It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Much love and many thanks to everybody tuned in and locked in all over North America. I'll be hanging out with you for the next two hours. This is a four-hour show. I get started every single weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. I'm in Atlanta, super producer and host Ryan Hickey.

He is in New York City. You can always listen to the show on the free Odyssey app. You can lock in on your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate. If you got Sirius XM, ask it, well you can do that too, but just put it on channel 158.

If you got a smart speaker, ask the speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network. You can talk to so many different computers nowadays. I just get confused.

Anyway, I'm not confused about this. We've had a lot to discuss. Talked about the NBA versus TNT. It looks like they're going to court.

Legal battle. Talked about Bill Belichick declining Kyle Shanahan's offer to join the 49ers. He said, no thank you. And Kyle Shanahan has other problems. Trent Williams wants a new contract.

Brandon Iyuk wants a contract. He just talked about Tua Tonga Veloa. He's at work. His head coach is just like, listen, I don't know.

It's fluid. He might practice tomorrow. He might not. Somebody at practice, he don't have to worry about anything. It's Patrick Mahomes. Jamar Chase won't even say the guy's name. Patrick Mahomes voted via the AP as the NFL's number one quarterback.

What a shock. Paul George says he was playing on the B team with the Clippers. Joel Embiid says everybody hates him.

He's the most hated guy in the world, in the NBA at least. Joel Embiid is in Paris getting ready for the Olympics. They play Sunday against Serbia. Team USA, they play today. The Olympics are underway.

They are. The opening ceremonies, you have to wait until Friday. But soccer and rugby underway because they got to play a lot of matches and they need rest. Team USA lost to France three to nothing. What a shock, right? And in the Olympic play, the men are only under the age of 23. And so even our young guys couldn't get the job done.

Anyway, we got a lot to get into. Congratulations, by the way. I got to give the Knicks congratulations when I can. Tom Thibodeau got himself a new contract.

New York Knicks signed him to a three-year contract extension. Fun stuff. Lots of fun stuff. And then also, it's Wednesday. You should know what I do every single Wednesday. Every Wednesday, I bring you a new top six list.

Today will be no different. You know, all week, I've had to tell you about all these interesting training camp stories. All week, I've had to tell you about all these angry, upset players. They want more money. They need a new contract. They need this.

They need that. Nobody's happy. Now, for some teams, we notice they're playing for a championship. The other teams are playing for nothing. And there's a whole lot of teams that if things don't go well, or if things don't at minimum improve, these teams are cooked. And when I say a team is cooked, things can get blown to shreds.

When I say cooked, the squad can just be blown up. The coach can be gone. The quarterback could be gone.

The general manager could be gone. And today, as I do every Wednesday, I'm going to share with you a top six list. And we're going to talk about the top six NFL teams already in turmoil. I mean, camp is just starting. And there are already question marks, people on pins and needles, because there's a lot at stake. And you know what? I won't keep you in any more suspense. It's time to take a look at a top six list of NFL teams that are right on the wire because they're, they're, they're fringe.

They're in turmoil. Come on. Six, five, four, three, two, one. It's time to get JR's latest top six list only on the JR sport brief.

It is the JR sport free show here with you on the infinity sports network. It's time to take a list or take a look at the top six NFL teams already in turmoil. I mean, dammit training camp is just starting and we got teams that are just things don't feel good. They can go this way or that way.

And if they go the wrong way, things can get worse real fast. You know what? What team is in turmoil? What's the number that we start off with?

Number six, because it is a top six list. We got to go to Denver, Colorado. Oh man. I loved the turmoil last year. It was great theater. You got a head coach and Sean Payton. I know they ended better than they finished or started. They finished the season eight and nine, but just the idea of Sean Payton hating the guts of Russell Wilson and Russell Wilson probably hating his guts is enough to make me feel good. I don't know. Sean Payton comes in and tells the guy, Hey, you can't, can't have your own office. What the hell you think this is?

