The Dallas Mavericks are heading into the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, with Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic leading the charge. Meanwhile, the WNBA is gaining attention, particularly with Kaitlyn Clark and Angel Reese at the center of controversy. The NBA is also considering new contracts, which could impact the future of the league.

Anyway, this is when I get started every single weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. How can you listen on the free Audacy app?

And if you got yourself a smart speaker, all you have to do is ask that speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network and things will come right on up. Not things, the show will come right on up. It's real easy. Anyway, we got a lot to do here over the next four hours.

Of course, it is Wednesday. I got a new top six list coming your way in two hours. We're going to talk about trash talkers. And why are we talking about trash talkers? Because we got a lot of them in sports right now.

I'm going to give you more of a historical list, but everybody got something to say, don't they? Right? Gino Ariemma chiming in on Kaitlyn Clark.

Angel Reese got tossed from a game last night. Oh yeah, by the way, the NBA Finals actually start tomorrow. We got the Mavericks and the Celtics. You don't have to wait too much longer. We got Brian DeMaris, who's a Mavs analyst, is going to come through and join us.

How about this? In about 20 minutes. And later on in the show, Adam Kaufman is going to talk to us as well.

Adam can talk to us about everything. Celtics. And so lost in all of the NBA Finals. I guess the wait was so damn long. Kaitlyn Clark, the WNBA, and Angel Reese just kind of took over.

Yeah, we're about a little less, excuse me, a little more than 24 hours away from tip-off tomorrow up in Boston. So we'll talk about the Kyrie's and the Porzingis'. Hickey, is that right? Is it Porzingi or is this this?

Which one is it? Porzingi? I like Guy. Porzingi. Porzingi, yeah. We'll talk about that Porzingi and whether or not he's going to be ready to go. And Tatum and Brown, of course. We got NFL players who are still showing up to work.

People can't believe how skinny Tuatanga Veloa is. You got Deebo Samuel. He's like, yeah, they tried to trade me, but I'm still here.

What the hell do you want from me? Ryan Kelly, center for the Indianapolis Colts. He's also the union lead for the NFLPA.

He's like, listen, man, I ain't trying to play no 18 games. We're going to have to take a look at that. So there's there's a lot of things for us to discuss here over the next four hours. If you want to participate in the show, it's real simple. The phone number is 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. If you're on the Internet, this polluted place, you can find me at JR Sport Brief. Go ahead. Knock yourselves out.

If you can do it safely, if you're at work and you want to waste time listening to the radio and then skimming through the Internet, go ahead. Find me. Vicki, how are you doing, man? You good? I am good.

I am good. Excited for the finals to start. We are almost there, but at least we're at least we're close. We're within 24 hours for the most part. It's been what? I mean, for the Celtics, it's been about nine to 10 days. For the Mavericks, it's been, what, almost a week?

Eight days? It's been crazy. Yeah, they've had a very long layoff. And the good news is, at least for the most part, not talking about injuries, which is good, too. So both teams with the break now get Philly healthy. It's nice, right? It's kind of crazy. Even Christos Porzingis, he finally affirmed after yesterday telling everybody, oh, yeah, am I in pain?

He didn't give a clear answer. At least he told everybody today he's going to play. And so, yeah, I'm eagerly anticipating the start of the NBA finals. It's been way, way, way too long.

And you know what? I can't blame the NBA. I mean, if their approach is we want to have the best out there, we want to give both teams a chance as equal of an opportunity as possible to go out there and get some rest. I appreciate that. I really do. And so hopefully the Dallas Mavericks and the Celtics give us a finals for the ages.

I can go out there and I can hope for it. But in lieu of us actually watching NBA basketball, we've all had to wait. And by the way, Stanley Cup is on on Saturday, but we've had to wait for basketball. Forever. And when has this ever taken place? When has the WNBA ever jumped in the way, attention wise, in front of the basketball? Well, at the basketball championship, the fight for the Larry O'Brien Trophy, the answer is never.

