Yeah, I guess maybe it's not a good day for youth, but I'll tell you we got a good day for youth tomorrow. We got Bronnie James, Chet Holmgram.

JR Sport Brief. Yeah, it's fun, just fun, just fun. Things aren't that complicated, just about having fun. I don't care about being right or wrong. I don't give a damn about a hot take.
I'll take this, take that. Oh, don't say that. That's that's what Puff Daddy used to say. Take that, take that. That's a bad idea.
Bonsha, they didn't let Puff Daddy out of jail. They left him in there, huh? Nope. He's no bail. He was in there for at least a couple months.
October, huh? Mm-hmm. At least. At least, yeah, man. They may hit them.
They may be, hey, bro, you gotta stay in there for a couple more years. Ouch. Criminal justice system, I don't know.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Sometimes it's fair, sometimes it's not. I'd say most times it probably isn't. That's why I try to stay in my house and stay out of the way. Puff Daddy, he was more than outside.
Okay. Enough of Puff Daddy. Used to be a billionaire. Still might be a billionaire. Maybe not when he gets out of uh Prison.
Anyway. Before we went to break, we even talked some football. Zach Prescott said he's all ready to go for training camp. He ripped that thigh from the bone. last year with the Dallas Cowboys.
Okay, he said he's all ready to go. He's going to Build up a rapport with George Pickens. He's going to be fine with CeeDee Lamb. And then we talked about another guy who was in the news today. Uh Eli Manning.
Nothing crazy happened. He sure as hell didn't have any problems with the criminal justice system. Eli Manning said he is too poe. What a, what, what a. What a O, P O.
He couldn't afford the O R. He is so poor, he can't afford a 10% stake. And the New York Giants.
Well, we know that. Gotta find a billionaire to chip in a billion dollars, okay? Eli Manning is just like, listen, I can't afford this, even with another rich buddy. There's just too much going on. He's like, I can't do it.
New York Giants looking at a valuation of about ten billion dollars, good for them. New York oh, not the New York Los Angeles Lakers just sold for ten bill. The Lakers are selling for $10 bill. How much do you think the Cowboys are worth? Probably $15, $13 to $15.
Yeah, these valuations are going up, up and up and up and up. And so. If Eli can't afford a football team, I thought about a guy who might Be able to afford a team. And he has some rich buddies that could do it. And actually, his rich buddies are some of the reasons, one of the reasons the NFL and the NBA and a lot of these leagues in America.
have strict rules. As to who can purchase a team and why the other owners can vote on who can come in, okay? Cristiano Ronaldo, Yes, and one of the most famous and most accomplished soccer players ever. He's been playing with Al Nasser. That is a club, a soccer club in Saudi Arabia.
Yes, the same Saudi Arabia that basically put together live golf, the same Saudi Arabia that has stole some of our best boxing matches and fights. I don't know, and this is, I give these leagues here credit. Saudi Arabia has brought up a lot of soccer clubs. just all over the world, including Europe. Could you imagine oh, I don't know, would America tolerate?
We can tolerate live golf barely. People don't watch live golf. But could you imagine if a Saudi team, or not a Saudi team, could you imagine if a team in America was owned by guys in Saudi Arabia? I don't think we could deal with it. Imagine if the Boston Celtics were bought by the Saudis.
I don't know about that. But anyway. Thank God it's not. Cristiano Ronaldo. His new contract, botcher, you were asking, you said he was making more than one hundred a year?
Yeah, I assumed. He is making Two $108 million a year on his new contract. Mm-hmm. Yeah. That's that's isn't that the NBA salary cap basically?
Mm. Yeah. He's making more than whole teams, yeah, yeah. Yep. Yeah.
$208 million a year. He now has a fifteen percent ownership stake. In Al Nasser. Yeah. Yep.
Yep, they gave it to Ronaldo. His signing bonus. $31 million to sign.
Okay? It'll automatically jump.
