I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. I don't know where you at, but I'm glad that you're tuning in. Shout outs to everybody listening on their local CBS Sports Radio affiliate. People listening on the free Odyssey app, A-U-D-A-C-Y. Sirius XM Channel 158. People on smart speakers. People in San Diego and Las Vegas and Toronto and Houston and Dallas and Portland and Atlanta and New York where super producer and host Dave Shepherd is at. People in Virginia and Tennessee.

It's all over the damn place. Thank you for tuning in. I'm going to be hanging out with you for two more hours.

If you missed the last two hours, you've missed a lot. Talked about the college football playoff rankings. Georgia, Michigan, Washington, Florida State. That's where we're sitting right now.

And let's get through the championship games, conference championship games and see where we land. Thank you so much to Brandon Marcello for joining us from 24-7 Sports to break it all down. We talked about David Tepper gave I guess he gave an explanation about firing Frank Reich. I guess he did it. He also said that he was behind the coaches and the GM and everybody wanted to bring in Bryce Young. He supported it and he still supports Bryce Young now.

Good luck on that one. And so we went from one billionaire to another. Mark Cuban selling a majority stake of the Dallas Mavericks to a casino family.

The family who owns the Phoenician, the Palazzo. And he's going to maintain running basketball operations for the Mavericks. And he's also looking to get into the casino business when gambling becomes legalized out in the Metroplex. And then, you know, one of our callers said, watch Mark Cuban run for president. And I said, OK, good.

Let him see what he does. I don't know. Anybody can run for president nowadays. And then we got a bunch of callers on the line. We heard from Draymond Green.

No regrets in choking out another human being. As I talk right now, actually, NBA in-season tournament, stupid name, is still going on right now. Golden State Warriors beating Sacramento right now.

Ninety six eighty two in the third quarter. So let's see what happens. I guess all the players will some more than others can use the extra half million dollars.

I mean, who's who's turning down money? Eight five five two one two four. CBS is the number I'm going to get to your calls as we continue on here with the show. I do want to get into some more football. We haven't really talked any NFL tonight outside of a few injuries. I know that Jonathan Taylor is hurt.

It's pretty bad. We talked about the return of Tiger Woods. I want to talk about the Chiefs, the Ravens. I want to talk about Bobby Petrino back to Arkansas.

Yes, you heard me correct. I want to talk about baseball. Going back to Oakland. Yeah, the A's are still leaving. But there's another team coming in.

You've never heard of them, so don't worry about it. But let's get to some of your calls. The line's been jumping.

Let's get people on eight five five two one two four CBS. Let's talk to Todd. Todd is calling from Maryland. You're on the JR sport reshow. Hey, JR. How's it going? I'm chilling, man. What's up?

I'm chilling too, man. I was, you know, you played that interview by Draymond and how he was talking about. He just prided himself on being a great teammate, you know, and he gonna stand up. Was he being a great teammate when he punched the heck out of Jordan Poole?

I mean, come on. When I was playing sports, right? A great teammate was always on the floor because that's what they do.

They play. Draymond checks out at the drop of a dime. 18 ejections. He's been around since 2012. So he's been around about 10 years.

18 ejections and five career suspensions. Yeah, I mean, it seems like if Steph don't play, he don't want to play neither. Yeah, well, you've been listening to Rudy Gobert. Yeah, he's, you know, I guess he supports Steph on the side. We gonna sit together, Steph, me and you. Well, Draymond Green was actually and thank you, Todd, for calling from Maryland.

Appreciate you. Draymond Green was actually asked about those comments made by Rudy Gobert that, hey, when Steph don't want to play or Steph can't play, Draymond doesn't play either. Draymond Green said he had no comment.

That's it. And Draymond Green, he has admitted to hurting the team. Let's let's not forget when the Golden State Warriors were eliminated last season from the playoff playoffs. Draymond Green said, oh, yeah, the vibe and energy was off and it was my fault and it just had bad energy around the team since I punched my teammate. And oh, yeah. And so he can run around and tell everybody, I don't regret nothing.

