Kingdom Pursuits, where you hear from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion. Together, we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into kingdom pursuits.
Now, live from the Truth Booth, your host, Robbie Dillmore. Have fun today on Kingdom Pursuits. We are. You know, I'm going to host the Bible League, and you may be know that the Bible League is partnering with the Truth Network again. We are looking to send actually 3,500 Bibles to waiting believers by October 31st, and five dollars sends a Bible, 100 sends 20, and As always, it's one eight hundred yes word.
If you want to call and help do that, or if you go to KingdomPursuits dot com, you are going to see be a joy maker. Send Bibles, right? If you click on that book, be a joy maker. Send Bibles. You can get that all light up, but based on the.
Timeliness of our guest hasn't quite arrived with us. It would be a great time to go ahead and do our riddles, which I haven't been able to do for a few weeks because I've been out of town. And so, speaking of joy. Oh yes, it is. We are speaking of joy because remember, right?
Be a joy maker, send Bibles, and so. Since I have Nick in the studio with me, and we can just go on and play, and so here's the question: Why did the mother chameleon, or excuse me, not what, why, but what did the mother chameleon say when she was overcome with joy? When her little baby, like chameleons, hatched, she actually became so joyful her camouflage dropped. What did she say, Nick? I'm surprised to see you.
She was happy with little guys, and she dropped her her camouflage. And you know what she said? I've become a parent. I like that. Yeah, there you go.
And so, you may have heard that famous, and you being the musician that you are, you've probably heard the Ode to Joy by Beethoven, right? I have. I played it myself. Right.
So, based on that wonderful, amazing piece that by Beethoven, what was his favorite fruit? Obviously, his favorite fruit. Favorite fruit. Hmm. I don't know.
I'm a little stumped about that. Especially since you played the tuba, you did this. Oh, banana, banana, banana, banana.
So, you know, we're on a roll here. Anyway, you might get this one because I think it's kind of easy. And so, what will you do if you keep your Dish, you know, if you put your dish detergent on the very top shelf, if you put your dish detergent on the very top shelf, what might you do? Hopefully, I don't spill it all over myself. That's true.
Yeah, but I'll be clean if I do. I'm going to give you a hint.
Okay. Right.
So, what? We're talking about today is joy, right? And now think dish detergent, and it's on the very top shelf, and you've got to reach it. What do you might you do? Jump for joy!
Yeah, we're going to be jumping for joy. We get Michael Warhurst on the phone here.
So anyway, you knew at the end of those riddles, we would have an opportunity for you to call in, and so you know, in His presence is fullness of joy. You might have heard that. Actually, the way the verse reads is in His presence is fullness of joy. At His right hand are pleasures for evermore. And so, what psalm does that happen to be?
If you know the answer to that, right, Nick, tell them what they'll win. Absolutely yes, you'll be winning a prize from our Canaan Pursuits Prize Vault. We have Narcan action Bibles and, of course, our biblical back scratcher. If you know the answer to Robbie's riddles, give us call eight six six three four eight seven eight eight four eight six six thirty four truth. There you go.
Which Psalm? The last verse of this Psalm. Is in His presence, right? Is fullness of joy at His right hand, or pleasures forevermore?
So, getting back to Michael Woolworth with Bible League, what an opportunity we have, right, to send all these Bibles. Hey Robbie, great to hear your voice, brother. It's always a joy for me to you know just spend an hour with you and your wonderful listeners, telling you about what God is doing in His world. How refreshing it is just take a little break from the headlines of the day. I know we need to be informed of what's happening in the world, but you know it is exciting to tell you that God truly is at work.
Our prayers are being answered. And Robbie, because of that, as many as nine of ten new believers go without what is so basic to the Christian faith, and that's simply having. A Bible. Let me tell you real quickly. Bible League about a year and a half ago.
Joined with other Bible agencies, names you would know and appreciate—Voice of the Martyrs, Frontlines International, to name a few—and we said we know that God's word is needed all over the world, but it cannot be a gut feeling.
