I can start at 10 p.m. Eastern, 7 Pacific. We've had a full show. We spoke to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. We talked about Kansas City and Jacksonville. We talked about the fact that there ain't no beef, no problems in Philadelphia between Jalen Hurts and A.J.

Brown. We talked about the New York Jets. They're going to take on the Cowboys. Zach Wilson going to get destroyed? We'll find out Sunday afternoon.

We'll see. Kirk Cousins, I said, Kirk, man, he's on his way out from Minnesota. Final year of his contract.

This is just a sinking ship. We talked about Giannis. Outside of always telling everyone if the Bucks don't bring in talent, Giannis will leave.

Giannis is like, hey, man, I also agree with Noah Lyles. We talked about Deion Sanders. Do people need to be afraid? And when I say people do, coaches need to be afraid of Deion and his power, his recruiting.

I would say, yes, I'd be shaking in my boots if I had to compete with that dude. And so we have so much more to do this this one hour before I roll out of here. There was an interesting study about what state, what city produces the most NFL talent. I'm going to share that with you before we roll out. Phone lines are open if you want to give me a holler. That's eight five five two one two four CBS. That's eight five five two one two four CBS. I did mention to you before I get back to the phone lines about Deion. There's a coach that's being sued by a former player or maybe he's still an active player.

DeSanto Rollins, defensive tackle from Ole Miss. This guy is filing or has filed a lawsuit against Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss as well because of he had a mental health crisis. And he says that Lane Kiffin and the university did not provide equal protection. He said this is a racial and sexual discrimination suit. Multiple other allegations.

I'm looking at the story. He's a backup lineman. He's been hurt a lot. He is looking for 10 million dollars in compensatory damages and 30 million in punitive damages. The lawsuit says that Lane Kiffin intentionally took adverse actions against him on account of race for requesting and taking a mental health break but not doing the same against white student athletes.

Also not doing the same thing against female student athletes. Ole Miss says we haven't gotten a lawsuit. I don't know. Whatever. I don't know. We get some details and if a lawsuit actually gets filed we'll find out. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. Hey Shep, what are your thoughts here on everything that we've been discussing with Deion? So obviously he is a hype train machine. We get that. You kind of alluded to it though. I don't know if this is the best thing for college football. I know it's the best thing for the brand.

It's not good for the game though because you said it. We have a seven time national champion as a head coach who's under contract I believe till 2030. Nobody's talking about this guy. We got a team going for a potential three-peat. Hasn't been done in 99% of our audience's lifetime.

1930s Minnesota golfers. We're not talking about that. We're not talking about arguably the most surefire, number one overall prospect in Caleb Williams. Maybe a couple people on the West Coast. Everybody's talking about Deion.

And JR, that's all well and good. Who has he beaten? Tell me. Was TCU, should they have been ranked 17 week one?

No. I mean Matt Rule. He couldn't coach his way out of the paper bag these days. These victories are not that impressive.

I understand he's 2-0. I get that they didn't win two games last year for the entirety of the season. But can we just pump the brakes a little bit and let this guy's team be ranked higher than 15 before we fly every single show out to Colorado to broadcast him? Yeah, but I don't think it's so much about the performance or what's taking place on the field. Colorado could finish at 500. They could finish at below 500.

It's about his influence. It's not so much about the results on the field. I mean based on what has already happened, they're moving in a positive direction.

And so I don't think it's a knock. I mean as the season goes on, regardless of what they do, there's going to be attention paid to someone who might be a Heisman finalist. Damn it, his son might be a Heisman finalist.

There's going to be attention paid towards the rankings. But here at the start, he's the biggest story and I think within good reason. And I think regardless of how they perform towards the end of the season, unless there's just a massive collapse or they just completely crap the bed and all of a sudden are not competitive, he's the story and I think it's worthwhile. And JR, I'm not trying to put a damper on what this guy is doing. He has been impressive in every walk of life. What he was able to do at Jackson State, what he was able to do as a high school offensive coordinator just a few years ago. This guy is extraordinary. I don't like all the attention that he is getting because it doesn't signify what college football should be about first and foremost and that is educating students and then also putting wins together.

