So, I think what I'm going to do is talk about an article I've been working on just today a little bit. And um about praying to the saints. And this is something that This is something really important. It really is. And um For the Catholics and Eastern Orthodox do it, and they, by the millions and millions and millions, they pray.

uh to marry to saints Whoever, whatever. And the apostasy of those religions. is so prevalent So obvious, so deep. Yet these people are duped. into this idolatrous form of of um Well, adoration and ascribing to creatures things that belong to God.

So I'm going to go over just a little bit here, beginning of the show. And so I'm working on this article, and this is the first draft. Mm-hmm.

So why is praying to saints a form of idolatry? The reasons are it ascribes divine attributes to creatures.

So for it For instance, it grants them being able to hear and comprehend unspoken prayers of millions of people simultaneously. And this is something that belongs to God alone, because it says in 1 Kings 8:39, He alone knows the hearts of people.

So this it belongs to God, not us. And this is idolatry whenever you attribute to the creature that which belongs to God alone. And it actually says in 1 Kings 8.39, he alone knows the hearts of people.

Now, I'll bring it up in a little bit here why this is logically problematic for the false religions of Eastern Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism. And yes, I did say false religions. If you're a new listener, uh neither one of those religions is truly Christian. They are false religions or apostate because they teach a false gospel, promote a false priesthood, and promote idolatry. And I will die on that hill.

That's firmly what I believe and will continue to teach because that's what scripture says. I know a lot of people will be offended by that. I really don't care. Uh my my concern is to honor God before I honor you. My concern is to speak what God says, not what you want.

I'm not interested in In um Just shaving off the blunt edges of of truth to make it more palatable for people to hold. I want them to be faced with the word of God because eternity is a long time to be wrong.

So look. There are attributes of blonde god alone. And these are the essential attributes. They are non-communicable. The non-communicable attributes of God are such things as he's everywhere, you know, we're not.

Uh it cannot be communicated to us. He knows all things we cannot, etcetera.

Now, the communicable attributes of God are such things as He can think, we can think, He can reason, we can reason. He can love, we can love.

Now, he doesn't perfectly, but we don't.

Alright, so those are called the communicable attributes, and those are the attributes that belong to us, and that's what it means to be made in the image of God. In those attributes that belong to him that can be communicated to us.

Now When it says in 1 Kings 8.39 that God alone knows the hearts of men, Let me get into this logically. Why is that the case?

Well, it's because one of the reasons, logically, is because he indwells the minds of all people. He knows the thoughts. In order to know the thoughts of people, he's got to be there. In their mind, somehow, some way. Unless there's a completely different logical.

possibility that I'm not aware of, and other theologians that have discussed this are not aware of. I'm going to just go with this: the reason God knows the hearts and minds of people is because, well, He's there in them.

Now it's not the permanent indwelling as He does with the creature with the Christians, where He lives us, makes His abode in us because we're born again. That's not it. This deals with the difference I mean the category of God knowing all things and being everywhere. Most logicians that I've studied on this will assert, and logically so, that the reason God knows the hearts of people and the minds of people is because He can hear them, He's there.

Somehow, some way in them.

So the omnipresence is a property of God alone, and multipresence. is a subcategory of omnipresence. Multipresence is being in more than one place at a time. But not in every place, God alone is in every place.

So, what they'll do, the Catholics and Eastern Orthodox, they'll say that the saints are married. Can possess multipresence, that they can be in the minds of millions of people simultaneously.

Now this is logically problematic because it then means that that their nature has to be changed because How do we now have a human being who is the presence of multi-million locations all at once? This is an attribute that belongs to God. And the general excuse is: well, God can do anything, He can make you do that. And This is an argument from silence, and it's an argument we refer to as argumentum ed populum, not populum, excuse me, ad absurdum. Because if God can make her make uh them do that, then can God make Mary big enough to eat Jupiter?

This is an actual analogy I've used in illustration, and I had people say, Yeah, of course. Can God make Mary bigger than the universe? And they go, Of course He can. Just dumb things that they don't even think through. Because they're so used to and accustomed to their idolatry that they can't think cr critically or clearly.

So, what they're doing is giving to Mary and the saints the ability that belongs to God alone, knowing the hearts and minds of people.

Now this is idolatry by nature. That's what idolatry is. You'd think that the East Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches would be on this like a monkey in a cupcake, ripping it up, saying, Don't do that, don't pray to them, don't do this. That's logically impossible. Logically, it doesn't work.

