And if you got a smart speaker, ask it to play the Infinity Sports Network. Thank you to our guests who joined us. Jason Mackie came by from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Talk to us about Paul Skeans and his experience down and not about to say Austin number to get in trouble. Arlington, Texas.

I know the difference. I've been many times. Arlington, Texas, the MLB All-Star game. Paul Skeans, a baseball God for now, at least 22 years old, six foot six throwing that ball.

One hundred plus miles per hour. Good for him. Thank you, Jason, for coming through to talk about it.

Thank you as well. Kennington Smith joined us from the athletic. He covers all things Alabama football and SEC. We came through and talked about SEC Media Day and obviously Alabama. Kalen DeBoer, his first media day as a member of the SEC. Nick Saban, first media day as not the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Jelen Milro.

No questions about who's starting quarterback this year for Alabama is going to be him. You've got some questions answered about their secondary now that guys like Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry are now in the NFL. So we've had a busy show. We've talked about Team USA basketball winning in a friendly against Serbia earlier today.

They didn't just win, they decimated them 105 to 79. That Steph Curry guy who does all the shooting and stuff. He had 24 points.

He had 18 points in 11 minutes to start the game. That's a bad man. And speaking of. Well, she's not a man. She's a woman. Kaitlyn Clark.

She's in action. The final game of the season before they hit their break for the Olympics. Taking on Dallas right now. Dallas Wings beating Indiana 27.

To 20. I'm sure about the time you get out of here, Kaitlyn Clark, the game will conclude. So if you're interested in a final game for the next month. Besides the All-Star game this weekend, I'll let you know what's going on. But it is Wednesday.

It is the middle of the week and it's something I always do in the middle of the week on Wednesdays. I give you a new top six list. And, you know, I just told you about some of the rookies. New rookies in the NFL. Guys who left Alabama. And then our pros. Terrion Arnold. Kool-Aid McKinstry.

One is a lion, one is a saint. There's some other guys who are going to be rookies. And this is the time of the year where the NFL rookies start showing up for training camp.

The veterans don't need this work, but the rookies do. And so what a guy like Caleb Williams, Roma Dunze signing the rookie contract, showing up to work. You know, we talked about the Chicago Bears and their expectations. I thought it would be a great time and a great opportunity to deliver to you a new top six list for tonight. And with tonight's top six list, I thought it'd be a good idea to share with you my list of the top six NFL rookies to watch in the year 2024. That would be this season. And you know what?

You don't got away too much longer. The top six list. It starts now. Six, five, four, three, two, one. It's time to get JR's latest top six list only on the JR Sport Brief.

It is the JR Sport Brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. NFL rookies are showing up for camp and so now it's my job to tell you about the top six NFL rookies that you should watch out for, that you should look out for, that I want to see this upcoming season. The top six list.

It's a countdown, which means we start at this number right here. Number six at number six, top six NFL rookies to watch in 2024. I got to go to a team that has done nothing but disappoint. I got to go to a team that can not get over the hump. I got to go to a team in western New York that can never, ever, ever, ever, ever get past the damn Kansas City Chiefs. I'm talking about the Buffalo Bills and no, they're not a rookie, but they drafted one and Keon Coleman.

Yes, I want to see Keon Coleman and what he can do this upcoming season for the Buffalo Bills, because the reality is there is no Stefan Diggs. You think about this Buffalo Bills team. They cannot get past the Chiefs every single season. Josh Allen MVP every single season.

Buffalo Bills 10 wins, 11 wins, 12, 11, win 10. And they can never beat the Kansas City Chiefs. And now that Diggs is gone. Keon Coleman is going to be asked to generate some offense and and do more than generate, you know, funny headlines and interesting quips.

I mean, you got to love the guy. They selected him number 33 because they traded with the Chiefs, which is hilarious in and of itself. And then they got him at wide receiver. And then he shows up at his press conference and people fall in love with him because it's just like, yeah, man, you're going from Florida State, even though he played up in Michigan as well. And now you're going to be in Buffalo.

He gave everybody shopping tips. Listen to this. You forgot about the school in Michigan for two years. Guess where I got this from, though? I'm saying you got to guess.

