Thank you to everybody tuned in and locked in, whoever the hell you are. Much love to all the police officers, the firefighters, the nurses, the hospital people, the teachers, the public servants, the good public servants that aren't stealing from people. Shout outs to people doing good. People trying to do good.

And just everybody tuning in. Thank you. I appreciate you. I'll be hanging out with you for the next three hours. My main man, super producer and host, Ryan Hickey.

He's in New York City. We just having fun. That's it, right? Shouldn't be that tough. Shouldn't be that tough to talk about sports. Come on now.

I've been here for an hour. The show gets started every single weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. You can always listen on the free Odyssey app that's spelled A-U-D-A-C-Y. Thank you to everybody listening live and local on their radio station, whatever their affiliate is. If you got Sirius XM, all my truck drivers, it's 158.

I'm not a truck driver. I got Sirius. And if you got a smart speaker, just ask it to play the Infinity Sports Network and boom, we pop right the hell on up. We talked about the Mavs last night beating the Timberwolves, missing a chance to eliminate them. We talked about Kaitlyn Clark, the best game of her young career. She dropped 30 points last night in another loss.

It stinks for them. And then we also found out that the Chiefs, they got another player with another issue. Isaiah Buggs. Well, yeah, you probably never heard of him because he's on like the practice squad.

He got a little bit of a dog issue facing two misdemeanors out in Tuscaloosa. I can assure you, as Hickey agreed, he is probably going to just get cut. He is not Harrison Butker. He is not Patrick Mahomes. He's not Travis Kelsey. He's not Chris Jones.

He's just likely to get cut. That's how it is, right? That's life. Some of us have privilege and some of us don't. Some of us can get away with, well, let me just say things and some of us don't. Okay, in a few seconds, I think these two are taking advantage of who they are. Why the hell not, right? That's life.

If you can do it, do it. We'll talk about Scottie Scheffler in a second, as well as a Bronny James. If you didn't know who the hell that is, that is the son of LeBron.

Yeah, Bronny. LeBron James Jr. And then in an hour from now, because it is Wednesday, I know it got here fast, didn't it? I'm going to give you a new top six list and tonight we're going to take a look.

Because it's the NBA playoffs, right? I want to give you my top six list. Some of the best clutch performers that the NBA has ever seen. If I have to think about six individuals who I would want to go into a must-win game, who the hell would I want?

I'm going to give you my top six and I'm going to do that in an hour from now. I got you all locked in. If you want to talk to me now, you can do so. The phone number is here and it works. It's 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. Thank you to everybody who's on the internet, even the people who want to complain and argue with strangers. I am there as well. I am at JR Sport Brief. We talked to you about privilege, right?

People who are able to take advantage of circumstance or wealth or fame or whatever's been afforded to them to get out of situations, to make better of them. Well, it was pretty wild earlier today when we found out that Scottie Shuffler, he got off. He is not facing a damn thing. Scottie Shuffler, you might recall, had an incident with a police officer where he allegedly hit police officer, didn't listen to police officer, dragged police officer, was arrested, was behind bars, sat in a cell for a couple hours and all of a sudden, boom. He's right back in Louisville in Valhalla playing at the PGA Championship like nothing happened. He didn't win the tournament, but at least he got to play, I don't want to say criminal for a day, but he did. They offered him a bologna sandwich.

Hey man, do you want the full experience? Here's a bologna sandwich. Scottie Shuffler's like, yeah man, they had me in there and I was watching myself on TV. The other officers were coming over going, oh, that's the golfer. Let's take photos. I mean, come on.

This wasn't your normal jail experience. It's Scottie Shuffler. This is a man who's won himself two masters. This is a man who this past year before they went to Valhalla, he won four out of the last five tournaments that he played in.

This is the best golf in the world right now. And everybody in Louisville, after he faced four charges, assault of an officer, third degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, disregarding traffic signals from an officer. The prosecutor said, let's throw it out. We don't have enough evidence. The officer who was hit, he basically turned off his body cam. He had no body cam.