It's never taken place. And here we have a WNBA season where, I mean, people are talking about the league, but it all revolves around Kaitlyn Clark and whether or not she's being abused. And Anja Reese, who kind of told us a couple of days ago she wants people to recognize that she's one of the reasons that people are paying attention. The storylines are crazy. They don't bother me.

I mean, they got a lot of people up in arms right now. Is it a black issue? Is it a white issue? And why does she get attention and she doesn't get attention? And it's just like, OK, let's just get all of this out the way so we can actually watch the basketball. All right, let's get all of that out the way.

This is all new. This is nascent for the WNBA. This much attention and even negative attention. I mean, if you want to be a successful league, this is what you got to deal with.

You got to deal with the ups and you got to deal with the downs. And I hope that with all of this attention, it can ultimately lead towards a revenue generation, which it has. I hope it continues on an upward trajectory. And speaking of revenue generation, NBA looks like it's going to continue to rake in money with its television deals. We'll get into that. And the WNBA is also going to be a beneficiary of it. So we'll talk about that.

Last night, yesterday, we were able to go a whole show. Without mentioning Kaitlyn Clark, maybe Angel Reese got to mention quickly. But Angel Reese was in the news today. OK, because Angel Reese was in the news last night. Angel Reese got booted from a game against the Liberty. Ultimately, her team, the Chicago Sky, lost 88 to 75. Angel Reese probably had the best game of her career.

I think 13 points, 10 rebounds, one assist. She had her first career block. OK, contrary to what you might think, because she's tall and she rebounds, she ain't no shot blocker.

She did this in 24 minutes until she got the boot. Listen to this play by play. This is from Jimmy Miller and Jason Ross Jr. on WCIU TV. Listen to this. But Jones with the offensive rebound and another reach in foul on the Chicago Sky.

We got a technical foul to call in a double tack. Lady Hamilton's out of here. The girls, Angel Reese. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're right. Kicked Angel out of the game.

Angel Reese ejected. That is that is my bad. So let's take another look. Yeah, that's that's where I saw what lady was.

Yeah. And then Reese was saying something as her back was turned. She got a double a double tack and then she got the boot. They ejected her from the game. I don't know what magic words she used, but immediately after utilizing the magic words, she kind of waved off the official and the official said, I take a hike then.

It's really that simple. Lonzo Ball, the Chicago ball that you haven't seen play basketball in about two years because his knees don't work. Ricky, did you hear he got like a. He got like a cartilage transplant, like somebody donated a meniscus to his knee. Did you hear about that? I did, and I did not realize up until then that that was possible. Would you give your meniscus to somebody?

It depends who and the situation. OK. You know, if Mets player or Colts player, you know, needs a meniscus to get back to the finals of the Super Bowl. He absolutely would consider it. Oh, man. Wow. OK. That's that's some hardcore fandom, man.

They need to write you a check. What if Aaron Rodgers needed a meniscus to play in the Super Bowl? Are you giving him yours?

No, no, no. He's not going to. He's probably going to want to go for some type of medicinal remedy anyway. True. Think thinks if he drinks or ingest something, it will grow him a new meniscus. I don't know. I know he's not going to take a needle for it so we can we can go ahead and throw that one out the window.

But no, no. And so Lonzo Ball with nothing better to do, I guess, besides train. And he's training with Ben Simmons.

How about that? Two guys who don't play basketball. Lonzo Ball must have been at the game because he actually tweeted out last night, hey, angel Reese.

And he I guess he wanted the world to know, hey, that referee was bogus. I'm paraphrasing. I'm going to cover the fine.

Don't worry about it. The fine was four hundred bucks. Come on now. Like, come on. Lonzo Ball off the top of my head is probably making what, twenty five to thirty million dollars to rehab for the past two years.

Is it nature? He's got money. She ain't broke. Four hundred dollars.

What type of support and flex is that? And she said, thank you. And then we learned today that the WNBA, like a lot of leagues, they looked at the film and they decided that this wasn't this wasn't extreme enough.

