This is the Truth Network. Welcome back to another episode of It's Time to Man Up. I have a special guest with me today.

I mean, when it comes to manning up, what do you think? What about the glory of God and the souls of man or living out our faith and being men of covenant? Think about that for a moment. What's that mean to be a man of covenant, to live out our faith, men of God, living for God, the glory of God and the souls of man? With me today, Ken Peters, welcome to the Man Up show. Hey, thank you so much. It's an honor to be on the program. Well, it's great to have you with us, Ken. And, you know, you're over in, if I'm not mistaken, I know you're based out of East Tennessee currently. Is that, I don't even know, is that where you are today? I don't even know.

It sure is. Now, we have two churches and a pro-life ministry in the state of Washington, which is really where I'm from. But three years ago we took a step of faith and we felt like the Lord wanted us to plant another campus in the Knoxville, Tennessee area to get in the heart of the nation, try to make an impact on the United States. And so now we're in Washington and the Knoxville, Tennessee area.

Okay, so all right, so I'm going to pause there for a second because there's so much that comes to mind, Ken, like starting with the state of Washington, anyone who's paying attention at all knows that there's been a lot of challenges out west, right, especially the state of Washington. And then to transition to Knoxville, Tennessee, and I've been there plenty of times, but of all places, I would only conclude that would have to be the Lord, Ken. Not that I have anything against Knoxville, Tennessee, because I don't, I don't. I have friends who live there. But out of all the places you could transition to from Washington, Knoxville would not have been the first one on my list, but obviously God had something in mind for you in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Yes, sir. You know, Washington is where I spent my whole life, the Northwest, and planted two churches there and two great Christian schools, but we started a pro-life ministry called the Church at Planned Parenthood, which is, we would take the church to Planned Parenthood on city property, and we would pray and worship and preach and ask God for the end of abortion. And that kind of took fire. We ended up on the 700 Club, we ended up on Fox News, and so we really wanted to take that pro-life ministry as well as our pastoral church ministry to the middle of America. And so, it honestly was a family first decision as well, because Washington, I'm thinking about digging roots and grandkids, I'm right at that spot, and so we just felt like we wanted to get our family into this kind of a more God-fearing area to raise our kids and grandkids. It was a multitude of things, but yeah, we love it. We are so happy to be here. We love Washington, too, but we are so grateful that God re-established another location for us in Tennessee. So, born and raised out west in Washington, and I want to dive in, I don't want to bury the lead here, I want our listeners, he has a church located outside the doors, are you ready for this, of Planned Parenthood.

Now just hold that thought for a minute, we're going to set that thought aside for just a moment, I know you're going to want to hear more about that. So just tell us, Ken, you mentioned a family, so give us a little back story or backdrop on the family then. Yeah, my wife and I, we were married just after Bible college, I met her there, and we've been married now for thirty years, in about two weeks it'll be our thirty year anniversary, and we started passing right out of there. We have four kids, two of them have graduated college, one has my first grandchild already, so praise the Lord, and my son is about to get married in a couple of months, and we have two younger kids, and we have Christian schools too, so they grew up in our Christian schools. So that's the family, they're serving Jesus, that's the most a parent could ask for, is that our kids love the Lord, and so we're very grateful for that, and yeah, God has really blessed us, and we're really happy to be in Tennessee.

Well thirty year, congratulations on thirty years of marriage too, that's amazing, and no, I'm a fan of Tennessee, so I've got four as well, four girls, and three of the four live in the Nashville area, so not far from Knoxville, yeah, a couple hours from Knoxville. If I've passed through Knoxville once, I've passed through Knoxville, feels like five hundred times, back and forth, you know, I reside in the great state of, well the combination of Carolinas between North and South Carolina, and of course a mutual friend, Sharon Shaff, introduced you and I, when she heard about what you were doing, she told me, she's like, hey, you gotta get Ken on your show, man, he's got an amazing story, and I'm like, okay, well let's get him on the show, and so, you know, gave the folks kind of a cliffhanger there, you've got a church set up, established, you first did this in Washington, but then you, when you moved to Knoxville, you did this in Knoxville, I'm sure that, Ken, it's gotta raise a few eyebrows to say, our church meets outside the Planned Parenthood, am I wrong about that, or does that raise a few eyebrows? Oh, it sure does, you know, I'm a church planter, and I was about ready to start another local church, just a regular church, with brick and mortar, and I felt like the Lord said to me, before you start another regular, normal, local church, I want you to take church to the gates of hell, because Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against the church. So, I've got this idea, let's take church to the gates of hell, and let's have a Mount Carmel experience, and let's see who wins, so I planted an outdoor church that met once a month, right outside of Planned Parenthood on city property, and brother, the church blew up, it exploded, 100, 200, 300, 400, before you know it, famous people are calling me, 700 Club does a big report, now that I'm all over the news, and it's an amazing thing, you literally feel spiritual warfare in 3D, it's such a demonic presence there, and yet we're praising God, we're fighting not with flesh, but we're fighting with spiritual warfare, with spiritual weaponry, like worship, and prayer, and giving, and the preaching of the gospel, and so it's been an unbelievable thing, and yes, we took it to Knoxville as well, now abortion has been banned now in Knoxville, so praise the Lord, since Roe v. Wade went down, praise Jesus, but you know, they're rebuilding, and they're still doing bad stuff, so we're about ready to restart here in Knoxville, our Spokane branch is still going, so yeah, that's what it is, it's the church at Planned Parenthood, and Jesus promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. So, so that's, I mean, I'm just trying to envision this, right, and, because you know, you see all kinds of clips, and by that, what I mean by that is, you know, there have been some who've been arrested for just praying, in fact I have some friends, the Benham brothers, I don't know if you've ever heard of David and Jason Benham, yeah, the Benham brothers.

