I don't know where you at, but thank you for being here. We're going to be here with you for the next hour.

OK, this show gets started, though, every single weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 p.m. Pacific. Not too difficult to hang out, OK? Like Antonio Daniels did, former NBA player with the Spurs, NBA champion, analyst. He came through and he joined us earlier on in the show. Fought basketball, of course, and speaking of basketball, we got a game going on right now in Indianapolis, Indiana. The New York Knicks, the hobbled New York Knicks are beating the Pacers 90 to 85 as they head into the fourth quarter. Dante DiVincenzo having the game of his life. 32 points right now for the New York Knicks. We know Jalen Brunson running around with that busted foot. Brunson 19 points, eight of 19 shooting. But Dante DiVincenzo, the leading scorer in the entire game.

Tyrese Halliburton has 28 points. Meanwhile, we got another game coming up in about 30 minutes. The Nuggets are going to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves are at home. They have a chance to push their lead to 3-0 against the defending champs.

Tell me that wouldn't be a little bit of a punch in the mouth, a little bit of a shocker if Minnesota goes up 3-0 against the Denver Nuggets. So we've had a busy night right before we went to break. We just talked about all the rookie minicamps that are going on across the NFL.

Caleb Williams is speaking. It's just wild. Pennix Junior showing up to work with the Falcons. The NFL is always busy.

There's always something. Earlier today, we learned that it's official. Mike Boonenholzer is the new head coach of the Phoenix Suns. Rick Carlisle, who's coaching right now, earlier today, he was fined $35,000 for criticizing the officials.

No shock there. And last night, we got into the basketball games that occurred last night. The Celtics choking against the Cavaliers. Yeah, they choked. And then also, the Oklahoma City Thunder losing to Luka Doncic, who somehow, someway, was able to find his shooting stroke.

I guess Luka Doncic feels better. So as we continue on this show this hour, I will definitely keep you up to date with what's going on between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. How the Knicks are doing this with like three healthy players, I have no idea. But they are. And the Pacers, they ain't that good. They should be able to run the Knicks out the damn building. But that's a story for the series as it continues on. I do want to talk about Anthony Edwards, who's going to play basketball in a few minutes.

And then I do want to talk about an unusual beef. Like we got Shaquille O'Neal and Shannon Sharp, who are just throwing barbs and shots at each other or primarily Shaq is. Shaq is he hasn't had the greatest of weeks. His ex-wife is putting out books about their relationship and she didn't love him. And it's just it's rough for Shaq.

And so I may be a little little soft right now on the criticism. He doesn't he doesn't want to hear it. But but anyway, let's talk about Anthony Edwards. Let's talk about the man who who wiped the floor. With the Phoenix Suns swept the team led by Kevin Durant with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal has a 2 0 series lead against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Let's talk about Anthony Edwards, who hails from right here in Atlanta, Georgia. Anthony Edwards, by the way, he played football growing up. He's a freak athlete. He's playing basketball. He's 22 years old. Last week, I told you Anthony Edwards is on my top six list of. Damn it. The man is one of the best young players that we have in the NBA right now. Flattened period.

We can take it a step further. You could say the Anthony Edwards and I'd say period. He's the best shooting guard. In the NBA right now.

Yes, there's no doubt about this. He is only 22 years old at this point. I don't think it's out of the I don't think it's wrong to call Anthony Edwards a a prodigy because he is. The only thing slowing him down and thank you to Chris Hine earlier this week from the Star Tribune in Minnesota. I asked him about Anthony Edwards and he said the only other thing for him to do is to wake up.

And be consistent. And I really think having this taste of success, we don't know where the Minnesota Timberwolves season is going to end. But all things considered, Anthony Edwards is going to take a major step. Twenty six points this year, five rebounds, five assists. He's knocking down 35 percent of his threes. He's going to the basket. He is an athletic freak. He can do whatever he wants with the basketball from the mid range to the post. He can shoot from outside. He can cross you up.

He can dunk on you. People are comparing this man. So Michael Jordan.

And there's some facial similarities to the two. And the Internet has started to go wild with the comparisons to MJ saying that, oh, we didn't know that Michael Jordan had an illegitimate son because that's what the Internet does. They say and make up wild things just online.

