You've got it, Robbie. Yeah, thank you. And he is the President and CEO of Christian Care Ministries, which we know as Metashare here at the Truth Network, which is a program of Christian Care Ministry. And you guys are doing amazing things out there for people. This is a huge need in America, isn't it? Yeah, it sure is, Robbie, and thanks for that.

We've been doing it now, this year celebrating, by the way, our 30th anniversary. So we're super excited about that, just how the Lord has allowed us in this little space, right, just to serve people in need in various ways, but do it, you know, with an eternal mindset, an eternal point of view. Yeah, and also we have with Dr. Cowden, who is associated with Nutrimedics, and Dr. Cowden, his vision is to restore hope and promote true comprehensive healthcare to all who seek it. And welcome, Dr. Cowden. Yes, good morning.

Thank you for having me on your show. And Dr. Cowden, as I mentioned, is associated with Nutrimedics, and I had about an hour conversation with him about amazing things on how to make your liver healthier, which may not sound like a big deal, but the more I studied it, Dr. Cowden, the more your liver becomes like, wow, it's critical to your life. Absolutely.

It helps to metabolize all the toxins that we take in every day from food, air, and water, as well as helps to metabolize all the hormones that are produced to the body that could go up in excess if the liver's not working. So guys, I know this is the part of the show you just have to endure, that if you're on Kingdom Pursuits, we always got to have Robbie's jokes. And so speaking of healthcare. All right. He's very focused. Okay. It's how expensive, and again, Dr. Cowden or Brandon, either one, jump in here if you think you know, how expensive is healthcare? Very. Too expensive. I couldn't agree. I couldn't even afford a Dr. Pepper, but more importantly than that, man, I just had a double amputation that cost me an arm and a leg.

Ah, yes. And I don't know if you've heard this, guys, but the employee healthcare plan for Apple is just horrible. You know why? An Apple a day keeps the doctor away? Well, that should. That's good. Do you like that one, Dr. Cowden? But you do.

But actually, what I understand, it only covers eye doctors. Yes. For those of you with iPhones, you get that. That's funny. Yeah.

Or iPods, however it works. But anyway, you know, I don't know if you've thought about this, but it's pretty cool. My humor is like free healthcare. Do you know why, Christian? No. Do you know? Richard, you look like you might have that. You got any idea why humor is like free healthcare, especially Robbie's humor?

For medicine for your heart. I like that. That's good. That doesn't exist. Yeah. Not everybody gets it.

How did you feel called by God to be involved with me? Or specifically, I guess, Christian Care Ministry? Yeah, great question. I mean, like any other, maybe call from the Lord, right?

Where he just feels presence over decisions and directions in your life at times, and how he brings together sometimes the craziest experiences to just lead you and direct you in your life. But, you know, I spend years in health insurance. I remember thinking the number of times, you know, we walked with people through the pandemic, times. You know, we walked with people through their deepest valleys, and all we could do in the secular world, if you will, was care for their secular needs, if you will, right, the bill. And how many lost opportunities we had to pray for people and to minister through people through some of just their, you know, their darkest valleys. And so this is an amazing ministry. It allows us to do just that and to care and to minister for people and with people in the body of Christ.

You know, through some of the darkest challenges you get, you know, the cancer diagnosis in life, what do you do? You know, the medical bill is a short-term thing, right? I mean, it's fleeting. It's a moment in this physical life, but those eternal needs, right, in our spirits as eternal children of God, right, of our Father, just have deeper needs.

And so having that opportunity here was just an incredible, incredible blessing from the Lord. Well, it happened when I was in my first few months of medical school. I had lived in arid West Texas all my life, moved down to Houston, was not used to the grass and the weeds and the trees and the mold and everything else that was in the air and developed allergic rhinitis and allergic sinusitis, then insectivitis, sinusitis, then bronchitis, then pneumonia, and tried to get help from the chairman of three different medical school departments, followed their advice, took their drugs, got progressively worse, and my wife's grandmother came to visit us in Houston and she had pity on me.