I ain't gonna change nothing. He apologizes to the team at the same time. So Draymond is just talking out of both sides of his mouth right now.

I'll tell you this, unless the Warriors have some type of changes and they win another championship, not with this group. Klay Thompson playing like complete ass and it may take him some time to get warmed up and Chris Paul had to leave tonight's game. He had to walk off with an injury.

So like this, this teammate winning no damn title. Not a Draymond Green choking and kicking people in the nuts again. Chris Paul out lower left leg soreness.

And that's how I feel every morning that I get up. So I understand Chris Paul and I are running up and down the court as he is now 38 years old. Chris Paul will be 39 May of next year. Yeah, it's a lot of a lot of soreness in the leg.

You've been running around playing basketball your whole damn life. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS is 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS Ramon is calling from Indianapolis. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, how you doing, JR? Thanks a great call. I hope everything is OK for you. Had a good holiday weekend with your family and things like that.

Real brief here. Tiger for us. I'm a golfer who got older now and I've had back problems working out hard and just the twisting of the swing in the club.

We're not supposed to turn. I think like that. I just hope that he just can get back to just playing and making a cut. One thing about it is no, he probably won't catch at 18, but it's awful shame that I've tried. I tried this year. I try to watch some of those tournaments. It's very, very dry. I think a lot of those golfers don't understand that it is sport tainment sports and entertainment. And they have no charisma.

They're like mannequins. You got a few that may have a little bit for the most part. The glory days of Phil, Ernie, Vijay, Tiger, Padre and a few others through there. A few others.

It's a shame it's gone. It's like they got people want to complain about basketball players and football players salaries. Well, these golfers make pretty good money. And I think the fact that a lot of them are have pretty good checks.

I don't see the killer instinct in them. Tiger won 10 tournaments one year. Vijay during the Tiger era won 10 tournaments in one year. I remember many other guys slipped in there in one title. The guy from the one, the PGA, Garcia, Sergio and stuff.

So I just hope he gets back to playing okay. They just a real, real dry guy. It's hard for me to watch. Yeah.

Well, I mean, look, the majority of the time, thank you Ramon for calling from Indianapolis. The most most of the time we talk about golf. It revolves or involves Tiger Woods. I mean, personality driven. He's an icon. What are we talking about golf any otherwise for?

We won't live. And that's it. Right. That's the business of it. This I mean, look, golf, you got to play golf for the most part to be interested in golf. There are very few people that I know that say, hey, what you gonna do this week? I'm just gonna sit down and watch golf unless it's something that you've participated in in some type of way. You know, you're more liable to lay down on the couch and watch golf and fall asleep.

That's just the reality. And I tell him no lies there. Good for Tiger. I hope he hope his ankle holds up. You know, matter of fact, let's listen to Tiger Woods again. Tiger Woods was asked, you know, how are you feeling? And this is what Tiger Woods had to say about the injury and all that stuff.

Listen. I love competing. I love playing. I miss being out here with the guys.

I miss the camaraderie and the fraternities like atmosphere out here and the overall banter. But what drives me is I love to compete. There will come a point in time I haven't come around to it fully yet that I won't be able to win again. When that day comes and I'll walk. But I did. Well, now I can walk. I won't say run away, but I'm gonna walk away.

So you being here assumes you think you can still win out here? Absolutely. This is nuts. He's one year older than Tom Brady. He is one year older than Tom Brady. And yeah, he ain't playing football and his ACL ain't get popped. But man, this man's body been through hell through all these accidents. It's probably also traumatizing to get chased out of your house with a golf club and hit a fire hydrant.

That's some real trauma. Eight five five two one two four CBS eight five five two one two four CBS. Kevin is calling from Louisville in Kentucky.

You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Kevin? Hey, how are you doing, my friend? How was things given to you? You made brisket for Thanksgiving.

No, I actually fixed the turkey and I fixed the breast and all the fat at all. Lovely. Have you had a good one? What's up? Yeah.

