So you showed tonight was born. Now majority of my of my colleagues in the caucus Democrat officer change things in life. I respect that the right to change. I have hope and respect up to never change, we want to hear from you Sharon, call 1-800-684-3110 publicans block cloture on the legislation before us. I will put forward a proposal to change the rules to allow for a talking filibuster on this legislation is recommended by a number of our colleagues working on this reform, long time now. Your second issue that said say about changing others. That was last night we got to US senators, both Democrats who have committed up to this point to sticking with the 60 vote threshold. The traditional filibusters we know it in the US that it currently requires getting to 60 votes to end debate on a piece of legislation and actually go to the majority vote on that legislation by the way, do you know one of the sitters has expressed to my knowledge, real opposition to the actual vote that's legislation here, you still believe in the nuclear option for allegedly basically a legislative nuclear option to in the filibuster for quote important legislation right if they had been in Washington DC because that this is the day to schedule 6:30 PM Eastern time. I we know this is good happen pretty quickly, and we will know by then.

Tonight if Superman should consider cinnamon stick to what they have been preaching the last couple weeks yet if they don't stick to journal be nothing but 180 about-face will mean they been lying to the American people. I don't think that's the truth. By the way Jordan, I think this effort by leaders humor is destined to fail.

I think he's going to push it over the cliff.

Anyway, I think he's doing it to pander frankly to honestly to the left side of his base in his caucus. But here's essentially what can happen of the vote on cloture to wrap up debate on this bill.

They just started debating yesterday.

Jordan is gonna take place at 630 Republicans if they wanted to could push that's tomorrow but Jordan, this is kind of evidence that they're not obstructing anything here, they're saying look at. If 60 senators agree to wrap up debate we can wrap up debate that vote will take place at 630. They need 60 votes to clear that hurdle it will certainly fail Jordan, I would expect mansion and cinema and all of the Democrats to vote in favor of it.

She might get to about 50 votes, but won't get to the 16th. That is when Jordan we expect leaders humor to try to new the filibuster. We can talk about all of the specifics of this but it really boils down to this. He wants to use a simple majority of the Senate to do away with the legislative filibuster and to force this legislation through, it is not expected that he is going to succeed. He's gonna fail. Jordan is gonna push the Senate to the brink. Anyway, I question for our audience and if you were to talk to. So there.

The one 800 684 31 to Julie Mrs. pressure from the left sitters, Schubert's Democrats feel like they have to hold a vote that is almost certain to fail. I don't like to claim victory on this until it's done.

But they been told for weeks at a least two Democrat sinners. I don't want to vote the way you asked me to vote. So is it liberal pressure is primary pressure potentially from AOC. She still got time to file to trip to our primary Chuck Schumer for the U.S. Senate or is it just out of touch liberal leaders on Capitol Hill, I will hear from you what hundred 684 31, two, because as you heard from Sen. Schumer.

He'll try to say if Republicans block to let legislation. It's not. Republicans are really standing in the way this yesterday prevents them from getting to the 60 vote threshold. But if the party was so bought into this, they had other job that they wouldn't that would've got the two votes to switch the rules. I don't think it's a good idea but we seen sitters move different positions on that especially comes to judicial nominees, not the Cubs to legislation itself really get into this. I want to hear from you what hundred 684 31 to think loss after loss after loss for the Biden team if you present by your getting pressure to hold this vote is the MLK deadline missed all these key moments why still take another loss. What is the point of just losing and losing with your own party, give us a call one 800 684 31 to talk to Sen. what hundred 63.10 challenges facing Americans are substantial time with our Valley freedom sword constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever to stay with the American Center for Law and Justice for decades now on the frontlines protecting your freedoms defending your rights and courts in Congress and in the public arena and have an exceptional track record of success. But here's the bottom line we could not do our work without your support, we remain committed to protecting your religious and constitutional freedoms and then remains our top priority, especially now during these challenging times. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side. You are already a member.

Thank you. Not well this is the perfect time to stand with us. ACLJ.org where you can learn more about our life changing become a member today ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life. We created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn, called mission will show you how you personally. Publication includes a look at all major ACLJ were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the ministry and what Obama care means to discover the many ways your membership is empowering the right question for mission in life today online/grassroots job today is pretty simple. It's two phone calls should be very quick to call the Capitol switchboard.

If you watch the broadcast right now share with them.

