucifixion in 1912.

I got you because I heard you stutter. You stuttered because that took you. That took you both prime. Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure somebody else is going to call in and straighten you out.

Okay, that's good. You're too smart and you know the word of God, but you got this wrong. You got this smart wrong, Matt. All right, okay.

Okay, I'm going to hang up and listen, but I'm going to come back with some more stuff. You're wrong on this, man. You can't be teaching people that the mini-millennial reign is not literal. That's wrong. No, the reign is of crisis now.

And Christians need to get off their lazy rears and start behaving like it. Instead of waiting for an escapist occurrence, they don't worry about the world now. We're supposed to act like kings and priests inside of the kingdom, which Jesus says is here and now. He said it, and I read you the verses where he said so. And the gates of hell will not prevail against the church.

People are afraid of the gates of hell. They think that they're aggressive. No, the gates are defensive, which means the Christian church is moving against the evil. And we can do that because we're kings and priests in Christ, who's now reigning. That's the biblical position.

And Christians need to start believing that instead of the escapist idiocy that's being taught from so many pulpits that causes people to be apathetic about what we need to do in this world.

Okay? There.

Okay, I got one more question, and I'm going to hang out and let you talk.

Okay, all right.

Now, I want to leave you with this one. What is God going to do with all the people who've never been taught? Who died? Oh, now hold on before you I am not finished. All of the kids that passed away, car accidents, murder, That not before the age of accountability.

What are you going to do with those? And also, the little board aborted new babies that never, he says, I knew you before you were formed. Where's when are all these people going to get a chance?

Now I'm going to hang up and listen, see what you're going to say about this because it doesn't line up. I think they're going to get a chance in the millennial reign, and you can't dispute that. You better think this over, Matt. You better you better. All right, cool.

I know you found a lot of good stuff, but you you you better rethink this, man. I'm telling you. Yeah, I'm not sure. You people Okay, all right, Cole.

Okay. Okay, we're going to move along, Cole. And there is no age of accountability in the Bible, ladies and gentlemen. Nothing in the Bible says that. And it says, I know you before you're born.

It has to do with a salvific relationship. God says, I know you, means you're saved. We can get into all that kind of stuff. We're going to get back on the air afterwards with Martin from Virginia. And the note says he wants to straighten me out.

Awesome. This is going to be good.

So, hey, we'll be right back, folks, after these messages. If you want to give me a call, the number is 877-207-2077. We'll be right back. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick.

All right, everybody, welcome back to the show. And if you want to give me a call, you can, 877-207-2276 Martin. Welcome. You're on the air. Hey, Matt, thank you again for your ministry.

Just wanted to kind of straighten you out here.

So, it's a couple quick questions. Good. Do you believe that two plus two is four? Yes. All right.

Do you believe that men could become women? Yeah. All right.

Do you believe the earth is flat? No. I think we're kind of pretty straight now. Yeah, I can straighten some stuff out.

So hey, um the revelations. Um It was uh I think Revelations 2 Twenty. I think it talks about Uh the beasts and the false prophet. Yeah, I I'm driving so I'm So you wanna know about the beast? And so the beast comes out.

That's Revelation 11. The beast is there. I think also in. Maybe Revelation 14 or Revelation 20.

Okay. Yeah, yeah. And then it talked about the false prophets. Can you enlighten me a little bit about the beast and the false prophet? What are those personas?

That's actually a really good question. And to be honest, I'm not exactly sure. The false prophet certainly seems to be a human being who rises up and proclaims who the Antichrist is. I think this is typological of John the Baptist, who's the last prophet. And he foretold the way of the Messiah, the Christ.

I think the false prophet will bear the and try and open the doors and the way for the Antichrist. And so the beast, some say that it's the Antichrist himself, some say it's kind of the prophet, and some have said other things, you know, like the Roman Catholic Church.

Some even said, oh, it's AI, you know, and things like that. It's kind of up for grabs a little bit.

Okay. I thought somewhere in Revelations it talks about. the three personas of Satan, the beasts, And I'll get on the lake of fire or something like that. Yeah, I think it's Revelation 2010. Let me look.

A devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire, and brimstone the beast and the false prophets are also. Yes. Mm-hmm. And so that to me, that means there's no judgment for them. No, that is judgment.

