All right, I think that's it. I think it's about we had a caller coming in. And uh I'm working on some articles. Oh, I got a hiccup there. You ever have a good cup of coffee to mix you hiccup?

It did with me.

Alright, so. Uh, let's see, what am I gonna do? I'm gonna look at this. I got some articles I'm working on. I was thinking about something.

Yeah.

Okay, we'll get to that. Um I got some ideas. I'm thinking about something. And actually. I want to ask you guys out there in Radio Land.

I know that a lot of people, you know, listen on the radio. And I'm going to be doing a lot more on video stuff, so I just want to talk to you guys about that. I wanted some feedback, I want some ideas, some advice. If you're out there and you like video work and stuff like that, and you want to say, Hey, Matt, this is what I think you should do and how you should do it, give me a call.

Now I've got some ideas, but you just never know what uh What might be in store? I've got some ideas. Anyway, now that I'm back from the Texas debate. And uh it w it went well. Um I think that um I'm gonna be doing some more articles and videos.

I'm working on an article, What's Wrong with the Idea of Flourishing as the Proper Moral Standard? Another one, was Jesus Jesus manly and aggressive, or gentle and passive? And another article: What is the difference in salvation in Islam and Christianity? And that's the one. I've been thinking about recently about this issue.

When I was in the debate, Sometimes when you're debating, sometimes when you're preaching and teaching, you'll say something and you go, wait a minute, that's right. It kind of dawns on you. And that's what happened when I was debating my opponent in Dallas on Saturday. Nadir Ahmed. We'll get to that a little bit.

Not a big deal. Just a small something, but I think we'll talk about it. Let's get to. Jermaine from California. Jermaine, you're on the air, buddy.

Hey oh hey Matt, that was um You know, let's take a look at Romans. 10, I think it was 14, and then Joel. What is that now? Joel. two thirty two.

It was ten thirteen and two thirty two and it's a the capitalization of Lord L O R D and I think it was the term is called tetragrammin. I'm probably butchering the pronunciation, but tetragrammaton. Do the touch okay, touch your grandma not.

So I'm aware of some of the history of why that word was was uh kind of changed, but I was Curious about the Jehovah's Witnesses and other other denomina well, not denominations, other groups who like to change that word? Like what justification would they have for it? Because The history I found of the name is it didn't read Jehovah necessarily. It was more the vowels. Yeah.

Yes, that's right.

So it's Yothe Vavhe, and uh we don't really know exactly how it was pronounced. That's the name of God. And what that is, is from uh the Hebrew uh you know to be.

So, um So, when Moses was talking to God, and he said, What's your name? And God says, excuse me, God says, I am that I am, thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, I am has sent me to you. That is where we get Jehovah or Yahweh or the Tetragrammaton, the four letters. Tetra means four gramma writings, the four letters.

So tetragrammatic Yohe Vadhe. And That's what it is. The reason it doesn't appear in the Greek New Testament is because, well, it's Greek. and the tetragrammaton is Hebrew letters. And so uh we have the equivalent of uh Uh the word Lord which was done by the Jews in the Septuagint.

When he did not want to mispronounce God's name, Or misuse it and take it in vain in any way, they started using the term lord, kurias. Uh and that's what that is, okay? The Greek word that is.

So, what would be the justification to change it? I know the Joe's witnesses have a doctrine they like to promote, but what is their justification in that? You mean, uh, I'm sorry, I understand, did Jehovah's Witness change the word Lord, or what? To Jehovah?

Well, they changed Lord for Jehovah. Oh, I s okay.

So uh because Uh Jehovah is just simply an uh an English sized an Anglic Anglicized pronunciation of the of the uh Tetragrammaton. That's all it is. Jehovah works. I think Yahweh is better. Uh but I forget where the origins of of Jehovah, what that is.

But um I could do some research on that. And that's all it is. And it's just okay. I never make a deal out of it when I'm talking to Jehovah's Witnesses.

So uh It's just uh what Yeah. It's what they say, and I'll just work with it, you know?

Okay.