I mean, the best video was from far, far away. And so everybody pretty much agreed, hey, we will drop the charges if you agree not to sue us. And Scottie Shuffler's like, man, I just want to get on with my life. That's it.

And I guess the final quote unquote nail in the coffin to dismissing this case. Hickey, did you did you hear the for whatever reason, the guy who got hit, the officer who got hit, we don't have his body cam, but the officer whose car he was detained in prior to being arrested. Like that that officer's camera was still on.

They got a whole conversation about Scottie Shuffler saying, I know he was a cop. And Hickey, this this has been sitting around for two weeks and it just really got hype today. It is kind of amazing with how big this story was for, at least on Friday, then really the whole weekend, how like, I mean, apparently this has been out there for, like you said, two weeks.

And I don't know why today people are noticing it or it's getting some run. But yeah, I heard it. I mean, I guess you could say watch because it was sort of like a video, you know, you don't see anything. Yeah.

Let's just say not a very good look for the police officer. You heard of heard of pretty privilege, right? That's what they call it. Pretty privilege.

No, I never heard that. Pretty privilege. Yeah. Pretty people get the best. Pretty woman.

Pretty woman get out of a traffic ticket. Right. Pretty, pretty privilege. I knew I knew of the concept.

I did not know that there was a name for it. Interesting. OK, I like that. Pretty privilege. You've never got pulled over and said you're going to use your handsome looks to dissuade an officer. No, never? Knock on wood. I've never gotten pulled over so far. Oh, good for you.

That's good, Hickey. I obey the rules. I wear my seat belt. I don't. I go with the flow of traffic.

I won't say I don't speed, but I go with the flow of traffic. OK, OK. I'm about I'm about do Hickey.

I'm about to get pulled over. Don't say that. Come on. It's been a while. It's been a minute.

I try not to, but it's been a while. Are you itching? Listen, I'm not itching. Listen, I'm not. I'm not. Trust me, I'm not.

I'm a black man in America. The last thing I want to do is get pulled over. I'm not I'm not itching to get pulled over for not a damn thing. But Scottie Shuffler got pulled over. Well, well, well, just listen to this interaction between Scottie Shuffler and this officer in the front seat. And you could leave me up, Hickey. I want to talk over this if I need to pipe in here.

Let's listen to this. I had to loop all the way around that way. It took me about a half hour because I'm pulling in here. The police officer up there told me to come the opposite way with the traffic and then come in. As I was pulling in, my window was down and the officer told me to stop. And as I was first of all, I did not know that he was a police officer. I thought he was one of the security guards that was mistaken. And as I was pulled by me. Stop right there.

Why does it matter if he's a security guard or a police officer? Because somebody's telling you to stop. Yes, you're right. I should have stopped. I did get a little bit impatient because I'm quite late for my time. And as he was reaching in the car, he grabbed my shoulder and hit me like trying to get you to stop.

Damn. Yes, you hit him. It seemed to be a little bit over aggressive because the entrance was open. And I pulled over because I was afraid I thought he was going to start hitting me. And I didn't know who he was. He didn't tell me he was a police officer. I didn't always always the yellow jacket. I don't know what he was doing. Well, so the thing is, he's wearing a uniform.

He also is wearing the same jacket that I have on the police. Also on that, if someone's telling you to stop, no matter who it is, you don't keep going. So what happened is you kept going and you took him with you while he's a pedestrian.

Damn. So you took him with your car and drug him. Which is not a good thing to make it. So listen to me.

So make it even worse. When he asked you to get out of the car, you refused to get out of the car. I still did not. I was not aware he was a police officer. I was actually looking out the window of the car to try to find a police officer. We're all right here and he was there.

Believe me, sir. We're all wearing yellow vests so you can see us. If you knew he was a police officer, I would have been much more less afraid. But panic kind of set in.

As you can see, I'm still shaking because I was afraid I didn't know who he was. He didn't say police get out of the car. He just hit me with his flashlight.

Just a guy with a vest. We're wearing a lot of police gears. That's truly signifies that we're the police. Sir, believe me. If I knew he was a police officer, I would have gone out of the car.