Did you have a go? Yeah, man, I got no complaints. You guys were funny a while ago. I'm still laughing and everything. But anyway, what are you talking about?

I saw a wrench in. Okay. So if Louisville beats Florida State, what happens then? Man, they ain't getting in no damn college football playoffs. Stop it.

I know we ain't. But it's Florida State, Alan. I would assume so for losing to Louisville. Yeah. I mean, at that point, I guess we'd have to see what happens between Washington and Oregon. Well, and then there's also Alabama.

I mean, there's a lot of there's a lot of what ifs here, you know, Rick, Alabama. I told Scott the other night. Whoa. The shop that I hear something wrong. I don't think so. Right. It's something wrong. No. Did Kevin say something wrong? Was it me?

I don't think either of you said something wrong there. No way. Okay, good.

Let's bring them back. Hey, Kevin, you're on CBS Sports Radio. Go ahead. Well, Alabama barely won and Scotty's Eagles barely won. So we got played them this week in Sunday night or Sunday afternoon.

I'm sorry, Sunday afternoon, 4 or 5. So I go, well, you need a point. I said, dude, you're home. Come on, man. Come on, man. He goes, well, your Niners are projected to win.

I'm like, well, yeah, but we got to beat the Eagles. Who are you talking to? You had a conversation with who? My friend at work. Oh, your friend. Oh, I didn't know who you were talking about. He's Eagles and Alabama.

Eagles and Alabama. Okay. I was confused.

His name is Scotty? I'm sorry, JR. I just, I hate the Eagles. I'm a Niners fan. I'm a Louisville fan, first of all.

And then, Alabama. I'm like, Scotty, you might as well bet that parlay. Get it. Get it. Okay. Well, thank you, Kevin, for clarifying who Scotty is.

I didn't know who you were talking about. I love you, JR. I love you too, Kevin.

Let's all love a fair. Thank you for calling from Louisville. Okay. Talk to you soon. Okay. Yeah, you like Scotty? I said, who? I don't know no Scotty. Here's Scotty Scheffler. There's Scotty Pippen. You know any other Scottys, Shep?

No? Yeah, I didn't know any other Scottys. I'm on the phone with a bunch of things. Say it one more time, JR. Do you know any other Scottys? When you said Scotty, I'm thinking he's like talking about Scotty Pharrell from like five years ago. Yeah, that's what I thought, Scotty.

Yeah. And so, Kevin, I felt like was having a different conversation than what you were having with him. And so, I think he was confusing everybody in that instance. But his friend is Scotty. His coworker's name is Scotty.

Right, which I think he accepted and assumed you knew. Yeah, I know all his coworkers because we all used to work together. I don't know what Kevin from Louisville does. I know he makes brisket. And that's where we went wrong. Not you, but I think that's where the conversation went wrong.

He felt like because you knew that intimate detail about him, you must have then known everything else about him. He tells me he makes brisket when he calls. That's right. And he's a 49ers follower too.

Yeah. And oh yeah, he invites me over to the house. One day I'm going to go to Louisville. I'm going to eat at his house, I am. Hope he got some beer ready for me.

I want a double. 855-212-4CBS. Jeff is here from Oceanside. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Jeff? How you doing, JR? I'm good. You okay? Yeah, I'm doing well.

I just got a raspy voice, man. Hey, do me a favor. Go arr. Arr. Thank you, Jeff. Go ahead, bro. What's up? You're welcome, JR. You are the Denzel Washington of radio.

Yeah, we grew up in the same area. Well, thank you. Alright, man. I feel it.

I hear it. Anyway, I wanted to know something. If you had 6 million bucks, 6 billion, excuse me, 6 billion bucks, what would you be doing with it, man? What would JR do with 6 billion dollars? I mean, how many people, I don't know. How many people are realistically running around with 6 billion in like liquid cash?

Like, come on now. Not many. That's why I'm asking you what you would do.