And he hasn't quite done that yet. That's all. Educating students? Yep. That's what it should be about. It shouldn't be about a Hall of Famer because he's primetime getting all the attention and all the accolades because he might as well, he should be coaching the NFL if that's what this is about. I don't know when college football or college athletics first space or first priority has been educating the students. I don't know about that. Well, the Harvard-Yale game back in the 1910s. Oh, okay. Yeah, that one. Where the smartest people on earth are playing a game to wreck their brains, right? How smart are they?

That's fair. In the days when Army was actually a good football program. Hey, did you hear that Andrew Luck is going to be coaching now in high school? I did. I did hear that. I wish he was doing something else when it came to football, but I did hear he was coaching, yes.

That's a smart man. He said, listen, I'm not going to go out there and play. I'll coach somebody else to do it.

You know what? If he was playing for a better franchise, he'd still be there. Oh, yeah, if he wasn't getting knocked around to death. Too late. That's what happens when you start peeing blood, man.

Yeah, or you play for a wannabe rock star as an owner. Well, he was on his pain meds, so maybe he should have gave him the Andrew Luck. Anyway, let's get out of that. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. Ron, it's calling for Miami. Yes.

Wow. I'm just thinking, Coach, I agree with what you're saying, but if they thought he was getting a lot of talk this year, I'm just looking ahead of myself. Think about next season when Colorado goes into the Big 12 with no Oklahoma and no Texas, and his son will be Heisman Trophy candidate, Hunter will be Heisman Trophy candidate, transfers coming in, as you say. Probably ranked top ten, top five before the pre-season. That's when all the hype is going to really come next year. Yeah, that's what I say.

The potential is there. This is really the beginning. Thank you, Ron, for calling for Miami. We got Jackson calling from Raleigh in North Carolina. What's up, Jackson? Hey, how are you doing? Thanks for having me on the show. Sure, man.

What's up? Hey, so I totally agree that Coach Prime is changing the game. I mean, if you watch any of his son's social media videos on YouTube, you will definitely see that his players have completely bought into everything that he is saying. And it's not often you hear of a coach that can get a group of young teenagers to pretty much college students to buy into everything that he's spewing out. And it seems like it's working so far. We'll see what happens the rest of the season. But the connections and influence he brings to young minds, making it in this world, I think is worth it enough regardless of what their season record is at the end of the year. Oh, absolutely, Jackson.

Thank you for calling from Raleigh. And we talked about this last hour. Julio Rodriguez from the Mariners is talking about this dude. He's 21 years old, like he quoted Deon verbatim. Look good, play good. I'm like, what is what is Julio Rodriguez know about Deon?

Feel good, feel good, play good. OK, so that's him in a nutshell. Yeah.

What do you what do you know about it? You ain't seen him play. And so this guy moves past that. And as he just said from from Raleigh, you want to talk about inspiring the players. This is pretty much one of the first messages that Deon shared with his players when he got the job at Colorado. You tell me you wouldn't want to play for a dude who talks like this.

Listen to this. We didn't just bring you in here to just to just compete. We brought you here to dominate.

Am I right or wrong? Is there anything about me, any sense of life that I give you that I'm not here to dominate? We're not just here to win. We're here to dominate. I don't like the question. What do you think the record going to be? Well, shoot, I really want to say we don't win at all because that's the way I think.

But that gets controversial. Then I put y'all on the hook and I don't know if y'all built for that right now. We're going through the summer to see if you built for that. Who built for? Who built for? Who built to ride with me? Who built to get with me? Who built to talk that talk and walk that walk?

Who is built like that? I mean, damn it, if I had his resume and I looked up who he was and I never saw him play, I'd be like, well, damn, I need to be with him. 855-212-4CBS. Mike is calling from Boston. Come on, Mike, where you at? Mike fell into the river or ocean or something.

I don't know. I hope he's OK. Darryl is calling from D.C. You're on the JR Sport brief show. How are you doing, brother? I'm OK. How are you?

I'm doing great, man. Let me tell you something. Deion Sanders, man, I was telling you, man, he's like John Calipari, man. He took advantage of the rules and he's going to be bringing them all in from every school. Every coach should be scared right now. OK.

Interesting comparison. You see all the celebrities breaking in there. They get to meet Mike. Whatever position you play, I can bring somebody in there to talk to you, young man. Who do you want to meet?