She was a school teacher and self-salt nutritionist. She took me to the health food store, got me on some vitamins, minerals, and herbs, and I got well and I thought, oh my goodness, I need to learn what this woman knows and I need to take with a grain of salt everything I learned in the training institution after this. So, I quickly saw that God had answers for us in his nature, you know, for almost all the maladies that we have and we didn't really need to modify it by some pharmaceutical manipulation that we could actually just go out of nature and get what we needed. Yeah, it seems like that clearly God provided all sorts of beautiful, amazing things and so I hope that wets your appetite for three more segments with these guys. It's going to be hard to beat. I think Adam and Eve was. When Adam was created, he got that first from the ground up, you know, and then he also, his wife or his mate, both mates, he also did the surgery and all that. You couldn't ask for better health care, could you? You can't ask for better health care with that. You know, I was like, I started thinking about it and I really was asking the Holy Spirit, you know, like, what, you know, who really was the first person?

So, I had to go back to the roots of it and that's what I think it is. You know, when he first got it, when he got breathed into his nostrils, the air, the breath of air and life. Yeah, you couldn't be more right and then he got free health care the rest of his life too, actually. He was signed up. He had Medicare. Free herbs in the garden, you know, and all that. He even got, you know, when he made a bad mistake, ate the wrong fruit, you know, then God hooked him up with some great clothes. Yes. So, you could be more right. You know, I love that answer, especially, you know, the rib, you know, like, he needed a maid.

He got everything he needed and God does provide like that. So, we like to think of it as that supplementary program.

It lets them, you know, participate in that same, you know, Christian faith-based community. I'm sharing all those bills. So, what they would do is not go on Medicare Advantage, right?

Because if you do that, you're actually choosing a health care plan, but actually stay on original Medicare and then add Metashare to that. Is that right? Sure. Yeah, you can absolutely do that.

And the best part, we've got an incredible team that knows you're inside and out. And if you even just call in, they will help you through some of that process so you can get pointed in the right direction. But yeah, that 65-plus program you'll find pretty prominently on our website and really does just help bolster, if you're on Medicare, some of those supplementary needs, you know, around it that it's not gonna help you with. And God bless you as always. I don't know if Adam was over 65 or not, but it did cost him a rib. I just have to call that out. Yeah, he had the ultimate Medicare because he was over 65.

He was over 900 and still had coverage. That's so amazing. So getting back to Dr. Cowden, I love what you do, but tell us what you mostly do. I mean, I know at one point in time you had to practice, but tell us about what you're actually doing now. Yes, I retired in 2019 from patient care, and so I do education of health practitioners and the general public now. And my primary focus at the moment is on identifying ways to reverse amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is a devastating disease that most neurologists say is terminal within three years. But we have over 100 patients that used to have ALS that no longer have ALS. And so I believe that, and that's only about one percent of the total population of ALS in the United States, but I believe that a much larger percentage can have full recovery from ALS once we find all the causes and resolve them. Wow, I had a friend not too long ago die from ALS.

I had no idea. And so with what your practice does, there are other things that cause ALS? There isn't one common thing that always causes it?

No, no, no. There's at least a dozen causes in each individual patient, and sometimes there's maybe two dozen causes. And unless you identify most of the causes and resolve them, then the condition continues to progress. But if you can identify enough percentage of the causes and resolve those, then the ALS process stops progressing and in many cases starts reversing. So we have patients that were on a ventilator with a feeding tube, unable to move any muscle in their body except their eyes, who are now out jogging and talking normally again. Wow.

I mean, when we talked about my situation, but wow, what an amazing thing that I had no idea that that was even possible. So I'm just curious. You say there's over a couple dozen. Let's just take one case study that individual you're talking about. What were some of the main things that were causing his ALS? Well, in most cases, there's excessive toxic load. If you have a mouthful of mercury amalgams, you're releasing mercury into the saliva and into the air that you breathe in every time you chew. And the mercury is one of the most neurotoxic substances on the planet. So you usually find that patients that have ALS, that have a mouthful of mercury amalgams have to get those mercury amalgams removed. And that's one of the biggest expenses in getting somebody well from ALS is to get all that mercury out of their mouth and put in some jet-aged plastic composites in place of the mercury amalgam that were removed. But there's also- You're talking the fillings in their teeth are made out of mercury?