If you are support to do until 6:30 PM Eastern time today. You give a call to the Capitol switchboard 20222431212 make two separate calls while you're asked to speak to Sen. Manson's office. The second to Sen. cinema's office. Both those times I want you just to be encouraging it support their position on the filibuster and retaining the legislative filibuster to that cave to pressure to stand up for what they believe it and to thank them for continuing to do that in the vote later on today. Simple message positive message because they have what we know is it what you have to sitters like this in the vote is now scheduled. They are the two who, under the most tremendous and even Nick's statement, the Alabama coach. He's got a West Virginia connection. He's been a supporter of Joe Bacher before Dick Seybert is out there say in the filibuster.

In a letter to Job HIV they are pulling out every possible stop to try get a vote switch on for mansion and cinema. So they got there up there going to be under tremendous pressure. Today there them and their staff.

You can imagine the neck saving letter Jordan.

I called him the greatest of all time. I still think that's true abilities.

Waiting in the politics in a big way. Today in Outlook. I think it's just an example of how much iron these two senators and I would even say maybe Mark Kelly and John tester maybe a couple of others who don't have a public position on this. There can be under intense pressure today Jordan and look, that's not entirely a bad thing and you and I advocated on the show time and time again that elected officials need to hear from the voters they need to hear from the constituency. But here's what we know today. Literally the entire grassroots effort from the progressive left and I would say even the radical left, and in it and then they are going to be focused on the Senators today. So Jordan, those of us who think that they're doing the right thing. We need to weigh in as well. And like you said, it can be polite, it can be supportive.

Actually, it should be there standing up against a lot of withering pressure but it needs to not be one-sided in Washington DC. Why not right now it is going to be deafening from the left and from the side that want to do away with Senate rules and Senate President to jam this through with only one party's votes and to really take control of elections Jordan so given the fact that we know it can be deafening from outside. Those of us who think they're doing the right think they should hear from us as well.

Today I get a number to call sitters sitters office Capitol Hill. It's Manson's office is the same number is called a couple times 202224312.

What's Capitol switchboard.

The connection right away. Was this a positive phone call you're thanking them for their stance on the filibuster and your encouraging them to vote that way later on today thanking them for that vote later on today to retain the legislative filibuster thing I want to give some specifics here about what people this is something every a people that are really follow politics closely like our audience does. We know this is the eighth and really get into some the details more what they're voting on is a federal takeover of the election process which started with making their card with the AG. The elections are tabbing to preclear every kind of election rule change through the federal government regardless of what state you're in. Regardless of the history that state. So the broadest federal takeover of the election process in history, but at the same time and I think just for people to understand what is going on today. While that vote may occur in they might see a cinema adventured vote yes on that.

What's key is they will not get to the 60 vote threshold which did triggers the debate about the filibuster, yet really well put Jordan in just remind folks upon the way we got into this posture is is Speaker Pelosi took a bill that was about NASA that was HR 5746, he took out loud.

All of the NASA language and she dumped in language from two separate bills. HR four which is most people are calling John Lewis voting rights act bill and then also asked 2747 of the freedom to vote. Act Jordan, that was a bill that was actually originally sponsored by Amy club, Charlotte went mansion and Schumer were negotiating he signed on as a cosponsor in the really giving him credit for that bill. At this point, but let's just let you call that bill what it is. It's essentially before the people act, HR one or S-1. And you're right, Jordan. You think of any mechanism of a federal election that those right now belong to the states. No setting hours for voting locations for voting registration for voting how to secure a ballot box is whether or not you can about harvesting all of that stuff. Jordan even redistricting. All of that stuff that currently belongs to the states would move to Washington DC and and the federal government would take that over so on the substance of it. Your 99. I really don't think this is hyperbole. This is this is a horribly dangerous bill. If you believe in federalism. If you believe in state control of elections and look I got a a very strong disagreement with Sen. cinema and Sen. mansion on the substance of that bill there both cosponsors and every Democrat in the United States Senate is a cosponsor of George. I disagree with them on substance. The United States Senate is supposed to be the greatest deliberative body in the world you're supposed to be able to either come to consent or to have endless debate until the debate is out. That is what's under threat today seared in a seat mansion and cinema of vote for cloture on the bill and then when it fails you can see leader Schumer try to get rid of that deliberative debate and get rid of the legislative filibuster and that's where Sen. cinema Sen. mansion and maybe Jordan a couple of others are expected to stand up for the institution of the Senate, how quickly with a solid curse answer from 6:30 PM Eastern time.

If Republicans like you said don't hold us over another day. Is this occur like within an hour or so probably so Jordan what what you would have if you had a roll call vote on that cloture vote and so you know roll call vote depending on how long it takes them to get there. And right now during COBIT.

Sometimes that's taking a little bit longer let's say that takes an hour. That would mean at about 730.

Leader Schumer would have the floor again and he would be able to make this appealing to the chair. Now there would be a few minutes of talk Jordan, but technically, that motion is not debatable. So you would see them move. If leader Schumer insist on it and there's a repealing of the ruling of the chair you would see them move to that vote really quickly.

