This is the Truth Network. Kingdom Pursuits, where you hear from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion. Together we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into kingdom pursuits.
Now, live from the Truth Booth, your host, Robbie Dilmore. Wow, it's amazing. Here we are a week before the biggest 4th of July in my lifetime, right? 250 years strong, is the way you could put it. As a matter of fact, we have an author with us today, Mark Weaver.
They've done a children's book. It's something we need to pass on to the next generation. God bless America 250 years strong.
So welcome, Mark.
Well, thank you, Robbie. It is a big birthday coming up, isn't it? Oh, it's amazing. And I am so thrilled um that God put it on your heart to make much of it.
Well, thank you. That's the key part, this book is so many history books are just dates and names. But the heart of my book is God's Hand on Our Country. and how that so many children don't know that. And so that God did put it on my heart for people to know that God's hand was on America as it rose to be the great nation it is.
Yeah, it's beautiful. And the the story is beautifully illustrated. What a wonderful thing for kids, especially for this coming holiday, to begin to celebrate it together. Again, this book's available at Amazon and all that. I've got a link there at kingdompursuits.com so you can check that out.
But also today, as A lot going on. We got Mike Loomis, and he has been on with us before, Race Against Drugs. He's got a big event coming up on August the 8th. And Mike does an amazing job of. Spreading information like You know, I didn't know anything about Narcam before I met Mike and the way that we can save people's lives and we can be.
Knowledgeable of this stuff as a Christian, being able to be there in that moment when somebody may need you, whether it's with some Narcim or whether it's. With some other information with drugs. And so, Mike, I'm so glad God put it on your heart to. To enter into this particular race that you're talking about.
Well, we appreciate it. And without your helping us out here to get this knowledge out to people and educate people. On fentanyl, illicit drugs, and help in the mental health field, both addiction and mental health go hand in hand.
So if nobody else is gonna do it, we're gonna stand up and walk that walk. In 21, when my son passed away, something woke me up. I never knew about fentanyl or any of that. But I went on down the road to get baptized four years ago. I got baptized.
And my ministry. Is the streets to educate people, people like you who don't know about Narcan or what Vitno is. I've handed you some pamphlets today that I'm sure you'll look at, but it takes. a village to raise a child. But in this reality, it's going to take villages to raise the people in this country because right now we're in distress.
These drugs are killing everybody.
Now you got xylosine. This thing is a non-opioid. that Narkan won't work on.
So when they're mixing it with ventinel, It's dynamite. You can't pull nobody out of it. They're not going to survive it.
So that's why we're here to get the word out about the event and what we do. Yeah, that's awesome. And so Getting back to this book um It's kind of cool as I looked at it briefly. Uh It's kind of spoken from a is my as I recall a grandmother's perspective. Yes, the story is a grandmother who's making a birthday cake and the grandkids come around and talk to her.
And she says, we're making a birthday cake for America. And while we're making the cake, let me tell you the stories that God used to shape our country. And then she tells the children all about America from the pilgrims arriving here.
so they could worship God freely. all the way to nine eleven and even today, At the end, there's some puzzles that grandma gives to kids about America, and then there's a recipe for a happy birthday America cake that grandmoms or moms and dads can make with their kids. Oh, really?
Well, that's cool. I didn't realize that part. But. that you actually have a recipe. And so I I'm guessing, Mark, you've actually cooked this particular cake.
You've you've followed your own recipe there? Yes, we're getting ready to make a big one for the Fourth of July, but I don't have enough to serve everybody in the country, so I'll probably just share it with my kids and my grandkids. That's really cool. And so I I did do you put food coloring or something in it so it's got red, right, white and blue layers? Yes, yes.
Or you can use strawberries and blueberries and with cream is another way to do it. You get the red, white and blue. But it's when the book is over, there's a little quiz that's funny for kids One of the questions, who was America's first president, George Washington? Abraham Lincoln or Joey Jiggle Jams.