So we studied about a hundred of the world's most under-resourced countries, places where the restrictions are the greatest, the need is the greatest. And Robbie, we easily identified that there's 125 million believers. These are members of our spiritual family around the world who go with. Without a Bible, and so again, we can tell you with confidence that as many as nine of ten in the regions of Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America go without a Bible. And Robbie, when I give a statistic like that, I know what comes to mind for me is Psalm one nineteen, where the psalmist, your heart.
But the question is. How do you do that? How do you do that when you've never held it in your hand? And so we're doing something about it today for the princely sum of only five dollars a Bible. But Robbie, all that to say, it's great to be with you today, brother.
Yes, yes, and what an opportunity, right? It to, and I. That's why I love that whole idea of be a joy maker, right? Send Bibles, and boy, what joy you would make! As your stories always just warm my heart to see how God uses His Word in such amazing ways.
And so, I know you got some stories lined up for us today, right?
Well, I want to take you all over the world. You know, if I'm urging your listeners to be a part of this at five dollars a Bible, I think it's incumbent upon us to to share some stories.
So, yeah, I do want to take you to places like like Rwanda. This is a place it's known incredible loss.
So, on the other side of the break, I want to tell you a story about Dali, who was part of the Hutu Tutsi conflict there, Robbie, about 32 years ago. About a million people were murdered in the course of about 100 days. But we'll. Tell you an incredible story about her. We'll take you within the walls of India, the world's most populated country.
Tell you the story about a man by the name of Vishnu, who's a rickshaw driver, and yet in in this country that fiercely opposes the gospel, Robbie, in a very quiet, winsome way, he shares the gospel with those that would listen, and he's seen an incredible fruitful response to that. I also want to take you to the Andes Mountains. Tell you about an itinerant pastor that has been beaten by. Warlocks. Those are male witches, right?
But he is reaching congregations of fifty here, three hundred there, two hundred over there, and I've got a wonderful clip I want to share from one of these young gals who's praying for a Bible today. But Robbie, let me say you've been a great friend of Bible League over many years. You've, without any hesitation, invited your listeners to be a part of this work, and and then this wonderful listening family. I can't say enough about them being so incredibly generous.
So, Robbie, we've said together as Bible League and TruthNet. Can we do this for three thousand five hundred waiting believers that we know by name at Bible League, listeners? You've done that for a thousand to this point.
So if every five dollar gift is an answer to the prayer of a waiting believer, a thousand Bibles on there. Where we've got twenty five hundred to go, and we need to do it by Sunday, November eighth.
So there's a little gap between where we are, Robbie, and where we need to be in a few short weeks. But if there is a caring group of believers that can get us there, it is the Truth Network listening. Family. Yeah, I mean, every one of us know the joy that the Bible brings to our life, right? And you know, I can't even imagine waking up this morning without my Bible.
This would be my hardest. Like, oh my goodness! And so, you know, to be able to share that with people that don't have the resources, you know, and someday when we get to heaven, you know, if you had the, you're able to send twenty Bibles or whatever that may be, how fun would that be? Again, the the way to do that. Is to call one eight hundred yes word, or that's eight hundred nine three seven nine six seven three, or just go to kingdompursuits dot com or truthnetwork dot com and click on the banner right there.
Easy peasy, they can take your donation, and we can. Oh my goodness, the joy that will come forth from that! We'll be right back with a whole. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork dot com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion and uses it to build the kingdom and.
Wow, what a passion we all have for the Word of God, as it is actually God, and so we get an opportunity to share Jesus in this amazing way with the Bible League today. And we had Michael Woolworth with the Bible League, as the Truth Network is joining with them to send wow, thirty-five hundred, man, thirty-five hundred people to get the Word of God as a result of what's going on. And so, Michael, you've got some stories for us.