Oh yeah, I'm impressed with their dad. Okay, yeah, so you know, I think it was David, I want to say it was David and his son, you know, who were just praying outside of a Planned Parenthood in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, and he got arrested, his son was filming him getting arrested, you know, for praying outside. And then I think more recent, if I'm not mistaken, I think there was a group who were sitting in the hallway of a Planned Parenthood just singing hymns, and some of them are looking at like 10 years in prison, you know, for singing worship songs. So what kind of, and I envision in Washington more so than in Knoxville, but like, in Washington, what kind of warfare, what did you have to encounter, or your folks encounter when you were having church outside of the Planned Parenthood there? Whew, that's a great question, you know, the spirit of the age and the powers that be, they love abortion, they love abortion more than the First Amendment. And so when you try to exercise First Amendment, peaceful assembly, and protest in some way, whatever way that is, against abortion, all hell comes against you. And brother, I had all hell come against me. The people that you mentioned, by the way, from Nashville, many of those people that are facing prison time right now, they are my friends. I got to know them through my own active participation in the pro-life movement, but I was sued by Planned Parenthood, and they sued our church and me and some of my assistant pastors for a million dollars.

We, it's all rigged in the state of Washington, so we lost the case, we appealed, we lost again, and fortunately our great insurance company defended us, supported us, and helped us, you know, deflect that lawsuit to where it didn't destroy us. So God has been good to us, but yeah, it is dangerous business, you better know your P's and Q's, you better know that you are called to God to do that, but listen, I think it's a great holocaust in our day, and if the church doesn't be a voice for the voiceless, then nobody will, nobody else is going to do it. Well, and what's interesting, Ken, is even as we're discussing, again, gosh, there's just so many things that come to mind, and so, you know, you faced a lawsuit, you know, you stood in there, you hung in there, you know, you didn't back down right, and, you know, God's going to prevail. Well, at the same time, you know, when we, I'm reminded of way back when, ancient days, you know, when they had another, really another form of, another form of, it didn't come in the form of abortion, it came in the form of just actual child sacrifice, right? Back in the days of old Israel, you know, and, you know, that spirit of Molech, right, coming in to sacrifice, you know, sons and daughters on the altars, and, you know, the modern day, my view, the modern day version of that is, you know, aborting, you know, killing them in the womb, aborting them in the womb. And at what point did you know, you know, God really called you to do this, though, and then, of course, obviously, you step out in faith and obedience and do it, at what point did God call you to step into that realm? Yeah, that's a great question. I was literally listening to a speaker on the, on talking about the unborn and how the church should be waging war against the gates of hell in a spiritual battle, and I got the revelation that what would we do as a church if they were murdering five-year-olds in our city?

What would we do? What would the church do? And then I thought about the fact that our theology says that the unborn human being is the same, it's equivalent to a five-year-old.

It's a human being made in the image of God, and one is just younger than the other one, and in a different location. And so I thought, man, if I'm going to have this theology that there's no difference in God's eyes between a five-year-old and an unborn child, then I need to start acting for the unborn like I would for a five-year-old. And I realized that's going to entail a little bit more than voting Republican every two years, which, by the way, isn't doing a lot of good.

So I've got to do more than just vote every two years. I need to be a voice, I need to do something, and you know what, we have this beautiful country with a constitutional right to, with freedom of speech, freedom to practice religion the way that we feel God wants us to practice it, freedom to protest peacefully, peaceful assembly. So we ought to be using that First Amendment that protects us.

