I'm in Atlanta, Georgia, just hanging out, sitting here in the studio, looking at all these screens. Got basketball recap on one screen, TNT. Spurs just beat Phoenix Suns. World Series, it might be down to its final game.

Texas Rangers beating the living hell out of the Arizona Diamondbacks 11 to 7. NFL trade deadline a few hours ago, or should I say Tuesday afternoon. Chase Young gone, no longer a member of the Washington commanders. Montez Sweat gone, no longer a member of the commanders. Young goes to the Niners, Sweat goes to the Bears. The Vikings get joshed up, exciting, right?

Yeah, hardly. James Harden's not Philly anymore. He gone, now he's playing in Los Angeles. That's going to be an interesting team, I tell you.

I tell you, we'll talk about that man momentarily, okay? And then also the college football playoff rankings tonight. Thank you to Brandon Marcello for coming through 24-7 Sports to fill us in. 855-2124 CBS is the number. If you like utilizing the internet, I am there as well. I am at JR Sport Brief everywhere on the internet. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta.

Our super producer and host Dave Sheppard, he's holding it down for us in New York City. Let's get the World Series out of the way, because how much can I say about an ass-whooping? 11-7. A matter of fact, the game after three innings was already 10-0. The Arizona Diamondbacks able to put some runs up late, 4-8, 2-9, to at least make the score look a little bit more respectable. But the Texas Rangers are one victory away from winning their first World Series title. The next game?

It'll be tomorrow. Five runs in the second inning. Five runs in the third inning. And between Marcus Simeon and Cory Seeger, they decided to wear the baseball out.

No Adolis Garcia the rest of the postseason, the rest of the World Series with that oblique strain. But to help get things going, Cory Seeger, in the second, hit a two-run home run to push the Rangers up 5-0. Lefty on lefty matchup here, Seeger flying out to deep left center, his first time, and he drives this one deep out into right center field, sailing out of here. Cory Seeger with yet another home run, his third here in the World Series, his sixth this postseason, Texas 5-0, Arizona nothing. And it was only the next inning, when Marcus Simeon and Cory Seeger came back up the bat. And instead of hitting a two-run triple, he decided to hit a three-run bomb, making his score 10-0.

This is abuse. And here's a drive, high into the air, deep into left field, Gurriel going back to the wall, he leaps, and it is gone! A home run for Marcus Simeon. It's a three-run shot, and the Rangers are in double figures at 10-0. Yeah, the final score, 11-7. The Rangers win on Wednesday night, World Series champs. But would anybody be surprised if the Diamondbacks fought back? No. Their manager, Torrey Lovello, he spoke afterwards and said, yeah, we got our you-know-what's kicked.

This is a grinder. This was nothing that we saw coming. We've had guys that have been throwing the ball extremely well. We've been picking up the baseball on defense. And it all came unraveled on us there in a matter of two innings, and it's 10 runs. Oh, yeah, 10 runs. You're in the third inning and you're losing 10-0. Like, I'm sick. I don't care.

These are professional athletes. I could care less about the abuse. I would have enjoyed it if Texas Rangers went up 20-0. I'd have been like, damn, I don't think I'll ever see this again in my life. And then I would have been begging for the mercy rule.

I'm sick like that. Zach Gallin will be on the mound tomorrow for the Arizona Diamondbacks, trying, trying to keep them alive for at least one more game, maybe a game six. And then, meanwhile, Nathan Evaldi will be on the mound for the Texas Rangers to hopefully close things out. Let's get to some of your calls. And then I do want to talk about this, this James Harden trade that took place last night.

We talked about the NFL trade deadline with Chase Young. The Washington commanders, basically, they're giving up. They're giving up as they should.

And I don't want to call it giving up. The team sucks enough that they're just losing. But Josh Harris, owning the team, is saying, well, damn it, we ain't winning nothing. Let's save some money. Let's get some draft picks. Let's get some cap space and rebuild things the right way so the Washington commanders can have a nice, long stretch, stretch, I should say, of success.

Because right now, ain't cutting it. 855-212-4CBS. Paul is here from Westfield. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Good evening, Jar. It's been a while. How are you, bud?