Well, and as I do that, take you to Rwanda, Africa. Let me just say, we're at this point of a thousand Bibles on their way. It's people like Emma Dale of Arlington, Kentucky, who said, "Michael Robbie, count me in at twenty Bibles." Diana Brown, Summit, North Carolina, said, "I want to be a part of this, taking care of seventeen waiting believers today." And then Catherine of Sanford, North Carolina, making a two hundred dollar gift to take care of filling the waiting hands of forty believers that. We know by name at Bible League. You know, Robbie.
Doesn't matter if you're in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I think where you're at today. I'm in the Greater Chicago area, home base for Bible League. Or if you're in the bush of Africa. You know, if you're walking with the Lord.
You know, in the day to day of doing that, what does the enemy do to us? He rushes us, worries us, condemns us. But when you open the Bible, right, and the Holy Spirit working through His Word does what He draws us, He leads us, certainly convicts us where need. Right, but there is a sense of calmness that comes to our lives, and all of that because again, the word of God is true. And again, God doesn't expect us to pull the will for His life, His will for our lives, out of thin air.
It's in the pages of Scripture, and all those promises for us to claim, Robbie, are there. And so, again, I think this listening family says to themselves, "Look, I love my Bible. God has used His word to grow me into the believer that I am today, and I simply want to give that to others, and that's why we're." Hearing from people like Emma Dale, Diane, and Catherine, so be a part of this. It's five dollars a Bible. 800 yes word or kingdompursuits.com.
Just find the Bible League banner and click that to make your gift today. A thousand Bibles on their way. 2,500 to go. We're done November 8th. Praying that we could take care of the final 2,500.
But Robbie, I want to take you to the country of Rwanda, Africa. This is a part of the world that's known incredible pain and loss. About 32 years ago, there was something called the Hutu-Tutsi conflict. They refer to this as the Rwanda genocide. And in the course of about a hundred days, about a million people were absolutely slaughtered.
It's a terrible, dark chapter in the history of Rwanda. My colleague, I think you've got this audio clip. My colleague Anton left his native Netherlands, went into that country, and he said, "Michael, he said, there's memorials set up. People still gather and they mourn the loss of their loved ones." And you've got this audio clip from Anton, clip 15. This is from Rwanda, Africa.
Estimates about the loss of people in in the in those horrible times range from five hundred thousand to one million over the course of just a couple of days. But yet, people like Dalí have seen it with their own eyes. Her husband and one of her sons were killed, and she just couldn't forgive those who killed her loved ones. True forgiveness only came when she learned about Christ's work at the cross, about which she was reading in her Bible.
So she she recalled that Jesus asked his father to forgive those who punished him, and because Of Jesus saying those words at the cross, she is now able to forgive those people and. Yeah, that's my colleague Anton from the Netherlands. But Robbie, he was in the country of Rwanda, Africa. He met a lot of believers. And one of those, Dali, a woman in her seventies, who had lived with the grief of losing her husband, her son, about thirty extended family members to that Rwandan genocide again that happened spring of nineteen ninety-four.
But Robbie, she became a believer.
Somebody in her village who had been reached by Bible League had been trained to share Christ. Introduced to the hope of the gospel, that person did that by way of a weekly Bible study. Dally would join about 20 others and go through what we call Project Philip. But we give a face and a name to our global strategy, and that's the evangelist in Acts 8 that leads the Ethiopian eunuch to faith in Christ. If you know the text, he's there, able to answer questions from this man and introduces him into the hope of the gospel.
He's baptized. We have every reason to believe he's connected. To a local fellowship, and so in the spirit of that Philip, we help create Phillips all over the world, and that's who we did for the woman in that village that introduced Dali to the hope of the gospel. And if you heard the clip there, my colleague Anton said what. She found the grace in the gums and to move forward in life, to forgive those that brought this terrible, terrible pain upon her and her family.
She did that. Why? She opened up her own Swahili language Bible, and she was able to read the words of Jesus on the cross: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Right. And so that was the turning point for this woman, Dali. And Robbie, let me say this: She lives in a small, remote village there in the bush of Africa, there in Rwanda, and there's about 300 adults.