Every coach should be scared right now. OK, thank you. I agree. Thank you, Darryl, for calling from D.C. Mike is calling from Fort Worth, Texas. What's up, Mike?

I really think that, Deion, I disagree with the guy that you have on your show that works with you. I'm sorry, I don't know his name. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. It's OK. His name is Shep. All right, Jeff, I'm sorry about that, brother. No disrespect.

I didn't catch your name. Hey, he's good for college football. I disagree that he's not.

The reason why I think he's good for college football is because we need to change the pace, man. It's always the same guys we're talking about. It's something new. It's exciting. And he's selling out crowds. Everybody's talking about college football right now. You've got to love that, man.

Yeah, you're right. Well, thank you, Mike, for calling from Fort Worth. I'm looking at Twitter right now. You can tweet me at JR Sport Brief. John Broder says Deion is taking over the sport and people are afraid.

Plain and simple. A guy who loves Kenny Pickett. Kenny Pickett season tweets me at JR Sport Brief. Just wait until Deion gets hired at a program with crazy money for NIL in a few years. He will be unstoppable if he does well at Colorado. He'll get a great job in the SEC or with a team that can be competitive in the S.E.C.

or with the S.E.C. 855-212-4CBS. Rowdy Rebel is calling from Mississippi. You're on the JR Sport Brief show. Good evening, JR. How's life been treating you? I'm alive, man. How are you?

I'm doing all right, buddy. You touched on about Ole Miss and the player a little earlier. And I want to enlighten you on this because I'm the biggest Ole Miss fan that there is. And this player that we're talking about, this was last year when he was on the team. He was missing a lot of practices, a lot of team meetings, this and that. And which eventually led to him not being on the team anymore. However, they kept him on his scholarship where he still kept getting all the benefits from the scholarship and all that. So they didn't just like just take everything away from him. He just wasn't on the team anymore.

Just like when I played football, if you don't come to practice and you don't come to team meetings, you're off the team. So fast forward to now, I don't think that he, his lawyer or whatever, or him, watch what this Michael Orr thing is going down. And he's thinking that they're going to settle at the end of the day. And then now, so he's thinking he's going to probably get the same deal. But I'm telling you, with this case with him, it's going to get last out of court because all what he's saying and the fact that, you know, he waited till a year from last year to a year. Oh, I had mental, had these mental problems.

You know, that's just, you know, there's no medical records proving that or anything. So it's really ridiculous to be honest. Well, that that's why that's why I mentioned it in passing and didn't spend five minutes on it. Right. Okay. That's fine. I just wanted to touch base with you. I had talked to you in a while.

Enjoy your show. Well, before you leave, let's talk about something that actually matters. Maybe. What's the score like tomorrow with Tech? Oh, well, we got a lot of injuries. Our Trey Harris and a few other guys that are, you know, big players with us are going to be hurt.

But I mean, I think so. We got a lot of depth. And I think that, you know, we'll still pull it out and, you know, then get our minds on Alabama. What's the score? What's the score? What's the score?

The score is going to be 45 17. Oh, yeah. Well, there you go. Thank you, man. Enjoy the game tomorrow. Are you going buddy? You have a good one, man. Are you going? Oh, yeah. I'm a season ticket holder.

Been been one for 30 years. I have fun. Have fun for me. You gonna drink some beer? Oh, yeah. And I told you, you got it. You got a standing invitation down here. Okay, I'll tell you all day long, too.

Yeah, that's fine. All the food, whatever you want. How many beers are you going to drink? How many beers you going to drink? Yeah, whatever you want to drink, JR. No, no. I know you like little Jack Daniels.

I'll even have that, too. Okay. Yeah.

Yeah. I drink. I brush my teeth with Jack Daniels. How many beers are you going to drink? Hey, man, I'll be I'll be having a shot of Jack Daniels with you, too.

I'll have another, you know, cold one and a little bit of beer and we'll have good food, too. You'll be treated like a king, I promise. Oh, well, thank you. I appreciate you, man. Take it easy. You too, buddy.

Bye bye. I like beer, too, but I don't like to feel bloated. I don't like that feeling. I don't like to go pee every five minutes. I go to the game and I want to watch the game.

