This is the Truth Network. This is the Truth Network. Nakita, destroy, crush, demolish all competitions. Does he want it? Here it is!
And Mr. Koloff once again made his feelings very, very apparent. It's been a long time, but the wave is over. That's a bad man. No, that's a bad man.
No, that's a bad man. It's time to man up with Satan's nightmare, Nakia Koloff. How important is prayer? How important is prayer in your life? How important is prayer in general?
Well, that's a topic of discussion today. And with me in studio today, this is always an added blessing to have folks in studio with me today. Tanya Skelly, welcome to the Man Up Show. It's always fun to have a lady on. It's time to man up.
Yeah. You get a woman's perspective on things.
So it's great to. I know it's been at the work he's trying to get you here with our schedules. Right. Trying to make that happen. Got timing.
Got timing. Yeah, excited to have you here. And with you, you have, introduce your guest with you. This is my dear friend, Pastor Julius Kuntz. The Lord brought us together almost 10 years ago.
So, yes, he's pastoring in High Point area. And yeah, like I said, we've known each other for a good 10 years. And what a blessing he's been in my life.
Now, so how, take a minute. How that, how'd you get?
So was it at a conference or just cross paths or how'd that happen?
So. Almost 10 years ago, the Lord laid it on my heart through a series of different Things, but basically, John 17:20 through 23 would not let it go. It was coming to me in a million ways. And I, which is the scripture right before Jesus goes to the cross, that he prays for believers yet to come that they would be united, united in him, as I am in you, you are in me, that they would be united. And I looked around my new community.
My husband's a retired army officer, and neither one of us are from North Carolina, but we got here as fast as we could.
Okay. And we had been in our new community in Rowan County, in Salisbury. For a couple of years, and I looked around and I thought, I don't, I'm not seeing the unity. I'm seeing churches in their silos. I'm seeing paraministries in their silos.
Felt like the Lord was calling me to call people together, what I envisioned to be an old-fashioned tent revival, think Billy Graham. That's not what he did. But what I did was, I held a breakfast to VisionCast, and my dear friend. Tom Phillips, who was one of the vice presidents at Billy Graham. He wrote a couple books on revival.
And so he was the keynote speaker to speak about revival. What does that look like? And Pastor Koontz was invited. He was one of many people that was invited, but he sat right next to me. And at the end of that time together, that breakfast, and we had a couple of people speaking, he came directly up to me and said, I'm not sure what the Lord is doing, but I don't want to miss this.
And so, yeah, and so. There was just a connection.
So at that time, he was living in Greensboro. I'm in Salisbury. And I contacted him and said, I want to get to know you and your family. And so my husband and I went out. We went to Printworks for dinner.
And we've subsequently taken five trips together: his wife, my husband. We've gone and we've gone to the mountains and we've taken respites and. It's it's And if Just so everybody knows, I am a very white blonde girl. Pants are currently. For the record.
For the record. For the record. For the record. African American. And it's just been, you know, we're Mutt and Jeff, and we're.
But it works. We're, yes, and we're. Different Wait, different mothers, but same father. Same father. Same father.
Yes. Yeah, sometimes I'll introduce myself as somebody twin brothers with different mothers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Twin brothers with different mothers. That doesn't work in your case.
It does be a man and woman. But let me jump over to you, Julius. And so you're. You're uh you're pastoring um in in uh where thomasville we are in thomasville north carolina and we pastor been pastoring for about 16 years all at the same place not at the same place we were in salisbury and that's how we kind of got to meet first meet yeah 10 years ago because of the gathering of all pastors and people that was invited to the breakfast the breakfast and that's when i realized i realized because whenever god get ready to do something prayer has to precede that so when i saw what uh was happening and i'm saying this is great because it's hard to get pastors to be in one room and when i saw that i was amazed i said how in the world did she get all of these pastors in one room and that's when i realized That the anointing was on her to be able to usher in a prayer gathering. I did not realize it was gonna Come to this point, but God did.
God did, and her faithfulness kept it going. That 10 years later, here you guys would be, right? Yeah, absolutely. And yeah, and it always amazes me. Could you know, as I travel How many communities, and it's a majority, I'm just going to say.
Yes. Communities I'm in where churches don't. Work together. They don't collaborate together, don't work together. I do all these men's conferences, and I mean.