Okay, well that makes sense. And I guess if they're more comfortable, it just I know it plays into their doctrine, but it might not be something that's that's you know, unacceptable. That's unacceptable. I'm sorry, how? No, I'm saying it might not be like you say, you just go in, so it doesn't seem like it's something that's really.

so egregious that we we can't work with them is basically what I'm trying to say. Yeah.

There are hills you want to die on, there's hills you don't want to die on. And uh You know, if you're going to start a conversation with a Jehovah's Witness and you say you have the word Jehovah wrong. You know, depending on the situation, how you use it, it might be fruitful.

Some people might use that. I don't particularly do that. Not to say that I'm right and they're wrong. It's just, yeah, I like to go different ways. I have different things that.

Set them up. to see the truth. That's what that's the intent anyway.

So, the origin of the word Jehovah, you know, from Yahweh, it's, I get it. It's like. Matthias in Greek is and then Matthaion is Baniol, but in English is Matthew.

So which is the right way to say it? Say the one that just works and carries the same meaning. And with Jehovah, that's what that is with a tetragrammaton. And it's, in my opinion, it's just not worth a dying hell that I on. That's all.

Not a big deal. There's other things I'm talking about.

Okay, it makes sense. And the average one I run into, they actually have no clue. Just attributed to the governing body said so, and that's about it.

So that's it. That's it, yeah. And you know, you gotta understand, you should go to a kingdom hall sometime if you're interested. It's really, I haven't been in 20 years, but I used to go in Southern California. They were all over the place.

And when I was starting to study Jehovah's Witnesses in depth, I just would go into the kingdom halls and I wouldn't start any trouble. I wasn't there to witness to them. I was there to only observe. That's what I did. It was very interesting, very enlightening to see the methodology of the brainwashing.

And I remember that very clearly. And uh And then I think in one place they they approached me and asked me questions. And I knew I wasn't coming back, not because they were mean or anything, I just, yeah, I've got my what I need here.

So I started answering them. And after a bit they said, Well, you need to leave.

So, you know, it's just what I expect when you meet someone who can answer questions. and uh and confound them. But that's just what it is, okay? All right. Yeah, thanks a lot, man.

I appreciate it.

Alright, Germaine, you the man, buddy. All right. All right. There we go.

So, hey, look, you're going to give me a call? The number is 877-2072276. And I want to hear from you, so give me a call. You can also email me. Info at carm.org.

Info at CARM. O-R-G. And put the subject line radio comment or radio question now. During my debate on Saturday, I think I mentioned this a little bit yesterday, but I've been thinking about this a lot more. A way to I don't know, that prove Islam is false.

But the idea of what heaven is. In uh in Islam. Uh I think it's very interesting.

So what they What they say basically. is that The men will have lots of women. And wine, So There's going to be a There'd be four rivers, there's going to be atmosphere, there's going to be comforts. But the the main thing in Islamic uh heaven Is, I have to be careful how I'm saying this on radio, but uh Uh Babes and Boos. is basically what it comes down to.

And so I just started thinking about that. And I and during the debate, I made a comment. And I said, That's exactly what you would expect to find from somebody who's making up a religion. who's not encountered the true God. and who would then think that heaven was full of his physical pleasures that he thought was what was good.

It is so obvious to me That this idea of j'ana or heaven in Islam is generated from the mind and heart, of Muhammad. Because think about it. The idea of heaven In Islam, is uh Babes and Boos, Women and Wine. And Isn't that obvious? Isn't that obvious?

It's created by a guy. Isn't it obvious that heaven in that context is Uh women in wine. Um dames and drinking. Babes and boos, women and wine. I love alliterations.

And so I just was thinking about that more and more, and I'll write an article on it. To me, I think it is is quite simply uh Obvious. That such a thing is uh Man mate. You know, what is God? to them.

the presence of God? No they can't enjoy His infinite holiness. They could only enjoy Oh man. Um Women in wine. I gotta be careful how I say things like I said about the radio, but think about it.

They get lots of women. in the afterlife. Uh and I think it's like 70 women. And I've got to be very careful here because I know there might be children listening and driving and stuff like that, you know, schools and all everything. But.

Uh Gap.

So it's seventy-two women in paradise. And um They are described. I'll go through and describe them in the article I'm going to write. But That's what Mohammed came up with, because that's what he thought was cool. And there's some other stuff about um I I won't say it with the radio.

