When this season is done, I'm done. I mean, he's pretty much been going year to year. For the past several seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
God bless them. The guy debuted in two thousand eight. This is his eighteenth season. He's won three Cy Young's. There's only been 11 guys to have done that in their careers.
doing an MVP in twenty fourteen. I'm so happy he finally won a World Series in twenty twenty. He got beat to shreds for years about his play off performance. And then he also obviously won the World Series with the Dodgers last year. This is what happens when you go year to year.
Why quit? He has an ERA of two Point five four lowest ERA of a starter. over the past like a hundred years. Yet, yeah, yet, Clayton Kershaw, all him He just got his 3,000th strikeout. Just a couple of months ago.
What else is there to play for? The only thing that could send him out is if the Dodgers end up winning yet another. World is series. I guess Clayton Kershaw fondly believes that it's time. to go home And hang out on his ranch in Texas.
We've heard this after every World Series. Is he coming back? Yeah, I'm going to come back on a one-year deal and beat her. Is he coming back? Y'all come back on a one-year deal and he'll be hurt.
And he's back.
Now we'll get to see him pitch in the postseason. He'll make his last start. Tomorrow In Los Angeles for the regular season. We'll see what he does in the postseason. Probably get some work.
out of the bull pen. Dave Roberts, the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's what he had to say about finding out that well, Clayton Kershaw. He's hanging him up. He he told me a couple weeks ago Um But, you know, obviously, that's kind of where his head was at.
And yesterday before the game, he said that. It's final, he's gonna hold a press conference today. And so he was emotional and understandably so. Wow. Yeah, I bet.
Clayton Kershaw, I'm pretty sure, yeah, they're going to have to have that press conference soon. They'll probably have it. in a matter of minutes, so we'll we'll we'll share that with you if we get any word from Clayton Kershaw before we're out of here. in uh in two hours. And look, This man, Dave Roberts, he has seen A lot of baseball.
And what we're damn wow. I can't believe this. Oh, wow. But oh, so Oh, so Dave Roberts is 53 years old. He fifty-three.
I can't believe this. I remember. Oh my God. He made his debut in 1999. I saw this guy's entire career.
He played from 99 to To 2008. I remember him on that Red Sox team, which was a I try not to remember that. And then he's he's been a manager. With the Dodgers since 2016, he had that one year with the Padres in 2015. He's seen a lot of baseball, he's seen a lot of great pitchers.
Dave Roberts has seen it all. But he says there's only been one Clayton Kershaw, listen to this.
Well, yeah, I mean we've spent 10 years together. How to describe his career. I think he's the greatest pitcher in this generation. Uh You know, there's obviously been a lot of great pitchers. I've just never been around a greater competitor.
very accountable. very consistent. And um You know, he's made me better and I think that we've Both grown together, so I feel. I feel fortunate to have been able to manage him and be around him for 10 years. And he's earned this right to walk away at his choosing.
As good. I would say I'd miss him, but I won't. No, I like Layton Kirk. I like him. He's...
There's no problems. There's no frills. He seems warm, He seems down to earth. He doesn't come across as a cold, you know what? Like he seems like a likable individual.
So I root for him, and I'm not going to miss him. The guy's been pitching since 2008, which I can't believe, but he has. And so I wish him nothing but the best. Major League Baseball, they also know how great he is. They already put up a montage of all of his successes.

Okay. Well, Justin Verlander doesn't want to go home to them. The guy is 42. He debuted in 2005. Kershaw's been here since 2008.
Vera Landa has his two World Series. Do I got to tell you about 2017 with the Astros? Do you want me to tell you what happened there? And then he also has one from three seasons ago with the Astros. He also has three Cy Young awards.
Between him and Kershaw, they are two of the 11 guys to have it. Three Cy Young's. He has three no-hitters. He has 3,500 strikeouts. And if Justin Veralanda decided to quit today, He'd be in Cooperstown another five to six years, okay?