So there's some fun questions, a fun little puzzle, and then it ends with a recipe that I really do hope people will make the Happy Birthday America cake with their family. Yeah, because it is a celebration that God is. Protected liberty and freedom in so many different ways that we enjoy through the sacrifice of so many. Um As you said, right back from the pilgrims. But I often find it absolutely amazing that when God puts something like this on your heart, Mark.
Um he's he's not just Wanting you to bless the children of America or bless, but he's blessing you. What, what. Did oh got awakened in you as you began to write this children's book, because it's amazing children's books. It's a little you you have to be really clear and and sometimes things become clear for you, right? That's a good way of putting it.
My faith walk has sustained me throughout my life, and I've always been a writer. But I never thought about a children's book. And it started really as a history project. But as I thought through the stories, it became very clear to me none of these things could have happened without the hand of God. In fact, one of our founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin, at the Constitutional Convention told the delegates, he said that If a sparrow cannot fall, without the notice of God, can a great republic rise without his aid.
And so this has been a constant theme throughout our story. That God is central to to the to the prosperity and the success and the freedom of America. Oh, wow. Yeah. And if you had a chance to see the movie put out by sight and sound theaters that.
that they um I think it's called A Great Awakening. No, but it's on my list. I've heard many good things.
Some friends have told me about it. I'd love to see it. Yeah, you ought to, and you can get it on Amazon now. Um Just, you know, watch it on Amazon. But They actually quote and the line you just described is almost key to the whole movie.
Because it's actually some interviewers, Robbie, have told me, well, you know, Ben Franklin wasn't much of a Christian. They think him a deist. He was actually a deist earlier in life. And one little-known fact about Franklin, on his deathbed, He called up a painting from his collection. A famous painting of Jesus pointing people towards heaven or towards hell.
And he had it placed at the foot of his deathbed so he could cast his eyes upon Jesus. in his final moments. And so he may have d dabbled with deism as a younger man, but Benjamin Franklin died a Christian. Yeah, it was beautiful. Um I I couldn't agree with you more.
And it's really neat. To think because I wasn't always a Christian either. And I don't think Mike was based on what we just heard. Yeah. You know, if somebody is wise as Ben Franklin, and you know, obviously he wrote.
Uh Was it Little Richards Almanac and all sorts of things that had, you know, the we use his sayings today, a penny saved is a penny earned, et cetera, et cetera. But if it took him a while to figure it out, I don't, you know, it just goes to show you that faith is a gift that God plans. You don't get it. He's also a man of science, right?
So he was one of the premier science. uh science experimenters of his age World renowned. And so this reminds us that we can follow science and still know that there is. A creator god. behind all the science.
Yeah, and unfortunately, when science goes wrong, we end up over here with Mike's group that. that people fall into using bad science. Bad science, and it gets scary.
So, so grateful for you guys being with us today. We're going to play a little shenanigans when we come back. We got again, God Bless America: 250 Years Strong is the name of the book. It's all linked there. You can get it on Amazon or go to ChristianCarGuy.com, as well as Race Against Drugs, Mike Loomis.

uh that you can share with your children as as well as some You know, some riddles, games, and uh even a Oh. recipe on how to make a Fourth of July cake. Right, and so since we're getting one of those books this week, Nick, I expect you to bake a cane. And that niggas looking at me like, I didn't realize Baker was part of what I got to do as a producer, but you know, it was one of those things. But also we have Mike Loomis in Race Against Drugs and so You know, we're not going to be here on the 4th of July, so we're going to be doing pre-recorded shows next week.
This was my one opportunity. And since we had Mark Weaver, God bless America, 250 years strong, you might guess that speaking of the 4th of July, it's a great way to play shenanigans, right? One big Yeah.
So, yes, it is time to play shenanigans. Oh, and we have. Oh, we have some unbelievable prizes loaded up for you, but but you gotta Do a few shenanigans here first. And so, Mark, you haven't had a chance to play with this before. It's just a simple, you know.
Kind of dad joke quiz to see how you guys are doing on your Fourth of July humor.
So, mm-mm-hmm.
