It is the JR Sport Brief show on CBS Sports Radio. My name is JR coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Welcome. Hello. What's up? How are you to everybody listening all over North America?

I'm going to be hanging out with you for the next four hours. This is the beginning of the show. It's when I get started. 10 p.m. Eastern time, 7 p.m. Pacific. I'm being joined by super producer and host, Dave Shepherd, and I'm being joined by you.

Everybody listening all across North America. So whether you're on the free Odyssey app, whether you're locked in or your local CBS Sports Radio affiliate, Sirius XM Channel 158, or you happen to be on a smart speaker, I just say thank you. I mean, you got plenty of options, plenty of things to listen to, but I'm glad that you're here. And for that, I say thank you.

This is your show. For the next four hours, we're going to talk about a lot. We got two good games going on right now.

One of them is seriously giving me a heart attack. Game four of the WNBA Finals. Yes, a WNBA Finals game is giving me a heart attack as right now, the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces, they are battling it out in ridiculous form and fashion right now. The Aces lead 64 to 62, a little more than two minutes left in the game. And if the Aces win, they are WNBA champions. And if the New York Liberty come back and win the New York Liberty, they force a game five. And so we'll see what happens.

I'll go ahead and update you. It's been a great watch. And if you're just a basketball fan, this is really something cool to take a look at. Meanwhile, over on the baseball side of things, we know we're at the championship rounds of Major League Baseball postseason. In the ALCS right now, the first game in Texas for the Rangers in the ALCS, which they lead two to nothing. The Houston Astros are trying to pick up their first victory of this series. They currently lead five to two. Max Scherzer making his first start for the Rangers in over a month. And Max Scherzer, he got the snot beat out of him.

Four innings pitched, all five runs, struck out four dudes, gave up a home run to Jose Altuve in the third. And in Texas, man, they're trying to get back into this game. The Rangers are trying to go up 3-0, but they got a hill to climb, as I said, Houston leading five to two. So we got two great games going on right now.

I'll update you as things continue to roll on. And then we've also had plenty of other news kind of pop off today in the world of sports to the shock of nobody. James Harden decided not to show up to work today. Philadelphia 76ers don't know why. They don't know where he is. Allegedly he's in Houston, but he ain't at work.

And what a surprise for a dude who wants to be traded. Unfortunately, Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts, he's done for the season. Deshaun Watson is dealing with his own shoulder issue. No idea when he's going to come back. It looks like Kyler Murray is going to return at some point this season as he's been put off the practice or put onto the practice list eligible to go out there and practice.

Who knows when he will actually go out there and play. We got Thursday Night Football tomorrow. Jacksonville Jaguars are going to take on the Saints.

Tonight it's Wednesday. We got a new top six list for you. We're going to talk about some of the top cities in North America right now that just have to be thrilled with their teams because their teams are ultimately competing for titles. What team, what city is feeling good about its teams? What city is feeling hyped about its prospects to ultimately win a championship?

And just really, what city is a city of winners right now? And so we'll do that two hours from now. If you want to talk to me, it's simple. Here's the phone number. Pay attention if you don't know it by now. It's 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. You can find me online, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, everywhere. I am at JR Sport Brief. Shep, how are you this evening? You doing good? Doing well, JR.

Thanks for asking, man. How are you? I'm good, man.

I'm good. Just watching these games, I haven't, I don't remember the last time I've been this invested in watching a WNBA game. And I get it, the stakes are a little bit higher here, win or go home, championship or bust. It's just fun.

Male, female, cat, dog, like this is, this is fun, man. This is competition at its highest level for what it is, man. I would agree. And I think it may be Becky Hammond's last game as a WNBA head coach. Well, we'll see what happens with Becky Hammond.

We got, we got more to figure out before Becky Hammond is even thought about. I'm just focusing on the game, not, not where she's going or where she might go. We know Las Vegas here is just trying to win its second consecutive title, Las Vegas, the Aces.

We don't see that. This is a brand new team in Vegas. Asia Wilson is out here losing a mind for the crap game that she saw or that she had on Sunday. And I knew this from watching on Sunday in person, she had such a garbage game. Looking at what she's doing right now, 22 points, 15 rebounds. It was inevitable that she was going to go out there and ultimately bounce back. There's now about two minutes, you know, left in the game and, and Shep, as you mentioned, Becky, Becky Hammond, I want her to at least enjoy through the rest of the series. Where you plugging her into an NBA team for what, next season?