I don't want to run to the restroom every five minutes. Who wants to do that? Shep, you don't like beer, right? You don't like beer? No, I like classy drinks like wine. Oh, all right.

That was that was unnecessary. I apologize. Oh, my. I like wine, too. I like a good Malbec. Oh, yeah.

Rosé, absolutely. Too sweet for me. Malbec. Pinot Noir? Say again. Pinot Noir?

No, no, no, no, no. I just I like Malbec. Go straight to Argentina. Get my stuff. Fair enough.

A little South African wine, too. Yeah, man. OK, I can drink beer to wine at Jack Daniels. Oh, yeah, I'm rolling, folks. I'm rolling. Not at the same time.

Not the same time. Eight, five, five, two, one, two, four CBS. Fred is calling from West Virginia. What's up, Fred? Hey, man, I want to thank you for taking my call and driving Toledo high back to the. You driving from Toledo? Oh, yeah, I drove back from Toledo up there working, driving back to the big state of West Virginia. What the hell were you doing in Toledo? Work, man, calling on the refineries. But OK, I've been to Toledo and I don't know, 20 years. I'd only go to have to check.

But go ahead. What's up, Fred? I got to tell you about Dion back before we hired our last or our current coach at WVU. We played, had to play against Dion when he was in college. And there were so many people that called into our state line sports line, encouraging WVU to seriously try to get Dion to come to West Virginia. Well, before he even thought about Colorado. And I tell you what, we're so pissed off because they didn't pursue him now. And if you look at the history, there's been a lot of good coaches that have come from West Virginia, saving and all.

You can just go down the list. He could have had a home here. And I'm telling you what, we're we're sick to our stomach or what that man stands for.

And and that he didn't they didn't pursue him because he would have had a home in West Virginia. Yeah. Well, let's see how long he stays where he's at now. Not to say that he's going to go out there your way. But yeah, I know.

I think I think it would be ridiculous for him to go to the NFL because the NFL players are not going to listen to him as much as the young players will. And he's given back. You were right. One caller before that complimented you and all that. That's what Deion Sanders is about.

Given back and given the praise to the band upstairs. OK. Yeah. I mean, he's he's he's walking it right now. Well, thank you, Fred, for calling from West Virginia. You be safe on your drive.

I hear the GPS back there. OK. Oh, yeah. Thank you for keeping me awake, man.

No problem. I'm trying my best. Yeah. I know people be driving. Nothing worse than driving on the road and you flipping through. See, I'm a I'm a tell on myself now. I didn't just pop up on the radio like I'd listen to.

Well, not as much now. But I'll be on the road to where I used to be. I'd be on the road driving.

I drive all times a day, early in the morning, late at night. You want to turn on some sports radio. There ain't nothing worse than listening to sports radio and somebody is putting you to sleep.

Sounds like the Charlie Brown teacher. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.

And it's a drone. You're like, damn it, I got to eat. I got to put on some music.

My goal is for you not to fall asleep. I got to say something stupid. Do I got to put an idiot on the air? I got to make a joke. I'm going to do it.

It's the J.R. sport show here on CBS Sports Radio. Yeah. Me, the idiot. I'll be back on the other side of the break.

And you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to share with you some numbers, some stats. We're going to talk about the state and the city here. And the United States of America that produces the best football talent. Hey, Shep, what state do you think pushes the best talent? Well, just give me a guess. Don't just give a guess. It would be Texas.

Does Texas produce the most and best football talent? We're going to talk about it. I'm going to tell you who it is on the other side of the break. It's the J.R. sport show CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the J.R. sport brief on CBS Sports Radio. First time caller had to pull over to the side of the road just to make sure I didn't miss my opportunity.

I want you to know that I appreciate your candor. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the J.R. sport brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. 855-212-4CBS. Before we went to the show, I wanted to tell you a little bit about the show. J.R. sport brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio.

855-212-4CBS. Before we went to the break, I told you about a study that was recently put out. I guess it's called a study.

I don't know. It's information. I'm going to share some information with you. And it's about the cities and the states that produce the most NFL talent. So I have a few numbers here that I want to share with you.

If you proudly proclaim that your city has the best football, the best talent, I may have some things that change your mind. So let's start off with the state first. I asked Shep before we went to break if he had to take a guess what state produces the most NFL talent. And let's think about this.