That is mentioned. And I'm going to find the documentation on that. Write an article on the idea of having. in uh in Islam is such a A uh A carnal. The same.

It's carnal. the feeding of the flesh. Forever. is their idea of happiness. And it's not the presence of God that is the standard of holiness and righteousness.

Nope. It is uh physical pleasure. And I remember when I got saved at seventeen, and the presence of God was so powerful.

So wonderful.

So incredible. that He is all I want. His presence. It is simply magnificent. Just unbelievably.

Wonderful. And That's it. That? Or, on the other hand, Uh Women in Wine Okay. Yeah.

So anyway, that's what I've been thinking about. And I write some stuff on the path. There's the music. If you want to give me a call, all you got to do is dial 877. 207-2276.

Okay.

It's Matt Slick Live, taking your call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Everybody, welcome back to the show. If you want to give me a call, all you got to do is dial 877. 207-2276.

Let's get to Tom from Ohio. Tom, welcome. You're on the air. Hi, how's everyone? It's gone.

Going. My question is: I have several if you have time, but. It's good. I believe in I'm a Christian. I wasn't born I didn't grow up as a Christian.

But um Atheism, is that a faith uh Is that a faith? religion? I mean, do they bel I mean, is that a belief system? It is in one sense and it's not in another. It just depends on definitions.

Some atheists will say they lack belief in God. And so, therefore, belief is not part of their worldview. their corpus. It's just not there.

Now philosophically, Atheism can be categorized as a propositional system. A proposition is a statement that's either true or false.

So it's a propositional belief. If an atheist were to say there is no God, then that would be a proposition and therefore belief. But when they say they lack belief, Then they're making a statement as well, but it's harder to tie that into a belief system.

Now, if we would expand further out, we would say atheism is a worldview. A worldview is a set of assumptions and presuppositions that you have. by which you interpret the world.

Now in An atheistic worldview that would necessarily exclude the possibility of God for explanations. Therefore it would not consider that they'd have to consider something else. Generally, what they would do is offer non-divine explanations for phenomena. This means adopting assumptions of such things as secular humanism, materialism, or naturalism. And then there are many subdivisions of stuff.

So, in that sense, atheism is a worldview because it's a view of the world that excludes God. and they interpret things without God, presuppositionally. and they can't demonstrate that there is no God. They have to assume there is no God, so it's propositional in that sense, okay? Make sense?

Uh Yeah. Yeah, I guess it would be. I still think you're still running. I still think you go back to. First.

I still think we end up having to go back to a belief system either way. Um But that's that's just my opinion. Mm-hmm. My uh other question is Where do we get space? I mean, I've heard that some say the universe is.

Like a thread or a A thin line. Either way Either way, space, where do you get it for space? For the universe. You know what I'm saying? Where do you.

You gotta have room for the universe. Correct. Yeah, that would be A conflict of definitions. To say we have to have space to have room for the universe is problematic because the definition of universe is all that exists in space-time.

So You can't have space the universe fits in because that would be the space that it fits in would be part of the universe.

So it just doesn't work that way.

So what they say is space time is all that exists and that is what the universe is.

Now we don't know how how deep it goes. They say they can see ninety three billion light years out and that's it. And so Okay. Yeah, well, you can see how many stars there are. I don't think you can fit them all in that way, but.

That's my opinion, but either. One more question. Sure.

Well, really, is: have you got that? Do you have enough. Yeah, just it's Um, why are we moving Why is everything moving in time? forward instead of backwards? Oh, no, that's a good question.

Because that's how God designed it.

Okay.

Now think about this. Think about this. Take a deck of cards. And you unwrap it out of a deck. they are in order, in suits from ace to king.

Uh they're just in order.

Now Let's say you take that deck of cards and you start shuffling that deck of cards. They become randomized. You just keep shuffling, you throw them into a bucket, you shake the bucket, you make sure that they're all face down or whatever it is, doesn't matter, and you pull them out. You keep doing this, you're going to have a randomized setup. If time was going backwards, then what would happen is the cards would become organized.

Okay.

Yeah, yeah. If time was winning backwards, then we have the issue of things getting more organized, more informational. less chaotic. generally speaking. And this can only go back in time.