Get downstairs with everybody else. And then he gets Russell Wilson to hell up on out of here and they're still in turmoil. You want to know why? Because if he's going to put a bet on anything, we're going to have to look at Sean Payton. So put his faith and Bo next, let me know how that works out. Russell Wilson is now gone. They had to eat that gigantic contract. He is now a member of the Steelers and Sean Payton is still there. Hey Sean, what are you going to do without Drew Brees?

At least they got Jerry Judy out of there too, but that's besides the point. Sean Payton is just going to be miserable. Sean Payton is just going to be angry. At least this off season, he's not talking crap about somebody else's coach. He is still talking crap. He's an angry man. I want you to listen to Sean Payton from yesterday.

He's already at it. He was talking to a reporter. He was mad at the reporter for asking about Lucas Kroll the tight end and just whether or not he had the best off season.

Listen to this. How far behind is he based on Lucas Kroll was maybe your best player this entire off season. And I hope you had a good summer, by the way.

I do too. But did you say Lucas was our best player, best tight end? It's arguable.

He was among the best. No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. No? All right. I'll answer your question, but you're not close. Tell me who was that.

That's nice. That was kind of him because typically he would curse somebody out. We got a kinder, gentler Sean Payton. How this man lasts with a rebuilding Denver Broncos team.

I have no idea. I have a feeling he's just going to wake up and just quit and go back to TV and be disrespectful there. Anyway, I got the Broncos at number six on my list. Top six NFL teams in turmoil. They're number six. What do we got next?

Number five. This is one of those teams. It can go good, but we're going to find out real soon if it is just bad. At number five on my list, NFL teams in turmoil, the Carolina Panthers. Not only do they have an owner in David Tupper who likes to throw drinks at fans, they got a quarterback that they selected number one last year.

They better hope he works out. Bryce Young threw 11 touchdowns in 10 games Young threw 11 touchdowns in 10 interceptions playing with me and you. No disrespect to Adam Thielen. My bad. My bad.

But he wasn't working with anybody. The Panthers went two and 15 last year. They bring in Dave Canales from Tampa Bay. And if he can't fix this man with the new weapons, they brought in Deontay Johnson, Xavier LeGette. If Bryce Young can't have a turnaround, the Panthers are cooked. They're going to have to find another quarterback.

They selected a dude who's five foot 10. They got him out of Alabama. But man, they were making fun of him yesterday for showing up to work. Hickey, did you see him with his back sack on yesterday? Did you see him? I did. And I think the comments, unfortunately, were accurate. And they said, it looks like a seventh grader showing up for the first day of school.

He looks like a middle schooler, like carrying books that are like three times his weight. If things don't work out for the Panthers, if Bryce Young is not the answer, they're getting him the hell up one out of there. And unfortunately for the Carolina Panthers, they're going to have to start over again. That's something nobody wants to do.

If it don't work, they're screwed. At least they get a pick this year. But anyway, Bryce Young, hey, the quarterback, he spoke to the media yesterday, and he's been chatting it up with the former Panther. His name? Cam Newton. Cam Newton gave him advice.

Hey, Bryce, what did Cam Newton tell you? To keep your head down, obviously, you know, when you're in the moment, whether it be last year, honestly, anything in life, it's easy to get caught up in that. And then, you know, obviously now someone like Cam's career, you look back on it. And, you know, all you think about is, you know, you think about the MVP, you think about all the great things you did. And just like any buddy, any person in life sports, you know, there's ups and downs, so just to persevere, to push through things. And, you know, obviously you want to be invested in where you are, where your feet are, and be there.

But know that through ups and downs, just to keep working. Come on, man. Everybody says he's great. CJ Stroud, his friend is like, oh, he's great.

