It is the JR Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you so much to everybody tuned in and locked in all over North America. I hope you're safe. I hope you're well. I hope you're amazing on this Wednesday.

It's my job to help you get over the hump, get you closer to the end of the week. I'm in Atlanta. Thank you to our producer holding it down tonight. He's in New York City.

It's Ryan Botcher. And wherever you might be, whatever you might be up to, thank you for being here. You can always listen on the free Odyssey app, your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate. If you have SiriusXM, it's channel 375.

If you got yourself a smart speaker, ask the speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network. I get started every weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. So where have you been? We talked about Steph Curry. Unfortunately, he's out for a week at minimum with a strained hamstring.

It's terrible. Warriors might be cooked. Hey, we talked about Tyrese Halliburton, Mr. Overrated. Thank you so much to Dustin, to Pierak for joining us from the Indianapolis Star. He thinks that these Indiana Pacers, they can keep on rolling, especially if the Cavs are going to be hurt. Speaking about hurt, I don't know if there are hurt feelings in Pittsburgh.

I think some of them are kind of like, whatever. George Pickens moved. No longer a member of the Steelers. He's been traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Thank you to Joe Hoyt from DLLS Cowboys for joining us to talk about how Mr. Pickens will fit in with the Dallas Cowboys. Maybe he'll learn to show up one time.

A little bit more crowded and traffic a little bad in Dallas, Texas. I mean, if Pickens is having trouble showing up to work in Pittsburgh, what's he going to do down in the Metroplex? I have no idea. Hopefully things work out for him down in Dallas and maybe the Pittsburgh Steelers, they lose to Pickens and they add in Aaron Rodgers.

I don't know. Everybody is still waiting to see what Aaron Rodgers does. Apparently, Aaron Rodgers doesn't even know what he's going to do or he does and he just wants the attention and is not going to share it with anyone. Meanwhile, we got a basketball game going on right now. The second quarter, about a minute to go in this game. The Boston Celtics lead the New York Knicks minutes ago in the first half, excuse me, the Celtics lead the Knicks 49 to 39 is now about a half a minute to go. So hey, New York Knicks from behind. And by the way, again, both of these teams suck from three-point land. Pretty, pretty miserable.

I actually want to give you an update. At one point in time, the New York Knicks were one of nine from downtown and the Boston Celtics, they continue their awful putrid shooting from three. They were three of 14. Let's give you an update on that one since everybody likes to shoot threes.

Oh, this has got them. Ryan, why they shooting all these damn threes, man? The Knicks are three of 12 and Celtics are five of 21. I guess eventually somebody has to get hot, but this is ugly. Three is greater than two. You know what they say? You make more threes or win. This is some ugly-ass basketball. You make more threes?

Well, yeah. Yeah, Boston has made two more threes than the Knicks and the Knicks still suck. 49 to 41 is a score right here. Let's see what this game looks like as we approach the second half. The Celtics leading 49 to 41.

It is Wednesday. Outside of talking basketball and football, we just talked about Chador Sanders and whether or not he is overrated. Tom Brady said, I didn't draft them because I didn't have a lot of input.

Oh, yeah, sure. Tom Brady. In honor of Tyrese Halliburton, who last night was serenaded in Cleveland via chants of overrated. It made me think about players who are not overrated, but their clutch, Tyrese Halliburton, knocking down that big three last night to win the game. A matter of fact, this is a stat to chew on. Over the past 20 years in the NBA, in the playoffs, the postseason, a matter of fact, period, there has not been a player to go ahead and grab his own rebound following a missed free throw and knock down a game-winning three. That is how unlikely what we saw last night is. A, that he got the rebound on his own missed shot.

B, that he was able to get out enough to three point land and then C or three to go out there and knock it down. It's Tyrese Halliburton. He ain't overrated.

That man is clutch. And so inspired by Tyrese Halliburton, as I do every single Wednesday, it's time to deliver you a new top six list. And tonight it's not Halliburton.

Halliburton is not on the list. Don't hold your breath on it. We're going to take a look at some of the top clutch athletes ever. Okay. It's the JR sport re-show on the infinity sports network and let's get things rolling. Six, five, four, three, two, one. It's time to get JR's latest top six list only on the JR sport brief. It is the JR sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network. It is Wednesday.

