It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. I'm on Peachtree Street, the main one because there's like a million of them here. And thank you for listening regardless of where you might be. East Coast, West Coast, Down South, Midwest, Overseas, Canada. Thank you for being here and being joined by super producer and host Ryan Hickey. He's holding it down for us in New York City. This show gets started every weekday at 6pm Eastern, 3 Pacific.

We've already had a fun beginning of the show. We talked about Kellen Moore, former offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is now the new head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Good luck. Good luck trying to get something out of Derek Carr.

I don't know how that's going to go. He just talked about Brock Purdy. San Francisco 49ers are not trying to let that guy go. They've been paying him $3 million over the past four years.

Yeah, the price is about to go up. I could see them moving on from Deebo Samuel, but we've heard that. We'll talk about that in a second. Luka Doncic made his debut for the Dallas Mavericks. Oh, that's right. He's not a Maverick. He made his debut for the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday. Lakers are looking good. They won.

His former team, the Dallas Mavericks, well, they lost and they kicked some fans out of the building for asking for the GM to be fired. How weak. And that's everything we just discussed in the last hour. We have so much more to do.

How about this? In about 20 minutes, we're going to be joined by Eagles reporter Ed Kratz is going to join us later on in the show because the Dallas Mavericks are so much of a disaster. Kevin Gray Jr. is going to come through and join us. He covers the Dallas Mavericks. He's a pre and post game host on Dallas Mavs, DLLS Sports. We'll have that conversation as to what the Mavericks could possibly do next.

Besides, kick more of their fans out of the arena. Shame, shame, shame, shame. You want to reach out to me? It's simple. You can find me online all over the Internet at JR Sport Brief. Thank you to everyone listening on the free Odyssey app, your local infinity sports network affiliate, Sirius XM375. And if you have a smart speaker, ask it to play the infinity sports network.

As I told you. Right before the break, we talked about the 49ers. Brock Purdy looks like he'll be sticking around. Can't wait to see how much he gets paid.

Picky, he has to fall in that. You got to get about 50 minimum, right? You think about what some of these other quarterbacks are making. And I mean, you got guys who've never been to a Super Bowl making more than him. And I don't want to call it a make good. But you part of it is, man, you did so good on a minimum contract. He has to make 50 minimum, right? Maybe more than that.

Yes, yes. I also think there is an argument if you're the 49ers of look, Deebo Samuels hurt, Brandon Eick was out for most of the year. Christian McCaffrey essentially missed the entire year.

And your play suffered. Maybe take a little less, allow us a little bit more financial flexibility to put some talent around you. Maybe 50 is where you'll settle at. But I don't think not that this is really a conversation, but he's not getting 60 like Dak. No, I'll be surprised even if he gets 55, just because of what has been a down year again for him and the team around him. I think you need a few of the 49ers to push financial flexibility. Yeah, if he's willing to do so. But I think he can also take the position of, hey, my numbers were down, obviously, because I played with three garbage men.

You know, that's that's a possibility. You think about the average amount of money that quarterbacks are going to be making on average right now. Dak Prescott is in that 60 million dollar range. Joe Burrow is at a 55 million dollar range.

Hasn't well, he's been to a Super Bowl. Jordan Love is at 55. Trevor Lawrence is at 55. We know Trevor Lawrence doesn't know what a Super Bowl is.

Tua Tonga Valoa doesn't know what a Super Bowl is. 53 mil. Jared Goff has been there, but not with these Lions. He's making 53. Justin Herbert is making 52. Lamar Jackson, two time MVP, 52 mil. Jalen Hurts just won a Super Bowl. Is that 51 mil?

And now we're in Kyler Murray territory. 46 mil. Deshaun Watson, 46. I don't need to say more. Kirk Cousins, 45 million dollars.

And so automatically out the gate, if you're Brock Purdy, you go, wait a minute. I've been to a Super Bowl. Kirk Cousins didn't do that. Deshaun Watson is a pervert.

I'm not a pervert. Kyler Murray. I mean, they got to pay this guy to show up to work to study. I need to make more than him. OK, fine. I'm going to make more than 46 mil.