I don't know what to tell you other than I was a little bit panicked trying to get into the golf course and now I don't know what to do. Let's go back to the first point, OK? No matter if you thought it was a police officer or not, while we're wearing yellow vests, why do you think we're wearing yellow vests? So you can see us, right?

Yes. So you can see us. And if somebody tells you to stop, if it's a traffic guard, security guard, anybody, that means you stop at that time and you don't keep going. OK, so stuff like this doesn't happen because you actually actually hurt him. He's a police officer. He's got a huge scrape on his knee. He's going to check by EMS.

Big bruise. So I don't I don't know. But for you right now, the main question is if you're going to jail and it's up to him. I don't know.

Am I able to speak with him? No. Oh, man. Look, I felt like I was sitting in on an episode of Cops and I know Cops is not. Well, yeah, Cops. I don't think Cops is on television anymore. We certainly live in a different society. I mean, you could probably find cops, but it ain't wildly distributed. Here's the thing.

They were errors on both sides. Like Scott, we talk about pretty privilege. I ain't saying that Scotty Shuffler got pretty privilege, obviously not. But the fact is, he thought I'm the golfer. I ain't listening to the security guard. The door, the gate is open.

I'm going right on in. I'm not listening to this guy. So what he got on a bright vest and he got a flashlight. He doesn't look like a cop. He just looks like Joe, the security guard. I'm not listening to him.

And so that's that's error number one on that guy's side. And so to disregard that. And I look look. I know I go to plenty of sporting events. I go to so many sporting events that I know security guards. I know officers. I know police officers. I know vendors. I know staff. There's so many people. And, you know, the fact is, there's plenty of places where I go.

I don't know everybody. You've got to respect people who are just trying to do their job. If that's a security guy.

Oh, my God. As a member of the media, do you know how many times I got to go somewhere and get a credential? And, you know, this person doesn't know this or they don't know that. I don't just go, hey, man, screw you. I know what I'm doing. I don't do that. You've got to respect people who are trying to keep you safe and are just trying to do their damn job.

And so that's an error on Scottie Scheffler. OK, that's it. Number one. And then on the police department. I mean, what does everybody want from the police?

You know what it's called? Just transparency. The fact that this man, this this officer who apparently was scraped and injured, they said his pants were damaged beyond repair.

I don't know if that means his ass was out. It doesn't matter to me. You've got to have your evidence, bro. What are we doing here? And so both the asking me, they both look like fools, just they did what they needed to do.

They looked each other in the face and they said, ah, misunderstanding and go the other way. Scottie Scheffler, he certainly, quote unquote, utilized his his privilege. I don't know if I'd get that much benefit of the doubt.

I don't know if Hickey would get that much benefit of the doubt. He's a celebrity. There's a high profile thing. You want to know something, by the way? If this was anybody else that's not a famous golfer, you want to know what would happen?

You probably still have charges against you. That's the reality of it. But we know how the world works.

We know how the world operates. And when you have money and you have profile and you have fame. You get a little bit of leeway. You get off just a little bit.

Get a little slack cut for you. Hickey, what are your thoughts now that they've pretty much dismissed this and everybody's just going in separate ways? I think you said it perfectly.

We're both sides are wrong. Like Scottie Scheffler did. It did not sound good when he is basically saying, yeah, I ignored what someone was saying in a security vest where it seems like everyone was in the same uniform.

So it should be easy to identify a police officer. It just sounds like he was frustrated. I'm just going to keep on going. But with that said, you know, especially now with what we know of what happened and we've seen, I believe all the video we've had to see.

I would love to know. And I'm sure this officer that we heard in the video was just told this, I believe. I hope he wasn't in on it. I'd love to know the big scrape that the officer got and the bruise that apparently he was dragged. I would love to know when this dragging happened.

I mean, Scottie didn't really do anything to refute that. But I mean, unless there's another video that I just didn't see. But I think we all saw the same video from that video from that camera across the street. I'd love to know when when the dragging happened, where that officer is now getting tended to.