I'm excellent. It hasn't been a while. Six months, six days, and six hours. I've been counting, bud. I have to confess. On Sunday night, I'm off, and Shep and I, that kid, your producer, we've had some of the most awesome, inspiring moments. I love him.

You got one of the best guys, and you're one of the smartest people. I got some good stuff for you tonight. Are you ready? Hold on a second.

Hold on one second. Shep, am I ready? Should I be ready or should I be worried? Jar, you were ready for anything, man. You were born ready. And Paul's a good guy.

He loves his sports, so you guys are going to hit it off like you did six months ago, I have no doubt. All right, Paul, go on ahead. What's up? Absolutely. And Jar, you're from the Bronx, so you can appreciate this. This is World Series. Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Don't be so sure, but go ahead. This is a World Series that's unique in many ways. Remember how they got there, no one expected it. And imagine the Diamondbacks going into Philly, the mouse and the monsters, and dusting them up. So don't count them out yet, because that's what it's been before. And of course, Texas has to go through the immortal and indomitable Astros with the machine in El Tove and Death Row.

And now we've got what could be the end of the road, and this is the uniqueness one. Remember, Texas, everything's bigger in Texas, and so has the weight that they've been on for a never, ever first ring. They're one of six teams that have never won a championship, so they are due. And to think, on the road this year, 40 and 41, what?

How did that happen? Well, they've now won 10 straight road games, which is nuts. Yup. Nuts. And if they do it again tomorrow, 11.

This is one you'll have to look back in history to try to find these kind of numbers. And then remember, in game one, down by two innings in the ninth, wham bam, Alakazam came back. Today I was thinking of you guys thinking, hey, they're down by how many?

Is there any chance? And then look what happened in the eighth, and the people in Vegas' eyes are rolling on people betting them to come back. This series has drove everyone crazy.

It's like cats and dogs sleeping in the streets, three hots and way to rock. It's a good one. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

I hope it goes to game seven, because that will be seven to remember. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm here for a good game.

I'll tell you this much. It'd be nice if more people were watching. This is on pace to be the lowest watched or lowest viewed World Series ever.

Yes, sir, because of widespread streaming on so many other devices. That's a trend. But this has been one of the wildest series ever, starting right off the rip with game one. And then tonight, after Arizona shut them down the last game, the Texas bats were whack-a-palooza and just smoking the ball. This has been a good one. Hey, Paul, I don't think widespread streaming is the reason why this is the least watched World Series ever.

Why? I think it has more to do with the popularity of the game and the lack of popularity and the exposure of these two teams, which folks don't know. Yeah, all across the board, we can go ahead and look at numbers going down. But, you know, if I got to take a look at the NFL, their numbers on rate and on pace for what they've done, all things considered, they're still the most watched. Baseball's not in that space no more.

Of course not. Long pause is in between plays. What you call engineering design, that's not just more, it's advanced. And a lot of patience. People don't have that. I agree, but people don't know what they're missing. A true sports fan can appreciate, because none of these either teams have been there, they have less of a fan base.

But remember, that's how you have to get there. Jordan didn't win till he's 26, remember? Well, say again, what?

Jordan didn't win till he's 26, and Boston has a super team, and our due to vent goalies in Boston are wicked. Watch what's coming up all around us. Okay. Well, thank you, Paul. Appreciate you calling from Westfield. Thanks, Brod.

Good hearing from you. No doubt about it. I don't know what the hell, what Michael Jordan got to do with anything. What did Michael Jordan have to do with people watching baseball? Nobody wanted to see him play.

He sucked. Davis calling from Springfield. I love Springfield. I love. Oh, how about that? Oh, my God. That didn't take too long now, did it?

Shep, what the hell happened? We got some news here, don't we? I think you called it, and I got to shout out James, wherever he's calling from, because I didn't just see this until he informed us, JR. I know you had your finger on this the whole time. It came to fruition. I don't know why it took so long, but JR, you were right.

You said it was only a matter of time. The Raiders are firing. Josh McDaniels is, of course, according to Adam Schefter, they are naming Antonio Pierce, their linebackers coach, as the interim head coach. Wait. Antonio Pierce, who used to tackle people for Washington and the Giants? Yes.

Yes. Oh, my God. The Raiders are hilarious. I told you this dude looked miserable last night.