Well, you know, at some points, perception is reality. And he was asked about this. Yeah. Anthony Edwards was asked about these comparisons to MJ on Good Morning America. And Anthony Edwards, after the question, he's just like, can we stop? Can we show?

Listen to this. Let's talk about Michael Jordan. You're drawing a lot of comparisons to Michael. Do you want them to stop? Yeah, for sure. He's one of one man, the greatest of all time, for sure.

So, yeah, I want them to stop. I think when people talk about you like Michael, they mean it as a compliment because they're looking for something to say. Pay attention. This kid is also great. If you don't want to be compared to Michael Jordan, how do you want to be talked about? As Anthony Edwards. Yeah, like the first Anthony it was not the next Michael Jordan. I want people to be like this Anthony Edwards kid. He got his own style. He maybe got a mix of Michael Jordan in him.

But, you know, I got a little I got a tray ball, my tray ball. I can shoot the three. So I think that makes me a little different than Michael Jordan.

OK. I mean, a couple of things. Let's let's get to the three part. Yeah, that wasn't that three point shots weren't Michael Jordan's thing. And he wasn't some you know, he wasn't Jeff Hornacek out there. He wasn't one of the prices.

That wasn't his thing. But at the same time, they were not shooting threes at the clip like the players are now. And so I'm sure if Michael Jordan were playing in this era, he'd be launching more threes, more than about one and a half a game.

Whereas you have Anthony Edwards, he's taken about seven threes a game. So let's let's slow down outside of that part. I agree with everything that he said.

I love what he said, because there's nothing worse. Than than a comparison, like people want to be original. You want to be you. You don't want to be somebody else like you can look at the goals and what they achieved. And yeah, who wouldn't want to be compared to Michael Jordan? He's 22 years old. It's great.

It's nice. But let him just be Anthony Edwards. That's what I'm looking forward to. And I think the league right now and it goes through phases. Think about some of the stars who are not playing right now in the playoffs. There's no Steph Curry. There's no LeBron James. There's no Kevin Durant. The stars out right now.

Who's having a coming out party? A Jalen Brunson and Anthony Edwards. Like these are these are young stars.

A Shay Gilgas. Alexander like these are the next dudes that are going to be carrying the league. Man, I don't know if it's going to take a year or two more years. Wait until we get postseason basketball.

With Victor Wimbenyama. Like Hickey, you can never tell how these things are going to go. You can have an injury.

It can derail your career. Things could be over. But the league with the stars like I am here for it. If for the next 10 years, we're looking at Wimbenyama and Anthony Edwards, I'd be good on that. Oh, my goodness gracious. This is like the league is in a tremendous spot, a tremendous spot as LeBron starts to obviously dwindle down and his days are numbered.

They're in a great spot. I mean, what? Pick up where he left off, right?

Yeah. Victor Wimbenyama is 20 years old. Like he's he's going. We talked about this the other day and it's it's freakish how you can look at LeBron, who is going to be 40 later on this year. And he's still performing at such a ridiculous rate.

Twenty five, five and five, twenty seven, five and five, twenty eight, five and five, twenty eight, eight and eight. His numbers are stupid. And then you get a Victor Wimbenyama in here and it's just like, well, can he improve? Like what the hell else can can Anthony Edwards do? Jump higher? I don't think so. He's going to improve as a shooter. Yeah, I guess he can do that.

It's crazy. I told you, Antonio Daniels joined us earlier on in the show and I asked him specifically, like, why does he love Anthony Edwards? What impresses him the most?

And this is what he had to say. What's impressed me about him is the same thing that's always impressed me about him. It's not the physical attributes. It's not the skill set. It's the mindset. It's the mentality, because in today's generation of NBA athletes, there's a there's a I guess a low management mentality that comes along with it.

And it's very rare to find that guy that wants to go out and compete every night. And the thing is, that is contagious. When it's your best player, it's contagious. What they have going in Minnesota is only going because of Anthony Edwards. If Anthony Edwards isn't on board, no one else is on board. The fact that he has that mentality, that almost 1990s mentality to go out and compete. And as he says, and I quote, to kill everything in front of me, that's contagious.

That's why and how culture is being built in Minnesota. I'm here for it, man. I'm here for it.