That's interesting to me. We got that. Well, we got that far. We didn't get the officers video, the one that was involved. I get his video. We got a video from like a light pole somewhere a little bit further away.

Traffic and buses were obstructing the view. And then two weeks later, we got a widely distributed video of another officer who he was in the car with while he was being detained. So who the hell knows? I mean, at this point, Hickey, it'll be another two weeks. We get another video. At this point, you're probably right.

And also at this point, I think it makes sense for everybody. Drop it and let's just try as best we can to pretend this never happened. Move on. Yeah. Yeah. And Scottie Shuffler, he he got an adventure that he didn't have to pay for.

You didn't have to pay for it. He got what do they call that? That's a that's a wrong show.

What's wrong with me? I was going to say naked and afraid. Well, if he went to jail, I guess you could say that would absolutely be the case. Naked. Holy cow.

If he got arrested and booked. Yeah. Oh, my God. Naked and afraid. That's not the name of the show. What's the name?

I've passed by it years ago. Scared straight. Now what they do, right? Oh, yeah. They take the bad ass.

They take the bad ass. Little different from a show. Naked. Wait, wait.

Holy cow. Naked and Afraid is not the same show as Scared Straight? It's not the same thing. I guess they could be analogous.

Yeah, they might. Look. In some circles. Every now and then we come up with some good ideas here. Maybe it's up to you and I to now make that. Is that the new jail show?

Yes, I think a lot of people would be tuning in to see what happens in jail. Naked Afraid. It was what we call it. Naked Afraid and what? This make naked and afraid. No, I'm not mixing them up. They're naked and afraid is the survival show.

Yes. Naked and Afraid. And then the other one is Scared Straight. Scared Straight. So the show could be called Naked Afraid and Scared Straight. New show.

Let me write that down in my notes. Naked Afraid and Scared Straight. OK, new show. I just remember that they used to take the bad ass kids and the ones that think that they're tough and that they're, you know, the baddest thing in the neighborhood, like stealing from the corner store and telling Grandma Susie she sucks. And they take them down to the jail and walk them around, maybe to prison.

And the prisoners try to scare the living hell out of them. And so Scotty Shuffler got that and not a bad ass kid. He just was being disrespectful to a security officer because he's the famous golfer. I don't need to listen to him. Look at the look at the trouble that he caused. Ever is on both sides and keep it moving.

And I've had a story that I can kind of just roll my eyes at for the next eternity. It's the J.R. sport we show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. The phone number here is eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. You didn't get arrested. His name is Bronny James. We'll talk about him on the other side of the break.

Eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. I can't wait to share with you my new top six list at the top of the hour. You got about thirty five minutes for that.

A few minutes ago, we talked about Scottie Scheffler. No charges against them. The charges are dropped. The police in Kentucky said, we're going to drop the charges. The prosecutor did. Not enough evidence.

Not worth it. Even though Scottie Scheffler is just like, I saw the guy was wearing a vest. I didn't know he was a cop. I just didn't care that he was security. And I just ignored him. And then the cop didn't have on a security cam.

He had his camera off. And then the two wrongs don't make a right. So it's over because he's rich. Just the facts. Me, I'd still be in trouble.

Anyway, you got to use your privilege when you can. Right. Like Brawny James. We know about Brawny James. Unfortunately, a cardiac arrest last year before his season at USC. He has a crap season at USC. Well, first of all, let's just be happy the kid is alive.

And then he goes out and he's like. I mean, he's averaging four and five points a game, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. He had a bad year.

Everybody had a bad year for USC. Well, we get news from his agent, Rich Paul. Yes, LeBron's friend, also LeBron's agent that he's staying in the draft, that Brawny James is staying in the draft. And oh, yeah, by the way, he's not accepting a two way contract, which means he's not going to spend the majority of his season in the G League. He's going to look for an NBA team where he can develop.