So $48 million. If he signs and commits To the second year of his contract. Whooped he freaking do. Does he need the other uh seventeen million dollars? Eh, whatever.
A small change for Ronaldo. Listen to this, Botcher. For every goal he scores. He gets 100. Thousand dollars.
There's no way.
Okay? For every assist He gets fifty. $1,000. And if he plays in the second year, They boosted another twenty percent each way.
So now you can go ahead and say, Oh, yeah, now one twenty. One twenty, seventy, seventy five for each one. There's more, Botch. Are you ready? Um I don't know how worse it could get.
Could you imagine being an NBA player? Hey, we're going to pay you 50 mil a year. And now we're gonna pay you I don't know. I'll pay you another ten thousand for every bucket you score. But anyway.
Here's more. If Al Nasser wins the Saudi Pro League title, He gets another $10 million. Yeah. If he is the best player in the league, if he wins the golden boot, has the most goals. He gets another five million dollars.
Okay? If they qualify for the Asian Champions League and they win, He gets another eight.
Okay, you ready? There's more, Bacho. Are you ready? Oh, wow. You ready?
You ready for this? He also gets 16 full-time employees. He gets two chefs. Three gardeners? Three drivers, one for him, his wife, and I guess for the kids.
He has four housekeepers And four. Security guards. Only four? Only four security guards? Only four security guards.
That is Cristiano Ronaldo's. Contract, two-year contract. With Al-Nasser. There you go. You think he could afford uh a part of the New York Giants?
Uh he's all he's gotta do is score, I dunno. Thirty goals in one season? That's all he's got to do. Wow, man. You see, this is People look at the money that guys are making over here and they go, oh my God, oh my God.
Dude, I just told you what Ronaldo is getting. And okay, granted, he might be one guy on planet Earth. who's getting its type of cash, but these deals are just Professional athletes at the top of the the totem pole. They're like gods. On planet Earth to a lot of people.
And I mean, when you think about the world's most popular sport, And Ronaldo has basically hit the sweet spot for just social media and money and wealth and. And Saudi Arabia's thought process of investing into sports. Ronaldo has hit the jackpot. I don't know. Are we going to get another guy who gets a contract like this in another 15 or 20 years?
Maybe, possibly. You got to do what Ronaldo's done. You got to be one of the best goal scorers on planet Earth. People look at Ronaldo and go, Oh my god, he's finishing up in Europe. Is he gonna come to the MLS like Messi?
Uh No. Yeah. You're like, uh no, um go to America and play where? Where would Ronaldo play? You already got Messi in Miami.
You think Ronaldo's going to New York or is he going to LA? Probably. It's warmer. He's like, I like New York too dirty. And New York LA is polluted.
I don't know. Let's name hey, name a couple of cities. Go ahead, Bacha. Put yourself on the line so I don't have to do it.
Okay. Name some cities that Ronaldo would not play in. Uh there's there's a Portland team, right? Not there. The Timbers, yeah.
He would not play there. Uh Do I even know Columbus? Yeah, no way he's going to Ohio. He's not. What's wrong?
I love Columbus State. I love it. The Buckeyes. Yeah, that's about it. I don't think he'll survive there.
Ronaldo wouldn't like Ohio? I don't think so. He's like Joe Kim Noah. Not Columbus, okay?
Okay, not even Columbus. Uh I don't even know if we'll go to Texas.
Okay. Too far away from would he join the revolution? Probably not. No. I'm thinking it's it's probably LA or Boston.
If it's not LA, there's no reason for him to come to America. I think he got a lot of reasons to never come to America now, okay?
Well yeah. 300 million euros per year. When you think about all the money he's made, He's been playing for around the same amount of time as LeBron James. He made his professional debut in two thousand two. It's estimated.
between all his contracts, that he has made about one point eight billion dollars. Cheese. Yeah. Instead, 1.8, and I know people like to talk about folks' net worth. Yeah.