Every Wednesday it's time for a new top six list and Halliburton a clutch performance last night. He did something that we haven't seen done in the NBA in 20 years. It's like, I'm going to miss the free throw. I'm going to get my own rebound. I'm going to dribble from underneath the basket to the top of the three point line. I'm going to drill a three and I'm going to win the game. Damn.

That's a lot. We have some athletes who seemingly have done things like that all the damn time. We got some athletes who just seems like they are so successful. They don't miss.

And yeah, we know nobody's perfect, but these athletes somehow, some way more often than not, things always seem to go the right way for them. It's a list of the top six clutch athletes ever. It's a top six list. What number do we start with? Number six. Oh, this is an easy one.

Where do I, where do I start? Where does it end? Oh my God. This man has four Stanley cup trophies. He has two playoff MVP. He has four overtime wins winners.

Okay. He has the most points per game in NHL playoff history. I can go on and on. Most playoff goals, most playoff assists, most playoff. Oh, come on. Now it's Wayne Gretzky.

Okay. He may not have the most goals ever at all in the regular season anymore in NHL history. Shout outs to Ovechkin.

Not really. I'm mad. Gretzky lost the record, but ain't nobody topping Wayne Gretzky. Come on. I can keep going.

I be be here forever. Most playoff career hat tricks. It's just Wayne Gretzky. This man was known for not just passing the puck, but also scoring the puck. He was doing it all with the puck. He is the great one. I want you to take a listen to this from masterclass because Wayne Gretzky has been attributed with one of the most famous quotes ever.

Okay. It's about, you know, you don't take a shot, you miss. Listen to Wayne Gretzky explain not only his greatness, but this antidote for life. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I always felt like it doesn't matter who scores as long as the team scores. And so I used to get frustrated when people would say he should shoot more, Wayne should shoot more. You got to take more shots. And finally I got to a point, it was about 1990 and I'd heard it over and over and over and over, I guess, since I was about 12. I don't even know how I thought of it. And I just said, I know, I know 100% of the shots you don't take don't go in. So it was kind of a backstory to how that quote sort of where it came from and how it kind of got out there. Yeah. Wayne, Wayne, that's it's life, right? Man, you don't put yourself out there. You don't get nothing back. How the hell you going to catch some fish?

How the heck you going to eat if you don't go fishing? Wayne Gretzky, one of the greatest of all time. Oh yeah. One of the top six clutch athletes ever. I have him at number six on my list. What's the next number? Number five. Oh, let's go from the ice.

Let's go to the grass. This man tortured the New York Yankees. This guy started his career with the Minnesota Twins.

They said, we don't want him. He sucks. This guy goes to the Boston Red Sox and becomes a hall of famer. This guy helps break the curse. This guy helps the Red Sox win one of their first titles or their first title actually since 1918. This guy, one of the most clutch performers ever in sports. It's David Ortiz. This man went from the twins playing in front of that plastic bag to being a hall of famer, just with the bat and go out there and play no defense.

This man just hit and hit and hit some more. He's a three time champ. And who can forget Yankee fans might want to forget his performance in 2004 American League Championship Series MVP against the Yankees, helping them come back and win and go to the World Series and win it.

Think about this. This is the postseason in one series. He batted 387, three home runs, 11 RBIs, even bested Mariano Rivera, which is crazy.

He had two walk offs, a home run in Game 4, a single in Game 5. I want you to listen to this because this man, David Ortiz, he was sitting down with Alex Rodriguez and he was asked about his focus in these moments. And this was on MLB. Listen to what Big Papi had to say as I was getting mature and getting more experience.

And I used to work on history and result. And it was three homers that I hit during this playoff that I expect those pitchers to give me those pitches. Control, Paul, when he was with the Blue Jays, he had that front door fastball that he would throw right at you and boom, come back to the plate. And the minute I saw him coming out of the bullpen, I went to looking for the front door fastball. Ortiz in a deep right field.

We'll see you later tonight. I'm glad that the home run you hit a Cointreau decorated your life. It ruined mine. Oh, listen, Alex Rodriguez, there's some other things that ruin your life that had nothing to do with David Ortiz. David Ortiz, one of the biggest clutch performers ever in sports history, especially the weight of the world wasn't on his shoulders.

1918, 2004. And then the guy won World Series MVP in 2013. I can go on David Ortiz.

Nice guy, by the way. Ridiculously clutch performer, David Ortiz, number five on my list. Some of the top clutch athletes ever. It's a top six. Who's next?