Now, depending on who you ask and where you see or what you read. I think without a shadow of a doubt, people can look at his athleticism and say, yeah, he measured as one of the best athletes. And the draft, he has one of the best brains in the draft because, I mean, he's a son of LeBron. I had to commentate one of this guy's games when he was 16 years old. And I've never seen a more composed 16 year old like he knew what he was doing on the court. He wasn't the best player out there, but he knew what he was doing, wasn't making stupid decisions over dribbling and whatnot. He's very smart. But how does that measure up for a guy who's six foot one and has room to grow? I said right here on the air a few weeks ago, like today, as it stands right now, he's not good. He can grow to be good, but today he's not good. And he's at where he is because of his dad. And OK, if you can do it, why the hell not?

And so they've taken advantage of it. I mean, it was only a few weeks ago that Bronny James finally spoke to the media, because if I got to give credit to LeBron and his wife and their family, for one thing, they've kept him out of the media spotlight as best as they could. He ain't sitting around doing interviews. And Bronny James, two weeks ago, he talked about what it would mean to play with his dad.

And listen to this. I don't think I would just like when I get there, I don't think it would be like just be like me and my dad. Like I would I would. You know, I would be happy about getting to the league to be thinking about playing with my dad. But that's like not my mindset right now at all. I'm just trying to put in the work and see where it takes me from there.

Yeah, it'd be cool. I mean, why wouldn't it be cool to work with your dad, especially in such a limited sport like the NBA? This ain't working at the post office where your family worked for the past, I don't know, 50 generations. This is the NBA. It's a big deal. I mean, I'm sure they get sick of each other at a certain point, but this has never been done in history, ever. And so Rich Paul, he says Bronny should not apologize for who his daddy is. This is what he told the is what it is podcast. First of all, I think there's.

We can't sit here and act like nepotism didn't exist prior. So they want it. They want a young man to apologize for.

Who is the father? He can't do that. And we also can't expect for a father not to be overly excited for the journey in a very positive way of his son and all he had to endure and overcome. The same time, we're also going to welcome what comes with being an athlete. Opinions come with being an athlete and Bronny, just like any other athlete, can't run from that.

That's part of it now. Obviously, Brian is in a much different position because, again, he's coming from a richness which most kids don't come from, but he also loves the game. And so he's not allowing that to affect his love, his work ethic and his drive and things like that for the game. Yeah, that's that's all true and well, but we don't have another comparison for this.

We can't we can't compare this to, like I said, the post office or being a teacher. This is the NBA. This is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. I don't even know if looking at, you know, the Griffey's is a is a decent comparison.

I'd have to think about it. This is so unique. You know, most people think about nepotism and they just go, hey, daddy worked upstairs and now I work upstairs or I ran a business or he ran a business. Now he's going to run the business. So, hey, my kid needs a job.

Can you give him a look? Like, that's how it works. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that if somebody actually does the work and deserves to be there.

That's what it is. And so if LeBron can help his kid out, then why the hell not? But nobody needs to run away from the reality and the facts that, hey, they're going to utilize everything that they can to get him a crack, to get him a shot because of who his dad is. OK, and then we got the report today from Shams on FanDuel that Bronny James. He's going to work out for some teams.

But he ain't going to work out for everybody. Bronny James has over 10 workout invites during the pre draft process, but I'm told he's only going to visit a couple of those. And that's going to include the Lakers and the Phoenix Suns, the sons of the number 22 overall pick in the draft. He's under consideration there among obviously a lot of players at 22. But it's going to come down to the development plan is going to come down to guaranteed money, whether it's late in the first round, in the second round. But the fact that there's only going to be a couple of teams, two, three teams that Bronny James visits. And the Lakers and Suns, interestingly, are among the two teams.

Oh, OK. Yeah, if you got if you got the stick to wield and do it right. Why would Bronny James work out for the. Let's just be real. He's going to work out for the Pistons. For what is Bronny James going to work out for the Washington Wizards? Why?

For what? There's very few teams. The guys are going to be in the league. Can we just put them on the Lakers and call it a day? Hickey, what are we doing?

Just put them on the Lakers, right? What are we wasting time for? I mean, what are we wasting time for? I'm with you.

Why is anyone wasting their time even scouting this kid? What are we doing? Go ahead. Go ahead.