So far.

So let me explain something. There's what's called an actual infinite and a potential infinite.

So uh An actual infinite is, for example, you and I are standing on an infinitely flat plane, P-L-A-N-E, flat surface. and in front of us is a row of dominoes. and they go to our left infinitely backwards, and to our right infinitely forward.

Now This is the problem with what's called an actual infinite. Because we hear the dominoes are falling. as he passed us.

Well, what started? the dominoes falling in the infinitely long line. We get in our infinitely fast spaceship. We go down to the beginning, but there is no beginning. We now have a paradox.

that we can't solve, that they're moving, the things are falling, but you have a sequence of events. There has to be a beginning of the sequence of events to have a second, a third, a fourth and so on. And so this becomes very problematic.

So, an actual infinite is difficult. I'm explaining this for a reason. A potential infinite is we walk, that line of dominoes is just standing up vertically. We walk over and let's say you just take one of them and you you knock it over. And it starts at it.

going to the right, that that's an infinitely long line. That's called a potential infinite. Because as soon as you stop to measure how many have fallen, you have a finite number. but with an actual infinite you can never measure. What is the number of fallen dominoes?

It's impossible. And there's other problems that arise, but at any rate. if you go back in time then you're going to arrive at the initial starting point. Which can only be God.

So we are not designed to go backwards, we're designed to go forward in what's called the potential infinite. We have a beginning and we're going to let it uh go forward. But if everything was going backward, then if it was going backward for an infinite long time for that time, then we would already be at the point of origin. And we're not.

So you see the oh see what I'm saying about these problems and issues.

Okay.

I just like the Just to see what different people's uh since I have listened to you talk about Um Theories Mm-hmm. Uh I thought I might give you that one to see what your opinion was. Thank you for your help. Yeah.

Yeah, sure. No problem. Yeah, I've actually talked about this before and heard things before and remember stuff. The cards is an interesting example. If you're you'll that's how you know if you're going backwards in time, is if when you shuffle cards, they become more organized.

Just an example.

Okay? Yes.

Alright, thank you for your help.

Okay.

Well, we got nobody waiting. If you want to give me a call, you can. 8772 07-2276. decouper these messages. It's Matt Slick Live, taking a call at 877-207-2276.

Here's Matt Slick. Everybody, welcome back to the show. If you want to give me a call, it is easy. All you got to do is dial 8772072276. Let's get to Greg from North Carolina.

Greg, welcome. You're on the air. Oh shit. Hey, how you doing? I have a question about um I'm going into the president and Been talking to the guys in the prison.

There's one guy I've been talking to for quite a little couple months. uh actually it's close to a year and he He he seems to keep coming up with stuff. peeling away layers about himself. And the latest one was last night he was saying that he Does it Oh. and the Holy Spirit.

And I didn't hear that. He, what, the Holy Spirit? He's something the Holy Spirit. Yeah, he says he doesn't believe in the Holy Spirit. I brought up the.

I can't remember where it's at, but Bert talks about Jesus saying to his disciples, he has to go away so that He can send Of the comforter when he's gone. And I brought that up to him, and he said, Well, that's talking about Jesus. And I was like, I was going to say to him, Well, why would Jesus say I'm going away so I could send When it's himself, you know, why would he say that? But I didn't know if you had anything else deeper that, you know, to. And I'm not trying to.

Hold on, hold on.

So, what does he mean by he doesn't believe in the Holy Spirit? What does that mean? He does not acknowledge at all. He doesn't believe in hell. He doesn't believe.

Focus on just the Holy Spirit right now.

So he doesn't believe the Holy Spirit exists as a person. He doesn't believe in the Trinity.

Okay.

Yeah, as a person. Yes.

He says. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Hold on.

So he doesn't believe the Holy Spirit exists as a person. Does he believe the Holy Spirit exists as a force? Yes and no. He he does, you know, that. Oh no.

All right. So then, if then you had to ask him, what do you mean by the Holy Spirit? What is the Holy Spirit? that you don't believe in.

Well, he says it's only mentioned a couple times in the Bible, and I'm like, well. It's mentioned a few more than a couple of times. I mean, the worst I brought up, I thought that was a. a fairly good r us.