And let me tell you, a third of that village now follows Jesus. Ninety-seven people have said yes to Jesus because they see in the life of this woman Dally the ability to move not on with life. You never do that after you lose loved ones, right? But she's found the grace. And the gumption to move forward in life, and again, that's what Bible League is all about today.
And Robbie, our prayer is that you catch a glimpse into what God is doing, even in places like Rwanda, Africa. That's known incredible pain, but hope and healing is on the way. And again, for the princely sum of only five dollars a Bible, you can bless those ninety-seven new believers, members of our spiritual family. Not praying for our pity today, but praying for what the precious Word of God. Yeah, it's uh, it, you know, you know how much you enjoy your Bible, and you know, I love what Bible League does because you guys, you you do more than just give Bibles, right?
And and and the way you do that, it's in their own language, you know, the shipping and all that does is involved, but it's done in a community where the people can be discipled as well, right, Michael.
Well, you know, there's a lot of good Christian ministries that do nothing that you know give a Bible out. There's a place for that, right? But as you encounter people leaving all the isms of the world, and then doing so in places again like Rwanda, that it's a no't incredible pain. Robbie, we come alongside these people that are again seeking the Lord. We we help them understand what's in the Bible, and then we're there in those early days of walking with Him.
And again, all of this happens through the context of the local. We call Under-resourced churches, Robbie. What doesn't define an under-resourced church? They lack no zeal. To see people come to saving faith, they lack no love for the Lord.
They just simply are planted in places where it's difficult to find a Bible, challenging to live out your faith, and that's where Bible League has had a presence for almost 90 years. This is year 88 for us, and to think for about the last 10 years, Robbie Truth Network has been right there with us, providing these Bibles at five dollars a Bible. I wish I had the math, but I know it's easily tens of thousands of waiting believers who really have. No hope of a Bible, but now they've got God's Word. They're using those Bibles to make much of Him and to point others to the hope of the gospel.
So, listeners, this should be of comfort to you. Bible League is not an island out there. Again, we're connected with the local evangelical church. And Robbie, we never have to go into a village, drop a box of Bibles, and pray that there's takers. In every case, those are you're hearing in our spots, and those who we're talking about today on Kingdom Pursuits, Robbie.
These are all members of our spiritual family. They've said yes to Jesus. Their hearts are full because they're walking with Him, but their hands are waiting to be filled. And let me just say thanks to people like Dennis of New Paris, Ohio, who said, "I'm in at ten Bibles." Gabriel of Fort Mill, South Carolina, said, "Michael, Robbie, count me in at twenty Bibles." And then Douglas of Mooresville, North Carolina, said, "I want to make a one hundred dollars tax deductible gift to fill the waiting hands of twenty believers." Again, all of these that we know by name at Bible League.
So, Robbie, a thousand Bibles sent to this point. We're about three weeks into this campaign. We've got a couple of weeks to go. We're done on Sunday, November eighth. We've got about twenty five hundred to go, and I can tell you, as kind of the eyes and ears of this eighty eight year old ministry, it is always a joy to circle back to waiting believers and let them know, hey, the Bibles you're praying for, they're coming.
Absolutely yes, it's it's such an opportunity every year that we have on the Truth Network. Again, it's Bible League, and if you go to the network banner at truthnetwork dot com or Kingdom Pursuits, either one, you're going to see the Bible League there, or dial one eight hundred yes word one eight hundred yes word, which I can't do because I'm not digitally gifted like that.
So I just dial the plain old eight hundred nine three seven nine six seven three eight hundred. Nine three seven nine six seven three, and they really do make it easy. Having done it for years, you just for me, I just go to the website, and actually, it even stored all my information.