They rescinded a technical. And so I can't wait to see Lonzo Ball cash app angel Reese. Two hundred bucks. I don't know.

Lonzo Ball probably spends that for lunch. What a world that we live in. Angel Reese again last night. You know, didn't talk to the media. What else is new? Well, she talks to the media. She pretty much wants to complain.

And speaking of complaining, how about this? J.J. Redick decided to take some time to complain today. You know, last night we shared with you word that Shom Sharanya pretty much said that J.J. Redick is the one sole target now for the Los Angeles Lakers. And J.J. Redick was on with the Golick family this morning on their show. And they asked him about this and the Lakers job, because he's supposed to be just being a broadcaster for the finals tomorrow on ABC.

And J.J. Redick had some, I guess, a veiled threat to the man. Listen to this. I would say this. My focus right now is on calling the NBA finals. I am so fortunate that I'm in this position. I get to call these finals with Doris and Mike.

And I mentioned the State Farm thing that I just did on YouTube. My day to day right now is consumed with calling games, the 19 different podcasts I feel like I have, my obligations to all of our partners. So my focus is on the NBA finals. I will say that. In terms of Shoms, that will be addressed once the season is over.

So I'll just say that. Damn. Hickey, what is that, a threat? The future coach of the Los Angeles Lakers is going to threaten a member of the media? What is he going to do?

Off to a good start. I mean, I feel like that's how a lot of these press conferences now are going to go any time he's, I guess, criticized or anything's out there that he doesn't approve of slash like. So when J.J. Redick is the head coach of the Lakers, he's just going to that's going to be one hell of an adjustment. It's one thing to go from being critical of everybody, which he's done over the past several years as a member of the media, to having every single thing that he does criticized by the fans, the media and the players.

And so, I mean, if you can't stand Shoms, maybe you need to get this one out your system, but get over it. I don't know how well this is going to work with the Lakers. Maybe they go to the finals and win it all. But given the Lakers track record, I think J.J. Redick would be like their eighth head coach over the past decade.

Some wild stuff and speak. There's just so much basketball news. Angel Reese, J.J. Redick, Geno Auriemma saying Kaitlyn Clark has been targeted. And how about this?

Another great coach, another great player. Nancy Lieberman. Oh, my God. She was chatting it up as well. She was on FanDuel TV. And I think she gave and made the most pointed remarks to probably put all this Kaitlyn Clark stuff to bed.

Take a listen to Nancy Lieberman and what advice that she would give to her and her teammates. If I were Kaitlyn Clark, I would have punched her in the face. And I would have told her to fuck off.

And that would actually cure the problem because I've known Kennedy since she was in high school here in Dallas. She's a tough kid. She's a really good basketball player.

She's going to come after you because she's very physical, which is OK. But where's where's Kaitlyn Clark's teammates? I'd be pissed at my teammates.

Nobody came to my defense. You know, Gretzky had had an enforcer. Michael Jordan had Oakley.

I mean, that's honestly it's a bull. Man, Hickey, I know Nancy Lieberman was coaching in the big three. I don't know if she still is. Why don't why don't the Indiana Fever hire her to coach the squad?

I mean, that is you talk about inspirational fired up. If she's the head coach of the Fever, there is nobody messing with Kaitlyn Clark after that. I promise you, Nancy Lieberman makes me want to punch somebody in the face.

She does. She makes me want to just walk down the studio hallway here and find somebody. I don't want to punch a famed DJ Greg Street in the face. I love Greg Street. I'd never punch him, but he's the closest person. I just might punch Greg Street.

My apologies, Greg. Anyway, it's the J.R. Sportbrie show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. The NBA finals are tomorrow.

Game one. At least we'll get a break from J.J. Redick and Angel Reese and Kaitlyn Clark. And we can focus in on who hoists the Larry O'Brien trophy.

