It is the JR Sport Brief show on the Infinity Sports Network.
I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to everybody tuned in all over North America. Uh oh, not good. Right now the Houston Rockets lead the Golden State Warriors 34-19. This is game number 5. Golden State leads the series 3-1 and Jalen Green was just limping around. You know, just an important guy that they need to score.
He's just limping around on the bench. Well, we'll see what happens. We'll keep you up to date on this game. The Los Angeles Lakers are also facing elimination against the Minnesota Timberwolves. You are listening to the JR Sport Brief show on the Infinity Sports Network.
They get started every weekday, 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. We've talked about the Atlanta Falcons being fined by the NFL. A quarter million dollars.
Because Jeff Ulbricht, the defensive coordinator, he left his iPad open. His son took Shadore Sanders' number, prank called him, and so now everybody has to pay. The Falcons were fined $250, Jeff Ulbricht was fined $100,000, and I'm sure his son is going to pay some way or another. Giannis Atetokounmpo, we talked about the beef that he had with John Halliburton. John Halliburton apologized for getting up in Giannis' face. Jamal Murray went off last night, helping the Nuggets take a 3-2 series lead against the Clippers. We're going to get into Bill Belichick.
This man is defending the honor of his girlfriend. Okay, Bill. We talked about Giannis, Giannis Atetokounmpo, where could he go?
Is he going to stay? Thank you to Jared Dubin for joining us from the Double Dribble podcast. And of course, it's Wednesday. In a minute from now, a few minutes, I'm going to share with you a new top six list. We're going to take a look at the most annoying athletes in sports. Share that top six list with you momentarily. At the end of the show, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history.
Oh, this is newsworthy. Looks like the Utah Hockey Club or whatever the hell they're called. Yeah, the NHL team in Utah. You didn't guess? Apparently, they have a new name that that's not public yet, but kind of went public.
We'll get into that. Unfortunately, Jordan Travis had to share news about his retirement. Man, this guy had his leg ripped to shreds at Florida State, was drafted by the New York Jets as a project. And he has a project no more.
He says my leg can do it no more. And he is retiring. Unfortunate news right there. Thank you to everybody tuned in all over North America. Listening on the free Odyssey app, your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate, Sirius XM 375. You got a smart speaker.
Ask it to play the Infinity Sports Network. Thank you for being here. Whether you're at home, you're on the road, you're at work, you're relaxing, you're chilling, you're just minding your business.
Thank you for being here. You can also contact me anytime at JR Sportbrief on social media. And don't pick up your phone if you are driving and you can also call up 888-710-4ISN.
888-710-4ISN. Last night as we sat here on air in the Indiana Pacers eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks. We're here in the studio. We can't hear what's going on in television.
I can only watch. But we saw Giannis Atteracumpo just bothered at the end of the game as he was accosted and harassed by a fan. And this wasn't just a fan. This was the father of Tyrese Halliburton. Who just last week Tyrese Halliburton amongst his peers was voted the most overrated player in the entire NBA. Tyrese Halliburton earlier today, outside of saying that what my dad did was wrong, Tyrese Halliburton said overrate that as his team defeated the Bucks. Kind of obnoxious if you ask me.
Just a little bit. And so Tyrese Halliburton has caught some heat here and there. Tyrese Halliburton goes to the Olympics, doesn't play. Tyrese Halliburton, you know, people make fun of how he dresses. Tyrese Halliburton, people are calling him corny. Tyrese Halliburton named one of the most overrated in the league. Tyrese Halliburton, his dad, is out there, you know, picking fights with people that don't even know who the hell he is.
It's kind of annoying. Tyrese Halliburton is now kind of annoying, despite his talent. And so in honor of Tyrese Halliburton, thank you so much for the inspiration. And we got a lot of individuals who are helped inspire this list as I do every single Wednesday. It's time to share with you a list. This time it's a top six athletes who are annoying.
Let's go. Six, five, four, three, two, one. It's time to get JR's latest top six list only on the JR Sport Brief.
It is the JR Sport Brief show on the Infinity Sports Network. It's time for a new top six list. The most annoying athletes in sports today. Yes, these guys, they open their mouths and you roll your eyes.
These guys play and you go, man, can you play a different way? These guys pop up on your screen. You see them in the news and you just go again, something new.