Okay. Are you ready, Mike? You weren't ready the last time. No, last time I wasn't.
Okay. I think my wife was ahead of me then. These are pretty easy, I think.
So. And I'm thinking that that m Mark ought to be able to get these easy. since he's an expert on this stuff. What did the colonists wear to the Boston Tea Party? What did the colonist wear?
to the Boston Tea Party. What do you think, Mark? I was gonna say they brought their tea bags with them, but I'm not sure what they wore. Yeah, there you are. I wanna say Assaltics jersey.
Assaltic. That would be a. Yeah, that would be. No, they wore t-shirts. Yes, of course.
Of course. Of course they did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And this is an old one, so I do expect you to get it, but I always laugh whenever I see it.
So, how come there aren't any knock-knock jokes in America? About America, excuse me. There's no knock-knock jokes about America. You told me this one before, man. Ah, man.
Ah, I forgot it already. Have you got it, Mike? You said you were ready. Oh. We are a free country, freedom.
Yeah. You're close. You're close. Have you got it, Mark?
Well, because we all know who's there. Yeah, there you go. Yeah. Okay. And also because freedom rings.
Freedom rings. That's right. Freedom does ring. I remember in 1976, I was in New York City with the big boats. I lived in the city, and now it's 250 years.
Wow. Isn't that amazing? That went by vest. It did, didn't it?
Alright, so here you go. I love this one. Why did the firecracker go to the head salon hair salon? Why did the firecracker go to the hair salon? Hmm.
Did you get it? My God. A Bonbon now? I don't know. Had to get its bangs trimmed.
Oh. Bang trims. Yes. I love that. Yeah, and why did the lightning say what?
What? I'll get these, my reading in so good today. What did the lightning say to the fireworks? The lightning said to the fireworks, stand back and watch me shine. There you go.
I was going to say, I was saying, Or you stole my thunder. Oh. That's true. That's exactly right. Yeah.
And. A little untraditional today for you to call in and win. We're going to change up a little bit. And this is a 4th of July joke riddle that you can call in and win today because I just, it made me laugh. And I've read it many times.
on the air, but it's your chance to just Have a shot at a regular old Robbie Riddle.
So. If you can answer this one, you call us 866-348-7884. Especially if you're five or six years old, you can answer it. 866-348-7884. And just tell us what.
Does the Statue of Liberty stand for? You can't answer this one, Mike or Mark, or Nick. What does the Statue of Liberty Stand for. 866-348-7884. If you can answer that, Nick, what a prize vault we have today.
Oh, absolutely, Robbie. We have a fresh batch of Narcan that Mike was able to bring for us. And we also, of course, have our action Bibles and our back scratches, but our Narcan is what is most important. And we're getting two of the 250-year-strong books. Two hundred and fifty The God Bless America 250 Years Strong books are coming our way to be able to give away as well.
So if you can tell us. What does the Statue of Liberty stand for? You call us 866-348-7884. We might even just put together a whole prize package that would include some Narcan in case you happen to find yourself in a situation where you need that and somebody's overdosed with an opioid. Or, again, You can get the book.
And There's the always You've heard about this b Mark. Mike, excuse me, but you've never seen one today. Before you leave, I'm going to make sure you see the legendary Kingdom Pursuits. Gospel back scratcher.
Okay. It has the beads so that you can scratch somebody's back while you share the gospel. That's good. My wife actually broke my back scratcher last week. Oh, well, maybe you can.
Maybe you can answer the question off the air and we'll get it. But meanwhile, we do have Jenny is in Raleigh. She thinks she knows. Jenny. What does the Statue of Liberty stand for?
I'm thinking that it's sending a message, welcome to all the tired and weary. Oh, you're exactly right. And you and your huddled masses. It always is. And you're huddled masses.
Of course. I forgot that part. Yeah. Well, right now our masses, I guess, are a little bit limited, right? The huddled masses are Right.
Yeah. Okay, but But the tired and weary I think they are being welcomed. It's beautiful. I love that you know that. And I don't even know how I know it.
