Here's the deal. The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to avoid a 2-0 hole, an 0-2 hole I should say, in the Western Conference Finals. With about three and a half minutes left in the game, the Denver Nuggets lead 99 to 94.

They're trying to go back to Los Angeles with a 2-0 series lead. The Lakers, they've had a lead. They maintained a lead. It seems for the majority of this game here, especially going into the second half of it, the Lakers at one point led by 11 points. The Denver Nuggets have been able to swing that. They now lead by five. We will keep you up to date with this game and this matchup as LeBron James and Anthony Davis try to avoid that 0-2 hole. We opened up the show and if you missed it, hit rewind on the free Odyssey app.

We talked about the Heat and the Celtics and how great of a job the Heat were doing despite being underdogs. We talked about the Washington commanders and that sale not going to a vote next week amongst the owners. The owners will be in Minneapolis, I believe, for their spring meetings and the vote will have to wait for another time where it's pretty much ratified and agreed upon that Daniel Snyder will get the hell up on out the league and that Josh Harris, who already owns the 76ers and the Devils, that he will go ahead and take over the commanders.

It's already been agreed a little more than $6 billion and it's a wild world there. As we continue on with the show, if you want to talk to me, it's 855-212-4CBS. There are a few other things I want to get into as we continue on. I'll definitely keep you up to date with Denver and the Los Angeles Lakers. I do want to get into the Oakland A's and that move to Vegas. It's like the A's want money, they want everybody and their mother to pay for their new stadium, even in Vegas. The Coyotes might be moving on from Arizona. We just got a lot of moving and shaking right now.

We also have a lot of legends in the world of sports who are not in the best of shape for various reasons. 855-212-4CBS. You can also hit me up. I'm at JR Sportbrief everywhere. Let's go to the beautiful city of Toronto and check in with Bill.

You're on the JR Sportbrief Show. How are you, Bill? I'm doing well, JR. How about yourself?

I'm excellent, man. What's up? I just want to kind of chime in on, well, actually I don't know if you know this and you probably do. I didn't catch the update, to be honest with you, but Florida just beat Carolina in overtime, 3-2. We're continuing the Cinderella story here with 8's over higher seed and whatnot and the Heat, of course, doing the same thing to the Celtics. It's crossing over big time, which I think is good for the parity of all the different sports and the fact that anybody can win if they get in, so to speak. But as far as hockey goes, and I know popularity-wise it's a fourth-lagger of the big four in popularity, at least in the States and Canada, of course it's not. But honestly, it is the best sport in the world as far as excitement goes, as far as overall talent goes, as far as these guys busting their hump for 82 games a season, and then going into the playoffs and playing four rounds of four out of seven to win the Stanley Cup. It is ridiculous, and there isn't a guy out there that is playing healthy at this point, and yet they're playing at the top of their game. You compare it to the NBA, unfortunately, as we all know and we talk about constantly, the regular season doesn't matter. These guys float through the regular season, and then they go into the playoffs, and that's why Miami and Butler and those guys are doing so well, because all of a sudden they turn it on, and some guys can't. But hockey, there's no off-shifts. It's like football, of course, every play is to itself. But hockey, there's no off-shifts and you're playing at a top speed, and as you're aware, I'm sure skating and stick handling and all that stuff and holding chacks is the toughest thing to do, and I played all multi-sports, and it's certainly the greatest game on earth. Yeah, that's a matter of opinion. You're certainly entitled to that. I think we would have a few hundred, well, not a few hundred, but we'd have a few billion people who might disagree with you, but you're certainly entitled to that, Bill.

I understand that, but that's popularity-wise again, because they haven't had the exposure, the mass majority. Well, Bill, I think you said if they had the experience, Bill, if you did not live in Toronto and I dropped you off into Rio de Janeiro, or I dropped you off into Colombia, or I dropped you off into the Netherlands, then I think that you would probably say the same thing reverse about soccer. And so we can start looking at that. I love soccer, Jer.