Number four. You know what? I'm I'm going to stay on the baseball field, OK? I'm going to go opposite from the Boston Red Sox. And I know David Ortiz, he had his time with this guy. But I think being a pitcher is even more impressive. And number four on the list, my top six clutch athletes ever.

Number four. I have Mariano Rivera. I got him ahead of David Ortiz. David Ortiz got a hit off for him to extend that series and ultimately win it. But here's the thing about Mariano Rivera. He's the perfect example, especially in a sport where you're going to fail more often than not. Mariano Rivera failed. But more often than not, oh, my God, this guy just he just sat you down. There were no ands, ifs or buts about what he was going to do out there on the baseball field.

Listen to this. Forget regular season. He's in the Hall of Fame. He has more saves than anybody who ever played in Major League Baseball. When it came to the postseason, Mariano Rivera has five World Series championships in the postseason.

Mariano Rivera closing things out for the New York Yankees, one of the toughest fan bases, period. He pitched one hundred and forty one innings. Career postseason. Nowadays, it's like a full season for some of these bum pitchers. They don't pitch. He had ninety six games.

This is all postseason. You want to know what his ERA was? Point seven. Oh, his ERA was sub one. Let me say that again.

Point seven. Oh, ERA in the postseason. He pitched one hundred and forty one innings. That is like godlike. We may never see something like that in our lifetimes.

Your lifetime, my lifetime, anybody listening lifetime. And yeah, David Ortiz got the best of them. And yeah, Luis Gonzalez got that bloop against him against the Arizona Diamondbacks. But the most impressive thing is that more often than not, he sat you down. He had a short memory. He didn't care. A matter of fact, Michael K, who's seen every minute and second of Mariano Rivera. He was on the Yes Network. And he said that the greatest thing about Mariano is short memory and classy.

Listen to this. Most people, when they think of Mariano Rivera, they think about how great he is in the games that he actually saved. The thing that impresses me the most about Mariano Rivera is how he always responded to the rare instances when he blew a game. If you consider what's the worst thing that could happen to a baseball player doing something terrible in game seven of a World Series, because there is no tomorrow. Mariano Rivera did that. The Yankees were about ready to nail down their fifth championship in six years against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was a ninth inning of that game. And Mariano Rivera with a rare blown save, walked off the field.

He went into the visiting clubhouse at the Diamondbacks Stadium. And for about an hour and a half, he stood there answering wave after wave after wave of questions. Never snapped at anybody. That's the sign of a champion, how they react in moments of adversity. You got to appreciate that. And that is it's not how it's not how you fall.

It's it's how you get up. Mariano Rivera, class and just for a pitcher .70 era. Oh, yeah, he was he was shut down, especially playing in New York. Mariano Rivera. He's one of the most clutch athletes ever.

Top six list of clutch athletes. Mariano's at four. What's the next number? Number three. You know, you're a big deal. When people forget your last name and they replace it. And number three on my list, his name is Joe.

Cool. Yeah, I got Joe Montana number three on my list of clutch athletes ever. This man's a four time Super Bowl champ. This man is a three time Super Bowl MVP. We all remember that. Well, not everybody, but we all most of us remember the catch that NFC title game against the Dallas Cowboys. Do you remember the drive against the Cincinnati Bengals? Three minutes left. The Bengals up 92 yards.

The 49ers win. Do you remember that? That's why they call this man Joe.

Cool. Yeah, that's why Montana is number three on my list. Everybody in the NFL knew it. Everybody in the NFL knows it.

I want you to listen to this this cut. This is from NFL films. This is a compilation of human beings that played with and against Joe Montana telling you that guy with the football dangerous. If I had to have one quarterback to run my football team, I have one drive. It's Joe Montana. In situations when every other quarterback would get frenetic.

He would get calmer. Montana was in a zone for about six years. That was the mark of Joe Montana. Pressure's on.

So what? Let's go do it. We opened the door. We're going to go do it next week. And we're going to kick ass and take no prisoners. Yeah, that was Joe Montana at the end.

By the way, talking about kicking ass and taking prisoners. You got to appreciate that Joe Montana, Joe Cool, one of the top six clutch athletes ever. He's number three. Who the heck could possibly be in front of him?

This number two at number two. Who could be in front of Joe Montana? Another quarterback, Tom Brady.