That is the judgment thrown into the fire. Right.

That's judgment. That would be. Right.

Yeah, you're getting punishment, right? But I think like in When Christ comes back to judge the earth. They're not included. Um it's a good you know, I never thought about that. I wonder if they're I wonder, are they doing that?

That's a good question. I think Satan, there's no judgment for Satan, right? I mean, that's a done deal.

Well, no, there is a judgment. He's going to be judged to eternal damnation. They're all going to be judged. But. It says, This is what's interesting in Revelation 20: when a thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison.

He'll come out to deceive the nations, okay, which we talked about. earlier. And went to the four corners of the earth, God Magog.

So it's specifically saying who it you know, and so most people think God Magog is Russia and Moscow, Magigig. It goes into some weird etymology. And they came up in the broad surrounded the camp of the saints in the beloved city. And fire came down from heaven and destroyed them. The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone.

You know, it's really interesting. Seriously, I don't know how to work this out because. If the if Even from my perspective, aw-mill or the pre-mill perspective, I don't see how this really makes sense. Exactly. Because He's released, and then fire comes down and destroys.

That's when he's cast out, tormented day and night.

So it kind of makes sense to say this happens at the very end of the millennial time. And I think this is basically the the answer, and it works for both views.

Okay? Yeah, I was trying to shuffle that deck in my mind a few times. I keep coming up with different views of like. Man, Revelations is kind of throwing me for a loot of. Yeah, and it does.

No, I'm custom. I just joined me for a loop. Hello, OP. Yeah, and it's fair to do that, you know, because it's like I believe in all millennialism, but I'll say to somebody, no, I think it's a better verse for pre-mill. Because I'm not going to put all my eggs in this basket.

But You know, there's some really interesting stuff. And this two-age model is something I think that the premillennialists have never really considered. I think it's very problematic. I think it's a huge gaping hole in their view. I think it needs to be put in there.

And I think there's some weak sides to the Omil position as well. I do. And uh Yeah. I'm still ciphering it out and I'm gonna look at some more Other angles, I'll look at what August I mean, there's other saints, Augustine, and other thinkers that thought through some of that stuff. I just have a look at some of their wording on it.

Yeah. But try that. Oh, go ahead. I was going to say, try this. Look at, this is a serious study.

you'll really find it very interesting and very helpful, very revelatory. Assume the truth of this age and the age to come, which is what the Bible teaches. And then what happens at the end of the age? And you'll see that the judgment of the wicked occurs at the last age with the last trumpet. Then you look up, well, what's the last trumpet?

And then that'll lead to the return of this. And then, well, what's that return? And you start doing these and you start seeing they're all interrelated. and it becomes very interesting what you find.

Okay. That's interesting. I did this once and was surprised by what I found. surprised. Yeah.

All right, sir. Thank you. I will let you get to other callers.

Well, we got nobody waiting right now.

So, hey, if you want to stay on, that's okay. Did you catch anything from the uh Anthony Fauci cleaned my fist. Uh geez, fauci. I knew he was a charlatan when I first saw him. And uh the only clip I saw was when he wasn't answering any questions.

You know, he's just. It's just bad news. I knew we were being conned back in the day. Yeah, I knew it. I never took this shot at the jab.

It's kind of weird when someone's kind of confessing to themselves in their internal memoirs that. what they confessed to the public was just not at all what he confessed to himself. Mm-hmm. That's right. These are full of hypocrites.

And this is what the Bible talks about. There'd be hypocritical people, their consciences are seared. And they're going to be in control. Do you think that they're going to support Christianity, for example? Heck no.

Okay. No, no, yeah, you can tell by their actions. Yep. That's right. And uh I gotta find this article Which I think is more and more relevant.

Article on the idea that the human brain. uh changes when uh a person gets in power. And uh you see that with uh Like the rock star band mentality, the politicians mentality, the yeah, yeah, the power mentality. There's sort of a An ego boost. on turbo once It just keeps feeding off that.

Yeah, and I read an article on this, and I'm trying to find the article. I'm just now starting to look. I'm looking, you know, doing a little search for it online. But I read this article, and it was very interesting because it's important to our political leaders. If they don't have Christ in them, They're going to have something else in them.