Without a shadow of a doubt, that's when Kershaw is going in.
Now we know this is going to be his final year. But Justin Verlander, He started 27 games this year. He's actually been healthy.
Okay? He does have a record of three and ten, but you can throw the record out the window. His ERA is 375. Not bad for a guy with 27 stars who's 42 years old. And over his past several starts, Justin Verlander's been out there, he's like, He has six innings, one run.
He has seven innings, no runs. And Like, this is what I want out of a baseball play. Give me seven innings, and he's 42. The guy's been a power pitcher. The guy was mowing him down back when he was in Detroit.
And now you would think he'd be at home mowing the lawn. And Justin Verlander says I'm finishing the season hot. I'm trying to pitch next year. Listen to what he said.
Well, I mean, I do. What's this point of being a free agent? I would hope that somebody would offer me a contract now. Um Yeah, kind of. and showing that I can turn it around and and still pitch at a high level.
Oh my god. This is this this is his twentieth Major League Baseball season.
Okay. He's making $15 million this year. The New York Mets, and he could barely he could barely play for the Mets. He was hurt all the time. They gave him a two-year $86 million contract.
Both him and Max Scherzer, the New York Mets, are like, let's bring in the old guys. The old guys were hurt. What a shock. What a surprise. Does he need the money?
Bacha, how much money you think Justin Verland has made in his career? Um 450 million. That's an estimate, I'm guessing. Yeah, you're about $50 million to you're about $40 million off. He's made $410 million in his career.
Bacha, does this man hate his family? Honestly, when you think about it. I think Cam Hayward said it the best. You only have a certain amount of years. to earn Top of the top dollars.
And granted, his wife is a supermodel. And he has already made four hundred plus million, but You gotta squeeze out every little bit you can. You need more money? Economy is rough sometimes. Is it?
Yeah. What is he going hungry? His family's going hungry? Probably not, but I guess for the grandson or the grandson of the grandson, it's all good. You got to imagine.
Well, I mean, we're joking around. He's not doing this for the moment. He's doing it because he loves it. And good for him. He's also probably delusional about getting three hundred wins.
Oh. He needs like what twenty something? You think you think he wants to be the last guy to get there? Yeah, and I think it'll hold on to the last breath. What does he think?
He's uh He's like Nolan. He's not Nolan Ryan, but he thinks he's Nolan Ryan Jr. Like, what is he doing here? Yeah, he needs 35 wins. Yeah, there's no and that would be for him at least another three or four years.
So you think he's miserable this year that his record is 3 and 10 and he has a 370 RA? That's okay. He probably ticked off about that. Wow. Just go home, bra.
Come on, man. Go home. And you know what? Here's the thing. He's going to get a job next year.
Like based off of what he did this year There's no reason, unless he goes into spring training, and of course, somebody's going to give him $10 million. And he's going to show up. And unless he gets hurt. Justin Verlander is going to be on a Major League Baseball roster next year. I don't know where it's going to be.
I think at this point, when you're 42 years old, you just kind of flip a coin and just go wherever you can go. You can certainly hope that maybe he ends up on a contributor. Sign another one-year deal. Maybe he gets traded to a contender if he's healthy at that point in time. And you gots to be kidding me.

Yeah, the Kansas City Chiefs are probably going to walk into MetLife Stadium. That giant air conditioning unit They gonna light it up. I mean, look. The New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys just went blow for blow. This is going to be a positive thing for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Maybe, just maybe Xavier Worthy will be out there and be productive. Maybe, you know, Travis Kelsey will hold on to a football. Uh maybe they'll show some signs of life knowing that Rashi Rice has yet to be freed. Patrick Mahomes said, Yeah, we're owing to, but we'll be fine. It's just the people that we have in the locker room.
