The New York Knicks took a 2-0 series lead against the Boston Celtics after overcoming a 20-point deficit for the second time in the series. The Celtics' struggles with three-point shooting and Jason Tatum's poor performance were major factors in their loss. Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder were engaged in a close matchup, with the Thunder leading 20-9 at the end of the first quarter.

That's also easy, you don't even have to lift a finger. Ask the speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network. Right now the Celtics and Knicks are going at it. About six and a half minutes left here in the game. Boston leads 84 to 72. The Knicks were down 20.

Are we really going to get a case of deja vu? I know the Celtics fans hope not. Jason Tatum not having the greatest of games. Nine points on four of 16 shooting.

Ouch. Derek White has 18, Jalen Brown has 20. We'll keep you up to date on that game as things continue on. In about 30 minutes, we're going to see if the Denver Nuggets can take a 2-0 series lead against the Oklahoma City Thunder. We've had some great guests who've come by. Thank you so much to Dustin Dopiric from the Indianapolis Star. He came through to have a chat with us about the Pacers and Halliburton, who's now I guess known as Mr. Overrated. And then also a great chat with Joe Hoyt, who covers the Dallas Cowboys. All things D-L-L-S. Cowboys. George Pickens moving from the Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys.

Yeah, it's been a busy day. And then unfortunately we learned that Steph Curry suffered a hamstring strain. We may not see Steph Curry for the rest of the playoffs.

They said that at minimum. Best case scenario, we see him next week. And then of course it's Wednesday. Every Wednesday I bring you a new top six list. And so today we decided to talk about some of the best clutch performers ever in sports. If you missed the full list, get the Odyssey app, A-U-D-A-C-Y. Look up the JR Sport Brief Show, the Infinity Sports Network, whichever one you want. And you can listen to the whole show.

You can hit rewind and pause and all of that good stuff here. Let me give you the truncated version. And number six, I gave you Wayne Gretzky. And number five, I gave you David Ortiz. And number four, I gave you Mariano Rivera. Number three, I gave you Joe Montana. Number two, I gave you Tom Brady. And number one, I gave you Michael Jordan. Of course there are more than six great clutch performers in the world of sports, in the history of sports.

I only gave you a few. There are more Yankees. There's players from all over. We had a couple of callers once said, and shout outs to Alan, he's like, hey, Adam Vinatieri.

We went to Wisconsin. We heard about Tiger Woods. Clutch performer.

There's so many. Hey, I mean, even even Ryan Bocce. Hey, Robert Ory. He's not the superstar that these other guys were.

But this man has Ryan. He's got seven titles, seven rings. Let me see if I can do it in order. Let me see. Houston Rockets. Los Angeles Lakers. San Antonio Spurs. Did I name all of that?

I hit all of them. Rockets Lakers Spurs. That's it, right?

Nothing else? No. Oh, yeah, because he got the two with the Rockets.

Yeah. And Lakers, he got you got three. Oh, dammit. Well, man, who am I missing?

I feel like I'm missing somebody. Lakers got three and that's two. That's five. Two. Yeah.

So, yeah, that makes sense. Seven and two with the Spurs. Good for him. Robert, a big shot, Bob. We've had a big shot, Bob, here on the show before. Hey, let's get to the phones. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.

When I say clutch performer, you say who? Let's go ahead to Maryland and talk to Todd. Todd, you're on the JR Sportbreeze show. What's up?

Hey, JR. Not too much, brother. Good show, man. Thank you so much. You're welcome.

You're welcome, buddy. Clutch performers. Number five. Baltimore Orioles. Brooks Robinson. Mr.

Clutch. That was his nickname. OK. Well, come on, Todd.

Give us give us a little bit more than that. I mean, he's before my time. I know he's in the Hall of Fame. I can read off his stats, but you watched him live and in person in Maryland. So tell the country why.

OK, buddy, I'm a show my age, but I used to watch it when I was a kid. And if there was a guy on any base, he would knock him in no matter. I mean, he was like 99 percent. He was going to get it done. So he was a good ballplayer. OK. Yeah, I know you won that World Series. You know that big red machine beat the big red machine.