I'll break it down even more. If you have to think about the current players in the NFL here at the start of the season, those are the numbers that we're going by. So we're going by players who are actively in the NFL and where they're from. And so when it comes down to the state that has produced the most NFL players on rosters right now, Shep, you said what state? Texas. And Shep, you are 100% correct.

Listen to this. Texas has the most players on NFL rosters right now of any state, 187. That's followed by Florida, 178. California, 173. And Georgia, 150. Georgia is the only state, the last state, that has more than 100 folks. And so that's in order. More NFL players from Texas, then Florida, California, and then Georgia. OK. Now, this one might be a little trickier, Shep.

You ready for this one? Yes. OK. If you have to think about cities in particular, what city has produced the most active NFL talent right now? Well, same logic. I mean, you would say big cities in Austin or Dallas or Austin, Dallas.

Those would be my two. OK. That, surprisingly, is not correct. Fort Worth? Nope.

It is not near Texas at all. Wrong region. Nope. You want to keep going?

Sure. Can you give me I mean, I mean, are we talking West Coast? Are we talking, you know, Midwest? East Coast?

Midwest. Columbus? Ohio? Nope. Ann Arbor? Nope. Nebraska? No. There's more West.

That's true. You're not going to get this, man. No. Do most people know the city? Everybody knows the city. Oh, damn.

Then I should really get it. Can you give me another hint? Like someone that played in the city or grew up in the city that's known for the city? If I give you the name, it's just going to give it away. OK. You ready?

Can you give me a subtle hint? Eminem. Oh, how did I not get Detroit? 19 players from Detroit high schools are on NFL rosters for opening week. That is the most from any city in the NFL right now. 19 players from Detroit high schools are currently on NFL rosters.

And that includes the reigning rookie defensive player of the year, Sauce Gartner. He actually gave a shout out to Detroit during the NFL Honors Awards. If you didn't hear it on the NFL Network, this is what Sauce Gartner had to say about coming from Detroit.

Listen. I got to thank Detroit. The east side of Detroit, man. Damn.

Seven Mile. You know, it was hard growing up, man. It really was. And the neighborhood I stayed in, you know, a lot of violence going on. But, you know, that was just adversity.

That's what it took for me to get here, man. So there were 19 players or there are 19 players from Detroit high schools on active NFL rosters to start this season. The next closest cities. Bradenton, Florida is just south of Tampa.

Here you go, Shep. Houston, Texas. They had their third at 16. You go from Houston with 16. Las Vegas, Las Vegas, 15 players from Las Vegas. Miami, 14 players. And here where I live, Atlanta, we got 14 players who have come out of Atlanta.

Then we go on from 14. Cincinnati, Ohio, 11 players. Plantation, Florida, 11. Tampa, 11. Cleveland, Ohio, 10. Indianapolis, 10. Jacksonville, 10. New Orleans, 10. St. Louis, 10.

And so to reiterate, Texas. For active NFL rosters right now, Texas as a state has produced the most NFL players. But if you have to think about a city, surprisingly Detroit is in the lead. 19 players from Detroit in the NFL right now. Houston, third. Bradenton, Florida behind that 17, right second place behind Detroit. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. Josh is here from Dallas. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. Hey, how you doing? I appreciate you having me.

Sure. I was just wanting to talk about your topic about the NFL players in the region. Where's Dallas on that list?

Which one? For city? Yeah, for the city. Not even 10 players active from Dallas. It's not even here on the list.

This was cultivated by CBS. Dallas is even here. I'm sorry, I wonder if on that list if they're being real specific to the city of Dallas or like the suburbs of Dallas. I feel like, you know, I can think about the top of my head at least five coming out of the metroplex right here between DeSoto and Fort Worth. Yeah, well it is going by city. It's not going by region here. It's going by city. Like I mean, damn it, if I have to think about Atlanta, Atlanta technically as a city runs almost as a sliver, but if I have to think about Atlanta metro, it gets absolutely ridiculous.

It's sprawling. Oh, okay. So that very well might be a case.