Cam Newton's like, keep your head down. Like, Bryce, it can't be as bad as it was last year, right? I think there will be an improvement. But this doesn't change the fact that they're a team in turmoil. Because if things don't work, the Panthers are going to be cooked for the next four years trying to figure this out. We're talking about NFL teams in turmoil. If I got the Panthers at five, what's next?

Number four. We got to go to the Big Easy. I'm sorry. I'm just being honest. The New Orleans Saints went nine and eight last year.

But I'll tell you this. The Saints players, NFL players, you can go take a look at the NFLPA polling. They do not like Dennis Allen. They don't.

This man is awful. You want to know who else people don't like in New Orleans? They don't like Derek Carr. If you've ever been to a football game in the Superdome, it's a big old party. People are having fun. They're cheering. They're dancing.

They're playing the instruments. They're having fun, man. It's a party. I love it. When Derek Carr plays.

Well, I'm not going to say all the time. They booed the man last year. They booed Derek Carr. You know Derek Carr. He's a real emotional guy.

I know that man was crying on the inside. He just got to New Orleans. Maybe he needs to stop going to the cities where people party.

OK, playing in Vegas, playing in New Orleans. He needs to go to a boring place for Derek Carr to play. Like a real boring place. Oh boy.

Really put him on the spot here. Boring place. Seattle. OK, sure.

Yeah, sure. I don't know. I was going to say Carolina.

Charlotte. Oh, ouch. No, they boo him out there too. OK, they booed him. That was ignorance.

I just threw that out there. No, no boos in Seattle. No boos.

No boos. Nobody likes Derek Carr. But for whatever reason, Derek Carr.

God bless him. He no longer has to throw the ball. Well, nobody threw the ball on Michael Thomas.

He hasn't really been seen since twenty nineteen. Anyway, Alvin Kamara. He wants a new contract. The Saints are just they seem like a team going nowhere.

They ain't going to be competing for nothing. That's just the facts. But Derek Carr, all the optimist, always. He spoke to the media. He spoke to them yesterday. And Derek Carr said, people, I am so tired.

A matter of fact, he said this last month, he is so tired because he's been working so hard this offseason. Listen to Russell Wilson, Jr. I just tried my best to take everything in the experience that I've learned. And I said, I asked myself that question, how can I be better in this first year?

And I looked at everything I'm doing and I just tried to take it all to just an extreme level of mental capacity that I could possibly take. And hopefully I'm not showing too much, but I'm tired. You know, like this offseason has been an absolute mental grind for me and for my teammates. You know, I don't have any promises. I don't have any guarantees that it's going to be better. I just know that we did more.

I think he's going to have plenty of time to rest when they throw Spencer Rattler out there. By what week? Uh, six, seven.

I was going to say, if I said like week seven, taking the over the under, you would take the right about there kind of spot on. Yeah. Yeah. Six, seven.

So what was that, like Halloween? Over. Over. Yeah. Over. Yeah. They're going to boo him and they're just going to be like, put, put Spence out there.

We can't do this. They don't boo in the world. Is it? They're happy. Everybody's having a party and drinking and they booing him. They're booing him.

You got to really be in a clear state of mind to boo that guy. It's I feel bad. No, I'd great way to phrase it. Yeah, I feel bad.

No, I don't. Anyway, the saints are number four. You talk about a team in turmoil. They are a team going absolutely nowhere.

Shout out to my folks listening on WWL anyway. Top six NFL teams in turmoil is saints of four. What's next?

Number three. This team is in so much turmoil. This team is in so much of a space of transition. This team can go one way or the other, probably leaning the wrong direction.

They got a whole television show about it. I'm talking about the New York football Giants. The Giants are so bad. They're currently being featured on hard knocks where everybody is being able to pretty much pick apart what they've done this offseason like letting Saquon Barkley walk, checking in on the rehab of Daniel Jones.

You can never play a game. Daniel Jones played six games last year before blowing out his ACL. If it's not his neck, it's his knee. If it's not his knee, it's his brain. If it's not his brain, it's something else. If it's not his knee, it's his brain.