I played highly competitive soccer. Bill, stop. Talk. Bill, dammit.

I let Bill speak uninterrupted for about a minute and a half, and Bill is like, let me speak, Bill. You done? Yes. Thank you. You have an opinion.

That's fine. What I'm telling you is, and all I'm saying, and this is true, this is not a matter of opinion, there are billions of people who would hold a different opinion about hockey. And what you just said was, well, their opinion would be different if they were exposed. Well, I mean, you live in Toronto. And so, I mean, if you did not live in Toronto and you grew up somewhere else, there's a very good chance that you would feel differently. That's why it's a matter of opinion.

You know, I think there's a great majority of planet Earth, probably more than we actually need, that have no exposure to damn ice unless it's coming out of a fridge. You understand, Bill? No, I do. That's what I'm saying, Jer. It has nothing to do with the whole game and the level of skill that it takes to play that game.

That's what I'm saying. It does not matter because hockey, I played them all. I played soccer, I had friends that played pro, all those things, okay? And I played football, all that stuff.

I love the bills and sabers that you put on. Are you Bill or are you Bo Jackson? Which one are you? No, I played multiple sports, Jer, and I was an athlete, okay? And my pro was a pro and so on and so forth. It's not to brag or anything like that.

It's just the fact that I played them all. You were a pro? Bill, Bill. I said my uncle was a pro.

Okay. Your uncle was a pro what? Yes, hockey player. He was a pro hockey player?

And was your uncle Bo Jackson? No, but I had peers that played the NFL and I had peers that played and won the Stanley Cup and all that stuff as well. So, Bill, what I'm saying to you is I also have, well, I got a crap ton of friends who play every professional sport on planet Earth. I also talk about all the sports on planet Earth. I think for the most part I have covered and participated all across the world in everything from tennis to wrestling to boxing to track and field.

I think I have covered the gamut. I have been on the field with the USA rugby team. I have talked to Pele. I have spoken to LeBron James.

I have talked to Manny Pacquiao and Kobe and that is, that's factual. So, we can go back and forth as to who knows who and who knows what. No, no, I'm not doing that. My only point, hold on, Bill. You're calling me from Toronto about hockey. Listen to me.

If pigs had wings, they would be birds, but they're not. And so everybody is entitled to their own opinion. If you feel hockey is the greatest sport because you played it and everybody else is missing out, then that's fine. That's your opinion. I think there are a lot of people who would look at soccer and tell you the opposite. But you know what?

It's all a matter of what you're exposed to. And that's the point, Bill. Thank you for calling from Toronto. One thing that I will never do here on the show, regardless of what I like or don't like, I ain't got no problem with hockey. I like hockey a lot. Do I watch it as often? No, I don't. Because there's not as much interest in it from the majority of the country of which I talk to.

Here's the deal. Every sport is amazing. To sit and say, oh, this one is better than this one or this requires more skill is to not appreciate what everybody is doing.

Can we just enjoy it? Hockey is better than soccer. And if people who played soccer or watched soccer, if they were exposed to hockey, then they would realize or they would understand that it's the best. I've played every sport because I'm an athlete and my uncle was a pro in the NHL.

And I know football players in the NFL. Like, stop. This is the beautiful thing about athletics. That human beings are built to move. And if you can go out and actually, you know, master something, then just go do it. I mean, I could sit here right now and have a whole conversation with the whole country about whether or not NASCAR is a sport.

You know, Rafael Nadal, he won't be participating in the French Open because he has a hip injury. Man, you'll have people who tell you, oh, tennis, not all that rigorous is why old people play it. Man, just can we appreciate what people do? Well, hockey is the best of the sports. For you, hockey is the best.

And if other people watched it or played it, they would understand it. Then you go around the world giving away pucks. Let's go drop off a puck in the Congo. Hey, let's just drop off a puck, I don't know, in Medellin. Let's go to Jamaica and drop off a puck.

Hey, you know what? While we're at it, let's stop by Hong Kong. Let's give them a puck too.