A little more than 24 hours. I can't wait. It's the J.R. Sportbrie show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We're just getting started. A matter of fact, to get us launched on the other side of the break, we're going to have a conversation with Brian Damaris, who covers the Mavs and doesn't just cover the Mavs as an analyst for them all season long. So we'll talk about some Mavs basketball on the other side. It's the J.R. Sportbrie show.

We've got folks tuned in coast to coast. We're a little more than 24 hours away from the start of the NBA Finals up in Boston, Massachusetts. We've got the Dallas Mavericks representing the Western Conference. Quite a difference from last year when Kyrie Irving joins the team. They fall out of contention. A year later, here they are in the Finals. A lot of storylines.

A lot of things to cover. No better person to talk to joining us from Boston via Dallas. Brian DeMaris, who is an analyst for them on Valley Sports Net, as well as the Mavs Radio Network, amongst many other things. Brian, thank you for taking the time to join us. Great to be with you. Excited for the Finals to start tomorrow. I know. It's been a long time. How have the Dallas Mavericks pretty much taken the time in regards to preparation over the past week and change? Well, the first thing they did was get some rest. They took a couple of days off right after that Western Conference Finals. They had a team dinner Saturday night.

And then got back at it Sunday. And have been practicing. Had a practice this morning before their media day. Really honing in on what they want to do on both sides of the ball in terms of strategy and the different looks that Boston's going to give them. And they're a loose team. They have been loose their entire season since the trade, really. That's kind of the personality of Luca and Kyrie.

And so they're having fun and they're excited for the moment. Brian, when you talk about the time that they've had off, we saw Lively go down with a neck injury. Are there any injury concerns on the roster? We know Luca was dealing with the multiple injuries with the legs. We know he's going to play.

But is there anything that we need to look out for? You know, listen, his knee is going to be something that he's going to have to take a look at in the offseason. But I will tell you that a week of rest is going to do wonders for him.

So I'm not really concerned. Looks like Lively is ready to go. Maxi Kleba with that shoulder injury is the only other person that really came in dinged up.

And this extra rest is going to get him ready to go as well. So the good news with Porzingis back on the Boston side is, you know, whatever level he's at that hopefully injuries won't play a role here. Mavs analyst Brian DeMaris is here with us, the JR Sport Reshow on the Infinity Sports Network. When you see this matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Celtics, where are you really keying in on? Well, there's issues on both sides of the ball when I'm looking at it from a Mavericks perspective. When Boston has the ball on offense, they like to spread the floor, play that five out, drag the center away from the rim. And Mavs love to defensively protect the rim, especially with Gafford and Lively.

They kind of built a wall, didn't allow Anthony Edwards to get where he wanted to go. So Porzingis and that pick and pop game is going to want to take those centers out. And then, you know, they're going to try to attack the paint and spray the ball around and swing, swing and get those threes up. So the Mavericks are going to have to protect the paint and deny the three-point line at the same time.

That's why Boston has the number one offense. And then on the other side of the court, you know, defensively, what is Boston going to do? Are they going to put Porzingis on the big men and allow Dallas to play the pick and roll game and those lob threats of Lively and Gafford? You know, are they going to switch things and let Porzingis be on an island out in space with Luca or Kyrie? Or are they going to put Porzingis on, say, a Derrick Jones and try to make Mavs run their offense in a different way?

Well, Brian, you talk about Chris Staps. We know he's coming off of his own calf injury. There's been so much made about Kyrie going back to Boston. And we've got a little bit about Porzingis eventually going down to play in Dallas. What didn't work between Chris Staps and Luca when Chris Staps was there originally?

I think they were both really early in their careers. I think Porzingis has talked about kind of the maturity that both of them have now, looking back on it. To be honest with you, the perfect partner for Luca was always going to be a wing player. He likes to play 1-5 pick and roll and that 5 doesn't have to be a superstar.

It needs to be what Derrick Lively is, which is an athletic rim running center who can also protect the paint inside. And when Porzingis wanted to do more than pick and pop but post up, at that time in his career he wasn't as an effective post up player. So basically what he was doing was clogging that lane for where Luca wanted to go.