I don't know. I'd probably try to take some people off the street, give them some food, invest. You know, that's just normal rich people stuff.

I don't like people living on the streets. I'd do something about that. You're a good man, JR. I appreciate you. Thank you for taking my call. No, don't put me on a soapbox.

Thank you, Jeff, for calling from Oceanside. That's a great answer, by the way. I think for so many people, it'd be like, buy my mom and dad a house, buy an island, invest in a company, own a resort.

I mean, that's a thing. I did say I'd invest the money, you know. No, you said you'd get people off the street. And the reality is, I don't know if people are experiencing this themselves, but now more than ever, there's more homelessness in our country than ever before.

Bruh. I ain't never lived on the street, but there have been times I've been close. There ain't a damn thing fun about living out on the street. And it is, man, that's why I said don't put me on a soapbox. It is so bad that people, let me put it this way. There's so much money in people being down and out that it is so hard for people to get back on their feet, which is just deplorable. Right. But that's a different conversation.

But JR, but people, but here's the thing about that. It's hard enough when you get knocked down by life, you get let go of a job prematurely, unfairly, whatever the case may be, and you just don't have the money to take care of everything in your life, whether that be kids, whether that be a mortgage. Oh, it's an avalanche, bruh.

Yeah, 100%. It's terrible. But then you go down an avalanche and it's just terrible to climb back up. But if that's not hard enough, to be living on a street and to have to see people fully dressed, walking over you every day, knowing that you have to freeze your ass off, not even knowing that once you close your eyes, there may be someone coming after you in your sleep, there may be an animal coming after you, you may freeze to death. Like, that's a serious situation in our country.

And it's not a pretty conversation that a lot of people want to have, unfortunately. We need to do a swap. Like, we need to put OJ Simpson out on the street and then put somebody else in his house. And then we need to take... Well, can we keep OJ in his house and also, so he doesn't bother anybody, and also put a lot of people in his house, too? Can that be a nice compromise?

Ah, yeah, we can swap out. Where's Lance Armstrong right now? Well, let me tell you something. Lance Armstrong, say what you want about him, JR. I know he's a monster.

Live strong? But you know exactly where I was going with this. Yeah, don't care. Don't matter.

Doesn't matter. He can live out on the street now today, too. Everybody been living strong without his ass, so he can go live outside, too. What about Oscar Pistorius?

I heard he just got out, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did they... Here we go. Let me... I won't say what I... I will not say. Yeah, a lot of people wish they had his jury. Let's put it that way.

I won't say it. Um... Yeah. So, is he out already? I believe so. I know he's now on probation, so I can't see why he's not out. Where is he?

Is that in South Africa, right? Yeah, he was... Yeah, absolutely. I won't say it. I will avoid all... Accidentally killed... Yep.

No, he ain't accidentally killed nobody. All right, anyway, the Blade Runner. I know all about him. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on CBS Sports Radio. You know, let's get in one more before we get to break, and then I do want to talk about some AFC football. We got Ike here in Indianapolis. You're on CBS Sports Radio.

How you doing this evening? As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't vote Jeremiah Green in the Hall of Fame if I had to vote. He was lucky he played with the Splash Brothers. That's the only notoriety he had, because he played with them. He didn't have nothing to do with them winning.

He just happened to be on them teams. Okay, well, thank you for sharing, Ike. Appreciate you. One more thing before you go.

What is it? I would vote for Dave, for President, and y'all need to give him a raise today. Well, thank you, Ike.

If we have something to do about it, I think we'd do it. Thank you very much. You have a good afternoon or a good evening. Whatever the timeframe is, where you at?

I'm in Atlanta. We in the same thing, bruh. Oh, okay.

We gonna need some time, though. Last I check. Thank you, Ike. Right on, my brother. Right on. Okay. Raise for Shep in presidency.

Yeah, I have a feeling that's coming. Well, you put it in the atmosphere, right? Thanks for having me. Thanks for having the vote at the conference. I'd love to be pushing it out of here, JR. You're welcome. It came from the mouth of Ike.