Go ahead. Hearing this. This is just an embarrassment. I'm sorry for a player.

I mean, we went through the stats weeks ago as a four points a game over like 20 minutes, like 30 percent shooting. And now he's dictating terms. We're not going to have it. We're not going to take a two way contract. We're going to work out with two teams, one of which my dad currently plays for.

Are you serious about playing or you just want to be in the league like if you want to just be in the league? He'll you're probably right. He's going to end up on the Lakers. And then when LeBron retires in two years, they're going to cut him because whilst you're going to have Brian, the team doesn't want to work. Maybe he turns into a good player for another team. Maybe I'm being too harsh here. You tell me.

I think what you've heard. Can you actually believe that he's willing to put in the work to actually be a good player, make a name for himself, like his own name? So I wouldn't you accept a ticket to the G League? Wouldn't you accept every workout you possibly could take to make some sort of impression and get drafted by anybody? Instead of saying, I'm only going to work out with two teams.

Then if you want to give me a two way contract, don't even think about it. Yet that that would be the traditional route. But there's there's a power play involved.

I mean, they got the they got the LeBron card in their back pocket. And so I don't think this takes away from from what he's going to do. You are right. He needs to play basketball if he gets drafted by the Suns. Is he playing basketball next year? I don't think so. OK, if he gets drafted by the Lakers, is he playing basketball next year? I don't I don't think so. He might benefit.

He might he might benefit. Let's let's be real. He has an advantage from a basketball standpoint that no prospect that has ever played basketball at any point in life has had. OK, we can look at Michael Jordan and this and that. You're LeBron James's kid.

You're even in the conversation of being an NBA player. Michael Jordan's kids didn't even get close. Nobody cared about him. They stunk.

They were like, whatever. We don't even care about Michael Jordan's sons. They played in college and it's like, whatever. Like, Bronny James was a legitimate prospect.

He was a McDonald's All-American. He he's made his bones. He just stunk on a college level and it might be due to his cardiac arrest.

And I agree today he's not good. I think he can still compete or just travel for a little bit. Participate on an NBA team. It's just a matter of how much he plays. And, you know, yeah, he doesn't want a two way contract. That doesn't mean, as far as I know, that they can't send him to the G League to get some reps. I think it actually limits the amount of time that he could he could spend on an NBA roster if he got a two way contract.

So I still think he could have a decent career with the potential start that he has now. It's just it's not conventional and it's not conventional because his dad is LeBron. That's like.

I don't know. That's like the CEO of a company saying. I'm going to bring in my son who he doesn't have skills. You know, he should be working one job, but I'm just going to make him CFO.

Like I like out the gate. You know, he needs to have a degree in math. He needs to know how to count.

He needs to be an accountant. And maybe he can learn how to do it. It just I'm not all that upset. Hickey, I'm not.

I'm not. I think he could still turn out fine. Or maybe nobody drafts him. And if that happens, can you imagine what we get from there? That would be very interesting. And then it's a free for all in terms of who wants to sign them. But yeah, it's it's it's going to be.

Yeah, this is they say it's obviously going nowhere. They may want that. It's true, too. They may want him to be undrafted because then they can pretty much choose. And it's such a crazy thing.

Unless you're a team that's just like, I don't want the distractions. They're going to have they're going to have options in that regard. I don't know. We're not going to have to wait too much longer, man, because the draft is what?

Almost exactly a month away at this point. Twenty six. Yeah, just about right. Something like that. What are they still doing in New York? Are they traveling like the NFL? I don't think they're going to be traveling like the NFL.

It's a hot take for you. I think we're going to have three hundred thousand people outside of, I don't know, the Brooklyn Nets arena. That much I know.

They still do it in Brooklyn. I think so. What are they doing? NBA draft.

Twenty, twenty four. Oh, they're doing it over two days. Oh, what a waste of our time. Oh, my God.

What is this? NBA draft. The Barclays Center. OK. And Brooklyn again is Madison Square Garden. You know, they're too difficult to work with. Costs too much money. Yeah.