What else are we doing here? And this is my list. These are athletes who I find to be absolutely annoying. You may not agree. That's part of life, right?
You're entitled to your opinion, and I certainly have mine. Top six annoying athletes. Where we starting off at? Number six.
Oh, there's no suspense here. It's the man who inspired the list. Tyrese Halliburton has made it.
Congratulations. You want to talk about an annoying athlete? For all the reasons I just gave you, Tyrese Halliburton has just grown into being a massive troll and a massive pain in the ass. And the fact that his dad is now standing around and getting in the faces of guys like Giannis Atteracumpo and it's like, man, tell your dad to sit down. And you maybe maybe you're your contemporaries. Maybe a fellow NBA players wouldn't look at you as overrated. If maybe if your dad wasn't screaming like a lunatic from the sidelines, I don't know. Maybe you're maybe the league wouldn't think you're overrated because maybe you played in the Olympics.
Sorry. And Tatum didn't play either. But Halliburton is just annoying. He's a great shooter, great passer, doesn't turn the ball over at multiple time All-Star. But he just gives off nerdy pain in the ass.
And then last night, after everything that happened with his dad, you know what he does? He goes on social media after defeating a hobbled Bucks team and he goes overrate that. Man, just shut up. Let your game completely do the talking. When you suck, when your ass gets eliminated, are you going to go online and go, hey, maybe I am overrated? Of course not. Shut up.
Maybe that's a lesson he didn't learn from his dad. This is Tyrese Halliburton responding to being called the most overrated player in the league. I must be doing something right. You know, that's the case. You know, I don't have a big speech or comment. I mean, all I care about is this locker room and winning games. No, no, you don't. No, you don't.
You do care because your ass went on social media like you were back in high school and you needed to tell everybody that, hey, guys, look at me. What I did last night, it wasn't overrated. Come on, man. Giannis said it last night.
And this is kind of unrelated. Giannis said, listen, I've won a championship before. OK, this guy won a game in the first round after being called a series after being called overrated. Tyrese Halliburton is already online after his dad just acted like a complete ass. Tyrese Halliburton is telling everybody, I'm not overrated, but I don't care that you said that about me.
Oh, shut up and take the sunglasses off while you're at it and goof. Tyrese Halliburton, number six on my list. Top annoying athletes. Who's next on my top six list? What number are we up to?
And number five, this guy's in. I wish he'd just go away. And it's not so much. He complains about everything. He complains about rules. And it's like, man, can you even play at number five on my list? Top six annoying athletes. I have Max Scherzer.
Oh, yeah, you didn't expect that one, did you? The guy is going to be 41 years old in July. He's going into the Hall of Fame. He has three Cy Youngs. He won that championship with the Nationals in 2019.
I think he's like 10th all time on the all time strikeout list. He ain't gonna get to 300 wins because he's never healthy. And then when he is healthy, he's complaining about his body, about the pitch clock.
Listen to this. I wish he would just go home and sit in a rocking chair and nurse his injuries. Because since winning with the Nationals amongst a variety of teams, now he's on the Blue Jays, he got a busted up thumb. OK, since winning that World Series, it's like every part of his body hurts. Hamstring, groin. His arm has gotten tired and dead multiple times. They've had to shut him down for months at a time because his arm is dead. He's had neck spasms, his oblique is strained, his triceps hurts, he has nerve issues and arm fatigue. Right lat soreness, left lat soreness, your arm bones connected to your neck bone.
This guy needs to just stay his ass at home. But because of his resume, teams like the Blue Jays think, well, we can give him a one year deal and maybe we get something at the end. I mean, dead arm, nerve issue. Can he pitch and feel anything? Now his thumb is bothering him. And this is when he's not complaining about the pitch clock like he did two years ago. I guess we took too much time in between innings. I guess you had to have the ball out by 30 seconds. So I got, you know, balled on that. So, all right, well, you know, good. Like, hey, you know, find the worst of these rules now. I ran out the pitch clock. I got caught.
I wasn't trying to do anything on that. I forgot about the time. And seeing how the umpire called it, I mean, it was on 0-0 for one count. I think that's one thing I also want to make sure we get cleaned up on the rules is like, you know, if you look at a basketball clock when it goes 0-0, like there's still another second on 0-0. So I want to make sure it's not 0-0 like the moment it hits 0-0 or is there a little time on 0-0?