And then you think about the middle. Jordan Love is being paid on potential. Trevor Lawrence is being paid on potential at 55 each. And I've accomplished more than these two guys and they're making 55 and Tua is 53. Hickey, realistically, unless Brock Purdy is a saint or an angel, he might be making that that 53 or 55.

I know it sounds crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if Brock Purdy got that cash, man. I wouldn't. You do make a good argument in terms of like the guys in that high 40, low 50 range, more high 40 range. He has much more accomplishments and a lot less questions slash concerns. And he did, you know, get to the Super Bowl. And obviously Jalen Hurts winning one changes it.

But before this year, I was on par with what Jalen Hurts has been able to accomplish so far. So that's like the 51, like you said, 52 range. Feels about fair.

Yeah. I think the cap for sure would be about 55. I don't think he's going to get Joe Burrow money.

But maybe somewhere between Burrow and Burrow and Kyler. And then the other element is the guaranteed money. Like that's the thing. I mean, we know what Deshaun Watson, every dime and penny was guaranteed. How much guaranteed cash is he going to make out of the deal?

And so that might be where the concession and some of the flexibility is. And if you if you go by rumors, and I'm not even gonna call them rumors. If you saw an egg, Hickey mentioned a lot of the injuries last year, Brandon Iuke tore his ACL after he complained about a contract last year. You had Ricky Piersol.

This man got shot. Hickey, I want to say the date was August 11th. Let's see if I remember. I thought it was like Labor Day weekend going into the college football season.

What day was? Is that not August 31st? Oh, wow. OK.

He got shot over the holiday. Damn. I that's what stand.

I'm going to say August 31st. You are. Oh, wow. You are correct.

Let's go. Well, you know, you know, a day the guy got shot. He did.

August 31st. Man got shot in the chest and lived and played football this past year. And then Christian McCaffrey had the crap legs. OK. Achilles were busted. Cavs were all torn up. And the San Francisco 49ers, they went six and eleven.

Now I will say this. Hickey, did you see Deebo Samuel running around with that gut or is it just me? He looked a little he looked heavier, didn't he?

I don't want heavier. I think he does carry a lot of weight in general. He's fast. And like once, you know, that weight's moving, it's like a locomotive train.

It's hard to stop, which I think makes him so tough. But he never was a guy who had a six pack, you know? Yeah.

But he didn't always look as big as he did last year. Is he pulling the James Harden? What, to get moved? Get me out of town?

It's possible. Now, we know he wants to get paid, too. He wants a contract. And so Deebo Samuel, if you pay attention over the past several days, these guys, he's talking about, oh, well, you know, the Broncos could use a guy like me, you know, 49ers, I doubt, especially with now having to pay Brock Purdy. You know, why do I want Deebo Samuel here? It's enough.

I had to listen to Brandon. Are you complaining? And then the guy tears up his knee in the season. Like, do we need another wide receiver just being a pain in the ass?

I don't think so. I think the 49ers can have a good offense without Deebo Samuel, especially if he's going to be out of shape. He didn't perform up to snuff.

He complained about his role and his usage. And I guess people are expecting all the trick plays and the gadgets and just just go play for the Denver Broncos. Go play for Sean Payton, despite this. And what a lot of people say is Kyle Shanahan always finding a way to fail. I like the 49ers. I like him to bounce back from six and one last year.

I do. I got faith in Lynch. I got faith in Shanahan.

And just go ahead and dump Deebo Samuel. I got faith in the 49ers that they'll be right there. I don't want to say toe to toe, but they'll be back in the mix next year with teams like the Lions, the Eagles, who just obviously won the Super Bowl. They're going to be in the mix.

A matter of fact, they didn't take too much time. Fan duel, draft kings. We already got the odds on who is favored to win Super Bowl 60. The Eagles are plus 600. The Chiefs are plus 700. Ravens plus 700. Bills plus 700. Lions plus 900.

I guess all that gambling from Dan is scaring people away. The San Francisco 49ers plus 1500 Cincinnati Bengals plus 1800. The commanders next year, their quarterback will no longer be a rookie plus 1900. And we know things can get tough.