I want all the new stars. And I mean, even in the case of somebody, he's in the process of beating this man right now. And Nikola Jokic, he might go up 3-0 against Jokic in the Nuggets. Like Jokic, I think is peaked. Is he going to come back next year and almost have a triple double? I'm sure his numbers will be similar for the next several years. He might pick up another championship.

I'm not doubting any of that. But in regards to his. Here he is. Jokic. Nobody's looking at him. He's doing commercials about, I don't know, and selling hotels. And he's not he's not marketable like that. He's not exciting people. He's busting your ass. But he's not not he's not Anthony Edwards.

He's not an alien. He's not Victor when Benyama is Jokic. And so I mean, some of these conversations that we're having right now, they're here today.

But I think it's of the future. It's it's Anthony Edwards and it's it's when Benyama. And speaking of Jokic, never in my life did I think Nikola Jokic would be the launching point of a beef between Shaquille O'Neal and Shannon Sharpe. I had to I had to go.

Am I what am I looking at? If you're unfamiliar. Earlier this week, when Nikola Jokic won MVP, he did his interview on TNT with with Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson and Shaq. And I want you to hear this as a reminder. Shaquille O'Neal told Nikola Jokic, hey, I would not have given you MVP. Remember Joker as the president of the big man alliance. You are the vice president of the big man alliance.

You know, I love you. The best player in the league. I want to congratulate you, but I want you to hear from me first. I thought the SGA should have been the MVP. There's no disrespect to you, but congratulations.

And what do you guys have to do to get back on track versus Minnesota? Thank you, Shaq. We don't judge people here, you know, so that's fine. It's your opinion. I'm joking. All good. I love you. I love your brothers.

One thing we always going to do is keep it real with each other. Congratulations. OK. A lot of people felt like, hey, Shaq, why are you why are you hating on this man in this moment right there? It's not about you.

Just congratulate the man. You don't got to put it in your opinion. Somebody who felt the way was Shannon Sharp. Shannon Sharp was on his Nightcap show. I think it was with Ocho Cinco and Shannon Sharp pretty much said that Shaq is jealous.

Listen with his athleticism. Yeah, that was as dominant as him. Shaq should have five MVP.

He sees a guy like Nicole Yochit. That's not as dominant as him and gets three and four years. But see, when you historically great, they talk about you as great basketball player. You go and Shaq is never brought up.

And I think a part of him is envious of that. Whoa. Well, Shaquille O'Neal went on. I don't want to say a little bit of a rant.

Basically went online on Instagram. Shaq said, I have time today. He says that you will do anything to get clicks. Here's some click bait for you. He says you're not ranked top 10 in your profession. Then you can't speak on me. I don't forget.

I know how I know what you did to get where you're at. I don't know what that sounds like. Shaq says jealous.

It sounds like you're jealous. And he says, I know you're trying to stay relevant by gossiping on your podcast. And then Shaq proceeded to give his his accolades and accomplishments. Four rings, three finals MVPs, top 50, top 75.

Google me. Shaq then says, with all this new success you have, you are still under me. You don't know my work ethic. But according to you, I work less than you. But I'm worth more than you. Make it make sense. I love you, too.

If you need help making money, it's better ways than gossiping. That Shaq to Shannon Sharpe. Shannon Sharpe to his credit. Shannon Sharpe responded on his own show, and Shannon Sharpe basically said, well, yes, Shaq, you're correct. I will readily admit that guys like Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez, like Shannon Sharpe wasn't trying to fight with him. Shannon Sharpe admitted.

He's like, yeah, in your profession, you were better than me, then I wasn't at mine. And I'm still a Hall of Famer. And he said that Shannon Sharpe don't want no problems. Well, I guess Shaq didn't care. Shaq wants problems because Shaq, I guess, thinks it's 1992. Shaquille O'Neal put out a diss track. Shaq made a record to go at Shannon Sharpe. We are not listening to three minutes of Shaq rapping. And so here's 30 seconds. Hickey, I never have to hear that in my life ever.

Ever. Yeah, I agree. Shaq can't stick to dunking basketballs. I know his time is done, but I don't. I haven't heard of Shaqui DJs, he raps.