Biblically, it's never stated as being done. But no, they don't do that. And the reason they don't is because their authority is not with God, it's with themselves. Because if the word of God is the final authority. Then they had to submit to the Word of God.

But the Word of God is not the final authority with the EO and the RC. They themselves are their church. Their church has the authority. Or it's equal to the Bible, and so therefore they tell us what it really means in their blasphemous, idolatrous teachings. that they violate the word of God.

and they preach a false gospel. They're in the service of the evil one. because they preach a false gospel. Oh man, do they. And they promote a false priesthood, a priesthood that has an altar and a church with a guy with special garments and special authority who can change the elements into the very nature of God's being.

It's just ridiculous. And then through this procedure, you can receive forgiveness of sins and the administration of grace into your soul. I mean this is just preposterous stuff. It's not found in Scripture, but no. It's essential to the structure of those two churches, Roman Catholic and East and Orthodox.

Yet it's what they teach, and it's just blasphemous. Blasphemous. You should all acknowledge that it's blasphemous. Don't consider your Catholic and Roman Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox friends Christians. Don't consider them Christians.

They might really be, in spite of what the official teachings of those two churches are, but don't just assume they are. They're idolaters. They believe in a false gospel.

Alright, now. Back to the issue here. Let's say the second option, logically speaking. The saints have access to millions of minds. We talked about that.

What about God giving them the prayers? What this means is one of the things that the EONRC adherents have told me is that God can convey those silent prayers of the saints to Mary, for example, and the saints. You can hear them because they acknowledge 1 Kings 8:39 says God alone knows the hearts of the minds of the people.

So they'll they see that, so they try and adapt and they'll say, Well, God conveys them.

Well, here's a question: if God conveys them to them, why does He need to do that to them? He's got them all. He's God. I could just see the the uh in the halls of uh Of the upper echelons of at least Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism, their priesthood people talking with their officials. Eh, you know?

All they're going to do is say, God just has a million prayers He collects from the minds of people and He gives them to Mary. and she can understand all of em all at once. And someone comes along and says, Well, why would He'd give him to her to answer. Why does he just answer him? Don't ask dumb questions.

Our Church is the authority. We will ask those questions and we choose not to ask it.

So, this is the kind of stuff I believe happens in their circles. They're so blasphemous. they are so idolatrous. that they cannot see their own great sin. and they help others to fall into the abyss, sliding down.

the slippery slope. of false teaching and um And their own authority that they claim comes from God because they have apostolic authority and succession. That's a load of baloney. And they teach this stuff.

Now If God gives the ability of someone to hear Or convey or understand or comprehend a million prayers. What if you're walking around? And God gives you a million prayers that are spoken. let's say different languages. and each one is ten seconds long.

Let's just say. And all of a sudden, boom, it's in your mind. what would happen to you.

Well, you'd think you're going crazy, or you'd go crazy, or you'd wonder what that cacophony of a blur of noise, of a million voices, you'd recognize any of them, just a blur of sound. But no. Suddenly the saints in heaven, their natures are somehow altered to such that now they can comprehend them all. out of the millions of blurs of all this cacophony of sounds. Oh, you can c comprehend.

know the context, know the hearts of the people. Know the intentions. This is Stupid. It's idolatry. The Roman Catholic and East Orthodox churches promote Idolatry.

And we should recognize it for what it is. a false teaching and a false church.

Now this is just the issue of Praying to the saints. This prayer stuff. And of course, it's not biblical. In fact, let me see. I think I wrote a.

Let's see. Yeah. I wrote an article and released it yesterday. Um I write a lot of stuff. the New Testament prescriptions for church practice, and what the Bible does not teach.

You know what it does not teach to do, that the EO and the RC do? Apostolic succession, authority of bishops. papal infallibility. essence, energies, distinction, icons, and images used in worship. Indulgences, last rites, Mediators in addition to Christ, Mary is co-redemptrix, mediatrix, queen of heaven.

be without sin. Penance, pilgrimages, a priesthood where you have a confession to a priest. Standing who stands between believers and God. a priest with a special class of vestments. Prayers for the dead.

Prayers to saints purgatory sacraments. Seven sacraments. All this stuff is just not taught in scripture. And yet, this is what makes up the fundamental aspects of their church. You can tell.

They're not of God. These churches are not of God. The Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 2. Before the return of Christ. Before the Antichrist comes there must be an apostasy.

Personally, I believe the Roman Catholic and the East Orthodox churches are fully apostate. Fully. False gospel. the false priesthood, Promote idolatry. Absolutely apostate.