We'll see. Great player, Mr. Clutch. Yeah, buddy. Well, thank you, Todd. Appreciate you, man. Yes, sir. You too.

All the best. Shots to Todd coming through. He's like Brooks Robinson. I'm like, yeah, he stopped playing. Let's see what he stopped playing before I was born. Yeah.

Yeah, he stopped playing before I was alive. Thank you for coming through a Hall of Fame. A shout out to the Orioles.

I mean, for. Well, not right now. For a time, they look like they were on the up and up, but their pitching currently sucks. And I don't know if we want to blame it all on injuries.

Looked like they were there, but not not anymore. The New York Knicks are playing this close. Ryan, you were not getting we're not getting a replay of what we saw a couple of nights ago, are we?

I don't know. I feel like the Knicks were a lot closer in Game one at this point. Celtics can't blow this. Well, they can blow this game. But they shouldn't. Well, they weren't supposed to blow the last one, right? No, not at all. But that's what happens when you chuck up 63 pointers.

Yeah, they didn't. I feel like now I have to check every single game what it looks like. OK, back to chucking up these threes tonight. I don't know what's going on with Tatum. He is just in a slump. The Boston Celtics have shot.

This is not 60. They've shot 37 threes so far. They've only made 10. The New York Knicks have shot 26 threes.

They've made eight. The score is now 86 to 79. Time is not on the New York Knicks side. Of course, we know in the modern NBA where everybody's shooting threes, you can get back into a game rather quickly as Jalen Brunson knocked down that three to make it 86 79.

I don't know. I'm going to stick with the Celtics holding on. They can't suck that bad in two consecutive games.

Obviously, we'll keep you up to date as this one continues on. A matter of fact, you want to talk about a matchup that just makes you want to scratch your head just a little bit. Maybe not so much. It was only two nights ago that Jokic and the Nuggets beat the Thunder 121 to 119 in game one of their matchup. Aaron Gordon, speaking of threes, he knocked down a big three to win that game. And outside of the Nuggets top six or seven dudes, once you get past Russell Westbrook, you kind of start scratching your head like where they coming from with the depth.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma City is like they're deep all the way into the bench with a bunch of young dudes just getting up and down and up and down the court. And they lost. And Denver went out there and stole one. Who's thinking of Aaron Gordon knocking down a game winning three?

Yeah, I think the answer pretty much is is nobody. Jokic had 42 points and 22 rebounds. He may have to do that again tonight. They get started in about 20 minutes from now and we'll see who walks away with the victory. Either the game is or the series is going to be tied at one all or the Denver Nuggets are going to take a 2-0 lead.

And Chet Holmbrim, he missed some big free throws at the end of the game, allowing Aaron Gordon to knock down that game winning three. Chet Holmbrim said, man, I just I just want to play ball. Let's get to it.

I sucked in the last one. Yeah, obviously when you when you don't do something as good as you feel you can do something. And when something doesn't go in your favor, you know, there's always an eagerness readiness to get out there and kind of clean those things up, fix them up and, you know, be better. And that's what we're looking to do. But make your free throws next time, OK?

Chet Holmbrim missed two free throws with nine seconds left that kept it a one point game, allowing Aaron Gordon to come by and just all of a sudden become Reggie Miller. What are we doing here? What are we doing?

And I don't know if this is to believe to be believed. Jamal Murray, who in most cases is just like, I'm not even going to play in a regular season. I'm hurt.

Who cares? He waits until the playoffs to give give a damn if he's healthy. Jamal Murray said nobody believes we us the Denver Nuggets with our brand new head coach. We got Adelman's kid out here and we don't got no bench. He said nobody expects them to win.

Is he lying? I mean, no one ever expects us to win. So.

For four years, it's been the same. We just deal with it and go do our thing and and yeah, be ready for to play. I mean, no one expects us to win, though, ever. So I know where that's coming from.

Oh, my God. OK, fine. Everybody wants a chip on their shoulder. All the athletes want a chip on their shoulder. I just gave you a top six list of some of the most clutch performers ever. Michael Jordan was number one on the list. He's 62 years old. Michael Jordan still wants smoke with the guy who cut him in high school.