Yeah, someone who just basically statistically in every which way possible surpassed Joe Cool. Tom Brady. I can go on seven Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl MVPs, 35 playoff wins. He has more than twice as many as Patrick Mahomes, as most yards and touchdowns in the playoffs, most game winning drives ever, period at 58. And who's going to forget? Sorry, Atlanta fans. About Tom Brady and that 28 to three comeback against the Falcons. Oh yeah, people don't want to remember that. Tom Brady spoke to Fortune and he basically talked about coming back and winning that game.

And he actually said, you know what? I'm glad that we went down because it's, well, just listen to Tom Brady. There's a lot of points where it probably looked like I could have given up and quit. There's a lot of points that the people around me didn't have to support me the way they did it. There's a lot of times where you looked in the mirror thinking, man, I failed on the biggest stage.

And then you know what? When I look back at 28.3, I'm so happy we were down 28.3 now because we wouldn't be talking about it if we were head 28.3 because we overcame something that nobody thought was possible. And we proved to people that when you are down and you are out and you are struggling and it doesn't look great, then you don't quit.

You fight to the end. And we could have lost that game. We could have lost that coin flip in overtime. We didn't, could not have made that two point conversion to tie the game. And I would have been very proud about the way that we went and finished that game because to me it was so much about the process of trying to win.

The process of trying to win. Who's a bigger winner than Tom Brady? Who's a bigger clutch performer than Tom Brady?

I'll tell you who on the other side of the break. Yeah, it's a top six list of the most clutch athletes ever. And number six, I gave you Wayne Gretzky. And number five, I gave you David Ortiz. And number four, I gave you Mariano Rivera. Number three, Joe Montana. Number two, Tom Brady. On the other side of the break. Yeah, you can go ahead and take your guesses.

Maybe you know, maybe you don't. I'm going to tell you who I have at numero uno. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm going to tell you the most clutch athlete ever on the other side of the break.

Don't move. You are listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network.

It is Wednesday. I am bringing you a new top six list. And today, inspired by the the big shot, the clutch performance last night by Tyrese Halliburton.

I'm sharing with you a new top six list as I do every single Wednesday. And today, we're taking a look at the top six clutch athletes ever. Guys who got it done when the going got tough. They didn't flinch. They didn't move. They weren't unmoved.

Even when they failed, they bounced back. And in a few seconds, in a few minutes, I'm about to share with you who I have at number one. But before we get there, if you weren't here last break, where the heck were you? You can listen to the whole list and all the fancy audio on the free Odyssey app.

Just go ahead and hit rewind. At number six, I gave you Wayne Gretzky. At number five, I gave you David Ortiz. And number four, I gave you Mariano Rivera. And number three, I gave you Joe Cool. I gave you Joe Montana. And number two, I gave you Tom Brady, the most accomplished NFL player of all time.

No disrespect to Autogram. It's Tom Brady. Let's stop. Let's show. Let's think about this. And so if I have Tom Brady at number two, seven Super Bowl championships, five Super Bowl MVPs, all these wins, all these comebacks, a big comeback down 28-3 against the Falcons.

Sorry, Falcons fans. Who the heck could I possibly have at numero uno? Well, it's very simple. I'll tell you right now, it's time for this number.

Number one. It's Michael Jordan. Come on now. Like that.

Let's let's let's be. It's Michael Jordan. Everybody wants to talk about competitors and who's the goat and by the stupid goat debates, I hate the stupid, lazy ass conversations, greatest of all time. And this Michael Jordan was 6-0 in the postseason. He was and still is the ultimate competitor.

All right. And he got beat down. He got his ass whooped before he started to go out there and win. You know, everybody that I just named on this list, they didn't always have success right out of the gate.

And it just win all the damn time. You know, we talked about Tom Brady and his conversation with you. I was selected at number one ninety nine. Man, if Drew Bledsoe never got knocked the hell out. We may have never seen Tom Brady, Mariano Rivera, the greatest closer of all time. This man was a failed starter. Mariano Rivera is like, hey, guys, I got four or five innings for you.

Don't ask me for nothing else. They put him in the bullpen, one of the greatest of all time. I told you about David Ortiz. This man was playing in the Metrodome in front of a plastic bag. Looked like he was one step away from being in triple-A.

He's in the Hall of Fame. And so for Michael Jordan, he got his ass whooped. All he does is shoot. Oh, he's a selfish player. Oh, he'll never win. Oh, he'll never get past the Pistons.

They whooping his ass. Come on. Michael Jordan, how about this? I want to give you a little bit of a teaser for this day in sports history. That shot over Craig Elo?