And so that was the problem. Now he's improved that post up game that's really effective and he's shooting even better from deep. So he's just a different player than he was then.

Mavs analyst Brian Damaris is here with us. You talk about the maturity level of both players. You see and have seen Luca from day one. How has he matured and changed as a player from when he was drafted up until what he is now playing alongside Kyrie? How has his game changed? Really it's the leadership that he's shown. He came into the league at such a young age and his skill level was always there.

His ability to read defenses, see where the weak spots are, pick his spots. But when you're the best player on your team and you're one of the best players in the league, people are going to look to you to lead the team. And whether you do that verbally or by your actions on the court, I think he gives Kyrie a lot of credit for maturing him as a leader. And then you see what he's able to do on the court. You saw it in that game five of Minnesota where he wasn't happy with the way he played in game four in that loss.

And when he says it's on me, I need to bring more energy and effort. You just know one of those special Luca games is coming and he wanted to set the tone as he said it. And by scoring 10 points in the first two minutes and 33 seconds, he did.

So that's another level where he can just now take it to another gear and no matter what the defense throws at it, he's going to have an answer for it. Brian, you talk about leadership. We know Jason Kidd as the head coach. He was on that last Mavericks team that won in 2011. He's one of the greatest basketball players, one of the greatest point guards ever. What is his leadership style? You don't hear as much about Jason like in his time in Brooklyn and Milwaukee. He's kind of under the radar.

What is his style like? I think there's three things. Number one is he has the relationship with Kyrie and Luca. You have to have a relationship with your superstars. You look around the league why these coaches are getting let go. A lot of times that you just need to establish that the stars have to respect you and what you've done.

And you have to have the respect for them and be able to connect with them. He has that relationship. Two, he's calm and steady.

He hasn't had a technical foul all season. He wants to set the example of we can get through this. We know if we play our game, we not just can, but we'll win. And thirdly, X's and O's, he just knows the game so well from playing the game at such a high level. It's high basketball IQ is off the charts. And as a point guard, he gives Kyrie and Luca the keys of here's how I would do it. Here's what I see and let me help you navigate this.

Brian Damaris is here with us on the JR Sport Brief Show. You see the Mavs. You cover them. The Mavs win this series if they do what? If they can hit their threes and try to keep Boston from hitting as many threes as they can. When Boston has made 19 threes this year, they're 27 and 0. They take more threes than anybody. They make more threes than anybody. They hit them at a higher percentage than anybody else. So they've got to be able to rotate out and get to those shooters while also protecting the paint. They've got to get out and pace. The Celtics were number one in transition defenses here in the regular season. They were eighth out of all 20 teams that made the playoffs or playing so far in the playoffs. They've been as effective.

So get out and get some easy buckets against a team that has such a stout defense. Mavs analyst Brian Damaris is here with us as we start to wrap things up. This has been an interesting year not just because we're the Dallas Mavericks have ended up in the NBA Finals. There's been a transition in ownership. Has any of that been visible in any aspect of the organization? Is there a new painting on the wall?

Is it just a matter of signing some signatures? I mean, we saw the trophy presentation. Besides that, has anything appeared different? I think they're probably looking at their head on the business side, but I don't really know much about that in terms of basketball. You know, Niko Harrison just got his extension. You saw Jason get his extension.

It's all things go on that end. I think as the summer hits, you'll see more resources probably available to them to do what they want to do in terms of facilities and things of that nature. But Patrick DeMott has been nothing but helpful. He's been at every single playoff game, home and road, bringing his family along. And Mark's still around too. He'll be there tomorrow night.

It's pretty amazing to see what the Dallas Mavericks have done this season. Brian, I appreciate the time. Where can people follow you and all of your work? Yeah, Matt B. Damaris on Twitter and all the socials. And I will be on the radio call tomorrow.

I'm sure Sirius XM will have it on there. And you have a podcast, Take That With You, which is on the Mavericks YouTube page. Brian, enjoy the game. Enjoy the finals.