So the rest of the world can realize how great hockey is. I can tell you something that is great. Denver Nuggets are great. They just held on to beat the Los Angeles Lakers.

108 to 103. The Denver Nuggets now have a 2-0 series lead. The Lakers look to be in control going into the second half. At one point, the Lakers led by 11 points. And the Nuggets bounce back.

They go to LA with a 2-0 series lead. Jamal Murray completely loses his mind here in the second half of the game. 27 points in the second half. He finished the game with 37 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. He caught fire, 6 of 14 from deep. He scored 23 points in the fourth quarter. Knocking down 4 threes to help them get this victory and take a 2-0 series lead.

LeBron James ain't looking too happy walking off the court. He finishes with 22 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds. Anthony Davis had a crap game.

18 points, 14 rebounds, but he was 4 of 15 from the field. 8-5-5, 2-1-2, 4 CBS. That's 8-5-5, 2-1-2, 4 CBS. The Denver Nuggets, they just did it. They beat the Lakers 108 to 103. Denver leads 2-0 in this series. Let's see if the Lakers can snatch 2 at home.

Otherwise, they're going to be cooked. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. We're going to take a break. When we come back on the other side, we'll hear the plays. We'll hear from some of the players. And as we continue on with the night, most certainly, we're going to hear from a Jamal Murray, a Jokic, a LeBron, Anthony Davis. Let's hear what excuses they have as Jamal Murray erupts tonight for 37 points. We're going to hear the plays on the other side. Shout-outs to everybody in Denver.

Pretty happy right now. Two games away from the NBA Finals. It's the JR Sport Brief Show on CBS Sports Radio. Don't move.

We'll get in deeper on the other side. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio.

Hey, JR. Thanks for taking my call. I'm a first-time call with a long-time listener, so first and foremost, I want to say I love the show. I enjoy it.

It helps me get home at night when I'm taking the late shift at my job. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here on CBS Sports Radio. Seconds ago, minutes ago.

It's done. The Denver Nuggets now have a 2-0 series lead against the Los Angeles Lakers. The final score, 108-103. At one point, the Los Angeles Lakers led by 11 points going into halftime. The Lakers led over the Nuggets, 53-48.

But then the tide turned. Jamal Murray completely lost his mind here. He finished the game with 37 points. Keep in mind, last game he had 31, but we'll get into that. Jamal Murray, 37 points tonight, 23 points in the fourth quarter. Jamal Murray walked away from this game knocking down six threes. He took 14 of them.

He was on fire. This is quite the opposite from the Los Angeles Lakers who, as a team, they launched 33s and they only made eight of them. Anthony Davis coming off of a 40-10 type game.

Not the same tonight. 18 points, 14 rebounds. He was 4-15 from the field. LeBron James had 22 points. LeBron missed all six of his three-point attempts. Austin Reeves did his job tonight. 22 points with five threes. He was the most efficient Laker. And then Rui Hachimura had 17 points in the first half.

He finished with 21. But they could not contain Jamal Murray. They went on a run.

And then they ultimately won the game. I want you to take a listen from these clips from the Nuggets radio network as Jamal Murray just caught fire like it was NBA Jam. This was a three in the fourth quarter and it put the Nuggets up by one. Shoves Shruder out of the way. He's at the bottom part of the midcourt circle. Right side over to Porter. Back over to Murray. Somebody do something on the offensive end. Murray three. Yes. Denver leads it by one.

Yeah, they led by one. 84 to 83. Well, you know what happens if Jamal Murray knocks down another three? The lead extends some more.

Listen to this. Murray has it. He goes to the left hand.

He stops inside the arc. Back on top. Jeff Green. Back over to Murray. Five on the clock. Murray against Anthony Davis. He got to shoot it for three.

Yeah! Timeout Lakers. Denver up by four. Up by four. You know Jamal Murray didn't score every single point, although he had 24 of them.

Bruce Brown got in on the action as well. Tonight he had 12 points off the bench, but he decided to bury his own shot and put him up by seven. Loose ball down to Nicole Jokic. Jokic left side. Brown at a three.