There you go. Reverend Ike. We like Ike.

Last dude I know named Ike wasn't all that popular. Anyway, it's the JR Sportbreeze Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio 855-2124 CBS. That's 855-2124 CBS. Hey, speaking of a raise, this man just got invited back. Bobby Petrino is returning to Arkansas?

What? I'm gonna explain on the other side here on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze on CBS Sports Radio. I love the show, especially with African-American representation.

Keep doing your thing, bro. I love the show. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. Everybody gets a second chance, right? Well, at least you get some type of another opportunity, I think. This news came down the pipe today, and I had to go, did I just read this correctly? And it involves Bobby Petrino, the former head coach of the Razorbacks, Arkansas. It's been reported that he is on his way back in a different capacity, in a different role. A matter of fact, I want you to hear what was breaking news earlier today, courtesy of Channel 5 News out in Arkansas.

Listen to this. This has been crazy. Just four days after the season ended, the Arkansas football program making an unthinkable splash. Rehiring Petrino to be the team's next offensive coordinator, a move I can confidently say no one, especially myself, saw coming.

But a move that vows to get this Arkansas offense back on track in 2024. This is the same. Let me remind you, OK. This is the same Bobby Petrino, who about 10 years ago was just riding around on his motorcycle. Crashed his motorcycle.

Pretty much said I was the only dude on a motorcycle. Didn't say that he had a female staffer, a former athlete, I think volleyball, on the motorcycle with him. And then pretty much fessed up to it when it was a little too late.

Oh, yeah. By the way, he was having an inappropriate relationship with this woman because he was married at the time. And then he was giving this woman gifts and then he was a complete liar. And so now he's likely back as the offensive coordinator. And when he got the boot.

Eleven, twelve years ago, ten, eleven years ago. Often or not the offensive, the school athletic director at the time pretty much had to say this about Bobby Petrino tune in. This afternoon, I'm informed Coach Petrino that his employment with the university was being terminated immediately. Coach Petrino engaged in a pattern of misleading and manipulative behavior designed to deceive me and members of the athletic staff both before and after the motorcycle accident. And that was Jeff Long. And so now Jeff Long ain't there. And now it appears that Bobby Petrino is going to come back to run the offense. And I hope he learns his lesson.

He's going to be coming over from Texas A&M. And no motorcycles, please. Also, no inappropriate relationships, please. No gifting of money to women.

I like don't do that. I would think at 62 years old, he's learned his lesson. And then also, please, no, no press conferences and a neck brace like his reputation is just mud.

Like everybody here in Atlanta and my apologies to everybody listening on 90 to 90 game. There are no fond memories of Mr. Petrino. He's basically a quitter. He's a liar. But people change, right? He's 62 years old.

He's been able to stay out of trouble as far as I know recently. And now he has an opportunity to just step back into Arkansas, not as the head coach, but as the the offensive coordinator. Yeah. This is a team that just went four and seven. How much worse can it be? 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. What is Draymond? The hell is he doing? Shep, did Draymond Green, did I see that correct? Did he just get a technical foul? Oh, my God.

I don't have it on right now, believe it or not. I'm kind of sick of Draymond Green. Steph Curry is telling him to just relax. Yeah, he's telling her, I think he told the referee double dribble or something like that, travel. Yeah, Draymond Green got attack. What a shot.

In his first game back, Golden State Warriors leading 107. And they need to win by at least 12. Right.

And they're not up by 12 right now. To get into the, what is this thing called? To advance, yeah. The knockout round.

Knockout round of the play, what is this thing called again? NBA in-season tournament. In-season tournament. Are they going to change the name next year?

They need to because you're a pretty smart guy and this is even, you know, I don't want to say confusing for you, but it doesn't roll off the tip of your tongue. In-season tournament, play-in tournament. Right.