Probably need to get a little clarification on that as we move forward. Bruh. He needs tenths of a second on a pitch clock. Shut up. It's tenths of a second, by the way, of Max Scherzer.
And by the way, maybe you're pitching a ball slow because you hurt. Go home. Stay home. Max Scherzer.
Go ahead. Retire. Find something else to do that doesn't involve throwing a baseball. You're going into the Hall of Fame. Shut up already. Go home. My top six list of annoying athletes.
Yeah, I got Max Scherzer at five. What's next? Number four. Oh, how about this?
This guy is picky. Is he playing? He's playing basketball right now. As we speak.
Oh, yeah. At number he is. I just saw him on my list. The top six annoying athletes at number four. I got Dylan Brooks.
Now, this is crazy. Dylan Brooks appeared to be an angel. Coming out of college, played hard, didn't look like the most athletic guy. Like, oh, energy guy.
Everybody needs a sweet energy guy. But then by the time Dylan Brooks got out of Oregon and got into the NBA with the Grizzlies. Oh, my God.
It's like the the switch flipped. Like this isn't a nice Canadian gentleman who went to Oregon. This guy's trying to make a name for himself in the NBA as a as a tough guy. Now, I've seen him flip over Trae Young with my own eyes right in front of me. We can definitely remember a couple of seasons ago with the Memphis Grizzlies, it was he pretty much expedited his time out of the building when he hit LeBron James in the groin. And then he called LeBron old and then he dared old man LeBron to score 40 points again. Like he was taunting LeBron James, like for what? And then he played like garbage. And Memphis said, you know what? We're not blaming you, but get the hell up on out of here.
It's terrible. He was ejected for hitting Daniel Tyson. The groin. He was beefing with Kevin Durant not too long ago. He got kicked out of a game. He he's just sitting there. Hickey, why is he hitting people in the nuts? I guess he wants to be maybe like someone else on this list.
Maybe possibly. That's not even he hit. Hickey, remember he he hit Gary Payton. Remember that he got hurt him? I think he got injured.
Remember that? No, Dylan Brooks. There's a playoff series. He hit Gary Payton Jr. Took him out. Dylan Brooks is just he's dirty. And then even this week, he's standing at the free throw line. He's standing next to Jimmy Butler and Jimmy Butler, somebody who's pretty annoying himself. Jimmy Butler is calling him every name in the book. And then Dylan Brooks is kind of laughing at him like a like a supervillain and Jimmy Butler was asked about it after the game. He's like, hey, we saw you laughing with with Dylan Brooks. You guys were yucking it up.
And Jimmy Butler's like, no, I don't like that guy. Jimmy, you and and Dylan got into it. It looked like you guys were having fun.
I took it back to the playground almost. It looked like what was it like out there? And it looked like you guys were like going back and forth. Did you enjoy that element of the game? No, we're not having fun.
Give me a reg for this. I don't like Dylan Brooks, so we're never having fun. I'm a fierce competitor. He's a fierce competitor, but there ain't nothing fun about that.
Ain't nothing fun about that. Yeah. Jimmy Butler called him a bum and then he called him a couple of other B words that I cannot repeat here. OK, Dylan Brooks number four on my list. Top six annoying athletes. He's number four. Who could be next? Number three.
Oh, how about this? He's also playing basketball right now against Dylan Brooks. It is Draymond Green.
Come on. This guy's he's doing podcasts and he's getting his ass whooped in the NBA finals. This is Draymond Green. This is the same Draymond Green who he might have won defensive player of the year.
He might have four championships. He's also the guy who before he was friends with LeBron James was suspended in a pivotal NBA game because he decided to hit LeBron James in the groin. This is the same Draymond Green who decided to punch Jordan Poole. This is the same Draymond Green who just won a month ago, two months ago, you know, pretty much criticized Karl-Anthony Towns for ducking the Golden State Warriors when he was attending a funeral for someone who died of cancer. And then refused to apologize.
Like this. These are the things that make Draymond Green annoying outside of the 23 career ejections, which is only second to Rasheed Wallace for 29th all time. And Draymond continues on. He's going to pass Rasheed, which is crazy.
