Love to be on Q&A with Kolov and we'll get it all scheduled lined up. But with me today, I've got this special guest today. Haas Piasecki, welcome to Q&A with Kolov. Oh, thank you. Excited to be here.
Well, great to have you with us, Haas. And you're up in the Delaware area, Wilmington, right? Yes. Wilmington, Delaware. And for our listeners out there, tell them what you're doing up there in Wilmington, Delaware, and maybe a little something about your family as well.
I have 13 years ago, My wife and I and two other couples decided there was a need for a Bible-preaching church. We met in the kitchen, started it, and 13 years later, I'm associate pastor. Still have my wife by my side in ministry, and I'm absolutely blessed to get to share the Word of God in this area that I live. And you mentioned your bride, Christina, right? yes and that is right married 36 years i believe if i'm not mistaken 36 years we were we have an absolute miracle story we couldn't have kids but god had a different plan and we adopted a daughter 31 years ago and god expounded on that miracle seven years ago and gave me a grandson oh come on congratulations on that and uh yeah i have experienced that uh for the first time in the last year plus as my youngest daughter Colby and her husband Andrew just a little over a year ago adopted their first and then just recently adopted their second.
So Elliot and Maya are their little babies, a little boy, a little girl and absolutely beautiful. Yeah, absolutely beautiful. And so that whole adoption thing was a new experience for us. But what an incredible experience for them and for the whole family, you know, to be able to just love on those babies who, you know, maybe might not have had the best, grew up with the best set of circumstances, right? But now they will.
They're going to grow up in a very godly home in Colby and Andrew's house and be trained up the way they should go and on the Word of God. And so thrilled for them and thrilled for you. And so you mentioned ministry. I know you and your wife have Divine Threads. Is that what the ministry's called?
Yes. We do a clothing ministry for needy and homeless in our area, and God has taken that to where we have sent clothes to Ukraine, to Cuba, to South America.
So this little church in Claymont, Delaware, is reaching around the world with clothing for those in need. Ah, wow. That's a butt God, right? Butt God. Yeah.
That's amazing. And I know you're involved as well. I know you're involved in biker ministry too for many years now. Yeah, always loved motorcycles. and when I came to know Christ, I decided that I wasn't going to get on my bike without asking him to lead me and be able to share the word with people that he puts in my path.
And it's been 30 years of building some of the greatest friendships any human being could ask for. That's pretty amazing. And we won't divulge the full story. I'm going to encourage people to go over and listen to your whole story over on the Man Up show. Go into the archives and check out Check out that story of Haas Piyosaki, and you're going to find out how at the age of 23, how his brother, not through words, but through his brother's walk, was able to show Christ to him, saved him from drugs and alcohol, and that launched him all these years later into just this faithful walk.
And last but not least, just a while back, of course, you came to Man Camp. I came up your way. You brought me up your way. But then you came down my way, came down to Georgia and attended Man Camp. And I know you said it was pretty life-changing.
Again, people get more of the story over on the other show. but just take a minute and tell people how Man Camp impacted your life. Yeah I think pretty amazing diminishes it It absolutely I had 25 30 years of being a believer under my belt and never experienced anything. You talk about raw, Holy Spirit-filled, one-on-one, strip you down, kind of the potter and the clay kind of story. just rebuilds you.
If you don't come out of that different, you didn't put anything into it. Wow, that's quite a statement right there. And I want to highlight something else you just said. All those years of walking with Christ, but recognize and realize there's still areas of growth. I know I sometimes cross people like, oh man, yeah, I don't need that camp.
Man, I'm good. Me and Jesus are tight. You know, I'm like, yeah, so there's no room for improvement. Is that what I'm hearing? Because the Apostle Paul said, not that I have already arrived.
I press on, right?
So anyway, all kidding aside, that's a great testimony in and of itself that even though you're walking that many years with the Lord, you still saw the need for a camp like Man camp to be able to even draw even James 4 8 right draw closer to God amen that's right yeah and so and you know and if those of you listening out there have an interest to learn more guys gals go to go to mancamp.info mancamp.info we do one of the spring one of the fall and small groups small groups of men intimate setting as as Hoss said just coming in to avail yourself, you know, to the Lord and however he wants to meet and encounter you while you're there. And I would say a good percentage of the time men go home different. I think those are the five words, four or five words I hear the most, Haas, at the end of the week is, this week changed my life. Five words, I guess. This week changed my life.
And so you're testifying to that as well. How can people, if people are passing through Delaware and wanted to, or go online and check out Iron Faith Fellowship, how can they do that? Where can they go? Yeah, you can just Google it. We come up.
All of our messages between Pastor Randy and myself are all taped, and you can look them up on YouTube. You can just type in Iron Faith Fellowship claim on, and all of our information comes up. all of our past preaching comes up. And a better thing for me would be if you're coming through Claymont, just come on in. Hmm.
Okay.

How did you get from wrestling to ministry? You know, I was checking in for a flight one time at the gate, actually, and the flight, the gate agent, recognized the name, had been an old school wrestling fan and asked me a very similar question. Basically said, what are you doing now? I said, well, I appreciate you asking. I go, I'm essentially in full-time ministry.