If it's not his brain, it's something else. You want to win something, you need a quarterback. Brian Debo lost so much weight just with the stress of this New York Giants job.

It was six and 11 last year. Daniel Jones got a contract. Saquon Barkley is now gone. If Daniel Jones don't work out, they're screwed. They're done.

They're over. You know how bad it is? Even Joe Shane's son, that's the GM of the Giants. If you watch hard knocks, you saw this. Even his son during the draft was saying, you got to go get Jayden Daniels.

And we know where he ended up in Washington. Listen to this. Who do you want me to take? Give me a name. Jayden Daniels.

Straight up and get him. Okay. If Jayden Daniels only get this job once, try to win.

All right. Jayden Daniels. Carson wants Jayden Daniels.

Damn, man. If you're, if you're Daniel Jones sitting at home watching that, and even if he's not watching it, you know people are telling him about it. Like damn, even the GM's son doesn't want me? Hickey, does he cry? Does he count his money?

I think both. Wiping the tears at the $100 bills. What does he do the next time he sees his son? Just pats him on the head, right? Stuff him in a locker. Oh damn, vicious. Go to jail for that, Hickey. Come on.

He can't abuse other people's kids. Just some locker room horseplay. Oh, in the NFL? Hazing.

Well. Hazing. Hazing. Can't do that. Against the collective bargaining agreement to harass the GM's son. He could trip him. Daniel Jones isn't opposed to tripping himself. He could trip him. What if he throws a quote unquote inaccurate pass?

Ah, in his head. Right, right. And just happens to like, kind of Tim Tebow just bounces there 30 yards out of the play.

Nothing wrong with that. Yeah, test his accuracy. Why not? Ball slipped. Yeah, this whole season is about whether or not Daniel Jones can stay healthy and throw an accurate pass. And if he can't, the Giants are screwed. Top six NFL teams in turmoil. If I got the Giants at three, what's next?

Number two. This team has been in turmoil forever. Even when they win, they lose. It's the Dallas Cowboys.

I'm sorry. Jerry Jones is the owner. Every year, the past three years, they're 12 and five. They got smacked, smoked, destroyed by the Packers, 48 to 32. Mike McCarthy. This man has a winning record with the team.

167, 102, 11, 11 in the playoffs. Jerry Jones got this man sweating bullets, not guaranteeing his contract. Dak Prescott is out here sweating bullets. He don't have a deal. No guarantee that he'll be a cowboy into the future.

Jerry Jones brought back Ezekiel Elliott. That's the big move. That's the big move.

Just has everybody sweating it out like it's the Hunger Games to finish out this year. What a mess. Oh, yeah. By the way, C.D.

Lamb, not at work. Dallas Cowboys are a drama show every single year. Jerry's son, Steven Jones, he said the Cowboys regular season success. The fans don't care about it. We need to win the chip.

Listen to this on the Scoop City podcast. You know, a lot of people want to, you know, somewhat be critical. Of the organization of Jerry and myself, of Coach McCarthy, of our team. And of course, Dak, being the quarterback, gets the brunt of it. You know that, Chase, of our success in the playoffs. But at the same time, you got to, you know, certainly recognize that we won 36 regular season games in three years, which, of course, we're playing 17 now. I think the Patriots may have done that, doing it 16 games on a three year run. But, you know, we're having really great success in the regular season.

And there's no question. I understand the criticism from our fans. I understand criticism from media. We all understand that, you know, in terms of not winning the big game in the playoffs. And we certainly got to take that next step. I know we could go out there and no one's assuming anything and win, you know, have another great regular season and no one's going to give. And they should. No one's going to, you know, really give. Hey, they're going to get it done this time until they see it. And we understand that. It's been that way for too damn long. Everybody's getting fired at the end of the year. Everybody.