Does he have all that in the bank? Probably not. If he's paying his taxes, okay, Messi, even Messi had an issue. He's like, is Messi paying his taxes? People are like, oh, he's in trouble.
You better get it fixed down in Argentina. You better get it together. Cristiano Ronaldo. And I don't know. What does having a 15% stake in El Nasser mean?
What does that mean? That one day he has to sell it to, I don't know, he has to sell it back to them, another guy in Saudi Arabia. I don't know. Who's who's buying it? I don't I don't know.
And who's he going to sell it to is a better question. Whatever. That's one guy who doesn't have to worry about a A penny.
So, Bacher, if Eli Manning wants to change his mind, no, they're not going to happen. Not going to happen. I was going to say: if Eli Manning wants to change his mind, You might want to call up a Ronaldo, but Ronaldo would just be like, Here, talk to my buddy over here from Saudi Arabia Has Eli Manning ever had a controversy in his life? No, right? Not that I know of.
Besides, The only controversy he was part of, I think, was getting benched, and that was a Giants accident. The end? Yeah, it wasn't his fault. You never went 110 miles per hour. Not that I know of.
Okay. Never got arrested for it, right? Nah, I hope not. He's never been in handcuffs. What I got.
Hey, good for him. Yeah, he's too poor to buy a piece of the Giants. Call up a. Rinaldo, one point eight billion dollars. four security guards and chefs and three drivers and Yeah, that's some money.
That's some money. You know how many people I've seen an Al Nasser game? No, no. I have no idea. It doesn't matter.
He's still making that money either way. Hey, congratulations to Ronaldo, and congratulations as well. That's a Chet Holmgram. We'll we'll get into Chet Holmgram. Oklahoma City Thunder just keep on winning.
Shea Gilgas Alexander ends up on the cover of a video game after winning everything this past season. In chat, He got a five-year, $250 million rookie extension. It starts not this upcoming season, but the season after. And uh the hope is that maybe uh Chet Holmcrum can just Stay healthy. That would be nice.
of Chet Homegrown. Uh he wasn't healthy this past season. He missed his entire rookie season. I don't know how he ended up playing every game the season prior. I guess his real rookie season, because his real rookie season, he was hurt, I guess, his second year.
Either way, congratulations to Chet. We'll get into some more basketball in a bit. And speaking of big men in basketball, DeAndre Ayton, he spoke yesterday about Luka Doncic. He spoke more glowingly about Luca than he did Lebron. And apparently, the Lakers aren't interested in speaking glowingly about LeBron either.
We'll get into all that basketball stuff. At the top of the hour in about 40, 45 minutes, I am going to share with you a new top six list. We're going to take a look at some of the best rookies to ever play ball in professional sports. But on the other side of the break, we need to have a chat. with Brian Howell.
He's a beat writer, covers all things football. Regarding the Colorado Buffaloes, I'm going to talk to him about everything Dion said and what he did not say today as it relates to the Buffs. Brian Howell on the other side is the JR Sport Reeshow on the Infinity Sports Network. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the J.R.
Sport Breeze Show here with you coast to coast. on the infinity Sports. Network. Two days of Big 12 Media Day. We've heard about everything from the, well, the hopeful college football player from the Big 12's perspective to even Deion Sanders closing things out.
Not too much on his health, not too much on his players, but just a lot of winning that Deion wants to do. It's time to have a chat with someone who is in attendance, who covers all things. Colorado Buffaloes on the beat for the buff zone, as well as the Daily Camera in Boulder. Joining us right now. It's Brian.
How are Brian? Welcome back. How are you? I'm good. How are you?
Thanks for having me on.
Well, thank you for being back. Always a pleasure. Always a pleasure. When you think about everything that took place down in the Metroplex today surrounding Dion. What was the biggest story?