You're going to be wrong, though, but guess. No, Macy's. What do you mean? They be on sale on the on the rack. All the colors.

Look, seventy nine, eighty nine. Nice little deal. You get the trench coat for like a hundred dollars. Nice. Nice. I'll take you personally. I might go get some more colors.

I need a blue and another red. See, I ain't I ain't know nothing about Thanksgiving. I get you see, I shop like my mom.

I get my coats in the summertime. You got to shop to see a season or two before just in case, you know, any be cheaper because you go at Thanksgiving. Everybody in Thanksgiving, you know, I'm saying Kion Coleman knows the right time of the year to buy a coat. And that's all good and great because he's going to need one in Buffalo. The Buffalo Bills have been bargain shopping, bringing in guys like Chase Claypool, Marquez, Valdez, Scantling and obviously drafting Kion Coleman. This is what Josh Allen has to work with.

I want to see what Kion Coleman can do besides tell jokes and be funny. The GM, Brandon Bean, he says, yeah, we need Kion to show up this year. I think this guy's all ball and I think Josh knows that we're going to need him to get up to speed and we're going to be counting on him early in his role. Sometimes you're bringing in rookies and you're just saying, hey, you know, barring injury, you're probably not going to start, you know, help us on special teams or something else like that. In this case, you know, it's no secret we needed to add, you know, a guy like him to fill this X role that's vacant. Yeah, they need him. Josh Allen needs help.

He needs help from a wide receiver that's not going to throw a fit, but actually catch passes only. Kion Coleman, number six on my list, top six NFL rookies to watch in 2024. If I got Kion Coleman at six, what's the next number? Number five. You know, I told you that the Buffalo Bills traded out of the original spot, number 28 in the draft.

People had to scratch their heads and go, what? And there were a lot of people losing their minds because they traded it to the Chiefs who did what? They selected the fastest man ever in the draft. And number six on my list, number five on my list of top six NFL rookies to watch.

It's Xavier Worthy, the man out of Texas, the fastest man to ever run a 40 at the NFL combine. Oh, you need a reminder? Listen to this courtesy of the NFL Network. It goes. Oh, guys, we got it.

We got a record on official. Oh, yeah. It is now four to one. Oh, man. Xavier Worthy. There it is.

Oh, that's on the big board. A combined 40 yard. Wow.

For two. Congratulations to him. Unreal. You know why I want to see this man? Because am I am I expecting them to beat Tyree kill?

The answer is hell no. I don't expect anybody to beat Tyree kill. But the Kansas City Chiefs offense, it's it's missed that game breaker.

It's missed that world break. Travis Kelce is still getting good as he's older, still good as he gets older. But they haven't had that game breaker.

Is it going to be Xavier Worthy? The threat that this man could take the top off is certainly exciting, even to the greatest quarterback in the NFL right now. Patrick Mahomes said, no, no, no. There's no slowly easing this guy into the offense.

We got to go right now. We got a lot of competition on this offense. Brett Veach and coach did a great job bringing a lot of competition in Xavier. I mean, he got a lot of mental work in this.

These last few weeks that he had during OTAs and minicamp. But it's time to go now. And I mean, you all saw with Rasheed last year and some of the throwing up days he had.

I mean, we're going to we're going to push you to the limit and prepare yourself to be ready to go for the season. And that's not just him. That's everybody.

And everybody has to have that mentality when they come into camp. You heard him talk about Rasheed Rice, the man hauled in a thousand yards receiving. But that man may be he may be hauling ass to a courtroom. We have no idea what his status is because he drove like an idiot in the metroplex. I want to see what Xavier Worthy can do with the Kansas City Chiefs. This is not your rookie going to some terrible team. This is the fastest man in the NFL draft going to the Super Bowl champs. Is he going to make an immediate impact?

I'm looking forward to it. Top six NFL rookies to watch in 2024. Xavier Worthy is at five. What's next?

Number four. I got to go to New York. No, not the Bills. No, not the Giants. Oh, what am I saying?

Of course, it is the Giants because who cares about the Jets? And number four, I'm giving you Malik Nabors. Why is he a rookie to watch?

For several reasons. LSU has been pumping out wide receivers like nobody's business. Some of the best receivers in the NFL right now have come out of LSU over the past few years.