It should be a fun watch. Thank you for the time. I know you're real busy.

Appreciate you. No doubt about it. That Brian Damaris, Mavs analyst for Valley Sports Net as well as the Mavs Radio Network.

I just want to see them shoot away. They being a Dallas Maverick is it. I mean, Kyrie is ridiculously dynamic. We heard LeBron James pretty much waxed poetic about the fact that he's no longer playing with Kyrie Irving. And we know Luka Doncic is a straight killer. There's there's no other way to describe it.

You know, he's in the category and it seems like it's even more kind of few and far in between right now. He has the the attitude of a of a of a Jordan, of a Kobe, of a bird, of a magic. He has that that I'm going to get you of an Allen Iverson. He's he's vicious. He has the Russell Westbrook. He's nasty.

That's it. I mean, we got a lot of stars and have had had a lot of stars and a lot of players that want to just go out there and get it. Luka is ruthless.

Sign me up for it. You know, Jason Tatum is one of the one of the best basketball players I've ever seen with my own two eyes. I feel like I see him every year when he's down here in Atlanta. Ridiculously talented. We got plenty of talented guys, but there are some dudes that just take it to another level. Now, I'm not telling you that because Luka is an animal and he's looked lethal out there, that it's going to guarantee a series victory.

Quite frankly, it's the opposite. I think the depth of the Boston Celtics will ultimately, you know, win them the series. That's why they're favored. But Luka is different. It's one thing to be a silent assassin. Tim Duncan wasn't out there, you know, yelling and screaming. But the dude was just cold. He was cold.

Akeem Olajuwon could be nasty, OK? A man would not afraid to punch you in the face or throw an elbow, but he was pretty composed. There's different ways to go out there and get the job done. But for me, I want to see a little bit of viciousness, right? I like both. I need the guy that's out there yelling and screaming and I need the guy that's just going to rip your throat out and not say anything. Hickey, you got a preference like any type of players you gravitate to.

Do they have to be overly demonstrative or you more of the hey, just get the job done? I do like the silent killer. There is something about that where you are just so good and it's like, you know, you're good.

So I'm not even going to talk because you already know. I do kind of gravitate towards that almost like a Joe Burrow kind of player. Even in my homes, I guess talks a little bit, but like the sound assassin, I do respect a lot. Yeah, I like him too. Like one of the few jerseys that I ever bought when I was a kid, I got a Tim Duncan jersey because he would just go out there and get the job done. Now, somebody who I couldn't stand, especially as he got older in his career and it just seemed to get nasty, like I didn't care for Kevin Garnett. And it's just like, just just shut up.

I mean, if you got to amp yourself up and hype yourself up all the time, it gets to a point which is like, OK, now there's a level where it becomes obnoxious. And Kevin Garnett seemingly hit that point. A Draymond Green hit the point of being obnoxious a long time ago. And you know what Draymond Green isn't in these class of players anyway, so let's forget about him.

It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on the Infinity Sports Network, 855-212-4227. Thank you to Brian Damaris, Mavs analyst for joining us in this break. When we come back, we want to talk about a guy who's used to going to a championship game. He's not used to winning it.

See site for details. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It's the JR Sport Brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I know who's not trash. Brian Damaris from the Mavs. He's not trash. He came through and just gave us an amazing interview.

That's why he has a million jobs. He's going to be on the call tomorrow on the Mavs radio network. He says that if the Dallas Mavericks have to go out there and if they want to win this series, they have to light it up from three.

Let's see if they do so. You know, I got the Celtics winning this series, but I want a competitive one. I want to see seven games. I want to see the series come down to a final shot. And as Bubba Dub said, I mean, if the Celtics end up losing this series, people are going to just look at them and just say, that was trash.

It was. You know, there's a lot of conversations that you hear when teams get eliminated from the postseason. People start talking about whether or not the season was a failure or not. I mean, I don't care what league it is. If there's 30 teams, 32 teams, 15 teams. Not every team's goal is to go for a championship.