All right, everyone, welcome back to the show. Hope you enjoyed the opening segment there. Let's get to Jermaine from California. Jermaine, welcome. You're on the air.

Hey, Matt, just um enjoying what you had to say about the Roman Catholic Church, I wish you'd really express yourself. I didn't quite get it though. You know, I go on Discord a lot, and people have recorded me saying. Things and they'll play them back. They try and mock me with them.

And I've said the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholics, in the context I was talking about, those who adhere to their official doctrines, I said, are children of the devil. And they'll take that and they'll isolate that and they'll use that. But, you know, I'll say what it is because those churches are false. They are false. But anyway, go ahead, brother.

Okay. Yeah, so my question is kind of a continuation from the last time I called.

So I have a relative and they were having some serious marital issues And basically The spouse was having an affair. And she actually had the nerve to show up to a church they were attending. and took communion with Her lover. You mean she was committing adultery. Yeah, I call it adultery.

I say, oh, having an affair. Yeah, with she's an adulteress and with the guy she's committing adultery with. Yeah, okay. Yeah, it was adultery, and it was blatant in your face, and they've had a long, unfortunately war, but. I did this a couple of times.

And I heard their arguments, and it was something to the effect of, well, you know, God still hears my prayers. Refusing to address what she does, adultery.

Now, The reason I'm calling is not because of that. It's because Apparently something happened At uh, I guess their grandmother's home. where it was it sounded like a demonic disturbance and You know, my cousin is going through this. He's he's never, ever called me.

so excitable before and his children everyone in the house swore that they were experiencing these supernatural disturbances. And and the grandmother who was in the hospital at the time, she around the same time, she was awoken and had some strange things going on and I was wondering is part of that Could part of that be from taking Communion in just an unholy state. And also, I do know that this person. And I pray for them. I'm not trying to slander or anything, but I know they participated in.

I think it was a a Reiki. Ritual and some other new age stuff And I had warned her like a while ago, I said, hey, you really want to get a hold of that? I would not allow that in my home. And well, fast forward, here we are now. They're having all these encounters and To the point where people want to leave the house, but it doesn't seem to and there's no remedy.

Let me ask you about this Reiki Reiki. I don't know how to pronounce it, but the Riki is how I. whatever. What did.

So you say they did a. a ritual, right? The wife did. The wife participated in the Reiki and then also had her. The shops were red and past lives, that kind of stuff.

And this is the one who claims to be a Christian and took communion? Is that correct? Oh, we lost him. Got to get him back on here because this is interesting. And so, when he gets back on, hopefully, there he comes.

All right, let's get him back in here. Let's try this. Hey, buddy, you still there? Yeah, I'm here.

Okay. So was it the w the adulterous woman who was doing the Reiki and chakra balancing? Uh yes. Wow.

Okay. All right. Wow.

Okay, so the fact that she took communion in a blasphemous way.

Well, I'm gonna mute you, buddy. I'm gonna mute you.

Okay, just muting you there because you remain because it was awfully noisy there. I'll unmute you here a little bit.

So, I hope you can hear this, but because she's taken the communion in an unworthy manner, and she's also participated in occult ceremonies, most definitely, the possibility and probability even of demonic doors being opened, and that the house is now, let's just say, a war ground and they need to deal with it. and she needs to be out of there. For one thing, and we can go through stuff about what to do, but now you're back on, buddy.

So, yeah, very serious, very serious problem. Yep.

Okay, um How What would you advise someone to stop this sort of thing because it I know for my cousin, they go through periods of separation, trying to work it out and all, but he's experienced nothing. when he's alone. But when it's with her Yeah. Yeah. It it sounds from what you're saying, I'm just I'm just going to go off of what you're saying is a is completely accurate and these things are there and it's patterned.

Then we would know that she is the one who is in demonic um uh connection Now she could either be possessed at this time or, it's possible, just oppressed because she's opened the door through the demonic activity that she's done and invited this this realm into her life. And so she becomes a door herself, and where she goes, these things follow.

So, this is a possibility, and it needs to be taken very, very seriously. And the people in the house. They They need to become Christians. They need to know who Jesus is, the gospel really is. And they need to close the doors and get rid of her.

I don't mean to do anything bad, but she can't come back. You've got to stay out of the house. Things like that. We could talk about a lot of stuff like that. Yeah.

Yeah. Okay, yeah, and I'll actually run that by him. I just know he's. he feels fine when he's away from her. And That's just where it is.

But just just the way you describe is pretty much what was going on. Yeah, um And did you know this woman personally? Uh yes, I do.