Let's go! Triple-double Nicole Jokic. His seventh this postseason. Denver leads it by seven. By seven.

Pretty hilarious. And then Jamal Murray. He's still getting busy. He knocked down another three at this point to put the Nuggets up by nine. Murray working against Hachimura. Five on the clock to Jokic. Back to Murray. Murray goes to the right hand. He gets jumped by LeBron. Takes a three.

That was good! Nuggets up by nine. Jamal Murray left for the dead in the first half.

Has come alive. Oh, Michael Porter Jr. Did I mention him? Sixteen points tonight. He went four of seven from downtown, including this one.

Jokic inside the arc, hands it off to Porter for three. Yes! Now we go!

Now we go! Denver by 12, their big lead of the game! Timeout Lakers!

This was pretty bad. I told you Jamal Murray had 23 points in the fourth quarter. He almost matched the Lakers. The Lakers had 24 points.

He had 23. Here's a couple more shots. Listen to this one. Bruce Brown has it, bottom part of the mid-court circle. Throws it left side over to Natole Jokic. Jokic hands it off to Murray, another three. Got it again! Starks slow!

And you finish strong! Denver back in the lead by 12. Oh, damn it.

You know what? Here's another one. Throws it off over to Brown. Left side now is Jamal Murray, guarded by Schroeder. Schroeder gets a pick. Jumper good for Jamal Murray.

Great pick by Natole Jokic. Less than three minutes to go in the basketball game. Nuggets lead it by seven.

Yeah, everything can't be a three. Yeah, let's hit the fast-forward button to the conclusion. This is the final call from the Nuggets radio network. Lakers inbound over to LeBron. Here comes the freight train across the timeline.

Kicked his pocket clean did Bruce Brown. And Denver's going to win game number two. There's the horn! Denver takes a commanding two-games-to-nothing lead in the Western Conference Finals. Game three will take place on Saturday night in Los Angeles. Tomorrow will be a travel day and we will see if the Los Angeles Lakers can, I don't want to say, get back into this series.

Damn it, they got to tie it up. And even if they pick up a game and Denver goes up 3-1, we know it's going to be curtains. The Lakers are 0-4 on the road against the Nuggets all season long.

That includes the regular season as well. Mr. Jamal Murray, Mr. 37 points, Mr. 24 points in the fourth quarter. He spoke to Lisa Salters after the game on ESPN.

Take a listen to this. Jamal, how were you able to hold them off down the stretch? I mean, they fought, you know. They touched us, they pushed the ball. They made shots late.

They switched it up, I just thought we stayed disciplined even when our runs were able to adjustment game and make the necessary adjustments. So I thought we did a good job executing. You seem exhausted.

You played the entire second half. I know you haven't been feeling great. How are you feeling right now? I feel better we won, you know.

A win is a win, so I'm good after this, you know. You went off in the fourth quarter, 23 points. Just what changed for you in that fourth quarter?

Just locking in. I missed some really good looks in the first half. My team told me to keep shooting. I was getting the looks I wanted.

We knew we were there at four, so. Good thing is I didn't stop shooting. You know, the team kept pounding me and I was there to knock them down down the stretch. Everybody talks about Jokic with good reason. Oh, I can have 30 points and 20 rebounds and, you know, 10 plus assists. Jamal Murray had 31 points in the first game. Tonight, Jamal Murray finishes with 37. He gives you 24 points in the fourth quarter and they could not stop him. So many conversations about Anthony Davis and how is he going to help defend Nikola Jokic. Jamal Murray is the one who went off tonight. Even though Jokic had another triple-double. Oh, life is so easy for Jokic. It's Jamal Murray also contributing 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

Jamal Murray getting busy. The Los Angeles Lakers, they are undefeated at home. Are they going to tie this series up?

It's a possibility. But Denver walking away or going in and not picking up a win to walk out 3-1? I picked the Lakers here. I think the Lakers can win at home. But it's really in favor of the Nuggets right now.