Now, it hasn't protected us like it should because of the spirit of the age, and the enemy just loves abortion. Like you said, it has to do with, like, Molech, and it's a form of worship for the left, it really is. But that's where it happened. It happened in a sermon. I got up after the preacher preached, and I announced to the church, without talking even to my wife about it, and I said, ladies and gentlemen, before we start another local church, God just told me in this sermon that I am to plant a church, an outdoor church, just like John Wesley, George Whitfield used to do in the 1700s out in the fields.

I'm going to plant an outdoor church on city property right outside Planned Parenthood, and we're going to do it. And brother, after I said it, every jaw in the church hit the floor, I think. My wife was, her eyes got big, and it was just an, we shook, I'm telling you, we shook the city. I got called into the mayor's office with all the city officials, and the mayor asked me, why don't you just pray inside your church building?

I said, well, for one thing, I wouldn't be talking to you right now. Right, right, right. Right, and so we shook the city. I was on the news every night, and I'm just a pastor of a church of 300, tiny, like little to mid-sized church in Spokane, Washington, and the church blew up. We had about 600 Christians out there, if I showed you the pictures of them, blow your mind, Christians with their hands raised up, worshiping God, fighting a war of the Spirit in a spiritual way.

It was something I'll never, it was a national phenomenon, and we're going to start again here in Knoxville, and I think it's going to blow up here as well. Well, I have no doubt, and you know, I'm reminded of Matthew 18.6, and you know, children are important to God, whether in the womb or outside of the womb, right?

I mean, he's like, hey, you'd be better off having a millstone hung around your neck and drowned in the depths of the sea. That's how important that children are, whether in the womb or outside of the womb, how important they are to God. Now, do I understand, do we have a mutual friend and or are you familiar with Love Life, the ministry Love Life? I sure am. Yeah, I'm acquainted with many of them. You mentioned the Benham brothers. Their dad, Flip, is a legend in the pro-life world, and I'm a good friend. He's taught on his own multiple times, and so yeah, our organization has the same spirit and just strategy of fighting this evil atrocity with things of the spirit, worship, prayer, preaching, that sort of thing, versus screaming and yelling.

You know, that's what the world does, and so we have a different strategy, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty. Right, absolutely. Well, and I bring up Love Life, Justin Reeder, of course, I've had him on the Man Up show, you know, helping to get the word out about Love Life and what they're doing for the sanctity of life. And then my pastor, Ken, you probably don't know, last year my pastor, who was 60 years old last year, raised a million dollars for Love Life by riding his bicycle from the West Coast to the East Coast, over 3,100 miles.

Wow. And he was, yeah, it took about two and a half months, and he was sponsored by tons of people, and was able to raise a million dollars, though, to set up more houses of refuge, which, for those who don't know, a house of refuge is just simply a church embracing life, life in the womb, and you become a harbor of sorts that these girls pregnant, women pregnant, and instead of aborting the baby, are willing to put the baby up for adoption, or maybe even have the baby themselves, but they come alongside, the house of refuge comes alongside, gets them what they need, loves on them, and what an amazing work you're doing, Ken. I mean, that's just, so you're getting ready to do it, you're getting ready to do it in Knoxville. Yeah, we had done it for a while, but then Roe v. Wade went down, and abortion was banned in Tennessee, and the Planned Parenthood, believe it or not, Knoxville, burnt to the ground. So abortion and Planned Parenthood has been out of business in Knoxville, but unfortunately, they're rebuilding their facility that was burned, they're rebuilding it, and reestablishing, and even though they're not going to be doing abortions in Tennessee, they're going to be referring abortions to Virginia, and Kentucky, and Illinois, and they're also dealing in this gender-bending, child mutilation type of, and hormones, and all that evil stuff, so you know what? They're rebuilding, so we're going to have to reestablish our church at Planned Parenthood here in Knoxville, so I'm going to kick it off, probably this fall, we're going to kick off and plant a new church outside of Planned Parenthood right here in Knoxville. How can people, and I'm going to segue here in a moment to Men of Covenant, because men are, you know, the man up show, I have a man up conference, I have a man camp, and so I can certainly relate when I went on your website, I was reading a little bit about that, you and I have some commonality there, but before we transition there in our last few minutes, what is, like how can people, is there a website people can find out more about your church? Yeah, you know, our church's name is Patriot Church, so we're a church with a site, and our website is patriotchurch.us, patriotchurch.us, and my Facebook page which I use for our church at Planned Parenthood is pastorkenpeters-tcapp, that stands for the church at Planned Parenthood.