I think you can get there as soon as 730 and unless there's some sort of delay which which by the way, Jordan leader Schumer could initiate, but if he does, and I think no later than about 8:30 PM you'd moved to a vote on this and I'll just say we that's what we expect to happen. He does have a couple of parliamentary procedure options to change the posture of the Senate, but some version of that vote. Jordan is expected to come up sometime tonight you got a couple questions came in I saw into the name, but said if from outside West Virginia in Arizona custom make this call. I think so today.

This is a Daschle issue.

This is not just a state issue specific to West Virginia specific to Arizona.

This is a national issue to abolish the legislative filibuster and to allow this voting law, which is so divisive and Sen. mansion while he supports it is acknowledged that too is they haven't got buy-in from any Republican since no bipartisan support for it. So I get to take this vote to type entirely partisan way. I think make that encouraging phone call and the Diane asked what is the number Diane asked. The Capitol switchboard number that can connect you to Sen. cinema and interventions office at 202-224-3121.

I want you to be tied what you be polite you are thanking them for their position and encouraging them to vote the way they pledge the vote. A pledge to vote later on today to retain the legislative filibuster simple message 202224312 what I would like to fail because were every the team to get into some of this revived up about why we're so opposed to this legislation, but that why sinners Schumer I got you know we brought the AOC challenge to Chile that the pressure from the left, but it seems like for abide in the whole team go you to the terms having another loss on the sheet is not helpful to that to that, to the everyday voter. When you take out your hard left base you really think that your 90 week we've said so many times on this project.

You don't take a vote on the floor of the house or the Senate until you know you can when you continue negotiating behind the scenes until you have the votes to actually get that across the floor.

Whatever chamber you're in.

It sure looks like leader Schumer is doing the exact opposite. So I think your question is a good one adjourn. I'm really left with just really two things one II do think he is fearful of a primary, specifically from Alexandria Cossey or Cortez you talk about the dates for filing their coming up this spring that primaries in June I think is legitimately politically fearful about that and I think he's trying to collect, protect his left political flank. I don't think that's rhetoric torn. I think that's actually reality on the ground.

The second thing though is I think there such a desperation for a wind from the vine administration that even a loss trying to do what they perceive their base wanting is is is seen as a lesser of evils between just walking away and admitting defeat unite.

I don't know if I agree with that rationale Jordan, but I think that's what they've come to. They've lost on so many things in a row.

They don't want to walk away without trying.

So they're gonna take this vote.

The look in his office about the numbers in Washington DC and if you can it alienate to more of your United States senators and a 50-50, a caucus heading into a midterm election. To me that's pretty shortsighted. Jordan this week about the right to there's going to be some discussion as part of this potentially where it says like Schumer strike. That's what I get all the table for people's there to watch this later on this evening, and where he looks like, oh yes try to preserve head of hearts, the filibuster talking filibuster. Historically that was the filibuster that but you will get into that to read abroad now to get to some of the issues here, but my basic question for everybody listening right now is to think this is any chance of passing. The Democrats have any chance tonight of actually busting through and that in the filibuster when it comes to legislation they deem. I guess important is how they would do it.

Give us a call one 800 684 31 Tillis. I never claimed victory until this is over.

I would ask you to call center mansion and sit or sit consider Silva's office. I thought this was done, but you we know the pressure campaign is super intense of those two centers right now to change that. Try to change it in a narrow, well, you're only doing this issue or that issue to cause a week back only one.

A society can agree with the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn Gold edition like it will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the worship ministry and what Obama care means to the pro-life in many ways your membership is empowering the right to life question free copy of mission life today online ACLJ/challenges facing Americans for substantial time and are now free to sort constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever to the American Center for Law and Justice ACLJ on the front lines projecting your freedoms defending your rights and courts in Congress and in the public arena and we have an exceptional track record of success.

Here's the bottom line we could not do our work without your support, we remain committed to protecting your religious and constitutional freedoms than remains our top priority, especially now during these challenging times. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side. You are already a member thanking God's well this is the perfect time to stand with us. ACLJ.org where you can learn more about her life changing, member today ACLJ part of what we might see tonight. So the electorate are broadcasted for the broadcast like you to be as educated as possible for the sort such as five minutes of your table do so you we walk through for you mechanisms of how to get to this vote, they'll fail. They will not get enough votes to get cloture on the issue it so that he will go to the parliamentarian for this rule change where the votes will be on the line to you where you gotta have 51, and right now he's at 49. It looks like that could be worse for the Democrats there a couple senators who just haven't spoken out of the shed Sigurd Kelly from Arizona Sen. tester from Montana that spoke about much about this so I think that once you note a couple centers vote this way might open the door for two or two more, but we know the key senators mansion and said about that's where the pressure is, but they had one thing to try get their votes and try to also make it sound like he's reasonable is that were really here tonight potentially about what we can to preserve a talking filibuster tell people about that yet. I think when he offers this motion.