Without question. You know, it's not going to be, look, it's not going to be, obviously this upcoming season, but she is, she is an absolute bona fide winner. She should have been a head coach in an NBA team.

Honestly, JR, a few years ago, it's overdue. Everywhere she goes, she wins. She wanted a summer league representing the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs. And she's just honestly, coaching circles around every other WNBA head coach.

Yeah. I don't know if it's tough winning in the league, man. And of course, anywhere that she go and who knows it, that's a, that'd be a long way out to think about what team she could potentially coach. You know, there's not one, one NBA team, especially at this point of the season, before we even get to the season that you go, oh, well, this guy's on the hot seat. This team's going to get, you know, swept or this team's going to get the boot. This team needs a new voice. You know, we'll find out soon enough, but in a few minutes, she may actually be enjoying some champagne as the New York Liberty, man, they have taken some, some crap shots here in this game.

They have been aggressive and some terrible points. Brianna Stewart, who would just was named MVP is three of 17 from the field. And so Asia Wilson, who was third in MVP voting, a lot of people upset that she didn't get the consideration. She's the one showing out in the biggest moments right now. 24 points, 16 rebounds.

Dawn Staley, her old head coach, standing up on the side of the bench at what her former prize pupil used to do. And the New York Liberty, you're going to have to go out there and, and really, really pop off some points if they want to get back into this one. One minute and 25 seconds left in the game, Las Vegas leads 70 to 64.

We'll let you know what happens as that game continues on. Certainly been a good one. And it's also great, great, great to see a crowd hyped again for WNBA game. Brooklyn, the New York Liberty, they had a record, finals record, WNBA finals record, 17,000 plus who showed up at the Barclays Center.

I can tell you from firsthand experience being in there, the place was jumping and right now the place is full. But the place is rather quiet as the aces are trying to hold on to win their second consecutive WNBA championship, the Liberty trying to keep the confetti from falling in Brooklyn for the opposing squad. And let me just get this, this dude out the way too. There ain't nothing to celebrate here with this man. It's, it's James Harden. That was the NBA news for today. It's that James Harden did not show up for work. James Harden, who we know doesn't want to be in Philadelphia. James Harden, who called Daryl Morey a liar. He showed up to practice, practiced once, met with the team over the weekend and has decided that he's not with the team. And so nobody knows he didn't have an excused absence. No one knows where, if, when, how he's going to decide to show back up and his own teammates and coach have had the answer for him today. Nick Nurse, who hasn't even coached a regular season game yet for the 76ers.

This is what Nick Nurse had to say about James Harden skipping practice. I mean, listen, I think I stay with, you know, if he's here we go and if he's not here we go, right? We got work to do. And again, it was a good, long, you know, kind of a grinder day. You know, there's a few days before we play again.

It's one of those kind of midweek practices, right? And good, good effort by the guys. Good, good focus, good spirit, you know.

So just it's my answer, man. He's here we go. He's not here we go. If he's here, we move forward.

If he's not here, we move forward. Sooner than later, the Philadelphia 76ers are going to move on without him. I mean, there's no way in hell that you can keep James Harden on the team.

I don't know what Daryl Morey is looking for. I know he wants to have a star of equal value. At this point in time, James Harden is not the MVP candidate he was years ago. And I think we all know that.

Everybody knows that. Otherwise the Sixers, they would have given him a massive deal. But as he continues to get older and he continues to become a problem and he continues to break down and he continues to be inconsistent, who the hell wants James Harden?

The Clippers are going to get him on a discount and let's see what the 76ers can get in return, even if it has to come in via a third party or third team. The reigning NBA MVP, Joel Embiid, he had to answer questions about James Harden and Joel Embiid, the master politician. It's just like, I don't know, maybe he had a reason. Listen to this.

We obviously got the news that James wasn't here today. Just how does that impact you, impact, like just moving forward as a team, just having compartmentalize? I don't know.

Maybe he has something to do. I'm not sure. But we had a good practice. We completed, went up and down a little bit. It's great for me. I'm still coming back. I feel like I'm feeling myself.