Justin Jefferson is making thirty five million dollars a year. Top wide receiver. Jamar Chase is one of the best wide receivers in the damn game.

If I got to go back even further a little bit. Sorry, Odell. Odell Beckham Jr. You think about his buddy Jarvis Landry. LSU has become wide receiver heaven. And that's that's not going to change with Malik Nabors. This man hauled in almost 1600 yards last year and 14 touchdowns.

The New York Giants elected him at number six in the draft. He's going to be dynamic. And one of the reasons I really want to see Malik Nabors. Is he going to help save the ass of Daniel Jones?

You see hard knocks. The Giants are sick of Daniel and his injuries. Daniel Jones can't stay healthy to save his life. There is no Saquon Barkley. What is Malik Nabors going to do? Is he going to help Daniel Jones elevate or is he just going to be catching passes from him and Drew Locke?

Because Daniel Jones can't stay healthy either way. Before he was drafted by the Giants at number six overall, Malik Nabors sat down with the Giants during the combine. And the New York Giants are being featured on HBO's Hard Knocks. We heard the conversation. Malik Nabors, his head coach, Brian Deball, he asked him, how the hell do you handle losing and not getting the ball?

And Malik was just like, I hate it. I hate it a lot. How do you handle losing? Be straight.

Not at all. I hate losing more than I love winning. OK. And then how do you handle not being involved early in the game?

How do I handle it? I handle it pretty tough, especially during the week. That's what I'm looking for. I've been in the offense in the week, putting in the work with the one offense, getting a lot of plays known to be called for me. So if I'm not in those plays and not getting the ball, I'm pretty hard on it.

I don't mind that. I want guys that want to get the ball. And I want guys that hate losing. But you've got to learn how to harness that a little bit. Right. You know, I don't mind a competitive juice, man.

You need some dogs. I want guys that want the ball. He wants to get that's an angry fellow. He is an angry fellow. Hickey, why is he always yelling at his team? One day he's going to punch one of them guys in the face.

I'm talking about Brian Deball. I know he does have a lot of a lot of anger. Could we use this term? I don't know.

I won't. Oh, I don't think it's offensive, but OK, could describe his anger and his stature. Well, his stature.

A little a Napoleon syndrome. Oh, is he? Well, he's not. He he lost weight now. I think he's fat, but more, you know, I don't. How tall is he on the shorter end compared to yelling at NFL players like, oh, he seems. I don't know how tall he is. I just know he lost weight. He's not as big as he used to be. Right.

It looks good. Looks slim and trim. He wouldn't qualify for the heart attack cafe anymore.

He used to be ineligible, ineligible. He's five, 10. Oh, you're not that short. That's that's in that average height. That's average height. Now you're yelling at, I guess, offensive lineman or big time quarterbacks.

Maybe you look smaller than reality would say. Yeah. Daniel Jones.

Well, I like six, four, six, five. And Josh out before that was pretty big, too. Yeah, he's hanging around giants all day.

Now he's going to look even smaller now that he's lost the weight. I don't think he'll be yelling at Malik neighbors. I think Malik neighbors will be yelling at him. Find me a damn quarterback.

Anyway, I want to see what he can do for the New York Giants. I got Malik neighbors at number four on my list. What's the next number?

Number three. Top six NFL rookies to watch in twenty twenty four. Let's go to a quarterback.

Let's go to Minnesota. I want to see J.J. McCarthy. Are we going to see J.J. McCarthy? How long is it going to take before we see J.J. McCarthy? The Sam Donald is at least starting for now. But they didn't pick this man number 10 overall after winning a championship in Michigan just to have him sit. Kirk Cousins is in Atlanta and J.J. McCarthy.

Let's be real. He wasn't tasked with throwing the ball all the damn time at Michigan. They ran the ball and ran the ball and ran the ball and ran the ball some more.

He was ridiculously efficient, but they're expecting him to do more. His old head coach Jim Harbaugh now with the Chargers back in March when J.J. McCarthy was working out. He basically said that his pro day was the best he's ever seen in his life.