He talked about a lot. Yeah, I mean, honestly, the biggest story was that he was here, you know, because it's. There's been some speculation on his health, and he hasn't been in Boulder in several weeks because. He's been at his home in Canton, Texas, just kind of. Recovering from whatever health issue he has that nobody's really talked about.
This is really the first Public appearance he's made since Colorado Spring Game back in April.
So it was just kind of good to see him and see that he. Was his usual confident self on the stage today.
Well, he did put out a message a couple of weeks ago that eventually he would share when it's time. We know about his issues of clotting and his legs, his toes, his feet. We've heard. All of that. Is he eventually going to share?
And if he doesn't, God bless him. It's his business. Is he eventually going to share, or is he just not doing it now? I don't know. I've heard that he might once we get into like fall camp, but clearly he doesn't think this is the time to do it.
Yeah, you're right. When it comes to your own health, and I think it's a personal. Choice if you want to share that stuff. And maybe it's a little bit different because he is a public. figure and Things like that.
But I still think it's a it's a personal choice and um I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't address it, but I've heard he might when we get into fall camp. Yeah, he's been very, very public about every other health issue he's dealt with.
So. Let's see. Different things at different times.
Well, Brian, when it comes to the action that we will be seeing eventually on the football field, the biggest question is between. Who's going to start at quarterback? Is it going to be Lewis, who's young as heck? I don't even think he's 18 yet. And then you have Salter, who's transferring over.
From Liberty, I would assume that Salter will get first crack before they even hand Lewis the ball, no? Yeah, I would think so. I think that, you know, I mean, they're clearly much different stages of their career. You know, Salter is the senior. He's been a.
You know, two-year full-time starter at Liberty, like two and a half years basically. And you're right. I mean, Lewis does not turn 18 until the buffs are about three or four weeks into the season.
So he's supposed to be a senior in high school this next year. He's very young. Very talented, but very young.
So I would think it's going to be Salter. kind of that bridge quarterback between Shador Sanders and Julian Lewis of the future, but you know. Coach Prime brought them both down here to Texas because he said, I don't know which one's going to start. Wow, that's a bold statement to make. Brian Howell is here with us, covers the Colorado Buffaloes.
Well, under what circumstances, outside of here's a quick package three or four times a game just to maybe run the ball? Deception, deception, would we see Julian Lewis? Yeah, I don't know. I think Lewis actually has never been a running threat. As a high school quarterback, so I don't really know.
you know, what he would what he would bring in that regard. I think I think that if we see Lewis, it's because he's the guy. I think it's because he's won the job or Salter's hurt. I don't see them. A situation where Salter's healthy and playing well.
They would bring Lewis in for packages and burn a red shirt year. You know, I think you can obviously play up to four games, and maybe they would. Give them some spot experience here and there, but. I think if Salter's going well and healthy, I think that I could see a situation where Yeah. Salter Lewis just gets into a couple of games to get his feet wet, and then Redshirts.
Well, it's one thing to look at who's going to go out there and replace Shador, but the best player on the team last year. Was Travis Hunter. And so you're losing the star on offense. You're losing the star on defense. This is a team that really ran the ball last year.
It was just like Air Core Real every time they were out there. What do you expect from the offense in a whole and a defense, knowing that the two biggest stars and the best offensive player and defensive player are gone? Yeah, there's so many question marks there, and you know, there's so many people. From last year, that are gone. And people are going to focus on Shadur and Travis Hunter.
And they're obviously huge losses, but they lost a lot of guys on that defense. It was a pretty good defense. Shiloh Sanders and their linebackers are gone. And Cam Stillman Craig was the heart of that defense at safety.
So a lot of those guys are gone, but. The buffs are loaded at receiver. People don't know about them because. The top four guys from last year are all in the NFL right now. But they are loaded at receiver and they're better on the offensive line.
And then, you know, Salter, I think, is a pretty good quarterback if he's the guy.