There is no denying that. 855-212-4CBS. That's 855-212-4CBS. Adrian is calling from Houston, Texas. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. Go ahead, Adrian.

What happened? Is he getting yelled at by his wife live on the radio? Well, we dumped that part of it. I believe so. We do have Mike Malone coming up eventually. He's going to speak. You're going to hear from him shortly, JR. So I have a feeling he's not going to be interrupted by his wife. Especially after going up 2-0 in the series.

Yeah, I'm sure his wife is in a nice house right now. Happy that he won the game. Not getting yelled at live on the radio. And I bet she actually respects him unlike the media which doesn't respect the Nuggets according to Mike Malone. You got to build up a case to get your guys going.

Anything to get you riled up. Jamal Murray did not need the help tonight. 37 points. Jamal Murray absolutely goes off in the Denver Nuggets take a 2-0 series lead. Yes, Mike Malone is speaking to the media. Darvin Ham just finished chatting with the media. Michael Porter Jr. just spoke. We're going to hear from them on the other side of the break as Denver goes up 2-0. It's the JR Sport Brief Show on CBS Sports Radio. I'm going to get to your calls if you want to talk to me. 855-212-4CBS. Here, do yourself a favor.

Not me. If your wife is going to curse you out or your girlfriend or whoever the hell she is. If she's going to curse you out on the radio, don't call me.

Just put the phone down and worry about your house first. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. First of all, one of the most well-rounded shows on sports talk radio. You have it. Don't change anything. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief.

Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. Oh yeah, you hear the Snoop Dogg in the back. Ain't no fun if the homies can't have none. Los Angeles Lakers are hoping that they can find some fun back home in Los Angeles. Because against the Denver Nuggets, they lost both games.

They are now down in the series, 0-2. Denver wins tonight, 108-103. Jamal Murray erupts for 37 points. He has 23 points in the fourth quarter.

He loses his mind. So he has 23 points in the fourth. The Lakers score 24. Like he basically matched the entire team's output as Denver is really in charge. They win one game here in Los Angeles. If they win one game, they have an opportunity to just go back to Denver. Close the series out.

Let's see if they can do it. LeBron James certainly, he's not the player that he used to be. We know that. He's still one of the best players in the game. LeBron James goes for 22 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds in 40 minutes. Still absolutely ridiculous how he can put up these types of numbers. But a younger LeBron from a few years ago, we know his scoring output would have been much higher. The Lakers needing to rely on Anthony Davis, who was only 4 of 15 from the field, putting up 18 points.

Marvin Ham, he just spoke to the media. And somehow, someway, he's found the silver lining here. And he knows the series isn't over yet.

Listen to this. In terms of the efficiency, I mean, we were aggressive. Came out a whole lot better than we did in game one. Again, the increments in which we're improving as the series goes on, albeit it's only been two games. We did a lot of good things out there tonight. We had some walls that they were able to take advantage of. Did a great job defensively in that first half.

Majority of the third. And then, you know, kind of got out of rhythm offensively. And they caught fire.

And that combination usually leads to your demise. But, you know, proud of our guys. They bounced back. They addressed a lot of things that we said we were going to try to do better. Still got to be better in transition D. But overall, the energy was there. The effort was there.

The urgency was there. We just caught a bad stretch. Caught a bad. This is not a cold. It's not the flu.

It's not a virus. A bad stretch? Nah, y'all didn't catch a bad stretch, man. Y'all had one. Y'all were eight of 30 from three.

The Denver Nuggets, they were lighting it up. Michael Porter Jr. had four threes. Jamal Murray had six.

Bruce Brown had two. They were knocking down shots and y'all stunk. The whole fourth quarter was the Jamal Murray show. That's not catching a bad break. That's not playing defense. We just caught a bad stretch. Maybe there was so much of an emphasis on stopping Nikola Jokic that they forgot that Jamal Murray dropped 31 points. And tonight he goes off and he gives you 37.