And how did they make up these groups? I don't know. I don't know. All I know is, JR, you talked about this a while ago, this is Adam Silver's baby. This is something he adopted from the Premier League and he thinks this is going to spice up a rather boring November and December in the NBA. I think it has. It has. People are talking about it. They're paying attention.

But you know what they got to do, JR? It's too spread out. It's too spread out. It doesn't have momentum.

Tuesday and Friday? Yeah. Yeah. It's too spread out. Like, make it a two to three week thing where those are the only type of environments that you're playing in.

But to have it, you know, on and off and on and off and on and off, it just, it loses momentum when it should pick up steam. That's, I mean, I don't want to say that's the format that you get in European football, but you know, you only got a couple of days out the week that you go ahead and have Champions League. I know it's different, all the leagues get together and play, but I'm not mad at it. I just, I don't understand how the groups were selected.

And some of the courts are just a little too ridiculous. I forgot who played earlier. It was the Miami Heat. Their court is all red. I felt like my eyes were going to explode.

It's pretty miserable. Well, Golden State Warriors don't look like they're going to win this in-season tournament. And I mean, if they keep playing like a bunch of old dudes, Chris Paul hobbling around in the back, don't look like they're going to win anything this season anyway, not that they were favored to do so. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. I told you Bobby Petrino is back. And it also appears that baseball already will be back in Oakland.

I will explain on the other side of the break. I'm going to get into the Chiefs, talk about the Ravens. We'll take a look at what the hell is going on here in Golden State. Maybe Draymond Green will choke somebody out. Josh Dobbs, he may be sat down.

We've got so much more to do. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. I do think you're one of the best people in radio right now, hands down. I've heard everybody. You got the gift.

And I appreciate your intelligence and your honesty. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here on CBS Sports Radio. 855-212-4CBS is the number in Golden State Warriors. I mean, they're just trying to win a game now at this point. Forget this NBA in-season tournament.

There's just too much going on here. Golden State currently leads 116 to 114. If they wanted to advance past group play to get into the knockout stage, they would have had to have beaten Sacramento here by 12 points. That doesn't appear to be the case because this game is going down to the wire. About four and a half minutes left in this game. At one point, Golden State led by 24 points. Yeah, that's double 12. They're going to have to go on one hell of a streak to do that, so they can probably kiss the chance and the opportunity to move on to group play or elimination play, elimination stage.

They could probably kiss that goodbye. 855-212-4CBS. Kelly calling from Michigan. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, JR.

Thanks for taking my call. Sure. What's up? Hey, I don't know. Can you explain to me what this tournament's about and if you win it, who benefits, or what do they get?

I mean, do they get a participation trophy? I don't understand what this is. Okay. So Adam Silver has wanted to, the commissioners, wanted to create a tournament for years to kind of just make things a little different here in the NBA season, mostly to drive interest and to drive money. I mean, this is a business, right?

You have business, you try to add a new product so you can make money. That's pretty much the overall. And so this is the first season of the tournament. Every team is participating in this in-season tournament, and they have half a million dollars on the line for the winning team. And that means every player and the coaches get a share of money as well.

And so there is a financial incentive. And so what they've done, and they've built this into the regular season, there's no additional games. Every game here counts towards the regular season. The only additional game would be the championship game, which would only be played amongst two teams. And they go to Vegas and they compete for this money. And so every team has been randomly thrown into different groups.

I think there are five different groups. And then the top teams advance to the knockout stage, plus two wildcards. And so they play each other, and so they whittle it down to two, and then they go to Vegas and play for the money. And that's pretty much the in-season tournament for dummies.

Okay. Well, thanks for explaining that to me, because I had no idea. I guess they're playing for money for the players and the coaches then? For themselves, yeah. I mean, you've got guys in the league. Some dudes are making, you know, $60 million a year. You've got superstars. And then you have dudes who are just trying to stick onto rosters. So, you know, half a million dollars for some guys ain't going to make too much of a difference. And then you've got half a million dollars for some other guys. That could be life-changing money, you know? Oh, yeah, for sure.