Listen to Harbaugh boost them. The workout J.J. had. I've been a lot of pro day workouts and watch quarterbacks throw. That was the best I've ever seen a quarterback do in a pro day. Not only was his feet great and the individual drills, but then he started throwing. It was like every throw was right there. I thought our receivers did a great job too. That was the best throwing day I've ever seen.

Damn. Of course he's going to hype his guy up. That's his old coach. What does his new coach, a former quarterback in the NFL have to say? Kevin O'Connell says throughout the offseason, J.J. McCarthy has gotten better. His growth from day one to today was really evident. There's always going to be throws and decisions and different things that we can coach off of. And that's going to be part of his development process through a competitive camp and want to get him exposed to playing with different guys and different groups.

And we're going to have a really good plan to do that. I give Sam Darnold a month before J.J. McCarthy takes over. McCarthy, number three on my list, top six NFL rookies to watch. If I got him at three, what's the next number? Number two.

Number two. He was the number two pick in the draft. This man went on Heisman. This man can light it up with his legs.

He can light it up with his arm. He had the benefit of throwing passes to Malik neighbors and also Brian Thomas Jr. The number two rookie that I want to see the most this year that you need to watch is Jayden Daniels.

Oh, he's starting right out of the gate. Without a shadow of a doubt, you got a new head coach running the show in Dan Quinn. You still have Terry McLaurin. You bring in an Austin Eckler who's going east because, well, quite frankly, they were not going to throw the ball around a lot and pound it out in Los Angeles with the Chargers. You got Zach Ertz. You got Luke McCaffrey. They're trying to do something new in Washington in Jayden Daniels, the man who won the Heisman. What can you do without neighbors and without Thomas? Dan Quinn, the new head coach, talks about his new quarterback and he says, oh, he's done well so far.

He's gotten better. Upward swing. You can see how hard he worked to get the system down and in place. And so that was evident through the camp. And so I'm excited for everybody else to see that, you know, to see the work ethic that goes into something like this, because once you see the quarterback play in the position and the plays, see that kind of detail that he put in in a short amount of time, I think it'll be pretty obvious for the guys watching. The New York Giants were trying to find a way to get their hands on Jayden Daniels. I know Brandon Iyuk is trying to find his way to his former Arizona Sun Devil teammate. He's trying to find his way to Jayden Daniels. It doesn't seem likely. 49ers don't appear to be trading that man. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on the Infinity Sports Network.

When we come back. I'm going to tell you who I have at number one. I just gave you five rookies that you need to watch in 2024. This is a top six list.

The number one guy on the other side of the break is the JR Sport Reshow here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Hi, I'm Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angie. I'm sharing with you a top six list. NFL rookies are reporting to training camp. They got to show up ahead of time because they're rookies, they don't know what the hell they're doing. Got to show them where their locker is. Tell them how to put a helmet on.

I don't know, I'm just being a jerk. But the fact is, they need a little bit more experience. They need repetition. They need a little bit more reps. And so today with tonight's top six list, I'm sharing with you a list of the top six NFL rookies to watch in 2024. In a few seconds, I'm going to share with you who I have at number one on the list.

Let's give you a quick recap if you missed things in the last break. At number six, I gave you Keon Coleman. This man is a wide receiver on a Buffalo Bills team that has lost Stefan Diggs. Keon Coleman is absolutely hilarious, but it will not be a laughing matter if he does not produce on the football field with Josh Allen.

We're going to find out sooner than later. At number five, I give you Xavier Worthy. This man was traded or his pick was traded from the Buffalo Bills to the Chiefs shocked everybody. Is Xavier Worthy going to bring the speed element back to the Kansas City Chiefs in the offense, something that they've lacked since Tyreek Hill left? This man ran the draft. Well, excuse me, he ran the 40 yard dash at the draft faster than anyone ever before.

A four to one. And number four, top six NFL rookies to watch in 2024. Malik neighbors. Is he really going to help Daniel Jones out? Daniel Jones has no more Saquon. He has Devon Singletary. But now he has someone who might end up being one of the most dynamic receivers in the NFL. The NFL has hit a wide receiver boom right now, and Malik neighbors might be one of the next big receivers out of LSU. And number three, I gave you J.J. McCarthy.