Darvin Hamm continued on and they might have caught a bad stretch. He said that there is something they need to be worried about. Well, what is it Darvin? Tell me. First of all, you know, respect to them. They did what they were supposed to do.

Take care of their home floor. Hell serve. You know, and now it's on us to fill our cups back up and go do what we need to do on our home floor. Starting with game three. That's all we need to be concerned about is game three. Oh.

Okay, it's true. You can't go back and change what took place in game one or two. Is Jamal Murray going to go for 37 at home? I don't think so. I would imagine the Lakers are going to win at least one game at home. Are they going to tie the series up?

They can do it, but I wouldn't bet on it. 855-212-4CBS. Donald is calling from South Carolina. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show.

What's on your mind, Donald? JR. I mean, listen. Jamal Murray, 37 points, 23 in the fourth, right? I mean, all year the guy has to play behind Jokic. Everybody talks about him being, you know, the best. Listen, Murray is sneaky good, but he might be the best Kentucky player in the league.

That's my opinion. I mean, when you got Devin Booker running around, that might be tough. Devin Booker is great. I saw him personally play at South Carolina. He is amazing, but Murray is so good.

Okay. But LeBron, he needs to be in the paint. If he's going to win, he needs to be in the paint.

That's just the bottom line. You saw it happen. Game six, he played in the paint, they won. That was the best game he played in the series, in my opinion. Well, LeBron James, and thank you, Donald, for calling from South Carolina. LeBron had plenty of opportunities tonight in transition, in the paint. And it wasn't just LeBron missing, you know, six threes. LeBron James had some turnovers. LeBron James missed some layups. At one point, LeBron James went straight to the basket for his patented reverse slam that we've seen countless times. And there was nothing in his way but air and opportunity. And the ball slipped out of his hands midair as he was getting ready to go for the reverse.

And it went over the baseline and it went out of bounds. And so LeBron James had his chances in the paint, and unfortunately at times he wasn't able to convert. He did have some slam dunks.

He did move in transition. LeBron James is still a freak of nature, but he going to need some help. And Anthony Davis, for all of the great games that we have seen from him, we know Anthony Davis can put up decent numbers but still lay an egg.

And that's what he did tonight. 18 points, 14 rebounds is not going to cut it for the Los Angeles Lakers. Not when Anthony Davis takes 15 shots and only makes four of them.

That's not going to do it, man. He took three threes. He was one of three from downtown.

But Anthony Davis, man, you can't go out there missing all them damn shots and expect to win. 855-212-4CBS. Greg is here from Michigan. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. JR, so sobering, Mr. Positive.

So, it sounds like with your inflection it looks like it's basically over and I have to agree. But what bothers me, my friend, is the trolls on Facebook, putting them down. Here is a man for 20 years, a level of greatness that we'll never see again. They put them down. Oh, Lebom. Jordan would never let this happen.

Jordan or Kobe wouldn't let this happen. You don't realize, it's so depressing. I just want to slam these trolls and go, why don't you do it at 39? Why don't you make a billion dollars?

Why don't you develop a school for children in Ohio? Why don't you do like my buddy JR does, Agents of Inclusion? Really? Really?

This is what you got? JR is just frustrated. Hey, Greg, save yourself some time. Stay away from the internet, man. I hear you, my friend. Love you. Go for your dreams, everybody, and have a great night.

Thank you, Greg, for calling from Michigan. People have been bashing LeBron James forever. And I mean, anyone who's just crapping on LeBron tonight, what do you want from LeBron? Hey, go make a layup.

Be careful on that turnover. And I actually tweeted it as well. Does that make me a troll? I said, LeBron is doing so much, especially when he was trying to put some razzle-dazzle on that dunk and he missed it. I just said, okay, yeah, now LeBron James is going to try to light it up. And LeBron James, he went to the bench, kind of shook his head, like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I missed it.

That's a mistake, but I got this. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for LeBron. Like, as great as Anthony Davis can be, and that we've seen him in spurts, it's LeBron James who makes this entire engine run. He's the brains of the operation, and at times, he's still going to go out there and not just be the brains, he's going to be the worker for it too.