So it takes me a couple seconds, and next thing I know, it's all done, and then I can sit back and enjoy the thought of what God's going to do with you know this offering, right? As as it's amazing in the Jewish faith, they believe that your offering is not your But your actual offerings, which is what this is, is is salted money because all the offerings, all the grain offerings, came with salt, and it's part of your covenant with God that if you give Him this additional offering, like He is going to bless it unbelievably. Like man, that that it's it's when I think of the generations that can be impacted, Michael, right? Because not just the person that receives the Bible, but all the people around him. His family, et cetera, they're all impacted.
Well, we've seen that, Robbie. I mean, we after ninety years in ministry, we see a trend about a dozen people impacted with every Bible that reaches a new believer who's on fire for Jesus. They'll often say to somebody in their village, "Look, I got a Bible now. Why don't you come and let's read the Word together?" And grows believers. They'll introduce others to the hope of the gospel and be a blessing to those in their congregation.
But Robbie, you know, I'm in the Midwest. It's farm season here, right? I mean, I see a lot of combines in the It reminds me of Second Corinthians nine. God will give you spiritual seed and make that seed grow. He will produce a great harvest from your goodness, right?
That Second Corinthians nine. And Robbie, today your goodness comes in the form of a simple five dollar gift. We all have a part in the Great Commission, and today yours can be quite simple in that sending the precious Word of God to places like Rwanda, Africa, for only five dollars a Bible. On the other side of the break, Robbie, I want to take you to India, the world's most popular. Country and tell you a story about a man named Vishnu.
Yeah, and we have more sound bites too. I am excited about those. These are a new addition, Michael. I like that because you, you know, it kind of takes you into the actually puts a you know sort of a voice with the name. Yeah, and gives you more of a feel of what's going on there.
So, again, go to KingdomPursuits dot com or TruthNetwork dot com. It's Bible League, right? Just click on that banner. It says, "Be a joy, make make I mean, send Bibles. Be a joy, makers, send Bibles.
I'll I'll figure out what I am saying here in a second. We'll be right back with a whole lot of Michael Wilworth and Bible League. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion and uses it to build the kingdom.
So blessed today, have with us our old friend Michael Woolworth with Bible League. Be a joy maker, send Bibles. What an opportunity we have every year to team up with Bible League. As God's going to take, you know, His His word does not return void. I mean, you can just take that to the bank.
Than almost any promise you could possibly imagine, that when we send out His Word, you know, it's it's more than amazing, and so I'm excited to go to India today.
Well, I mentioned Robbie coming into the show today. You know, Bible League engaged in the Bible Access List again with other Bible agencies. We identified 125 million Christians around the world who go without what is so basic to the Christian faith—that's simply having a Bible. And so, again, with the Bible Access List, which is available free of charge. By the way, I really urge you to check this out at bibleleague.org forward slash the letters B A L.
There's some great. Graphics there, but it identifies where the restrictions greatest in the world. Where's the greatest need? For example, where are there millions of believers today who have said yes to Jesus and yet they still wait for their very own Bible? And again, check that out bibleleague.org forward slash Bible Access List.
But something like that, Robbie, really helps us to pray more effectively for the work of the gospel, knowing where the shortages greatest, where the greatest challenges, and then also to give. I mean, as you look at your bud. I mean, we're all paying more for groceries and gasoline, right? There's a lot of competition for our dollars. But again, when you hear the plea today on behalf of waiting believers, you know it helps you give with with the greater kingdom focus.
So, Robbie, I want to say thanks to people like Gwen of Draper, Utah. She said, "I'm in at ten bibles." George of Toledo, Ohio, said, "Michael, Robbie, count me in for twenty bibles." Steve, listening online in Florida, said, "I want to make a one hundred dollars tax deduction." Gift to take care of, fill in the hands of twenty waiting believers. Again, that we know by name at Bible League and Robbie. We're right about a thousand Bibles on their way. We've got twenty five hundred to go.
Our goal, our prayers, all of our work focused on getting across the finish line, and we need to do it by Sunday, November eighth.
