Eastern, Three Pacific. I am going to be here with you for one more hour.
So if you've missed the first three hours, Where yuh been? At work, at home, minding your business, at dinner, doing something you had no business doing?
Well, welcome here. We got a lot to get into over the the final hour of the show. Of course, at the end, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. We got the NBA Finals Game Six going on right now between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers. And we talked about everything from Ace Bailey Yeah, he's an NBA prospect not named Cooper Flagg.
We talked about these athletes out here driving around crazy. No, none of them went to the University of Georgia. I'm talking about guys like Shador Sanders driving like a nut. Zach Eady driving like a nut. Hey, CJ Mosley.
The famous linebacker coming out of Alabama, he's retiring, he's done. Andy Reed talked about his wide receiver, Rashee Rice, expects him to play a full NBA season, NFL season. NBA popped up on the screen here in the studio. There's just a lot going on, as you can tell. And thank you so much to our guests, James Herbert.
from CBS Sports covers all things NBA. Hey, thank you so much to our guests from the Mamalodi Showdowns. Oh. You don't know who that is? It's a big, big Great South African.
Football clock. Yeah, they're here in America participating in the FIFA Club World Cup. Thank you to Lumfo, Kekana. Thank you to Marcelo for coming through and having a great chat with us as they are here in the United States of America. representing their club.
As they try to win the FIFA, Club World. Cop.
So, a busy day. Lots of championships all over the place.
Okay. Panthers win the Stanley Cup. Tonight, we might have somebody who ends up with the Larry O'Brien trophy. And then, in about a month or so, we're going to find out who's going to win the FIFA Club World Cup. And let me tell you about this matchup going on right now, this minute, this second.
in Indiana. The Pacers are not quitting. I get it. It's still early in the game. Is a little less than four minutes to go in the first cross.
Yeah. and Indiana leads OKC. twenty four. to seventeen. This is the elimination game.
for OKC, or at least for Indiana. If Indiana loses, they go home. And it was so much about whether or not we were going to see Tyrese Halliburton playing. Tyrese Halliburton has played. He's been out on the court for eight minutes.
He is one of five from the field and He has four points. And so here in the first quarter, he has already equaled his total from the first game. Tyrese Halliburton in action before we even got the game. I want you to listen. to Pascal Siacom, Because he talked about how How the pacers were going to get ready.
if Halliburton was in or whether he was out. It's never been about one person, so I don't really look at it that way. I think. Obviously, like Tyree's is a big part of what we do, like, and you know, whether he plays or not, like, I think it's gonna be a team thing, you know, like we have to together all step up. Damn it.
Pascal Siakim, he has five points right now. Andrew Nemhard has eight points. And Halliburton, as I mentioned, he has four. Obi topping, okay. Obi Toppin likes that home cooking.
He likes playing at home. Obi Toppin with seven points off the bench already. We'll keep you up to date on this one as it continues on. If you had Shea Gilgas Alexander somewhere, you have money on him. At this point in time, Shea Gilgas Alexander has two points.
Jalen Williams continues his hot streak from last game. He has seven.
So there's a lot to do. You can call me up 888-710-4ISN. Of course, at the end of the show, we'll talk about a bunch of things that took place this day in sports history. I do want to talk to you about something that took place recently with Adrian Peterson. I can't believe this guy is in a fight.
Yeah, running back, Adrian Peterson. But right now, let's get to the phones. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. Jared.
Is here from Maryland. You on the JR sport reef, show us up, Jerry. Hey, Jerry, you're live on the radio. Yes, I'm here. My bad.
My apologies. First off, thanks for taking my taking my call. Your music coming out of breaks is is always The best. My call was about Portly players. I'll give a little assist to ChatGPT, but I got Prince Fielder, Pablo Sandoval, and then from my own brain.
uh throwback Orioles player here, Booz Pal. Oh boy. We'll check all the generations, go, Ravens, and you know what I think about the bills. Bye-bye. Oh, well, damn it.
Here we go. Here we go. Yeah. Botcher I talk there's a whole beef, and it it just exists. between Ravens and Bills fans.
and they in the same damn boat. Neither one of them have beaten the Chiefs and they just It's like, hey, we're not number one. We're both, you know, one B and one C.