C.D. Lamb is going to get a contract over the next several weeks. And at the end of the year, everybody's getting fired. The Dallas Cowboys just need to change their name to Turmoil. It's the J.R. Sportbreeze Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break when we come back on the other side. I'm going to tell you what team took the cake at number one.

It's the J.R. Sportbreeze Show, the Infinity Sports Network. You sit in traffic now, but later there's an ice cold reward. Medella, the mark of a fight. You've earned this rich golden lager with a crisp, refreshing taste because, you know, all your patience is paid out in gold.

You remain calm through haunts, bumper to bumper and people yelling. You are a fighter and Medella is your reward. Medella, the mark of a fighter. Trick responsibly.

Beer imported by Crown Import, Chicago, Illinois. Our daughter, Jesse, loves playing detective. A clue. But since we discovered she has sensitive skin, we've been playing detective too. We thought the problem was our puppy, but it was actually our old detergent.

Aha. So we switched to Tide Free and Gentle. Tide Clean's better than the leading competitive free detergent and it doesn't leave behind irritating residues. Plus, Tide Free and Gentle has no dyes or perfumes, so it's gentle on her skin. Case closed.

If it's got to be clean, it's got to be Tide Free and Gentle. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Training camps are underway in the NFL. We're taking a look at the top six NFL teams that are in turmoil. Like they just started things up and it's just like, oh, it can go, it's real shaky. It could go this way or that way.

But if it don't go good, things are going to get worse. I'm about to share with you who I have at number one, but let's go through a quick recap. At number six, I gave you the Denver Broncos. No more Russell Wilson to blame. Sean Payton has to develop Bo Nix if he wants to have a future.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sean Payton woke up one day and said, you know what, I'm gone. But he can't be a quitter, right? He has to get fired.

But then he gets fired. It doesn't look good. He should have stayed on TV. Not really.

I didn't remember anything you ever said on TV. Anyway, I got the Broncos at number six. At number five, you want to talk about a team and NFL turmoil? Look at the Panthers. They drafted Bryce Young, number one overall last year.

Didn't play with anybody, literally, he didn't. Threw 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Meanwhile, CJ Stroud, taken right behind him, went to the playoffs. If Bryce Young can't turn things around, if the Panthers can't turn things around with Dave Canellas.

Oh, they're really cooked. Bryce Young is going to get the boots. You want to talk about a team in turmoil? And then before I gave you the Saints, nobody likes Derek Carr. I mean, they booed this man in New Orleans.

You know how much alcohol it takes to boo this guy? And they hate Dennis Allen, too. Nobody likes either one of these guys. At least Michael Thomas is gone. He's not on any team because he hasn't been productive since 2019. He needs new legs. Top six NFL teams in turmoil.

At number three, I gave you the New York Giants. Daniel Jones, he going to sink or he going to swim? And if he sinks and can't stay healthy, then he's out of there. I mean, even his own son or the son of the GM, Joe Shane, was like, man, we need we need Jayden Daniels. We don't need Daniel Jones on the team.

What a way to find out your own GM. This household hates you. And number two, a team in turmoil. What else is new? A team owned by Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys. C.D. Lamb, not at work. Dak Prescott wants a new contract. Mike McCarthy, lame duck coach.

Jerry Jones eating unhealthy food. It's just a bad team. That'll go twelve and five and disappoint you in the postseason. So if I got the Dallas Cowboys at number two on my list. Can there really be a team? And much more disarray and turmoil, just up and down and awful.

Of course there is. And that team is number one. The New York Jets. New York Jets got a 40 year old quarterback. Who is running the whole damn show. The New York Jets got a 40 year old quarterback.

Who will hang out in Oregon for a wellness retreat while doing drugs, psychedelics. Good for him. And then he'll show up and get hurt because offensive line sucks. The New York Jets have pinned their entire faith. On one of the most wishy washy superstars in NFL history, a guy who runs around with multiple MVPs, four of them.