Something good to bring up to him about, you know, that when Jesus said he has to go away and just in order to put. It is, but but here's the thing I'm saying, is the way uh I think is I always need to know what do they mean by what they're saying. I need to know. I don't want to assume anything. I'm going to say, well, what do you think the Holy Spirit is that it doesn't exist?

Because the Holy Spirit is mentioned, the phrase is the couplet Holy Spirit, is 93 occurrences in the Bible. Oh, is it?

So, what is it that he says it is that he doesn't believe in? You always have to get to the bottom of what somebody's saying.

So if someone says I'm going to be in the Holy Spirit. Yeah, he said that he didn't believe in the Trinity. He believes in Father and the Son.

Okay, I got you. I got you. One thing at a time, you focus on one thing at a time.

So he says the Holy Spirit. We talk about Trinity next and other things.

So I'm going to always ask him, what do you mean by this? What is it the Holy Spirit that you think it is that you don't believe in? It's going to be, it'll require him to think through what it is he's saying that he's denying.

Sometimes people will say to me, Well, I don't believe in the Trinity.

Okay, what do you think the Trinity is?

Well, it's three gods.

Well, that's not what the Trinity is.

So we think the Holy Spirit is. If it's a force.

Well, then you go to my website, you have up a sheet printed out, and you show him where the Holy Spirit speaks, has a will, can be grieved. And you say, what do you do? Instead of saying, you're wrong, this is why, you say, what do you do with these verses where the Holy Spirit speaks just like Jesus speaks, has a will, just like Jesus has a will. What do you do with those? And just ask.

Okay.

You see what I'm saying? Yeah, I see what you're saying.

So I go to your website and pull up about the Holy Spirit, I guess, or something. Yeah.

Yes.

Yes, I've written a lot on the Holy Spirit, and you can go there. And you can look up articles just on the Holy Spirit. Type in the Holy Spirit. One of them is an article, verses showing identity, ministry, and personhood of the Holy Spirit. I wrote it back in 2009.

That would be the one that would be the best one to look up at, I think. That would be the best one, I think, to pull up. I think that would be the one that You can print up the article, you can copy the, you know, just highlight it, the, just highlight it, or whatever you want to do, and put it into Word or whatever it is, and print it up, and just take it with you. All right. So you have And then you say, and you can leave it.

I've been talking to this guy, and he lights up because he. I think what sometimes I think he's trying to convert me.

Sometimes I think he's just trying to shock me. And he wants to see, sometimes I think he wants to see if I can. Dispute his, and I'm not going to sit there and argue with the dude. I don't want to sit there and debate the dude. I'm not.

I'm trying to I'm trying to be a spirit of light to and I don't know sometimes I wonder what his You know, whether he, you know, what his motives are, or whatever. You talk about prison ministry, right? Right, I'm going through prison, he's in prison, that's correct.

Okay, so I did nine years of prison ministry.

Okay, so nine years. And many different prisons. I did this in California for nine years and then two years here in Idaho. And so I'm familiar. with how uh interestingly how common Uh some of the people in prison think and act.

And so when That are you're in there with them, and they make a statement, you don't react. You you say, okay, um and why do you say that? Because they sit there in their cells sometimes, read the Bible, and they study. And I met a few guys in prison. They're very, very knowledgeable.

Very knowledgeable. And I mean on my level of of understanding a lot of deep doctrines, and I was surprised, okay, because you know, I study this stuff all the time, been doing it for decades, and you know, and and uh I've met some guys, man, they really know some stuff. But when you get these, so to speak, the kinds of guys who seem to be doing something for shock value. A lot of times it's because they're stinking bored in prison. And so you ask questions, you want to get on a good side.

And just say, well, what do you mean by that? Always define your terms. what do you mean by? Why do you say that? And you can say to him, I tell you what, How about this?

You give me a list, come back next time or whatever it is. You give me a list of the verses that you say show what you think the Holy Spirit is. I'll look them up. And then, if it's okay with you, and if it's okay with the chaplain, to give him information, give a piece of paper, because he has to go through the chaplain to, you know, if you give Bible verses, you know. You can't just go.