Okay. All right, buddy.

So Um I'm curious. If you meet her, what might happen, if you sense anything, or if nothing happens, or you don't feel anything, keep it keep tabs on what people say happened. when she's around. Just see if there's something Um amiss. Just to see, you know.

And if you start praying about this, it's like stirring the pot. And that's doable, but you know, you're a strong Christian, so you can handle it, but um. Just be just be ready for a little bit of a spiritual battle. that might be uh might be there. That as far as the people in the house go, we can talk about what they need to do.

I I'd be willing to get in the phone. With them, if they think that something's in the house, or if they just think it's just her. And it's not there when she's there. they're basically okay. But um if things like this continue after she's gone, then we need to talk about what to do at that point.

Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I'll do that. I'll just say there's a pattern of staying away from strong Christians. With people like this engaging this behavior, but everyone has pointed to her, including her own.

Grandmother and father, they all asked, What in the world did you do?

So I will pray about it and I'll advise them to Praise Lil. and and maybe keep their distance so she's ready to repent and get away from this lifestyle. Yeah, i the combination of taking communion and doing Riki occult healing rituals and things like this, which is absolutely demonic. Chakra balancing is a lot of people don't know what chakras are. It's an Eastern mysticism energy balancing thing.

So your body has different energy focuses, according to their theory, and you can transfer the energy from one place to another to do healings and insight into the spiritual realm. Completely occultic. I should do it. back. back when I was.

Back in the day. As a Christian, I did chakra balancing. Oh man, I'm so glad God saved me. Hey, Jimmy, hold on, buddy. We'll be right back after these messages.

So I don't know if you had any more comments, because I certainly do about this Reiki stuff, Reiki, Reiki stuff. It's pretty bad. We could talk about that too, what it is.

So just it's it's a repeated habitual just unrepentant sin. and to the point where this person is I'll just say the last I heard was when confronted saying they all know why this is going on, she told her husband she was sorry. But she they can't guarantee she's going to stop seeing the other person. And at that point, he knew. she was in for some more trouble.

Uh Yeah, he yeah, he Is he a Christian? She's a proclaiming Christian who says God still hears her prayers. Yeah, yeah. I I would dispute that. Yeah, but the husband.

The husband is a believer.

Okay. Yeah, the husband then he needs to be involved with the elders and if she becomes unrepentant becomes if she's unrepentant he has the option of divorce. I'm not saying he should. I'm just saying it's on the table because if she's committing adultery and also is involved in the occult, then she has absolutely broken her covenant. before God and before people, if they're married in a Christian uh setting especially.

And he needs to be involved with the elders. He needs to be taken under the wing by people who know him, who care about him. And you can help him through this because the emotional stress will become difficult and it might. Make him make bad judgments, even spiritual ones. And so just need friends and family to come alongside of him.

But the elders of the church need to be involved with this. I don't know if they are or not though. Do you know?

Okay, um and I could pick up part a part two or three next time we talk 'cause there I did hear a situation where he has proved he has actually pursue divorce, but uh she's refusing to sign. And so he's they just go through the cycle of trying to work it out and trying to divorce and it's just a nightmare for the family. Yeah, then there's legal recourse there. If she refuses and he wants that divorce because of her continued sinful unrepentance, then he may be stuck depending on the legality, but he needs to consider himself to be divorced, even though legally not divorced. But then during this time, he can't date anybody else, see anybody else, or anything like that.

Um So anyway, yeah, i it's it's bad stuff. Yeah, it's a bad situation. It's what sin does. Bad stuff. Yeah, yeah, very ugly.

I wish Jermaine lived near me because we'd hang out. He's a good guy, I like him.

Well, it's Reiki. I looked up how to pronounce it, Reiki. And it is an Eastern mysticism occult practice. They think, let me put it this way. If you believe that there's an energy force out there.

as some religions do. an energy force that's impersonal. Not personal, but impersonal, like radar, like heat. Like whatever. And it's impersonal to force.

then there are different means of getting in touch with this force. One of them is through Yoga, believe it or not.

Okay. Another one is through Reiki. Another one is through Ouija boards. Another one is through um meditation. the New Age movement and other areas that believe or teach to some degree, there's variations in this.

that there is an energy out there that we can get in contact with.

So Buddhism is like that, and they say Namaho Ringa Pyo And it is a phrase that helps them get in tune with this. energy.