It's pretty sad. It's maddening with Anthony Davis. I guess on the bright side, and let me actually check myself here, Anthony Davis is healthy. Hey Shep, he's healthy, right?

He's considered, he hasn't exploded and combusted into a billion pieces yet, he's still here, right? I mean, given the fact that the guy looked like a man possessed after there was questions whether or not he'd be back with the head injury. I mean, this is the first time in two weeks Anthony Davis has been inconsistent.

I did not see this coming in game two. Well, forgetting consistency, it's nice to know that he's capable of playing basketball games. We have not talked about or discussed an Anthony Davis injury. I haven't talked about them putting a chalk outline of himself under the basket.

I haven't done that in maybe a week. And so we know if the Los Angeles Lakers are going to want to at least compete and stay alive, Anthony Davis is going to have to give us more than 18 and 4 of 15 from the field. I will imagine that by the time they get back to Los Angeles on Saturday night, Anthony Davis is actually going to show up. And I would venture to say Jamal Murray isn't going to go out there and drop 37 points. If Jamal Murray goes into Los Angeles and he says here's another 30 piece, here's a game winning shot, he goes on a heated stretch, he has to go on a heat check. Then go ahead and crown Jamal Murray.

He's just trying to take them to the finals. And one of our callers said, you know he's kind of in the cut and he doesn't get the attention. Well, I think Jamal Murray is finally on a large stage, the biggest of stages. We know that he blew out his ACL and so he wasn't at the forefront.

When Jokic was out there winning MVP 1 and MVP 2, Jamal Murray, he wasn't a part of the picture. And if he was, he was coming back. He wasn't at full strength. He was rehabbing. And so we got to give Jamal Murray some credit. It looks like he's finally maxing out on all of the talent that he has.

I remember him and Harris, Gary Harris playing in the backcourt. And now it's his show. 855-212-4CBS. Let's go to Texas and talk to Cesar. You're on the J.R. sport re-show. What's up Cesar?

What's going on J.R.? I'm good, go ahead. I just want to get your take on, I hear LeBron, LeBron, LeBron.

So, I've been trying to get through to you and talk with you about it. Your top three as far as they've ever played. My top three what?

My top three basketball players who ever played? Yeah, yes sir. Okay, well what I'll do Cesar is I'll save it for a top six one day. Is that a deal on Wednesday nights? Is that a deal? For sure. Okay, well thank you Cesar. I'll give you one right now.

Some guy named Michael Jordan. Yeah, put him at one. I'll give you another five on another Wednesday.

855-212-4CBS. Mac is here from Buffalo. Mac, you must go very quickly.

Oh Mac, I'll go quickly. I think it's going to be the Denver Nuggets to take it off. And the reason I say, I'm not going to explain anything and I wish that they would kind of lay off LeBron. I think he is a good captain for his team. And between now and Saturday, he's going to talk them up to win the game on Saturday because he's really an influencer in my opinion.

And I really want LeBron to have that opportunity to play with his son for that last year. Mac, you need some oxygen? You okay? No, I just got up to do this beeping thing with the alarm and I wanted to come back because Chuck said he was going to put me on.

And I do have pulmonary hypertension so sometimes it gets up a little bit. And I didn't mean to go so fast. You take it easy, alright? Go have a glass of water. I'm going to get something to eat.

I need some salt because my blood pressure is really low. But you take care. I will.

You do it healthy. I think Denver is going to take it all and I want to see them go to a game seven. I love game seven. Okay, thank you Mac for calling from Buffalo. Shep, is she going to be able to call back next week or something? Is she okay?

I have faith. Mac is young at heart. Yes, JR. Young at heart? What a, what an, what an insult. No. Yeah. What an insult.

Love Mac. That was an insult. It's the JR Sport Brief Show on CBS Sports Radio. We're going to be back on the other side. Hey, Jamal Murray is speaking. We'll hear from him soon and Austin Reeves and everybody.