Even though we've never been 0-2, we've had stretches where we've lost big games kind of consecutively, and guys have responded. It's about the character of the guys in the locker room more than it is the play on the football field. And I think that we have the guys that are going to continue to work. They're not going to let this kind of push them down. And they're going to use it, if anything, as motivation to be even better.
And so I think that gives me the most faith. And then the coaches that we have, they'll continue to push to be even better. And so we'll have a great week of practice this week. And knowing we're going to play our best football to win a game against a good football team in the Giants. Hey.

Wasn't paying attention, couldn't hold on to it. Gathered it, picked it up, ran a couple yards, still not enough for first. Ollie Gordon running for the first touchdown on the Dolphins' opening drive. and the Buffalo Bills immediately answering back Josh Allen finding Dalton Kincaid. And so here you have it: it is seven points.
a piece. We'll keep you up to date on this game as it continues on. Before we went to break, We talked about the team that, well, the Buffalo Bills could really never beat in the postseason. Maybe it'll happen this year. That's the Kansas City Chiefs.
They're currently 0-2. getting ready to march into MetLife Stadium and beat up on the New York Giants. and probably pick up their first victory of The season. We got all these. These star quarterbacks, guys you never want to see down, guys you would anticipate, maybe, possibly.
Being in the MVP race, maybe getting to an AFC championship game. Mahomes is healthy. Josh Allen is healthy. Lamar Jackson is healthy. And well, we know this.
Joe Burrow. is not. scheduled to have that that toe surgery for that Hyperextension in his foot, that turf toe. And we know that for Browns fans everywhere not Browns fans, excuse me. That's an even worse Ohio team.
For Bengals fans. They gotta watch Jake Browning. And for NFL fans, What was I was hoping to be a good matchup, you know. This is gonna stink. I was looking forward.
to seeing Joe Burrow out there take on J.J. McCarthy. But because J.J. McCarthy is dealing with his own high ankle sprain and you got Joe Burrow who has turf toe. Jamar Chase versus Justin Jefferson is now going to be relegated to a battle.
of the backups. Carson Wentz is going to be starting for the Vikings. Vikings are now one and one after losing to the Falcons in an ugly game twenty two to six on Sunday night. And then we got the Bengals, who just beat the Jags this past Sunday with Jake Brown and throwing three interceptions.
So. This is going to be an ugly one. I don't know if I'm gonna want to go ahead and tune in. But I will because I like LSU. There's something about the LSU wide receivers.
And typically when you have these bad QBs, You get a good game. Like you get turnovers and sacks. It's nothing fun. There's a lot of excitement. And so, this will actually be an interesting watch.
It ain't gonna be no traditional. A fun one out here. and Carson Wentz now making another start. Six teams, six years, six starts. Carson Wentz, this is what he had to say about how ready he is to make the start in place of JJ.
I think he's a guy that plays with a lot of confidence. You feel that, and you see that even before he was starting. Just his confidence in individual, in routes on air, in scout team reps, just going and slinging the football around and having fun doing it. I think a lot of times, as you get to be an older player and a veteran player, you learn to just go and enjoy it. And not treat it so much like a job and a profession, but really just like taking advantage of the moments that you have.
And he's a guy that does that, which is great. Yeah, Adam Thielen knows about being an older player. He's a wide receiver at 35 years old. He's still out here playing. Carson Wentz is going to be thirty three.
On december thirteenth. thirtieth. That should be fun, right? And then, on the other hand, I told you about Jake Brown, and this will be a lot of fun. Can't wait to see him, not really.
He he actually understands. Like Jake Browning, somebody actually asked him a question. about them being bad. And somebody asked him a question about, hey, you ain't Joe Burrow. Y'all ain't going to the playoffs, and this is his response.
Or show business. It's like a Start listening to all that and ride a roller coaster, so I'm pretty focused on just Getting ready for Minnesota. you know, the scheme and and trying to focus on that more than however everybody feels about us at the moment. Jake Browning, I don't care what he does, what he's done. He threw three interceptions in a victory last week. Yeah. I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna hold my breath that they are.