But I thought, you know, it was good. I don't know. I don't know why he didn't show up to work. Maybe, maybe he had something to do that didn't have to do with work.

I don't know. Well, his head coach just said, everybody said that they expected him to be at work. And so like a week before the NBA regular season even starts, the James Harden saga has begun. This man is done in Philadelphia. I know he said he wanted to play on Friday against the Hawks and their final preseason game. And I assume he still might do that if Philly allows him to.

And I'm sure he'll probably go out there and play half-assed. That he'll go through the motions like he did when he was in Brooklyn and wanted out. Like he did in Houston when he completely threw his entire team underneath the bus. And so, you know what, for the sake of everybody who gives a damn about basketball, please, please move on from James Harden. A matter of fact, move James Harden to Siberia. Move James Harden to somewhere where we do not have to hear about him or watch him play. And there was a point in time where I was ridiculously excited about watching the dude when he was in Houston. He was must see TV as the sole superstar with the Rockets.

We know what they want. The answer is nothing. And as he gets older, you think he's getting better? He's becoming more of a problem. He's injury-prone. And quite frankly, he's washed.

He's cooked. He can still contribute, but not at the level that he actually is, or better yet, what he thinks he is. The Sixers got to move him. Let him suffer on the Clippers.

Play with the bus, rest of the dudes pretty much moving towards retirement. Sorry, Kawhi. Sorry, Paul George. Sorry, Russell Westbrook. Yeah, Clippers is where James Harden belongs. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on CBS Sports Radio 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. We got so much to get into. On the other side of the break, I'm going to let you know what's going on with the Las Vegas Aces and the Liberty as Las Vegas is up 70-69. Eight seconds left in the game. The Liberty have the ball. Houston is ahead right now above the Texas Rangers. 5-2, Houston trying to extend their lead.

I'll give you an update on that game on the other side of the break as well. We're going to get into Anthony Richardson, done for the year. Deshaun Watson, he's busted up. Kyler Murray, he might return. We're going to give you a top six list of the hottest sports cities in North America right now.

We got a lot to do. It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio.

It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. The WNBA Finals. It's over. The Las Vegas Aces hold on to beat the New York Liberty in Brooklyn, New York. The final score, 70-69. The New York Liberty, I'd say for the majority of the game, they were able to take a lead in the third quarter. Asia Wilson, last year's Finals MVP, decided to go out there and absolutely lose her mind in the third and fourth quarter.

She finished with 24 points and 16 rebounds. The Liberty had the fight to stay in the game. They had a chance with about eight seconds left to inbound the ball and not even tie the game, but to ultimately take a lead and win the game, kick the ball around. Courtney Vandersloot got a three-point shot in the corner for the win, and she missed everything with that shot.

End of the game. Las Vegas holds on to win. They are the first back-to-back WNBA champions since 2001, 2002, where we have to go ahead and look at, I believe it would have either been Houston to go ahead and do that. And a matter of fact, let's take a listen. This is the final call of the WNBA season.

This was a damn good game to watch as the Aces go back-to-back. Listen to this, listen to this courtesy of ESPN. And that's good inbound trying to get it to Stewart. Dunks it in.

Stewart juggles. Catches. Six seconds left. Stewart with five. Draws the double. Laney to the corner. Vandersloot.

No! And that is it! An unforgettable finish to Game 4. A resilient conclusion to a remarkable season for the Las Vegas Aces. And for the first time in 21 years, the WNBA has a back-to-back champion. The Aces on top yet again. Yeah, no back-to-back champions. It wasn't Houston. Houston was before them.

That was the Los Angeles Sparks. All my apologies due to Lisa Leslie. Lisa's nice.

I don't need her smacking me around. And this was great. Right now they're having the trophy presentation. Holly Rowe is getting ready to hand out the MVP awards and the championship trophy.

Keep in mind, and my apologies to the Raiders fans out there, you probably know this, Mark Davis is also the owner of the Las Vegas Aces. He's in attendance in Brooklyn. He's on the court right now. Dead smack in the middle of the court. And he's in his famed white suit. And he's also in his famed terrible haircut.

My apologies. This will probably be the closest thing that Mark Davis has an opportunity to win because we know that these, the Raiders are bad. But at least he has the Aces. Congratulations as they go back-to-back.