As soon as you elsewhere, I thought, welcome tired and weary. And I thought, where did that come from? It comes from my education, I think, as a child. Yeah. And so you you're going to get your choice of the Kingdom Pursuits Gospel Backscratcher, or maybe Nick will put together a whole package of Narcan, the God Bless America book.
Um and An action. We have all sorts of stuff, so I'm going to put you back on a hold, let you do that. But I would say that there's another answer. But Okay. Is more of a dad joke that when you hear it, you go, oh, if I was...
In fourth grade, I would have laughed at this, okay? I loved your answer, and your answer is absolutely right, and of course, you're a big winner.
Okay. The other answer: if somebody cares to call in at 866-348-7884, you might have heard it in the third grade or second grade. It's, you know, what does the Statue of Liberty stand? I can't wait to hear it. All right.
Thank you so much for calling in today, Jenny. God bless. God bless you. Thank you. All right, 866-348-7884, if you think you know that.
So, getting back to Race Against Drugs, his big event. Is coming up and it is huge. August 8th at the Breden Amphitheater in Lexington.
So the Breeden Amphitheater in Lexington. He's got food, vendors, inflatables. I mean, it's a big deal. And it is coming up, like we said, in a month or so. Unlike the Fourth of July, which is coming up next week.
So we want to make sure that you get these books ahead of time. But the day of recovery is coming up. And believe me, he's going to have all these things. And one of the things they just came out with, which is really, really helpful. is the truth about fentanyl.
Right? Because most people don't realize that you could touch a car door.
Well, they're putting it everywhere. And and if it if it's got a little Two two nanograms, two grains of salt. That's basically it. That will kill a human being. It'll take your life.
Putting it in water. People don't know this. They're putting it in marijuana. Everybody thinks who's smoking marijuana that it's a safe thing to do, but guess what? People are dying from fentanyl-lace marijuana, so it's in every single thing.
And that's why these Narcan things, you know, Which again we can Get here through race race against drugs, he's providing them, or whatever, or call in and win. You know, having this stuff available is really critical because you don't know. But what would be. Mike, what would be the Symptoms if you like, somebody's laying there. How do you?
They're turning purple, their fingers, their lips, they're nodding off, they're not responsive, they're having shallow breathing. These are all indications.
Now, naloxone will not hurt you. I've used it on myself to do demonstrations in front of the Davidson County School Board.
So if they're not ono-blades, it's not going to help them, it's not going to hurt them. But the neurons in the brain Get shut down by pitanol.
So it's kind of like picking a deflibirator to your heart and shocking your heart. That's exactly what the Narcan is trying to do to wake up the neurons in your brain to tell your body to breathe, to tell your heart to beat. And when you're doing this, when you administer this nasal spray, you know, you may have to use one. You may need to use two or three or four. I know people that have been hit with seven of them.
That's a lot. It may not even save your life if you've got that much fentanyl. I've got a family now, 52 nanograms. That's enough to kill 30 plus people. in their son's body.
And so, Darkand didn't save him.
So, you know. You got two minutes. You have two minutes to get this into the system, somebody, so. And it's it's a matter of education. Oh, yeah, that's what we do.
But the beautiful thing is, again, you know, as we get back to Mark's book, and the idea of I love the fact that you brought family into it with the grandmother and the idea that families that teach that stuff. When we ran up against the break, we didn't get much to. mark this segment so we'll Be honing in on that book when we come back. But in the meantime, if you happen to know what the Statue of Liberty stands for, Why does it I've heard it also said, why does it stand in New York Harbor? Maybe that's the answer that you're that you've heard before.
Why does the Statue of Liberty stand in New York Harbor? You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion. And uses it to build the kingdom. And so blessed today to have with us Mike Loomis with Race Against Drugs and Mark Weaver with God Bless America 250 Strong.
Amazing children's book. What a resource we have, right? To share this monumentous thing. Because as Mike was talking about, you know, we remember it back in obviously 1976 when it was 200 years, some of us do. You don't remember that, do you, Nick?