Miserable. Monday Night Football, the Raiders are getting their teeth kicked in, and he's been fired. And it's not just Josh McDaniels who's been fired. Dave Ziegler has been fired as well, the general manager. Like, Mark Davis literally wakes up and says, he wants to fire and get rid of people.

Like, people change underwear and like they change clothes. The Raiders are so unstable. It's ridiculous. And I guess and ironically, you're firing them tonight. You're firing them after the trade deadline. What did Mark Davis expect? Did he expect the team to get assets in return? Did he expect for them to bring in somebody that was at the league going to make a difference and contribute towards winning? The fact that he has fired them, not just after that loss last night to the Lions 26 to 14, where Devante Adams can't even get more than a catch for 11 yards. He waited until after the trade deadline.

I don't know what his expectation was. I don't know what he was thinking about, but he has now gone through another head coach and another GM. And I feel like we were just looking at Mike Mayock. I feel like we were just looking at Gruden in the face. And let's also be clear, the general manager, Dave Ziegler, the man just got the job last year in 2022. Mark Davis is hilarious.

Antonio Pierce is now leading the way. He's the head coach. If you're Devante Adams, Devante Adams just said the other day, he said last night, man, I don't know. I can't say what I want to feel.

I can't say what's on my mind. And we just got to fix it. You know, we had a caller who said, man, maybe Devante Adams would have loved to just maybe regrets leaving. Well, damn it, I guess he does now because the Raiders have rated again.

And I knew it was either going to be at the end of the season or it was going to be at some point in the season. I did not think that Mark Davis would wake up and say, I have to fire my general manager and my coach. Damn it, Mark Davis, his Las Vegas Aces, they just won the WNBA championship last week. I guess that shine went away real fast as he got back to business with the Raiders. The Raiders are a joke. I really want to hear from Devante Adams now. I know Jimmy Garoppolo is scratching his head saying, damn it, this is what I'm into? The Raiders are going to Raider.

If you didn't get the news, it's real simple. McDaniels out as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Josh McDaniels is gone. Their general manager, David Ziegler, gone as the general manager of the Raiders. And by the way, it's November 1st and the Raiders have already ripped their team to shreds. Somebody go talk to Mark Davis. He's playing with daddy's toy and he's screwing things up again. This is disastrous. 855-2124 CBS.

That's 855-2124 CBS. It was only last night after the loss after the loss. That Devante Adams was asked how he feels and can he express himself and he basically said this. Let's take a listen. Honestly, I don't know what to say at this moment. I truly don't. I wish I had the words to, you know, to say something that's not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context. So I'm just, I truly, I just don't know. What are you feeling right now?

Can you elaborate on anything going through your mind? Frustration, but I mean that's, that kind of goes without saying. Devante, I know you said that, you know, you have confidence whenever you're out there and offense's ability, but is it kind of hard to maintain that when the results are what they've been? No, it's not hard to maintain the confidence in our offense.

It's just hard to curb your frustration when you can't put it together when you know you should. That was last night after a loss. What the hell is Devante Adams thinking tonight? What are Raider fans thinking tonight? Yeah, the Raiders need an overhaul in the front office, with the head coach, with talent, but what they really need an overhaul with is the owner.

And he ain't selling. 8-5-5-2-1-2 for CBS. That's 8-5-5-2-1-2 for CBS. Mark Davis woke up where he went through the trade deadline and he's ticked off.

The person he should be mad at is himself. Josh McDaniels, fired. General Manager Dave Ziegler, fired. I'm going to get to your calls on the other side of the break. The Raiders are being the Raiders.

They're contributing news and not for good reasons. 8-5-5-2-1-2 for CBS. I'm going to get to your calls on the other side on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbrief on CBS Sports Radio.

First time caller and listener. I'm loving the show. Your show is just absolutely outstanding.

I gotta tell you, I've been listening to you and I've been feeling and agreeing with your flow. Call in now at 8-5-5-2-1-2 for CBS. It's the J.R. Sportbrief Show on CBS Sports Radio. If you haven't heard the news yet, Mark Davis of the Raiders has decided to fire his head coach, Josh McDaniels. He's also decided to fire his General Manager, Mike Ziegler. These are two dudes who have only been with the franchise since the beginning of last season.