So we do have time. But again, as you're you know on the weekend, your your schedule is a little slower. As you're thinking and praying about this, make that gift now. Two ways to get involved. It's a quick phone call.
Eight hundred yes word, eight hundred yes word, or click the Bible Lake banner. You can find that at KingdomPursuits dot com. Yeah, Robbie, I want to take you to the country of India. This is the world's most populated country. China held that top spot for a number of years, but with all of their restricted family policies, they've moved to number two.
India, the most populated country in the world. But Robbie, it is a place where you can pay a price for following Jesus in twenty six states within this nation of. Hinduistic tradition. There's laws on the books. If you tell somebody what Jesus means to you, they can misconstrue that, throw you in jail.
I know many people that have paid an incredible price again simply for sharing with others what Jesus means to them. One of those is a man by the name of Vishnu. Vishnu's story is what he's a rickshaw driver in New Delhi, India. I don't know if you've ever been on a rickshaw, Robbie. You ever seen one of these things?
I've seen them. I've never ridden one. Have you? Yeah, so it's it's you know it's a bike. It's got a big basket on the back.
You manually pedal this thing, right?
So Vishnu will transport.
Sometimes tourists, sometimes just workers going from point A to point B and then back home, right? But that's how he earns his living, providing for his family of five. He's a rickshaw driver in a very quiet, winsome way. This former Hindu, now a believer, shares the faith that he holds so dear. And some of these people have turned him in to the authorities.
He. Does this in a state where those anti-conversion laws are at work, Robbie? He's been beaten. He's been jailed. He's been held for extended periods of time.
But I can tell you that it does not keep him from again sharing the gospel with those in his village. There, he has invited these people, those that are willing to listen, to a weekly Bible study from Biblically. We call that Project Philip. I mentioned that in the last segment, and I can tell you today by the grace of God and through the gumption of this man Vishnu, willing to sub. For the gospel, Robbie, 182 people have come to Christ.
182 former Hindus there in the nation of India have said yes to Jesus. My colleague Subish within the walls of India says, Michael, there is a lot of persecution. There's no doubt that people like Vishnu go through a lot. But he said the church is growing, and from wherever you're listening today, you get to be a part of this. But this is a man by the name of Subish.
That clip number 13. From India. One of our church planner, he he told me like this: in his village, you will see the signboards. Christian missionaries are prohibited in the village. If anyone tries to do it, they will attack them mercilessly.
And I believe the reason behind all this is the growth of the church. People are responding to the gospel and are joining the church. Church is growing in India amidst of the severe persecutions.
Well, you mean you'd think that India, with again anti-conversion laws, you know, the Christian community makes maybe one and a half percent of the overall population. But Robbie, God is not forgotten. India, He's at work there. We see people coming to saving faith. There's a need today for 192 Bibles.
192 have come to saving faith. These are Hindi speakers, and again, they're not praying for pity today. They're not praying for our protections. They're praying for the precious Word of God. But Robbie, I think.
The the title of your show, Kingdom Pursuits. Here's a man in Vishnu that takes to heart Jesus in Matthew five, where he says, "I tell you, love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you." And here's a man that's willing to do that today. And again, from wherever the Lord has you listening today, for the princely sum of only five dollars a Bible, you get to be a part of the Kingdom Pursuits of people like Vishnu. And again, Robbie, it is always a joy for me to tell waiting believers those Bibles you're praying for. They Are as good as there.
Yeah, and that's another. You know, I hadn't thought about that. That clearly, there's a lot of prayer that goes on with this process. To, I mean, not just obviously the people that are praying in the countries, but the people instructing people to pray in the countries, and then we got people that are praying for Bible League, right?
Well, absolutely. I mean, Robbie, we we start our our day with prayer and Bible reading. We know our partners around the world are engaged in that. Just asking the Lord to add His blessing to this work. We are we are apart from Him, we're nothing, right?