Some of us do. But it was 50 short years, and here we are, 250. And I'm hoping, Mike, I don't know about you, Mark. How about You know. 2076.
It won't be long, right, Mark? God willing. And we also have the anniversary of the Constitution coming up in 11 years. It'll be 250 years old. Wow.
Isn't that awesome?
Some of the other American history that you You know, just kind of blew your mind as you were doing were doing this research. What else did you discover?
Well, certainly I focus on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, but there's so many other great stories from Lewis and Clark. Discovering the rest of the country and settling it for us to expand, all the way through the Industrial Revolution. And now I'm an Ohioan, so I couldn't leave out the Wright brothers. who invented the airplane and flew it down there in North Carolina on the Great Wind. Thank you for that.
On the beaches of North Carolina. They built it in Dayton, Ohio, but they had to fly it at Kitty Hawk North Carolina. And then we go on to talk about World War I and II. Even uh 9-11 and Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech on on the Malvi, I Have a Dream speech, which continues the theme of God because Martin Luther King's dream was driven by the biblical vision of each of us. being made in the image of God.
Our core creed as Americans, that we were created equal in the eyes of God, and we are created with the image of God. That's beautiful. I love that. And my daughter went to college at Sanford University in Birmingham. And almost every time my wife and I went to Birmingham, we'd go to the Martin Luther King Jr.
um museum down there. Unbelievable. If you want to see what a man of God he was. Um And the amazing ministry that he had, and the influence that God gave him over such a short ministry. Right?
You know, 50 years of ministry, it was just a short window of time. And again, what America did through that. And I'm so grateful that you. Um You know, included things like that because it is a huge part. It's 250 years.
It isn't just what happened with the pilgrims. Because God continues to move, the story continues, right? And now it comes to the generation that were. Reading this book too? Yes.
And right before we get to the puzzles and the quiz and the recipe, the last chapter grandma tells her children is, it's up to the children to grow up and preserve the freedoms that our founding fathers and all these generations before us Helped create. John Adams famously wrote, Posterity, you will never know what I went through to get you these freedoms, and I will repent in heaven if you don't protect these freedoms yourself. I think he was being a little funny. He was trying to make a little joke, but he was serious in pointing out how difficult it was to achieve independence. and then create a form of government that would preserve individual freedoms.
Yeah, that's that's a stunning fact, isn't it? Um But that if You know, what happened at Valley Forge? And and those men that suffered unbelievably, and certainly the mothers that lost their children and in World War II or whatever, you know, in Vietnam, you name it. Um and and Um, brothers and sisters and it it like you say, what people have sacrificed. You know What an opportunity we have to pass that on.
But it's the same way with the gospel, right? And the reason why Jesus, I mean, like. Even in Deuteronomy 6, God said, pass this on to the children. Um and so you you're keeping that uh fresh and I I love that um The way you ended the book. That's so awesome.
And so, how big a book is this? It sounds like it must be fairly long. No, it's maybe thirty pages. It's perfectly aimed for the ages of five to eleven. The five year olds will need to have a grown up read it for them and the nine to ten, eleven year olds will read it on their own.
And I've had many grandparents tell me they wanted one for each grandchild. I've had Sunday school teachers say they wanted to use it for their Sunday school classes. Our public schools, too many of them at least, are trying to teach our children that there is no God. And that we're all just a clump of cells and they were all just Randomly here in the universe, and there's nothing to pay attention to looking backwards over our history. That's just not true.
And so parents are the first and best teachers. Grandparents are important teachers. We all need to be speaking into the lives of children and letting them know that this country was inspired by God. And we wouldn't be great without him. And if we ever turn from him, we will surely fall.
Yeah, it's beautiful. Absolutely. And in the The never-ending effort to keep America great, you know, an education of always, right? Um Children need to know about these things, Mike.
Well, I tell people that churches are our first line of defense. If we can get to the youth of this country, and educate them on the Bible. and what they should do and what they shouldn't do. But I learned, even with my kids, I have one who's in recovery now. Two years.