David Ziegler, excuse me. They came on early last year in 2022. They don't even make it through a second full season and we know last night right here because we talked about it just how pathetic the Raiders looked and performed on Monday Night Football as the Lions just wore them out 26-17. The game wasn't even that damn close. They couldn't get a pass, a first down. They didn't have time or possession. Only had the ball for 20 minutes. Devontae Adams had one catch for 11 yards and just looking at the expression of Josh McDaniels on the sideline you knew that he had no juice and I sat here and said it. It's only a matter of time.

Did I expect it to come in 24 hours? No, the hell I didn't but I knew at the end of the year he was definitely going to be gone. I guess something had to have happened with the trade deadline to get rid of both he and Ziegler. Like did Mark Davis think that something amazing was going to happen? You know after the loss last night Josh McDaniel spoke and he just he sounded like he sounded like a dude on death row for his job. Let's take a listen on what he said and what went wrong with the game. I don't think we protected very well on third down and couldn't stay on the field so eventually you know they they ended up having the ball obviously way more than we did and then kind of turned into the running game and bore us down there so you know not not good enough. You know we're going to have to be able to pass the ball here better than what we're doing in order to win.

I think we had some opportunities to make more plays than what we did and we just didn't convert on them so there was probably a number of reasons for that. Look that sounded like a dude was about to get fired. They didn't get fired after last night's game either. They got fired after the trade deadline. I really assume Mark Davis thought something was going to happen.

Something. And for Josh McDaniel's he might not see another opportunity as a coach. I know it's kind of shocking that he got this one but it was the Raiders who decided to to go out there and give him the job and if you think about the Raiders and the way they did it and the way about the Raiders since Mark Davis took over the passing of his dad he has just gone through a who's who of coaches.

Let's think about this just flattened period. Since he took over in 2011 the Raiders have only had two winning seasons. Let me say that again they've only had two winning seasons since he took over as owner. They've had two playoff appearances losing both of those times in the wildcard and he has now had a who's who of head coaches going out there and just running the show here for the Raiders. We can go back and start thinking about Hugh Jackson getting the boot and then he had to take over.

Dennis Allen, Tony Sperano, Jack Del Rio. We know about Gruden. We know if Gruden came and he left you can thank his emails for that. Rich Basaccia had to come through and clean things up and now Josh McDaniel's doesn't even make it through two full seasons. This is normal Raiders just business as usual.

855-212-4CBS it's 855-212-4CBS Eric is here from Texas. Hey Jared how you doing tonight? Very well. Good. Hey I was thinking about the whole Raiders situation. Before I talk about the trade deadline as well I'd like to say about Garoppolo I think that like Jerry Jones we obviously all know he made the mistake he pulled the trigger on that trade for Trey Lance so I think the same thing is true with the Raiders. I think that the owner was over that and that was his mistake not the general managers.

That's number one. Number two if they're gonna fire the dang general manager like and put in just Saturday in Josh McDaniel's place like they would have got draft capital for like Adams. I mean maybe he was not one to take on some of that compensation and like the owner got mad about it. I don't know I can't put my finger on something's weird about it. Yeah no we're gonna find out sooner than later but there's a whole lot this has to do with a few things.

First the embarrassment of a game last night and then B something took place with the trade deadline whether it's an addition or subtraction you don't just give these dudes the boot like right after the trade deadline not this type of way. 855-212-4CBS that's 855-212-4CBS. John is here from Texas. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up John?

Oh good evening brother. I got a shout out text at the top of the night go rakers and then I'll go into Josh McDaniel's and Mark Davis. I am an expert in bad ownership. I'm a Cowboys fan and Jerry Jones does a lot of jerseys gets a lot of hopes up and never delivers a ring. So I might be willing to trade for Mark Davis at least he will fire a guy the only mistake he makes firing Josh McDaniel's is that he hired him in the first place and that probably falls on the GM as well. Yeah I'm not I don't dispute that Ziegler came on and he brought on Josh and and here they are now they're both out of a job. And so to say Mark Davis I mean granted he has done horrible with the Raiders he's proven he can run a championship organization with the aces. I personally would love to see the Raiders be great again like they were when I was 10 years old in the 80s but whoever hired Garoppolo whether it's Davis or Ziegler a total tear down the only thing about this that doesn't make sense to me is keeping Devante Adams.