Now. With some groups, they'll say that this energy has a divine quality. Of course, it's going to have a divine quality. Because if you get involved with a divine energy and it rubs off on you and it's impersonal and becomes inside of you, then you can become divine. This kind of self-exaltation and extreme self-deception is supported by the idea of an impersonal universal force.

I remember once I was in my many jobs I had before seminary, right after seminary, going to school and all that. One of them was selling carpet, believe it or not. I sold carpet. And I remember discussing the carpet with a guy. I learned a lot of stuff.

I used to saw all kinds of stuff, especially with my last name. It was fun. At any rate, long discussions.

So this guy he told me how he got his Lexus. It's back in the uh Back in the 90s, he got his Lexus and he told, I remember this. He said he specifically, what he did was he prayed to become in tune with the divine consciousness. of the universe.

Now with this guy the consciousness was personal. But it's kind of in the new age, the consciousness, a Christ consciousness, can be both personal and kind of impersonal. There's a mixture of varying views. It just is a mishmash of things. But I remember this conversation because I was going to go to seminary at the time.

I was getting ready to go, or something like that. I can't remember the details of it so long ago. And um so we got talking. And he said All he did was just get in tune with the divine consciousness. and he visualized what he wanted and it came to him.

And I said Um, okay. How do you know it wasn't a demonic force? Giving you what you wanted so that you'd be deceived to believe this energy is from God. And he didn't know what to do with that, okay? Because what do you do?

How do you know? And There's no way to verify. It's just uh a deception. I said you'd be deceived. Demonic forces are out there, they can arrange things.

And you pray, and you get this Christ consciousness desire, this universal impersonal, whatever it is, or whatever it is, you know. And the demonic forces know about this, they arrange stuff. and uh see, it works, it must be true. this kind of thing. This would be great deception, wouldn't it?

And Let's just say he was very polite. It was a great conversation. But he wasn't able to do with that very much. In fact, that reminds me of another conversation I had during seminary. I actually did some research for a paper, one of the classes, and I wanted to do research on a new age idea.

And there was a New Age bookstore in town. And I contacted the owner of the store and I said, Look, I'm a seminary student. I would like an interview of you if I could. I'm not here to debate you, I'm not here to put you down. I just want information.

I want you to be polite to the guy. And he said, okay, in that case, fine. And then.

So uh We talked for about a half hour. I just asked him questions a half hour, I forgot how long. I asked him all kinds of questions, and I was writing all kinds of notes. And I said, okay, well, I'm done. Thank you very much.

And, you know, I was packing up, and he said, Hey, hey, I got a question for you. He says, What do you think of all this? What I was saying. And I s I said, Well, I didn't cover to debate you on it. I said, but if you really want me to, because I agreed not to really give you a hard time on it, I'll tell you if you want.

He said, yeah, I do. I says, I said, you're demonically deceived. He says, because you say that you perceive reality and it's in conscious. As long as you perceive reality, what you desire will come to pass. that you can create your own reality through what you perceive.

I said, that's foolishness. And the reason that is because you can go to a red light at a stoplight and you can say, I believe the red light's green. And the green light's red. I said, you can't live like that. You can't do that.

And the reason you can say these unfounded ideas, you can create your own reality, is because you live in a world where that's not true. Because if you could create your own reality and others did that too, there'd be chaos everywhere. It just doesn't make any sense. And you have to have a super overarching principle that's in guidance of all of that, that denies or affirms whatever it is you want, that then is in in sovereign decrees over what can happen so that you don't have red lights being green and green lights being red and people crashing into each other. And I said, your system doesn't work.

And it only the non-falsifiable aspect of your belief system can have any kind of coherence, not that it does, but any kind, only in a world where that is not the model that you're living by. And he stared at me, you know, and I don't remember all those exact words, but that's the the gist of what I told him. I remember that. And I said, look, you asked me. And he says, Yeah, I did, I did, I asked you.

And I said, This is why you're lost, and this is why you're in trouble. You need Jesus. He died on the cross. He rose from the dead. After three days he rose from the dead.

He proved what he said was right. by that resurrection. You need to trust in him, not energy consciousness and creating your own reality. and your own self-deification. Because there's only one God, and you're not him.

Okay. That was a conversation we had, and that was back in the 90s. I graduated from seminary in 1991.

So either 90 or 91, I had that interview with him. And I got my Master's of Divinity there, Westminster Theological Seminary.

Now her pastor calls himself Pastor, Prophet, Saviour. And she doesn't have to be able to do it. Pastor, prophet, saviour? Yes. That guy needs a spiritual groin kick.

Wow Wow. It's confusing, I don't understand it at all.