First, off the top of my head, pastor says to me, We have four other churches that. Said they'd be bringing guys to the conference, and not one of them are here. Not one, not one of them, not one of their people. You know, no, and and and I'm just like, I'm like, and they're upset about it. I'm like, just it's all it's all good, it's all good.
We will minister to the ones who are here. That's true. But that just blows my mind. Because in my mind, I'm like, and I don't even care what your banner says outside. You know, it's Jesus on the inside, right?
And I get it. There might be a few different philosophies or beliefs or doctrines, but at the end of the day, Jesus is the ultimate message, right? And so, so, Julius, tell me, just so you moved from Salisbury up to Thomasville, and just take a minute and tell us about your family, too. Yeah, absolutely. I'm married to a beautiful woman by the name of Tammy.
She worked with Gifford County Health Department. She's been there probably about 12 years now. She was a bedside nurse at Moses Combs for about 18, 19 years. We have a son who is 25 years old. He's at UNC Med School.
I'm very proud of him. He's doing a wonderful, wonderful job along with his little dog, Jazzy.
Okay. Grandchild. Grandchild, yeah, for now. And so we've been in Thomasville four and a half years, and we just relaunched the church.
Okay. Maybe six, seven, eight months ago there locally. And we are starting to get some traction of people coming and knowing where we are.
Okay. So that's going pretty good. That's pretty, pretty good. And I'm just grateful to be a part of what God is doing. It's a kingdom work.
And we talked about pastors not being able to collaborate together. Right. Because as a pastor for 16 years, I believe that there's something what we call church life and kingdom life. And whenever you're doing church life, it's built on a church blueprint. But whenever you're doing kingdom life, it's built on a kingdom blueprint.
And we know the kingdom blueprint is about sound doctrine.
So whenever you're not having sound doctrine, Then you're going to find that you have a church blueprint, and when you see a church blueprint, it's got a drawings on it, but it has no measurements. You can see the drawing of it, but there's how it's going to be, how wide it's going to be. But when you look at a kingdom blueprint, you see scripture, you see the word, you see the kingdom.
So you have a direction of how it's supposed to be built. That's what I see in Pray North Carolina. It is a kingdom blueprint and not just another prayer group. I love that. And we're going to get to that.
Don't jump ahead of me there, Audrey. That's all right. No, I enjoy your excitement. I appreciate your excitement. We are going to get there.
No, all good. All good. I'm just teasing. Kind of. No body slams here.
No body slams here. Thank you very much. I've seen your body slam. You've seen a few videos. I've seen your body slams.
Now, are you originally from North Carolina, though, or Eastern? Eastern part of North Carolina. It's a place called Comfort.
Okay. Comfort 300 people. 300 people. 299. And stoplights?
Well, 299 since I left.
So, downside. And we tell people to slow down, slow down when you come through Comfort because we only have a stop sign and a yield sign.
Okay. So you have to stop if you want to experience comfort. That'll preach right there. If you want to experience comfort, you need to stop. At least slow down.
At least slow down. Come on, at least slow down and experience comfort. That's good. Because, after all, he is the God of all comfort.
So I like that. I like that. And, well, Tanya, let me come back to you for a moment here. You mentioned your husband and thank him for serving, by the way. We always appreciate those who serve our great nation.
And so take a minute, tell us about him, how long have you guys been married? Children, tell us a little bit about that. Yeah, so thank you for that because I love this country, greatest country in existence. And she's hurting, but we love this country. My dad served in the Air Force for 23 years.
I was actually born in the Philippines. Oh, wow. Yeah. You're a PI. Yeah, exactly.
You're a PI kid.
Okay. My brother in England, my sister in the Mojave Desert, and we lived in Spain. We lived all over the world.
So great, great childhood. Great childhood.
Okay. And then married Greg. How'd you meet him? In those travels? No.
So I met Greg online. I've been a. Certified professional nanny trained in Beverly Hills. And I've traveled the world as a nanny. But if anybody knows of high-end nanny dumb, it's uh you could work 60, 70, 80 hours a week.
It could be an awful lot. You were an au pair? No, I was a nanny. Oh, there is a difference. There's a big difference.
There's a big difference. So, side note: au pairs come over here on a work visa typically.