That was a damn good game to watch. Heartbreaking for the New York Liberty. The New York Liberty, their team that just, they can't win.

They're an inaugural NBA franchise or WNBA team. And they can't win the big one. They can't. They can't. It's just mind boggling.

It's something in the water in New York. It's just odd to look at Mark Davis hoist the trophy like he did something. Man, give it to a, give it to somebody who actually played. Yeah, get, yeah, get, yeah, get out of here.

Yeah, give it to Asia. She hoists the trophy in Brooklyn and nobody wants to see that. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. Yeah, this is the part that gets me. I understand the team wins the trophy. And they always want to talk to the owner. Give the owner an opportunity and then the owner passes it on and gives credit to the GM and the coach and the players. At what point are we going to have an owner who just says, hey, I'm just here to support.

Talk to them. Like that's what we need. Like Mark Davis is over here hot and riled up and showing love to his team.

And it's just like pass the buck. Nobody, nobody wants to hear from him. Let's go to Greg. Greg is calling from Michigan. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Greg? JR, Mr.

Positive, Everybody, Agents of Inclusion. Hey, did Mark Davis have his beautiful 26-year-old blonde draw with him? Well, he's surrounded by WNBA players. So I don't, I think he's pretty busy.

No, he's not accompanied by anybody right now, but the team. I hear you. I hear you. Hey, James Harden, does this man care about his legacy? I mean, really? I don't, I don't, I don't think so. I mean, look, do I think he wants to win a championship? I think the answer would be yes. Is he or has he been willing to go out and do what's required to do so?

I think the answer is no. And I mean, he openly campaigned for MVP a few seasons ago. He has openly disparaged other players who play ridiculously balls to the wall at all times.

Someone like Giannis Atteracumpo, who I've never heard of seen in a strip club, even though who knows, he may go. So no, I don't think James Harden cares all that much. He wants his money. He wants to get paid. And if he can get a championship, good.

But I don't think that's his first priority. I got to ask you, Jer, your top six list, hopefully it's from maybe where I'm calling from. But hey, love you. Winning cities? Championship cities right now? Winners? Oh my, we're doing pretty good.

Hockey, football, what the heck? I think there's some bigger winners. We'll see.

Yeah, I bet you. Love you everybody. Agents of Inclusion, fantastic, Jer. Excellent job. Love you. Thank you. Thank you, Greg, for calling from Michigan.

855-212-4CBS. As I sit here in the studio, we do got a baseball game going on right now as well. The American League Championship Series. Hey, Houston leads 7 to 4. It's the end of the seventh. Texas leads the series 2 to nothing. Maybe Texas can add three, four more runs and make this a game? We'll find out sooner than later. They're running out of outs.

Let's see what they do right now. Asia Wilson, last year she won a championship. She was pretty tipsy right away. I'm on a tipsy alert watch. I'm trying to see if she's going to pick up that Michelob Ultra like she did last year.

And if she does, we're going to have some interesting quotes to pay attention to. 855-212-4CBS. Let's go ahead to Birmingham, Alabama, my next door neighbor and talk to Bennett. You're on CBS Sports Radio.

What's up, Bennett? Hey, I just wanted to ask you, who do you think is going to win the Eagles Dolphins game Sunday Night Football? I like the Dolphins right now. You know, it's going to be a close game. These are two great teams, so you can basically flip a coin.

I just think about who I think is capable of going out there and scoring more points. That would happen to be the Miami Dolphins, but the Eagles can certainly win this game without a shadow of a doubt, especially if they get up into a space, which is a high possibility. I think for me, it's in Miami, but if Jalen Hurts doesn't have any turnovers, I think they can win that one. But if he throws some interceptions like he did against the Jester, they're going to lose.

Well, yeah, of course. I can't see him going out there and throwing three interceptions back to back games, but it should be a great game. It's a difficult one to call. It's not like one team should be heavily favored over the other.

I'm taking Miami just because, A, they're at home and that I think they have a more explosive offense, so we'll see. All right. Thank you, Bennett, for calling from Birmingham. 855-212-4CBS.

It's 855-212-4CBS. Who do we have here? We've got John. He's calling from South Carolina. You're CBS Sports Radio. What's up, John?

Hey, guys. I've been with you for a long time. Born in Cleveland, so a Browns fan, and when they made their deal with Watson, I was telling you last year they're going to pay a price to the dark side.