OK. But it is clear as day when you get to the final two teams, unless one of the teams was not expected to be there at all, at all, at all, at all. Like somebody is a failure. Right.

And this goes without me having to even really take a deep dive. If the Boston Celtics don't win the championship this year, having gone this far, gone this far again, missing out by a game last year of going to the finals again. This season is a failure. We can queue up the Giannis Aetetokounmpo thoughts on what a failure is or is not is professional sports.

The Celtics have had the best roster, the best team, great young talent, guys who are in their prime, guys who maybe have just entered into their prime. Come on. They got to get the job done.

If not, as Bubba Dub said. The trash. The trash that they don't want this. They are trash. Anyway, speaking of trash, congratulations to a team that's no longer trash.

I cannot believe it. The Cleveland Browns have actually operated as a decent football team over the past few years. And they could thank their new general manager, Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski, who've been running the show for the past four years. I mean, Kevin Stefanski, he's helped them not be trash. Two time coach of the year since taking over, including this past season, where somehow, some way how the hell they did this.

I do not know. The Cleveland Browns with that defense. This squad went eleven and six. Deshaun Watson busted up again. Pretty crazy. You think about Chubb. He got a busted knee.

Oh, my God. His knee wasn't just busted. Hickey, how many ligaments are in a knee? Do you know? Three, three, eight, ACL, MCL.

What am I missing? Is there a PCL? I think I heard PCL. Yeah.

Prosterio, I think. I'm no doctor. I think it's posterior. So that's three is no UCL is an elbow, right? UCL is in the elbow.

Yeah. So, OK, it's three. OK, maybe three ligaments in the knee. Look at you, Hickey. You are a doctor. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

I don't take that to the bank, but let's just say three. You can start a practice on Canal Street. Good first.

You're right. I could be talking about selling meniscuses and, you know, maybe you could maybe you could sell your own meniscus and give it to somebody else. Maybe you could do the operation. I do one stop shop.

You could make a lot of money on Canal Street. I have a good meniscus. No injuries.

So it's not fully intact. Well, that's good. That's good. Well, listen, maybe Lonzo Ball, maybe Lonzo Ball is going to give you a call any minute now. That may be coming.

Speaking of trash. But anyway, I wish him a speedy recovery. Congratulations to Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry because they got contract extensions. We don't know how long they got these deals. These are the Browns. It's still a bunch of guys in the Haslam family that decided to give Deshaun Watson a guaranteed contract. But Stefanski and Berry, they have certainly owned it, especially off the heels of last season. I have no idea how they got where the hell they are. Kevin Stefanski spoke to the media today.

Not trash. He says, man, it feels good for ownership to have our backs. You have conversations with ownership after every season and sitting down with Jimmy and sitting down with JW. Trust myself and Andrew, their family has given us that trust to be here is a big deal. So it's me and Jimmy, Whitney and JW. I mean, they've been ultra supportive of us in a football way and in a personal way. They've been great to our family. So I'm really excited to continue to partner with Andrew. And we have work to do. All is all is right with the world. Look at this. Lions are a stable football team.

The Browns are a stable football team. Who would have thought this? Like we went through 2020 and we've come out in a different world here. Whoa. Must be in the Twilight Zone.

Speaking of all right. How is Nick Chubb? I mean, that man's knee, his knee bent like an elbow in the wrong direction. I thought this man's leg was going to separate at the kneecap and somehow, some way. Nick Chubb is practicing. He's hoping to get back on the field this season.

Listen to what he said. It felt good. I was down in September. I mean, they start moving really, really well until, you know, kind of lately. So, you know, now it's feeling good to be able to move around. Nick, what are your goals and expectations for winning in practice?

I'm not looking too far ahead. I'm just taking it day by day. It's Wednesday. I had a good day on Wednesday.

That's my whole mindset. Hickey, I'm surprised he still has a career. Man, that is one of the worst injuries I've ever seen in my life. It was disgusting and not as bad, but still pretty catastrophic was the injury suffered at Georgia, too.