I'll hang up and listen thank you sir for having my call. You know thank you John for calling from Texas and that that very well might be the the straw that broke the camel's back just to think that the GM gets fired right after the trade deadline uh yeah they're absolutely going anywhere. Devante Adams has made it I want to say pretty clear that he wasn't in no rush to go anywhere and that he wanted to stay and maybe at this point Mark Davis said nah I need you to get rid of him and he did and now he's fired.

It had to have been one way or the other. Officer Walker is calling from Houston you're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey what's going on JR man I just want to call in tonight man uh it's always a pleasure to call in I listen to you pretty much every night and I just wanted to give you your props tonight man uh I was listening last night and after that game I saw a little bit of it I didn't really see a whole bunch but after listening to your show man you were spot on. The coach he looked at out of it I mean and even the interview here in the uh the press conference and stuff like that man it's he was out of it and like you said you called it and did we think it was going to happen 24 hours later uh I would have never guessed that but guess what it did but uh like I said man I just wanted to give you props on that. Yeah nah you can tell by somebody's body language he looked checked out he looked like he looked like he got one foot in his ass on the way out uh look the football is tough yeah football is tough football ain't easy and if if you if you don't even have the command of a locker room you know how could you have such a job that's there was probably another right officer appreciate you thank you JR take care man no doubt about it uh Mark Davis has released a statement to the public via the Raiders social media and it reads as follows after much thought about what the Raiders need to move forward I have decided to part ways with Josh and Dave I want to thank them both for their hard work and wish them and their families nothing but the best said Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis and so the Raiders have to go through the rest of the season just I can't even say they just exist like I don't know is Antonio Pierce supposed to go ahead and and push them forward in the best way possible I know he's he's been trying to get his foot into head coaching for a long time and he's been on the sideline since he hung him up but I mean damn is this what he wants the Raiders are basically a a petri dish of an NFL franchise for the rest of the season with a record of three and five you know where they're going this year nowhere and I know people get real enthusiastic the following game the Raiders next game is going to be against the New York Giants Antonio Pierce this man was a champion with the New York Giants and so I'm sure the team might have a little bit of a battery in its back but if we're gonna expect the turnaround here for the Raiders I ain't counting on that I feel that they're just going to exist throughout the rest of the season that Mark Davis is gonna have to find himself a new general manager and a new coach and by all things man when you bring in a GM you want to give them a runway to at least build out the team for four five and six seasons not a year and a half before you just blow three things to shreds again Mark Davis got his finger on the button and somebody needs to take away his toy man probably a number of reasons for that it's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio 855-2124 CBS it's 855-2124 CBS I'm going to take more of your calls here on these uh hilarious Raiders you're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio you're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio thanks very much I really admire you and your show you do such a good job and um questions are real important let me say they are man I love what you do and you know just keep doing it bro call in now at 855-2124 CBS it's the JR Sport Brief Show on CBS Sports Radio oh what a busy day we've had a busy 24 hours let's try to recap and let's see if I've missed anything over the past 24 hours and so almost exactly 24 hours ago I get off the air and James Harden is finally traded to the Clippers not official yet but he moves on we continue on the NFL trade deadline is Tuesday afternoon 4 p.m eastern time we do see some big trades Chase Young is now a member of the San Francisco 49ers Montez Sweat is now a member of the Chicago Bears the commanders decide to wave the white towel throw in the towel wave the flag whatever you want to call it after a three and five season and their new owner Josh Harris says I ain't paying for this crap let's start fresh and so they move on and so Josh Harris by the way he owns the Sixers and the commanders and so in one day he moves on from Chase Young Montez Sweat PJ Tucker and more importantly James Harden that trade waiting to become official and then tonight in a wild game of the World Series the Texas Rangers take a 3-1 lead as they beat down they beat up they beat them up side to side left right all over the damn place 11 to 7 is the final score as the Texas Rangers need to win one more game presumably on Wednesday night they hope so to walk away with their first World Series trophy at the end of three innings they led 10 to nothing