So instead of hating on one A, why don't we just hate on each other? They're hitting on each other to see who gets MVP of the regular season and never Super Bowl MVP. And it's a little bit. Oh my god, ouch. Ouch.
Damn botch you trying to have beef with both cities? No, I I'm just Keeping it 100. That's what's happening. They know they're not close to the Super Bowl. They haven't made it to a Super Bowl.
So they go after regular season MVPs to boost their quarterback status, knowing that they're not going to be better than Patrick Mahomes. Oh. Well, eventually, the law of averages says eventually. Either Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes, one of these guys got to, well, not Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, one of them got to come out on top eventually, right? And then you throw in Joe Burrow and he might put something into that.
Oh, well damn. You know what other you know another crazy story? I love telling uh b Bengals cheapskate score stories. They're so cheap. that they didn't let their they didn't put their players in a hotel when they stayed at home because they wanted to save money.
And so as a result, the Bengals would have players who would show up the next day drunk. Yeah, I'm not surprised. Too much freedom on their hands. But that that's just another. I told you, first of all, they charge for water.
They charge her for jock straps. They make the players' family stand outside so they could freeze in the cold. And now all of a sudden, you know, we we're hearing the stories about how they didn't want to spend money by putting their players in the team hotel the night before the game. You can't make some of this stuff up. Cheap.
Sheep, sheep, sheep. 888-710-4ISN That's 888-710-45. Hey, if you're listening to me right now, you be cheap, okay? Do you own the Cincinnati Bengals? No, you don't.
So you be cheap. If you own the Bengals, don't be cheap. Uh Paul is calling from San Diego. You on the Ch R Sport Brief Show. What's up, Paul?
Yeah, JR. Hey, Paul, San Diego. Long time listener, first time caller, man. How you doing? I am amazing.
How are you feeling? You good? I'm good, man. I'm good. I'm a big Clemson Tigers fan.
And I just had a few questions, man, about the NIL. Uh Been what players get paid usually? Is it all strings or is it just the first, second string? And which sports get paid usually? Oh my God.
Well, I uh right out the gate, I mean we know the the m the money makers are the ones that get paid. That's that's basketball. And on a bigger scale, a larger scale for most schools, that's that's going to be football. And then I mean, I don't want to say we're nickel and diamond here. If you're playing there's so many levels to this.
If if you are Carson Back, And I I know you're you're a Clemson Tiger fan, but if you're a Carson back and and you're going from UGA and you're going um down to Miami because you can make a few extra dollars, he's he's going from, Oh my God, they're gonna pay me two mil and I'm gonna get four million dollars in Miami. The last guy at the end of the bench, he may not get any money. That's just the reality of it. I mean, we still operate in a world where you can still go to school and be out there on scholarship.
Now, where things are changing and where things might change rapidly is one of the court rulings that we recently had that says that schools will be able to play These payers directly, and so sooner than later, we're going to have these athletes on the teams who are going to have their share of the pie.
Now, how they go about splitting that. I have no idea. Which is why a lot of this is Is really in the wild, wild west right now. Gotcha.
Okay. You sound disappointed, Paul. Did you want some money from one of the schools? I know a couple of people that are on the kind of low on that totem poll thinking they might might make some money 'cause obviously they're not gonna be pros one day. They're gonna they're low they're way down there, man.
They're they're walk-ons or Okay. Yeah. Well, damn, I I I don't want to burst anybody's bubble.
Well, I put it to you this way. Every player in college football I know for the past season or two that has been eligible to be in the the uh the college football uh video game. EA Sports has paid them. I mean, it's a couple hundred dollars. Unless your name ends in Manning, maybe you could demand a whole hell of a lot more because you're getting a marketing deal out of it.
I mean, you really might be nickeling diamond. I'm sure the last guy at the end of the bench he might make a couple of hundred.
Some guy might make a couple thousand just to put up a social media post if he's worth a damn. But unless you're at the top of the totem pole, man, we're we're really talking millions at the top and maybe a couple hundred, couple thou for anybody towards the back end, and I don't even think that's guaranteed. All right, so yeah, if some of those guys just To get that degree and plan for another job outside of college, you know? Yeah, yeah. Welcome to the workforce like the rest of us.