In Brooklyn over two days. Oh, my God. Hickey, nobody knows who these guys are in the second round anyway. Well, like what? Go ahead.

Go ahead. I would agree, except for Ronnie. Like there's so many and it's not I'm not trying to be rude. There used to be a day where there was so many prospects coming out of college. You know, I could stick around in the second round and just go, oh, yeah, I know that guy. Oh, yeah, him. I remember him. But when you start talking about like the 38th pick from Paris, I don't know who this guy is.

They're showing me grainy YouTube highlights from the EuroLeague. I'm like, I don't know him. And so they're going to do this draft over two days. Hickey, you want to know who's not going to be paying attention to day number two?

You me. I'm not I'll probably be here on air, but I who cares? Anyway, congratulations to Bronny James and a Scottie Shuffler for utilizing their privilege.

They've earned it. It's the J.R. sport brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven.

That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. When we come back on the other side of the break, we're going to talk about a guy. He has had the fight for everything that he got. He's trying to fight for a job right now in Pittsburgh.

And he's not changing positions to get onto the field. I'll tell you the name of the guy on the other side of the break. Hey, I'm Andy. I think actually meeting someone who was not vaccinated and now has a lifelong struggle with a childhood disease. Really cemented for me that it's super important that we as parents continue to vaccinate our children.

Talk to your pediatrician or visit Y vaccines dot com brought to you by Merck. You're listening to the J.R. sport brief. It's the J.R. sport show here with you on the infinity sports network at the top of the hour. I'm going to give you a top six list of some of the best clutch players that the NBA has ever seen.

You got to wait about 15 minutes for that. But this hour we talked about individuals who have and utilize a little bit of privilege. Bronny James nepotism. Scotty Scheffler wealth.

Bronny James is reportedly only going to work out for two teams here in the draft process, that being the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. And then Scotty Scheffler, all the charges are dropped. All four charges are dropped by the prosecutors in Kentucky, you know, following his little incident with the police officer. He didn't listen to the officer. He didn't know it was an officer. He pretty much ran by or ran through the officer. The officer got hurt. Officer didn't have his cam on, didn't identify that he was an officer. Just everybody's wrong all over the place.

Nice to have privilege, right? Somebody right now who doesn't have that. Is Justin Fields. Yeah, the new quarterback, along with Russell Wilson for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has to work if he wants a starting job. Mike Tomlin has pretty much said that Russell Wilson is going to get the starting opportunity here for the Pittsburgh Steelers because he has more experience. And so Justin Fields, if he wants to be the starting quarterback for the Steelers, he's going to have to earn the job. There's no nepotism here. There's no favoritism. This is a matter of football.

Can you throw the rock better than the other guy? In a couple of weeks ago, we had running back Jalen Warren of the Steelers. He came out of his mouth and said, hey, our special teams coach, Danny Smith, he's pretty much said. We may utilize Justin Fields as a returner because we have these new kickoff rules. And if you're not familiar, the new NFL kickoff. The kickers are going to kick from 35 yard line. All the other players, the other kickoff return guys or defenders, the other 10 players. They're going to start on the other team's 40. And so basically they're going to be much, much closer. The NFL doesn't want these these ridiculous collisions, guys running downfield like bullets at each other.

They want them closer together. And the return team will have an opportunity to have two return guys. And so finally, it looks like we're going to have more kickoff returns because for years it looked like the kickoff didn't exist. This let's kick the ball into the end zone and let's just start, you know, on the field and keep it moving.

We didn't see no returns. And so it was rumored that Justin Fields, if he wanted to see the field, this is something that he'd have to do. Well, today, put that to rest, he was asked about it and said, I think everybody kind of interpreted it wrong. Coach Danny was basically trying to send a message that no matter who you are, you could be on special teams.

He just used that as an example. It's funny how serious social media takes everything. It was kind of funny to me when everybody was making a big deal out of it for no reason. No, social media didn't make it a big deal. Your teammate made it a big deal by even sharing it with the public.

Ain't no joke. I think everybody interpreted it the right way. It came out of a teammate's mouth and he wasn't joking about it.