Why do I want to see him? There's a lot said about what he did and what he did not do at Michigan. He did become a champion. He was one of the most efficient quarterbacks in college football. What he didn't do was throw the rock around. Like a lot of these other guys, because he didn't need to. You know, what is that going to look like for him at the next level of the NFL? He's going to be tasked with throwing the rock around, specifically getting the ball to Justin Jefferson. Whenever they decide to tell Sam Donald, hey, Sam, it's curtains for you.

Take a seat. And number two on my list. This man did a lot of throwing 40 touchdowns. This man did a lot of running.

Eleven hundred yards. This man was your Heisman winner last year. His name is Jayden Daniels. He's going to be throwing passes now. For the Washington commanders and Dan Quinn. Dan Quinn gets a new chance at being a head coach. Jayden Daniels gets his first chance to start in the NFL.

He don't got to wait and sit behind anybody. Marcus Mariota is there just in case he goes down or he really sucks. But what is the number two overall pick going to do for Washington? So if I got Jayden Daniels and number two overall. If I need to think. About the number one rookie to watch in 2024. Who the hell is it?

I need to hear the fancy music or the fancy voice man before I tell you. Number one. The top NFL rookie to watch in 2024. Is no one other than Caleb Williams. And is that really a surprise?

Is that really a shock? This is the guy who won the Heisman the year before Jayden Daniels. This is the man who in the year he won the Heisman.

He would lighten it up. Forty five hundred yards, 42 touchdowns, five interceptions. Last year, we saw a different side.

There was no bowl game. There was crying over his tenure at USC. Not only did we see crying, we saw a nail polish.

We saw an eccentric individual. We saw him with F you on his fingernails. Are you going to do that with the Chicago Bears? Can you stand the pressure of being the Chicago Bears quarterback? Can you stand the pressure on a team that has been looking for a quarterback for the past for ever? Chicago Bears are still looking for a quarterback to go out there and throw 40 plus touchdowns. Can you do it? Caleb Williams.

Are we going to see you end up crying to mommy? You got Keenan Allen. You got Roman Dunes a coming out of Washington. You got DeAndre Swift.

You got Cole Kamek. Come on, man. You got to do something.

You don't have to make the playoffs. Can you be average? You're number one overall.

And people are thinking about your makeup, your mental makeup. You're going to go out there and pitch a fit. You're going to go out there and be one of the best quarterbacks in the game. Come on. People have been comparing this guy. When I do that, hell no. People have evoked the name of Patrick Mahomes when it comes to his raw ability. That's a lot to put on a rookie's shoulders.

Caleb Williams has talked about this. Why don't you feel pressure? I go out there. I handle my job.

I'd be a great teammate first and foremost. I handle business on and off the field. And then I go to work. I enjoy what I do.

I love what I do. I'm in there with my guys and my guys are seeing me. They see how hard I work. They're a guy.

They're QB. And we go get it. We go win games together. That's the biggest thing is winning games together because I can't win a game by myself. Keenan Allen can't win a game by himself. And so making sure that we're all together. Offense, defense, special teams. And we go get it. Yeah, I go to work.

Great song by Kool Mo Di, by the way. I want to see Caleb Williams go to work. I want to see what he can do for the Bears.

I want to see if his performance can allow Eberflus to stick around for a season or two. We'll see what happens. What will the Chicago Bears do? Caleb Williams can be quite eccentric.

Go Bears. And it'll be interesting to see what he does. He's the number one rookie that I want to see this entire season. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. I just gave you a top six list of NFL rookies that I really want to see in 2024. There are more rookies I want to see outside of the six, but I only had to put it in six. Number six, Keyon Coleman. Number five, Xavier Worthy. Number four, Malik Nabors. Number three, J.J. McCarthy. Number two, Jayden Daniels. Number one, Caleb Williams. What rookies do you want to see? What rookie has got your attention this upcoming season? I'm going to ask Kiki and get his thoughts as well. 855-212-4227. You know, we'll hear from Kalen DeBoer.

Speaking of pressure, we'll get into his comments from earlier today at SEC Media Day. I just gave you a new top six list. The NFL rookies are showing up to work. They're showing up to camp. They're getting ready for the 2024 NFL season. I just gave you a top six list of the NFL rookies that I really want to watch in 2024. Now, are there more than six rookies?