Absolutely.
Sorry, Peggy.
Well thank you. All right, thanks for you. Thanks for taking my call, man. I appreciate you. Thank you.
Shout outs to Paul for calling from San Diego. And man, that was uh Not gonna say that was pretty depressing, but Bacha, that's the reality. Like, we could stand around and talk about the Carson Becks of the world and the Arch Mannings and. Think about what guys at the top are making. still to I mean, the reality is th the majority of of college athletes are still really not making money, the vast majority.
There's some college football D1 players that just don't even have scholarships either. They just play for the for the love of it.
So. I think w when we talk about NIL, we talk more about the uh Top 1%. The stars. Yeah. But You know, there there's some some money being given to the lower tier colleges and players.
But it's just, it's nothing comparable to like SEC and Big Ten schools. Right. Here's. Here's fifty dollars a month from the local Jimmie Johns. It's better than nothing.
It is. I I mean, how much Jimmy John no disrespect to Jimmy Johns. How much Jimmie John's can you eat for a month? Fifty dollars worth, 'cause that's what they're giving me.
Well, how how much is a sandwich of Jimmy John's? What, fifteen dollars a sandwich? Probably ten and eleven dollars. Yeah. I don't that doesn't even last me a week.
I'm done. That's what I get two different stores. Yeah, Jimmy John's and Mike's. Mics? What the heck is it?
What the heck? Mike subscribes. Mike subs? Isn't that a thing? Mike subs?
I don't know, bruh. The subway's not good anymore. They shut them down, don't you? No, the subway's still there. There's just there's a whole lot of competition in the the sandwich game.
To make sandwiches. Oh, my God. Mike's Jersey subs, that's what it is, right? Yeah. You got subway You got Mike's Jersey subs.
Ah. What's the other one I just said? With the meats Jimmy Johns. Jimmy Johns. Is that it?
There's a fourth place selling meat. Arby's, does that count? Arby's meat is like. It's more. I don't know.
That's heavier. I can't listen for the life of me, I can't believe there's a fast food place that sells roast beef.
Okay. Like, okay, I get it. It's one thing to sell hamburgers. People have been selling hamburgers in America for a long time. Who had the idea?
I guess it's successful. Who said I'm going to sell roast beef? Army I don't know, I'm assuming RVs. They've been around for a while. They got the meats.
Is that somebody's la yeah, of course, Arby's. Is that their last name, Arby? I'd hope so. Just calling it Arby's out of out of the blue would be embarrassing. Watcha, let me tell you something.
The first time I drove up to an Arby's was in Virginia somewhere, okay, and I said, you know what? It looked like they sell hamburgers. There, let me let me just try Arby's. I had no idea that they were selling beef, okay? And so I'm looking at the menu and I'm like, okay, this is roast beef.
All right, fine. I'm going to get something good out of here. and I order off the menu and I literally ate it and I said, This is This is buttered bread. from Wendy's, with roast beef on it, And that's it. And I'm like, what the hell did I just pay for?
I was disappointed. I said, never again. No Arby's for me. Hey, Arby's now, I think they have hamburgers and their mozzarella sticks. are insanely good.
Oh, so you've been to Arby's recently? I've been I'd say like twice in the past two years. Oh no thanks. Decline. It's one of them places where I went once and I said, you know what?
I'm never coming back here. Yeah, I don't I don't need this uh I need this roast beef in my life. Decline. No thanks. Shout outs to everybody making that money in restaurants all over North America tuned in right now.
888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. Listen, if you work at Arby's, Uh call me up. Do me a favor. Hit me up too.
Give me a Gimme one of them codes. For some food, if it exists. Right now. There is about a minute to go here. Or a minute has passed here.
in the second quarter, The Indiana Pacers lead OKC. 32 to 27. We are rocking and rolling. We'll keep you up to date as this game goes on. We are going to take a break when we come back.
And speaking of rocking and rolling. we got Adrian Peterson. He has been rolling for all of the wrong reasons. This man has had legal issue after legal issue after legal issue. And now Adrian Peterson, he looks like he has rolled himself into a fight.
Over poker. I'm going to fill you in on the other side. You can't make this stuff up. It's the JR Sport Reef Show, coast to coast, on the Infiniti Sports Network. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief.