He's probably gone by now. He wants beef with the guy who took the spot. Michael Jordan shows up to old people conventions and he wants to go one on one with Dr. J and Magic Johnson. Like, yo, you're 62 brothers. Relax. Be competitive, playing cards or something. Just leave the basketball alone. Michael Jordan or athletes always looking for an edge. They're always looking for a slight.

They're always looking for something to go out there and motivate them. Would anybody really be surprised if Denver went up to oh, I wouldn't be Ron. What do you think? Would you be surprised?

I think so. I would be 100 percent surprised because the Nuggets have no bench, no shooting, nothing really besides Jokic and sometimes Jamal Murray. Yeah, I think that that Jokic guys is a big part. Unfortunately, they got to ride him until the wheels fall off. And ironically, in an NBA where you got guys, the meat is falling off the bone for some of these dudes.

You can take a look in the color. Jokic doesn't look like the. Doesn't look like no Greek God isn't walking around looking like someone you'd say is going to beat you in a foot race. The guy is relatively healthy and maybe it is the fact that he's not jumping through the gym or can't. He's basically ground base.

He's always out there. He's playing a crap ton of minutes with high usage and his efficiency is still through the roof. And I think just having him at the core of the other players surrounding the Denver Nuggets can go ahead and step it up.

I think it bodes well. I'd still choosing the Oklahoma City Thunder to ultimately beat them. I wouldn't be surprised if Denver got another one tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if they got kind of the doors blown off if they get up and down the court. But with Jokic on the floor. Yeah, I know Shay Gilgas Alexander will likely win the MVP. Jokic is still the best player in the league today. How about this new head coach, Rick Adelman's son?

I'm sorry. Let him win something before I call him his name. He's basically saying we have to do what we have to do and not worry about OKC.

Sounds like something a coach would say, a new one. Yeah, you have to take care of yourself. You know, we're going to maintenance ourselves and try to beat this team. And to beat them four times is going to be an unbelievable challenge. But, you know, embrace it.

And we know what this is. To me, it's like the 60s playing the seven seed, you know, in the West. The West is unbelievable. So them being the one seed, us being the four seed, throw that all out.

OK. All right. Well, yeah, well, Nuggets a couple of seasons ago, these are your defending champs. The other head coach, I have to say, Mark Dagnall, he talked about being a loser in game one and try not to be a loser in game two. At the end of the day, you know, we talked about it before the playoffs.

We talked about it before the season. This is how you forge yourself into the team you want to be. You know, you forge yourself into it through success and through adversity. It's hard to handle success. This team's done a great job of handling success. It's hard to handle adversity. This team's done a great job of handling adversity. If you're competing, you're going to have your share of success and adversity. You know, we're this isn't the first time we've handled adversity before. This isn't the first time we've handled adversity in the playoffs. Teams made a great habit of that. We have to continue to do that here. And speaking of handling adversity. Oh, my goodness. The Boston Celtics.

They might be staring adversity in the face. It's still plenty of time here. About two and a half minutes to go in the game. The New York Knicks have made this a game. Carl Anthony Towns with a big layup and one.

Eighty six to eighty five. The Celtics lead the New York Knicks. The New York Knicks were down in this game just like they were in the first game. The Celtics had another 20 point lead. The New York Knicks fight back. They are down one with a little more than two minutes to go. And if the Celtics blow this game. Jason Tatum is going to be just reminded ad nauseum by what took place in the Olympics.

He was going to start calling him overrated. What a crap game he has here. Nine points, four of 18 from the field. The Celtics have missed their last 10 shots.

The New York Knicks are on a 17 to two run. In Tatum, he better redeem himself. This is the time for him to redeem himself.

Otherwise. He's getting a crappy out of the Celtics, having scored a field goal in six and a half minutes. This is a crazy one. Jalen Brunson has the ball, not what you want. And Jalen Brunson has just given the New York Knicks their very first lead.

Eighty seven to eighty six. This one is getting dicey in Boston as the Celtics might be blowing another 20 point lead. This is a wild one. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbree show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We are going to take a break when we come back. Of course, we'll give you an update on this game and everything going on in the world of sports. The Boston Celtics have blown another 20 point lead.