Yeah. Most people don't realize this, but the silver-colored fillings that are in the teeth are 50% mercury and only 20% silver. Even though most dentists call them silver amalgams, they're actually mercury amalgams. And mercury is the most toxic metal on the planet.

There's some radioactive elements that are more toxic, but it's the most toxic non-radioactive element. And so when you go to your dentist, can you ask for the non-mercury fillings? Yeah. If people are not knowledgeable about what to ask for, the vast majority of dentists still put mercury amalgams in their teeth. And it's just a bad idea. So what's the alternative?

Just because I'm totally ignorant. Yeah. It's a jet-aged plastic that you put in the hole in the tooth instead of the mercury amalgam.

And I would bet the plastic sticks better too. That's just my guess. But I don't have- Man, stuff I learned, Brandon, did you know that? Robby, I'm like staring in the mirror right now to make sure I don't have any silver looking back at me.

That's all I know. I'm like, oh my goodness. Because obviously that was just one of those things that Dr. Cowden is uncovering. But I imagine like Dr. Cowden, you're discovering these things at healthcare that people just have no clue of what it is that they're facing, especially coming out of the insurance area like you did.

Yeah. Well, one of the areas we try to focus is, and we have this wonderful program called Health Partners. And it's a group of dieticians and all faiths that are really focused on your broader wellness and health.

And I learned this, I ran an international operation for a number of years for a large insurance company. And when you get outside of the US and you see the number of things, once you in some sense get out of the system here, a number of things that the doctor was mentioning that just in nature are good for you. And whether it's the foods you eat or whether it's various herbs and substances that the Lord has created for us that are just healthy for us. And so we have a team of dieticians that from a faith perspective will pray with you, will work with you, will encourage you just to do exactly that and help you in your journey in health, not just your typical latest fad weight loss program or something like that, but really praying with you from a biblical perspective, helping just bring some of those solutions into your life. So it's true. And if you stick in this world of Western medicine, I think in general, the industrialized Western medicine schema, and you ignore God's word and a number of other things that he's provided for us, I think, you know, you miss out a bit on the health that you could have in this life.

Darrell Bock Oh, I love that. And you know, that was one of the reasons I really had my kids in Christian school when I did that, that, you know, to know that the teachers are praying, whatever, because apart from God, we can't do anything from what I understand. And so, you know, what a beautiful thing to have the people that are helping you out to pay for your health care, protect you, so that you have the resources to pay for your health care are actually, you know, praying with you. Absolutely beautiful.

Dr. Lee Cowden, who is just a phenomenal doctor in natural ways to heal things, just common sense, I guess, that we were unaware of, as well as Brandon Harvath. He is the President and CEO of Christian Care Ministry, which is Metashare to most of us and those programs.

Again, we'd mentioned you can find these guys at kingdompursuits.com and link up with what they're doing. But I have to say that my listeners often astound me. I received a text that said, and not unlike my wife, often I need to be corrected. I shouldn't say that.

Often like my wife tells me I need to be corrected. And so this listener had a better answer for me, which I absolutely loved. And what he said, the first person mentioned in the Bible was the Holy Spirit.

Wow. And I mean, how is that for a great answer? I mean, I couldn't even, I get almost, yeah, yeah, that is a really, really cool, cool thing to thank the first person mentioned in the Bible.

And from what I understand, he had free health care. He just did. It's just totally, you know, that's just absolutely cool. And so Wayne and I, we are so glad you are listening and so grateful for your answer and your text. And we'll figure out a way to get you something from the Kingdom Pursuits Prize Vault special for just a great answer. So don't you think, Brandon, that's a great answer? It's an incredible answer.

Yeah. It was like, wow, look at that. And so, Dr. Cowden, I'm curious, I mean, why after number one has astounded me so badly, or so wonderfully, I guess I should say, what's the number two reason for ALS? Very commonly, ALS patients have an unrecognized, untreated Lyme disease. And that's a back and a bacterial infection as a spirochete, similar to the syphilis organism. But people, most people think that they only get Lyme disease from a tick bite.

And they must have a bullseye rash. But, you know, these 40% of people that have Lyme disease have never had either. And, you know, it can be transmitted by other biting insects, mosquitoes, fleas, lice, mites.