It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity. Sports. Network. NBA finals going on right now in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Pacers are not going down without a fight.
I think this is going to be a close one. We've seen what they have in 'em. I mean, as it stands right now, they're in the second quarter. They are close, okay. About uh three minutes have gone by, two and a half minutes.
Uh Indiana leads thirty two to thirty one. Tyrese Halliburton in action has played eight minutes, has four points. And one assist. Pascal Siakam leading the way with seven points here for the Indiana Pacers. Obi Toppin with eight points off the bench.
The reigning NBA MVP, Shea Gilgas Alexander, ain't slowing that man down. He has 11 points. Jalen Williams has nine, 34 to 31. the Pacers lead the Oklahoma City thunder. You know, earlier in the show We talked about the Los Angeles Lakers and what that sale means ultimately for the NBA, a potential expansion.
We talked about the Dodgers with Shohei Otani. We got it to a lot. Le legendary players in big names. It's real sad. It's real bad.
When you have a legendary player who just hits hard times, And in the NFL, one of my favorite players to watch, because we don't have too many Bruising running backs in the league anymore. We don't have too many. Yeah, we got Derrick Henry, but I'm saying it's kind of started to slow down. We don't have the Jerome Bettises. We don't have the Adrian Petersons.
who seem to mix the power and the speed and the athleticism. and I just feel so bad. Because every year it feels like there's a new story, About Adrian Peterson, and the latest story that we have about Adrian Peterson also is not a good one. Because alle it's not even allegedly. It appears that this man was at a pogo fight.
And he was mad at at somebody and what they were doing at the table in regards to showing their hand. And he thought that they were cheating, and they started throwing hands. They got into fisticuffs. Listen to this report from Research Sports. TMZ, of course, has the footage.
It's just bad. Listen to this. After a recent altercation, Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson may run into problems once more. Video of a fist fight between Peterson and a card player following a disagreement over a hand at a recent poker game was made public by TMZ Sports this morning. The two men leap out of their seats and square up at the beginning of the video, but but there is no lead-up to the fight.
In an attempt to break up the fight, someone intervenes, but Peterson continues until he is finally able to get a swing in. The other customers can't see every detail because the person with the camera is behind them. but in the last few seconds of the video, it's obvious that the two are complaining to one another. The fight's resolution is not shown in the footage. The fight happened at the Joker Stars Club in Houston, Texas back on May 27th.
According to Peterson's statement to TMZ, there was a dispute at a table. According to Peterson, one thing led to another, and the two began arguing. Oh my goodness. This was recently I mean, it was just only back in April. That Adrian Peterson, who in twenty fourteen was uh suspended, Because he was a little too physical with his own kids when it comes down to discipline.
In 2022, he was arrested because of an incident with his wife on a plane. It's rough. Adrian Peterson apparently has issues when it comes to uh Expressing himself, or at least trying to bring things down. He seems to turn things up. This is just a couple months ago.
He was at the NFL draft, and he was a little too, I guess, tipsy after the fact. Listen to this. Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested early this morning after allegedly driving drunk. The State Patrol arrested Peterson in Richfield around 3.20 this morning. They say he was driving nearly 30 miles over the speed limit.
John Lawtson explains what's next. A state trooper stopped Adrian Peterson's Audi Q5 for speeding near southbound Highway 77 and 66th Street in Richfield. Prior to being pulled over, the trooper reported that Peterson was driving 83 miles an hour in a 55 mile an hour zone. He was then arrested for suspicion of DWI after he allegedly blew up.14 during a roadside breathalyzer test. The arrest came just hours after Peterson was cheered on by Vikings fans at Thursday night's draft party at U.S.
Bank Stadium. Yeah, he was he was at the draft party. He had too much to drink because he's Adrian Peterson, a legend, and yeah, they he got in his own car and he was drunk. Yeah, drive safe, people, please. Uh drive safe.
We talked about Zack Eady, a hundred and one miles per hour. Talked about Shador Sanders one hundred and one miles per hour. Just just be safe out on the roads, folks. Just just do that. Good luck to Adrian Peterson.