Okay, they can only work 45 hours a week, and they're typically gone after about a year, and it's a trade-off. There's a whole so-gotch, that's a whole other thing. There's a reason I'm familiar with that, but okay. Keep going, keep going though.
Okay, and so, um, yeah, Greg and I met online. It was a small little Christian dating site. I have no idea if it still exists, but it's called Christian Cafe. And you talked about your salvation story. You gave a testimony to your walk, and you were putting your favorite scriptures on there.
So it was beautiful. And so that's how we met. He was stationed in Seoul, South Korea, and I was nanning in Charleston, South Carolina at the time. That's crazy. I've been to Seoul.
Beautiful. Yeah. How many countries have you been to? Just out of curiosity, randomly. I would actually count.
Oh, gosh, 10, 12. 12.
Okay. I was just curious because to date I've been to 36 different countries so far. Wow. Few more that I I may try uh may try to to to uh Travel to. We'll see.
We'll see. That's awesome.
Well, okay, so that's exciting.
So. 'Cause I was gonna say when you said earlier I'm not originally from North Carolina and I was gonna gonna ask, well, where are you from? You're all over the world is your answer. All over. All over the world.
That's amazing. And and so how you've been married, how long? This May, we're coming up on 16 years. 16 years. All right.
Pastor Kuhn's house. 32. 32. Wow. You knew that, right?
Yes. 32 years. 32 years. So that's amazing. That's amazing.
And I like, just, I want to just say, too, the church life versus kingdom life. I like that. My pastor always says, you know, we're the little C, but we're here building the big K. You know, we're here building the kingdom, but we're just a small part of that. We're just a little C here, you know?
And, okay, so. Julius kind of let the cat out of the bag in a sense.
So, Tanya, let's talk for a moment about Prayer North Carolina, the vision for it, and a little bit about what it is for our listeners out there. Yeah, so if we go back to how Julius and I met, that ultimately became Pray Rowan, Rowan County.
Okay. And Pray Rowan still goes on.
So we pray for eight years, the first Saturday of the month from 10 to 11, all churches in the county coming under the banner and blood of Jesus Christ. To pray for that hour. And then in 2025, we moved it to quarterly. And so December 6th. We actually have Pray Rowan happening at Catawba College in the chapel from 10 to 11.
And so it's always an amazing time to get together.
So, what was birthed out of Pray Rowan is Pray, North Carolina.
Okay. So, you went from a county and got a statewide vision. That's right. That's exactly it. If you're looking for cutting-edge products, discover top-quality supplements designed to boost your health and wellness.

So right before COVID happened, we felt like the Lord would there are 100 counties in North Carolina, and we felt like the Lord was calling us to bring all 100 counties together to pray. And petition him to glorify him, to magnify him, and live out unity. Which is where I think we officially met was at one of your meetings in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through a mutual friend, I was invited by a mutual friend, Frank Shelton. Frank Shelton, shout out.
Yeah, shout out to Frank. I call him Frankenheimer. But talking about a man who travels all over the world. But so we first met.
So I got the experience, and then, of course, more recently, you had me share a few minutes at one of the more recent ones. How often, so those were in Charlotte. Do you take those around the state then? Yes, so thank you for that.
So that is actually not to confuse, you and I met at the Pray, North Carolina Roundtable.
Okay. So that is where I'm partnering with Rooftop Ministries, John Whaley.
Okay. And John and I, so John and I met through Frank.
So Frank i Frank is like Six people are six degrees from Frank. Like, this is a guy that knows everybody. Everybody. You name it. He's probably met him or knows him.
That's right. That's right. And so Frank and I met, oh gosh, 10 years ago or so. We actually used to work together at Billy Graham.
Okay. Yeah. That's the connection. Gotcha. And so about a little over a year ago, Frank contacted me and said, Hey, I don't know why I haven't thought about this, but you got to meet my friend John Whaley, who's in Hickory.
And so John comes last year to pray Rowan. And he shares about his ministry, rooftop ministries. And then my husband, Greg, and I went to lunch afterwards with John. And we're talking about all the different things that are happening around this great state on behalf of the Lord in terms of prayer. And John was like, We gotta have a roundtable.
We need to bring God's people together. Let's pray for each other. Let's find out what's happening around the state. We are to be for each other. Right.