I'm going to be watching every damn body. But I think these six, the six that I gave you have some of the more intriguing stories. For instance, I didn't have. Well, first of all, if you missed the top six list, if you missed the full explanations, you missed the reasons, you missed the audio clips from the players, their coaches, their teammates, etc.

Hit rewind on the free Odyssey app. At number six, I gave you Keon Coleman. At number five, I gave you Xavier Worthy. At number four, I gave you Malik Nabors. At number three, I gave you JJ McCarthy. And number two, I gave you Jayden Daniels. And at number one, I gave you Caleb Williams. Come on, I had Michael Penix Jr. here on the list.

I'm here in Georgia. I had to say to myself, are we going to see him? Falcons fans would hope not, some of them. Kirk Cousins would hope not. I think the Atlanta Falcons organization would hope not. So I didn't put Penix on the list. And I could think of a few other guys that have played near or close by here in Georgia that I'd love to see. But they didn't make the list.

There's plenty of players I'm interested in. The Eagles got a set of defensive backs. I'll stop.

The phone lines are open. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven.

What rookie are you most interested in seeing, watching, paying attention to, attention to this upcoming season? Eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. John is calling from New York. Hey, John, how are you, man? You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. Hey, JR. Thanks for having me on, man. Well, thank you for joining.

What's up? Oh, my guy for exciting rookie. I think it's going to be Lad McConkie for the Chargers. I think he's going to I think he's going to shine because they lost their two number one receivers. You know, with Williams and, you know, the other guy. But anyways, I just think he's sure handed and he has the best separation of all the receivers drafting. And I think Herbert's going to love this guy. I think he's going to have a killer rookie year with Harbaugh. I think it's going to be a win.

OK, well, thank you, John, for calling from from New York. He was referring to both Keenan Allen was the other guy. And in the case of Mike Williams, if you flip the coin and Mike Williams was healthy enough to go out there and play. And so, yes, in the case of the Los Angeles Chargers, they're expecting Quentin Johnston to take a big step. I mean, we haven't seen the same type of guy that we saw at TCU. We saw a dude who was out there dropping passes for the Los Angeles Chargers. And people have been raving about Lad McConkie out with the Chargers. They're talking about his footwork, his talent. And yet when it comes to the passing game, he's going to get a lot of attention. They aren't high expectations for the Los Angeles Chargers, as everybody expects them to play from the inside out, not have Justin Herbert throwing the rock around all the time. But they might be forced to. They got Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins as their running backs.

You trust in those guys to stay healthy? It's like they called up the Ravens and just said, hey, just what you got on the scrap heap? They just picked them up. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. What rookie do you want to see? Allen, of course he is. Allen is calling from Toronto. Allen, take a deep breath, please.

Go slow. You're talking to me. You're on the JR Sportbreeze show, Allen.

It's a crap show, JR. It's a roll of the dice. Your guess is as good as mine.

My guess is as good as yours. And we shall see what we shall see. Wait, what are we? Hold on. Well, hold on. Hold slow. What are we guessing about?

Guess is as good as mine? What are you talking about? The advanced billing. We're guessing the advanced billing. Your top six has a top advanced billing. But where's the guess work? It's a top six list of rookies to watch. Where's the guess work?

Nobody knows what the future has in store, so that's what I mean. It's a crap show. Hold on a second. Hold on. Hickey, can I bang my head into the board? I may have a concussion, but should I try or don't do it? Don't do it.

We need you for the last hour change here. Can I bang my head into the board after? Yeah. After.

10-0-1. Bang away. All right. I don't know.

Hickey, if I'm saying something wrong, just say, J.R., chill out, shut up, relax. It's a top six list of rookies to watch. The reason we want to watch them is to see what they do. I don't know what they're going to do. I can presume. I can guess. We don't know.

That's why we want to watch them. Having said that and not having because if I bang my head, this is this is this is marble. This is stronger than marble.

If I bang my head in this, it's curtains for me. Alan is back from Toronto. I think Alan now has a better understanding of what the list is. Rookies to watch. People we want to see. That's it. Alan is calling from Toronto.

Alan, who do you want to watch? OK, now I understand. OK, now I understand. OK, please.