So who's Chubman and who's Watson? And I said I was living in Charlotte when the Panthers were born, and I was saying, why are they going to not just take Stroud and know they took Young? Do I have any hope for any of my Cleveland sports teams, one championship in my 70 years, LeBron and the Cavaliers? Help me somehow, buddy.

Help me. Well, you are certainly on the opposite end of our top six as we talk about championship cities. It ain't Cleveland, man.

And you're right, and thank you, John, for calling from South Carolina. It's not good right now for the Browns. I mean, you got Deshaun Watson.

Nobody has any idea when he's going to return. He has a busted up shoulder, and it's looking kind of ugly. A matter of fact, Kevin Stefanski, head coach of those Cleveland Browns, he talked about Deshaun Watson, gave an update, and I mean, it ain't much of an update.

Listen to this. Between Deshaun, our medical team, everybody's on the same page. Understand that we're working through this injury. Like I've told you before, you know, we'll continue to be careful and safe and make sure that when he's ready to do his job and he has all of his ability in terms of being able to throw the football, when he's ready for that, we'll have him back out there at practice.

But we're going to continue to treat that thing day to day. Man, we don't know what we're going to see this man. Is this supposed to be a punishment? I mean, an NFL style punishment? Deshaun Watson already had to do his time in the court of public opinion. He had to do his time when it comes down to an NFL banishment suspension. He certainly was rewarded financially with that gigantic contract.

$200 plus, $230 million to show up all guaranteed. And I can't even play. Got a busted up shoulder. The Cleveland Browns are looking in the face right now.

They're three and two. They got Indianapolis, the Colts coming up next. What is this, a battle of two teams with guys with busted up shoulders? Anthony Richardson out for the season. Jim Irsay deciding to go on Twitter and make an announcement about this man who is a fourth overall, played four games, and it's done. Jim Irsay basically said after consultation with our medical staff and everybody close to him, it's determined he's going to undergo surgery to fix his right shoulder. He's done for the year. He's a competitor.

It's difficult. It's disappointing for him and the team. We had several medical opinions.

We felt this was the best course of action for his long-term health. Now, anybody who watched him in college with the Gators, you knew that there was a high possibility that this dude was going to be busted up. And now he's done for the season, played four games. He barely finished any of the games that he participated in, had a busted up leg, was concussed, is now dealing with a shoulder issue. I was a proponent of him just sitting out for a few games, maybe letting Gardner Minshew go out there and play.

I know Gardner Minshew had three interceptions the last game, so maybe that wasn't a good idea. But all things considered, he is now going to have plenty of time to watch from the sidelines, to watch from home, to watch from the practice facility, and more importantly, figure out how he is actually going to make it through his season healthy. Because just because you are an athletic freak, an athletic marvel, because you're big, you're fast and strong, that doesn't guarantee you a long career. You better go talk to Cam Newton. You better go talk to Dante Culpepper. How are you going to be a quarterback and not just be a tank?

You got to go home and learn that first. All the best to Anthony Richardson in his recovery. His head coach, Shane Steichen, is going to be looking at Gardner Minshew for the rest of the year.

He told everybody what Jim Mersey said. Yeah, Anthony, he's cooked. I'll start off just confirming that Anthony will have season ending shoulder surgery.

Just going through that process and talking to all the doctors, getting as much information as we could. This is the best thing for him and this franchise moving forward so we can get him healthy for next season. Now, yeah, for the franchise moving forward. Hey, good luck to Cleveland in Indianapolis on Sunday. I'll pop in and out on that game. It's not going to be something I'm itching to watch. I'm just, I'm sorry.

I'm really, yeah, like, why? No Deshaun Watson or Anthony Richardson? No, thank you. It's the JR Sport Reshow here on CBS Sports Radio 855-2124 CBS. I'm going to get some more of your calls on the other side of the break.

I do want to give you an update and talk some baseball as well. What's going on between these Rangers and these Astros and then we're going to take a listen to part of the celebration as the Las Vegas Aces have gone back-to-back as WNBA champions. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. JR, first of all, I got to tell you something. I have been blind for 40 years now.