To be praying for each other. Let's buoy each other. Let's share about what's happening in other parts of the state.
So that's the roundtable, and that's where you and I met.
Okay. And out of those 100 counties, you've developed a, and we'll make sure and get the website out there, but you developed a website to Illustrate where people can connect in any county across North Carolina, correct? Yes. We have an interactive map on our website.
Okay. And all you got to do is you can hover over that. We've taken the map of North Carolina and divided it into eight districts. And so you can find out what's happening. We are slowly getting ministries on there.
But if you have a prayer ministry out there, you'll get the website at the end today. And you can contact me, and we would love to get your prayer ministry on our website so that people can find out what's happening in their county. Yeah, in their community, in their county, or whatever. And, Julius, let me bounce back to you for just a moment.
So, you saw the vision for this 10 years ago. Here you are 10 years later. What do you know when we talked about the word unity came up? Tanya brought the word unity. What do you see as the biggest Currently, the biggest challenge in whether it's uniting pastors, uniting churches, uniting communities, to come together in prayer.
Yeah, yeah, I think it's the kingdom message. I think that's what's missing. I think there's a lot of messages that's been taught, preached. but I don't think it's kingdom center. You know, it talks about Matthew chapter 13, verse 33.
It talks about the yeast. It talks about the yeast, the kingdom of God is like. And it talks about the yeast and how you just need a little bit of yeast to change. the whole flour, it's the the dough. And the dough of the world, the yeast is the the message, but it talks about the woman.
who put the yeast in The doe.
Okay. So the woman represents the church. The bride, right? The bride. Yeah.
And the geese represent the message, and the doe represents the world.
So we just need a little bit. of the kingdom to change The Whirl. and it's not been done, and the only difference is that we have the church. We have the world Right. The difference is we don't have the kingdom Message.
Kingdom mindset, kingdom perspective. Would that be fair to say? Yeah, the kingdom message is what Jesus said in Luke. He said, I must. Preach the gospel of the kingdom.
So, the gospel of the kingdom, remember the Bible says he's given the church the keys, the access. And we have created our own little kingdom within the church.
So, therefore, we don't have the resources that we need to convince the world. That Jesus Christ is Lord. He's the answer. He is the answer. He is the answer.
So, the relationship that we have is because I believe that whenever I see a kingdom movement, I'm on board. I'm totally on board. Because again, prayer has to proceed. In order, God is going to do something where they will be recognized that he did it. Prayer has to be involved.
Now, I do believe that prayer has regional purpose. I really do. Yeah, because of influences over certain redemotic influences over certain regions, et cetera, right? Right, right. With all these regional prayer groups, I think they're necessary.
Because God wanted to do something in the city, He wanted to do something in the county, He want to do something in the region, He want to do something in the State.
So you have to be prepared to where He's calling you to. And fortunately, Tanya heard Statewide. She'd been talking about state, and we didn't know how we're gonna get this. What that was gonna look like. What that was gonna look like, because we were gonna go to county to county to county to create these type of prayer groups in the county.
Somehow got it COVID. COVID happened too. Yeah. Shut that whole jump.
So COVID happened.
So God changed the strategy. Kind of force it to maybe more of an online kind of. kind of thing initially to Offset the gathering together, et cetera.
Well, we had created a PowerPoint. We had created, not a brochure, but a whole packet, yeah, a training thing. We had a team set up of about eight people, and we were going to go certainly to the adjacent counties, to Rowan County first, and then go out from there. We went into Cabarris County first, and then COVID shut everything down. And so.
He calls us to pivot, right? He may give us a very clear vision, and we step out in obedience, but he may call us to pivot from that in time. We may understand clearly as to why we may not, but we just need to be obedient to what he calls us to. Yeah. And so.
After about two years or so of the world being shut down and even churches not being opened up, years prior, I had started a prayer group at the legislature in Raleigh. And I had a group of people that were, we were going into the legislature monthly to pray. Bipartisanly, I don't know if that's a word, in a bipartisan way. Yeah, right, right. Yeah, just we'll go with it.
It is a word now.