Jordan he's gonna say were still to allow a talking filibuster, which will allow senators to debate this as long as they want. According to Senate rule 19 which says that a senators can speak up to two times on the same legislative day to the same question, and he's also been us a door and it's only can apply to voting rights legislation and gets a little technical but I want people to really understand this in a true talking filibuster Jordan any senator can offer a new amendment or a new motion or a new question and that resets the clock for senators to be able to come down and debate twice his talking Silva filibuster Sen. Schumer's would eliminate that ability to offer new questions to the Senate so it would still Jordan guarantee that there will be an into the debate and that into the debate can be accomplished with only 50 votes plus the tie-breaking vote of the vice President so it's it's really a ruse. Jordan it's not there in the restoration of the talking filibuster. It is just a distraction from the fact that he's lowering that threshold of the other thing I want to just quickly mention he says that it's only gonna be limited to voting rights legislation Jordan look there.

There's been a lot of hypocrisy I would say on both sides of the aisle on the filibuster. Sometimes a senators position depends on whether there in the majority or the minority well on whether or not they like the filibuster. I personally do like it but here's what I would tell everybody out there, regardless of how they feel about the filibuster.

There can only be one set of rules no matter who is in charge, the leader, Schumer can say look, I'm only going to invoke it on this one. Measure Jordan. It would be a dereliction of duty. If an opposing party no matter who makes this change comes into office and subject themselves to a set of rules that the other party does not abide by.

We can't have that in the United States Senate. So if this seal is broken, no matter what leader Schumer says the legislative filibuster Jordan, it will be gone forever to write to the phones are this to Bobby in New York online. What if you would talk to us on or 1-800-684-3110.

That's what 800-684-3110 hey Bobby hi Jordan hi guys, I want to know if this bill goes through and it be by the way, Niagara Falls, New York, and still going to be challenged at the Supreme Court level. That's my question was the point right now, we could defeat this if we keep the right kind of pressure on today. If we keep if you call the Capitol switchboard you make that grassroots phone call this intervention to sit or sit about because again we got them on the record, even as of this morning was severe mansion. It would take both of them flipping on this issue. So I you I know what I will get there we can talk about your question.

I don't want to act as if we can't stop this, we right now have the winning hand.

Now you gotta continue to have that throughout the day. This could be tremendous pressure on these two centers today to switch their votes switch to watch carefully if they make any public comments before the voting starts or the other statements but call their offices tell them that you support 20222431212 contacts intervention to contact center cinemas office and say I stayed with them in supporting that the filibuster edge I encouraged by the votes are going to take a tonight.

Thanks for that vote tonight, but Eddie the truth is if this legislation somehow ended up on present by his desk and was cited to log. I could see a lot of challenges to get various pieces. One piece I think is the most outrageous because of the freedom to vote act is that states cannot maintain fresh voter rolls, which is something they do during every synthesis when you realize who's moved whose died, who should be off the voter rolls. This makes it like I cried for states to to it to have up-to-date voter list that's in the a good point Jordan is unbelievable to me how any legislation could pass through the Congress that would hamper the states from keeping fresh voter lists in hand and purging voter list of dead people are doing things that are just makes sense in terms of keeping the voter list fresh and the people who voted the appropriate persons. And again, and I think he into the cloud to the callers the comment directly is unchallengeable in the Supreme Court of the United States if it should become law if it should be signed by the President.

Ultimately, I doubt that will happen, but if it does, yes, there are many grounds upon which you can be challenged in the Supreme Court of the United States, one of which you mentioned based on the constitutional provision my view, that gives states the rights to send set up the mains manner and method of holding elections and that this would again be of federal power grab that could be challenged in the Supreme Court, yes indeed you have the phone to get Wendy in Oregon on live three hey Wendy, welcome to secular you're out there and encourage everyone to call. It was a new experience for me and I left a message encouraging them not to be bullied by their you know fellow Democrat and I want to encourage everyone to do it it very simple very easily and they click see composted probably complements or less. The numbers 202-224-3121 of your nicer positive. This a positive idea there on your side right now and that you want to say I get exactly what retirement there is a simple message of support to do the right thing tonight. We know that there the pressure. We know that you're being bullied by your party. We support your position on the filibuster at that were encouraged by the failure to take thank you for the both of you will take later tonight to preserve that filibuster. But you know Wesley get through into all of this again. I am, that's what I don't ever claim victory before. This is not done yet.