It's one thing to scare the living daylights out of people when they don't see you coming, but when they can expect you, they can prepare. I don't know if things are going to be as sweet for Jayden Daniels next year playing for the commanders. And if you're not someone who spends a ton of money and cash and what have you, if you put $100 down, for instance, on the Philadelphia Eagles plus 600, it means you make 700 bucks. You got to spend 100 to make that and you do the math.

Add 100 to it, it's 700 bucks. So these are the odds. What a shot the Eagles are looked upon as a team that can repeat. I know Kellen Moore is gone now, but if you think about Jaylen Hurts, even next season, this is going to be his fifth or maybe not even his, this might be his sixth offensive coordinator since he's been a member of the organization. Talent trumps all. I'd rather have the talent in place and worry about the coordinator later than have a coordinator and try to have him coach tomato cans.

It doesn't work that way. A matter of fact, earlier today, Mark Schlereth, who we've had here on the JR Sport Reef Show, he had a chat with Rich Eisen and he talked about why he believes in the Philadelphia Eagles to win again next year. Physically, they're a dominant football team. You know, they've got a few guys they have to address, but the bottom line is they're young, they're physical, and you know what, and I trust the way they've been built. I trust that they've got defensive linemen chomping at the bit, other linebackers chomping at the bit. Come on, man, they lost, they lost some guys along the way at the linebacker position. Everybody just stepped in and played their butts off. I tell you what, they've been exceptionally well coached.

Well, they got to figure out some deals for some of those key defenders. Bohn, a defensive player of the year candidate, didn't win it. He was a finalist.

I believe he led the NFL in tackles, had that big interception this past Sunday. Think about Sweat, he's going to be looking to get paid, had two and a half sacks against Patrick Mahomes this past Sunday. And so we know when you win the big one, when you win the championship, there's always going to be teams that are ready to come through and poach your talent.

It's like anything else. You have a successful organization, you got good people, good workers, and somebody is always ready to take them and try to have success with the talent that you helped cultivate and that you won with. And so the Philadelphia Eagles, no shock that between them and the Chiefs, as of today, those teams have the best odds to go back and compete for a championship. The Bengals, well, they can't be worse than what they were this year, right? They got to get back to the postseason.

That defense did them in 25th ranked defense. The Bengals had can't be that bad. I'm sure they'll end up with another wide receiver, not named Jamar Chase. Speaking of people getting paid, I'm sure he's going to exceed $40 million as a wide receiver. And then the Texans with all of their injuries this year, I'll be real interested to see how they bounce back or whether or not the Texans will just end up being in slightly above average team in the AFC.

We'll see what takes place. Hickey, you have any thoughts on these Super Bowl odds? Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Lions, 49ers, Bengals, Commanders? Sounds about right. Sounds about right.

It does. I'm with you. I do like a 49ers bounce back here. It still would favor the Eagles because you just look at this team like they're maybe outside of an offensive line piece. Maybe there looks like they're going to return almost everyone on offense. Defense is very young as well. You have to replace Kellen Moore, which is like you said, another offense coordinator for Jalen Hurts, but still that offensive system for the most part should not change. Should be plug and play will be a very attractive opening for a lot of smart offensive minds. Defense is staying the same, at least in terms of Vic Fangio. Again, maybe some small tweaks, but for the most part, like you said, it's going to be the same 8-9-10 contributors there.

I like Philly to run it back and I'm also with you in terms of like the Bengals. They have questions. They for sure have questions about T Higgins. I mean, Jamar Chase will be signed, but for how much? Trey Hendrickson last year wanted the new deal, didn't get it. Yes, 17 and a half sacks now, led the NFL. So it's like, I just think they have, I trust Joe Burrow and Co to be back and I like the defensive hire of Al Golden as their DC common player.

So that defense should be better. I do like the, and they always give the Chiefs a tough time. I do like the Bengals to bounce back here in 2025, despite the questions they have in terms of retaining some of their own talent.

Yeah. You, you can have Joe Burrow and just be average forever. We saw what he did help and take them to a Superbowl. I mean, we'll find out over the course of time. Hopefully the Bengals just do not waste this guy's career. I hope that's not the case. We know he'll be able to connect with chase for probably as long as he wants to until the end of their careers.