So I think offensively, they're still going to be okay. Defensively, it's kind of How do they replace all those pieces from last year and they feel like they've got a really strong defensive line? And if they do have a strong defensive line, I think they'll be.
Okay, defensively. I'm not sure how good they're going to be. Brian Howell is here with us. Covers the Colorado Buffaloes for the Buff Zone and the Boulder Daily Camera. When you think about how the offense has run in the past, we've had guys like Zimmer, who Deion Sanders has brought in, you can think even putting Warren Sappers back there, and now we got Marshall as the running backs coach.
Do we have all these celebrity names out of who's in and who's out? Yeah, you got most of them. You know, there's obviously three Hall of Famers on this staff with Coach Prime and. Marshall Falk and Warren Sapp, and then Then there's all the guys that just kind of show up from time to time that Help out and mentor some of these guys, like Michael Irvin, who was here today. Or Terrell Owens and You know, Michael Vick, who's now coaching his own team, you know, has showed up at times.
And so you get all these Hall of Famers that show up from time to time.
So you never know who's going to be there. But he did hint at Iron Leftwich and Mike Zimmer joining the staff at some point. I don't know what roles they would have, but he wants to have them on the staff as well.
So there's a ton of NFL experience on this staff. Yeah, well, your name's Deion Sanders. I guess you can make a few phone calls. My buddy, Champ Belly, has swung out there. uh quite a few times.
Obviously very familiar with the Colorado In Denver Boulder area What are the expectations for this team in the Big 12? I mean, the first year they start off hot and then they falter. Last year, they kind of get close to a bowl game.
Well, they get to a bowl game, not the playoff. They're going to fall somewhere in the middle this year, right? I think so. You know, uh the expectations are are very Buried depending on who you talk to. I mean, I think if you talk to most people on the outside, they're going to.
you know, let's say Colorado is somewhere between twelfth and thirteenth in this conference. Deion Sanders keeps saying, I think we have a better team than last year. I think they're probably in the middle. I don't see how they're a better team when you don't have Shidor and Travis, but I think that they're a bowl team. I think they're.
Six and six, seven and five type of team. And I don't think people should. That's nothing to sneeze at. I mean, you got to think of the context of this program. The last time You know, Colorado went to back-to-back bowl games.
Gary Barnett was the head coach 20 years ago.
So, you know, if he can take them to back-to-back bowls, That's something to really hang his hat on. I mean, that'd be a huge accomplishment for Deion Sanders. It'll be a huge accomplishment for him.
Somebody who had to get knocked hard on his way into the NFL is Shadore. Are you surprised at that fall in the draft that he took? I am, yeah. I r I I was covering uh The draft from home, and I really expected to cover about the first half of the first round, and I'd take it easy for a while. And that certainly didn't happen.
So I was definitely surprised. I think he's a. a first round talent that uh I think is going to surprise a lot of people after that fall. Why do you think he fell? Is it his dad?
Did he really, from what you hear, were the interviews that bad? It seems like he was. kinda sorta being punished a little bit just for like being put in his place. Yeah, I think that's part of it. I think that I it it it's a mystery what happened, but I think that's probably part of it that You know, maybe his dad rubbed some people the wrong way.
Maybe he had some bad interviews. Maybe people just weren't sold on him. It's interesting because if you don't think he's your starting quarterback, I can see from there if he's not taking the first. 40-50 picks. I can see where he fell fur farther from there because You don't want to bring that in as your backup, that quote, distraction, you know, high-profile guy like that.
But I think the Browns are a good spot for him. I think that that's a job he can win, and I think he will win it at some point. Brian Howell here with us talking about the other. a young man. He didn't fall.
He was actually traded for, traded up to get, and that's Travis Hunter. How do you see him fitting in in Jacksonville? What do you think his best usage case would be there?
Okay. I think however they want to use him is what's best for Jacksonville. I remember their head coach, Liam Cohen. I saw him at one of the mini camps. He said, if it can look for us like it did at Colorado, that'd be great.