We walk through the mechanics of it with bad but this is it is far from over. When you've got the apparatus to the Democrats to the pressure they've got anything at college football coaches putting pressure on people like you, which amazing isn't it really is yeah yeah they they are determined.

Generally, the Democrat party. They they walk in lockstep with one another is very unusual that cinema and mansion holding out.

We again need to encourage and do that. I think for Chuck Schumer that there is one motive in all of this and that is his own political survival. They realized there is a lose. Probably both houses of Congress in the fall. He realizes that when he comes up for reelection that the left is very unhappy with him.

AOC will probably try to primary human New York. She's very popular there. This is about his own political survival.

He's willing to attack two of his colleagues in the neck, Democrat party and to put the Senate through this because he wants to be able to say to the people on the left in his home state. Look, folks, I tried. I did my best. My colleagues would not go along with this. That to me as part of the most disingenuous part of this whole charade and that is the political motivations of Chuck Schumer. Our second half are covered up or go through again what is actually voting on tonight and why is it this pressure to paid this federal takeover election sheepish gifts below that I will provide you sit her sentiments intervention it would oppose that it oppose the legislation. It oppose the idea of turning the Senate and House of Representatives, where there is no a 60 foot threshold is no idea synthesis great building bipartisan support.

Major pieces of legislation second half hours covered up tortoise if you watch the broadcast share with daily go to ACLJ.org support our work@aclj.org will be right back.

ACLJ is been on the frontline protecting your freedom is defending your rights in court in Congress and in the public arena. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side. If you're already a member thanking God's well this is the perfect time to stand with us, ACLJ.org, where you can learn more about our life-changing work, member today ACLJ keeping you informed and now is Jordan secular, says Sen. Chuck Grassley talk at the bigger issue here is to talk about that as well. Why are they making this push so aggressively I think so. We talked about. There's individual pressure on the scissors that they're facing from the left of their own party.

Potential primary challenges, even to some like Chuck Schumer, AOC still has time to file the paperwork to challenge structure so he's got us look like you'll do anything possible even take a massive loss as leader of the U.S. Senate to try to piece the far left pace that I will tell him as someone who works at the base of the right your post. You can't please everyone thought, you know, and it would you try to do that typically you just get it we can yourself when you take votes that you know are going to fail.

But what of which elicited Sen. Grassley is Cecil who is about bipartisan compromise.

Take a listen by 30 and disorders of Sir to say only one part of unilateral governments can save democracy, but once an exception is made in their talking about that except and this furthers voting rights bill.

But once an exception is made to the right of all senators. The debate and to amend legislation. There seems to be no going back learned that Democrats learned that 2013. Type of judicial nominees with a single do it all the way up to the Supreme Court.

Republicans came in significantly. Filibuster's report of these yet he did not Report on Lisa was due for this report to, and that change everything there but has it ever to happen when it comes to legislation itself over to Harry at because Harry what are things that Sen. Grassley has focusing on. There is a bigger pressure campaign.

What are Joe Betsy Christensen was facing the being told that without your vote here without changing the rules democracy is over racist have one radicals fascist have one and without. So unless we change the rules as Chuck Grassley said to the city. Unilateral one-party solution with this federal takeover the elections we've given up democracies without certainly that is the claim and of course the claim is nonsensical.

Imagine the President of the United States, Joseph Biden, claiming that if you don't support voting rights that you must take your place in history with John Calhoun and bull Connor well when he forgot to mention, of course, is that both of those individuals were what Democrats and so what we have in front of the American people is simply a sham, a masquerade of charade and it's all about power. So essentially the Democrats have engaged in a deliberate effort to rig the election. They are attacking a law in Georgia, which provides greater voting access, then, is available for instance in Delaware and in many northern states. They've attacked the attempts by Republicans to ensure voter integrity in Texas law because the Democrats they want to engage in vote, harvesting and other malicious efforts designed to do, what to subvert democracy. So when they claim they are defending democracy. In reality, it's quite the opposite.