I haven't, you know, like in the 90s, man. Shaq then went on social media again and said, hey, for everybody who is a mutual friend between me and Shannon Sharpe. Don't bother messaging me. Because I don't even I don't want to sit down with the guy. Don't bother. Don't waste your time. Wow.

I don't. Hickey, why Shaq so grumpy this week? He's typically a fun loving guy and he's such a nice dude all the time. And now he's. He's beefing publicly, not too old to beef. He did say he's too old for this. What's he doing?

I don't know. I don't know if, like you said, maybe part of it's the divorce and now he's just very sensitive about everything that's going on. But I mean, it's like Shannon Sharpe said anything that's false. I mean, you watch inside the NBA. Shaq says the same thing every week about, you know, how, you know, his greatness and no one can comment, you know, about the type of player he is unless you're at that level. When Kendrick Perkins went at him, basically threw that line at his face. So it's like, I don't know why he's sensitive. I mean, with all that accomplishment, you think you just kind of let a lot of the words just go by. But I mean, he not only chose violence, I mean, he's just going all in. I mean, he's now responded between was it now two or three in a row that he's had without Shannon Sharpe responding. He just keeps on going and going.

Yeah, I don't know. And we also this is we've heard word that the inside or inside the NBA on TNT, we don't know if that show is going to continue on. There's some rumors right now and word that NBC is trying to purchase rights to the NBA to get them back on NBC. And we know the NBA on NBC in the 90s was was iconic, especially during the Jordan era. And if the NBA is going to continue to move on, they're going to they're going to try to take money, try to get as much money as they can.

And it may not be on TNT. So who knows how much longer Shaq is going to be in that position. And yet it's been a rough week for Shaq, his wife, pretty his ex-wife, who's now been remarried. They've been divorced, separated for years now. She said earlier this week she's not sure she ever loved him. Shaq then said, I understand I wouldn't have been in love with me either. Damn. Rough week for Shaq, man.

I want to give him a hug anyway. It's the JR Sport Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We are going to take a break when we come back on the other side. Speaking of rights deals and all this other stuff, making money, I want to fill you in on the NFL because the NFL might have a new home as well.

If you're sick of the NFL on streaming platforms, you're going to hate this one. We'll talk about that. I'll give you an update on what's going on between the Knicks and the Pacers.

And oh, yeah, that's right. Dallas Mavericks. Well, Luca, they played yesterday and, well, Minnesota. They're going to try to keep things rolling against the Nuggets tonight. Maybe they can do what Dallas did and pick up a victory. The Nuggets came. We'll get into it on the other side. It's the JR Sport Reshow.

855-212-4227. This is important. Listen, folks. Wendy's new Cinnabon Pull Apart is here to satisfy your sweet morning cravings. Yeah, satisfy your sweet morning cravings.

Everybody has them. Get your day off to a sweet start with Cinnabon Pull Apart only at participating U.S. Wendy's. The Goodyear 400 is this Sunday at Darlington Racetrack heading into the weekend. Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin are the odds on favorites to win at the track that is too tough to tame.

Larson is coming off of a victory at last week's Advent Health 400. Yeah, I need me a Wendy's Cinnabon Pull Apart. Sounds like a good deal.

Great weekend. Anyway, the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers are going to give people a heart attack. They are. 101 to 100. The New York Knicks currently lead the Pacers about three and a half minutes left in the game. Heart attacks for all. Meanwhile, we are only minutes away from the next game getting underway as the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Denver Nuggets and try to go up three to nothing. Before we went to break, we talked about these comparisons between Anthony Edwards and Michael Jordan. Let him just stop. Let Anthony Edwards be Anthony Edwards.

I agree with what he said. And just let Michael Jordan be Michael Jordan. There's nothing else for MJ to do.

Anthony Edwards is great. Let's see what he can do. Maybe he wins a championship this year. I mean, can he win that first at 22 years old? Can that be one hell of an accomplishment?

We'll find out sooner rather than later. That game is going to be underway. And knowing that they only got one more game, and if they can go up 3-0, that's a big, big deal. Carl Anthony Towns, he talked about how he's going to try to slow down Nikola Jokic. Be physical. You've seen that at every kind of defense.

You just try to make it as difficult as possible for him to score and make those magical passes that he's usually making. Yeah, well, he said, Coach, Chris Finch, he knows this is not going to be easy. The Nuggets have their backs up against the wall right now.