Oh, yeah. Draymond suspended six different times. Remember he hit Nurkic, gave him that backhand. Remember, he put Rudy Gobert in that headlock from behind. Remember when Draymond Green stepped on the chest of Sabonis? Remember, he even got suspended for talking crap to his own teammate, Kevin Durant, at the time.
Some wild stuff. Let's go back in time. A matter of fact, let's go to 2018 because Charles Barkley asked Kevin Durant if Draymond Green is a pain in the ass.
Listen to this. Is Draymond Green as annoying and personal as he is on television? You should go talk to him downstairs. Is he annoying? I mean, you're around him every day. He's annoying on television.
What annoys you about Draymond? He's going to apologize to him. I mean, downstairs, you can go ask him. Can I ask him? Let the man answer the question.
He's not annoying to him. You might run down, but you're going to walk back, Cletus. Go on down there. Well, now they work together, huh? Well, I guess maybe not for long.
Picky, that might actually be a good thing. Now that the NBA on TNT is moving over to ESPN, what does that mean for Draymond Green and his contract status, right? I don't assume that contract is going to travel.
I hope you're right. Yeah, I could use less Draymond. So him not being on TV once the Warriors are eliminated from the playoffs, I think would be a benefit to everybody.
Now, I can imagine some out of Amazon. Maybe giving him a job like they gave Dirk and Steve Nash jobs. Damn, NBC, NBC.
They cannot pick up Draymond, right? He's not. And I don't think he's in that space of NBC. That's not happening. He is Amazon material. Amazon, not NBC, but Amazon, Amazon. Maybe ESPN would put Draymond on TV as well.
I could see that like tomorrow. I don't think we're out the woods with him, but Draymond Green, annoying as hell. I got him at number three on the list. Top six annoying athletes. Draymond number three, who is number number two? Oh, this is simple. Do I got to give an explanation on this one?
Don't need a lot. It's Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, I got Aaron Rodgers number two on the list.
What a shock, right? If anything's a shock or surprise is that Aaron Rodgers is not numero uno. Aaron Rodgers full of himself. Aaron Rodgers just last week. Oh, I don't like how the Jets cut me.
They're going to cut me this way. Aaron Rodgers, this Aaron Rodgers, that Aaron Rodgers lies to the media. Aaron Rodgers.
Everything is about him. Good luck to the Pittsburgh Steelers whenever he makes that decision. Hopefully it's not a painful situation.
Let's put it that way. This was very painful. The experience that he just had with the Jets. Misery loves company.
They deserved each other. And it was absolutely hilarious when one of the most egotistical athletes that exists today, Aaron Rodgers, stood in front of the media as the New York Jets won their downward spiral. And he pretty much said the guy who talks to the media once a week and has his own show and his own interview series and all of this.
He says that we need to limit the distractions, not understanding he's the biggest distraction of them all. Anything that doesn't have anything to do with winning needs to be assessed. So anything in the in this building that we're doing individually or collectively that has nothing to do with real winning needs to be assessed.
And the bullshit that has nothing to do with winning needs to get out of the building. And that's why the New York Jets gave you the boot. The JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm giving you a top six list of annoying athletes.
If I have Aaron Rodgers at number two, who could be at number one? I'm going to tell you on the other side of the break. It's a top six list of annoying athletes. Number one on the other side, the JR Sport Brief Show, the Infinity Sports Network. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief.
It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the end. Man, I'm almost passing out over here. Who tried to poison me? Definitely was not me.
You didn't set me up from afar, did you? Was it someone from the yoga class? No, they're downstairs. I'm upstairs. They're gone, by the way. Yoga class started an hour later. Gone.
I'm like, where did all the ladies go? Will be the perfect crime. You know, maybe like, you know, takes a little bit to kind of kick in when it actually does kick in. You think, OK, who did this has to be, you know, someone around me because it just happened. But actually, the person who really did it is now, you know, already at home an hour away. I'm sitting in the studio by myself. I'm just trying to, you know, I'm just trying to eliminate suspects is all. It's not me. Clearly, you know, here in New York. OK, now no one at yoga.
OK, so now over to like. I don't know. Maybe it's maybe it's one of the program directors here in Atlanta. I don't know. Maybe. Possibly.