It's a shell game. It's a sham and I hope the American people see through it yet, so folks we come back waiting for your phone calls 164 3110 if you got question that the actual legislation what's in this that is being voted on at tonight by the U.S. Senate. 6:30 PM Eastern time. If you question about this move to change the filibuster we would add a couple of votes couple of votes and a massive pressure campaign continues as we speak on those two scissors batch incident right now. Give us a call one 800 684 31 to its even ask about the question of filibuster to question what's actually in this legislation why we call it a federal takeover of the election process will walk through for that to come back break to get hundred 684 31 to talk to us on their. Also, if you call their offices call the Capitol switchboard. I love to hear from more of you who made that phone call. Encourage others to make that phone call, give us a call at 1-800-684-3110. Be right back challenges facing Americans is a time when our Valley freedom sword constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever to stay with the American Center for Law and Justice ACLJ on the frontlines injecting your freedoms defending your rights and courts in Congress and in the public arena and we have an exceptional track record of success. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you personally. It's pretty obvious that you likely talked about this, but wire Sue Schubert and Nancy Pelosi what they got, Joe Biden, now changed his position on the filibuster to this is how you save democracy. This is about the only way they think they can save themselves. That's not to say that I think that that's supposed to lose her seat several Cisco Chuck Schumer may or may not get a primary challenge, but it's not you, it's the ideas that the liver be leadership and the rest of her life.

This will be at the coming wave is happening. They have 28 now that was the house Democrats who have retired or doubts the resignation were not even gonna try.

They don't want to try some of those are deep blue districts just don't want to be the minority this case let's when younger coveted fight battles I've been there before. I do want to go back to that.

So this is the last ditch effort to try to put these really draconian laws of the states and I want to spend some time on that as well because what are they actually voting on tonight is important to us so that we start with Scott's call from Tennessee. Unlike what he Scott Logan Sekulow oh you're on the air and calling it out. Article 1, section 4, where the time the manner of holding elections will be prescribed in the state legislature, but Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such regulation. Does that mean that they could technically have a voting rights bill. It would be cost an additional four so they have before the Supreme Court said for one part of that voting rights bill that was passed the civil rights movement was to re-challenge the core. They said this is been in place long enough. This needs to come to an end.

A lot of this push was because of that move by the Supreme Court so.

Yes we've seen time to time to get together to look at your provision by provision and sub would somewhat fall constitutionally. Some like that but it's up to whether or not it's good or bad policy.

We believe ultimately this is bad policy and that the right place. This stand is in the states. This is not about Thai place later.

This is about your voting roles. This is about how long you gotta be open for its about making the Atty. Gen. The elections are the US Atty. Gen. The elections are the idea that every change to voter integrity laws would have to get precleared by Congress and the federal government. This is a get. It's a Democratic Party take over the election system, not a congressional what I think that's precisely correct and when you say it's a Democrat party takeover it's important to keep in mind that it what we are really talking about is a takeover by progressive elites who seek to ensure what tribalism and globalization as part of their approach to destroying essentially the idea of America. So for instance if you actually look at the Constitution is the caller just at article 1, section 4 gives the power to control voting to the states. It's also clear that there are certain constitutional amendments that affect voting accepts such as the 15th amendment.

The 19th amendment on the 26th amendment, which required that the voting rights of US citizens cannot be abridged on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude, sex, or age bought beyond those issues, the states.

As a general rule are in charge.

But that's not what the Democrats are satisfied with. They want progressive elites, who generally went to Eastern elite institutions to control who has the right to vote, so that progressive policies which largely consist of ideological abstractions that no rational person shares they want to make sure that those ideas are enforced so that they can push policies which are not in the interest of the American people. They are clearly in the interest of China and other global powers to the here's where gets it really naughty is when they start evoking previously. Previous editors who are involved in some of the biggest hate groups our country at the highest levels as reasons why they would support or doing really structure meticulous despite historically changes to the Senate rules have been necessary to adapt to change circumstances.

Even Sen. Bernie traditionalists said just that traditionalist everything is a grad Cyclops that I don't say that Latvia grant Cyclops of the KKK and remember present Biden speech. You would think that you don't evoke people like that because present by absent that speech he could've said are you are you Sen. Byrd or or or are you a Dr. King just as easily by 26. How do you want to be remembered for consequential moments in history that present a choice you want to meet us on the side of Dr. K for George Wallace do on the side of John Lewis bull Connor decided Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis. This is the moment to decide to defend our election to defend our democracy and it's it's tough, no principles, no moral clogs that they will invoke severe burden on what day the positive relay on the next day there comparing other Democrats like him, which by the I did reiterate to you know Basie choose a side there putting all Republicans and their two colleagues on the side of Jefferson Davis and George Wallace and put down Sen. Byrd. They could somehow rectify.

They can so they can reconcile the Ku Klux Klan's when Robert Byrd is been was in the Senate forever and ever from West Virginia and then that he's okay there's nothing wrong with them even saw the light, but no one else does look this statement of the President made, how do you want to be remembered.