I lost my eyesight when I was 19 years old. Listening to sports radio for 40 years because it's more informative than television to me. You, my friend, are the most realistic broadcaster I have ever heard in my life and I thank you. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. Man, thank you so much. That's that's a hell of a compliment. Thank you.

Thank you so much. It is the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. We know the Las Vegas Aces have just won back-to-back titles right now in the American League Championship Series. The Houston Astros continue to build themselves a buffer.

We're entering into the bottom of the eighth. Houston currently leads Texas. It sounds crazy saying that Houston currently leads Texas. Houston, the Astros lead the Texas Rangers 8-4 and so it looks like Houston is likely going to hold on and at least win one game in the series to pull it to 2-1. This is what happens when you got two Texas teams here in the ALCS.

You got to refer to the cities, the teams because it can get quite confusing real fast. Let's see if Texas has something in it as they are now down to their final six outs of this game. I think I said this a couple of nights ago.

I had this conversation with someone earlier today. Can anybody be shocked if the Houston Astros just still win this series? Let's see 8-5-5 2-1-2 for CBS.

That's 8-5-5 2-1-2 for CBS. You know before the break we had a caller ask about the Browns and I just talked about the injuries to Anthony Richardson. That shoulder issue has him out for the season.

He's going to have surgery. Deshaun Watson is dealing with a shoulder issue. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention a quarterback who played in Texas. He's from Texas.

His name is Kyler Murray. This dude tore his ACL back on December 12th. The Arizona Cardinals are hot garbage without him.

I mean it's not like they were all that good with him either. At least they went to the playoffs. Arizona's 1-5. They just lost to the Rams 26-9 and we just got word that Kyler Murray is back on the practice field. Is he going to play anytime soon? We have no idea.

Cardinals might still hold him out. Maybe they want to lose a few more games before they throw him out onto the field just to see what he can do. But his replacement, Joshua Dobbs, he talked about how he's approaching the game knowing that Kyler Murray is back at practice. Take a listen to this. It doesn't change my approach at all.

It was great having K-1 out there, seeing him running around and everything, slinging it. But it doesn't change my approach at all. We're still preparing for Seattle and I have my same approach each and every week.

I've seen it. As we know and we've talked about, I've seen every side of this quarterback thing. So my approach never changes no matter what. I come in, work hard, prepare, get ready. When I'm starting, of course, that I am the starter and then if I'm not the starter, preparing as if I'm the starter. So my approach doesn't change, man. It was great to have him back out there and again, we're excited to prepare for our next opportunity.

Okay. Remember Joshua Dobbs earlier on in the season? He went into the team store to try and purchase his jersey. They didn't even sell his jersey and he put it on social media.

I mean, it's a nice joke. It's nice to kind of bring some levity to his situation as the stand in the backup quarterback. But we know, man, you haven't been doing nothing but keeping the seat warm. Is Kyler Murray going to come back? And if he doesn't, you're keeping the seat warm for whoever the hell his replacement is going to be.

And by all indications, when you think about Kyler Murray and his contract, the one that they gave him, a five-year extension, 230 mil, I think Kyler Murray ain't going anywhere. I think he's going to be there. I know he's been able to live through the prior regime as Las Vegas is drinking Ace of Spades. Yeah, it's going to be a drunk party in Brooklyn. Hey, Shep, by the time we get off air, you can probably go down to the Village or the Meatpacking District and you could hang out with the Aces, man.

Yeah, that's exactly where I want to be at 2 a.m. in the morning is if things are not hard enough in New York City right now. Well, they're having a party, man. Yeah, it's going to be dangerous as AF, to quote them. How is it going to be dangerous you hanging out with them? They're going to have security. They're going to have fun.

Darren Waller from the Giants is going to be there. You could party. Oh, really? So just what they need, a loser around. Oh, my God. I mean, they already got Mark Davis.

They need another loser? Oh, wow. Taking credit like he wants something, please. He went to go kiss his wife, Kelsey Plume. What's wrong with that? Wait. Can't kiss his wife after she wins a championship?

No, of course he can do that. I'm obviously being sarcastic. JR, so things are getting worse and worse in New York. There was some really terrible stuff that happened in the subway with a 30-year-old getting pushed overboard while the train was coming on the track. I thought she passed out. No, no, she got pushed. She got pushed 30 years old and they had the suspect in custody.