So, to pray with all of the members of the legislature, and then we would attend chapel there, which is member-led. And that group was still going on even to this day. It's been probably about 10 years. But I went to go have lunch with these women that I hadn't been able to see in a while because of COVID. And there had just been another shooting in Raleigh and something, a building set on fire in Raleigh.
This is when cities were burning. And I remember eating my salad and thinking, what are we waiting on? In terms of this Pray North Carolina, because we thought we would get these separate counties and then annually we'd come together as Pray North Carolina. And I thought, what are we waiting on? If the need to pray is so great today, it's greater tomorrow.
And within seven weeks, our first Pray North Carolina was on the Capitol steps in Raleigh. And Ann Graham Lotts was our keynote speaker. And that was all God, seven weeks, seven weeks. And we had hundreds of people that came out. And so we just held this past September, we just held our fourth annual pray.
North Carolina. Oh, in Greensboro. Yeah, in Greensboro. There's pastoral. That's amazing.
So you move that around from city to city. The first few years was in Raleigh. The last few years it's been in Greensboro.
Next year, it's going to be in Lexington. We do want to kind of keep it center of the state, and we keep it midday, and it's just for two hours from 12 to 2. The purpose of center of the state is so that the ocean can come and the mountains can come. Yep, yep, western and eastern can meet in the middle, right? That's right.
And uh. Pastor Julius, what do you envision here moving forward with this whole prayer movement?
Well, again, as I stated before, I think prayer proceeds a move of God. Because of our faithfulness, and God rewards faithfulness, He really does, whether it's a small, Or whether it's great. He rewards that.
So when we think about what we believe that God wants to do. in this state as it relates to unity, Relates to building relationship so that the world can see. That Christ did come to die. The Bible says we would know him. The love we show one to another, the world would know him right because of that.
So, when we think of pray in North Carolina. One of the things that I believe is going to happen with this is because of how it was done. There's so many prayer groups and there are so many ministries that are praying. but somehow, some way, they were never able To gather in the same mindset and the same heart set.
So, this is something it's kind of new. It's not new per se, but the way it's been strategized, you can see that God's hand is in it because of people who believe and are faithful. Their assignment. That's amazing. Your church, somebody's passing through Thomasville and they say, Hey, I think I want to stop in at Pastor Julius Kuntz's church.
What's the name of the church? The name of the church is Christ Transformation Ministry.
Okay. And we are. On 8 Randolph Street in Thomasville. Website? Website is ChristTransforms.org.
Christ transformed If you're passing through Thomasville, North Carolina, stop in and see Pastor Julius Koons. I sense you'll be blessed just at the brief time we've had talking here today. And you mentioned unity.
Well, Julius, you certainly have bridged that gap with this little blonde white gal sitting here next to me. This, my sister, my baby sister, I call her my baby sister. Come on, that's right. She acts just like a baby sister as well. That's awesome.
We fight, we fuck. But there's at the end of the day, there's that love. And the demonstration of what kingdom truly looks like and feels like. I think that is the picture that we want people to realize that God is trying to tell the world something that He is in all of us who is in Him. Bridge the color barrier, right?
As the world tries to divide. 100. You guys have a vision to bring everyone together and unite together. By the way, the Lord meant for me to be a blonde white woman and for him to be a black man. And it's this beautiful tapestry.
But Satan wants to, you know, he wants to drive a wedge in there. Exactly. Yeah, he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Website for the prayer move, like if there's out there listening, other pastors or ministries, prayer ministries that want to be a part in just our last minute or so here, what's the website people can go to? Yes, you can go to pray-nc.com and please check out that interactive map.
And just check out the whole website. You can definitely see That we come under his authority and that we are seeking his face and all the things. And I love what my pastor says: if you're not praying, don't complain. That's good. Yeah.
So they can go on the website and again, it's pray-nc for northcarolina.com. Pray-nc.com. And they can go on there and maybe they don't have a prayer ministry or they're not a pastor, but maybe they want to get involved or engaged in the prayer movement. Yes. And depending on whatever county they are in the state of North Carolina, and find a group.
Yeah. Well, help you find a group or help you get one started. I mean, we'd love that. Yeah. So on our front page, there is a place to where you can fill it out, and it's to quote volunteer and just send me an email.
Also on our front page is a place for you to leave a prayer request and you can know that it will faithfully be prayed over.
So we want to make sure you know that. Awesome.