We've heard about him having to sell some of his memorabilia over the years. This guy is. Hall of Fame caliber player and uh He's just on hard times. I wish him nothing but the best. Any time I've spoken to this man, which has been multiple times over the years, he's been great to deal with.
But Who people are publicly can be very different who they are. privately. It's a shame. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.
We got Mike calling from Nevada. You on the JR Sport Reef Show? What's up, Mike? Hey, Jare. I last spoke to you like five years ago during COVID.
I don't know if you remember me, but. What? You kind of your whole company kind of say this. We loved you guys. I was the one who said, We love you, J.R.
Do you remember that call five years ago? I said, We love you, J.R. You told me.
Well, I don't know if this is good or bad. I've had a lot of people tell me they love me. Throughout the course of my life, I don't know if everybody means it, but uh yeah, I remember you, I do, I do. And you said, I love you too. I'll never forget that.
Anyways, Yeah, you did I just want to like say again during COVID how great you were. Um Okay, my take on the NBA is Mc McConnell is just going nuts. And remember, he came in. last game on Monday, he he scored like fifteen points in the third quarter. I see The code for OKC is is screwing up.
He should have Isaiah Joe on him. because they're both smaller and quicker. I think Isaiah Joe should be guarding McConnell. I know it's a weird take, to my point, but they cannot stop OKC is like Tall and long, right? And they're big.
And I I see Osea Joe Plus is a great I looked at his three point. He's 42%. from three points this year. Like, the coach is being hard-headed, like, I ain't gonna play you. I think it's a bad call.
I don't think so. I mean, he started off with Kaysen Wallace out there. I thought he should take it. Mark, the head coach of Oklahoma City is Mark Degnault. I thought that he should take advantage of their size and their length by putting out Isaiah Hartenstein.
And for the first couple of games of this series, he didn't have him starting out there, he was pulling him off the bench. And the Pacers were pretty much kind of running them into the game that they wanted to. And I understand, yeah, it took a Tyreese Halliburton shot at the end of the game to don't cut me off. Before he cut me off, you're making my point. Like.
The Knicks got rid of Hardenstein. And top and it's just And then I thought that was just Those two players have been a final player. Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with you. Yeah. They should have Isaiah Joe on McConnell.
That's my take. All right.
Well, TJ McConnell is a dude off the. Thank you, Mike, for calling from India. Nevada. I hope since you're from Indiana. Take it easy.
Talk to you in another five years. Botcher, I won't. I can't Bosh, I can't remember everybody says they love me. I can't remember that. COVID was a tough time, you know.
I'm supposed to remember everybody? No. Not at all. That says, hey, I love you, Jay. I'm supposed to love everybody.
For Mike from Nevada, you know, he's got that distinguishable voice. Do you remember that? How many people do you think I've spoken to over the course of my lifetime that are just I don't know them personally to talk about sports. Got to be thousands by now, more than that.
Something about that mic, man. Yeah, okay. Mike from Nevada. 888-710-4ISN is the number. That's eight eight eight seven ten.
four I S N. And sh shoutouts to Mike from Nevada. Wow. Anyway, hey, right now, Indiana leads 41 to 33. And this guy from Mike from Nevada, he loves TJ McConnell.
He has eight points in the game so far. And the last gang Yeah, with uh hot Tyrese Halliburton is running around on one leg. Uh he also went out there and had 18 points. But let me tell you something. I'm not thinking about pulling one guy off the bench to stop TJ McConnell.
I'm looking at my team and I'm going, Man, we're bigger and we're faster and we're stronger than everybody here.
So let's use that to our advantage. Let's just be bigger and faster and stronger and not just out TJ McConnell. Like everybody, for the most part, is bigger and faster than T.J. McConnell. He's just absolutely.
Fearless. He's also a great shooter. And that guy is out there bawling out. But I'm not going to pick one guy to stop him. Come on, I'm going to stick with my game plan.
I'm going to use my giants out here on the field. Eight eight eight or the f the court. Between Adrian Peterson and the Pacers. There's too much basketball and and and NBA going on, okay? 888-710-4ISN.
Let's talk to Greg. Greg is calling from Baltimore. You're on the JR Sport Re Show. What's up, Greg? Hey, how you doing today, man?
I am absolutely amazing. How are you? Wow, Good man. Couldn't be better. Hoping that.