And I like that quote because I don't know if he can play like that and that much, but I think they'd be smart to use him like that because that's just who Travis Hunter is. He's a fantastic player. On both sides of the ball. The more you can use them on either side of the ball, the better your football team's going to be.
Well, you've been able to see them kind of grow as young men, but then as people, it seems that they both, and of course, this is social media era. They get a lot of negativity thrown their way. How have you seen them, even though they've now moved on? evolved from when they first arrived from Mississippi to when they left Boulder. Yeah, I think they've matured a lot.
I mean, and that happens a lot with these kids. at this time of life. I mean, I think Most people are different when they start college than from when they leave. And you know, I think you saw it in Shadur, you saw it in Travis a little bit, and they're just different people. Their bodies are more mature, but also their minds.
Go through more experiences and I think that that helps you grow up a little bit. You know, Shadur got more comfortable in his surroundings in Boulder, and I think Travis did too. And I think they're both going to experience the same thing in Cleveland and Jacksonville. Brian, to wrap things up, knowing that Dion has dealt with health issues, now an undisclosed health issue. There seemed to be a flirtation possibly with the Dallas Cowboys job.
Like wh what what would we safely Pencil him in as for being the coach in Boulder. Are we talking another year at minimum? Are we year to year? Could he still one day just up and leave? Is it up in the air?
I think so. Especially with this health issue coming up, which we don't know about. We don't know if it's serious, but I think. As you get up in age, and I think he's going to be 58 in August, you know, and then he's having some health issues. It's hard to really say he's going to move on to a different job and maybe at some point he looks at, you know what?
I'm going to take care of my health, take it easy a little bit, and go enjoy watching my sons play in the NFL. And I think it is year-to-year. He just signed a new five-year contract, but. We know how those work and it doesn't mean you're going to be there for five years.
So I still think it's going to be year to year and He's obviously here this year, but I think Once this season's over, I think some more speculation is going to happen of What's he going to do? I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last year in Boulder. I wouldn't be surprised if he's here for three, four more years. It's crazy, Brian. Life comes at you fast and it comes at you in phases.
And nobody would fall Dion if he said, you know what, I need to move on. To the next phase. That's just how it goes. Brian, thank you so much for the time. Please tell everybody how they can keep up with you and all your amazing work.
Yeah, I appreciate it. On Twitter or X, at Brian Howell33, and then also buffzone.com. Hey, Brian, thank you. Try to enjoy the summer a little bit. We'll catch you down the line, okay?
Sounds good. Thank you. No doubt about it that Brian Howell covers all things, Colorado Buffaloes. Yeah, you have to assume, given. Everything going on with Deion Sanders and his life.
You know, would he and that's why the rumors were out, and there wasn't a rumor, they pretty much confirmed it between both he and Jerry Jones. that there was in in a a conversation About him potentially being the coach. It's like, do you want that stress? And this is as far as I know. We don't know the timeline of his health issues.
We know he's had them for years now. Do you want that stress? Do you want to coach the Cowboys? Do you want to relax? Do you want to make your money?
Do you want to sit on your backside? Do you want to travel? Do you want to be back on TV? This Life comes in phases. Do what you have to do when you need to do it.
Don't stress yourself. Try not. Thank you again to Brian Howell for talking Buffaloes. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN is the number.
That's 888-710-4ISN. We come back on the other side of the break. We're going to talk about a couple of guys. They're going Nowhere.
Well, Chet Holmgrim is definitely going nowhere. He's staying in Oklahoma City. And I'm going to tell you about the guy who just joined the Lakers and who he's excited to play with. Talking about DeAndre Ayton. It's the JR Sport Reef Show.
You're listening to the Infinity Sports Network. And right now, it's time for a news flash with Rich Ackerman. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you, coast to coast on the Infinity. Sports.