So I asked him, why is he calling himself safe here? Yeah. She says when that's his name. His name is Savior.

Well, if it's his last name, okay. And that would take a lot of explaining to do, but if it has his last name, but if he says young pastor Savior, well, it's certainly possible. I mean, my last name is Slick.

So. Yeah. Well, let's just find out. If that's his last name. But if he says it's that's what he's g you know, i I don't really buy that as a She says I don't understand that because she says that's his name.

Well I don't understand why are so many people calling themselves prophets? Is it is it either false prophet? They're arrogant and prideful. Yeah, you see, look. Look, there are prophets in the New Testament sense, and they can prophesy, and this is out of 1 Corinthians 14, and that's not a problem.

But you don't go out and say, hey, I'm a prophet. Because this is the thing about the spiritual charismatic gifts. They're for the edification of the body of Christ, not for your aggrandizement, not for your own edification, not for you.

So We cannot say there's Old Testament style prophets because they wrote scripture, performed miracles. And In the New Testament context, yeah, there are prophets, prophets, but not in the Old Testament style. Like I said, just to reiterate, they can give prophecies. That's not a problem. I don't have any problem with that as long as it's done biblically.

Now When someone says, I am Prophet So-and-so, what they're claiming for themselves is to be in a position. That the Spirit of God works through them specifically in that manner, and they are now a prophet. And this risks a great deal of arrogance and pride. That's like someone saying, I am Apostle so-and-so.

Now, I'm not saying that everyone who claims these titles is an arrogant fool. I'm just saying you be very, very careful about this because if I were to meet someone who says you're apostle so-and-so or the prophet so-and-so, my first reaction is, Well, can we talk about that? What do you mean by that? I'm going to ask questions. And it could be that you're just ignorant and they don't know what's going on, but um.

You know, you know, me, I mean, I got my opinions on a lot of stuff, but even then, when I meet someone like this, I want to diagnose. What do they mean by this? You know, because maybe I'm not understanding them, you know, giving the benefit of the doubt as much as I can. But not being able to meet these people I hear about. They called themselves prophets and apostles.

It's a general warning flag, and the ones I've found and encountered generally are quite prideful. They bring attention to themselves. And You know Here's everything. Once, just once, I prophesied. once over a girl and it came to pass.

And this was thirty I don't know no it's uh it's like 45 years ago. I remember it very clearly. I remember everything about it. And I even like talking about it because I don't want to draw any attention to myself. It doesn't, it's not about me.

That's not it. It's you know, I don't like oh you look at me, I did this No, no, no And I don't say I'm a prophet. Yeah. No, God just condescended to use this fool this one time. And so But that's it.

We need to be humble before God in these spiritual gifts we have and not claim titles of ourselves.

So I'm, you know, an ex-pastor, people have to call me. Pastor Matt, even still.

So when I go to a church and preach, they'll say, What do we call you? I go, Matt. I'm not saying, hey, look how humble I am. I'm saying, yeah, no, just you can call me just Matt's. Matt's fine.

And some people prefer titles like Reverend. Can I call you Reverend Slick? And I said, you can, you're free to do that, but it's not what I prefer. Just call me Matt. You know, that's fine.

Or if you say, hey, doofus, I'm turning my head and saying, yes, what do you want?

So The gifts that God gives us are not for our edification, the edification of others.

Now, when we speak in a tongue, I don't speak in tongues, but if you speak in a tongue without interpretation, your mind is edified, but your spirit is not. Or your spirit is edified, but your mind is not.

Sorry. And it's the only exception I know, where it's it's it could be for your your own personal sense.

I like going to New Age conventions. If someone said, hey, wait, I don't even know. I d I just have a little I know. Football. I don't even know what the best seat is.

What is it? The zero-yard line? Is that what it is? I don't know.

Someone said, right down there by the whatever.

Sorry. It's how ignorant I am. And they said, you could have these, right, these great seats, you know, or you can go to a new age convention. I'd go, New Age convention? Why would I want to sit there and watch a bunch of guys throw balls around when I can go talk to cultists?

I mean, woo! You know?

Okay, that's me. I got issues.

And they'd be like six feet tall and open. You know, just had these bars that you could go in between. And there's a chair in the middle.

And I went to this one guy sitting in there and I said, What are you doing? Can I just ask? What are you doing?

Well, the pyramid concentrates the cosmic energy. It does? And what happens with the cosmic energy? Oh, it it balances your hemispheres of your brain. Oh, it does?

Oh, yes. In fact, I'm feeling it now.