OKC takes the championship, but we'll see. It may be. There's a lot of game left tonight, and of course, there could be a game seven on Sunday if the Pacers won. What's on your mind? Absolutely.
Um, yeah, I just wanted to uh reach out real quick and uh going to spend a lot of time, but the whole Adrian Peterson incident. I think and this is real cliches, but we have to stop putting these athletes and celebrities on pedestals Yeah. And really understand that they're just regular people like you and I. I think because. You know, we see them on television, and you know, they had a bright lights and the makeup and all of that on their face like we We gotta stop looking at them as being superhuman.
and understand that they come with their faults just like anybody else that you will walk up on on the street.
So I I don't see anything surprising. like with Ad with Adrian Peterson or even taking it back to say like a R. Kelly, or whoever you see in the limelight. I see nothing out of the ordinary with this. They're regular individuals.
Well, Greg, you you uh I agree with you wholeheartedly. This is something and I'm sure I don't know how often you listen. It's impossible to listen every day all the time. You know, I've been here for years and I have said that many a times in defense of athletes, but also in reality. You know, we can say that they're just like us and they have issues and they have problems.
And sometimes athletes are judged unfairly or, you know, but because of who or what they are. Everybody's a human being.
So I agree with you on that 1 million percent. But it's my job and my position to talk about what's going on in the space. And so what I can't say and what I cannot repeat, you know, five times a week, you know, every single day is that point.
Sometimes it's just a matter of delivering the facts. You know, Shadora Sanders going 101 miles per hour. You know, Zach Eady going 101 miles per hour. I said this last night. I can't sit here and tell you that I've never pushed 100 in my own damn car.
You know, but there's. There are lessons to be learned. In that space. And here's the difference, and this is why we talk about them. You know, I don't know you from a hole in the wall.
You don't know me outside of what you hear from me here. But we know who they are. And they're public figures, and there's interest in who they are in their lives. And in the case of Adrian Peterson, I mean, we can go down a long list of famous athletes and famous players. Yesterday, this day in sports history, O.J.
Simpson in 94 was rolling down the highway during the NBA Finals.
So we can go and identify major folks, but it doesn't change the fact that I've met and have spoken to and been around Adrian Peterson plenty of times. He ain't my friend. But I've always had great experiences with him. All I can do is share with you the facts and the reality. And he is a public figure.
His life has been public. His suspension from his job in the NFL was very public for reasons that I discussed when it came down to the child abuse. And that's all very public. There's no denying that. I can only talk about what I know.
I mean, your next-door neighbor might be doing the same thing, but he ain't Adrian Peterson. And so here we are. And I understand that. And I would say my only pushback is And I was just watching the uh I guess the documentary on um Inside the NBA with uh Charles Barkley, and it kind of brought me back to you know, the I guess that was the late eighties, early nineties when, you know, the right guard commercials or what was what was Chuck's uh model? Yeah, well, we know that, and we've heard that for a real long time.
I think in 2025 when unfortunately a lot of the world is stuck in a smartphone, I I think the idea of role models is way thrown out the window. I I think we're way past that conversation. 1,000%. 1,000%. Hey, listen, man.
Um, great show, as always. Uh, Continue to do what you do, and uh, you know. Take it easy, man.
Well, thank you, Greg, for calling from Baltimore. I appreciate you. You mean to tell me, Marco Belay, you're not a role model? Hell no. Oh damn.
Yeah. Yeah. I was looking for you to guide. I was like, I need guidance. Let me go to Marco Belletti.
But I guess not, huh? I'll tell you what's on my mind, but that's not guidance that you should probably be following. You're not. You're not Yoda in a Yankee calf? Uh no.
Okay, I know. You know that. He's got the Yankee cap on right now.
Well Well, I don't know. I mean, that's fishing a barrel of it.
Well, you think I don't know who Marco? You don't think I know Marco? No, but like, okay, it's not every day he wears the AK. Yes, it is. Botched.
Yes, it is. Almost. No, no. Every day. Come and hear me.
Have I ever met you in person yet? Nope.
Well there you go.
Okay. I think I've met Marco a few times over the years, just a few.
So it's not every day in life, but every day here? Oh, yeah. Guaranteed. I I think I I think I have an idea. Yoda in a baseball cap, he is.