Chris Finch knows, man, they're going to fight. I mean, I expect their best, you know, their best physical effort, their best mental effort. I expect their best, you know, one of their best efforts of the season. That's an NBA champion over there with a lot of pride, a lot of good players and a great coaching staff we know well. So they're going to keep shuffling the deck till they feel that they come up with something that they can, you know, give to us and they're going to come out of the gate strong.

Oh, absolutely. And that's basically what their head coach Mike Malone said. Excuse me, Michael Malone.

He doesn't like it shortened to Mike. Michael Malone says, Yeah, we're down 0-2. We could go down 0-3. And we got to get together like a team. Things got tough. We just kind of fell apart and kind of separated.

And that's, as we all know, you can't do that. That's when you have to come together, help each other, and support each other. Hey, Hickey, look at the coaches coming through with all the cliches, right?

Now is the time, right? Playoff time, long gap in between games, probably maybe run out of things to say, no bullets or ball of material. So let's just say the generic coach speak. Yeah, generic coach speak.

Sure, yeah. Now let's listen to an idiot. This man got fined $100,000.

That's it. I can't believe it. He only got fined $100,000 for throwing a heating pack onto the court. He shouldn't even be playing tonight. His name is Jamal Murray. He chimed in as well about this Denver Nuggets team, what they need to do, how they can win.

Listen to what this idiot said. Just limiting mistakes and not turning the ball over, giving them easy run outs, just making it harder for them to score than we have been. You know, it's kind of been both ends on the floor.

We haven't been playing great, but I think if we just tune up some things and stay within ourselves, we should be fine. You know, Hickey, I've never had a reason. He's never given me a reason to go, hey, I don't like him. I've been indifferent about Jamal Murray. I think he's a very good player.

I'm surprised, you know, maybe not the West is so deep. There's times he's an All-Star caliber player, can certainly put his game up there. And he's just like, yeah, you know, how do you feel about Jamal Murray? Yeah, borderline All-Star.

He's good. It's a shame now I call a guy an idiot because he is. I don't think you do things like that on accident. You know what I'm saying?

I just like there's certain things that are just in you. And if you're going to behave like that during a basketball game, I don't I don't know. He's just like plenty of people get angry. I mean, just in basketball. I have never seen somebody outside of Dwayne Detman just throw something onto the court.

I don't know. I feel different about the guy. So I agree. I do feel a little bit differently about him.

For me, it's not as much about the actual act of throwing the heating pad and I guess also include the towel throw as well. I didn't like honestly what rubbed me the wrong way more was him in this press conference after practice basically upset that even people are asking about it. Like he's like, any basketball questions? So like, you know, it's in the past. Like this is the first time we're talking to you since you like we've never seen animals do this. You can't also now act like it's nonchalant.

Like, yeah, you know, you see it all the time, whatever. Let's move on. I hate how dismissive he was, which truly showed me not that he was sorry anyway, but true shows, you know, any sort of apology or, you know, I own it. It's not true whatsoever like that.

That does bother me. Like you got to realize what you did and just forget about how petulant was how dangerous it is. So I would never ask for Draymond Green to like beat somebody up. Like in Draymond Green, give him like one swift kick next season. Is that too much to ask for? I was going to say when you said I would never advocate for Draymond Green beating anyone up like, oh, here comes a button.

Yeah. But get get get Jamal Murray, get him. And you know what? Jamal Murray, he's lucky that this is like a different era of the NBA because in any other time and era, there's a good chance, depending on who he threw that heat pack towards and where it landed, there was going to be some fist flying. And so Jamal Murray, I don't want to say lucky, but he's fortunate no one went over there to have a conversation with him that that could have been disastrous. I mean, what is he going to do next? Just roll his marbles onto the court when he's upset? Just just completely just out of line by Jamal Murray. I'm not ever going to look at the guy the same.

Doesn't matter what the hell he does. It's the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. 855-212-4227 is the number. That's 855-212-4227.

The Pacers pick up their first game here in this Eastern Conference semifinal matchup. The Knicks lead 2 to 1. We got a game-breaking three-pointer by Andrew Nembhard who came through, hit his only three of the game. It was a go-ahead three to break the tie, ultimately to give the Pacers the victory. Nembhard was 2 for 8 from the field. He hit the one that mattered at the end of the game.