So pastorkenpeters-tcapp, they can find me on Facebook, that's my public pages, and that's where I post, hey, we're going to be meeting here, we're going to be having a church at Planned Parenthood here, and so, yeah, that's how they can follow me or contact me. Well, that's amazing, and of course, men obviously are a part of your passion as well, and I see Men of Covenant, and there's a connection there, you know, God put it on my heart, you know, to implement men's ministry and focus on that since 2006, so tell us about Men of Covenant, what's that entail? Well, you know, I'm sure you remember of an organization called, and they still exist at a certain level, called Promise Keepers, I'm sure you've heard of them.

Yep. Okay, so this is kind of a spinoff of Promise Keepers, and I thought, hey, let's narrow it down to five covenants versus promises, I think they have like seven or eight promises, we narrowed it down to five things. One of those things is to have a covenant to stand up for righteousness in a nation that is forsaking righteousness, and so we include that in, but it's also to God, family, church, the brotherhood, and then to our country, and standing up for righteousness.

So, yeah, we want to be, listen, if we're going to take our country back, Antifa's not going to save us, Black Lives Matter isn't going to save us, the Democrats aren't going to save us, and the Republicans aren't going to save us, quite frankly, even them. The only thing that can save us is the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit working through the body of Christ, and men have got to lead the way, thank God for the women who are there at the tomb and at the cross, but we need Peter and John to run to the tomb. We need the men to lead the way in the Church of Jesus Christ, because the Church is the only hope, and so, yeah, I have such a heart for men to be soldiers. We've demasculinized men, we've demasculated them, and they've lost, it's cool to just be cute, and I'm not talking about anger and rage, I'm talking about guys like John Wesley, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon. These guys were manly men, real men, and they were holy men, they were spiritual men, but they were also inwardly spiritually tough, so we are trying to activate men for the army of God. Well, and I love the concept, I really do, and God gave me a vision for our camps and certainly our conferences, and part of the vision was to, to your point, was to equip men to be godly men, godly husbands, and godly fathers.

Lead by serving, and as part of the vision, send these guys home and able to give them the tools they need in order to walk that out, not just talk about it, but talk the talk, but actually walk the walk, right, as the expression goes. And so, you know, I'm excited that you have embraced that, and you're right, as far as when it comes to manhood and masculinity, you know, this hasn't been an attack on manhood over the last several years, as I know you're fully aware. It's been several decades, really, that the, you know, the emasculation of men, and then, you know, then throwing the word, the toxicity, or the toxic man, right, the toxic male, and no, we're not talking about that at all. We're just talking about being a man who loves God, and then loves his family, and loves his country, right? I love the, I love the Patriot Church, I love that, loves his country too, right?

Yes. We don't want to be, we don't want to be woke, woke is weak, we want to be, we want to stand up for the morals of God's word, righteousness. Well, and you made mention of, you know, that our weapons are not carnal, you know, our weapons, you know, we're not, we're not, and I'm reminded of Ephesians, right, when you put on the full armor that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, that it's, you know, there's a greater, we're at war, we are at war, and it's not a cruise ship, you know, when you enlisted in God's army, you jumped on the battleship, and so, hence the name of the show, Ken, man up, right?

Because we, we need some men, sounds like you're calling men to man up, I'm calling men to man up, and I can't thank you enough for being a part of the man up show today, so it's great to have you on. Well, it's such an honor, thank you, thank you so much for having us, and having me on the program, and if you don't mind, our website for Men of Covenant is MOC4God.org, that stands for Men of Covenant 4God.org, and we have in there our covenants, and we have one big rally a month, and then we have small groups of men where we confess our faults one to another, and pray for one another that we may be healed, and so that we can grow in holiness, and so, yeah, thank you so much, brother, for having me on your program. Wait a minute, Ken, you're exercising James 516, pray for one another, confess one to another so you can be healed?

Come on, come on! Yeah, we call them bands, bands of brothers, because the ultimate goal is to grow and become more like Christ, right, and that is biblical, if we want to get healed of our sins and our iniquities, then we need to pray for one another and confess with humility our faults, amen, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, hallelujah. I love it, and once again, listen, go to Ken Peter's website, MOC, that's the number four, the number four, G-O-D.org, right, M-O-C, the number four, G-O-D.org, and learn more, and it's more localized for currently in Knoxville, Tennessee, correct? Well, we started in our church, but we designed it for every church, so we want this to spread, honestly, we took our local church stuff out of it, so it's literally, and there's no control, it's Holy Spirit, we just want it to make a difference, if anybody wants to jump on it and steal it, do it, please, in Jesus' name, that's what we want it to be for. Amen, oh, that's amazing, well, I thank you, Ken Peters, and check out PatriotChurch.us, as well, right, and see what Ken's doing out there in Knoxville, Tennessee, and over in the state of Washington, and thank you for tuning in to another episode, The Man Up With Nikita Koloff, yours truly, and go out today, here's my challenge, go out today and live a God-filled, God-blessed day.