I travel all over the world, sharing the gospel, the good news of Jesus. She looked at me and she paused for a moment. She goes, wow, that's like two polar opposite ends of the world, pro wrestler evangelist. She goes, you know, how that happened? I said, well, two words, but God, but God, right?
So I did not grow up in church, but that's not to say I had never heard the story, the man Jesus you know and the salvation message I had heard it in the past I just you know had no interest in it or did nothing with it And so at Beth Haas I had had knowledge of that plan of salvation and the story of Jesus But it wasn't until age 34, and I had met a Christian couple through, I had left wrestling about 11 months prior. and I'd met this Christian couple through a business venture and befriended them. They're just wonderful people, wonderful people. And kind of like you saying, you know, your brother, you know, really led you to the foot of the cross by his walk and not his words. And that was really kind of this couple, you know, just watching them in business meetings and things, you know, just spending time around them, you know, even going over to their house and, you know, breaking bread together with them.
You know, I just saw that difference in them. And, you know, that one thing led to another, and I eventually called them and said, hey, I'll be at your church Sunday morning. They're like, all right, great, well, we'll meet you there, you know. And they did and sat with them, and it was in that service that I had really kind of an aha moment of what's missing. I knew something was missing.
And just couldn't put my finger on it. And what was missing was that personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I was successful, but I was unfulfilled. And none of the trophies or championship belts or the roar of the crowd had any sustainability to it. They were at best temporary.
And so then that morning, 17 October 1993, I went forward, went to the altar, got on my knees and accepted Jesus Christ, you know, confessed and repented and encountered Jesus. And, you know, from that moment till now, life's never been the same. I mean, it's been highs and lows and ups and downs and twists and turns. But recognizing that all comes along with it. And then it wasn't until five years later in 98 that I officially launched Koloff for Christ Ministries.
I would say, Haas, in that first five years, it would have been more hands-on discipleship, going out on building projects around the world and chaperoning my daughter's youth group around the world that all fed me those first five years before I officially launched the ministry.
So never in a million years would I have ever thought I'd be doing what I'm doing now.
well praise god you are yeah and i'm grateful i'll tell you this side note real quick um i was driving recently down to greenwood south carolina and i had a buddy with me he's kind of like a jonathan for me right he he mentoring him and he assists me and and we're driving on these back roads i said i said richard i would have never guessed back in 1984 85 86 when i was driving on this very same road we're on right now to the Greenwood Civic Center to entertain people, you know, a crowd in a wrestling ring, would I be driving down this road to go do a man-up conference at a church next door to Greenwood? And I'm like, but God, but God. But God. He had a plan. Amen.
Yeah. What else you got? That's a great question. Thank you. All right.
Yeah. God made it very clear from the beginning of his desire and his empowerment of the male. Right? We are to be the leaders of our house. He created man first.
There's so much emphasis on being a man, and there's such a need in the church for men. How did you... Men, obviously, are your focus. How did God put that on your heart that he could use you to build up and strengthen men to be the men that God wants them to be? Great question.
And I'm going to add one little caveat to or one word to what you said about men being the leader. And I always like to add the word servant in front of that. that God has called men to be servant leaders in our homes, out in the community, in the marketplace, in church, in the church setting, wherever we're at. We're to lead by example and serve, which Jesus modeled for us when he washed the feet of the disciples. He didn't have to do that.
And people wonder, why did he do that?
Well, because he was modeling what it looks like to be a servant, to humble yourself and serve other people. and so for me, back in 19, no, I'm sorry, fast forward 2006, 1993, I give my life to Christ, I'm walking with him for 13 years, I'm introduced to a ministry out in Texas called Fellowship of the Sword and God put it on my heart to go attend one of those camps and I did in March of six and and it it impacted my life and and there was a a teaching on biblical manhood and I would say up to that point my my view of manhood was still somewhat defined by how the world defines it but I saw so many amazing things through that teaching, Haas, that I'm like, oh my gosh, I haven't implemented hardly any of that, or at least not some of that into my life.
So it changed me. And I went back and I volunteered three more times, you know, on my own dime just to serve, and then eventually brought that camp to the East Coast. And then eventually Lex Luger and I would launch Man Camp. And so all the way back to 2006, God began to put men on my heart to begin to minister to men. And so I believe because of the wrestling persona and the respect I had from men, but you know women as well but you know over the years men have said well I really looked up to you I got into weightlifting because you I got into bodybuilding because you I got into wrestling because you you know this that and the other right and so there was an obvious influence I had on others and and to now be able to use that for God's glory to to take the wrestling platform draw people in but then turn turn around and share the good news and the gospel with them has been nothing short of amazing to me personally.
And then more specifically for men, over the years it has evolved and developed into a man-up breakfast, a man-up dinner, a man-up intensive conference, and then the full-blown, not the appetizer, but the entree, a full-blown men's camp that you came to and experienced for yourself. And that's a deep dive. That's the deep dive. And all of it is designed to empower and equip men to go back home or to go home, be that godly man, the godly father, godly husband, godly grandfather, you know, that God has created us to be. And so, yeah, I'm very passionate about men's ministry and ministering to men.
Yep. Yep. I'm glad you are.
Well, I appreciate it. And I appreciate you. Two great questions. Thank you. And I appreciate those questions.