Maybe it's Reggie or Mike or something like that. I don't know these guys. Anyway, Hickey, they're not on my annoying list. I like them. That's good.
That's that's good manager right there. Yes. They're not on my annoying list. I like them.
They're good. Anyway, I'm giving you a top six list of some of the most annoying athletes in the world of sports. I'm seconds away from sharing with you who I have at number one.
If you weren't here in the last break. Is my own personal list. Let me let me give you a quick recap before we get to a numero uno. You want to talk about annoying athletes? Number six, I gave you Tyrese Halliburton. We saw his dad confront Giannis Atteracumpo for no reason yesterday. And now I think I know why people look at Tyrese Halliburton as a pain in the ass.
This guy was called overrated last week by his peers. He stood in front of the media and said, I don't care what they think. I only care about people in my locker room. But then last night, after beating the Milwaukee Bucks, after saying that his dad was wrong for taunting Giannis, the next thing you know, Tyrese Halliburton is on social media. Mr.
I don't care about what my contemporaries say. He's the first guy to be on social media going, hey, I'm overrated. Overrate that.
OK, shut up. He's number six on my list. And number five, I gave you Max Scherzer. Max Scherzer is either complaining or he's hurt. He is your he's the prime example of being a grumpy old man in baseball. He's 41 years old.
He'll be 41 in July. This guy every year has to miss like two months because he has a dead arm and he comes back and complains. Just just go away. Max Scherzer annoying. And before on the list, Dylan Brooks, when he's not being a dirty player, when he's not being suspended, he's talking trash. He's a pain in the ass. And he's Canadian. He's a nice guy. What's what's with the tough guy act? Dylan Brooks annoying as hell.
And number three, this guy is really annoying. It's not an act. It's Draymond Green. He's punching his teammates. He's hit LeBron in the groin. He's just doing podcasts. He's telling everybody how bad the people who pay him, how bad the NBA is. It's just Draymond Green. Just a complete pain in the ass.
Annoying. And number two, I gave you Aaron Rodgers. And if I got Aaron Rodgers at number two. Who the hell could possibly be more annoying than the self-centered Aaron Rodgers? Well, Aaron Rodgers is two. This guy is number one.
Here it is. Number one. His name. Tyreek Hill.
Oh, yeah. Oh, he's you know, here's the thing. Aaron Rodgers is a pain in the ass. And Aaron Rodgers, you know, he doesn't do anything but focus in on himself. Instead, he's just self-obsessed with himself. Tyreek Hill is worse, man. It's just oblivious.
It's immaturity. Whether it be in his personal life, whether it be in his professional life, from the minute that he's been a public figure, as his profile has grown, we're talking about a what, seven, eight time Pro Bowl or multiple time All-Pro. This is a Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs. This is someone who's building himself a Hall of Fame career. But Tyreek Hill, he has a down in the dumps personality. Just mentality.
Forget personality. Let me tell you something. Aaron Rodgers might be a jerk. Tyreek Hill is somebody.
Who pled guilty to domestic assault. When he was in college. OK, Oklahoma State said, no, thank you. This guy had to go to community college and then he had to play at West Alabama. Obviously, we see the talent. He belongs at a bigger school. We know why he didn't go to a bigger school.
I just told you. Strangulation investigation into alleged child abuse in 2019, him and his his wife had just recently just won last week, couple weeks ago, got into a domestic dispute. Now she wants to be divorced. And the guy has a million kids with a bunch of women. And it just is bad at the end of the season from a football perspective.
The Miami Dolphins season is over. The first thing he does is talk about how he wants to leave. And he's he's not used to losing and he needs to win. But he's such a nut. I mean, we get it all. He was on a podcast that needed to be said. And, yeah, I want to leave.
But then before that, too, is so great. Listen to this. As far as accuracy wise, I'm going with two all day. So which one would you rather have the deep ball where you got to scramble around the field to try to go find it? You want the accuracy to hit you right in the basket.
I wanted to hit me right in the basket, just like I did in the Buffalo Bills game and take it 70 in the rest is history. And again, this is not a shot at anybody. Right. This is just stuff that had to be said, needed to be said. Whether it's the allegations of abuse. Whether it's professionally. Where the man is saying, I want to leave the team, I need to go elsewhere. But then I was just frustrated. I don't I don't mean it. Whether it's, you know, just the funny comments going back and forth about his commitment to the Dolphins, whether it's, you know, and the police were overly aggressive with him.