Network. Hey, thank you so much. Always a great chat. with Brian Howe. covers all things Colorado, buffaloes.
He was there at Big Twelve Media Day. Listening to Deion Sanders pretty much detail what is the great unknown. I think most of us know it's not going to be as good a season for the Colorado Buffaloes. Deion just so happens to be one of the most polarizing individuals and athletes. Um That we have in the United States of America where individuals, former athletes, coaches, guys in the sports space.
Dion is is right up there. with everybody.
So we'll see what happens, especially as it relates to what goes on on the football field for Colorado. But also his health. Because it has always seemed from the minute that he arrived in Colorado, even with the massive success, and it has been a success. They haven't made the playoff yet. Haven't made it to one of these, you know, Super Bowl games.
He went to the Alamo Bowl last year. But this has been a success for him, the university, his players, his sons, and Travis Hunter. It's been a great thing, so let's just see how much longer. That he's going to keep it rolling. We do know Shador and then also Travis Hunter, they enter into the NFL as rookies.
I told you this at the top of the hour. I'm going to share with you a new top six list. We're going to take a look. At the top six rookies ever. Not in the NFL, not in the NBA.
All of them, period. Pick a league. Pick a league. We're going to look at some of the best rookie seasons. Ever By Athletes.
Top six list coming your way. in about 15 minutes. Before we do that, have to talk to you about a guy, well, He's not too far removed from being a rookie. And he just got himself a brand new contract. I'm talking about twenty two year old Chet Homegrum.
Chet Holmgram just got a five year. two hundred and fifty million dollar contract. And my bad, he just turned 23 about a month and a half ago. Good for him. He's 23 years old.
His contract extension of his rookie deal doesn't even start until after. this upcoming season.
So he gets a new contract, he gets a new deal. And now he gets paid. He just won a championship. He just everybody with the Oklahoma City Thunder, all they do. Is when?
Hopefully Chet Holmgram is uh Well Not drinking, okay. The last time this guy had something to celebrate. He was on the stage For the Thunders parade. They almost had to take the well, yeah, they threatened to take the microphone away from this guy. Listen.
It started with Clay, Sam, and Mark for believing in me enough to bring me here. In the first place. 'Cause without them, I'm never even here.
Alright, let me lock in. Do you want? Should we put you on the mic right now? But yeah, I just gotta say thank you to those three first. And then after that, it's all my teammates without them.
None of this is possible. It's really a full team effort. Uh and then from there it takes the fans in the city. They bring it every single night Oh yeah.
Okay. Well, he he got through it. He didn't say anything crazy. He didn't. He didn't sound like a sailor.
He didn't curse like a sailor, like the Eagles did at their event. I still can't believe that. Bacha, have you seen that the city of Philadelphia, uh, the the trash collectors on strike? Have you seen that? No, I didn't.
So they're the com the city's getting dirtier? Bruh. I think they're on like day number eight or nine. If Philadelphia is a mess right now, yes.
Okay. Oh my. Anything over five days is bad. They are not picking up the trash. They're asking re I don't know if they've hired uh private companies to do it.
I think that's the case, but... In most cases, people are being asked to deliver or they've set up locations for people to dump their trash. And let's just say none of this is going uh in a positive direction, okay? But I'm not surprised. It's really weren't the temperatures like a hundred degrees the past couple of days?
Yeah, it's been middle 90s. Yeah. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
Well, then they have that movie in Philly A field goal kicking garbage picker or something like that. What? Like Kinda like a Disney movie around that, but with the garbage men. Yeah, you don't know what I'm talking about? No idea.
You nailed it, though. It was, I believe, field, let's use the Google, field goal kicking. Yeah, the g yeah we go here, yeah, yep, yep. Oh, it was my guy. This is not Tony Danzer.
Oh, it's my guy. I know Tony Danza. That's okay. I should know better than this. The garbage picking.
Field goal kicking. Philadelphia phenomenon. 1998 movie with my guy Tony Danzer. Yeah. Never heard of it.