Hey, can I ask you one question about my distance? Yeah, they suck. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, what do you think they need to do? I mean, it's tough when you're paying Monty Williams, what is he, the highest paid coach in the league right now? Yeah.

I don't know if you can't get rid of him. I know Cade Cunningham is struggling. It's tough to say what they need to do. Eventually, they're probably going to have to flip some veterans onto the team. They probably have to do that sooner than they would want to. But we got a whole season in front of us. It's just sad that they ain't going nowhere.

They're bad, man. It's going to take veterans to turn that team around. They're going to have to flip some of them young guys. That's what I think also.

Between Cade and Ivy and Durin and some of the other young talent they have, you'd think they'd be better. But around here on the local station, they're talking about getting rid of Weaver. Who? The GM. Oh. I'm like, who? I don't know who that is. Yeah. He's picked some good players.

I don't know. For some reason, they're not gelling and playing well. We do have good draft picks, but they're just not playing well. Well, the team is stacked with guards. That's one thing.

I don't know how the hell you're going to play all of them. And typically, not everybody's going to be young and gel over seasons like the team I'm watching in front of me now, the Golden State Warriors. Thank you for taking my call, Jarrick. Good luck to your Pistons, man.

They suck. I'm sorry. All right. Thanks, brother.

Thank you, Kelly, for calling for me. He's like, Wheeler? I'm like, man, I didn't even know the GM's name was Wheeler. I didn't know that. Shep, did you know the GM's name was Wheeler?

Not a chance. On the Pistons? I thought I knew the... I got to look up the GM before that. Well, Dumars was the president of basketball operations there for a while, then he got the boot. Yeah, but he works for the league now. Yeah, he's the one who suspended Draymond Green, exactly. He's the boss. He is the boss besides for Adam Silver, correct. Wow, yeah, man.

I mean, like we said, J.R., all the time, if a tree falls and no one's around to hear it, doesn't make a noise. Like the Detroit Pistons, unfortunately, have been the pits of the NBA for the past 10 years. What are they now? 10, was it 10 or 12 straight losses now?

I mean, it might be 14 at this point. Like they thought that they had all this talent with all these number one and number two overall picks, and they suck. And they thought Monty Williams was going to be the difference. The irony is Monty Williams was at his worst when he was dealing with the number one overall pick in DeAndre Ayton. I don't know why they thought he would work his magic in Detroit. Well, how many point guards can you play on the floor at one time? Right, I mean, apparently, you know, if you're the Pistons, three or four, but we see how that's working out.

Yeah, they got to start flipping dudes. And unfortunately, speaking of point guards, LaMelo Ball is out again. Well, he makes, I mean, he's AC Green compared to his brother.

Well, I mean, is there something he didn't give his kids milk growing up? Like what's going on with them bones, man? Yeah, it's not a good year for the big baller brand. LaMelo broke, and this is not a joke, the man broke his own ankle on a crossover last year. And now he falls on somebody's foot this year, and now he's going to be out a few weeks.

All the best to LaMelo Ball. And then speaking of injuries on the NFL side, I don't know if you heard this today, Jonathan Taylor, he's going to be missing time having surgery on his hand out in Los Angeles. And, you know, now the Indianapolis Colts have to deal with this.

And I got to give them credit. The Colts, I expected them to stink like ass this year, especially with Anthony Richardson going down. You got a rookie throwing in Gardner Minshew, but they're sticking around, man. And now Jonathan Taylor, he's going to try to be back in a few weeks. And their offensive coordinator, actually, Jim Bob Cooter, he was asked about the injury to Taylor's hand, and we know Taylor just got that big contract. And Jim Bob Cooter didn't want to say nothing. He's like, man, we got Zach Moss and a bunch of other guys.

Listen to him. I will say that the running back room you guys asked me last week, those guys have been playing really good ball. Zach Moss has played really good ball. JT's been playing really good ball. So, you know, it's good to have guys playing good, and I'm going to defer all injury things until tomorrow. Somebody told Jim Bob Cooter to slow down on the caffeine, man. Jonathan Taylor just got that new deal paying him $14 million per.