Consequential moments and is the I think that is the most divisive, historically incorrect but divisive statement that a present United States is made in the in them in any memory that I have 12 Presidential statements and they claim that Donald Trump was divisive. What is he saying he saying you either a Martin Luther King logger, George Wallace, you're either bull Connor from Mississippi or your John Lewis so you're either Abraham Lincoln or Jeff Davis. What nonsense to draw those kinds of lines in the sand look this is a democratic power grab people need to see it for that into these are Democrats that he is invoking Robert Byrd was a Democrat. As Prof. Hutchison said John Calhoun was a Democrat. Bull Connor was a Democrat and want to tell you about that. They just want to say look alumina look at history as it is in our eyes and our viewpoint. This is again a divisive man Joe Biden making a divisive speech, not respecting the history of the country, not really giving it its due. Well, he could not invoke Sen. Byrd because who gave the glowing eulogy of this former leader of the KKK and at Robert Byrd's funeral Joe Biden by Sen. from Delaware gave the eulogy I definitely can't do that. What I think is just so rich and crazy about this and so pompous is that this is a policy disagreement whether or not you think the federal government should control the elections as opposed to your state. It's a policy disagreement, but the President did in Atlanta last week. Besides mischaracterizing Georgia law, which obviously he is not read, but he took half of America because about half of America disagrees with this law.

He took half of the United States of America and claimed that if you don't agree with me you are racist and like Jefferson Davis, you are a trader. This makes Hillary Clinton's little quip about the basket of deplorable's seem pretty mild because I think she meant that there were certain amount of people who were in this basket of deplorable. It wasn't half the country, but to Joe Biden if you don't agree with this policy. You are racist and a trader in East telling that to to half of the nation's unbelievable fan out to go through surveys of the provisions of the law. We come back to Ocala tight retail metal about Ukraine to a given pressure ramping up in the language of the White House concerning the sale.

It can be infinite At any time. Some time, but that limited to a picture phone calls I wanted hundred 64, 31, two, but right now this is all set.

These could change the Senate.

This is all set to happen between 6:30 PM today that you 8:30 PM Eastern time. Yet after leader Schumer met with his conference last night Jordan, he announced this. The vote on cloture, which again is ending debate on the bill's gonna take place at 630 it's going to fail. It will not get 60 votes will probably get 50 votes will probably get Sen. mansion in Sen. Cinema.

But then that puts the Senate in a posture worth leader Schumer wants to he can try to nuke the legislative filibuster and he has said that he is going to. He had said he is can asked Democrats even though he doesn't have enough votes to do this.

He doesn't have the 50 votes he needs. Plus, the vice President's to get to 51.

He is going to try to in the legislative filibuster for voting rights legislation and Jordan hit the expectation from both leader.

Schumer's words and what has been told to the rest of the Senate is that that's gonna take place right after that 630 vote in right folks retake your call title VII coming up. What 100 684 31 to get your comments to our Facebook periscope. However, watching the broadcast rate.

Also, grassroots make a difference. You let your voice be heard. Just second by doing updates and I was on the broadcaster statement I would update you on what was happening Ukraine. It's pretty troubling language cave attitude sake, just to give you a sense of where the White House is thinking this stands as of right now. Take a listen I think.

As I noted a few minutes ago. We believe were not estate for Russia at any point. Mansion attack on Ukraine.

I would say that's more stark than we have been so they got more stark. That happened after the show yesterday could happen at any time and Westwood Elsinore Secretary of State is extended his visit to try to be with the Russian Foreign Minister one more time to Bard Switzerland and this is a critical moment and by the way, you know, incidentally, is no coincidence that yesterday Russia announced that they were going going to do joint military exercises with China and Iran.

But here's the thing. Bladder repair is waging a geopolitical war on Europe, not just Ukraine like Hitler was in the ramp up to war to he is intent on re-rewriting national boundaries.

She's already invaded Georgia in Crimea. He is now sent troops into Belarus and Kazakhstan and out and all indications are against Lucky's right that then that an invasion is imminent. He they launch a cyber attack last week which was to test Ukraine's abilities to defend her infrastructure in your communications. US intelligence is reporting that they have now planted operatives.

Russia has in Eastern Ukraine that can execute a false flag numbers attack their own troops and blame it on Ukraine giving him of the pretext to invade talks between us and Russia collapse last week. There are 100,000 troops on Ukraine's border to the east, but also in the South in Crimea and has more troops to invade from that vantage point in the south of Ukraine and now thousands of Russian troops are in Belarus and being sent there or alleged war games with Belarus but it also gives him a northern point to launch an attack into Ukraine as well. All old indicators are that that this invasion is imminent, and in addition to combat troops. What we now know also is that Putin has it has Artie started sending what I call combat support troops to the border with Ukraine. These are hospital units, you will spoof those kinds of things you only do that if you're planning on, and an extracted combat operation folks stay on this of course got to like my cocktail record now to keep you updated on through the week. Watch very carefully if if anything occurs at something we we care about deeply broadcast because he gets another US failure that's a different country that I don't like that they I did guess you could racket up by list of failures this idea that we just not feared by the world that we are not.