Victor when Benyama in the San Antonio Spurs come back to edge and I say edge the Phoenix Suns 115 to 114 and then about 30 minutes ago Mark Davis let the world know that he is getting rid of not just his general manager and Dave Ziegler but also his head coach and Josh McDaniels Mark Davis is just he wakes up wants to make a move and he does it and so we've had a busy busy night and then also we're gonna have about six more go-arounds with this but the college football playoff rankings we got the first version the first release Ohio State currently sits at one the Bulldogs of Georgia sit at two Michigan sits at three the Seminoles are at four and oh yeah by the way and I'm sure we're gonna get to this the Michigan sign stealing scandal there's some interesting things coming out Harbaugh is saying oh no nothing changed about my contract it looks like it is and then the dude who was running around allegedly spying on other teams there's now a report that he was hanging out on another team's sideline and I had some glasses you can't make this stuff up just just wild all over the place before I move on and do anything you can call me eight five five two one two four CBS I need to let you know about the defensive player of the week sponsored by the Navy Federal Credit Union who proudly serves the armed forces DoD veterans and their families their members are the mission you can learn more at navyfederal.org this was a shock this was a surprise but I'm giving the defensive player of the week to Justin Simmons the Denver Broncos surprised everybody and beat the Kansas City Chiefs 24 to 9 Justin Simmons recovered a fumble he picked up a pass intercepted a pass off of Patrick Mahomes for the sixth time in his career and both of those turnovers led to 10 points for the Broncos as they actually did something that they do not do they beat the Kansas City Chiefs first win after 12 tries Denver wins 24 to 9 let's try to get on as many callers as possible before we roll out of course I'm gonna be back with you tomorrow 10 p.m eastern 7 pacific we'll be giving you a new top six list maybe the Texas Rangers will be your world series champions and then just maybe maybe we'll get more of an explanation from Mark Davis why he fired his head coach and his general manager right after the trade deadline I'm not gonna count on it though eight five five two one two four CBS we got Derek calling from Seattle what's up Derek hey man I just want to say that uh the Raiders man they never should have got rid of Cruz man um because he had them playing competitive and everything um and they will win and honestly I think they should bring him back if not the Raiders some NFL team should give Chuck another chance I'll hang up and let me know what you think all right thank you Derek for calling from Seattle unfortunately people who send racist and sexist emails typically don't get a the fastest chance back in society I know people get second chances Gruden also active in litigation against not just the Raiders but the NFL I'd be shocked to see him getting the job back would it shock me if he got one in a long term no because they certainly recycle coaches and people get second chances but man that man ain't getting no job right now and for what was exposed and what came out for what he said no he his ass don't deserve to have a job right now eight five five two one two four CBS Steve is calling from Houston big fan of the Raiders since the Heidi game I was never a fan when we got Jimmy Garoppolo he gets hurt and what we saw in the Super Bowl he is what he is he's he's just a stopgap guy and always the Patriot way doesn't work I'm glad I was at that game last year when they got beat the heck out of him by the Saints 24 to nothing that right there told me that the man could not coach I'm surprised that he's lasted as long as he has and I didn't surprise me his ego was fired Mark Davis has never he's not trying to be the GM like his father he's a business guy he got the stadium the only gym probably the best in the league and I'm just as critical as anybody else about this guy but we needed the change and I'm glad he didn't wait till the end of the season it was time to get fired yeah I hear you but he is the guy who's making the decisions like the buck has to stop with somebody and when you run through the the individuals that he has like there comes a point in time where you have to look at the mirror for your hiring practices it's less about you know trying to go out and run the team like his dad or trying to run the team like Jerry Jones but you gotta hire people that have that have a runway you gotta hire people who you can believe and trust in that they're gonna make the right decisions and it can't be it can't be a this guy off of tv hell this guy had an email uh exposed and and this guy well he sucks I mean at what point do you look in the mirror and go man I'm screwing up I know he needs to have somebody I go between somebody that can give him better advice because obviously he's running the ship the way he wants to do it and it hasn't been happening it hasn't been happening for a very very long time yeah there's no doubt thank you Steve for calling from Houston if there's one thing that we know man these damn owners they don't they don't fire themselves when the owner messes up what does he do you know go ahead and disappear and quit he fires somebody else