They have a successful season.
Sorry about that. not not feel all that positive. Anyway. And we still got this game tied at seven apiece. Miami Buffalo got seven first quarters done.
And Buffalo Bills are on Miami's 27-yard line. Not good for the Miami Dolphins. It seems that Buffalo is poised. To put another score up on the board. You know, enough of these backup quarterbacks.
Let's talk about a starter, a mediocre starter. Shoutouts to Colin Murray. Makes a lot of money. Plays video games. Plays for the Cardinals.
I feel like they're the most mediocre team in the NFL. You don't expect them to be horrific. You don't expect them to be great. They're just somewhere in the middle. They are as average as average could be.
And God bless them so far this year, playing against two terrible teams in the NFC South. They got a record of 2-0. They beat New Orleans twenty to thirteen. They beat the Panthers 27-22. And on Sunday they take on the San Francisco 49ers, and good for them.
They're likely to see Mac Jones and maybe only Brock Purdy in an emergency basis. And so this bodes well for them. Maybe not. These are the Cardinals. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost.
But you got Colin Murray out here. He's the star of the team, right? He's too small, he can't win, and I just don't think you can have the level of consistency when you're his size. And it's not like, well, forget his size. It's not like he's a pocket passer.
It's impossible for him. He's running around, he's running to the left. He's like playing in the backyard, and it's difficult. To find consistency.
So I like Kyler Murray as a guy as much as I know. I'm not a fan of him being my starting. Quarterback.
Now, having said that, For whatever reason, Colin Murray is a little Bit of trouble this week. Kyler Murray decided to put a post up on social media. with his dog. Nothing wrong with that, right? Love animals.
I love dogs. He loves dogs. I ain't got no dog, but he has one. Bachelor, was it a pit bull he had a photo at? A pit, right?
It was some type of pit bull. Maybe it was like a crossbreed, but there was definitely a pit bull in there. It was a giant dog, looked like a pit bull. Nothing wrong with that, right? Except for the fact that Colin Murray had a Michael Vick jersey on.
A number seven vintage. Michael Vick Jersey. And everybody went, oh my God, what message is he sending? Oh my God, is he an advocate for dogfight? And oh my God, how tone deaf is he?
Oh my God, they're destroying the guy. And Kyler Murray had to come back and he had to apologize. And it's just, it's a bad pairing. And maybe he did it on purpose to be a jerk. I don't know.
Just listen to this. Yeah, um, you know. In no way, shape, or form do I condone animal cruelty or dog, you know, dog hunting, whatever it is. you know For me personally, y'all saw me wear the Michael Vick jersey, the player that I admire very much growing up. And then, you know, being home with my pup, who, you know, my dog, Trunks, and Swoosh, they both get treated like kings.
So it's not like, you know, I'm in no way, shape, or form am I condoning that? But yes, I saw how it affected people and decided to take it down. Oh, come on. Like, he didn't know. Like, the one plus one, he thought he could just be cool.
That's probably what he thought he was doing. He's like, Yeah, I'm just being cool. I'm wearing my Michael Vick jersey and poles with my dogs, and you know, I just. He just thought it maybe go over people's heads. Like, there's no way in L he put that jersey on.
and poles with a dog. And he's not that dumb. He can't be that stupid. Bocce, he can't be that dumb. I don't think he had any ill intent.
I just think he was goofing around being stupid. Yeah, there's no ill intent with these pictures. He actually. I'm going to say he does look cool. But to take the picture with the dog and you're looking at the dog in the picture.
It's not the brightest. Yeah. Not a good idea. I think he's just trying to be cool. I thought he he he thought he can get away with that on him.
Man, go win some football games, bruh. Come on Arizona Cardinals got the forty niners this Sunday and Kyler Murray is posing with Posting with a dog and a Mike Victor. Like, what are we doing here? The internet is a wild place. Take the internet away from all athletes.