But anything less is just, it's going to be sad. It's the JR sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network. We're going to take a break on the other side, no sadness here. We're going to have a chat with Ed Kratz who covers the Philadelphia Eagles. You know, let's talk about who they can replace as offensive coordinator. Some of the question marks that they might have as they try to repeat you're locked into the JR sport re-show coast to coast on the infinity sports network. You're listening to the JR sport brief.

It is the JR sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network. Man, the Superbowl was, was two nights ago. We saw what happened to Philadelphia Eagles avenging that loss two seasons ago. Man, they're already favorites to repeat for next year to talk about the Philadelphia Eagles, what they've done this past season, the past several seasons, what we can expect in this off season, how they can get back to the Superbowl and more. Joining us right now is someone who's covered these Eagles for years recently and now for Sports Illustrated, it is Ed Kratz. Ed, how are you, man? Hey, I'm doing good, JR. How you doing? I'm excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to join us. I mean, we saw what the result was two years ago, a three-point loss, a loss of a lead to the Kansas City Chiefs. They go through last year, which was a disaster, how they started, how they finished. What are your thoughts on how these Eagles bounce back into being champs? Yeah, I think they realized that they maybe did not hire properly coming out of that Superbowl loss two years ago. And in fairness to them, they lost, you know, their offensive coordinator and their defensive coordinator, Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannett, the head coaching jobs.

And, you know, both were kind of out of the blue, so they weren't really prepared. You know, as Kellen Moore hiring, they've known about it for a couple of weeks now, so they're a little bit more prepared. But, you know, they brought in some new assistants under these new coordinators. They brought in Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio, and these guys were great teachers and they were able to kind of turn this roster over from one of the oldest in the league two years ago to the youngest in the league this year.

There were eight new defensive starters from that team two years ago. And to be honest, I think that loss two years ago, the way it ended, you know, with a holding call in the last two minutes to let the Chiefs kind of run the clock out and kick a field goal with just a handful of seconds to go, really motivated the Eagles through the past two years. And even Jeffrey Laurie, the owner, I talked to him kind of in the quiet off to the side, outside of a jubilant locker room, and he agreed that he's still angry the way that game ended. The way that penalty was called late, and that motivated them.

And they really went down there with a sense of unfinished business, and they were on a mission, and it really showed. Ed Krantz is here with us from Sports Illustrated. We know how up and down and what a roller coaster ride it could be for the team in Philadelphia, the responses to the players and management. Who had more to to kind of kind of wipe off their shoulder? Is it Nick Sirianni, who was getting into shouting matches with fans? Or was it Howie Roseman, who's had quite an up and down when it's come to drafting?

Well, I would probably say Nick Sirianni of that of those two. I mean, you know, Roseman has built a Super Bowl roster, you know, now it's three in the last eight years, you know, Lurie again talking to him thinks he's a Hall of Fame general manager. So, you know, I'm not sure it was much to do with Howie Roseman, and he's drafted fantastic, let's face it, these last few drafts. He has really drafted well.

A lot of these players that you see out there came in 2021, you know, obviously Jalen Hurts came in the 2020 draft, but from 2021 until last spring, he has drafted just fantastic. Nick Sirianni, on the other hand, you mentioned getting in fights with fans. I really think that the Eagles were considering firing him after they started this season two and two. They went to Tampa and really got smoked. And I don't think the owner was real happy.

And I think he was really, really on the hot seat. But then they came out of that buy. They had that narrow win against the Browns and fans weren't happy. They felt they should have clobbered the Browns. They only beat him 20 to 16. But it was a win. And I think, you know, they started to build on that.

They ended up winning 10 straight, which is a franchise record. And now all is rosy again with Nick Sirianni. In fact, he's entering the last year of his contract in 2025, you know, this fall. And I expect Jeffrey O'Leary to extend him as well as Howie Roseman. He's also entering the final year of his field. But I expect one of the bigger off-season stories in Philadelphia is going to be an extension for both of those guys. When you think about Nick Sirianni, you talk about the two and two start and people kind of starting to roll their eyes at him.

They looked at what took place last year. Have you seen an adjustment in Nick Sirianni as the season went on? Or is he just always kind of been the same guy?