And so you just say the chaplain, you say you know, if it's okay if I if I work up something and give it to him. And then the chaplain has to to examine it and says, yes, you can give it to him.

So it's up to the chaplain, the prison chaplain, and there's often somebody else who's in charge of that. But anyway, you can do that. and you can have these conversations and don't try and convince them in five minutes. He's got Months, years. Yeah, well, like I said, he's got other, he has the other issues too.

He's an analyst. He believes that. And he also believes, I said so on the morning. He said he believes that I would do it. Yeah, well, he he's an annihilist.

He believes that um Annihilationist. Yeah, now license word that he doesn't believe in hell, he believes that I suppose Okay, so here's the thing. I've written 182 articles on annihilationism on my website. And I've done an incredible amount of research on the words. Let me just tell you this.

It comes down to refuting annihilationism as very simple. all of the instances of the words of being punished, All of them in the Bible. are experienced in time, that's what punishment is. an ex conscious experience of it.

So Annihilationism says punishment is non-existence. Therefore annihilationist definition of punishment is not found in the Bible. It's a new definition. It's a new thing.

So therefore, it's not punishment to not exist. That's not punishment. Punishment in the Bible always is experienced over a period of time. And he also he also Talking about I, you know, I mentioned born again to him and he's like, uh I don't believe in born again. I believe you find out if you're born again.

I said, well, you can't find out if you're born again when you get to heaven. You're not going to get to heaven if you're not born again.

So, because the Bible says that. I said, John 3 talks about. like when he was talking to, um, to um Nicodemus and stuff, but you know, he said he must be born again in order to enter into heaven and And he just he says, Well, You'll find out if you're born again. I said, no, that's not the way it works. I mean, I'm not trying to argue with the dude, but I'm asking him: where is he getting this from?

There are other groups that will come into prisons and do varying teaching things. Jehovah's Witnesses is is it sounds like that, or it could be Christadelphian.

Okay, so. Oh, what'd you say? Christadelphia? Yeah, Christadelphians. It does.

He does have a church that he went to Like, before he got out into prison, I think it was like uh Church of God in Philadelphia, something like that. I've never heard of it. That's different, yeah. But anyway, we gotta break, we gotta go.

So. But do that, okay? Learn about the Holy Spirit on the form site and learn how to ask questions, find out where he's going to get. Be patient, and it'll work, okay, buddy? There you go.

I think bar. Yeah.

Hey folks, I'll be right back after these messages for the last segment of the hour. At least they don't. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Everybody, welcome to the show.

If you want to give me a call, the number is 877-2072276. Elijah from Pennsylvania. Welcome, you're on the air. Hey Matt, I was calling to ask: have you ever heard of Andrew Wilson? No.

Uh but during the break I looked him up. And um because it was on my uh screen here that you're going to be asking about that. And um So trying to find out more about him. and what's going on. It looks like it's a movement of churches.

And one of the links that I followed in it went to um One of the leaders went to a website, I looked, and they holded the Heidelberg Confession. which is very good. but yet at the same time they have apostolic leaders. That's problematic. depending on what they do with it, how they say.

So wait, wait, wait, so so uh, which church does it say he's a part of? This is uh new frontiers, right? I'm not sure what Yeah. I'm not sure what church that is. That might be a different person.

Okay.

Well, it could be. Andrew Wilson is a prominent English theologian, author, teaching, pastor at King's Church, London. Is that the one? No, he's from here in America. Ah, well, then I got there.

Well,. But uh okay, so th other then the answer is I don't know. It's so pretty.

So Yeah, so uh I I I just found out about him, uh say maybe a few weeks ago. Um he he has a debate uh against Matt Dellahunty. Um, that didn't really go so well, um, because uh Matt felt that. I'm sorry, I said it again. Uh didn't go well for who?

Oh, for either one of them, because Matt Dillahunty got offended at what Andrew had said because Andrew had. A men felt that felt that Andrew was disrespect was disrespecting, I think, trans people or something.

So he he decided not to continue with the debate if he was going to be, you know, disrespecting people like that. But, anyways, uh, okay. Um, uh, a a long story short, so uh, Andrew Wilson is Orthodox, he's part of the Orthodox Church. And wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, I have to ask questions.