When he was there, like it is remarkable in the sense of all the knee injuries he's gone through and is still still coming back and playing. Bro, your knee is not supposed to bend. His knee is not supposed to bend. His knee made the letter L in the wrong direction, Hickey. How?

When you're a hated rival, the fans are feeling bad for you. That's when you know it's a very bad injury. Oh, my God. He must be, like, made out of plastic.

What's that guy from — is that the guy's name from the Fantastic Four? Teflon. What?

Teflon Don? No. Hickey, come on. Oh, no.

Hickey. The Fantastic Four. I don't — You just said something so terrible. What? Oh, my God. I said Fantastic Four and you said Teflon? Did you say Mr. Teflon?

Teflon Don? Oh, no. That's — no. Is that — No. You heard of the Human Torch, right?

I have not. Oh, no. Did I just step into — You — this is terrible.

A mess here? Yeah, this is bad. Oh, no.

This is bad. You heard of Mr. Fantastic, by the way, is the stretchy man. You know who I'm referring to?

I had no idea. He stretches. He stretches.

Like, his arms and stuff. OK. I'm sure it's like the equivalent of Elastigirl in The Incredibles, right? Yeah, something like that. OK. You know the Thing? That's the character? The Thing? That's the rock guy from the Fantastic Four.

No idea. I couldn't tell what the Fantastic Four is about. I'm guessing it's superheroes, but, like, is it a combination of superheroes, I guess? Yeah, it's a Fantastic Four of superheroes, yes. That stuff is over my head. I'm too — that's one I'll never catch up on. Is that Marvel? It is Marvel.

Fantastic. It's OK. I'm sorry. I told you I'm very uncultured.

It's OK. Look, Nick Chubb's knee bent the wrong way. I compared him to an action hero. A sci-fi — I don't even — now you got me confused. I love Marvel.

You got me confused over it. Anyway, all the best to Nick Chubb and his recovery. I'm shocked that he's able to even — I thought his career was done, to be honest, and here he is, getting ready to play. And when he comes back, let's see what he got.

I mean, not this year, but when he's at full strength, is he gonna get everybody another 1,300 yards on the ground? I'd be a little surprised about that. Nicky, do I have to send you, like, a stack of Marvel comics? Do I gotta put on the — they got movies for the Fantastic Four now. I know, but there's so — I mean, there's what, like 35, 40 Marvel movies?

I'm too, too far. They're not all that — see, I haven't watched in a long time, but they're not all that related. You can watch the Fantastic Four without having to be sucked into the, you know, the Infinity Stones and all this other stuff that Marvel does. You could get away with the Fantastic Four.

It's for people saving people. That's it. How many movies are made with the Fantastic Four? I'm sure it's not just one part. I don't know. Like, three parts?

Four parts? I don't — I think maybe I've seen one. I remember them from the comics and cartoons. I don't remember them from the movies. Oh, OK. All right.

I'm not sure if that helps still, but with my state and where I'm at in terms of not knowing a lot, but — Right. Maybe. How about that? Maybe.

I'll check it out. It's OK. If I say somebody blocking a shot like Go-Go Gadget, you know who that is, right? Yes.

OK. I've heard of Go-Go Gadget. No, he's Inspector Gadget. He's inspecting stuff with his hat.

He's an inspector. It's OK. I'll get you — one day — I'm sorry you have to deal with me.

No, it's OK. It's great. It's great doing the show with you, but one day I'll just — I'll ship you over a bunch of comics and cartoons and stuff, and then you could waste your time like everybody else, which is maybe — which is why you're good at what you do.

Anyway, it's the J.R. Sport re-show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. You know all this contract talk with the Browns. How about Deebo Samuel had some thoughts on a contract today? And speaking of contracts, this is something that just goes on and on and on and on. If you haven't heard, the NBA is pretty much moving towards new contracts. And it seems like the NBA on TNT, it's getting closer and closer to being done. It's the J.R.