That's a good point. I feel like in the last few years, Dallas has just, or the DFW area, I won't even count Fort Worth, but the Dallas area has just been popping out NFL talent like crazy. Well, I think that goes to your point of, I think, which we all pretty much know if you got to look at the state that Texas leads the state and their head of Florida, California, and in Georgia, those are the, those are the top four. Yeah, if I had to guess, I would have guessed, if you hadn't told me, my guess was Texas and then Florida.

Florida's right there. Yeah, absolutely. Well, thank you so much for calling. I appreciate you keeping me up.

I'm a truck driver, so I love listening to these late nights. Appreciate you. No doubt, man. You be safe out there, okay? I appreciate you.

All right, peace out. Shout out to Josh for calling from Dallas. I'll take more of your calls. That's 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. To the shock and surprise of no one, Texas has produced the most active NFL talent. To the surprise of maybe some or most, Detroit as a city has the most talent in the NFL right now.

I'm going to get some more of your calls before I roll out, and then I actually have to show love. A lot of times we talk about how bad there are so many, well, we talk about bad owners in professional sports. There's an owner in sports right now who is actually giving something away to the fans that they can use for more than sports.

Oh, yeah, that's a trick you want to think about. I'll tell you about it on the other side. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. How you doing, JR? I enjoy listening to you when I'm on the road, driving back. You always make a lot of sense, and you're funny as hell. You really have a lot of substance to you. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here on CBS Sports Radio.

I'm going to get to your phone calls in a second before we roll out. I do have to say this. We spend a lot of time, and sports fans in general, talking about the terrible owners that we have in sports. Thank God one of them is no longer owning the commanders that happens to be Daniel Snyder. But I got to show love to an owner right now. He just bought the Phoenix Suns earlier this year.

His name is Matt Ishbia. He bought the Suns. The next thing you know, he's bringing in Kevin Durant.

The next thing you know, he's like, okay, now let's bring in Bradley Beal. And let's get rid of this old man, Chris Paul. And oh, yeah, I'm just paying for everybody. I don't care how much anything costs.

Let's go for it all. And so one of the things that he did earlier this season, instead of keeping the Suns on cable, where we know there's been a lot of controversy in cable companies, people had cutting the cord, not being able to pay their bills, and Ballydiamond going bankrupt. He said, I'm going to put the Phoenix Suns on regular television, over the air TV, not behind a paywall. If you want to stream them, you can also stream them. But if you are in the Phoenix metropolitan area, you can get the Phoenix Suns over the air.

Wow. I feel like for the past 30 years, maybe plus now, if you've wanted to watch your professional sports team, your local team, the majority of their games have been on cable TV. You've had to pay for it. I think it sucks. We know that sports viewing is changing on and on and on. But to go back to have the games for free, oh my God, he is widening the scope of his viewership. Amazing. I hope this happens all over the country. But let me tell you something else.

He has taken it a step further. Not only are the games in Phoenix, in the metropolitan area, going to be on over the air television, the Phoenix Suns are giving away TV antennas to fans. To fans, they are giving away antennas.

If you are in the area out in Phoenix, you can fill out a form and the Suns are going to ship you an antenna for free. Matt Ishbia, make me a fan. And I don't, look, great marketing, great way to build a fan base, a great way to also bring in new sponsors with the additional eyeballs.

Absolutely amazing. I hope the business model works. I hope this is not a hustle. Everything is a little bit of a hustle.

But I hope this works and I hope this spreads all over the United States of America. Because let's be real, you want to watch your team. For me, for instance, I don't pay for cable no more. But I've had cable. I've paid for it to watch sports. I don't want to do that crap. Shout outs to the Suns.

Shout outs to Matt Ishbia. Send me an antenna. And yeah, yeah, nowadays, I know a lot of people haven't done it, there's digital antennas. And so if you got a digital TV HD, I'm pretty sure maybe you've seen one in Walgreens or CVS or wherever, man, you get a digital antenna.

And they're not expensive. I don't know. $15, $10, $20, $25. Look, send me one for free, please.

Shout outs to the Suns. 855-212-4CBS. Shep, you want an antenna? No. Damn, why not?

It's a great ingenuity and selflessness, but I'm good. Damn. You're too busy for antennas these days. To watch sports? You watch sports?

You got to talk about it. Well, I stream. Well, if you watch the sports for free over antenna, what's the difference?