Do you mean the Eastern Orthodox Church or the Orthodox Church of America? I'm assuming it's the Eastern Orthodox Church, because if I remember correctly, I believe he said he's Eastern Orthodox.

Okay, then that would be a false church. It's a false church. But anyway, go ahead. Yes, and um he's also MAGA and um MAGA?

Okay.

Yeah, MAGA, yeah. And um, what else? Um Oh, yeah.

So if you thought Sam Shimoon was bad, but w was like pretty bad with his mouth. During debates, just wait till you watch one of Andrew Wilson's debates because Andrew Wilson just goes full-blown with the cursing.

Okay, he shouldn't do that because the Bible instructs us how we're to behave with unbelievers. Sam Shimone violates that. in Scripture. He has said some profanely bad things. He's disqualified because he can't stick to scripture.

And I know I've met him more than once, Sam Shimone. I've got his cell number, I can call him. And as far as Andrew Wilson goes, I'm not familiar enough with them. If you were to send me some information, some links, I could do a small bio about them and have. And if he's at foul, then deal with that as well.

He needs to to stop. Yeah.

And um in in uh one of his debates when he got to the Q and A section with with Andrew Wilson, uh somebody had uh did a super chat and they wrote um They wrote uh it's it's it's it's a very Christ-like of you to be using this Foul language, isn't it, Andrew? And then the moderator had asked Andrew to respond. And Andrew was like, Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, I guess you think that Jesus was soft too, huh? I guess you didn't realize that Jesus walked around saying things that would have gotten you killed back in those days. I guess y'all didn't know that.

And that was his response. Yeah, it's a it's a terrible response. And he addressed the false religious leaders and called them things according to the culture of what they understood, your whitewashed sepulchres. And he said mean things. He says, You're your father, the devil, because he was dealing with their theology.

The Bible says in, for example, in Colossians 2, I think it's 2.12. Or is it 312? Let me see. Hold on, it's been a while since I've done it go here. Oh, you slime ball.

Got the wrong thing in there. Hold on, I gotta get rid of that. Go back to this. And uh there we go. All right.

So, uh, oh man. Give me a play by place. I mistyped something.

So in Colossians 3:12, uh. It says, As those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another. And it it goes on and it says also uh remu remove abusive Language.

Alright, this is First Timothy. Uh okay, first of all, these let me go up here. Yeah, the Colossians 3:8. But now you also put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abuse of speech. In 2 Timothy.

I'm going to re read this too because people need to know this. Uh is Verse 24: The Lord's bondservant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach patient with wrong when wronged. with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition. if perhaps God may grant them repentance and one more, Colossians 4.5 It says, conduct yourself with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of your opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace.

As those seasoned with salt.

So these guys are violating the Word of God and then using Jesus to justify their foul language and their unbiblical approach.

Okay.

Yeah, yeah, and um Okay. Um it's it's uh uh one of the recent debates that I've watched. Um uh he he had joined a uh a podcast where he's We're atheists. We're like talking about him. And then he had joined.

And I think there was one Christian Protestant in there as well. And so the podcast was them talking about politics, but like the Christian guy had decided to shift the topic to salvation. And he had asked Andrew. Um uh uh what does one have to do to get Save and Andrew didn't want to talk about that. He wanted to talk about politics for that particular podcast.

And um and uh he started uh calling uh a Protestant guy, I think uh I think you I think you call them like a weak something. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, family radio here, but yeah, okay, good. Just just checking.

Okay.

Yeah.

Yeah, so he had He had called him something, uh, I don't remember what it was, but he was he was very disrespectful to uh to uh to to the Protestants, yeah. The Sam Shimone approach gets lots of views, lots of stuff, people like that. But Sam's doing v uh violence to the word of God. I tell people don't trust them. And I'm telling you, I've known him for years as an example.

Okay, you know, and I don't know about Andrew Wilson, but I've known Sam for years. He's brilliant when it comes to Islam, just brilliant. But We are instructed as Christians to behave certain ways with unbelievers. And if you do that, you're not going to get a lot of views.