I have one who passed away. You can teach them so far till they hit a certain age. And you hope that they continue to learn from what you try to teach them. But I found out that's hard because they're going to meet people and start following other things. And, you know, that's what happened with James.
Followed the wrong people. Yeah, when you look at um mics Um Pamphlet for the upcoming event on August 8th. There's a big picture of his son. It says, Memory of James. And Okay.
You know The God of all comfort comforts us in a way that we can go comfort others with the way we were comforted. And so I'm curious, Mike. Have you had a chance to comfort some other parents have lost children. You you I got a one year old baby right now. that was uh murdered by Pentl, one years old.
He can't get up and say I love you, mamma. He can't say I love you, grandpa or grandma. He can't even say hi to no one. His father brought the drugs in the house. And Lidley got away with blatant homicide.
That's my opinion. The mother ended up going to jail for child abuse. And the man who brought the drugs in ended up with custody with two little girls. I worry so much. For how them little girls are gonna grow up.
But a one-year-old baby, he was on my billboard in Lexington, North Carolina.
So I deal with families all the time. I call people from two years ago. I call them and check on them on a monthly basis. we reach out to these families. And I got to know a lot of 'em personally.
I'm sure. I'm sure. And so they're grandfathers and grandmothers and And it's it's It's a generational thing, and just this is what we're talking about. And it's fascinating that we get to celebrate this 250th year, but I don't think I'll be around. But you know, Nick, you might be.
You know, 2076, how old are you going to be, Nick? Oh, I'm not good at math. You caught me on the spot. How old are you now? I'm 28.
Okay, then you'll be 78. 78. You'll be good. You'll say, man, I remember when I did the 250th anniversary show with Robbie Dillon. Yeah, absolutely.
I don't think you'll be around for the 350th, though. Forgot what they said. No, but my kids or grandkids, they definitely will.
Well, you'll know the book to get them. You know what I mean? Yeah, the book will still be relevant, even in 350 years, and then in heaven we'll talk about it. We'll be praising the Lord and talking about all the things we did to glorify Him. During our short time on Earth.
And how did you how did you arrange for the illustration? Because that's a gigantic thing in a children's book. Yeah, which is something I don't I'm not gifted that way.
So the great Dan McKenzie sat down with me and his graphic design and artistic skills made the pictures wonderful.
So, I can't take any credit for it, but I can certainly give him the praise he's owed.
So, I wrote the words and thought of the concepts, but Dan McKenzie was my illustrator. That's beautiful. You can see it when you go to the website. Either Amazon, again, it's God Bless America 250 years strong. We'll be right back with another segment for Racing Against Drug and God Bless America 250 years strong.
You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion. And uses it to build the kingdom again.
So blessed to have with us Mark Weaver. He's the author of God Bless America 250 Years Strong, and Mike Loomis with his race against drugs, a big event coming up August 8th. And again, both of these are all at kingdompursuits.com. You can get the book on Amazon, obviously, but you can also see the link right there at Amazon and kingdompursuits.com.
So, Nick. Nobody called in after, you know. We had a winner like that.
So, you may have thought that that was the answer, but actually. You knowing me as I as you do, why Does the Statue of Liberty stand in New York Harbor, or what does it stand for? I think it stands for You know, liberty, of course, I mean, statue of liberty, but what I mean by that is it stands for, you know. Coming to a place where you have more opportunities. Then um where you came from perhaps, or I think you ought to give yourself a back scratcher for that.
But again, you know me better than that. You knew that this was going to be a pun. I forgot there was a dad joke at the beginning. Yeah, what does the Statue of Liberty stand for? Or why does it stand in New York Harbor?
Because it can't sit down. Yeah. It's old, but it works. That makes me laugh. I don't know.