He is. Hey, Mark, you know my favorite uh my favorite scene from Yoda, right? What's that? It's when uh It's when Luke kept asking him all them questions. He's like, man, screw this stuff.
I'm just going to die. He just disappeared. He was like, you'll be fine. Go ahead. Go force them with you.
I've had enough. Man, I've had too much of these damn kids asking me these questions. Eight billion questions. I'm living in a swamp in Dagobah. I've had enough.
That's enough. Go. And you'll. Yoda rolled over and said, I'm done. Didn't I tell you not to go see Vader?
Chopped off your hand. I've had enough. I've had enough. I'm not doing this anymore. Yo, shout outs to Yoda.
He was a genius. Oh, man. If we could only roll over and when Yoda died, where did he go? I don't know where the he died after training. Yeah, but where do you go when you're just that hologram a Jedi?
Yeah, I guess. But they're all Jedi's. There only some of them apparently could come back and see you in the afterlife. Uh Yoda. Obi-Wan and apparently Anakin.
Well, yeah. Wherever he went was good enough for him, okay? And shoutouts to Yoda, a great American hero. Damn, that's America?
Well Alien hero? I'm starting to wonder if I live in the Dagobah system with all the swamp of disgusting. How many galaxies far, far away do I gotta go before Yoda's an American? I don't know. It's a lot of galaxies.
It's a lot of galaxies. It's the JR Sport Re Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. Let's stick to our current galaxy. Let's go to Indianapolis. Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore. But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again. It's time for this day in sports history. See, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything and it was primitive and lousy and we did it. The JR Sport Brief Show.

unanimous decision and still the undisputed. Finally champion of the world. We have no. Hill deal hard. Finally here.
Yeah, shout out to Avanda and Atlanta legend. June 19th, 1999, Brett Hall, controversial goal. He eliminated the Sabres triple overtime. His Dallas Stars ended up winning that game 2-1. The Stars won the cup in six games, and the goal that Brett Hull scored.
His skate was in the crease. Didn't matter. There was no overturning it. It was certainly controversial. This is what Brett Hull had to say about his Stanley Cup winning goal.
This is courtesy of the NHL. When the puck got shot at the net and it was lying there in my feet and I kicked it up to myself. Watch it down! Everything stopped for me. Mm-hmm.
And I saw it go in. Mm-hmm. And I'm like, I can't believe I just wanted to stay like cut. It's over. The Dallas Davs are the 1999 Stanley Cup championship.
It's an incredible trophy. The history is incredible. Think about Gordy Howe, Belleville, Richard, Esposito, or all these names. on this cup and your name is on there with them. It's surreal.
Yeah, when it's done, it's done. They ain't no turning back from nothing. June 19th, the year 2000. How about this? Pacers fans don't want to remember this.
The Lakers beat the Pacers. Fortitude, they smoked them.

June 19th, 2016, the Cavs, they won the 2016 finals. You could thank Draymond Green in that suspension. The Cavaliers, they bounced back from a 3-1 deficit. They won the final game, game 7, 93-89. Listen to this final call from Mike Green on ABC.
Pig a dollar to inbounds. Shepherd trying to stay with Curry, catches one dribble, steps back, puts up a three, won't go. Rebound tip taken by Spates. Final second, it's over. It's over.

Indiana leads OKC 64. It's a 42.
Now look, this is not out the ordinary. Is Shea Gilgis Alexander has fifteen points? Jalen Williams continues his hot scoring with sixteen points. But then if we take a look, At the Indiana Pacers. Mr.
Busted Up Leg, is he gonna play? Is he not gonna play? I told you it might have all been a mirage, might have been a ruse, and surely there was some legitimacy to it. All gamesmanship. Tyrese Halliburton.
12 points and 4 assists here in the first half of the game. He is 3 or 5 from downtown. If you're launching threes, I think your leg is fine. Pascal Siakam with thirteen. TJ McConnell OB Topping with eighteen or excuse me, eight points apiece off the bench.
So we'll see what happens. We've seen bigger deficits overcome. Pacers lead the Thunder sixty four to forty two. Pacers out here trying to force a game seven. Regardless of what happens, we'll talk about it tomorrow.