But is also someone who doesn't know when to shut the hell up. The Jets went seven and ten last year. How they did this, I have no idea. Zach Wilson at quarterback Aaron Rodgers goes down after four snaps of the football. And if it doesn't work this year, every New York Jets knows they're on borrowed time. Joe Douglas knows he's getting the boot. Rob Salah knows he's getting the boot.

And Aaron Rodgers will just pack up his bags and go, well, I tried. Got these guys fired. Well, maybe they got themselves fired for, I don't know, drafting Zach Wilson in the first place. New York Jets are a mess. And how about they got Hassan Redick. They traded for him.

He doesn't even want to show up for work. The Jets are a mess. They got all this talent all over the place on defense and offense. They added players like Mike Williams. Hopefully he stays healthy. They got Tyron Smith. Hopefully he stays healthy. The Jets are always going in the wrong direction.

Nobody is getting an extra chance here. And if they can all put their pieces together and form like Voltron, they can win a Super Bowl, I guess. At least that's what Aaron Rodgers told us. It has to be the goal. I mean, the beauty is every single year there's eight to 12 teams, maybe, probably less, but eight to 12 teams that could actually do it. And we're one of those eight to 12.

If you're healthy, if you don't cause trouble, if you don't become a distraction, if you're not on Jimmy Kimmel, I don't know a Pat McAfee making Jimmy Kimmel's sexual assault jokes. I mean, come on, man. This is the New York Jets starting quarterback. He does everything except for just play quarterback, but no distractions. Oh, that's right. He did just come back from Egypt. And he talked about that as well. He said he got fined for skipping minicamp because it was unexcused, air quotes.

Listen to this. Did you get fined? Yeah. Do you think Robert needed 50, the 50 mandatory, the mandatory amount?

That's I think it's 50. Oh, I mean, yeah, I think it might've been a little more than that. You know, I had talks with all my teammates about it.

I think they understood is obviously more of an issue outside the building than it was inside the building. Robert and I are great. I wonder if anybody else could just, just get up and leave and just say, Hey, I'm not going to be at work. I'm being Egypt. Well, Aaron Rogers is the coach. I don't care. Even if they finding the guy, he's the coach, he's the GM. He's going to get all these guys fired and he's just going to leave and shrug his shoulders on the way out the door. Sorry guys.

It didn't work out. Bye. We'll talk about the number one NFL team in turmoil.

Yeah. It's the New York Jets. And number six, I gave you the Broncos. And number five, I gave you the Panthers. And number four, I gave you the saints. And number three, I gave you the New York giants. And number two, a team in turmoil. Of course, every year it's the Dallas Cowboys. And at number one, I gave you the New York jets coached and managed by Aaron Rogers.

What a bad idea. It's the JR sport reshow here with you on the infinity sports network. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. Is there another NFL team in trouble? Is there another NFL team that's just kind of teetering on the edge of just getting blown to shreds? Knock yourself out. You can call me up. You know what? A matter of fact, when we come back on the other side of the break, I'm going to ask Hickey.

I'm going to get his thoughts. Is there another NFL team that's kind of teetering on the edge of just blowing up? And then I want to tell you about another team. Two seasons ago, they just went to the Super Bowl. And last year, oh man, they just fell apart and suck.

They better get it together. I'm going to tell you what team that is on the other side. You're listening to the JR sport brief, the JR sport reshow here with you on the infinity sports network. I just gave you a top six list.

Training camps are open. We talked about the top six NFL teams in turmoil. Who's right on the edge? Didn't go good. Oh yeah. Didn't get blasted off. Oh, hell yeah.

Not in a good way. I need you to think O'Reilly auto parts for all of your car care needs. You're guaranteed low prices and excellent customer service from the professional parts people at O'Reilly auto parts. There's some other teams I could have put on this list. Teams that are kind of right on the edge. It could go good.