Even Tyrese Halliburton couldn't believe it. He finished the night with 35 points. Was 6 of 16 from deep. That's a lot of damn threes.

Also, Jaylen Brunson running around on that bumfoot. He scored 26 points. Dante Divacenzo had 35 points.

And the New York Knicks, they lose. It was a little bit of a, I don't want to call it a controversial play. We know Rick Carlisle made a lot of noise about fouls and what the New York Knicks were getting. Hickey, at the end of the game, when Jaylen Brunson went for that game-tying three, kind of slipped between two defenders. I don't know if he was hunting for a foul and that's why the refs didn't give it to him. But, you know, they could have called a foul on Myles Turner.

Or maybe, you know, I got to look at it again. Did Brunson look to be trying to initiate and kind of draw a foul? He was foul hunting. That was terrible.

He may have gotten grazed. If you're the ref, no call, there's a right call. With 16 seconds left down by three, having that basically heave because you're off balance trying to draw a foul when you've not made also bother your foul shots. He's missed a bunch of foul shots tonight. That's awful. Awful offense.

Awful idea. And I'm glad the refs didn't bail him out. Yeah, Jaylen Brunson on the night, four of seven from the free throw line. And so, hey, nothing for Rick Carlotta to complain about tonight. I guess as an overall, if you want to take a look at free throws, not much of a disparity. The Knicks shot 22 free throws of the Pacers.

They shot 18. And there you have the game. Nothing for Rick Carlotta to complain about tonight.

I guess he will be, you know, perfectly fine and perfectly A-OK. So we got one game down. The New York Knicks end up falling to the Pacers, 111 to 106. We are minutes away from the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves from getting underway. And the Timberwolves are playing at home. They have a chance and an opportunity.

The Knicks had one and they lost it. The Minnesota Timberwolves can go up 3-0 in his series against the Nuggets. Yes, I will consider the Nuggets done if Minnesota picks up a victory tonight. Let's see.

I think there's a full expectation for one one big game from some guy named Jokic. Let's see if it comes true. We have had a busy, busy night. And there's a couple of things that I want to do before we roll out of here, especially before we talk to you about a few things that took place this day in sports history.

And part of them might have a little bit of a correlation, maybe, possibly. You know, earlier on in the show. We talked about how the NBA might be back on NBC. Well, the NFL might be on Netflix. You heard that correctly. Not only is Thursday Night Football streaming on Amazon, not only is Amazon looking to get its hands on NBA basketball as well, but Netflix might be streaming the NFL specifically on Christmas. Boomer Esiason, morning show host on WFAN in New York City, former MVP.

Boomer Esiason said that this might be a deal that goes down. Listen. And Netflix has about 20 million subscribers worldwide. Right.

And this is why I believe that Netflix. Are you ready for this? Yeah.

What I think is going to happen could be wrong, but I don't think I am. If the NFL. Oh, boy. And Netflix. Oh, boy. Get in bed. Oh, man.

For a nice little Christmas day. Oh, football game. Wow. Wow. I would not be surprised. Yeah, that's that's been reported in other places, as well as the Sports Business Journal. Hickey, man, these streaming places are just. The fans will still complain, but I think we're past that already. If you're not you got if you want to watch sports, you've got to get one of these services.

That's just what it is. One hundred percent. We're not going the other way. Unfortunately, I wish we were. I was just linear TV.

Here are the four or five channels. And it's easy to go in and out of your heart. I'm so right. It's only going down this rabbit hole. More streaming services are only going to become more pronounced in for every sport.

I mean, NBA negotiation. Same thing now. So, yeah, unfortunately, this is the world we're living in. Get all the apps, folks. Make sure you have a smart TV.

Maybe a few smart TVs, honestly. Now, at this point, because everything is going streaming. Yeah.

Why? I don't. Here's a question. If everything is connected to the Internet and the television or television is also connected to the Internet. At what point in time do we just get like a basic close to television interface?

You understand what I'm saying? Why do I need a Roku or an Apple TV? Like, for instance, and the only reason was because it sucks, but I got I got televisions at home. They connect to the Internet all by themselves.