The world is not concerned about where we are the issues to switch gears of data what the best people do is to call the Capitol switchboard today encourage sitter said about an mansion about to remain strong on their pledge to vote to uphold the legislative filibuster. People still got time until 6:30 PM Eastern time today to make that phone call yesterday Jordan they're going to be getting lots of phone calls from those who actually want them to switch positions on this and I'm with you I mean I just seen Pete senators change their minds. Too often just just maybe I'll refresh people's memory. He said he Sen. Manson said he would never be for the for the people at cashier wrote an op-ed in a West Virginia newspaper about it and then he changed his mind about a week later Jordan so look at it that these are to be positive. Phone calls that were putting into the Sen.'s offices right now but I tell that story just to reiterate, it's not just some abstract senators that changed his mind on this issue very recently, exactly Sen. Manson. So let's reiterate to him that we stand with his position on this and you're just just one point I would make on the substance. The substance of this it is really so bad you can you can listen to the rhetoric they say look, we want to make it easy for people to vote, a look I agree with that. I don't think it should be difficult to vote. But here's the definition of it being difficult to vote if the state says you have to have a photo ID to prove who you are and by the way, will give you that photo ID Jordan that is deemed to be, making it difficult to vote, that can't possibly be the case if we would have secure elections in the United States of America. So the substance on this one is very very bad as well. Absolute effect if you wanted to make that legal change. You would have to get preclearance from the federal bureaucracy here, absolutely.

So what we are dealing with is something that I would call a Requiem for reality. In other words, the left is driven by an ideological cesspool called the land of make-believe. So what they are doing is that they are treating steps taken by states to improve election integrity which are nondiscriminatory and then claiming that the states are doing this to discriminate on the basis of race, sex, or some other immutable characteristic. I think the American people can see through this.

I think the real question though, is whether the progressive elites, particularly the ones who are call senators can actually look at the evidence, right in front of their eyes. And I think it's important to keep in mind what Christopher Hitchens said a disbeliever in God.

He said that if I saw evidence of healing right in front of my own eyes I would disbelieve my own eyes, and I think that's precisely the the case for many of the senators, particularly the Democrat Senators in Washington.

They disbelieve the evidence right in front of their eyes. And so Georgia grants greater voting accents in the state of Delaware.

They can't see. Same thing is true of Texas and other states and so they prefer to live in the land of make-believe.

Unfortunately, every alley I come back to visit us in both bills that they combined here anytime. They do what the voter rolls to be up-to-date.

It's like it just screams out because we would engage in fraud, what would you be concerned about that that I tried to this take out people who are who are who might still be there for the very careful about that. It's only people's definitely died or deftly movements a lot of you had to give notice to the state food even to remove you and get that alone has to go through preclearance has to get approved by the federal bureaucracy because they want that voter rolls.

Now they do. They one day, 1000 dead Democrats to keep voting and that's exactly what this is all about is an attempt if you look at it nationwide to keep the Democratic Party in power through whatever mechanism you do it the Robert Byrd time Strom Thurmond type Democratic Party keep him in power and if it means violating the Constitution. If it means abrogating what the constitutional provision says with regard to the rights of states in doing these salutary things keeping the voter rolls intact. Early voting as they have a region ridiculously attacked the law in Georgia which they have never ran. I doubt Pres. Biden is even read an executive synopsis of the law to see that it is better in terms of voter integrity in his own state of Delaware that it says that you have to ask for ballot before you can just get it that we stop this idea of wholesale ballot harvesting and all these things, but because Georgia enacted it. It's got to be somehow fundamentally systemically. Rice's nonsense and final question to you today is got the schedule for 6:30 PM. Do you see the potential Freddie moving around here.

They pretty much set this up. I think leader shimmers committed to taking this about your night. I could see maybe some adjustment in the postured that he would do, or maybe how he would describe the talking filibuster, but at this point I think he's committed to doing it.

I think he's gonna make his senators walk that political plank, I mean Jordan I it's it's shocking to me because a leader of your party is supposed to sort of protect your own numbers is not doing that here return. I do not think he's wondering where folks know that at 6:30 PM Eastern time today and watched steps. Even the said ACLJ.org of course on tomorrow's broadcast will explain to break down everything that happened. You still got time to reach out Sen. sativa reach out to Sen. Mitch call 202-224-3121 will talk to you tomorrow on site on the frontline protecting your freedom is defending your rights in court in Congress and in the public arena.