It could go bad. I had the jets at number one on the list and number six, I gave you the Broncos. Number five, I gave you the Panthers. Number four, I gave you the saints. Number three, I gave you the giants. Number two, I gave you the Cowboys. Number one, I gave you the new York jets. Have not seen the post season since 2010. If things don't go well, everybody is getting a boot.

Get hickey's thoughts in a minute. I'm going to tell you about another team. They're not in turn. They could go. This team is on the extreme.

They can go to the super bowl, but they can just tell a coach, take a hike. I'll tell you who that is in a minute. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. Rod is calling from Buffalo. You are on the JR sport reshow. Go ahead, Rod. JR, how are you? Excellent. How are you? Good, good.

Thank you. I'm obviously calling from Buffalo. He's Bill's fan. I feel like the Bills are probably on that list as well based on a complete overhaul of our wide receiver core, but it kind of pings me to call you, but there is no way that we keep saying if Aaron Rogers isn't great, if this goes bad. Well, listen, if Josh Allen gets hurt, if we get like all kinds of ifs, the New York jets talent wise could be a top three team in the league. I mean, Aaron Rogers, again, older.

I get it. The whole nine Tom Brady was older and he was still an amazing quarterback. If that guy stays healthy there, their wide receiver had no one last year over a thousand yards, eight, nine, 10, 12 touchdowns, whatever it is. They're running back is dominant. They have an amazing defense to sit here and think that if things don't go right, well, guess what? If things don't go right for Pat Mahomes and he gets hurt, then that team's screwed too. But for you to have them number one, based on talent alone, to me is crazy.

Well, Rod, help me. I want you to understand this. This is not based on talent. There are a lot of NFL teams that have talent. The list is a top six list of NFL teams in turmoil. It's not a list about who has the most talent.

I mean, I could walk outside and get hit by a bus. I hope it doesn't happen, but here's why. Well, thank you so much. I appreciate it. Here are the facts. The New York Jets as an organization are a bleep show. OK, do you understand the reasons why I would have them at number one on the list? It's not just about talent. No, I didn't ask you that. I told you this is a list of NFL teams where things can go left or right.

I'll tell you this. If Patrick Mahomes, if if he went down and he was unavailable, the Chiefs would have a crap season. OK, we know that the man would come back in another year and I think the Chiefs would be fine. They wouldn't be looking for a new quarterback. They wouldn't be looking for a new coach. The general manager would not be fired.

The fans and the owner wouldn't be thinking about what the next five to 10 years look like. If things don't work out specifically for the New York Jets, the general manager gets fired for his past decisions. It has nothing to do with the talent on the roster this year. It has to deal with the talent that he tried to draft, namely Zach Wilson.

He had to try to fix that by bringing in just a controversial, somebody you can't shut up. And Aaron Rodgers also happens to be 40 years old and entry prone. His defensive coordinator, who's running the team and Rob Salah, will also get fired. If things don't work out for the Jets, this is not Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen getting hurt. This is a team that is going into the doldrums for the next several years. Now, that's turmoil that you can't necessarily put in a lot of other spaces.

You see, I understand your premise, but at the end of the day, we cannot sit here and look at that team and pretend that they haven't drafted great in the last three years. No, no, no. Rod, Rod, Rod, Rod. Listen, listen, listen to me, Rod.

This is this sounds like something that you're having difficulty understanding. This is not about talent. OK, the position that is most important that they have drafted and failed at.

Joe Douglas specifically, because I can go back to other guys like Mike Mccagnan, I can go back in time and thinking about this. But I have to think about the current regime, the fact that they drafted Zach Wilson and they whiffed, the fact that they decided to bring on Aaron Rodgers and in the first year did not work out. There's only but so many mulligans that they receive. It's not about. Listen to me very carefully. This is not about talent. This is about the results.

And the results say if this does not work out for the Jets this year, everybody gets fired. Do you understand that? I understand what you're saying.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Do you understand? Listen, you can, but you're not being very clear. I do. You let me know. Let me talk about very clear.