Oh, it took place today, May 7th in 1989. We'll get to that next hour. Who can forget what he did against the Blazers, knocking down all them damn threes? Remember, he beat Utah, beat him twice. Everybody remembers what he did to Byron Russell. Who cares if you put a little hand on him? This is this is NBA when they when it was physical.

None of this none of this crap today. Michael Jordan knocking down that shot. He stole the ball from Karl Malone. He dribbled down the court and he he said, Byron Russell, I'm going to cross you into oblivion.

Go to hell. He knocked down that shot. Six titles, six championships. That's why I got Michael Jordan number one here on my list of top clutch performers of all time. You know what?

Let's take a listen. Michael Jordan sat down with his good buddy Ahmad Rashad, got all the exclusives because that was his friend. And they were having a chat on NBA TV just about his last shot as a bowl. What was going through his mind? Listen to Michael Jordan tell it.

And the only way that he can. What about the last shot you ever took as a member of the Chicago Bulls? The last shot?

What was that shot? Game six. The Bulls can win it right here. The Bulls can win it. Unbelievable. 13 seconds left.

Jordan left side. I practice as if I'm playing a game. So when the moment comes in the game, it's not new to me. That's the beauty of the game of basketball. That's the reason why you practice. That's the effort. So when you get to that moment, you don't have to think.

Instinctively, things happen. Michael Jordan with 45 points. You know, I think it was a very defining moment of what my career was in Chicago. The Chicago Bulls have won their sixth NBA championship. Man, people aspire in basketball. People aspire to be like that, dude. And forget what he did in basketball before he even got to six championships.

There's a whole marketing campaign and it was no lie. People wanted to be like Mike. Him. There's a couple of Mikes. Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson in his own category. We had a bunch of famous Mikes and Michael Jordan was sitting there at the type with Mike Jack, the top of the world.

Michael Jordan, number one on my list when you talk about the most clutch athlete ever. Hey, the phone lines are open. That's 888 710 for ISN.

That's 888 710 for ISN. When I talk about clutch athlete, who comes to your mind? You know, there's a bunch of other athletes I thought about. There's a lot of them, actually. A couple of Yankees, another Red Sox. There's more Patriots.

There's another pacer and there's a blade. I can go down the list. There's so many clutch athletes that we've seen in the world of sports. They all can't fit in a top six 888 710 for ISN.

That's 888 710 for ISN. The top six clutch athletes. Number six, I gave you Gretzky. Number five, I gave you David Ortiz. Number four, I gave you Mariano Rivera. Number three, I gave you Joe Montana. Number two, I gave you Tom Brady. Number one, I gave you Michael Jordan. I'm going to get to your calls on the other side of the break as we talk about some of the best clutch performers in sports history.

We have so much more to get into. We got basketball going on now. We got another basketball game coming. We're talking clutch athletes at the end of the show. We'll talk about things that took place this day in sports history.

We got a new NHL team with a new name. We got a lot to do, but right now it's time for a news flash. Here he is. It's Rich Ackerman. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network.

I just gave you a top six list. We're talking about the most clutch athletes ever. Who do you trust when the game is on the line? Who do you trust when the innings are? Well, there ain't no more innings. You're down to your final out.

Who do you trust to get the job done for that game-winning drive? The phone lines are open. That's 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. I'm going to go hit your phone calls in a second and give you a quick recap if you're just tuning in right now. We got a little bit of deja vu up in Boston as the Celtics are smoking the Knicks right now. 73 to 53. Less than three minutes to go here in the third quarter. The last time we saw this, the Boston Celtics shot themselves out of the game. Right now, neither one of these teams necessarily having the best three-point shooting percentage. The Knicks are 4 of 18 from downtown. The Boston Celtics 8 of 26 from 3. Leading the way for the Boston Celtics, Jaylen Brown with 20. You got White coming through, Derek White at 18 points. Tatum only has 9. He is 4 of 14 from the field overall. Tatum in a little bit of a slump and they are still whooping the Knicks by 20. Jaylen Brunson only with 8 points. Not good. Karl Anthony Towns with 18. I don't know if the Knicks are going to have no turnaround in this one.

We'll have to wait and see on that one. Hey, it is Wednesday as I just told you. Just gave you a top 6 list of clutch athletes. At number 6, I gave you Wayne Gretzky. Number 5, I gave you David Ortiz. Number 4, I gave you Mariano Rivera. Number 3, I gave you Joe Montana. Number 2, Tom Brady.