Mark, this is sort of a shorter segment, but I wanted to make sure you get said anything you wanted to make y get said about your book today on the show. Sure. I think even many some of the grandparents and parents may be surprised at some of the stories that maybe they didn't know. For example, our national anthem was originally a poem. Written by Francis Scott Key, captive on a British warship.
in Baltimore Harbor as it was being bombed by the British. And as in the dawn's early light, he saw the flag still there. He wrote a poem. They mixed it with the tune of an old Irish drinking song, and that gave us our Star Spangled Band. I hadn't heard the Irish drinking song part, but it was the War of 1812, wasn't it?
Yep. It was. And of course, that's the same war where the British attacked the White House. Started to burn it. And only the quick actions of Dolly Madison, the President's wife, to take down George Washington's famous portrait, roll it up and get it out of the White House, preserved probably the most famous of the Presidential portraits.
I didn't know that either. Did you know that, Mike? Buffalo, New York was burned in the War of 1812. They come across the Niagara River. And what now is Buffalo was called Black Rock.
which they actually burned and that was the original Buffalo, New York. Really?
Well, there shows what I know. I learned all sorts of things by getting to do this show, and so I know that you listening get to do the same. Again, the book is God Bless America, 250 Years Strong. It's available on Amazon. I'm sure bookstores wherever you get your books.
And again, if you go to Kingdom Pursuits and you've got plenty of time to get it before the 4th of July, bake that cake. I'm excited about that recipe at the end. I was hoping Nick would, you know. See what he can do. My stepdaddy's a chef, so he might.
Oh, yeah, we'll get when it comes in, send it to your stepdad. Say, Robbie wants a cake. I'm, I'm, you know, anyway. I'm so grateful for you being. And Mark, I want to make, I mean, Mike, I want to make sure you got the same opportunity to talk about anything you didn't get a chance to talk about today.
You want to make sure you got said. You know, we want. Anybody it's an open open event, free event for the public to come down. We're gonna have um Country Western band called, we're going to have a country western band called TTW coming in. We're going to have our gospel band.
They've been with us a few times. Call driving home. If you want some good gospel music that day, come down to the event. And you know, we got supporters like DavidsonLocal.com with Antoinette Kerr. She is incredible what she does with her site supporting us.
My family, guys, benders are welcome. Come down and support us. Come learn something. This is the problem with today's world. They don't want to be educated on this.
The stigma about drugs and mental health. You know, they're kicking these kids around, these people around. We're going to have Steve Jarvis, Senator Jarvis, there. We're going to have other dignitaries there. We're hoping the governor may be there.
We put a request in. And somebody from Congressman Addison McDowell's office. These people ran on pitanil. They ran on the pitanol card.
Now it's time to come up and put up or shut up about this because they have not come out here in public to our communities and supported the people who are suffering with addiction and mental health.
So it's August 8th, 2026 at the Breeding Amphitheater. And August 29th, real quick, I want to throw this in here. In front of the old courthouse in Lexington, we're going to be doing our annual night of remembrance. Four years in a row, we remember those who have passed away from pitanal, mental health, and addiction. Come out that night.
We have luminaries for family. You can reach me. Can I give them my number? Yes. You can call me at 336-313-1913.
And if you need help, anybody needs to get into recovery or mental health, we can get you into that. If you need Narcan, we don't charge. We will train you and give it to you. And you know, my wife, Lori, Lori, and my son, Michael. And I want to thank them too right there because he's in recovery, and my wife is behind the scenes.
So, with that. Again, easier for people to remember. Go to kingdompursuits.com, see the Race Against Drugs banner. There's a link to your website, which has your phone number and all that information as well. Again, it's Race Against Drugs.
Pretty easy to remember that one. And it's, you know, they have their website, et cetera. Again, the book. 250, God bless America, 250 years strong. Thank you so much for being on with us, Mark.
I really, really, really appreciate you doing that on short notice. As it's such an important, timely message, we get it out there today. God bless you, Robbie. Thank you. Thank you.
And Mike, as always, keep up the great work. Thank you. And now we thank you listeners for being with us today. You've got so much truth coming up. You got encouraging prayer with Dr.
James Banks. We're going to be talking about going boldly to the throne of grace.