Sean is calling from Texas you're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey Jerry I just want to let you know man you're doing a great job man you covered everything I mean from from college to to to the NBA to the trade deadline I just want to give you your props thank you what's up um Al Davis man uh he'll be turning on his grave right now he was a proud man that that that really believed in his product the Raiders and I'm not a Raiders fan but I always like to watch them play and and see them go to the playoffs and then have the big games and they are so far removed from what they used to be Al Davis I think he would just be saddened right now how his son just took over and and just allowed that that that franchise to just crumble. Yeah he's gonna have to find somebody as we said to go ahead and and run the organization and the other caller said this Allegiant Stadium is absolutely beautiful I've been there I've had a tour of the whole place it makes you want to go but if I got to think about the product out on the field I don't know you know why I would I would feel enthusiastic it feels like the Raiders and let's just think about the football here for a second I don't even want to dive deep into the draft and start thinking about the Alex Leatherwoods of the world but Jimmy Garoppolo ain't winning nothing Devante Adams is probably going to be begging now to to get the hell up on out of there I can't foresee some type of huge turnaround let's also keep in mind they're gonna have a new GM they're gonna have a new coach I'd be surprised if Antonio Pierce sticks around as the head coach into the future it's just it's it's disjointed how this place is being ran. It's amazing how folks that that have uh uh rode the coattails of their parents and and and not understand how important this is not just but to their family but to the fans the the the NFL and even the players that that came before you know the players that are playing now it's they have a rich history and I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan and I know that so it's amazing how you got a guy that's the son of a of a legend of a team Al Davis and he lets it go like that it's just amazing to me well I'll hang up and let you finish talking talking to the audience appreciate that. Thank you Sean for calling from Texas here's an answer the valuation of every NFL team goes up they make money either way yeah you want butts in seats man the Raiders do good and by the way if the Raiders aren't filling up Allegiant Stadium with Raiders fans man there's a lot of people who want to show up just for a weekend in Vegas to see their favorite their favorite team play on the road this is uh it sucks it really does I feel bad for Raider fans that they got to deal with this crap Mark Davis firing general manager Dave Ziegler and then also head coach Josh McDaniels maybe Mark Davis should look in the mirror but like I said he can't fire himself it's the JR Sport Brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio I'll be back with you tomorrow 10 p.m eastern 7 pacific if you miss me in the meantime you can find me everywhere at JR Sport Brief I'm on Twitter Facebook Instagram go ahead look it up thank you so much to Super Producer and host Dave Sheppard we got a lot to do tomorrow the Rangers can close out the world series we got a top six list I'm sure we'll have some more news surrounding the Raiders JR Sport Brief Show on CBS Sports Radio is done but don't move why because I said so but more importantly Amy Lawrence is coming up next and she's awesome thank you so much Shep Reinvention and a family confronting its unspoken past it's the true story about a fake story about a real life magnificent jerk is an apple original podcast produced by pineapple street studios all episodes are available now follow and listen on apple podcasts maybe you're still new to this whole ev thing but those range fears turns out your all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 5 gets you to work and back all week on a single charge and now every IONIQ 5 comes with a complimentary EV charger and up to $600 installation credit when it comes to embracing change or thinking of every mile Hyundai it's your journey call 562-314-4603 for complete details 2023 IONIQ 5 rear wheel drive has an EPA estimated driving range of up to 303 miles actual range will vary with options driving conditions and habits vehicle and batteries condition and other factors available in limited quantities and select states only this episode is brought to you by FX's A Murder at the End of the World starring Emma Corrin Clive Owen and Britt Marling Emma plays Darby Hart a sleuth and tech savvy hacker she joins an exclusive group invited to a retreat when one of the guests is found dead Darby must prove it was murder before the killer takes another life FX's A Murder at the End of the World now streaming only on Hulu ew gotta get rid of this old Backstreet Boys t-shirt tell me why because it stinks boys tell me what I've watched it so many times but the odor won't come out tell me why no you tell me why I can't get rid of this odor have you tried downy rinse and refresh it doesn't just cover up odors it helps remove them wow it worked guys yeah downy rinse and refresh removes more odor in one wash than the leading value detergent in three washes find it wherever you buy laundry products