Number 1, Michael Jordan. If you missed the list, the explanations, go ahead and hit rewind on the free Odyssey app. Just get the Odyssey app and search the Infinity Sports Network and you can listen to every minute and second of the show.

You can hit pause. You can do all of that great stuff. Now, there are more than 6 great clutch athletes. Of course there's more than 6.

Of course. I had to whittle this list down. And so right now I'm going to get to the phone lines and get your thoughts.

Of course there are more Red Sox and Yankees. There's plenty of players I could have put on this list. Let's start off. 888-7-10 for ISN. Brian is calling from Milwaukee. Hey Brian, you're on the JR Sport Brief Show.

Give me a clutch performer. I'll tell you JR, my clutch performer, but before that a little bit about Joe Cool and the drive. In the middle of the huddle, Joe Cool points out John Candy in the stands in the huddle.

And after that the group just got together and went down for that 92 yards. That's a fact. God bless John Candy. God rest his soul. He wasn't hard to miss now, was he? That's right.

And that was the drive. And I know you can't put everybody on there. You have to put Jeter on there. Put a lot of guys on there. Tigers got to be on there somewhere, my man. Well, yeah.

Well, I mean, he's had a couple of, well, I mean, the last one, 2019, that might be the ultimate comeback, huh? Oh my goodness, man. I wouldn't get off that couch. My wife had to grab me a beer out the fridge and bring it to me.

I wasn't leaving. Well, what beer were you drinking? What type of beer? Miller Lite. Miller Lite.

Milwaukee. A Miller Lite. So how many Miller Lites you was putting down?

About three or four, man. Yeah, you go through one. No, but you can't just have one Miller Lite. The Miller Lites go down fast.

They go down pretty fast. Hey Brian, thank you for calling from Milwaukee, man. Appreciate you. Appreciate you too.

Have a good one. No doubt about it. That's Brian from Milwaukee. You talk about a clutch performance. He's looking at, at Tiger Woods. Unfortunately for Tiger Woods, that might, that might've been his, well, damn it. It was his last big time clutch performance. The guy's just old and he can't stay healthy at this point in time. And as Brian also said, there's another guy who wore pinstripes besides Mariano Rivera.

He mentioned Derek Jeter, 8-8-8-7-10-4-I-S-N. That's 8-8-8-7-10-4-I-S-N. We're talking about some of the best clutch performers ever in the world of sports. Let's go to Toronto and Canada and talk to Alan. Alan, you're on the JR Sport Reshow. What's on your mind?

Adam, very curious. Talk about pressure. My God, I still remember the 2002 game against Oakland, a 16-13 win. And he, he kicked the tying end, the winning field goal in completely blizzard-like conditions, near impossible conditions. And he, he played 24 years in the NFL, four-time Super Bowl champion. And look at his post-season points, 238 and overtime, overtime kicks, 12 of them, you know. And he played till the advanced age of 47 in a three-time Pro Bowler. And most consecutive, most consecutive field goals made at 44 in 21 seasons of 100-plus points. And, you know, when the game was on the line, he was at his very best.

You know, a lot of times butterflies in the stomach were about the size of pigeons when he, when he came up late in the game. Oh, slow down, Alan, slow down. Sure.

Thank you. Yeah, we can look at Adam Vinatieri. I mean, the man has two game-winning field goals in Super Bowls just flattened, period. I mean, we can go through all of his numbers. How many guys have decided to kick in two game-winning field goals? I mean, he was not just a beneficiary.

He was a key, a key reason why they, they won the championships. Tom Brady has to say thank you to him for setting up some of those drives or finishing them, I should say. I just heard that Justin Tucker was released. That's a travesty. That is a travesty. Well, Alan, what makes it so much of a shame? Yeah, I guess he deserved it, but, you know, he said he'll go kick her too. You know, it was, it was, yeah. His career is probably gone by now, I guess. Yeah, well, I mean, you have, he had this, well, he was on the downslide a little bit, but you have this one bad year and then you couple the year with the culmination of 16 women saying that you were doing things you should have been doing at massage sessions, then yeah, then he got the boot. You're not surprised about that, are you?

You thought he was going to keep his job? Yeah, I know. I'm disappointed, not surprised at all. He deserved it, but I am disappointed because he was one of my favorites. Okay, all right.