Thank you. Marvin Harris Jr., fourth overall pick for Arizona. His father was 19th overall pick in Indianapolis back in 1996, so he's way ahead of his dad as far as picks are concerned. And he was the fourth Ohio State receiver in the first round in the last three years. And he was a unanimous All-American in 2022, 2023. And he's only one of 11 players in conference history to be that way. And in 2023, he was the offensive player of the year and the Rose Bowl. You see what he did in the Rose Bowl? Six catches for 71 yards.

And it was a 48-45 victory over Utah. So he's off to a flying start. And I'm very anxious to see what he's going to do in the NFL, whether he can become an all-time great like his father was.

But I do have a case in this matter, Your Honor. He's definitely, he's fourth overall pick, and we shall see what we shall see. Yeah, we shall.

That's why he's a rookie to watch. Thank you, Alan, for calling from Toronto. Appreciate you. Always a pleasure, JR. Thank you very much for taking my call. Absolutely, Alan. Thank you for calling from Toronto.

I made it. 855-212-4227. That's 855-212-4227. You talk about a rookie to watch, a rookie to see. Who the hell do you want to see? Steven is calling from Tennessee. You're on the JR support. Be sure. Go ahead, Steven.

Hey, JR. Well, this is great, man. This is right on. I was thinking about Brock Bowers. I had heard whenever he had first got picked there that people were saying they didn't think that he would get much action because they didn't really see a fit right away for him. But then I was thinking, well, what about if Adams goes away, then does that automatically throw a load onto Brock Bowers to pick up whatever Adams would have been taking? Because Adams would probably be the reason that they wouldn't really have a fit for Brock Bowers right away.

So I was just curious about what you think. The Raiders are going to Raider. I was kind of surprised and shocked like everybody when they selected Brock Bowers, when they already have Michael Mayer.

It's a Raider thing to do. Of course, if Devante Adams moves on, that's going to mean more chances and opportunities for both Bowers and Mayer. But we've heard this from Devante. We actually heard this from Devante Adams' agent.

And he didn't use these words, but he basically said ignore everything that you've ever heard. Devante Adams is not going to be traded. He doesn't want to be traded. And I guess he's going to go through this season and play for the Raiders. By the way, I've said this over the past several days.

Hickey has also said this over the past several days. For everybody that has put out a word in the media or the players about Devante Adams going to the Jets, nobody can tell us how. It just doesn't fit. Look, I'm not a capologist, but it doesn't fit financially. It doesn't fit with his contract status.

And I don't know what the New York Jets would give up to bring him in. So it just as always sounds like a load of crap. Yeah, but you know that some of these teams can make magic happen.

So what makes me curious about it is that right at the end of what you played, whatever that Devante had said, I mean, he sounded pretty excited about the that it's now a rumor that that that he thinks maybe that this rumor could take off. And I mean, you've seen people make magic before. I mean, they've got Aaron Rodgers. I mean, he's got some magic still.

Stephen, Stephen, I make magic every single day. OK, for four hours right here on the Infinity Sports Network. So anyway, I appreciate you for calling from Tennessee.

Let's see what the rate is. And this is great. They are. I appreciate it, man. This is this made my day. Appreciate it.

No doubt. Stephen, appreciate you for calling from Tennessee. Call any time. Listen.

I expect the rate is to be average. So bad. Because that's what the Raiders do.

Like, what? What the hell are you getting? I get it. Brock Bowers. I saw him here in Georgia. Brock Bowers moves and runs like a wide receiver. You got Michael Mayer. What are we doing? You know what they should do next year in the draft? Get another tight end. You know what they should do in the draft after that? Get another tight end. And then they should get somebody who can't obey rules and just probably get arrested. That's the Raider way. The Raiders can't get out of their way.

That's the right way. The J.R. sport re-show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. 855-212-4227. That's 855-212-4227.

The phone lines are still open. What NFL rookie do you want to see the most? I got Caleb Williams, number one on my list. Is he going to cry or is he going to throw touchdowns? Or is it going to be a combination of both?

Maybe his tears will freeze in Chicago. We'll see. I'll get some more of your calls. We'll talk Caleb DeBoer and more.