How the hell else was anybody going to interpret it? We're not in the locker room with you. Stop it. Funny stuff. He then continued on. He says, no, I'm not here to do that.

Returning kicks. It was kind of a joke, to be honest with you. OK. I know it wasn't a joke to his agent.

I know it wasn't a joke to anybody else. And Justin Fields, if he wants to play, he's going to have to go out there and do it at the quarterback position. 855-212-4227. Billy is calling from Kentucky. Billy, you're on the JR Sportbreeze show. What's up, my man? I'm cutting hay down here.

First day it hadn't rained for so long. I'm in the field working. 75 years old and trying to listen to your show every chance I get. And I happen to be in a track today that I can hear you working.

You mentioned all them people started the show, truck drivers, people, and police. And I thought you ought to mention these guys that's feeding you, too. Oh, well, thank you. Thank you, Billy. I appreciate you on the track. And I appreciate you for listening, man. Thank you. Yes, sir. I enjoyed your show.

And I especially enjoyed you talking about that golfer, too. Well, thank you. You got to tell them folk in Kentucky something, OK?

You got to tell them to get it together. All right, Billy, enjoy. You be safe. All right.

Thank you, sir. Thank you, Billy, for Kentucky. I like to eat. He's feeding me. He cutting the hay. The hay? Hickey, what they do with that hay?

I'm not a horse. Grind it down, right? Make that grain.

It's for me. Is that where my oatmeal comes from? From hay? No, no, no, no grain. Or is it just grain? The screen, I think. Yes, different.

Yeah, I think you're right. We'll Google it in a second. Davis here from Tampa. You're on the J.R. sport re-show. What's up, Dave? Oh, J.R., you always be saying keeping it moving. So I'm gonna let you know something you're not aware of, man. The energy you bring to your show, bro. You always sound like you're ready to return a kick, man.

Is there any truth to that? Well, listen, I'm quite the athlete. I could bust some ass out here. What else you got, Dave?

Hurry up. We're at the end of the break. Well, what it is, the NFL films show the three phases of the game. Defense, offense, and special teams.

And I was blown away. All said and done, special teams had, you know, the way the game's gonna come out, which comes to these new kickoffs, man. If everybody just spins their blocks, we could be having some run back.

No, absolutely. I mean, we talk about the Steelers. The thing is, there's so many words about Justin Fields being one of the two potential returners. But the fact is, they signed Cordell Patterson, who's the NFL all-time leader in touchdown returns on kickoff. So, no, I mean, today the New York Jets, they signed Tariq Cohen with the purpose of, hey, let's put him in the backfield and see what he can run back. So, am I expecting Josh Cribbs numbers out of some of these guys?

No. But it's gonna be the most exciting that we got in a long time. And thank you, Dave, for calling from Tampa. It sounded like he was trying to start up his lawnmower.

I don't know what he was doing. And me return kicks? If my right knee was good, I'd be out there busting ass today.

I'm working on it. Hickey, I think I'm gonna get me one of these, what do they do, 10-day contracts? Well, that's the NBA, right?

Yeah. But hey, that's even better. You can get a long-term or a full-year contract and then get cut after one game. And, well, I guess you will probably get paid because it's not guaranteed, so never mind. But you can get one.

Hey, still, one NFL paycheck's pretty good. I was gonna say, you could be my agent, but it doesn't sound like that'd be a good idea. Show me the money. Don't worry, I got you. Okay. All right. No taking.

It's the JR Sport Reshow here on the Infinity Sports Network. We're gonna take a break when we come back. There's no NBA today, but I'm gonna give you a top-six list of some of the most clutch performers that we've ever seen in the NBA. Who would you want taking that big shot?

Who would you want in that big game? We'll talk about it on the other side. Don't move. I'm at the nail salon. I'm at the grocery store. I'm at the combination nail salon and grocery store.

Wait, she's at the nail salon and the grocery store? Listen as Selenia tells us why she chose to vaccinate her daughter. I definitely felt like the pros far outweighed the cons, the diseases that I am protecting my child against.