And I know Jim Irsay's just like, man, this is why I didn't want to pay your ass, because you running backs get hurt. 855-212-4CBS, Schmeckel is calling from North Carolina. Please, go ahead. Yo, what's popping, JR? How you chilling? I'm good.

Go ahead, please. We're up against the break. Don't want to cut you off. Yeah, I just want to talk about Mark Cuban selling the majority share of the match. First of all, I wanted to know if you have any, like, details of what's going on over there, if you know why he did it. You know, three years ago he said he's never going to sell a team. Somebody's got to be up with him, you know.

He just pulled out of Sharpings also. I want to know what you think, you know, all the, you know, like this new ownership group. They're, like, owning a lot of casinos in Vegas.

If you think, like, the match stadium is going to turn into, like, their new, like, Vegas. I'm not going to go that far. Well, let me, you sound like a pretty astute individual.

You got the Odyssey app, right? Of course. Okay. What I need you to do, and I'm not being flippant here, I'm being serious. We had talked about this, a caller asked about Mark Cuban about an hour and 20 minutes ago.

And you're in North Carolina. If you go back to about 1125 on an Odyssey app and listen for 15 minutes, you're going to enjoy it, okay? Oh, he spoke about it already. We had a caller who said that Mark Cuban is plotting for president, and then myself, Shep, and Marco Belletti proceeded to enjoy ourselves for 15 minutes, okay? Oh, yeah, that guy's a complete imbecile. He's running for president now. Who's an imbecile? Marco Belletti? No, the caller.

Oh, not necessarily. He talked about it a few years ago, Schmechel. Hey, go listen to it on our Odyssey app. We got 15 minutes of opinion right there, okay? I'll go back and listen to it, but I wanted to ask you, do you think that the Mavs are a contender? And do you think the Rangers are going to get a show late in time?

Do you think the Panthers should have drafted CJ? Well, hold on a second. Hold on.

I feel like I'm at the end of one of those shows where they go, come back next week. Is Pete Rose going to get in the Hall of Fame? Is who? Is Pete Rose going to get in the Hall of Fame? Is Pete Rose getting in the Hall of Fame? Is Alex Rodriguez getting back with Jennifer Lopez?

Tune in. It's like the end of a novella. Hey, Schmechel, you like novellas?

Schmechel, he doesn't like novellas. It's okay. Dan, do I think Otani's going to go to the Rangers? I don't know. Shohei Otani and I, you know, we stopped being friends a couple weeks ago.

We realized that there wasn't too much for us to talk about. Shep, what was his other question? I forgot. The Rangers-Otani, he asked you that.

Another Texas question. It was something else that we talked about as well in the show. Well, it was the Mavs making the playoffs, yeah. Yes, the Mavs will make the playoffs and lose.

I mean, there you go. Unless Kyrie Irving, you know, pulls an ankle. He sprains an ankle in a couple of weeks or something, man. Luka Doncic, his back will be in a brace from carrying the team. Man, that's just Mavericks. Hey, don't sleep on Josh Green.

What? Don't sleep on Josh Green now. He going to carry the team?

Or Dwight Powell. Or they going to trade for Spencer Dinwiddie again, right? Yeah, right, for the fifth time. Bring him back for the eighth time.

I don't know. Golden State Warriors trying to stay alive here. It is the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. I told you that baseball is coming back to Oakland. I told you, I do want to talk about it. We may have to do this tomorrow.

With the Ravens and the Chiefs. Yeah, we may have to hold that. It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports- Shep, is that the music that I got to shut up? Is he already? Yeah, I mean, we fortunately have another hour, but for this particular hour you have to be quiet for the next five and a half minutes, yes. Damn. What am I going to do in a commercial? I don't know. Watch the rest of the Warriors-Kings game?

I hope Draymond gets another technical. I'll be back on the other side on CBS Sports Radio. Don't move.