So why is it these guys are doing this? Is it they want views? Because if that's the case, then they're working under the flesh. And God's not going to bless their efforts. It might be that people might accidentally get saved through such things, because the power of the word of God goes forth, even if an unbeliever says it, or someone in abject rebellion against God's truth, as far as how to behave towards unbelievers.

God's word is still as powerful. Isaiah 55:11. But we're called to act a certain way. And it's not always easy. I'm not saying I do it perfectly.

But this is what we're to do. And that's what they need to do as well, okay. Yeah, I agree. Um th there's uh one one last thing.

So Um A few months ago, I had told you about that atheist line called The Line, and I remember you had called into it. I'm subscribed to the channel, and I think it was yesterday one of their videos popped up. It was and Matt Dilahundi and one other person was hosting a show, and on the title it said. It said that, um, atheists Atheist claims That he read the Bible and Jesus, I think, visited him in a dream as claiming that if you and your loved one put your faith in me, then I'll heal you. I didn't click on the video to watch it yet, but you know, you know, I've seen videos on their channel with titles like this many times before, and I always wonder why do people call in to you know talk to Atheists about this and it and and especially this particular guy because because because he's still an atheist, but he claims they have an encounter with Jesus.

Like, why would you call into them so they can tear down your faith like this? You know, you know what I'm saying? I don't understand it. Yeah.

You're saying a lot of things. I'm not sure which aspect to respond to. But generally speaking, why do people call into these shows? They think they'll do well. And a lot of times they just don't.

Now, when I call into them, they know who I am, it's a different dynamic. They have to shut me up. because they don't want me to answer competently. What they're looking for is people to beat up. People to embarrass.

And that's what they want to do. And so, unfortunately, Christians think they have great answers, and a lot of them are not very well. trained and grounded in the faith and logic, so that they call in and get their arrears handed to them, and that happens a lot.

Okay.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And with the atheist guy in the video, though, like, I don't know, I just kind of feel bad, though, especially if he called in it and then they tore down his faith. And then, you know, if Jesus really did visit him in a dream and told him to, you know, lean on him, put his faith in him, and I'll heal you. And then, like, these atheists, you know, just completely tear that down. I feel bad. Yeah, well, the way the atheists do it is not very good, not very logical.

So my friend Eli Ayala, we were in the debates on Tuesday. Tuesday. This weekend in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, he debated Dan Barker, whom I've debated. And in my opinion, uh Eli cleaned his clock. Because he knows logic, he knows philosophy, he knows how to address the inherent problems of the atheistic worldview.

And so uh It's not that hard. It's not that hard if you know a few basics.

So I think Christians need to be well trained if they're going to go into the lion's den. But hey look man, we got another caller. I'm gonna get to him before the the end of the show.

Okay, buddy? All right, thank you.

Okay, keep it up, man. And I'm going to check out Andrew Wilson. All right. Appreciate it.

Okay.

Alright, now let's get to Carl from North Carolina. Carl, you've been on for a while waiting. What do you got, buddy? Hey, Matt, I just got a question. Jesus brought up that question to the Pharisees after he healed the paralytic about.

What it is easier to forgive sins or to say pick up your mat and walk. And, you know, as a Christian, Jesus had to shed his blood. For forgiveness, um, for our forgiveness and sins. And To me, that's a very difficult thing where Jesus can heal anything he wants.

So what is the answer to that question that he's trying to put that That you know, towards the Pharisees, which was not answered, but I'm sure. No, the issue is in Luke 5, particularly verses. Uh 2324.

So He says, So that you may know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he says. pick up your stretcher and he can go home and he did.

So that was the demonstration that he had the authority to do these things. That's what that was for. I'm not sure if my manster here was right, but that's what that was. No, there was a question where he asked, I believe it was the Pharisees: which is easier for me to say. Pick up your mat and walker to forgive sins.

It's easier to say it. As you see. You can't verify for you, but you can verify someone who's walking. From being late. And there's some music, we're out of time.

Call back tomorrow. All right, brother. Go do it. All right. All right.

Thank you, Max. All right. Bye-bye. And sorry, Chuck from Ohio. Hey folks, you won't be right back.

We'll be back tomorrow by God's grace. Talk. Another program powered by the Truth Network.