Well, I think behind closed doors, he's been the same guy. And that's something to his credit is his players play for him. You know, they know that nobody was real happy with the performance of the team, and especially Nick Sirianni and the way he was kind of, you know, lashing out at fans. He was always berating officials on the sideline. He almost took the coach out of control, but behind closed doors, he's instilled the culture of everybody pulling from the same end of the rope, if you will.

His favorite quote, you can't be great without the greatness of others. But he's very much a player's coach. And the players love him, and they're going to play for him. And it showed, you know, when you talk to some of those guys in the locker room on Sunday night, they even said, you know, we wanted to win this thing for Nick because of everything that he's been through and all the doubt that's out there.

He's been called a lot of names nationally. But they really were in it for Nick because of the culture that he has brought together. They hate to be corny about it, but it's a culture of love. These players truly do love each other in the locker room. And I think that's reflected. They talk about always not wanting to let the player beside them down. They want to make their play because they don't want someone next to them to be upset that they didn't. They really play for each other.

And that's a culture that Sirianni has brought. And maybe that, you know, goes a little bit unnoticed because it's a behind the closed door thing. Ed Kratz covers the Eagles for Sports Illustrated. When we think about what's in store for this offseason, we know some of the pieces that might get paid elsewhere, whether it's a back then or sweat or bond. What do you think takes place this offseason for the Eagles?

They got a few holes to fill. Yeah, well, they have players that will hit the free agent market. Now, listen, I don't think Zach Bond will hit free agency. I think, you know, Howie has even pretty much, I think he went on Jason Kelce's podcast and pretty much said he's not going anywhere. So, you know, as much as Howie Roseman doesn't pay linebackers, you know, it's a position every team has them that they don't invest a lot of resources in. And, you know, linebacker has typically been one, but he's admitted, I'm not letting this guy get out the door, nor should he. People in New Orleans didn't really get a good look at Zach Bond when he was there for four years. He was more of a special teams guy, but they brought him here. Big Fangio figured he could do some things with him and he was right. And, you know, he was one of the finalists for the NFL's defensive player of the year, kind of out of the blue.

So he's not going anywhere. They need him back and they're going to bring him back. The other guys you mentioned, Makai Becton, you know, I'm not sure he comes back. They have Tyler Steen, a third round pick two years ago, I think would probably step into that role. But, you know, Becton's got a little bit of a knee issue.

You know, I don't know if it's a degenerative knee issue that could prevent maybe teams from giving me a huge contract to play tackle. And he liked his time in Philadelphia. He liked playing for Jeff Stoutland. But, you know, it's really all about who they're going to bring back.

They don't have too many holes. They could use a pass rusher for sure. A little light on that end of the field, you know, on the edge, maybe a defensive tackle because I fully expect Milton Williams to leave. I don't think they're going to be able to afford Milton Williams. He certainly made a lot of money with his Super Bowl performance, two sacks, a strip sack fumble of Patrick Mahomes, been just a rock solid player for four years here in Philadelphia. And Josh Swett, they're probably going to lose him too. I don't think either of those guys are coming back.

So you have to talk about holes. It would be the defensive line, but it's a deep defensive tackle draft from what I've heard. And I expect the Eagles to kind of target some players at defensive tackle and on the edge in the draft. How much time and how much grace I should say has Jalen Hurts kind of bought himself with this performance? A lot of criticism even throughout the victories this year. Now he's a champion in the Super Bowl MVP. How much grace does that grant him with the fan base? Well, you know, I think I'm not sure it's the fan base that he had to win over.

I think it's just a lot of national disrespect, to be honest. I mean, Jalen Hurts, all he does is win. And you can say what you want about winning and how that's accomplished. But, you know, the quarterback is always in the crosshairs when it comes to winning and losing. And, you know, he's won 45 games. He's six and three in the postseason. He's been to two Super Bowls. He's one and one in two Super Bowls.

And I think that's a pretty exclusive list. If you look at some others who went to two Super Bowls and went one and one, I think Troy Aikman's on that list. John Elway's on that list. There's some Hall of Fame quarterbacks. So I'm not sure it's a Philadelphia thing.