And then, when they get in power, if it's the case, which seems to be the research, that the physical brain starts to alter because they get in power and it feeds on itself. Power to the physical brain alteration, it loops and they become more and more deceived and more and more desirous of power and influence.

Well, if that's the case. and they don't have Christ in their hearts to govern that and guide that. Then they're going to serve themselves and be open to demonic work and oppression. And so we see, as I'm sure you're aware of, there's a lot of deceivers out there in politics who can't see straight. Right, yeah.

I mean, when you look sometimes at the people that are. Trying to fill the political Peaks that are out there. And you can see the people that are not humble and they're not meek. They are about the power that they want. to pour tray.

It's uh It's very telling. It's very mesmerizing to some of the people in these inner cities that just want to feed off that. Move that way unfortunately. Right.

Okay, good. I got some research. The Power Paradox, Greater Good Science Center, The Power Paradise and Brain by Huxley. Power Damages Our Capacity for Compassion and Empathy, The Disability Inclusion Challenge. All these articles that I came up with.

And I'm tempted to go through and check them out and maybe work up an article because it's important. Because it works in political power. It works in power in business. When you're a boss of someone, and it works in religious circles as well. And you've got to have Christ in you.

To govern these things, to put the balance of checks, check and balance in there, so that you don't become. egotistical and controlling. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I agree.

Yeah, I think it's important. Yep. Mm man, look at this good stuff. Good stuff. I'm gonna check this out.

I'm interested in it. I've been wanting to do research on it. I think it's about time I do. Yeah. All right.

That's good stuff, man. All right, Matt.

Well, I appreciate you. Thanks. All right, better. God bless. God bless.

Goodbye.

Well, let's see. We've got about three minutes left on the show, so I can fill three minutes because we've got nobody waiting.

So folks, look about all mill, pre-mill, post-mill. Look. I have my position and you have your position. It's okay to disagree and that's fine. If you do, do so because you see what the Bible says, not because what you think the Bible says.

What I try and do with people is to get them to be challenged. If they're challenged and they go study hard and they're more convinced of their position, okay, that's good. That's fine. Because not enough Christians are really studying the Word of God to see if what they're holding to is biblical. And too many Christians just like sheep just go down the path, whatever they're taught, and they believe it.

And they hear things, and then they'll gather teachers to confirm what it is that they've heard. And that's one of the things I've been told: I don't do that with people. I will shake them up. And it's not because I just want to shake up people for that purpose, it's because, well, wait a minute. What about this?

What about that? Because I'm not loyal to a denomination. I don't have to tote. a denominational line or salute a denominational flag. I don't have to.

I just look at it and say Or what does it say? I'm gonna believe what it says. Like cessationism, there are denominations where you're not allowed to believe the continuation of the charismatic gifts.

Well, I do. Why? 1 Corinthians 1.7, for example, says, you're not to lack any charismatic gift while you're waiting for the return of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1.7. Stuff like that.

Well, that tells me they're still for today. And then in Corinthians 14:1, pursue the spiritual gifts. It says, Well, I guess that's not available today, right?

Well, I don't believe that.

So you see. I'm free, more free in some situations to be able to, I think, see things. It doesn't mean I see it objectively at all times, and I'm not saying that. And maybe others who are denominationally minded can see things better than I can in other areas. That's fine.

I don't have any problem being corrected, and I need that because hey, you know, I need that.

So but I try and get people to think and to be challenged. And I will I'm glad to say that many times people have said to me, Matt, I listened to you, you challenged what I said, you caused me to think. And then they'll say, and then the result of that, blah, blah, blah. And it's, you know, I'm not so much interested in the result as the issue of them being caused to think. And to examine God's word.

That's really what I like. And then I want to hear what they conclude afterwards.

Sometimes they conclude things that I believe, and sometimes not. And I'm okay with both. As long as it's not heresies and denying who Christ is. But praise God, you know, and that's what we're doing. And hopefully, I could be able to challenge you guys out there, radio land even more.

and that uh you'll always be cautious. From listening to a guy on the radio named Slick, you can't trust that kind of guy. Trust the word of God, trust Jesus, and compare everything I say and your pastor's words to the word of God. Amen. Amen.

Hey, there's the music. I am out of here. May the Lord bless you and by his grace. Back on here tomorrow. We'll talk to you then.

God bless. Another program powered by the Truth Network.