Well, you're going to have to root for him, I don't know, maybe to beat the case. I don't know. He's just, I highly doubt that we see him back on a football field, Alan, okay? Yeah, it's a shame.

Yeah, he was one of the best. I don't know. It's a shame.

I don't know if it's a shame. We don't know if he's innocent or not. I mean, if he was doing this stuff, then I don't feel bad for the guy. I don't care. Yeah, he needs his due process too. You know, she could be a gold digger too, so you never know.

She is 16, 16 women? I don't know. Hey, due process, let's put it this way, Alan, and thank you for calling from Toronto. Due process doesn't have anything to do with the court of public opinion in the NFL. The NFL, we saw this with Chadore Sanders.

The league and the teams have to decide whether or not you are enough of a distraction where they don't want you. Like, and it is, there's a double standard here. I think everybody knows and understands that. Like we have all types of terrible people, people who have put their hands on women and we, we can go through the list of not just accusations, but of findings in the NFL. And I don't know, maybe it's not an NFL thing more. It's maybe it's more of a societal thing where, oh, that's okay, but that's not okay. Like if you, I got to watch my words here. If you're a you know what, then that's just what you are.

It doesn't matter what, what, what crime you committed or what level of crime you committed. Yeah. There's a, there's sure a hell difference between somebody being a litterbug and somebody putting their hands on somebody else. But in the NFL due process, the NFL is not looking at necessarily what's going on in the court, unless it's going to influence what takes place in the court of public opinion, whether or not it's going to screw up the money. Look, come on. We got Tyreek Hill running around the NFL. You stopping, you stopping to watch the dolphins. Did you stop watching the dolphins? Cause Tyreek Hill is out there. I think not.

I can go down the list. Deshaun Watson gets the attention though. I mean, no, I mean maybe sexual assault has a, a different strike to it for a lot of people than, than somebody who hit a woman. I don't know.

It's terrible. But yeah, Justin Tucker, he deserves due process. He'll, he'll have his day. But the Ravens said too much of a distraction.

No, thank you. He's going to have to find work somewhere else or maybe just be retired. I can't see another NFL team picking him up, but yeah, to your original point, Adam Vinatieri. Yeah, most definitely one of the most clutch athletes, one of the most clutch performers of all time had that game winning field goal for the Patriots against the Rams did it again a couple of years later against the Carolina Panthers. Ain't no doubt about it. Adam Vinatieri, one of the most clutch performers ever. And let's ask our producer, Ryan Botcher here with us as well.

He can't fit every name into six spots. Who's one of your most favorite clutch athletes of all time, right? Favorite?

Oh my gosh. My team, my teams roughly were just terrible in itself, but locally David Wright was the most clutch because he was Captain America at the home run for Team USA at the Home Run World Series. But I'd say we grew up in like my time with Kobe Bryant, of course, Robert Horry and then Derek Jeter.

Those three were mainly the top three when I was growing up. Big shot, Bob, huh? Yeah, just it wasn't it wasn't the fact that he was an overall great player. It was just he hit clutch shots on championship winning teams.

Yeah, must be nice, right? Kobe passed me the ball. Shaq passed me the ball.

Lakeem Olajuwon passed me the ball. What's Robert Horry got? Seven championships? How many you got?

You got seven. It must be nice. Well, you got some people, they just in the right place at the right time. Robert Horry got the job done. I mean, we say that I say that all the time about Draymond Green. Draymond Green on on the Toronto Raptors, not a champ, not a Hall of Famer. And I know what happened a couple of years ago.

I'm just talking about in a general sense. Draymond Green on the New Orleans Pelicans, not a Hall of Famer. Draymond Green on the Magic, not a Hall of Famer. Draymond on the Knicks, not a Hall of Famer.

Probably be gone on a couple of teams by now. Draymond Green right place, right time with Steph Curry. Smart man. Pass. Curry. The ball. Unfortunately, he's not going to be able to do that for about a week now with Steph Curry out with that hamstring strain.

Yeah, wild stuff. Anyway, hey, speaking of the Knicks, the Knicks are losing right now. Boston leads a seventy five up. Seventy six.

The sixty one seventy six, sixty one. Just a minute gone by in the game or left in the game. There's 11 minutes left in the game. Boston's whooping that ass. Understand that I'm going to get some more of your calls about clutch athletes. Now we got another basketball game starting. Don't move. It's the Gerald sport reshow.