Are the New York Knicks going to hold on to one or will Boston retake? We'll tell you about it on the other side of the break. At the end of the show, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. And then we got some other news.

And of all places, Utah. We got a lot to do. Oh, man, Boston might blow this lead. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbree show on the Infinity Sports Network. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbree. It is the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I need you to think O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs.

90 to 89. New York Knicks trying to take a lead and trying to snatch another victory here. Oh, my goodness. Jalen Brunson is just he's a man on fire. They sent this guy to the free throw line. Hey, Ryan, we talk.

How long ago were we talking about this? Like 20 minutes ago is just like how can it was 20 points that the Celtics led and then it got chopped down to 10. And then you're looking at the clock going, hey, there's only four minutes to go here. But the Celtics team went about six and a half minutes without scoring a single point.

It's disgusting, to say the least. You have too much talent on that team to not have a single basket. Yeah, it we got to see. Oh, my goodness. Oh, boy.

Oh, boy. Hey, we got a we got a final score here, folks. Jalen Brunson. Knocks down both free throws, including the game winning free throw.

The Boston Celtics end up losing 91 to 90. Tatum gets the ball back to try to score. He has Mitchell Robinson on him. He is flanked by three Knicks.

And they ultimately hound him. McHale Bridges is all over him. He basically intercepts the shot. The New York Knicks steal another one against the Boston Celtics. Two oh in teams that won the first two games of a best of seven.

They win 85 percent of the time. Jason Tatum and Boston Tatum is going to catch hell. Not just tonight, he is going to catch hell unless he has some type of God type bounce back and they win this series. The New York Knicks is shocking everybody. The Knicks have taken a two oh series lead. Against the Celtics, the final score tonight. Ninety one. To 90. Wow.

Wow. And McHale Bridges, the way he ended the last game and overtime just rips the ball out of the hands of Jalen Brown. And tonight just knocks the ball away from Jason Tatum before he could even get a shot off. This is what the New York Knicks wanted last year in the off season.

Not only when they brought in OG and an OB when they traded from McHale Bridges, they wanted to find two wings who could counteract what you get from both Brown and what you get from Tatum. And so tonight, this is Tatum's final line. 13 points. Five of 19 shooting.

One of five from deep. He is going to get destroyed. Botcher, this is uh, am I still crazy to think that the Celtics are going to win this series? I just told you the stat. The team that wins the first two games wins this series 85% of the time. Am I stupid for still picking the Celtics?

I'd say yes, 95% of the time. But when they lost by two points for the first game right and then one point here, you could basically flip a coin and this could easily be Celtics 2-0. They had they blown to 20 point leads like they led in the last game by 20 points and they ended up missing 45 three point shots and then tonight's game they led by 20 points and they blew another 20 point. So the New York Knicks go up to Boston who the hell ever would have thought the state would go to Boston and win two games. Oh man.

Wow. Nick fans are going to be losing their minds. The next game for the New York Knicks and the Celtics game three is on Saturday. This is going to be a must a must watch the game three New York City Saturday afternoon. This is going to be a nationally televised game. None of this ESPN stuff.

You got to get it on cable. This game is going to be on ABC. And if the New York Knicks go up a 3-0.

Against the Boston Celtics. Ryan Botcher, are people getting arrested outside of Madison Square Garden? They might get arrested right now.

I'm afraid to go outside. Wow. Not outside the studio, right? We're not that far. We're pretty far away from there. But still trickle down a celebration.

Oh man. Do you think the Knicks are going to win this series? As a Nets fan, I'd hope to not see it, but there's a solid chance now they do win it. Nets fan.

Okay. Did you grow up in New Jersey? No, I had a ticket plan when I was a kid.

So I watched the last few years of Vince Carter in New Jersey. What is that thing called? The American Airlines? The American Dream Mall? Or the Izod Center?

That's what they call that stupid thing now. The thing has been the Izod Center, American Airlines Center. It's just going through everything. A continental airlines arena. That's what it was. It's going through every name. And it's still standing out there?