You know, there's always going to be, you know, people, whether it's nationally or here in Philadelphia, they're going to doubt him or, you know, question how he does things. And, okay, maybe he's not the prototypical big arm quarterback that, you know, like a Joe Burrow or a Josh Allen. But, you know, how many Super Bowls have they won? They can't beat Patrick Mahomes or the Chiefs. The Eagles did. And, you know, it was a team effort, of course, but Hurts certainly played a huge role in it because the Chiefs were defense. They were geared up to stop Saquon Barkley and they did. He had probably his worst game of the season and they dared Jalen Hurts to beat him and he did.

He did it with his legs and he did it with his arm. And, you know, I never really understood the disrespect that, you know, the nation has had for him. Maybe it's because he was a second round pick. Maybe because of how things went in college when he was benched in the national championship game when he was with Alabama.

I'm not sure what it is, but it's certainly unwarranted, in my opinion. Now, Ed, I'm specifically here out of Philadelphia. What do you hear from a national perspective where people say, hey, this guy doesn't do it or this guy can't get the job done? All he's done is win. Yeah, well, I think you hear it on all those, you know, I don't want to call anybody out, but I think you hear it on other talk shows nationally.

You know, you hear, you know, certain members of the national media that have airtime on, you know, some of the sports programs that are out there and, you know, never really got a lot of love. And I'm not sure he still will, but he should. Again, all he does is win. Look, he's been a starting quarterback full time for four seasons in Philadelphia. He's been to the playoffs all four years and no team is the same.

So he's the constant. How they got into the playoffs, Nick Ceriani and Jalen Hurts. And those are two guys that for some reason don't seem to get a lot of love nationally. Ed Kratz is here with us from Sports Illustrated. When you think about the youth of the team, I don't think more than four or five guys are even over the age of 30 years old. You think about the talent that they have. How far do you see this runway being for the Eagles?

Obviously, the odds on favorite right now to go back and repeat. Well, to win a Super Bowl, you know, it takes a lot of good fortune. It takes some good breaks.

It takes, you know, staying healthy. The Eagles were able to do that this year. But, you know, they have a lot of foundation pieces locked in. You know, they're an offensive line.

I'd say it's one of the best in football right now. They have their key players locked down. Lane Johnson, Jordan Malotta, Landon Dickerson.

Three-fifths of that line are locked down. Davante Smith and A.J. Brown, those receivers are locked down to the end of the decade. Jalen Hurts' contract runs through 2029. Maybe they could use help at tight end. Dallas Scottard has one year left as the tight end. Saquon Barkley has two more years left on the free agent deal he signed last year.

And then on the defensive side, they're just young and they're talented. You know, Jalen Carter, they got him in the top 10, ninth. He fell because of the red flags. You know, I remember he went home from the scouting combine because of a legal issue back in Florida, or I guess it was Georgia. He's from Florida. But, you know, he's a young case, 23 years old. You know, Nolan Smith, who really came into his zone, is 23 years old. Taylor Hunt, a rookie this year, I thought played very well in the Super Bowl, had some pressures. He's a rookie. And, you know, you look at the linebacker.

I mentioned Baughn. I think he's coming back into Kobe Dean, who wasn't on the field the playoffs. He tore up his knee in the wildcard game against the Packers.

May have a delayed start to his next season, but he had a great season this year. And then you look at their secondary. You know, two rookies, Cooper DeGene and Quinon Mitchell, two finalists for the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Extremely talented. Look what Cooper DeGene did. Talk about a Hollywood script in the Super Bowl. On his 22nd birthday, he gets his first career interception, his first pick six. It turns out it was a pick six. It comes against the GOAT, Patrick Mahomes. It comes against the Chiefs, the Dynasty, and it comes in the Super Bowl. So, you know, where do you go from here?

If you're Cooper DeGene, what do you do for an encore? But, you know, they're pretty buttoned down in that secondary. Reed Blankenship, the safety, has another year on his deal.

CJ Gardner-Johnson has two more years on his deal. So, you know, they have these guys locked in. And, you know, I don't expect, you know, I think the Eagles are poised to perhaps get back and maybe repeat. But again, like I said, it takes good fortune and it takes good health to do it. And most definitely.