He's 39 and this is not his first defense of doing something like this in the subway. So JR, to your point, at two o'clock in the morning, Shep is running home and tucking the covers over himself and getting to bed. Okay.

All right. I'll just say it, opportunity to party with the WNBA champs. They're having a good time in that locker room. Well, listen, listen. I'll tell you what, if they want to come on CBS Sports Radio and I can get a recorder and bring it down and they can arrange that, we can play the sound tomorrow.

I'm happy to do that. Oh, you could do that and party. You'll get drunk commentary.

I mean, you just- That's a good point. Do you think this CBS Sports Radio network would allow some drunk commentary? Probably not. We probably had some before. Yeah. Wouldn't be the first. Yeah. I mean, I don't think so either. 855-212-4CBS.

It's 855-212-4CBS. I think maybe once or twice a night we get some drunk commentary, so it wouldn't be the first of the last time. I mean, speaking of drunk commentary, let's go to New Orleans right now. I don't know if this gentleman is drunk or what he is.

Probably not. Of course. It's Fred. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Fred?

Yeah. What's up there, JR? How are you? I'm good. You don't sound inebriated.

What's going on? No, I'm not inebriated tonight. Getting ready for tomorrow, man. Jacksonville is coming down here. We're going to beat them good tomorrow. We're going to win big tomorrow. You going into the Superdome? Yeah.

We're going to win tomorrow big. Okay. So what do you do before you go inside? You sit around and drink. You're bringing instruments. What are you doing? No, I'm just going to bring my voice, man.

My voice, my attitude, my energy. I'm going to watch them boys win the big tomorrow. All right. Well, I mean, the way the Saints looked in their last game, they can't be any worse. When are they going to start scoring in the red zone, man? That's tomorrow, man. They're going to have a big day tomorrow.

All right. Well, I mean, if Trevor Lawrence isn't out, obviously if he is out, it's going to be a whole lot easier to go out there and beat the Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence is dealing with a knee issue right now. And these New Orleans Saints, they just lost to Houston 20 to 13. CJ Stroud is just, he's a beast. CJ Stroud wasn't making mistakes at Ohio State. He wasn't running around outside the pocket like a crazy person.

And his skill set as of now has certainly translated over into the NFL where they want you to go out there and throw the ball. And so, you know what? We're going to get into Jacksonville, the Saints. I want to talk about CJ Stroud on the other side of the break. Let's go ahead and get another caller in before we keep things rolling. Let's get Craig in the truck. Go ahead, Craig. We're up against a break. Hey, JR. How are you, Craig? Go ahead. Quickly.

Good, buddy. We're just heading over here to PEI. I'm just wondering what you thought your odds are.

Nathan Rourke getting, you know, maybe a couple of snaps as we get rejected. Well, I mean, a lot of that depends. What are you doing right now? Are you, you got the windows down?

Nobody. It's just a big truck. What you got in the back of that big truck?

Right now I've got, it's called the LDL, less than a load. It's pieces going to to Charlottetown. I've got bags for potatoes. I know that. Oh, if you, okay.

I like potatoes. Listen, man. I have no idea what the hell is going on with Trevor Lawrence. I have no idea if he's going to play. I'll put it to you this way. Nobody in America wants to see Nathan Rourke throw a football. Nobody but his parents.

Okay. That might tap the Canada, buddy. Did you see him play for BC?

No, hell no, no, no. I really wish you, uh, American sport chapters would look at the CFL a little bit because, uh, it's a great league. It really is. And you're looking for championship cities. How about Toronto? Toronto has a championship city. Yeah.

They got the great cup live here. Oh man. Correct. Come on, come on. Don't belittle that league. I'm not belittling the league. I'm just saying that the NFL is the league and when you think about NFL football all day on Sunday, on Monday, on Thursday, on select Fridays, on Saturdays, at the end of the year, I mean, there's college football on Saturday, all damn day. They're college football on Thursday and Friday, asking me to sit down and watch CFL football that isn't distributed widely here in the United States of America. That's, that's a tough ask. And I think I just explained in about 30 seconds, how much football there is available to watch.

How much more can I watch? It's the JR sport reshow on CBS sports radio. We're going to talk about CJ Stroud, the saints, the Jaguars, the Astros, the Rangers, the champion aces on CBS sports radio.