It can also be transmitted by sexual intercourse and by French kissing and by blood transfusions and probably through the placenta from the mom into the fetus in the womb. So, you know, if you don't get rid of the Lyme disease, the inflammation in the brain persists. And it's really hard to get rid of the ALS symptoms unless you get rid of the inflammation in the brain.

So how do you get rid of it? It sounds, I mean, how do you get rid of the inflammation of Lyme? You know, there's so many people out there suffering with Lyme disease.

I thought that was pretty much, you know, not curable. Well, we have, there's lots of research that shows that standard pharmaceutical antibiotics don't work. I have at least nine or ten articles in the peer-reviewed literature showing that. But back in 2003, I did a research study in Dallas to find out if we could help patients that had Lyme disease that had failed antibiotic therapy. And we were able to help, you know, the vast majority of them. And then after that, Dr. Richard Horwitz up in upstate New York put about 100 patients that he had that had failed antibiotic therapy onto the all-natural herbal protocol that I developed. And, you know, 80% of the patients markedly improved within six months.

So we know that it's treatable with things from nature, but not treatable from things that man makes. Right. And so is that, is it called the Cowden procedure? It's pretty famous, isn't it? The Cowden Support Program is what the Nutramedics named it. I didn't name it, but, you know, I'm a consultant for the company.

I was doing the research actually before I became a consultant to the company. And they said, well, this is great, you know, that you have this great success, even though standard pharmaceutical antibiotics fail. And so they've continued to help a lot of people that have been suffering from that condition now over the last, whatever that 20 years. Oh my goodness. I mean, there there's two gigantic, as I'm thinking about it, people with ALS, people with Lyme disease, we've got lots of folks like that.

Richard, you got a comment? Yeah, I was wanting to ask a question to the doctor about the heavy metal removal. And even with the Lyme disease, there was a product that I keep hearing about called TRS. And I just wanted to know if you had any information about that specific product, or if that was, if it's a hoax or has it even been a real product? Because there's so many testimonials about mercury, floral, all different types of heavy metals being removed. And just wanted to know if you knew about that product. There's several tens of thousands of nutraceutical products on the market, and that particular one I don't recognize.

But if you told me all the ingredients of it, I probably would recognize most of them. There's a variety of ways to get the metals out of the body after you get them out of the teeth. But until you get the mercury maggums out of the teeth with a biological dentist, it's almost impossible to get the metals out of the body because the mercury causes the body to hold on to not just, you know, mercury itself, but also lead and arsenic and cadmium and aluminum and nickel and all those other heavy metals. So, is that why they're called heavy metals? Because they attract other heavy metals? Well, yeah, they're heavier than other metals that are in nature. And, you know, you know, I don't know if you've ever tried to lift up mercury, but mercury is very heavy. And so has lead.

You know, most people are familiar how heavy the lead batteries are from a car. But, you know, those metals will bind to the enzyme receptors on the cells and prevent the natural minerals like magnesium and calcium and zinc and copper and those other minerals from binding there. And therefore the enzyme then doesn't work.

So it poisons the enzyme. Oh my goodness. So there are biological dentists. That's a term I haven't heard as well.

Yes. The biological dentists were trained how to remove mercury maggum without making the patient worse. Most dentists that don't know how to do that will actually use a very high speed, a large burr and pulverize the entire mercury maggum and make that into a liquid that you swallow or a vapor that you breathe in and poison the body even more. But a skilled biological dentist will make a very tiny crease in the mercury maggum and use an instrument to pop that chunk of mercury out and put it in the biohazard container where it belongs. And then after that, you know, make sure that there's no mercury tattoos on the tooth or on the gum around the tooth.

And once you get all that out, then it's easy to get much easier to get all the microscopic mercury that spreads throughout the body out. Oh my goodness. The things I've learned already this morning, every time I talk to Dr. Cowden, it's like, whoa, how could, how many things are there out there that we don't know? But I want to turn back to Metashare for a moment and talk about, I bet you've got some stories of people that your company, you're just like, man, God, I'm so glad that you have me here because you got to see this happen.

Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what, Robby, and I'm just thinking about all of the wisdom that Dr. Cowden is sharing with us today. And, you know, when we think about our mission as an organization, and obviously we're faith-based association of churches, and our goal is about transforming society through the biblical model of sharing. And it's not just sharing in health care bills, it's sharing biblical wisdom and knowledge like this. I think about, you know, even the early Acts church model of the deacons and how they connected needs with resources.

They were instructed to actually appoint men full of wisdom. And this is the exact reason why as the body of Christ, we need the kind of wisdom. Wow.

Well, what an opportunity you might have to get another viewpoint on all these things. So, I can't help but ask, man. I heard number one, number two. I'm dying to know what is number three on the ALS. Yeah.

Yeah. The other thing that really impacts the patients with ALS is the electropollution that we're all exposed to, especially if we live in a city. The electropollution comes from not just the electrical appliances plugged in the bedroom next to our bed, but also the wi-fi from our house and the neighbors, the cordless phone signals from our phone and the neighbors, the electric smart meters and all that other stuff. And if a patient is exposed to that, then their brain gets entrained into a much higher frequency than it should while they're sleeping so they can't get healing of their body while they sleep and they can't get healing of their psyche while they sleep because they don't get into rapid eye movement, dream sleep. And so that's a huge contributor to ALS in my experience.

Wow. And again, like you said, you've got 12 or 13 things that are going on and there's hope for so many different ones. And again, with Metashare, actually, to look at that as well, there's so many people out there that just, you know, there's no way I can afford health care insurance. I mean, my own people in my family, I won't mention their names, I can remember times where I just can't afford health insurance and so they went without and then a loved one got sick and the next thing they knew, we knew they were in terrible trouble. So Brandon, this is huge for people like that, right?

Yeah. On average, Metashare tends to be about half the cost of commercial insurance on average and we find that to be generally true across the board and so I'll just say it's amazing what you can do when the body of Christ comes together and finds creative solutions to actually be the church and that's really all we are. If you're a pastor in a church, for example, that's looking for a way to help your body, to help your congregation sharing one another's needs to act like the church. Using platforms and tools like this are great ways to do just that and yeah, by the way, it saves you a lot of money and, you know, more importantly than that though, Robbie, I would say the dollars you do spend, you also know aren't going to things like paying for abortions or, you know, such reassignment surgeries or the other latest, you know, woke or frankly just evil things that are out there lurking in our secular healthcare space today.

So, resting assured that your dollars don't go toward those things but you save money at the same time, it's pretty amazing, so. Yeah, and thinking also that since it's Metashare, right, that the dollars are going to a great extent to help some other Christian brother or sister really is in, you know, deep need right this minute and obviously the opportunity to pray for those other people that are undergoing all that, right? You know, my, and I'll just tell you a personal experience, Robbie, my wife spent about a week in the hospital unexpectedly about eight months ago and it was a scary time for us, she's healthy, praise the Lord and doing well and has recovered and I think Dr. Calvin, you'd have a lot of interest in what she actually went through in our healthcare system but, you know, we got the bill, went through all of those things and we're part of the Metashare community but, you know what, all of those bills were handled, our folks prayed with her on the phone when we called in, all those things but, you know what, she called me one day, Robbie, and she was in tears and said, you won't believe what I just got, I just received these notifications from other members that they were praying for me that the Lord would continue to heal her and, you know, just out of all of the folks that shared in that bill that helped her, that they were praying for her and the impact and the weight of that just hit her, you know, all at once and it was just an amazing experience to know that this is just a beautiful way that the body of Christ can come together and serve one another. Really, I mean, that's just, you know, how cool is that and now, you know, God calls people into things with the understanding of insurance and that kind of stuff to create programs like this, it's just, it's amazing to me and Dr. Calvin, you know, I got to know, we've talked about Lyme disease and we talked about ALS, is there another disease out there? A lot of people may think there's no hope but you have some answers for them?

Well, while I was in practice, I had a lot of patients that came to me with stage four cancer and they were told by their oncologist, you know, go home, write your will, enjoy what little time you have left and, you know, those patients were, you know, said, the doctor said you have, you know, two months to live, three months to live, whatever and a lot of those patients are still alive and well now 25, 30 years later because they didn't believe what the doctor told them and instead chose to get natural therapy.