It's there, but I think it's only used for like rehearsals for musicians. Yeah, that place was a dump. Oh my God. So God bless you, you still root for the Brooklyn Nets even as they went on to Brooklyn. That's good. Yeah. Well, I was a kid, so I was like, I don't know, eight, nine when they were still in Jersey. And then they moved.

And then it was a mess in Brooklyn and they were tanking and now more tanking. Yeah. We all can't be winners now, can we? Right.

Have they ever been a winner since like, I don't know, ABA? No. Yeah.

The one I think they had with Dr. J. Yes. Yeah.

Not in the NBA. Not not not at all. Wow. This is a crazy situation. Oh my God. This is what I'm New Yorkers are going to be.

Insufferable. This is Wednesday. People got to listen to New Yorkers for on Thursday. Friday, Saturday morning, and there's a legitimate chance that the New York Knicks win on Saturday. If the Knicks win on Saturday. Oh, yeah. Everybody three up three. Oh, the series done. The series is finished. 3 0. Nick fans are going to be losing their mind.

I don't want to get ahead of myself thinking about the Knicks back in the Eastern Conference finals, but. Man, Marco Belletti. This is crazy, isn't it? Yo, did you hear me yelling in Atlanta or no? You just a little bit? A little bit. I don't know. Maybe the ground shook from up north a little bit, man. Wow. Two twenty point overcoming two twenty point deficits.

What is going on? You know, I said this last year and I meant it. I thought the Celtics last year were soft and that if you really push them because they hadn't figured out how to win and the Pacers tried. But then they kind of give it back to him and give the Celtics credit. They won the title. I'm not taking it away. The road is their road. But it seemed like they never got that like adversity and it was good for them and they won the title.

I thought that they were past all that. I thought once you win, like, you know, you figured it out. You had a hard time.

You were a little soft, but you figured out the adversity. I got to tell you, watching them two straight games, this game, especially game one, the Knicks kind of stole this one. This one, the Celtics melted and they handed it to him because the Knicks were awful for three and a half quarters. Yeah, yeah, they suck. They were down twenty points again. And they couldn't knock down a three either to save their lives. They could not get a shot. They couldn't do anything.

But they're meant to resolve. They were in it in the fourth quarter, even though they were down twelve, they were down ten. Like you could see that they were mentally there and they were they were ready to go. And the Celtics were like, how much time is left?

How much time is left? That's a bad sign from a defending champion, man. They looked like that they were beaten in the fourth quarter. That's scary if you're a Celtic fan, because I thought they were past this. Obviously not. You think Steve Kerr is somewhere shaking his head going, I told you so about that guy.

He's like, I told you about that guy over there. I mean, they knocked. They hit one shot of their I think it was one for their last 15. And it was the Tatum dunk down the middle that surprised the Knicks because it was 20 seconds left. He went right down the floor and scored. But there was still 18 seconds left.

I think the Knicks were shocked. Like you had you could have took the final shot, but you were afraid to. So you wanted to take the lead. It was a little odd with 24 seconds.

Usually you take some time. Their plan was different. And that's the only shot that they knocked down out of their last 15.

Yes. Six six and a half minutes. The Boston Celtics went without scoring from the three ball. We know last game they took sixty threes. They missed forty five, which is just still mind boggling the most ever in NBA history. Tonight, the Boston Celtics, they took forty threes. They missed 30 of them.

They were 10 of 40. Look, this is how they won a championship last year. And this year it's not looking good. And Mr. Tatum, I if you want to listen to Boston sports radio tomorrow, knock yourself out because they are going to be ripping Jason Tatum to pieces. They're going to be ripping him to shreds. His final line tonight.

Thirteen points, five of 19 from the field, one of five from deep. Yeah, that's it's not going to cut it. He's starting it. And I know what happened in the Olympics doesn't have anything to do with the regular season, doesn't have anything to do it now. It's and we had this conversation with Dave Ashburner yesterday who covers the Celtics for the Boston Globe. And I've said this and I say this a lot. I've seen Jason Tatum play in front of me plenty of times. Sometimes he can look like the best player, the best offensive player in the NBA. And there are other times it's just like, what are you doing out here? He just he hasn't taken this game to that next level. I wouldn't be surprised if he woke up on Saturday. They're playing in Madison Square Garden.