They can access all of the apps and everything. But I got Roku and Apple, all of this stuff because the interface on the television stinks. Why can't we just have this be a little bit more linear like television? Television worked perfectly. You turn the television on.

There was none of this loading crap. It was on. It was there. You got the feed. You got the signal. I went up. I went down. I could go back. I could flip during commercials. Like they have to figure that out.

That that can't be that difficult to just have the feed running, man. Like it was 2024. Do better.

Couldn't agree more. Like, what are we doing? People are too busy building robots that are going to destroy us.

How about first before you build a killer robot? We just get, like you said, a TV that I can go from Netflix to Peacock to Paramount Plus with one flip of a button. Not having to go in out of this exit out. I sure want to exit. Yes, I'm sure I want to exit and then go scroll to the right.

Oh, there's Paramount Plus. I got a log in. Oh, crap. What's my log in? No, please. Do you want it in English? Do you want it in Spanish? Are you still watching? Yes, I'm still watching.

Do you want to start from the beginning? Do you want to pick it up live? You know, I just want to watch the game.

Do you want the highlights to catch up? No, no. I just want to watch the game the third quarter. Just give it to me. Yeah, it's just too damn complicated. Help.

Damn. Anyway, this is a good this is a good leeway. It is a good segue, too. I miss television. I miss traditional TV without the streaming. I wish I could go back in the time. I wish I could go back in the day. Just like the song says. Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore.

But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again. It's time for This Day in Sports History. You see, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything.

And it was primitive and lousy and we liked it. On the JR Sport Brief Show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. Yeah. Back in the day, I could turn on a television and just watch a game. Damn it.

Anyway, this is not too far ago or too long ago. It was only two years ago that Tom Brady agreed to a 10 year three hundred and seventy five million contract dollar contract with Fox. Tom Brady is going to be the lead analyst on Fox. That starts this year, doesn't it?

It does. It's been, you know, the longest build up to it. But we finally get it after all these years of teasing.

And what happens if he sucks? Fox is in big trouble. Yeah, he's just going to walk away. They're not worried about it.

They probably got a mutual. Hey, Tom Brady, if you get sick inside, just leave. We don't we don't want to keep you here against your will. Anyway, that was twenty twenty two. Go back a little bit further. Damn it.

This is getting further and further away. This day in sports history, May 10th, 2016, Steph Curry was named the first unanimous MVP that we've ever had or seen in NBA history. You know what? Let's take a listen to Steph Curry as he delivered his speech. I looked at the list of everybody who's won an MVP before.

The legends, guys that their name or household names and they jump off the page. And to be the first unanimous MVP award winner is something that I don't even know how to put in the words. I've been you know, guys have been thanking me all day and I I don't really know what to say.

It's just a huge honor, something that obviously I remember for the rest of my life. Yeah, good for him. Unfortunately for him, in 2016, he won MVP and then the Warriors lost in seven games to those Cleveland Cavaliers.

He can't win at all. Right. And Steph Curry's still going strong, even though Klay Thompson might lead.

Draymond Green is a wild card. They've they've seen better days. Dynasty is probably probably done.

I would say so. Listen, folks, it's been an amazing week. Damn it. We got basketball. We got football. I mean, damn it. We had players in rookie camp today. Nick's just lost. Denver and Minnesota are underway.

Hickey, I told you I want this story. I need the Minnesota Timberwolves. Not that I really care, but I need them to win the championship.

So they could have a massive legal fight about ownership of the team. I need it. I need it. Price has gone up a ride. I hope you're saving those bucks. Well, you know, you got to borrow the money. That's what he needs to do. Begged some of those banks for money so he can go out there and buy the team.

Oh, yeah. By the way, Charles Oakley said, hey, I don't care what legends are going to Madison Square Garden. If James Dolan doesn't apologize for walking me out of the garden, what, 2016, 2017? Charles Oakley said, I ain't going. He has an open lawsuit against Dolan in the garden for defaming him and all this other stuff.

Putting him in handcuffs and walking him out of MSG. He doesn't expect an apology to come. They said that their lawyers invited him. And he's like, no, unless you figure out the lawsuit, I ain't coming.

Charles Oakley, a man's man, right? They also said, hey, we'll retire your jersey. He said, no, no, thank you.