Hey, as long as they keep selecting all them guys out of Georgia, I think they'll be perfectly fine. Hey, Ed, thank you so much for the time. Where can people follow you and your work with SI?

Yeah, you can hit me on the X platform at Kratzi and it's spelled K-R-A-C-Z-E. That's where you can find me. I put everything there. Thank you so much, Ed. We appreciate the time. Are you going to be at the parade?

I don't know yet. It's really not my scene. You know, a lot of people. I was going to say, wear a helmet, wear a helmet.

Yeah, even in the locker room after the game on Sunday night, it was like, geez, why didn't I wear like a raincoat or some goggles or something? But I'll be prepared if I go. I'm just not sure I'm going to go yet. Hey, the experience will be fun. I certainly understand. Hey, Ed, thank you so much. You enjoy the rest of the offseason, I guess I could call it.

Have a best you can, okay? Hey, thanks so much for having me. I appreciate it. Thank you so much. That's Ed Kratz from Sports Illustrated. It's the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. That's 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. Without a shadow of a doubt, the Philadelphia Eagles, they are certainly built to compete for the next few years. It wouldn't be a surprise to anybody if they were back in another Super Bowl. Damn it, they've gone two out of the last three years and the core of the team not going anywhere.

We're going to take a break. When we come back on the other side, I do have to tell you about a team that had championship aspirations. And right now, their locker room has been called toxic.

One of their star players is calling out a member of the media and quite frankly, their team ain't going to win a damn thing. I'm going to tell you who this team is on the other side. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbree show on the Infinity Sports Network. Thank you to everybody for listening all over coast to coast.

And thank you as well to Ed Kratz who just joined us. He covers the Philadelphia Eagles for Sports Illustrated. He says that these Eagles are all primed and ready to stay competitive into the future given their age, given the contracts that they have already handed out. It seems like the Philadelphia Eagles are smart. Unlike, I don't know, let's just say the Bengals. We talked about the Bengals and how they handle contracts and their young players. And then how about this?

Get a load of this. When we get to the top of the hour, I want to share with you some comments made by Dak Prescott, who was just doing a wonderful event at a children's hospital, honorable and amazing. But then, of course, he was asked about the Dallas Cowboys. He gave the Philadelphia Eagles their just due. And then he had some thoughts about the standing of the Dallas Cowboys as it relates to the Eagles.

Let's just say Dak is, I think he's overvaluing what the Dallas Cowboys are right now. I'll share that with you at the top of the hour. 855-212-4227. That's 855-212-4227. I need to let you know about the Defensive Player of the Week, sponsored by the Navy Federal Credit Union, who proudly serves the armed forces, DoD, veterans and their families. Their members are the mission.

You can learn more at NavyFederal.org. A big shout out to Forward for the Sacramento Kings, DeMar DeRozan. This man helped the Kings beat the Dallas Mavericks last night. He had 42 points, had the game-winning jumper in overtime, two seconds left on the clock, and the Kings knocked down the Mavs 129 to 128.

The win? He kept Sacramento even with the Warriors. They are now just half a game above the Warriors. They are now just half a game above the Warriors in the final play-in spot.

We'll talk about this later on in the show. As bad as the Mavs are looking, acquiring Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler's looking good for the Golden State Warriors. Let's see how long it lasts. And speaking of not looking good, we know the NBA trade deadline.

It came and it went last week. The big name that moved was Luka Doncic. We got Wim Benyama having a running mate with De'Aaron Fox.

And there's just a lot of movement. One team that didn't move anybody. Well, they moved Nurkic, but who cares about that, right? The Phoenix Suns were unable to move Kevin Durant. The Phoenix Suns were unable to move Bradley Beal. Bradley Beal has a no trade clause. He did not want to be traded despite knowing that they wanted to move him. I mean, they even forced him to the bench thinking that maybe if we put this guy on the bench, he's going to whine and cry his way out. No, he's the anti Jimmy Butler.

He said, my money is guaranteed and I'm going to stay my ass right on here. And so the Phoenix Suns tried to pivot and trade away Kevin Durant who wanted to go to the Phoenix Suns. And so what do the Suns have right now? Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, who they tried to trade, Kevin Durant, who they tried to trade. And so Ramona Shelbourne, we've had here as a guest on the JR Sport Reshow, she was on ESPN and she said, the fact that the Suns tried to trade two thirds of their superstars and were unsuccessful has left this team just in a toxic environment.