He's like, here's thirty three for you. Shut up. It's the type of player he is. This series is not over. But as it stands right now, it is unbelievable.

The New York Knicks overcoming another 20 point deficit. This is crazy. Eight, eight, eight, seven, seven, four ISN. Doug is here from Maryland. Go ahead, Doug.

Hey, J.R., how are you doing tonight? Very well. Shoot.

Good. Yeah, look, the three pointer started in the late 80s and teams were less relied on that, even though they did use it. You know, we've gone to the game has has evolved a lot.

And this is just a prime example that, you know, you can live or die by the three. And and the Celtics died by the three tonight. Now, the series is not over. But I honestly believe the Knicks are going to win this series now. And I believe I believe in it. I believe Indiana is going to beat Cleveland and that's going to be a heck of a series.

Indiana and then in the next year, you're going to throw it back to the 90s on that one, huh, Doug? Yes. Yeah.

And that's what I'm hoping for now. Look, and I want to say one other thing. Halliburton is Tyrese Halliburton is by far the most underrated player in the NBA.

I mean, he's he's a gamer. And I you know, it's going to be the Pacers and Knicks, I believe. I think the Celtics are going to play hard on Saturday. They might even win. But I think the Knicks with winning two games in Boston, they're going to they're going to they're going to mix are going to prevail.

OK, well, thank you so much for calling from Maryland. I'm going to tell you what I think. I still got the Celtics winning the series. Sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. You asked me on Saturday when it's a little bit more clear cut. I picked the Celtics to win the series. I'm still going with the Celtics. Now, trust me, I'd love to see the Knicks and the Pacers because Tyrese Halliburton.

Yeah, I don't think he's overrated, but that guy does come across as a pain in the ass. OK, I would love nothing more than to see the New York Knicks give him the business. I'm going to pick the Celtics, though, but if they playing like this, giving up these 20 spots.

Hell, no, not going to happen. It's the JR Sportbreeze show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network to get the final score and news on this. This shocker to get some updates on everything going on in the world of sports. And before we tell you about a few things that took place this day in sports history, it's time for a newsflash. You just heard him. It's Marco Balletti. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze.

It is the JR Sportbreeze show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. Still crazy thinking about how the New York Knicks have taken a 2 0 series lead against the Boston Celtics. The Knicks come back in Game 2 again, bouncing back from 20 points down here. The same thing they did in Game 1. Overcoming a 20 point deficit.

They did it again tonight. The New York Knicks win 90 to 91. Game 3 is Saturday afternoon in New York City. The Knicks will be back home in Madison Square Garden with an opportunity to take a 3 0 series lead.

This is crazy. The Boston Celtics will be eaten alive tomorrow in every media in every medium possible, especially locally. Really tune into local Boston sports radio tomorrow is not going to be good for Jason Tatum, who finished with 13 points at the end of the game. The Boston Celtics won about six and a half minutes without scoring a single point. The New York Knicks ended the game on a 38 to 17 run. The Boston Celtics fell asleep again at the wheel.

Can't wait to hear what Joe Missoula has to say about this one. This is not looking good. Meanwhile. Game two, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Nuggets, the Nuggets already out to a fast start here. Eighteen to nine. About seven minutes to go here in the first quarter. Eighteen to nine. So still plenty of time left in that game.

We'll keep you up to date until we roll out. But it is the end of the show. And typically, well, you know what that means. It's time for us to talk about a few things that happened this day in sports history. Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore, but some days I sit and wish I was a kid again. It's time for this day in sports history. You see, back in those days we had radio and you couldn't see anything.

And it was primitive and lousy and we liked it. On the J.R. Sport Brief Show.

I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. It is the J.R. Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network today, as it's been all day is May 7th, the year it's 2025. But if we go back in time to May 7th, 1989, we told you about Michael Jordan being one of the most clutch performers ever. Damn it, I had him number one on my list of clutch performers. Well, today he hit the shot. Yeah, he hit that that game winning shot over Craig Hilo and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls ended up winning that game one on one to one hundred. Michael Jordan finished with forty four points.