But, you know, why are you speeding on the way to the stadium? It's just there's just a multitude of things that just make me go, you know what? What did he kill? I don't want to say that he celebrated, but there's so many negative actions that that just that are not highlighted. When I hear the guy's name, whether he wants to race a horse or he wants to race an Olympian or whether he's, you know, arguing with his son's mother and grabbing up his kids, it's just. Like, find something better to do. Like, can you not be a better contributor to your football team? Can you not be a better contributor to society? And, you know, in most cases, most cases, I don't give a damn what anybody does in their personal life.
But I have zero tolerance, zero empathy for people who put their hands on women or children or endanger the public. That's why I got zero, zero tolerance and zero patience for Tyreek Hill. I got this guy at number one on my list. You want to talk about an annoying athlete?
He is numero uno. This guy has Hall of Fame talent. He's also a Hall of Fame pain in the ass. Hall of Fame jackass.
How about that? Top six annoying athletes. You missed my list. And number six, I gave you Tyrese Halliburton. And number five, I gave you old and grumpy Max Scherzer. And number four, I gave you dirty Dylan Brooks. And number three, I gave you very dirty Draymond Green. And number two, I gave you self-centered Aaron Rodgers. And number one, I gave you Hall of Fame jackass Tyreek Hill.
I got him at number one on my list. Of course, there are more than six annoying athletes. These are individuals who are annoying to me.
This may not have a damn thing to do with you and your opinion. Maybe you think LeBron is annoying. Maybe you believe Russell Wilson is annoying. He certainly is. And maybe there's somebody else out there. There's an athlete who you cannot stand.
You know what? The phone lines open. This is my top six list. Tyreek Hill is numero uno for me when it comes to annoying. The phone lines are open. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. Is there an athlete that's annoying to you?
Who is it? Tell me about it. The phone lines are open.
I'll talk to you. I also want to tell you about something that's annoying Bill Belichick on the other side of the break. And right now in the basketball world, I know Dylan Brooks and Draymond Green are up against each other.
Golden State Warriors fans might be annoyed with the score. I'll take your calls on the other side of the break. You are listening to the J.R. Sport Brief.
It is the J.R. Sport Brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I just gave you a top six list. Some of the most annoying athletes in sports today.
I'll give you a recap in a second. The phone lines are open. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. Talking about the most annoying athletes in sports right now, I need you to thank O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs.
Get guaranteed low prices and excellent customer service from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Hey, how about this? My top six list annoying athletes. Number six, Tyrese Halliburton. Number five, Max Scherzer. Number four, Dylan Brooks. Number three, Draymond Green. Number two, Aaron Rodgers.
Number one, Tyreek Hill. If you're a Golden State Warriors fan, you are also annoyed right now this minute, not specifically at Draymond Green. In Houston, Texas, right now, the Rockets lead the Warriors 76 to 49. The Houston Rockets have their backs up against the wall. They are in a 3-1 deficit. And the Golden State Warriors might be missing out on a chance to close out this series. They either, A, are going to conserve energy and concede this game sooner than later, or B, we might have one of the biggest comebacks to close out a game in NBA history. We'll keep you up to date on this game as it continues on. Obviously, it's going to be a hard road back for Golden State. 76 to 49, the Houston Rockets lead.
They are in a 3-1 deficit trying to make this series 3-2-2. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. We're talking about some of the most annoying athletes in the world of sports. Let's get to your phone calls.
I'm going to get Hickey's thoughts on who might be annoying to him. Let's go to Arkansas and talk to Curtis. Curtis, you're on the JR Sport Brief Show on the Infinity Sports Network. What's up?
Thanks for taking my call, my man. It's not necessarily a player. It's a coach. I'm a Giants fan. And Brian Dayball, he's acting like he's the smartest guy, and more is listening to him for three years now. We paid Daniels, the quarterback, got rid of Saquon. We didn't do much in the draft. A lot of people think we had a good draft. Defensively, we did, but that wasn't really the case with us.