The environment is toxic. Bunch of miserable ass, wealthy superstars who know or knew the team didn't want him anymore. And now you got to show up to work somewhere where you know they didn't want you. I guess that's business as usual in the NBA or professional sports.

You sign a contract, you know, it can be moved. And so Kevin Durant and so Kevin Durant asked about this yesterday after shoot around. Kevin Durant said Ramona Shelbourne is saying that this place is a toxic environment. He says, how the hell can she say such a thing?

She's not even ever here. Yeah, I heard Ramona Shelbourne come out and say our locker room is toxic. I try to tell people who don't, who are not around this game as much is that it's easy to say our locker room is not connected when you come in there 45 minutes before the guys are in their game mode.

We're not talking to each other. Four or five guys might be in the training room. A few guys might be in the weight room. It's just, it's not a welcoming environment right before the game. You know what I'm saying? And that's just, it's part of getting ready to play.

Well, that, that's not a lie. These guys, I mean, they're not fraternizing them before the game. They're just kind of minding their business and, and getting ready to play. But you would assume that things would be rather uncomfortable with two superstars that know the team tried to get rid of them.

That's has to be a little uncomfortable. Kevin Durant continued on and said, nah, that's not fair. I think it's unfair and lazy to categorize our team that's toxic when you come in there for five minutes, four months. That's the only time you've been in our locker room.

Then you can make a narrative. I don't think that's fair to us, but like I said, that's part of the game. It's part of the business we signed up for. It's not fair in this game, but we got to deal with it and accept it. Yeah. Well, at least he's honest about it. They get paid enough money to not complain about the movement of it.

All right. This is what you signed up for. I mean, Dennis Schroeder, I don't even know what team he plays for right now. I think he landed with Detroit. Dennis Schroeder actually said that the players get moved around. He said it, man, this is like slavery. Nah, man, you getting millions of dollars.

You signed up for this, not slavery. Yeah. Anybody can get moved. Luca Doncic can get moved.

Dennis Schroeder, I mean, dammit over the course of his career. I feel like he's been traded, I don't know, 10 times by now. Started the season with the Nets, got sent to golden state. And then I think he got moved from golden state, sent to Orlando, sent from Orlando to Utah, maybe sent from Utah to Detroit. You still getting paid, right?

Those checks still clear. This is the nature of the beast. And for the Phoenix Suns, what a terrible, terrible trio that is. I mean, Bradley Beal isn't the player that he used to be. Devin Booker can still go out there and get you a million points, but why does he when you got Kevin Durant there, who even by himself, Kevin Durant is 36 years old, dropping 27 points a game, six rebounds and four assists like it's like it's nothing.

Kevin Durant was put on the earth to put the basketball in the hoop. The rest of the Suns team and shout out to my guy, Joshua Kogi. But I mean, oh, Hickey, can we can we make the Suns on the back end of the roster? I think we can.

We got some hustle left in us. Who the hell else is even on that team? Oh, my God. I couldn't tell you. It's like they got three guys and a guy that I know personally, and that's the only reason why I know him. Oh, my God. Who is this? They have Mason Plumlee.

OK, all right. They have Grayson Allen. I know Grayson Allen. Oh, he had a big game the other day, too. Did he? Yeah, a few three pointers.

They have Bol Bol, Ryan Dunn. OK, I don't. OK, he's black. I thought he was white.

Honestly, Sam, I thought he worked in our IT department. Yeah, we're done in IT. Yeah, go figure. Nick Nick Richards, who they just traded for.

OK, all right. Yeah, good luck to the the Phoenix Suns. Kevin Durant, Devin Booker. Oh, my God. My God, Joshua Kogi, I don't even know if he's on the team anymore.

How about that? Anyway, good luck to the Suns. It's the J.R. Sportbreeze show on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break when we come back on the other side. I told you we're going to hear from Dak Prescott and then talk about another miserable ass QB. Don't move. J.R. Sportbreeze show.