I mean, we need to abide in Him and and let and let Him do the work today. And Robbie, as I said, coming into your show today, how refreshing to take a little break from the headlines of the day. I know we need to be informed of what's going on around the world. But as it relates to kingdom work, how refreshing to be reminded that God is at work through His Word in His world, and again we get to be a part of it at only five dollars a Bible. And Ravi, as I think of people like Vishnu, I think of Jesus in Matthew twenty-five, where He says, "If you know you do it to the least of these, you've done it unto Me," and you know.
He goes on to talk about judgment, a coming judgment. He says there'll come a day we're all separate: the goats from the sheep. The goats are, you know, the unbelievers that say, "What, my time, my money, it's mine, right?" But the group in that latter group, the sheep, are what his followers who say, "Lord, you own everything: my time, my talent, my treasure. It's all yours, Lord. Where can I invest that today?" And so I think that latter group characterizes the Truth Network family.
People listening to Kingdom Pursuits right now and tuned in to Truth Network all around the country. Robbie, as we've worked together for about ten years, we've seen listeners give incredibly generously, and again, it is a joy to see people finally get a Bible. Robbie, I've been there. We have friends that fund those trips, and I've put Bibles into these empty waiting hands. People have sung, they have danced, they have shouted.
Robbie, I remember marrying in the Middle East. I was there not long ago when I gave her her Arabic. Language Bible. She simply clutched it in a very quiet manner, and she had a smile on her face because she knew she held within her hands the book that will tell her about the God who loves her.
So, be a part of this. We want to do this for three thousand five hundred waiting believers. A thousand Bibles on their way. Twenty five hundred to go by November eighth. And Robbie, it happens at only five dollars a Bible.
Yeah, so cool. And so, as as you're praying, you know about the whole situation, you know. As Michael talked about it, you know, apart from him, we can do nothing. And so, what an opportunity you have to say, "Lord, this is for me," right? And then, if you do that, it's easy, right?
It's just eight hundred nine three seven nine six seven three eight hundred nine three seven nine six seven three. Or again, just go to Kingdom Pursuits dot com. That that you know. Be a joy maker. Banners right there.
Bible League. You click on that; it'll take you over there. It's easy peasy. But again, I I can't emphasize from my perspective. You know, God, um, he's got a plan for us, and what an opportunity we have to be part of what he's doing.
Again, I would highly recommend you pray about Bible League. We'll be right back with a whole lot more and a few more sound bites. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion and uses it to build the kingdom.
And what an amazing passion for the Word of God! Our guest, Michael Woolworth, with Bible League. We're talking about our partnership with Bible League. In October, as we've done for years, be a joy maker. Send Bibles, right?
Just five dollars. How amazing is that? That here you have a Bible that's been translated, that that it's it's shipped, it's put into the hands of somebody like we're talking about in India or Africa, South America. You know where we see the need. We've got got is it's amazing to me.
It is so amazing to me that God has people there, that are so that have such a heart for Him, and sometimes really, really dark places. Right, Michael.
Well, places where again the gospel is fiercely opposed, and you know itinerant pastors like Carlo pay an incredible price. And as I take you to the Andes Mountains, tell you the story, Robbie. Let me say thanks to Helen of Charlotte, North Carolina. She said I'm in at ten Bibles. Robert of Greensboro, North Carolina, said Michael Robbie count me in for ten Bibles, and then Philip of Gastonia, North Carolina, making a one hundred and fifty dollar gift enough to fill the waiting hands of thirty believers.
That we know by name at Bible League, a thousand Bibles on their way, twenty five hundred to go, thirty five hundred is where we focused our prayers and our work. We're done on Sunday, Sunday, November eighth.
So again, you know we're about nine weeks away from Christmas. Robbie, I know it's probably a little too early to be talking about it, but you know to think that this year and going forward, these believers who've never read a single verse in their own Bibles, right, will now read for themselves the precious Christmas story.