Were you born? No, I wasn't born one, but two. Is this like a. How real is this? Because I just clicked on Rotten Tomatoes.
There's no like critic reviews. Bruh, it's a real movie. I remember. I didn't see it, but I remember this movie. It was a Walt Disney movie.
Yeah. Oh, so it's a Disney movie. Yes.
Okay, uh You want me to say it again? The garbage-picking, field-goal-kicking Philadelphia phenomenon. Yeah. Maybe maybe it's yeah, now I see it. It's you know it's bad when the title is cut off on Google.
Well, that that was the point of the the title being Interesting, okay. Tony Danzel was a garbage man who became a player for the Philadelphia Eagles as part of a publicity stunt. There you have it. Yeah, maybe I'll watch that one tonight. It was filmed.
in Canada. The CFO. Oh, not necessarily. Save money. They went to Canada and save money.
They made Canada look like Philly. You can make Atlanta look like New York, so I mean, it it happens all the time. Anyway, the Philadelphia Eagles coach offered him a job as the team's new kicker. which the owner feels is an excellent publicity stunt in giving an average Joe a shot at the NFL. And so, this would be an opportune time to give a garbage guy.
Why don't the Eagles do that? They should hire a garbage man to be.
Well, that team is stacked. What do they need? Nothing? You got to flip it. That the garbage men of Philly need to hire a football player to pick up the trash.
Imagine Maielata. Picking up trash. That guy could probably pick up ton of bags. You want the city of Philadelphia.
So you want him to basically be a scab. No, no. I'm just saying, flip the rolls here. You have another sequel to this movie.
Okay. Or you want to make a movie out of it. Oh, 100%. Sell the rest.
So, in the movie, you want a Philadelphia Eagles player to short the working man and be a scab? It's not shorting. It's just. Let's say. Being a scab.
No, no, no. You know how they did, like.
Okay, it doesn't have to be with the protesting and boycotting. It's, I'd say. Make the movie About, you know, like Sean Payton was suspended for a year, so he coached a high school that movie with Kevin James. It's not the same. It's not the same, but bring a lineman into a regular job because of a lockout or something.
I'm a part. I'm a part of the union, right? If they said we all gone because we want to get a better contract. And then somebody came on and just said, I'm just going to take JR's job and hope he never comes back. Look I don't it could be, I don't know.
It could be Trey Young. He's right down the block. Trey Young could say, you know what? I ain't got nothing better to do. I'm going to take J.R.
Trey Young would be a scab, okay? That is true. Yeah. So if if they if if the city of Philadelphia called up Milado, whoever the hell they called up. You a big ass guy.
We need you to move trash. You don't the garbage man would be looking at him like How dare you? Like, y how dare you? Like we're over here trying we're we the working man. Trying to make money, trying to make ends meet.
The city doesn't respect us. I know in New York City they they call the the the guys who get the trash They call them New York's bravest. I got a a buddy of mine. Is his body all broken down and in pain from all the years that he's been bending over and tossing trash over? And are you just going to get an NFL player to take my job temporarily as a publicity stock?
That'd be some movie PR. That'd be some bad PR. Here we go. Any PR is good, PR? Oh, not really.
A trash overflows in Philadelphia as city workers' strike enters its second week. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, here we go. Oh. Philly strike ends earlier today. Trash collection to resume.
Workers' Union reaches a tentative deal with the city of Philadelphia. We're going to find out how tentative the deal is. Wow. Yeah, the city of Philadelphia and its blue collar workers Tuesday resulted in a tentative contract agreement. Happy ending.
The Disney movie. Yeah, after the trash. How long is this? Yeah, they got a 3% raise. Good for them.
They get more money. Hopefully they don't take the money away from something else. That's how typically how things happen. Na'am. And shout outs to everybody in Philadelphia, place of my birth.
I love y'all. Not going back.