I have not watched the TV in probably like five years. Oh, well, there you go. Right.

Do you have one? No. Oh, well, see, there you go. You don't need an antenna. Well, that's different. Exactly. Exactly. I got TVs.

I'll take antennas. Give me all of them. Glad he's not flopping these days, by the way. Flopping?

Ishbia? Yeah. What, from when he played? No, from Nikolai Jokic. Jokic? Oh, you mean when he got pushed. I was like, nobody watched this dude at Michigan. He didn't play. No. Where's he at?

State, right? Exactly. He was making up for theatrics when it came to being an owner for the first time. Ah, well, ain't nobody thinking about that.

He can flop all he wants. He going to send people free stuff. That's true. Could you imagine how Steinbrenner's saying, hey, everybody in New York City, if you want to watch the Yankees, I'm going to send you a free antenna. Could you imagine that? Uh, no.

Come on. That's what he's doing. Yeah. Like, that's, that's amazing. That's, could you imagine, what's that idiot's name?

James Dolan. I was about to say, yeah. Could you imagine him putting the Knicks on, let's say, I don't know, I was going to say UPN, it doesn't exist. Yeah. Could you imagine him putting the Knicks on Channel 9 and then sending everybody in New York an antenna? He would give everyone in New York an antenna, but there'd be trackers in that antenna. Oh, well, yeah.

Yeah, he's a jerk. 855-212-4CBS, Justin is calling from, I don't know where you, wait, Justin, where you calling from, Florida? South Carolina.

Oh, South Carolina. What's on your mind, man? What's up? I know you were talking, first, thanks for having me on. I know it's late trying to get out of there. You were talking about high school football.

Me, it's not late for me, but I'm not, I'm not, nothing late for me. Go ahead. I just wanted to bring up one little stat. And when you're talking about the actual schools that produce the most talent and the most players, you can't forget about Michael Irvin's school in Southeast Florida, St. Thomas Aquinas. I think that the school alone has 14 playing in the NFL this year, and I think they have 45 total that have come from that one school. So not just the city, but the school itself has 45.

What are you talking about? Active? 14 active, but they've had 45 total.

No, no, forget, forget historically. What city is that? St. Thomas Aquinas is in Fort Lauderdale. They're at 7 or 8A. So how many?

It's not here on the list. They have 14 total this year starting as of 2014. High school cities, high school cities with the most NFL players. Detroit, 19. Bradenton, 17. Houston, 16. Vegas, 15. Atlanta, 14. Miami, 14. Cincinnati, Ohio, 11.

I don't know if they grouped them in with Miami because it's Southeast Florida, but you might want to just look it up. Possibly. St. Thomas Aquinas. Okay. Well, to be honest, I'm not all that interested.

If you find out, let me know, okay? All right, my friend. You guys have a good night.

You too, man. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be a jerk.

I'm just like, I'm not going to start gerrymandering, you know, districts and schools. I don't care. Minus is calling from D.C. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Yeah. How are you doing? I'm good. Go ahead.

Yeah, yeah, okay. Deion Sanders. You know, it's prime time is a lot.

Everybody talks about his height, but he's got a great spirit. I mean, if you listen to him talk about the guy that's in jail and his son who he's taking care of, this is just Deion. He's making a family for it. That whole team, his family, all those kids are like his sons. He's asking for the most for him.

He wants the best one. Some of those kids and one of the kids on I think it's one of the receivers has been with him since he was in Little League football. So it's it's he's creating a family atmosphere. He's that dad that a lot of these kids don't have, you know, and and he's taking care of him. He cares. That's what people assume.

That's what those kids know. Deion's going to put him in the best situation to make him the best. He's finding the talent, but he's also developing the talent. You know, he's in he is in.

This is what Deion was meant to do. And see, that's what that's what a lot of people mean. He found his place in the world. You know what I mean? Yes. And when you find your place in the world, you're doing what God has called you to do.

That's what you see when you see Deion. Beautiful. I mean, he's speaking from confidence, but he's also speaking from a place of, hey, this is who I am. This is what I do. This is my purpose in life to help people, to make young people better. All right. Well, thank you, Minus. I appreciate you, man. Yeah, no problem. I appreciate you. Nice listening to your show. Well, thank you.