No, no, no, no. You need to answer me. And I'm trying to be very patient with you because this doesn't sound good, Rod. Let's try again.

Nobody can hear you because you're on hold. It's a very simple question, Rod. Do you understand? Not my premise. This is a fact. Do you understand if the Jets don't win this year, if they don't go to the playoffs at minimum, everybody is getting fired?

Yes or no? Yes, I completely understand that. OK. And so where, where, where is, where is the discrepancy between what you and I both agree on and your only insistence on looking at talent? So the discrepancy I have is you would certainly suggest that they are taking a shot for a home run all day, every day. And if they hit the home run, if Aaron Rodgers is anything that we think, then why would you not say, let's go for it?

They have no option. I'm not disagreeing. Listen, I'm not disagreeing with that, Rod. Do you do you understand the definition of turmoil? You know what that means? I do. And I would share it. Share it. Yeah, no, no, I'm listening. I don't want to cut you off.

No, no, no. I asked you to share it. I asked you what is the definition of turmoil?

To share, to share it is there there have been unbelievable turmoil with the Chicago Bulls. Well, thank you. Thank you, Rod, for calling from, no, Rod, that was terrible. Oh, man. Hickey, I should have just asked him from the get go.

Yeah, that was not good. Rod, what do you do? You argue with me or yourself? I tried. Hickey, I tried. I tried. I tried. I am impressed with your patience. You have a lot more than I do. I tried.

You did try. He just told him that he said, I said, then, you know, what term he said, if the Jets. Yeah, I agree. I like the Jets.

I don't know if Rod knows that, but I like them. I don't blame them for swinging for the fences. They had to swing for the fences because they fail with Zach Wilson. And so if you want to know what turmoil is, since you want to use a grand slam analogy, it's going up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth of the World Series, knowing that, yeah, I got to swing for the fences. I'm either going to strike out or I'm going to hit a grand slam. And if I hit the grand slam, we win the World Series. If I strike out, we lose and I get fired.

My manager gets fired and my general manager gets fired. It's turmoil. It's uncertainty.

It's knowing that things can go one way or the other. That's it. And so you're talking about you swing for the fences. Yeah, they had to.

And if they swing and they miss, they're cooked. It's over. That's turmoil. It has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with the good talent that they drafted or the talented players.

We know the Jets have had talent, but if they don't win, everybody gets their ass fired. Turmoil. He told me turmoil was the Chicago Bulls.

Well, what, things were tricky. Oh, Scotty doesn't want to play. Man, they won six out of ten. What turmoil is at the end of the Patriots? I'm talking about this season right now.

Come on. Picky, is there a team that you look at and go, damn, they got to get it together or things could go one way or the other? Yeah, the Philadelphia Eagles. I mean, they started day one of their 2024 season today, both the quarterback and the coach trying to downplay issues between them. That's a hell of a way to get started for the season when people are not buying that the coach and the quarterback get along. That is turmoil in what is a big time year for the Eagles.

Oh my God. They started off so, but they started off hot last year, but it wasn't, they were barely getting by, man. And you wonder why, right? With all that talent. Yeah. Well, look at that, huh? How about that?

You can have a lot of talent and I don't know. And the turmoil. Rod didn't want to say, he said turmoil was the Bulls. I asked him what, what the definition was. He didn't want to cut me off at that point.

At that point, he didn't want to cut me off. Anyway, congratulations to the Jets. They going to go one way or the other. That's turmoil.

It's the JR sport reshow on the infinity sports network. Hickey brings up a good point. We're going to take a break. When we come back, let's hear from the Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback. Jalen hurts has some words for Nick Sirianni.

I think Nick Sirianni might have some words for Jalen hurts. Do they hate each other? Do they love each other?

Can they get along? We'll talk about it on the other side of the break. It's the JR sport brief show, the infinity sports network notes or more.