And let's take a listen. Let's go back in time to 1989 as Michael Jordan hit the shot. He looks, he looks, he looks, he gives to Jordan. Jordan to the circle, puts the shot in the air.

Good. The game's over and the Bulls have won. Jordan beat him at the buzzer with a jump shot in the circle. And Chicago has knocked off the Cavs 101 to 100.

Oh, man. Yeah, that Michael, unfortunately for Michael Jordan, he did that and then the Bulls lost to the Pistons. But I think we know how things turned out for Michael Jordan when he finally did get to those championships.

Six out of six. There was no missing. There was no losing there for Michael Jordan. That was courtesy of the NBA.

May 7th. Let's go ahead and take a look at 1994 because the Denver Nuggets. What an iconic image. God rest his soul.

Dikembe Mutombo. The Denver Nuggets beat the Seattle SuperSonics. This was the first time we saw an eighth seed beat a numero uno. They went out and beat them in five games. Let's take a listen to that final call as the Nuggets upset the Sonics. Another three, way short.

That's it. Mutombo embraces the ball and they are likely upset. One of the great upsets in NBA playoff history. The eighth seed, a team that was two games over 500 on the season.

The Denver Nuggets, youngest in the NBA, have beaten the team with the best record in the NBA, the Seattle SuperSonics. Yeah, that was such an iconic photo. It's such an iconic video.

Cameraman got a great shot. Dikembe Mutombo just hugging and holding on to that basketball on the ground like, oh, my God, we just we just went out here and did it. Unfortunately, they lost to the Jazz in seven the next go round. But man, God bless Dikembe Mutombo. He was a legend in the NBA. He was just a humanitarian and he was just a good overall dude. He was one of my favorite people to ever interview and talk with.

Had the pleasure of seeing him around here in Atlanta. Yeah, just make me think about Mutombo. Just that image. The Nuggets beat the Sonics this day in 1994.

Eighth seed knocking off a one. May 7th, 1995. Yeah, Halliburton. People look at him as Mr. Clutch, right?

Of course they do. Well, 1995 May 7th, Reggie Miller. This man dropped eight points and nine seconds to beat the Knicks.

The Pacers won Game one of their Eastern Conference semifinals matchup 107 to 105. Reggie Miller's like, hey, guys, here's a three pointer. And then he says, oh, there's a steal.

And now here's another three. And he's just like, oh, well, here's some free throws. Reggie Miller helped beat the Knicks in Game one. They ultimately won the series. Let's listen to an iconic moment.

Bad for the Knicks fans. Miller for three. And he got it. Reggie Miller with a clutch tray and it's 105 102 and a steal. Miller retreats to the three point line and hits again. Reggie Miller made a three, stole the ball, raced behind the three point line and hit again. The game won at Orlando last year. Miller hits two. Anthony stumbles and falls. Reggie Miller scoring eight points in the final 32 seconds.

Yeah, less than that. We can go through. He did that in nine men. Shout out to Bill Walton to all these legends. Bill Walton was a cool ass guy to talk to as well. Then my feelings a little bit. Anyway, those are a few things that took place this day in sports history.

Good stuff. Anyway, today in sports history, New York Knicks beat the Celtics 91 to 90 bouncing back from another 20 point deficit. At this minute, at this point in time, we got another NBA game and matchup that is currently underway. We have the Thunder leading the Nuggets 20 to nine, about six minutes to go in that matchup. We've had this has been a good playoffs and just the fact that we have so much parity across the league right now. And nobody wants to think about injuries. Of course, you got Steph Curry down in the Mobley and the Cavaliers. It's good when things a little bit unpredictable when you don't have one lead dog or one lead team that you're you're expecting to win. Even the Boston Celtics.

A lot of people expected them to repeat. And the series is not done yet. They're down 0-2 to the New York Knicks. I wouldn't count out the Boston Celtics from this series.

Not at all. Let's see what happens with this other game tonight between the Thunder and the Nuggets. We've had a fun show. We have had a busy show.