We needed offense. Brian Dayball doesn't necessarily have the final say on who they select. You said Brian Dayball comes across as the smartest guy. What specifically has he done that you cannot stand him, from a coaching perspective? The GM's got to be listening to him. Under his regime, it's got to be... Of course, Brian Dayball has influence on the roster.
He doesn't have final say. My question to you is, from a coaching perspective, what has Brian Dayball done that he is annoying to you? We got rid of Saquon for one.
We didn't... What else you got? The Sidor thing going on. What Sidor thing did Brian Dayball do?
There's no other reason why he should have... With all the antics and flair, you tell me New York's not big enough to handle Sidor. That's a big fish in a big pond. Brian Dayball is annoying to you.
And I'm trying to figure out why. And point number one that you share with me, Brian Dayball, the coach of the Giants, is the fact that Saquon Barkley left, which isn't necessarily Brian Dayball's choice. He doesn't necessarily have the biggest say-so in the matter. And then the second point is that the New York Giants didn't draft Sidor Sanders, which, as far as I'm concerned, from all the reports and even some of Brian Dayball's language, he had an interview with Sidor Sanders. And apparently Sidor Sanders was not prepared for the meeting.
So how does that fall on Brian Dayball? If I have a job... Curtis, we're not... Curtis, we ain't talking about nobody else. You've been on a job interview before, right? You ever did one of those? Come on, who hasn't? Come on now. Don't be that.
Okay, if you went to a job and you were unprepared, would you expect to get the job? I don't believe where you're headed. You ain't no gray. It's just black and white for you. You're just going to believe with everything that they say, right? No, I don't believe. No, it's not about believing what people say.
It's about looking at... So they report it and you just go with it, right? And then you think Dayball don't have no influence at all or whatever. Or more or less ain't listening to him at all. Curtis, I didn't say that. You don't listen. I didn't say that. I said... You just said in your opinion. Go ahead. Oh my God, Curtis, stop. Listen to me very carefully.
And I want you to listen on the Odyssey app and go ahead and hit rewind. I said that Brian Dayball does not have final say-so when it comes to matters of the roster. Of course, he has influence. But Joe Shane is the GM. And I asked you very specifically, what annoys you about Brian Dayball and what you're bringing up? The instances have to do with issues of roster management and less about him actually as a coach. What has he done as a coach? He doesn't negotiate the contract with Saquon Barkley.
That's Joe Shane. He did have an interview with Chidor Sanders. It's not his final say.
Of course, he has influence on who he selects. But if he is sitting down in an interview and it's not about it's black and white and believing what everybody says, it's about taking a look at what makes the most sense. I can look at Chidor's own words. I can look at the words of his father. We can go back in time in the last year where his own father talked about steering him to the teams that he wanted to and didn't want to.
We can look at him not participating at the combine. We can go ahead and look at what took place publicly and match it up with reports. They're individuals who are actually reputable, someone like Jonathan Jones. I would trust this guy very much from what he says because his reports have been accurate. And so I can actually take a look at what I see publicly. I can cite instances and I can cite reporters who I trust and who I've spoken to, who I have here on the show.
Hey, by the way, Curtis, I didn't just sit here by accident. I myself can also and I'm not one of these stupid news breakers is not what I want to do. I can call up people in the Giants organization if I want to.
OK, we've had Jesse Armstead here on the show actually talked about Jesse yesterday and Abdul Carter potentially wearing his number. I'm not going by reports. I'm going by the sum of the information. I'm going by what I know, who's delivering the information, and I'm trying to make an educated opinion about it. And so if you're going to tell me that Brian Deball is someone who's annoying to you and he is a head coach and you're citing Saquon Barkley moving to the Eagles.
OK. And the Giants not drafting Chador. Hey, I've sat in job interviews as well. I've also hired people. I can tell you from someone from a hiring perspective, I don't want to hire anyone who's going to come and sit in front of me and is not prepared. That's a little bit of common sense. And Curtis, please hit rewind on the Free Odyssey app.
I didn't do anything but repeat what I said the first time. Call back, give me a give me a football coaching reason on the football field, communicating with his players, play calling, communicating with the media. Give me a reason why you don't like Brian Deball, not roster management. That's not his job description. And of course, he has influence, not the final say. It's the J.R. Sportbri show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network, 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. We're talking about annoying athletes in the world of sports who gets on your nerves.