So again, it happens. Five dollars a Bible. Two ways to get involved today: it's eight hundred yes word, eight hundred yes word, or click the Bible link, or you can find that at KingdomPursuits dot com. But yeah, Robbie, it's great to be with you for the full hour, just sharing what God is doing in His world. Taking a moment to pause and say, "Lord, thank you.
Our prayers are being answered. We pray the gospel would take root all over the world, and it's happening in places like the Andes Mountains. Let me tell you about Carlo and I tender at Pastor, this man ministers primarily in the countries of Ecuador and Peru. Robbie, he's been beaten by warlocks, male witches that fiercely oppose the gospel. He's been beaten.
He's been robbed of everything in his possession—money, Bibles. Just out of spite, they do this to him. Right? He's fallen a hundred feet in the Andes mountains. He's broken several bones, but all of this to the glory of God and to reach remote congregations.
They're in the Andes mountains. It might be. 50 people here, 125 over here, 200 over here. But Robbie, one of those families that he has managed to connect with there in the remote Andes Mountains belongs to 10-year-old Elizabeth, and you've got this audio clip from Elizabeth in the Andes Mountains. I am Lisbeth.
I am ten years old and live in Peru with my mom and sisters. My dad died last year. We would like a Bible to read every day when we wake up. Thank you.
Well, Robbie, a heartfelt plea from young ten-year-old Elizabeth. Right, if you heard the clip, there, father died about a year ago. He had been ill. He didn't recover from that. That left her mother a widow with four young daughters.
Elizabeth, part of the mix there, at ten years of age, and again, this is one of those families reached by Pastor Carlo. And again, the plea from young Elizabeth today, and I love just the sincerity of her heart. Robbie is, you know, not for pity, not for some money miracle today. What does she pray? For a Bible, they simply want to begin their day reading about the God who loves them.
And again, this is one of those families reached by this man, Carlo, an itinerant pastor who's been beaten by warlocks. He's fallen in the Andes mountains. You know, he's been robbed of everything in his possession. But again, he does all of this to the glory of God and to reach these precious believers. And again, from wherever God has you listening today, you get to be a part of this at only five dollars a Bible.
I just love it, and again, if you go to truthnetwork dot com, or you can go to kingdompursuits dot com. Easy, easy. You'll see that "Be a Joy Maker" banner right there. You just click on that; it'll take you right to just all sorts of opportunities there at Bible League. Again, what an opportunity to pray.
Ask God, is this something you want me to be a part of? And you know, at five dollars, you know, pretty easy to. Afford, or maybe God puts it on your heart to you know to give twenty, and again that's five Bibles. Or excuse me, I need to do my math a little better. I guess it's four, right, Michael?
It's four. Yeah, four Bibles.
So. Yeah.
Well, you know, if you give twenty five, it's five. I'm just saying, all those opportunities are there. Again, you can click one eight hundred yes word on your phone or eight hundred nine three seven nine six seven three, or to go to truthnetwork dot com. We just got a couple minutes left, Michael. What more do you want to add?
Well, Robbie, again, thanks for a full hour on Kingdom Pursuits. I love what you do, and you've been a great friend of Bible League. These listeners have been incredibly kind to us over the years. You know, we've shared a lot of needs today, right? Fifty Bibles here, five hundred over here.
I wanted you to also hear the reaction of a senior saint, Robbie, somebody part of the Zulu tribe down in South Africa. She was a former animist. They believe that there are spirits in places and things. They pray to dead relatives for blessing. She had no idea who Jesus was.
Until she became a believer, she lived for years without a Bible. Her pastor was the only one in the congregation to have God's Word in his possession. But Joseph, one of my colleagues there, said, "Michael, when I gave her her own Bible, this was her reaction from South Africa." Wow, we're going to the end of the show. We ran out of time, but Michael, thank you so much. I appreciate you so much again.
One eight hundred yes word or truthnetwork dot com, kingdompursuits dot com. Just click on the Bible League banner, and thank you all for listening so much.
So much truth coming at you on the Truth Network.
